Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
What house cleaners wish you would do before they arrive?
This is an interesting subject matter. I mean cleaning services,
whether it's a whole cleaning service and they probably send
you a document that says do this before, don't do this,
or if it's just like a lady you know or
you know a young person that you know who's cleaning
(00:27):
for you or cleaning something. There are things that they
wish you did before they arrive. Do you guys want
to take any guesses like making.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Sure the pets are outside or ken old or something.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Secure your pets is one of the biggest ones. Yeah,
secure them or make sure that they've met.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
I mean the other one to me would be at
least picking up the basics there. You know, somebody who's
there to clean is there to clean, not really to
pick up after you.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
It's the number one thing is does it pick up
the clutter. They're not there to organize unless you ask
somebody to come organize my refrigerator, organize my kitchen. That's
a different service as to clean. Yeah, but picking up
stuff because I'm sure in that world there are people
who clean for a living who are like, I'm going
to have to move everything first to actually get a
(01:10):
good vacuum or sweep or mop here.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah. Like if you've got a kid's playroom too, that's
just got toys all over the place.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. What's so funny about it is
when we were little. I bet you don't even know this, Murphy.
There was a time when my mom went when she
didn't work, and there was a time when she went
back to work. And for a time during that time
when she was working, also we had someone who who
came and cleaned the house about once a month. Her
name was miss Eva. And the day before she the
(01:37):
night before she was coming, I swear my mom pre
cleaned the house. I'm like, why are you sweeping in here? Well,
I just don't want her to think that we're filthy animals.
But you don't have to pre clean. But they do
want you to have it ready for them to clean.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I think that they know the reason that they have
set up their own business is to do the cleaning part.
Of course, of course it is, and that's really and
when you get to working, you know, to working parents,
it's the deeper cleaning that ends up being the difficult
stuff to do. The day to day stuff is pretty easy.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Afin you're picking up. But yeah, regardless, I mean, if
you're a double working household, a lot of times, I
mean you do need you do need it, but you
need to know what they need. Communicate your preferences and priorities.
If you don't want, you know, spray on your furniture,
then don't don't have it, and don't let tell them
you don't want it.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, I've had them in the past. They asked me,
what do you want me to focus on this week?
It's like, oh, baseboards this week? Do you regular cleaning?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
But also focus That's fantastic. It's all about communication.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, coming up, Jody has three things to know today.
That's at six fifty and next it's keep the Wow Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Keep the Wow time. We want to hear about the
ways that you are currently wowing yourself. It's about your
positive self talk and self esteem and you can share
it with us anything eight seven seven three one zero
four msj the.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Voicemail, Hey, Murphy, Sam and Jody. My name's Katie. I
wanted to call and talk to y'all about my whow winds.
They have all ninety pounds. Who is a big decision
to do, but it is well worth it. You'll have
a good day.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Wow did she say?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
She said nine zero ninety.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, Wow, congratulations. That is a lot not easy. That's commitment.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Once you've lost that much, I would assume you feel
like a different person.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
I mean ninety pounds. I think of just the weight alone.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah, you feel like a different person. A long time ago,
when I was in school, I was in school with
this young man and he had lost a lot of weight.
I didn't see him for one whole semester, and then
he came back to school and he had lost a
lot of weight, and I remember saying to him, oh
my gosh, I thought, you feel like a different person.
He was getting healthy and all this, and he had
(03:51):
some health problems, and he was like, I am a
different person. That's old me.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
You know another reason that's a wow is because that
is the long game, Kadie. Yeah, I know, you know it,
but it's one hundred million little decisions. You make a
decision to go for a walk, you make the decision
to eat a chicken breast instead of chicken fingers or whatever.
It's a million little decisions that you just have to
(04:18):
stretch out because it's a long game for you to
get there. Yeah, it certainly is a whow all right.
From Murphy Samonjody dot Com Mark synth This, I want
to share my wow. I'm a professor at Tech. I
love the work I do. The first WOW relates to
the staff and faculty in the College of Emerging and
Integrative Studies. We're like family. We're there for each other,
ups and downs, all of it. The second WOW comes
(04:40):
from amazing students who are kind, respectful, and smart. The
third WOW is the joy I feel when I teach
a concept that is foreign to students, then I see
them grasp it like a light bulb going on. In
my opinion, it's the best job in the world. It
doesn't feel like work.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
That's satisfaction when you feel success and somebody gets something
that's a brand new concept through.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
A wow's coming. We love having you along.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Outsider the latest buzz. Jody's Hollywood Outsider. There is a
new crime drama show dropping today, the first season on
Amazon Prime, and you better believe I'm going to be watching.
I'm excited to tell you about this because it's Nicole
Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis, And you may know this
(05:28):
name from the literary world Scarpetta by doctor K. Scarpetta.
Joe solemnly swear she's a medical examiner and she's it's
crime drama based on the Scarpetta books. Does that name
anything to you, guys? Oh? Okay, there are twenty nine books.
The first one came out I don't know how many
(05:50):
years ago, and it's about this woman who is a
medical examiner and investigator and she has real personal reasons
to be in that spot because her father was murdered
years ago and she is you know, that became her obsession.
And then her sister is also a very lively character,
and the sister is played by Jamielee Curtis. Jamie Lee
(06:12):
Curtis could not believe this has never been brought to
the screen, called up the author, Patricia Cornwell and said,
who owns your novels? I want the rights? And she
was thought she was gonna have to battle to buy
them from somebody. She's like, nobody has ever wanted to
bring these to the screen, and so now it's here,
and so it's like a crime drama, but it also
has a lot of family dynamics. It looks really good.
(06:33):
It's today on Amazon Prime.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Coming up next, Sam has Music News, We are getting
a new George Michael movie and album.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Sam Scott Music News.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Kind of a surprise today we are getting a George
Michael concert film and live album this year.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I miss him so much. He's comfort to me.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
This is the film, the video I was going to
be released in theaters. It's called George Michael The Faith Tour,
and it's from nineteen eighty eight when he was on
the Faith Tour what in Paris?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
They used fourteen cameras, thirty five millimeter film. They recorded
the whole thing, Yes, and then somebody said all right,
and I put it away and they just rediscovered it
and so they've mastered it and they're going to put
it out in theaters.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
When when When?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I don't know. I don't have a date on it yet.
He's been gone ten years. It was actually was ten
years in December.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Years in December.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
They're also, in addition to that, releasing The Faith Tour
an eighteen track live album I Want It with selections
from that concert and also some unreleased recordings from the
tour as well, and it's going to be a combo
of Wham and George stuff.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Okay, that's fine. That Faith album, you can, that's one
of those that you can listen front and back and
you're you're like, you know half of it and the
rest of it is like an old friend.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
You're like, oh, yeah, yeah, I'll let you know when
I hear about the movie.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Oh I'll be going with with girlfriends to see that.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Speaking of movies, you know, we have the Michael Jackson biopic
coming out April twenty fourth.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Can you lawyer the lights from you please? Okay, but
remember in here, keep those feats still.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Man, Michael Jackson and Quincy there well. Coincide with that.
Universal Music is re releasing eight Michael Jackson motown era
albums coming up in May of this year. And these
are like the real old ones, all the way up
till he was about to kick it off and be
a solo act, like you're gonna get ABC on. There
(08:27):
got to be there, ben, you know, all the old
classic Jackson five slash Michael Jackson stuff. They're gonna be
released on colored vinyl that each of the vinyls is
gonna match the original album artwork, so like the blue
one with ABC, So the album the vinyl will be blue,
you know, Okay, And they're making an extra one that's
gonna be twenty five tracks. That's gonna be a great
(08:48):
Jackson five Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits album. You're gonna hear
some stuff on the alread you haven't heard before, but
for the most part, it'll be all the songs you know.
Now here's the catch on this one. This is the
fine print. Universal Music Japan is releasing these, okay, but
you will be able to get ahold of these online
through Amazon or on eBay, so they're not officially released
(09:08):
in the US. Not officially in the US.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Now coming up next, Three things to Know Today. Three
things to Know Today. Number one, Former President Barack Obama
announced that the Obama Presidential Center is set to open
this summer on Chicago's South Side. Grand opening celebrations will
be in June for a few days with a series
of events. The campus will include a museum of course, yeah,
(09:34):
a branch of the Chicago Public Library, lots of green
spaces with public art, and of course, a basketball court
that how all happens the opening this summer. Number two,
the National Park Service is issuing a quicksand warning for
Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area for the shorelines and there's drainage.
(09:56):
There are drainage areas that are costs for concern. This
is the northern par of Arizona and the southern part
of Utah. They said it's rarely life threatening, but getting
free from quicksand can be.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Exhausting, as we all know from the movies.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
At the tips are stay calm, do not struggle frantically,
lean back, spread your weight out, and use slow, deliberate
motions in case you ever need to know that.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
And hopefully a friend can throw you a branch too.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Okay. Number three, The Britney Spears mug shot will stay
private after her DUI arrest last week. They say it
just doesn't meet the criteria. Apparently mugshots being released need
to be for violent crimes or those considered a threat
to the public. Her blood alcohol content was zero point
zero six percent, which is below the legal limit, and
(10:42):
at this time she still said she had one mimosa
before getting behind the wheel.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
You're up to date. Three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
How to avoid a Facebook marketplace scam.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Don't use Facebook market Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I knew Murphy was going to say that his favorite. Look,
we've had some not great situations. You put something up there,
let's just say a dresser, you put a picture of it,
and you put yeah, and then you start getting all
these crazy people who don't really exist, going where are you?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
What's your phone numbers box? That are hitting you up?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yes, by the way, though it's not going anywhere. About
a billion people a month's shop on Facebook market sure.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
I mean, look, I get it. It's a convenient thing
if it's too expensive to ship and you really wanted
to sell and somebody can pick it up locally, I
mean why not. Yes, you just have to do your
due diligence.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I've seen sites where you're shopping for consignment type things
like let's just say I dress and then I've seen
the same dress on Facebook Marketplace and it is for
certain the same person, So like, oh, you're local. Okay, anyway,
didn't you buy your ounie? Yeah on Facebook Marketplace and
you went and picked it up.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Drive about an hour, but it was worth it for
the deal.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Good?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Okay, that's great, and then that's up to you. Number
one is meet locally in person at a place public place,
public place, like not in your driveway, not in their driveway,
you know, not in homes. Do it and you can
do it at a police station, public parking lots, things
like that. That's where you agree to meet where you
(12:15):
know there's surveillance. That's because you're dealing with strangers. Payment
methods for a local they do say they do recommend
cash in person, recommend cash or PayPal or Facebook pay
which you can reverse and you have buyer protection. Don't
necessarily recommend like Venmo and zel because that's harder to
reverse if you got scammed. Okay, check the profile of
(12:37):
the seller. Is it a new profile? Do they have
any friends?
Speaker 3 (12:41):
You know?
Speaker 2 (12:41):
That's a that's another red flag. My thing is this
and we don't. I don't do it a lot because
the whole Murphy's like, does this person do we have
any common friends?
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I'm smart.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Keep communication in messenger as part of as part of it,
if you ever have if getting scammed, yep, don't don't.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Give your phone number. Don't do the texting thing.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah, and it's the two of the things to quickly
look out for. The overpayment scam where they want to
pay you more than you're even asking, and they're pressuring
you to do something quickly. Back away from that. That's
a scam.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So, Jody, you and I still have the terrarium set
up from our Beard to Dragons Rum no longer alive,
and that's the one you were going to sell them.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Every time I put it up there, I get the
I'm coming today, I'm coming to get it now, and
it's I feel the pressure and I just can't. So
we're gonna stick with it.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Coming up, Jody has three things to know today and
next your morning pick me.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Up, Morning pick me up time. There is a Facebook
page that has gone a bit viral, and rightly so,
started by two friends. Their names are Tamra and Brandy,
and they're getting some national attention because of the title
of their Facebook pages. You can't be serious, I know, Sam,
(13:58):
get it out of your system. It's not a out
the movie Airplane.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Oh yeah, surely, you can't be serious.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
It's not that at all. It's actually the most lovely thing.
So give them a follow if you want to. After
right after COVID, when people were finally going back into restaurants,
and restaurants were and I still are largely. Sometimes you'll
walk into one and you realize, oh, they're understaffed. You know,
(14:23):
they wanted to do something to raise money for servers
who were trying to get back into the workforce, who
were busting it, who weren't getting tipped, and so they
would collect They started collecting money in their community, you know,
in their schools, in their neighborhoods, and then on the
you can't be serious on their Facebook page and they
have surprised many, many, many servers across the country with
(14:47):
big tips. Here's a little of it.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Tonight, said to you one.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Hours. We've both been servers for we know what it
feels like when somebody walks away without tipping. So we
just didn't want them to feel appreciated. One balls, two
hundred and thirty one dollars. Yeah, so they'll note a
server who's extra busting it. Who I guess they find
(15:13):
out somehow that they're not getting as many tips as
they really really should. It's a crazy economy, you know.
They'll raise money for a certain amount of time and
then go to the place dine and in the end
it's like, oh, by the way, come see here's your tip.
It's really cool.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah, see, and they're crowdsourcing the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah, I mean it's just growing on itself. And you
can't be serious is the title of the I know
you love it. You know, you don't know that until
you're in that You if you're a good tip er,
you assume that everybody else is, but it's not true.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah. I mean, look, Jody, both of our daughters have
been in the you know, they've been servers and they've
had great tips and they've had stiff, bad ones. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, and it's so disheartening because that's what you're working
for in that industry. So I wanted to shout them out.
It's called you can't be That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Trending now, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Here's the update. So, the woman who allegedly fired gunshots
at Rihanna's home on Sunday appeared in court yesterday. Her
name is Evanna Ortis. She has been charged with attempted
murder and assault assault. Her lawyers tried to enter a
plea deal for her and the judge was like, no,
we're withdrawing that, that's not happening. She is expected to
return to court on March twenty fifth, which is not
(16:30):
far away. She allegedly fired multiple rounds at the home
on Sunday while Rihanna was home with her three children.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Kid's really too.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
And the police arrested her in a nearby parking lot.
So it's a really high bond, one point eight million dollars.
She's not going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
It wasn't an AR fifteen.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
It was an AR fifteen. They're trying to investigate how
she got this, Why she got it. That's a big
question mark here, like why why do you seem to
have a beef with someone that you don't really even know.
But there's another thing. As they investigate, they found out
that she tried to sue Billie Eilish last year. So
she brought a lawsuit at the time. She lived in
(17:10):
Orlando at the time, and Billie Eilish was there doing
a concert and she tried to sue her, you know,
saying she suffered immediate and irreparable harm due to the
noise and traffic of that concert. A judge dismissed that
case right away before it could even go to court.
She tried to get like one hundred thousand dollars for
damages because that show was happening near her coming up.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
It's seven p fifty three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Join us anytime, love having you along. You can do
it on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and even email us
at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Connie said as a message showdy for you. She says,
if you don't mind, what model of vibration plate did
you get? I assume she's asking, because you know we
told the story of me kicking it in the middle
of the night in the dark. The other.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Leave it out. I've scooched it way back against the
wall after using it, since.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
She says her physical therapist wants her to get one
to improve her lymphatic drainage. Oh yeah, since my breast
cancer surgery. I have issues with lymp edema.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Thank you so important lymphatic drainage so that everything goes
in your body where it's supposed to go and with inflammation.
And I hear that they're really good for that, so yay,
the one that I bought. The brand is I hope
I say it right. Marac marac maroc me r a.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
C hm r A c h okay.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
But I literally just picked it as like a mid level.
You know, I didn't know what I was doing when
I chose that.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Yeah, it wasn't an Amazon bestseller.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
It might have had some good ratings. That's the one though,
So good luck with it. Do it and get on
it every day. It feels fantastic.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Jody uses hers every day. She tries to talk when
she's doing it too, right.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Okay, this is for you, Sam, tomur Sam and Jody
dot Com. Mister Sam, this is from TJ. My heart
goes out to you, brother. This is about when you
were talking about your dog Gus. Oh yeah, and the
day that you knew it was it was his time.
Losing a close pet is close to losing a child almost.
I could tell that was hard on you when you
(19:18):
spoke about it just before Halloween. This past year, we
lost a cat that we'd had since she was born.
She was eighteen.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Lord, that's a long life.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
I still watch for her involuntarily when I back out
to leave for work. I still watch for her when
I opened the side door. I used to worry out
accidentally sweep.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Her off of the pit.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
She was far too old to take a bump like that,
Like that anyhow much love to you and all of you.
To MSJ, I'm sure Gus is missed, God blessed.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yes he is. Thank you very much, TJ. I appreciate that. Yeah,
and a similar situation. The first couple of weeks after
Gus was gone, I kept looking for him or thinking
I would see him around.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Right, because they're a part of your day to day life.
They're a part of your family. Of course you look
for if you're used to.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to note today.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Here's three things to know today. Number one, if you
thought security lines at the airports for TSA were bad
this past weekend in the last couple of days, given
another couple of days, because we're hearing now that three
hundred or so TSA agents have just quit since the
partial government shut down that's keeping them from getting paid
for the last what six weeks, and so a lot
(20:32):
of screening staff we know are still calling in sick.
That number has doubled. Okay, Houston lost like half. It's
TSA staff at Hobby, New York's JFK one in five
agents are home right now. Long lines at the TSA
and getting through security. Number two, of course, dogs are
also affected by daylight saving time. It's not just oh,
(20:57):
everyone is effective, but dogs are confused because they don't know.
They didn't get the memo and watches they want to
eat at a different time. They don't understand why the
sun's not up, but the word is and they know
this by the way that they tested working dogs like
sled dogs start getting active before their handlers show up.
But dogs also get back to normal within one or
two days. Yay for them. And number three, a Bond
(21:20):
Jovie biopic is in the works. Bands in the Air,
Ladies and Gents from Universal Pictures, the same ones who
brought us things like eight Mile and Straight out of Compton. Also,
this is being made with the complete cooperation of John
bon Jovi, and it's going to cover his early years
putting the band together, all the way through the nineteen
eighty six release of Slippery win Wets.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
You're up to date. Three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
We did an after the show podcast the other day
about your diabetes murphy when you were diagnosed twenty seven
years ago, what it's been like, all the misconceptions Type one, yeah,
type one diabetics.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Juvenile diabetes. Well, they used to call it.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
They used to. Yeah, now it's Type one because it's not.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Just and ile kids.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Yeah, not just because of the way you behave.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Anyway, based on that podcast, you have a message from
You have several messages, but this is one I want
to read to you. Hello, my name is Bella. I
am the eighteen year old college girl that my mom
Laurie messaged you all about asking you to tell your
Type one diabetic story.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Well, hi, Bella.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Your podcast meant so much and explained my emotions and
experiences to a t. Diabetics are often misunderstood and most
people don't understand the full extent of what diabetes entails.
It's so good to hear people with a great platform
talk about it. I cannot thank you enough. Mom, and
I are still learning and I have a long way
(22:48):
to go. I wish you all the best with your journey.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Well, thank you, Bella. That's really sweet. You know, you
have to understand it's really important to me, especially when
I meet somebody who honestly had the same situation I did,
where you go through part of your life and then
it's like your early adulthood and it changes for you
and she's in college.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
That's what the podcast was change everything.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
You know, it just I naturally gravitate towards wanting to
support and help that person. So it's nice to meet you, Bella.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
It's something that splits your life. Bella. Before you you
were diagnosed and now ye. Laurie, Bella's mom also sent
We listened to the podcast with tears streaming down our faces.
Thank you so much. That made me and Bella feel better.
My husband liked it too. Bella has handled this with
such maturity. I'm amazed by her, and hearing you speak
about it gave her even more confidence.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Okay, well, I'm happy to hear that. Wow, that makes
me feel good.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yeah, so that was an after the show podcast. What yesterday?
I want to say it two days ago?
Speaker 1 (23:44):
And you know, so if you know somebody with type
one diabetes or whatever, that's where we go into depth. There,
the kind of depth that we don't go into here
on the show, and it.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Needs to be because it's hard to it's hard to
understand what's going on in the body and what you're
having to do for yourself.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
And it's so different than type two, which is what
most of the diabetic population, you know is.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Jessica sent this I know this all too well. I
was just in the hospital last week with my six
year old with Type one. It's frustrating, it is scary.
This is and she sent a picture. This is the
bag of meds I had to pick up for her today.
She sent that to us.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
And at that age, I mean, you're talking about a
totally different level because you're having to help your child
learn and manage that. At the same time, you are.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Having to be a different kind of parent than you
thought you were going to have to be. Keep it coming.
We love having you along.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I want to set the scene for you here. It's
two am at my house. It's dark in the entire house,
obviously because I was asleep.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Okay, Sam, I'll.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Walk into the bathroom and there's a large dark object
in the middle of the.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
Floor and the cat have an accident.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
That's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Okay, don't step in that.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Flip the light on before I step in it. I
turn on the light and it is the largest frog
I have ever seen. Oh I'm talking, Murphy. I'm talking
the size of my hand. WHOA are you a monster frog?
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Get in the house him? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I am still trying to figure that out because Okay,
first of all, there was sheer panic because I jumped
back out of the room because it's like a big frog,
which means big frogs can jump further around me. Okay,
if they can jump, I went and got the biggest
rubber maid I had and put it over him. Okay,
you know, slid the lid under him, took him outside,
took the lid off, and let him go bocing off
(25:32):
into the yard.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Nice release.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
But yeah, that's the that's the new thing. It's like,
where did he come from?
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Do you have a doggy door? No?
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I know, I have just doors. I do leave the
back door open. No no, no, no no, no, not overnight,
just like sometime in the afternoon. I'll leave it over
a lot of cats there so he can go in
and out.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Probably it was either that or he snuck in through
the toilet, believe it or not.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I actually did the toilet. It's like that's how snakes get.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Looking in the toilet's not going to help you because
he's not. He didn't leave.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
You know a sign My bathroom is you know, a
good one hundred feet or whatever from where the back
door is, so that means he knocked around. I wasn't
paying attention.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Chopped around. We all had that sort of experience. I mean,
you've all, we've all encountered a frog, especially you never
toyed with the idea of touching him yourself.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
I wasn't touching him. It's like I've seen too many
horror movies. It's like it's a poisonous frog. He's got teeth,
or he's going to do something to me.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
This would make a lot more sense if you were
still drinking, but you don't. But you know, I've never
had a frog that big in the house. And I've
had the lead a bitty tiny ones that kind of surface.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
And I've seen those two and I think, okay, I
can attribute that to getting in a window or a
door or something, but not this monster.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Yeah, well you're okay, you survived it.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
You want me to post a picture on Facebook?
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Sure, okay, And don't leave your door open today. Is
the other thing coming up next to your Hollywood Outsider
JODI's Hollywood Outsider. The Jackson family attended an LA private
screening of the film Michael last week, and there was
some infighting. This is your story, your past, okay, So
(27:20):
what we are hearing is that Janet and Jermaine were
among the sixty who attended, and they clashed within minutes
of the lights coming up. At the end, Janet was
ripping the film apart. That's what we're told. We're being
told as she didn't the acting, the makeup was a problem.
The way actors spoke, even how they walked did not
meet her approval. Jermaine was like, can you please just
(27:43):
get on board. Even Paris Jackson sided with Jermaine, said yeah,
we like this. Let's ride this wave together. But the
word is, you know, and this is for every family,
not that every family is like the Jackson's, but you know,
it's a deeper, longer, sort of simmering problem and tensions
in the family that just come out. And she was
overcome with emotion, is what we're told. And it's also about,
(28:05):
you know, the control of his legacy. There's also been
infighting about that. What you can know and need to
know is that Michael this movie will have limited early
access screenings before its wide release. If you dine to
see it, you can see it two days ahead of
the official release date. And by the way, those one
night only showing tickets to go and sell today. So
early screenings on April twenty second of the movie Michael
(28:27):
and then the wide release April twenty fourth. If it's
new and you can eat it.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Sam's found it. He's the food Dude.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
George Clooney's in the Food news today from the Food Dude.
It's tequili now, well, actually it's related to that his
tequila brand, Cosamigos. He and his buddies that own Cosamegos decided,
you know what, we need another drink, so they have
come up with a non alcoholic Logger style beer.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Oh nice.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
It's called Crazy Mountain, don't know why, sixty five calories
and it comes in two flags, original and line.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
That sounds delicious, George.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Now it hasn't. It's going to hit the markets sometime
this year. George says. We love beer, we just don't
always want the effects that come with it.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Correct, it's a crowded market though celebrity booze is a.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
It is, but I don't know how crowded it is
for non alcoholic beer. That's a really good question. I
know a lot of you, and even non alcoholic beer
has some alcoholic They have a smidge of alcohol.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Either of you ever consider having a non alcoholic No,
I don't want to drink that. Okay.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
If it's got a smidge of alcohol, I don't want it.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Any alcohol is bad alcohol.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Okay for us at least.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yes. Olive Garden's version of the Bogo is back, and
actually I think it should be called a bow tow
bot o because it's buy one, take one.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Oh, take one home.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
This is where you go to the store. You go
to an Olive Garden, you order your meal, and then
there's a select menu of meals you can take home.
They chill it for you or freeze it for you.
You take it home and you can reheat it later on.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
So you eat at the restaurant and then you get
free meal to take home later.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
And while you're at the restaurant, it's unlimited soup, salad
and breadsticks.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
We never heard of that.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Okay. This is going to start Monday. By the way,
if you're interested, Buffalo Wild Wings in a partnership now
with Duncan and King's Hawaiian Bread. Two different items will
all together. The Duncan one is called Boozy Dunk and
cold Brew. They take Duncan Cold brew and you can
add to it Jamison Kolua or Bailey's Irish Cream.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Oh Ohank, got it?
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Really yeah, the King's Hawaiian. This is me, man, I'm
going to beat a path over there. King's Hawaiian Cheeseburger sliders.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, that sounds like you. You can always
you always had the power to do that, you know,
just like Dorothy was told in the Wizard of Oz
you could do that on your own.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
But yeah, I know. And Cinnabon now has gotten into
the dirty soda markets. They're calling there swirled soda. They
have two versions of it now, Raspberry Revelations, which is
any drink topped with raspberry syrup and a vanilla swirl.
And you ready for this one? Yes, Saints and Sinners, Yeah,
sinnas and yes it's got a little cinnamon on top.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
So good.
