Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the second half of today's Murphy, Sam and
Jody podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's almost Easter. So what you and the family need
to know if somebody wants to surprise the family with
a bunny rabbit as a pet. As with any pet,
you do need to know what you're getting into. And yes,
they're beautiful, and yes they eat vegetables, and so it
would seem like an easy thing, but they have very

(00:25):
bunny rabbits have very specific needs. You guys know anything
about having a bunny rabbit. I have one when I
was a little girl.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
No, I've just heard the stories. I mean, it's really
you know, it's all cute and fine until you haven't
started to manage them every day and make sure they're
healthy all that ours.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I don't know what happened to ours. I'm afraid my
parents just didn't want to tell me. I know that
they're prey animals.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
My parents wouldn't let us have anything but a dog.
That was it.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
They had bunnies, you did, yeah, maybe many. So they
didn't know that they were male female because they put
them in the cage and.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Sure enough, yes, you found that out fast.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, oh wow.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I don't remember anything about it, though I don't remember.
That's because they were gone quickly.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Here's what to know about bunny rabbits. They're very social,
they're very active. Yes, they bond with you, which is
lovely as a family. But you need to give them
significant time every day. They need to be out of
their enclosure every day for us several hours if possible.
But guess what if it's outside in the yard, you
need to be on top of that because they're animals

(01:27):
of prey right. The other thing is you need to
have a bunny savvy vet in your You need to
call a vet and make sure that you can because
they need care too, just like any pet. They really do,
by the.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Way you said, when they're out outside, but also when
they're inside. The one we had used to eat cords
on TVs.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Here, you have to bunny put your house. Okay, what
do they eat? They eat hay and vegetables. Our friends
Randy and Carol had a couple of bunnies and I
remember her running into the store, running into her at
the store and she was buying kale for that bunny.

(02:09):
They require grooming. If it's a long haired bunny rabbit,
you're gonna have to brush that thing every day or
it's gonna get maded up. It's true.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
So how old did they have to be before you
train them to hide Easter eggs? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Another thing is you need to know handling can be
very sensitive. They have tiny little bones. They don't really
like to be held necessarily. You need to know that
if their small children involved, just know before you go.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Before you get one. Coming up next, Jody has three
things to know today.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Brought to you by a state farm.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Number one National Park Week starts tomorrow, so it's one
of the six free entry days this year. You and
your family can enjoy a National park on Saturday with
no admission fee. The warning is you might be hard
pressed to find a bathroom. Because of federal cuts right
now and layoffs across the National Park Service, some of

(03:03):
the parks have been forced to close their restrooms and
visitors centers, and so be prepared. Be aware that it
might not be accessible to you. Number two Congress is
coming after twenty three and meters the genetic testing and
ancestry company that filed for bankruptcy just weeks ago. This
letters have been sent to the CEO asking questions about

(03:26):
user data, and they want answers back by May first,
so you know, kind of get on it. A lot
of customers have claimed that they're having trouble deleting their
data from the site, which could include their DNA. So
your health info, by the way, is usually protected by
hippo laws, you know, but it's not covered under third
party companies, which is why so many customers are concerned.

(03:47):
And number three, did you hear about this hero dog
that found the missing two year old girl in Arizona? No,
it was an overnight search. She was two years old
and during the search they saw two mountain lions and
that made them even more scared. Parents were frantic. Buford
the ranch dog came to the rescue his owner and
some volunteers found the toddler hanging out with Beauford the

(04:10):
hero dog. You're up to date. Three things to know today.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Sam's got music news, Rocky Bye, t Mobile, Morgan Wile,
and clearing up pretty much all the rumors about his
new album that's coming out May the sixteenth. I'm the problem, Okay,
here we go, he says, Yes, there are thirty seven
songs on it. Thirty seven songs.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Yes, there is another post Malone duet. It's called I
Ain't Coming Back and it's dropping today, so go look
for it everywhere. Nice and he says, as far as
the rumors about which female country artist he's singing with,
it's not a country artist, it's a pop artist, Canadian
Tate McCrae. Yes, their song is called what I Want.
And he says there's also duets with Eric Church, Hardy
and Earnest and this is really cool. He has dropped

(04:55):
a new acoustic session on us. He and his band
went to an abandoned auto shop. Okay, they recorded some
of the songs off this upcoming album, but they did
it acoustically. Here's the first one, called justin case.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I say that I always sleep whole.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I say that I am made.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
No one's done a little bit of me.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
I'm moving on.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
I ain't saying when you can go find those right
now on YouTube. I don't think there's gonna be an
album of those. But he's just doing the videos on
YouTube and you see him sitting around all the oily
rags and shop stuff from there.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
That's cool country.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
By the way, they said it's acoustic, but there's electric
guitar in there here and there. You know, it's kind
of like MTV Unplugged sometimes put electric in. Yeah, Heart's
adding a whole month to their summer tour. We am
the entire month of August. They've just announced dates for
an Evening with Heart, which, by the way, I didn't
know this until now. They promised that every every stop

(05:52):
on the tour they're doing two full sets, so that
they're going to do a whole set of songs. Take
a little breck break and come out and do a
whole other set of songs.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Two for the price of one.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
It's bogo it is. And if you show up late,
you still get a whole show.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Yeah, not that you would, No, you wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
And Todd Rundgren is opening for him on those And
this weekend, the second weekend of Coachella. Tonight you get
to check out Missy Elliott and Lady Gaga by the way,
here she is from last week. And of course all
weekend you have post Malone, who might have Morgan show up.

(06:28):
You get Green Day. The one I want to share
with you though, because I saw this last week. It
was amazing, because they're on YouTube all weekend or Benson
Boone doing Bohemian Rhapsody. Here's how it started?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Is that cool or what?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
He had a choir, yeah, and then of course he
launched into the song. And during the song, Brian May
from Queen came out and did a solo.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Well that's how you do it.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah, o kid, And I'm hoping he does it again
this weekend.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
He'll be tonight as well.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Coming up, Jody has another Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Coming up next. Grateful Friday continues, and also Rebecca has
some advice about doggy daycare. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook,
and YouTube. You know why I love having you there
because of the things you send us all these late.
I shared my red fingernails this because I was feeling
read this week, and you showed me your nails.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I didn't notice your red fingernails showed shame on it.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
I don't know how, but well, today's the first day
named Red or just Red classic Red stealing cloud. You
can't go wrong. You want to know the truth story.
I wanted to go shorter, but in going shorter, I
still wanted to be sort of fabulous. So Red, you
read what's fabulous? Jolina sent us a picture of her.
Every woman who saw that post sent us a picture

(07:49):
of her nails. It's so fun to go look at
there are nails on there that look like Easter eggs
right now.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
I am, honestly, I'm fascinated by nails period. Everywhere I go,
whether it's a you know, a or a retailer, wherever
you run into.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
You just it's nice and it makes you feel good.
The person wearing, you know, with the painted nails. It
just makes you feel nice. Julina sent us a picture
that and she's wedding ready. I get married on Saturday
and she has, so congrats Julina, and she had classic
light French tip. Beautiful, perfect for a wedding. Kimberly sent

(08:24):
us hers my current color is called Cat's Eye. Having
them redone this weekend and Cat send us I'm feeling
blue and these in their blue pit. They're painted blue
and she says they glow at night. Ooh cool.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I would like to see that.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
On our Facebook and Instagram page. There walking around the
room exactly, So thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Got this one from Rebecca. This is about the doggy
Day after the Daycare after the Show podcast that we
did our oldest daughter Taylor used to work there, and
Rebecca says, I was a manager of a doggie boarding
in daycare facility until I retired. Everyone who has a
dog should learn about their dogs bab behavior according to
its breed and its needs. That's true, Jody. You and

(09:05):
I raised, you know, have had multiple breeds like that,
and they're all very very different. You have to treat
them very differently.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Right, it's not all one dog fits all.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Right.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I got one here from Alicia, and this is kind
of for you, Murphy. It's about when you said that
the food trucks are always good, they always have food,
and she says, we have food trucks that work every day.
A different one comes each day on a rotation, lots
of wings and tacos. Generally you can find something to
eat on all of them. But we have a few
that have no options whatsoever, that are less than a

(09:33):
lava heat level.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Ooh, that's the only thing I'm not so crazy about.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
But the rest yet, those are still popular, but those
days end up being Peebe and Jay Day's okay.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
So wat jump in with us anytime, you know, we
love having you along. Coming up next, your Hollywood Outsider,
The Latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Brought to you by Private Team.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Miss Glenn Powell is just one of those it actors
in Hollywood right now. He's everywhere. He seems to be
a to do anything. The first time I ever noticed
him was in Top Gun Maverick.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Which twenty hall has what it takes to follow me.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Let's go, let's do what you got.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Hang Man's coming.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Okay, hang Man is who he was, and I remember,
oh my gosh, such presence. And then since then what
he's done. A bunch of romantic comedies twisters. He shows
up on the red carpet with his parents. He almost
has a Ryan Gosling vibe. Can do serious, can be
the leading man, but also can sing and dance. So
speaking of it, he is teaming up here's the news

(10:34):
with Judd Apatowl for a new comedy. We know he
brings the comedy. They're writing this together about a fallen
country Western star, which means which means Glenn would be, yeah,
the fallen. I bet he can sing too.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
I bet he can do comedy real well.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Judd Apatowl. Remember the movies he brings us, Cable Guy
Knocked Up. This is forty and many many more. So
look for that. Like I said, they're writing that one together.
Speaking of comedy, Will Ferrell this weekend, look for him
while you're watching basketball. He's teamed up with PayPal in
the campaign these commercials. He's in the bathtub. Don't come in.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I'm still in here.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I don't care if this is the only bathroom in
the house.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
This is my time.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
When you see it, it is Will Ferrell for PayPal.
We do have our favorite Easter recipes for you at
Murphy Salmon Jody dot com, including Sam's Mom's potato salad recipe,
which is my personal favor in the world.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
It doesn't have ham in it, Yes it does. Yeah, yeah,
and you have to make it in ten pound batches.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
You can do the math and yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
So a question for you, have you ever been so
tired that you just go stupid? You know, you're right
that you, I mean seriously that you are just You're
amazed at the dumb things that you're doing at the moment,
because like, okay, I just need to go to bed.
And I'm gonna give you an example of this is
the first time this has happened to me, this extreme uh,
you know, traveling. I'm back, Thank goodness to Jody and
I are friendly sleeping in the same bed again. It's

(11:58):
wonderful with the.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Pillow Murphy and I woke up with the real Murphy.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But you know, I mean, travel takes it out of you.
The schedule that I was on we still you know,
obviously I was doing the show with you all from
here and then that the events that I was attending,
it was a very long day, was you know whatever.
It was five in the morning until eleven o'clock at night,
three days in a row. So by the time you know,
I'm leaving it to come back. Three things happened one
day that were just stupid because I was tired. One

(12:23):
of them was I was I was, I couldn't wait
to sit down at the airport. And it was this
one area where there were like a lot of seats
of them like, oh, thank goodness. So I walk over
and I sit down, and the first thing to hear,
excuse me, sir, how are you today? Look? This is
the wheelchair section. And I looked up and sure enough
there was a big sign. It's like, how did I
miss that sign? Yeah? So then I had to go

(12:43):
to the restroom and I walked into the women's restroom.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
No oh at the airport.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
The airport is it's a construction area, and it didn't
it wasn't to me. It wasn't obvious, you know. And
now I realized. When I got in there, I was like, okay,
I'll be leaving now.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
No, It's just just like I was, okay, really, you know,
I'll walk out a yeah, and I know. And then
the third thing is it's like, okay, well maybe if
I get a little bit of caffeine or some snacks.
I went into a snack place and I'm standing in
the line of like, sir, you can use the little
self checkout. I'm like, okay, cool, that's easy. So I

(13:16):
go over to the scanner. I scan the eminem's that
I bought in a little diet coke and and it
says tap to pay, and so I'm following the screen
and I'm touching the card everywhere and it's not and
the guy reaches any points at the little thing that
actually has to keep ad on it. So I'm sitting
there tapping on something that wasn't going to ever accept
the payment, and there are like four people behind me
wonders Why is this tapping on the screen tap the

(13:39):
pays over here. I'm so sorry, you know I just
need to start all over.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You need a good night's sleep, a good weekend's rest.
