Speaker 1 (00:18):
How are you, Emma good?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
I'll come at your road trip snacks. Yes, I get
twizzlers and another thing I do. You guys were talking
the other day about like when you go to the
beach or you go on vacation and throwing away all
the food. Yes, I have a minifrigerator that I carry
in my car, so I put snacks and extra stodas
in there, and then like if we go somewhere along

(00:41):
like that.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yeah, you know, if.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I got food I don't want to throw away, I
just put it back into mini fridge and we eat
it on the way back.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah, okay, smart, that's a case for a mini fridge
right there.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, it's awesome and they're not that expensive.
But I will always stop at Buckys so walk around.
So thank you guys, have a great day.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Thank you, Emma. We appreciate that. I think I saw
one of those fridge things on a lightning deal or
something like that. I didn't buy it.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah right, I love the idea because I love leftovers.
I mean, I just leftovers are fantastic and Murphy forgets
about them. So honestly, when he has leftovers, I end
up having his leftovers from once the next day because he.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
I hate that.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
I forget it too, because sometimes are great work for me.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Hi, Rebecca, Hi, I was calling about your road trip
snaxt we. Actually my go to is ginger ale with
extra ginger. I have a little motion sickness and my
stub kids get touch a kick because I the whole
way there.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
You know, I bought some gingerrel recently that was so
strong I couldn't drink it. Murphy love really, Yeah, what
kind do you bought? Kind of you buy?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
I usually go to the store. I just I don't remember.
So I have ginger.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Okay, Well, the one that I bought that was very strong.
The brand is Handsoen's. Have you ever heard of that?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Okay, it's like a soda that I'll have to look
through it.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It's a really cool soda company and they have mostly
organic ingredients and stuff like that and really cool flavors.
They have a cherry vanilla flavor and it's the bomb.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
But I'll have to get my husband.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
On that, Okay, yeah, yeah, anyway, Murphy loved the powerful ginger.
I like that.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
Okay, I'll have to try that. But I just wanted
to pass that on. And I love you guys, and
I hope you have a great day.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Rebecca. Join us anytime. We'd love to hear from you.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
The whole dozen for eighty eight cents.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Oh wow, eight a whole dozen? Okay, well donuts eighty
eight cents.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Oh that's pretty impressive.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I would have thought it was a deal to get
a one donut for eighty eight cents, a whole.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Dozen, or a box of eighty eight for whatever price.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Okay, Murph, who needs that? Are we having a party?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
All right? So if you don't want donuts, I'll tell
you what else a dollar can get you. Today, Wendy's
has introduced breakfast biscuit sandwiches for buck And this is
not what You got to go on the app to
do what or you have to have a code. Just
walk into Wendy's and say you want one of their
chicken biscuits, sausage and egg, bacon, egg and cheese one dollar.
There is a limit though, five.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Okay, that's great.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah, pick up a sack for the office. Yeah. Oh,
we're a waffle house. They have apparently cold brew there
that everybody likes, so they decided to can it. They're
now selling their classic blend cold brew in a can.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Never had their cold brew because to me, I sit
down in there and there's something about the warm cup
of coffee that's a part of the experience. Yeah, however,
old brew.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
I don't know if this coffee is chunked and scattered.
Thought it some cereal news for you. If you remember,
like a year ago, they had the Kelsey Brothers had
their own cereal, a Kelsey Mix from General Mills. They
took some of their favorite cereals from when they were
a kid and combined them. Yes, well General Mills is
doing it again for more football players. We're gonna get

(04:42):
the gritty toast Crunch.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
From Justin Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yes, it's his favorite cereal. Apparently he is cinnamon toast crunch.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
He is also doing a Jettis mix which is frosted
lemon cheerios and cinnamon tro So cinnamon toast crunch strawberry
mixed together. That sound on the box okay, also cute.
And also Jamar Chase is having his own as well.
What he's doing Lucky Charms and he's doing the Lucky
strut on the front of his Lucky Charms.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Ye, Murphy, wait, when is it? I need it?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
We be here in August before football seat.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I can see you want that for a party right there.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Jody, I mean yeah, every day's a party with Jamar Chase.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Brought to you by State farm a couple.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Of new movies opening at the box office this weekend,
trying to take on Superman and Jurassic Park and all
that good stuff. Now, this one's ready, PG. It looks
really cute. Smurfs. We got a round to Papa.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Let me guess Papa Smurf's in trouble.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
All right. This is Rihanna, a Smurfat.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
She's got a new song in this movie too.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Of course, she does expect it to be very musical
and fun. James Corden is a part of this, and
you know, Papa Smurf is the voice. No, John Goodman.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Oh that's cool.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, it's perfect anyway, an hour and thirty two minutes.
It's animated and very fun. I always love the Smurfs,
and there's been a million different Smurfs movies, right, yeah,
Katy Perry was Smurfed a few years ago, exactly. Moving on, though,
we do have a scary rated R movie. It's not
exactly a sequel, but it is based on the original,

(06:19):
and it feeds off of the original movie. I know
what you did last summer? What if someone saw us
outside of us? No one knows what happened, right, It's
a good premise. Okay, it was a good premise, then
it's a scary premise. Now this one is an hour
and fifty one minutes. Who's making cameos? Jennifer Love, Hewitt,

(06:39):
Reddy Prince Junior. Okay, so I know what you did
last summer is also new this weekend, coming up with
Murphy Salmon, Jody, I'll tell you what doctor's appointment Murphy
is trying to get out of at this moment, Sam,
did Murphy tell you that he's trying to get out
of going to the doctor today?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Wow, We're trying to make it more con for everybody.
I'm trying to make it convenient from the doctor, right,
I'm trying to make it convenient for myself and everybody
because it's nothing that's you know, that's major.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Well it could be. Have you noticed his eye?

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I don't think you can tell. Does it look like
can you see anything? It doesn't? It looks normal, doesn't it?

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Think he has conjunctive iis?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
That's what I think? You know? And I think I've
got pink eye.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Two things.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I have told you this, but you know I wake
up way before you so early this morning. First thing,
my eye was feeling strange, and I was like, man,
he gave that to me and we tried to stay
away from each other last night because of this, which
is just my moisturizer had gotten into my mind.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Oh is that okay? Well that's good.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Maybe that's what happened to you America.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Well, you know, there's two kinds. There's a viral, which
is a contagious one, and then there's another one that's not.
So I have no idea which it is. I just
know that my eye is itching like crazy. Yeah, and
I don't you know, and I really didn't want to
bring that into the room. You know. Well, yeah's being
careful about, you know, touching things and that sort of thing.
So anyway, I will he touched everything. What I did

(08:05):
this morning is I'm like, all right, well let me
I'll make the appointment, but in the interest of saving
everybody time, since I know what it is, and I
even googled this. By the way, doctors love to hear
that it's an easy you know, they know what it is.
They say it's even the Mayo Clinic website says it's
an easy self diagnosis. So I screenshot that. No, I'm kidding,
I didn't screenshot that and send it to him. I

(08:25):
sent I took a picture of my eye, sent that
to him and said, hey, look, if this saves everybody time,
and I don't want to risk it spreading. You know
what I'm saying, because by the time you check in
and all that stuff, you know, an hour and a
half and all that goes by. There's no reason for
that if it's just drops at the pharmacy drops.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Or I look at him, Jody, Now maybe it's because
you put it in my head. His eye does look
a little Oh well, I'm.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Blinking a lot and it's itching me like crazy and
does not feel great.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
There's something wrong with it. If I were a doctor,
unless I had seen a hundred cases of this in
one week, I would have you come in at this raid.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I haven't had a text message yet, so it looks
like that's exactly you know what's probably going to happen.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
And you know they haven't responded to your picture.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah. You know what I didn't tell them is that
I couldn't open my eyes this morning. And that's not
because I was sleepy. It's because of the you know whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
You need to go in right, Welcome to it. Coming
up next. Three things to Know Today. Three things to
Know Today.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Brought to you by T Mobile.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Number one, the House of Representatives voted to pass the
Genius Act yesterday, the major law setting rules for cryptocurrencies.
You heard about all of this. It's so that it's that,
you know, the coins that are tied to the US
dollars so they can be used more quickly and even
for low cost payments. All of these things that they
pushed forward, it's going to help make well the US

(09:48):
to be the top country for digital money. They passed
a couple of others Clarity Act, you know, protections for
the law, and it's all expected to be signed into
law today.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Number two Peacock raising the subscription rate by three bucks
a month. They've had a big, you know, a bunch
of success over at Peacock with Love Island and then
the NBA season beginning this fall. So starting next Wednesday,
subscriptions for Peacock go up to ten ninety nine a
month with ads and sixteen ninety nine a month without ads,

(10:22):
making it the most expensive streaming service. Who saw that coming?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Netflix?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
And number three, Sunday is National ice cream Day, So
let's talk about it. We've heard for years that vanilla
is the favorite flavor. Not this year. Chocolate check the
box is number one, followed by number two the most
favorite flavor being vanilla, and in the third spot again
this year meant chocolate chip.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
You're up to date.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Three things to know today Jody's top five entertainment stories
of the week got for you best. Number five Bedney
Spear's biopic that we're supposed to get based on her
memoir The Woman in Me, has come to a complete
standstill with no clear timeline of when we're going to
get this movie. The director, John Chew and Brittany are

(11:11):
taking their time to address her concerns about working through
her vision for the project. They also say, like on
the low that she's having trouble, you know, wanting to
face this stuff again. Number four Ariana Grande is coming
back to the big screen and it was announced this
week that she, along with director John M. Chew and
Josh Gad, they're going to do the Doctor Seuss book

(11:32):
and with animation. Oh the Places You'll Go. That's a
really cool, uh project, because that book means a lot
to so many people.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Does in sea That's a graduation book, really ay.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
It Kintin of is it's a life book, so she's
going to be voicing it, and so is Josh gadd
He's no stranger to voicing fun things. Why but I've
always you know him off the right from the Frozen series,
So look for that. It's not it's going to be
a while twenty twenty eight before we get that movie.
Number three Emmy Award nominations were out this week. HBO
Max got the most, with one hundred and forty two overall,

(12:09):
including well Apple TV scored for Severance, though that one
got a lot of nominations this time around. Kind of
a head scratcher was that The Bear was nominated for
Best Comedy. I mean, that's an anxiety inducing.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Drama show brings a little comic book it happens.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
But also Kendrick Lamar nominated for Best Well the Halftime
Performance the super Bowl. Everybody's loving that nomination. Look for
that in September, hosted by the Emmys. We'll be hosted
by comedian Nate BERGATSI. Number two, we got the Stranger
Things season five trailer this week. We have to kill

(12:48):
it first official trailer. We know we're going to get
it in three parts around Thanksgiving, then on Christmas Day
that's Volume two, and then the finale we build New
Year's Eve. The story's gonna pick up in the fall
of nineteen eighty seven, more than a year after the
events of season four.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Can't wait.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
The world is ready for this Number one. You know
this was gonna be my favorite story of the week,
the movie Superman being the number one movie at the
box office right now. This DC hero that we're loving
right now, and they've definitely humanized him more well. His
dog is also a star Rypto. Crypto has sparked the
interest of everyone in the world in dog adoptions. Google

(13:29):
searches for Adopt a dog near me have shot up
five hundred because of this really Gi Schnauzer Terrier mutt mix.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Johnny Top five entertainment stories of the Week, and coming
up next, we're going to your comments from our Facebook
and Instagram for.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Sam what to do with his depressed cat?

Speaker 5 (13:48):
Social media connect from.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Our Instagram and Facebook pages. We are getting lots of
advice for you, Sam for what to do with your
depressed cat? Aboo For anyone who doesn't know why is
a boo depressed?

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Because he's a cat? No, My dog Gus passed away
last month. Yeah, about a month ago, and so I
think a Boo might be.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
He's actually that way all the time.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
He's not not all the time, but he's not acting
like he used to. He's looking for his quietly around.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Laying on the rug that Gus used to lay on.
We posted a picture of what can Sam do for
the cat? So many beautiful things coming in. Susan said,
this picture is heartbreaking. Poor a Boo, I would say,
lots of extra love and patience. And is he becoming
more clingy than normal?

Speaker 4 (14:31):
To Sam questions, Yeah, he was right Now, I have
Django over there, my son's dog. I'm dog sitting, so
he's a little off, But before that he was definitely clingy.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Giving.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Yeah, he's been following me around places he usually never
follows me. Oh he's under my legs, under my feet
in the kitchen and he never came in the.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Kitchen, Lisa, Sam can be with him, give him the
attention he needs.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Denise, our twenty year old cat, grieved her sister's passing
for three months in a closet. Tina said, are there
any dog beds or blankets that still smell like Gus
that you could give to the cat.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Some of his toys are still there.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
And does he go to them or whatever? You still
have anything? This is from Tammy. You still have anything
that has some Gus is sent Let a boo sleep
on it time to heal.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Maybe that's why he's sleeping on that rug.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
I'm telling you it reminds him of Gus. And Ramona said,
visit your local shelter. Cats are pretty much on autopilot.
Get Aboo a friend. It will make all the difference
in the world and you will be giving another homeless
petal loving home. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
See, that's I mean what I think it's the you
know again, I'm not a vet, so I don't know.
I doubt it's depression. I think it's the it's the
pattern change animals or pack animals, and so when there's
a pattern change, their world has changed, you know what
I'm saying. And that's that's what the adaptation thing is.
So not that it has to be another cat, but
maybe another dog or whatever that creates something. The new

(15:53):
routine will help get him, you know, back in a
normal schedule.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Ramona said, we now have three rescue cats because people
decided to abandon them at our house and they are
all best buds.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
One question each other. One question I have though about
Aboo and cats as he ran off one of my
other cats that I had mereda used.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
He likes dog.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
He thinks he's a dog. That's what it is.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Yeah, keep your.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Love coming, We appreciate it. You can also join us
at eight seven seven three one zero four ms J.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
The latest buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Brought to you by State Farm.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Actress Christina Applegate. I mean, how long do we feel
like we have been with her? Even before Married with Children,
she was in acting, She was acting like as a child,
and then married with Children came along, and she was
just the it girl for such a long time. And
she's so great and she's been through so much on
her life. And so she has announced that there's a
new memoir coming about her life. Oh yeah, and you

(16:51):
look she's been through a lot lately medically.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Last year when she was at the Emmy, she got
a standing ovation when she came out.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
You're totally shaming me with disability by standing up.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
It's fine, Okay, they were playing the Marriage with Children
music when she came out and everybody stood up and
she just got emotional. She was probably nervous anyway. Okay,
So the new memoir that's coming next spring, she says
she's gonna be really honest, pulling the you know, curtain
back and showing you everything about her off screen life

(17:20):
and everything about the work and her you know, insecurities
and all that she is also ups and downs, the
humor and grief of life and living with and being
diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Will get it in March of
twenty twenty six. The title is You with the Sad Eyes.
And if that sounds familiar, the reason it took me

(17:41):
one minute to hear, like one second to figure it out.
It's the beginning of this song Like the same obviously
means something heard. The Cindy Lauper True Color Story memoir
coming soon from Christina Applegate coming up with Murphy Samon
Jodi how
