Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food dude.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Hey, you know tomorrow is pie Day?

Speaker 4 (00:10):
Yeah? Hu three point.

Speaker 5 (00:12):
Yeah three point one one four pie the mathematical You
know that the House Representative actually passed a resolution in
two thousand and nine calling at National Pie Day.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
No, that's why we hear about it with the pie.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
They did it for math and science reasons, not for it.
We do it for fhis for pizza reasons. But yeah,
pretty much most of the pizza places tomorrow, California Pizza Kitchen,
CC's Crust, Marco's, they all have a deal where you
buy one pizza or you spend so much money you
can get a second pizza for three dollars and fourteen cents.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Nice. That's cute.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
The only one different is Papa Murphy's. Theirs is you
get thirty one point four percent off your order thirty
one okay okay I And also to the places the
bakeries and stuff for some of those are going to
have check with your favorite bakery to see if they
have a pie deal. But like Burger King, you can
get that their Hershey, pie with a purchase of three
dollars and fourteen cents. Tomorrow they'll give you a slice

(01:06):
of the hershy pie Hue. Okay, now back to free
food today. Chipotle is doing a thing today, a promotion
where if you come in with a tattoo and you
show them your tattoo, it could be permanent, temporary, drawn
on with a sharpiet whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
It's a bogo deal. You buy one entree, you get
an entree free.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
And it's because of Fridday, the thirteenth.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
No, it's because of they dine this before. It's tatted
like a Chipotle bag. If you've ever seen a Chipotle live,
it looks like it's full of tattoos and scribbles. Okay,
it's a famous meme and so they big it around
and do this once a year.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Okay, so it just happened to Land today.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, okay, and be judicious about which tattoo that you show.
You Remember you are in public in clothing is an
important thing.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Well, I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
And by the way, they have one where you can
get up to five entrees. If you buy five, you
can get five free. I don't know if that means
like you have to show.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Five tats or how they maybe.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Free bottomless pancake right now at I Hop you buy
the breakfast entree through the end of the month, you
get a free bottomless pancakes. They bring them out two
at a time, so you know, don't care.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I mean, how many pancakes can you really eat them?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
If I tried, I could probably get Yeah, I mean
is a lot three? Maybe, especially if you've got syrup
on top of it.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
It's going to be hard for them marketing wise to
offer bottomless pancakes.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
And that There is other news beside free food. Jeff
has a new simply peanut butter. Oh you know the
simply is lower sugar. Yes, well this one is Jeff
simply creamy, unsweetened. It's got no additional sugar on it.
In fact, three ingredients, it says, peanuts, salt, and palm oil.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
Really that would be good to put in like protein
smoothies and things like that.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Actually that would be good not to buy.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Okay, coming up, it's six point fifty. Jod has three
things to know today, and next it is grateful Friday.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
Grateful Friday, you have the floor to celebrate anything you
are grateful for.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I didn't mean for it to rhyme.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
You didn't mean for it to rhyme, but to do
it every time.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Okay, Murphy, you're up.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I have got nothing, sorry man.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Okay, that's over saying the rhyming. Okay.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
So Marlissa sent this grateful for you guys, and also
grateful for an employer who celebrates tenure in our organization.
Looking at my gift of twenty for twenty five years
of service. And she sent us a picture of this
espresso maker that she got.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh wow, I would get excited about that.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
I've never worked at a place where gifts were given
will years ago, they used to give us jackets here,
remember that.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, well they were monogrammed and they had logo.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
I know you liked them.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I still have some of them.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
I do not now.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
I wonder what the espresso If you get to pick
your gift, or if it's just everybody gets the same.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
I don't know. Marla's'll let us know. But that's so cool.
That is cool.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Did she say if it's an is it an espresso
maker or an espresso?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
It's an espresso.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
It's an espresso with no espresso, because I love an
espresso too.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
You know what I'm saying that you can work it out.
We can get back this year s out of a jacket. Okay,
thank you, Marl Lissa.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
I watch ones too. Really.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I mean it was monogrammed on the back. That's right
to say thank you for your service. I know it's
a little generic, but you know, but you know that's
a good message.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
What do you wanted to say?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I thank you for your time?

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Okay, all right, moving on.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Diane said, love your show, thankful for all the info.
And I'm a type two diabetic and love the info
you do and discuss about diabetes. Well, thank you, Murphy
is our type one diabetes diabetic. Andy said, so grateful
for you for you three. I listen to you guys
every day on my short commute. You make my day.

(04:57):
And is Sam single? Andy say, would you like to
answer that for any.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
But he's not looking to mingle mingle, Hey, there's the rhyme.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
You were supposed to do the rhyme. But nice job.
Coming up next your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Trending now Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
This new show from Taylor Sheridan is debuting this weekend
on Paramount Plus. It's not in the Yellowstone world. It's
its own standalone story starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.
It is called The Madison.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
My Center, My Soul is Gone. You will, Okay, So
here's what I have to tell you.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
It's about a family, a New York family that moves
to Montana.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
To Montana that's different than Yellowstone.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
After a family tragedy.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
But Kurt, so you know understand Michelle feif forgot the
script and thought about it. She didn't just say oh yeah, yeah, me,
me me. Same for Kurt Russell. Apparently he took his time.
This is a major commitment for them. You don't have
to do this work. They have choices.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Does he have as mustache for this one? No?

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Witch, But the word is he It made him tear up,
he said, the story is incredible.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
It touched him on a personal level.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
But I'm there for anything he ever does, because I mean,
he's Kurt Russell.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Go ahead, skin it, skin that smoke wagon and see
what happens.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
First three episodes of The Madison's High Drama drops on Saturday,
and then the next three in a week.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
They coming up next. I have to unfortunately share how
Murphy's diet is causing issues for the food dude. Guys,
I take my responsibility as the food dude seriously to news.
You bring a lot of the great things every day,
always on the look out for the new stuff, so
I can tell you and your family so you can
look at the grocery store. Now, what people may not

(07:02):
understand is that I also I'm on the lookout for
some of these things to bring here for us to snack. Yes,
and I don't know if you've noticed, but in the
past month or two I have not been doing that.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I'm grateful because Murphy and I are watching.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
It and that's the reason.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
And out of respect, well, I didn't realize for you, Joe, Josie, Jody,
because a lot of times you won't take eat. But
out of respect for Murphy's diet, I have not been
bringing it in. In fact, this week I found those
lace flavor swap It's the ruffles that have the cool
ranch seasoning on them.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Oh yeah, were they great.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
I'm not going to tell you how good they They.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Were very good.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, it's okay.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
But the one that really hit me this week, because
I really want to share it, is the new Girl
Scout cookie.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Which one what is it called?

Speaker 3 (07:47):
They're called explore mors.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Okay, they are a chocolate cookie and it's supposed to
taste like a Rocky Road ice cream chocolate cookie with
almond and little marshmallow bits on the inside.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Well, it's the best, girls, Scott, could you have ever tasted?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Oh? Really?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Better than ten minutes. Well, yeah, you're a tin mint person.
I'm a peanut butter sandwich guy.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
I bought a box of peanut butter sandwiches and a
box of these things explore mores.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
They sound good, They're unbelievable. So you wouldn't have like
a roll.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Oh I would have brought a box in and said,
y'all got to try these. But it's like, now the
upside of that is that more for me at home?
But yeah, it's you know, out of respect for your diet.
I haven't been buying stuff in here because I don't
want it to and I know you've you've gotten to
the point where you're able to, like, I know better,
I'm not going to touch it. Yeah, but you don't
need it in front of you. You bringing in girls

(08:37):
Scout of cookies, or you're bringing in potato chips.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, well it's hard.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I appreciate that, but I don't mind supporting the girls.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
And if I find a box this weekend, if.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
You find a box and bring it in Murphy, you
just have one.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yeah, I mean, I can do one anything. I haven't
had a cookie since December to twenty sixth Actually I
haven't had a potato chips.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
We had one little square of box Levac and it
was delicious.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Oh that was but see but that was freshly made
in a restaurant. I've eaten some restaurant suites. I've eaten
nothing pre package.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
Yes, all right, coming up, Max, you three things to
know today?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
Number One, today is Friday the thirteenth. And if that
sounds familiar to you or like we just had it,
we did. We had one in February. Also, consecutive Friday
the thirteenths only happened about once every eleven years, so
it's not back to back again until twenty thirty seven, okay.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
And it's a highly.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
Superstitious day for those who are superstitious about the number thirteen.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Otherwise, you know, maybe it's your lucky day.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
Taylor Swift correct number two Amazon has just released a
new personality for you know what's her name. Oh it's
a new Spicy Mode. So not around the kids and
not at work. Oh No, swears like a sailor and
suppose answers every question like.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
It's roasting you.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
Really, For instance, if you ask about the weather and
it's warm, it might roast you about how much you're
gonna sweat today. It's spicy mode and number three not
making it up. The FBI is teaming up with the
UFC for what officials are calling a training seminar at Quantico.
So some of the biggest names in martial arts mixed

(10:25):
martial arts will be working directly with new FBI recruits
to sharpen their defensive skills and it gives them a
chance to learn from some of the greatest athletes on earth.
According to the FBI director.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
You're in the note three thanks to Know Today Jody's
top five entertainment stories of the week. Number five.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
The Academy Awards coming up on Sunday on ABC, hosted
by Conan O'Brien. Again, you watch it on ABC and
it will stream on Hulu. It's usually like three or
plus hours. Know that big presenters announced we know that
Nicole Kidman will be there, Jimmy Kimmel, Channing Tatum and
the big movies to look out for while Sinners is

(11:08):
one and then one battle after another. Number four Nicole
Kidman this week spoke about her divorce from Keith Urban. Now,
it's not like some big dish, Okay, I didn't think.
I don't think that's ever going to come the why.
I hope that never comes out. I hope so, I
hope so. But so she sat down and did this
full interview with Variety about her new show Scarpetta Hi Scarpetta,

(11:34):
which is streaming on Amazon Prime Now with Jamie Lee Curtis,
based on all those books. But she was asked one question,
how are you doing since the divorce? The response was,
I'm good because I'm always going to be moving toward
what's good. I'm staying in place with my family, meaning
she's staying in Nashville with her daughters who are suddenly adults.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Number three Britney Spears had an interesting week. As you know.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
Last week she was arrested for DUI and so what
little we've heard this week is that her mugshot will
remain private. I think that's good for her. Yes, I
don't know why those mugshots ever have to get out.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
It's public record.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
I suppose they say her arrest doesn't really meet the criteria,
you know, for a mugshot to be released, a person
being considered a threat to the public. The word is,
she's also saying she had one mimosa before getting behind
the wheel and her alcohol blood alcohol content was zero
point zero six percent, which is below the legal limit.
Number two, Janet Jackson and a bunch of the Jackson's,

(12:38):
like sixty of them attended a private screening of the
biopic Michael last Week under Your Past and when they
the lights went out, well, it was all sixty family
members something like that, and when the lights came back up,
apparently there was some infighting. The word is that Janet
has she didn't like any of it, and a lot
of the family was like, please, can you just get

(12:59):
on board that what we're hearing? And then remember the
wide release of this movie. Michael is April twenty fourth.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Number one.

Speaker 6 (13:07):
This big unbelievable story, Rihanna is okay after a woman
allegedly fired shots at her home over the weekend while
she was there with her three children.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
And we're talking an ar fifteen style gun.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
What is nuts about a time? It's all nuts but.

Speaker 6 (13:24):
That this woman has been arrested for attempted murder, charge
with attempted murder and assault.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Jody's top five entertainment stories of the week coming up next,
your morning pick me.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Up, Morning Picked me Up time.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
A lot of beautiful stories that happened this week that
maybe you did not hear about.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
This is the place for that. Okay, are you ready, guys?

Speaker 6 (13:48):
So there was this US veteran who passed away this week,
a US Navy veteran. His name was Lonnie Wyman, and
it was announced that he had no known family to
attend his funeral, but he was being laid to rest
with full military honors. And so the Tennessee Department of
Veterans Services put out the local I mean, you know,

(14:09):
an announcement, a public invitation, and more than two hundred
people showed up.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
That's beautiful.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Isn't that gorgeous? And local officials.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
And neighbors, even the Gallatin Police Department, So isn't that beautiful?
So everyone there was also touched because it was like, oh,
this is what we will we are willing to do
when asked for our military members.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Yes, lovely. Okay.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
There's another story that is also could be a cautionary tale.
I don't know, but did you hear about this lady?
This in South Philadelphia she saw Philadelphia Fresh Prince.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Sorry okay.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
She was noticing that one of her neighbors was about
to be ports pirated. The lady was about to steal
a package from her neighbors porch, and she walked up
to her and said, look, please don't do this. You're
better than this. Let me help you. She only had
seven dollars on her. She gave the woman seven dollars

(15:11):
and said, I.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Love you, God loves you. You're better than this. Don't
do this.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Wow, and she walked away.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
She walked away.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
I mean, I guess, and it's beautiful and it was
captured and all that, but it's kind of like, I
don't know if I would interfere with a porch pirate.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
You just never know enough to do it.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It could be because it could depending on you know,
the violent history or whatever. You don't know this person.
I guess it could be so, but it's wonderful that
she was trusting.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
Enough to just how do you know what to do
and that, and you know she made that decision instantly.
You see that happening, you either witness it, you film it,
you back away, or you do what she did, which
was brave and beautiful.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
We wanted to share it with you.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
That's your morning, picked me up. Coming up next, Jody
has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
The latest buzz Jody's Hollyoo Outsider.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Good news for families who love Bluey Blue's big play,
the stage show will land on Disney Plus on Monday,
with live performances of the characters through puppetry. Oh isn't
that cool. It's an original story, I know. And they're
also going to debut coming up in May, and will

(16:21):
remind you ten short Bluey minisodes.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
That's to keep the kids, since the kids probably won't
pay attention for too long.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Right, none of us can pay attention for too What's
so funny is we think that's new our attention spans shrinking,
and they are. However, for children, that's always been the case.
Think about Sesame Street back in the day small segments.
You never spent an hour with Cookie Monster, you spent
two minutes, right, So anyway, that's gonna be and those
those episodes, those minisodes will be Bluey and Bingo doing

(16:53):
what they do together.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
That's in May.

Speaker 6 (16:54):
Will remind you some other news for families. K Pop
Demon Hunters officially gets the green light for its sequel,
Let's Get Battle Ready, same producer, same Korean filmmaker, exactly.
It's it was the most viewed Netflix movie of all time.
And know this, it's favored to win Best Animated Feature

(17:17):
this weekend at the Academy Awards.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
The original movie.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Coming out next We're gonna find out why Murphy forgot
that he invited a bunch of people over this weekend.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Murphy, you know, we have people coming over to the
house this weekend. And last night when we were sitting
there eating dinner together casual like in the living room
with our bowls and our laps, eating and talking, I
mentioned that to you that they're coming Sunday, and you
were like, oh.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah, we can kind of snuck up on me. It's
my family. Actually we've not we didn't get to get
together over Christmas, and so it's been a couple of months.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
We were getting the baby.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
No we've not seen the baby.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Yeah, getting to.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
See that baby boy, his name is Sawyer and I
haven't gotten my hands on him yet. I haven't kissed
his smell him yet.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Are you all exchanging Christmas gifts?

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Who?

Speaker 1 (18:02):
No, No, it's it's just to get together. But he
you know, he's six months old now, Jodie. I mean,
it's thriving, I.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
Know, and we could have probably pushed that and made
it happen, but we just didn't.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
There was so much going on.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
But so we are having them over on Sunday, and
so I just wanted it was funny because whenever I
said that to you last night, I could tell you
were like, oh, that's right, we do have that, and
I thought, this is your thing. But here's what I
decided to do. Sunday afternoon. We'll have coffee, We'll have
like lemon water. Okay, but since it's a Sunday afternoon,
it's not dinner, it's not lunch. I'm just going to

(18:42):
have a couple of little I'm not going to go
I'm not gonna go board, not going to go overboard,
which I normally go over sarcuity board, you know. But
there will be a couple of little trays. One will
be fruit, a lot of different kinds of fruit, and
then one will be like little pastry and things like that.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
And that's it. In two separate spots. I'm gonna put
them put them out.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
To sort of encourage moving around the room, because wherever
you put the food is, that's where people.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Will come most.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Everybody hangs in the kitchen area. That's the way that
it works. The So no.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
Meat, no no cheese, two o'clock, do you meat at two?

Speaker 1 (19:23):
I can eat every time.

Speaker 6 (19:28):
It's a Sunday afternoon light. And plus your family is
not gonna devour it all. We always have leftovers.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Well, it's my favorite. When we agreed to do you
know this get together and you know you were you
were the one who graciously agreed to host and help
with it. I'm going to trust your judgment forgot. I
will take your lead on it. Coming up next, Jody
has three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
Number one, how in the world do you avoid airport
k right now during this partial government shutdown? Well, the
big no duah is get to the airport earlier than usual,
which is no fun. But the other things you may
not know about is that you can monitor the security
wait times on the TSA app.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
It's my TSA.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
I know that.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Yep, my TSA. There's another thing you.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
Need to know about is if you do show up,
get there early, do all the things right, and your
flight gets canceled or or you miss it because of
the TSA, there's a Department of Transportation website that outlines
your rights for you.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Number two, the Better Business Bureau gave an F rating
to thirty eight BUCkies stores across the country. And yes,
they do give ratings based on how you handle as
a business complaints because apparently the beaver is so busy
with the barbecue that they've not responded to like eighty
eight messages left about BUCkies.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
I mean, he'll complain about Buddies. As a business. You
do have to respond though, all right.

Speaker 6 (21:02):
And number three Tomorrow is Pie Day March the fourteenth,
also Pie Day because of the never ending mathematical equation
Conde three point one four. But for most of us
it means Hey discounts on pizzas and pies all weekend.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
You're up to date. Three things to know today.

Speaker 6 (21:23):
Join us anytime eight seven seven three one zero four.
MSJ Monica sent an email where she said I heard
the other day that your cousin Candace. Candace will be
nervous about trying to find her son in the crowd
of marines. Monica, that's true. It happened, though he James
has graduated from the Marine Corps in his home for now,

(21:44):
I do have an update on James, but this email
says this happened to me. My husband was in C
school in the Navy. When they came out of the
building from graduation. Of course, they all were in the
same uniform. I made the mistake of running up to
the wrong sailor and hugging the wrong man, my husband.
I think that's kind of funny. My husband, of course,

(22:04):
thought it was hilarious. I did not, so I refuse
to pick him out of a crowd. Ever. Again, fast
forward to a couple of years later, our son was three,
our daughter probably two, and my husband had come home
from c and my children would be the ones to
find him in the crowd. It was like they were
two bloodhounds and they found him every single time, so
I would.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Just follow them. That is beautiful, Monica.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Well, I'm sure the stranger appreciated the hug.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, I know. Any woman running to you giving you
a hug, right? Is that lovely?

Speaker 6 (22:37):
So thank you for that, Monica. My cousin Candace will
probably join us on another podcast soon, or maybe even James.
But I will say I got this message from Candace
this week about James. James got his official MOS. I
don't know what that means, but I attached the info.
He's back in California now for MCT Marine Combat training

(22:59):
for twenty five days. So he's back in training. It's
just not the same. It's marine combat training.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
Then from there he will go to California or Florida
Fort job training. So combat training is what he's doing.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
So no idea what job he's got yet they're going
to finish the combat part.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
I mean, look, there's a whole detailed document that she said,
but I don't.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Think that I should share that here. Okay, US Military.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
By the way, I looked it up at Moss Military
Occupational Specialty. Oh whatever, his specialty is going.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
To be right.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
And what's funny is that Taylor and Phoebe, our daughters,
spent some time with him recently. With James, they went
to see him while he was home, and when I
heard that he was doing Marine combat training. I thought,
oh my gosh, there here he goes again. And Taylor
and Phoebe told me. He said, it's not as hard
as what he already went through with the Crucible and
all of that.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
So he's like, okay, combat training.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Bring it coming up. Jody has another Hollywood outsider. Next,
Sam has Music News.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
Let's know why Nick Jonas and Billie Eilish are putting
their music careers on hold for a bit.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Sam Scott Music News.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
A couple artists are heading to the big screen. First up,
we got Billie Eilish. She is in talks to star
in the film adaptation of Sylvia Platt's The Bell Jar.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
Oh. That is a dark story about someone just falling
into plunging into mental illness.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Yeah, I don't know if Billy is going to be
the main character in this one or not.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Okay, so maybe she won't be that person, you know.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
And so you know, she's already got a couple of
Oscars musical oscars, this one for No Time to Die,
the song for James Bond, and also also for the
Barbie movie.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
What Was I Made For?

Speaker 4 (24:42):
She did such a good job performing that.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Now onto mister Nick Jonas, He's in a movie that
comes out in June called power Ballad. Nick Jonas is
a pop star. Paul Rudd is in the movie as
a washed up wedding singer who likes to and you know,
writing songs. And they get together and Paul Rudd shares
some lyrics that he wrote and it's like, yeah, okay, bye,

(25:07):
they go their separate ways. All of a sudden, Nick
Jonas has a hit with a song that he stole
the lyrics from Paul Rudd.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
From Okay funny, so it sounds funny.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yeah, it might be funny. You know.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
When it comes to Vegas residencies, most of the acts
they do wind up adding dates after the initial run,
like we at least sold out, let's add more. Metallica
did that last week. They ordered they had. They started
with eight dates at the Sphere and they've added sixteen more.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Yeah, they did what everybody wants to see that.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
The band now says, we got twenty four amazing nights.
We are not adding any additional shows. Good for them,
first one I've ever heard it says, no, we're done.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
That's good. That's all we're going to do.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
And that's who they are, you know, they know what
they're They're not lying to you either. If they said
they're not doing anymore, they're not.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
And Jody, you might be nice happy to hear this
one that we have a new Ozzy Osbourne in the world.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
What do you mean.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Ozzy and Sharon's son Jack Osbourne.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Yes, he and his wife just had a baby and
so baby daughter they named her Ozzy Matilda Osborne.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Ah wow, Live on That's cool.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Best ever.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Trending Now, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
How about a little bit more for you about what's
going on Sunday in Hollywood for the Academy Awards. You know,
it's going to be hosted by Conan O'Brien for the
second year in a row, live from the Dolby Theater.
Big presenters, big names we've already mentioned, some like Robert
Downey Junior will be there, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman, Pedro, Pascal,
Demi Moore, everybody okay, And then they're.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Going to bring out a surprise presenter at the end,
like I love.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
I always said maybe Tom Cruise will see Oh yeah.
The other thing to know is beyond the usual awards
and speeches. Producers have let us know there's a Marvel
reunion happening. That's all we know. There's a Bridesmaid's reunion,
some sort of extra terrestrial appearance. So I don't know
if that has to do with your upcoming Martian movie, Sam, but.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Or the Spielberg movie disclosure.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Oh there you go.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
Yeah, you're right, they love the Academy loves Spielberg. But
here's the other thing. The in memoriam segment has been
expanded this year. It's going to be different than just
one little segment. We lost Rob Reiner in Hollywood this
year and Robert Redford, so they're going to have some
All we know is an extended, sort of more heartfelt

(27:28):
in memoriam segment.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
In that case, maybe.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
They'll get everybody in and we won't hear any backlash after.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Maybe, So I would like that.

Speaker 6 (27:35):
Remember that the Movie Center's leads with a record breaking
sixteen nominations.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Mean ways, I ain't even know as possible.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
One battle after another, also getting thirteen nods. Digging into
Facebook Messenger and Megan sent this, Hi, Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Megan love the show.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
We listen every day on our way to work in school,
heard you talking about Kat's climb up in trees and
getting stuck. That was the morning picked me up. The
guy with the tree rescue service. He's rescued one hundred
and fifty cats.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yeah, he already does tree service work, and so he's
added to it rescuing cat.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
She says, we live by a landfill and unfortunately many
cats are dumped there. We now have really, yeah, we
now have four outside cats who happily have adopted us
as their family. One is one's name is mit Mini,
and she's the person the personality of the group. She
climbs up all the trees surrounding our house and many
times to look out the window and she is perched

(28:33):
in one of the trees watching the birds. We call
her our security cat because she uses the tree closest
to our house to climb on the roof. It's so
funny to be outside and hear a random meow coming
from somewhere above you and look up and Mannie is
just hanging out.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
That's cool. But she can get down if she needs
to because she can.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
Yeah, she uses the tree or are pergola? Did I
say that right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (28:57):
In the back to get down. So yes, they do
find a way down somehow when they are stuck. So
she's never had to try, you know, call a tree
service to get a cat down.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
The funniest And by the way, thanks for always being
to pick me up in the mornings. Love starting the
day with you. That's from Megan. My favorite thing. And
if you just want an escape and you're sitting with
your device on your lap, look it up, look up
cat rescues. I think it's hysterical couple of things at play.
Usually the cat is not scared. The cat's just hanging

(29:29):
out like what do you want?

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Like the owners on that the owners on the ground like,
oh I'm up, poor baby. And then you know the
cat's just looking at birds, wagging the tail, but.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
Stuck days sometimes for days. And then the three person
the rescuer will grab the cat. You got to be
gentle that you can't sneak up on it.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
No, sneak it up on.

Speaker 6 (29:51):
A cat and put it in a bag like a
bucket bag and just pull the string and the zipper
clothes because you have to have that plan in place
or you will lose that cat on the way down.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
It's just funny to watch.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
By the way I beg to differ. You can sneak
up on a cat. Oh okay, so I've done it
to a boom many times
