Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Samscott Music Music got us a new music festival coming
at the end of summer. It's called Daisy Chain Fields.
It's going to be in Irvine, California, put together by
Olivia Rodrigo. Here's what's going to make it special. It's
all women, all women performers. I believe you've her some
of these folks like Chapel Roan's going to be there.
(00:27):
It's right, Garbage Doughchi's going to be there. Sarah McLaughlin
will be there, fair Era sounds like it, and uh
Stevie Nicks she's going to be there as well.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
It says she's a special guest, but I don't know
if that means she's just gonna come out on stage
or she can perform, But we'll have to see. If
you're interested in tickets, Daisy Chain Fields is the website,
so look for it there and you can pre order
your tickets. Nice Adele, you know that she said that
she was done with music for a while, taking a
break after she finished a Vegas residency at the end
of twenty twenty four. But the Colisseum, Yeah, she is
(01:03):
back in the studio now, same studio, same producer she's
working with that did Skyfall.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Dis Guy the James Bond theme.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah. So now reportedly she's flying back and forth from
LA where she lives, to the UK to the studio
for like two weeks at a time, goes in the studio,
does some stuff, comes out, goes home, comes back and
does it again, same play. In addition to doing Skyfall there,
that's also where she did the album twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Okay, wow, I'm just glad.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
I mean, while she wants to and can sing, she's
a record she just does. Everyone's voice changes because life,
not just because you're a singer. Everyone's voice changes, and
her voice is golden and it will it will change
in time.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
And if you're wondering why Team USA is playing the
John Denver song take Me Home Country Roads after every.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Win, I mean I am kind of wondering. So let's
hear it.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Each of the teams in the World Cup we're supposed
to submit songs to the internet. The FIFA yes, like, hey,
if we win, these are the songs we want to
choose from. And so then FIFA decides who gets to
play what. Like America we did submit take Me Home,
Country Roads. But we also sent in sweet Caroline. Yeah,
(02:19):
but the English were already using Sweet Caroline, so we
couldn't use it. We also sent in I hate to
tell you this, Jody, but bon Jovi.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
We're playing John Denver instead of this.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Oh, come on, it's a good sing along song. So
is this? So? Why did FIFA choose that? The person
the person that chose it used to be with the
American group that she decided that John Denver was the
way to go over bon Jovi.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Coming up at six fifty, Jodi has three things to
know today.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Coming up NeXT's going to hear from you about the
best gift ever.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I don't know if you guys saw that.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
I shared a little video of my mom warmy kitty
that I bought for her while she was in the hospital. Now,
it's a real thing called a warmie. I'd seen them before,
you know, in retail shops or whatever. I'd never purchased one.
It's like a stuffed animal, and they have so many
different They have a sloth, they have an alligator. I mean,
(03:19):
they've got them all sizes. I bought her just a
regular mid size cat because she likes cat, which.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Actually looks like a dog at a distance.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
No.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I mean you could tell an alligator when you look
at them at this thing, it's like, is it a dog?
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Is it a cat? They have a dog one? Oh yeah,
does it look like a cat?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
No. Anyway, while she was in the hospital, in a
certain unit on the floor there, you could not bring
food in, which is why Murphy snuck me a sandwich.
And you couldn't bring you couldn't have flowers, you know.
And so I was down in the gift shop one
day wanting to just bring our little something something, you know,
and I saw it and I'm like, duh, and I
(03:56):
remember buying it. Have you ever had that purchase where
you're like, I don't know if this is going to
be discarded in a closet somewhere, but I did it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Anyway.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Well, I want you to know every I visit her
every evening now, you know, and you know, whatever, help
her get her bath. Right now, she's home recovering, and
before I leave, she's asked me to heat up her warmy.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yes, and she likes it.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
And it's so sweet because she kind of holds it
like a little baby. And it really does feel warm
now her cat has is hip to it, and that
her cat comes and snuggles next to it too because
he wants the warmness.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Too, thinks it's another cat.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
It smells really nice too. It's got like a lavender.
It's weighted. The inside is like beaded.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I know that she was concerned about her cats jumping
on her while she was recovering, so I guess now
it's okay.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
So well, it's not really okay.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
They haven't jumped on her uh abdominal area, and she
keeps a pillow there anyway.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
So well, that's really sweet. Is he gravitating towards its
warmth or is he jealous of the dog?
Speaker 4 (04:58):
It's a catt, I'mberly said on our Facebook page. Those
are amazing and so very comforting. Another use that's awesome
is they work wonders with baby kittens and puppies in
new homes if they're taken from their mom early on
in life. Kimberly, thank you for sharing that and keep
it coming. We love having you long.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Tom Hanks says he would be okay with Woody's voice
from Toy Story one, two, three, four, and five Living
On in the world of a I with one condition.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
I don't know, Jesse. Toys are for play, but Tech
is for everything.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Tech is for everything that was Like, that's like the
whole moral of the story there, apparently for Toy Story five,
is that children still need toys even though Tech is
here to stay.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
They don't really need an AI voice though, I'm sure
they have somebody that does the voice, Like for all
the toys. You think Tom Hanks is doing the voice
for all the time.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I don't know, but there is no other Tom Hanks.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Well, I know, but they sure they have somebody that
can do.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
He says he's okay with it continuing because he understands
that the potential is there, but he stresses there's no
point in doing any future installments unless there is a
meaningful story.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
So basically he's saying, use his voice in the future
if you need Woody, but if it's not a good story,
don't bother.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Guess for somebody like him.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Means linsing his voice for it.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
He loves the idea of his legacy living on for
his voice. Agreed, he has he would have no control over.
That's a stupid story. Well, don't do it just to
do it, is what he's saying. That old adage that
always comes in when we talk about AI. Just because
you can do it doesn't mean you should.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Maybe they can let the AI decided.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
No.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Coming up next is going to tell you about somebody
who stole a garbage can from work. When you work
somewhere and that it's not home, you pick up things.
I'm not talking about stealing things from the office, but
I do happen to have taken a garbage can from
here and it's in my car, and it's been in
(07:10):
my car for like two.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Weeks, accidentally or on purpose.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I understand pins Well, I guess that would be accidental.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I know why a garbage I'm just saying I didn't
mean to steal the garbage can.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
I meant to return it.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
But okay, So I was here like on a Saturday,
and I was cleaning out.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
We're processing sensitive documents.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
You know.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
I bring the big drink tumblers all the time, and
then sometimes I leave without them and then I end
up with three and four drink tumblers on my desk
or in the sink.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of our personal dishes in
the sink gear.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
We live at work practically.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
So yeah, So I was here on a Saturday on
a weekend, and I had like three tumblers, two bowls,
plastic containers because I eat breakfast and lunch here too.
So a lot of living happened where we work. And
I'm like, how am I going to get all this home?
Speaker 3 (08:04):
I couldn't. I'm like, I couldn't handle it all. I
have a cute little purse. I'm not putting it in.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Could have got your garbage bag and put them in there,
like Santa Claus.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
I didn't see a garbage bag that was thick enough
to handle. So on the other side of the floor
where no one sits, there was a garbage can with
a bag and it one of those thin little bags
in it, and so I just put all my stuff
in there. It's never been used before, and I brought
it out to my car and I stuck it in
the back seat, and that night I took all the
(08:32):
dishes out and washed them at home. And I've been
driving around with that garbage can behind, like behind my
driver's seat for weeks.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I don't know how many people here have looked and said,
where's the garbage? Can?
Speaker 4 (08:44):
I think no one. I think no one missed it.
You never done anything like that. I had to do
it. It was necessity.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I mean no, I mean, you're you are pretty entrepreneurial
when it comes to that sort of thing.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Now I'm going to bring it back up.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
You're an opportunitist, so I understand you would do that,
but no, and the honestly, I mean, I tend to
use you know, the plastic forks that they've got here
and all.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
That kind of us you're supposed to use those. They're
in the kitchen in a box of a five hundred.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
I know. It makes it, It makes it a little
bit easier done. You know, I always know when dishes
are here. I can either visually see them here in
the sink at work, or we get to the house
and I can eat anything I want as long as
I can eat it with a fork, as all the spoons.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Are up here.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Three things to know today.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Number One, the FBI warning soccer fans of these FIFA
World Cup scams, these fraudulent websites impersonating FIFA. As the
World Cup continues, They've had some complaints with people saying
the tickets that they bought on stub hub were never
really given to them. Well, the thing was, you didn't
really buy them on stub hub. It's like you need
to verify the website because they're doing something called typo
(09:51):
squatting where they register domains. They have domains that look
so close so it looks like a legitimate address. Make
sure that you type in the address, you know, the
FIFA official website instead of just searching it. Number two
day drinking is on the rise, but it's a healthier
day drinking trend among young adults, starting earlier and winding
(10:13):
down sooner. They're calling it having a day cap instead
of going out late nighttime bar crawls. You're just basically
having a cocktail or a glass of wine or something
after work. It's all about not overdoing it and heading
home earlier. And it's just a healthier approach to having
a little cocktail once in a while. And number three
(10:34):
Starbucks releasing a new pink Barysta cup and fans are
already going crazy for it. It's pink drink inspiration. It's
the bear strawberry. Details and all limit to per customer
online and in stores. You know, get early access to
it July ninth if you're a Rewards member, and then
in stores on the thirteenth. Expect them to be gone quickly.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
You're in the note three Things to Know Today Social Media.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Connect Jody, Jody, Jody, Jody, Jody. These comments are for
you this morning, my socials. You actually had mentioned about
anxiety and it kind of comes out of nowhere? Was
that in her after the Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That we did that.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah, we did a whole We didn't just mention it.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Yeah, we did a soul bearing after the show podcast
about my anxiety.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
I just couldn't remember if it was here in the
show or in the podcast.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
So I came about because of your mom in the hospital,
and well, even after she's home now, you're still feeling it.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
While while she was in the hospital, I felt like
I was really ramped up, and I remember having days
where anxiety.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
But it's been since then.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
She's home now and she's doing really well, and I
can't believe that when it comes, I can't believe it.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
You know, I'm trying to learn to deal with it.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Well, you suggested the three three three thing in the podcast,
which is touched three things here, three things smell three
I don't know, something like that.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Yeah, I'm so glad you're in it with me.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
I'm totally in it with you.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
I just it was a method to managing anxiety.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Grounding yourself in the press.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Three things you can see.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Three things you can hear, Yeah, like a podcast or
a bird chirping or somebody speaking or in. Three things
you can move like, roll your shoulders, wiggle your fingers.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Just a way to put.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yourself in the present and not let anxiety in the
what if scenarios take you over.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Well, Clint posted here. I know this may sound out
of the norm, but what helps my anxiety stress is
a nice walk on a trail in the woods by myself,
and sometimes I even try to find an open area
in the woods, put a blanket down, laid down on
it for a bit and just listen to nature and
what surrounds me. I hope you overcome this. Best wishes,
Thank you, Clint.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
I think I will overcome this. I think this is temporary.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Although anxiety is a part of life for everyone, at times,
I've not been getting my typical nature walks that I
used to do every night, just because life is busy
right now, work and life and visiting my mom every day, trying.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
To help take care of her. So yeah, thank you, Cleant.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I have one here from Jackie. She says, I've had
anxiety and panic attacks since my daddy passed away thirty
three years ago. Oh, they are awful. But I came
across a book Free from Fears, and it's a game changer.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Free from Fears.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, I can't remember the author, but I can tell
you it definitely helped me. I still have them, but
they're fewer and far further between. I'll be sending up
prayers for you.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
Thank you, Jackie, and thanks to everybody who has commented
on that. And you can always go back and listen
to you after the show podcast.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Apparently Murphy needs to know it's okay anyway. Anywhere you
get your podcast, just search Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Coming up next to your morning pick me.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Up, Morning pick me up time.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
This is a couple renewing their vowels story and maybe
you saw the headline that they've been it's a sixty
year it's they've been married sixty years. So they wanted
to celebrate that anniversary in a big way now they're
both eighty one years old, and they both love to
go to Taco Bell. In fact, they go almost every
day and eat Wow. Real well, yes, that's.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
The secret to a sixty year marriage, right there.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
I mean, I will.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Say that I looked into it a little bit, and
the word is his name is Mickey, her name is Joanne,
and they've eaten lunch every day for years there, twelve
years at least.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
You know, they just discovered it.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Oh okay, so this hasn't been for six since the
wedding day.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Okay, I don't think it was around sixty years ago.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I was pretty impressed for a minute, No kidding. We're
disappointing that he only discovered Taco Bell twelve years.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
They only decided to eat there every day for lunch.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Okay, since twenty fourteen.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
That's a long time. We eat lunch once a week
together and we bury it up.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Murph, Yeah, we do, right, it's been more than.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Twelve years though. Anyway.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
The word is he always orders Taco Supremes, but she
varies a bad choice.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Taco Supreme is a good choice.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
She varies up.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Her one on the old Crispy Taco is the one
that Taco Light Supreme was my favorite. But go ahead, Joding,
I'm sure you think.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
It was really light. I didn't remember that manual.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Called it light because it was a flaky, crispy show.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Anyway, they've eaten at that location every day for twelve years,
and so they decided to renew their vows there, and
the district manager was the officiant for the ceremony.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Family and friends looked on.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
How does he did he have a license to.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
I guess he must have had a license or got
a license.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
I mean he's a captain.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Well, you can get ordained online, you know.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
I forgot about that.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
Why did you get ordained?
Speaker 2 (15:32):
I don't know, because it was there. I think I
was going to start doing weddings really yeah, but you know,
after you I know how they work now.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
I thought about doing that too, but seriously, yeah, then
it's like it was free.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
So okay, somebody getting married once.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
I love though that, you know, sixty years What a
fun way to do it. It's fun and sweet because
they're renewing their vowels, which I'm sure they probably wrote
to each other or did they say anything about that?
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Yeah? Apparently he noted our love has been strong enough
to survive every twist and not just the cinnamon twists.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Now that's cute.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
It is cute.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
I hope she thinks it's cute coming up next to
your Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Trending now Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
So Netflix is leaning into the horror game. There are
a lot of big, you know, horror movies right now.
They're doing really well, including Obsession than an Entire World
right in smack Dab in the middle of summer. This
one's taking on the big boys and doing well. So
horror is having a moment again with back rooms and
(16:40):
what last year's Sinners winning an Academy Award. So Netflix says,
you know what, We're going to lean into the horror genre,
and we're also gaming. They've enlisted actress Zoe Kravitz and
Sadie sinc I know you remember her from Stranger Things
for an interactive horror game called Unhinged. They're gonna voice
(17:00):
characters that you play in the game. It takes place
in under an hour, so you can do this, like
you know, quickly, and even if you're new to gaming,
you'll want to play this. The plot is the game
focuses on decisions that you have to make as a
home invasion is taking place. It's called Unhinged, some big
names attached and it's coming soon.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
I also have an.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Update on the Madonna biopick story from yesterday, where we
hear that it fell apart with the movie studio and
she's like, fine, don't make my biopick.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
I've got music to make.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
The word is she still is going to make it,
but now it apparently is still going forward as a
Netflix series with actress Julia Garner, and we're happy about that.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Coming up next, Let's keep the Wild Wednesday, and we
want to hear from you at eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Keep the Wild Wednesday. Keep the Wow is a motto.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
I just want you to keep your wows so that
your positive self talk is what's talking to you and
not oh I was today's not going to be good
or I didn't I'm not good at this.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
It needs to be I did this.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
It's about creating your own little brag file for when
you need brag file.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
When you need it's a tough day, you go back
to the thing you did well.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Sometimes you have a big while and you just tell
yourself to keep that forever, remember that when you need
to call on it. Laurie sent us this to Facebook
and Instagram messenger. Wanted to share my wow for today
I spent this is LORI. I spent three hours and
a long conversation.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
With AI.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Okay, but was able to rescue my daughter's laptop and
save myself a whole bunch of money.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
By doing so.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
It's a huge win because I despise solving tech essue issues,
but was able to do that when her college IT
department couldn't yay me and my wallet.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
I know, LORI keep that while forever. You did that.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
And that's a perfect example of a good use of
A because I mean, it can do that. It's it's
so advanced. It can solve problems for you for things
that you if it's not your area of expertise, you
can still ask the right questions. That's the secret to
make an AI on.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
It's funny because you say that, and I saw this
thing this week that most of us eighty five percent
of us, so you're in the lower percentage, Murphy, that
we don't really believe that the AI answers are to
be trusted right off the baseball bat there there.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
You should be. You should be skeptical, I mean of anything.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
But part of that is.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Part of that is because if you're not doing a subscription,
you're not getting as much access.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
So a subscription is part of it.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
And then there are three different models that you can
choose from, typically on all of them. Yeah, and you
have it has to think deep and you have to
give it very specific parameters to work with.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Then.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, so if you're.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Doing the non paid version, it's the dumber AI.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I mean, it's basically what you're getting for free is
not going to be the best thing you're pay for.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
Yeah, exactly, especially even with AI. Yeah, well, proud for you, Laurie.
Look the few times in my life when I have
solved a technical problem without mister tech whiz's help over here,
and I do mean you, Murphy.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Which I'm pretty proud of myself.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
It's a while, so keep it coming, jump in anytime, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube,
or TikTok.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Jody's got three things to Know Today coming up next.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Here's three things to know today.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Number one, if someone in your life or family is
getting married and you were expected to pay for all
or a lot of it.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Maybe have a little sit.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Down with them because one of the biggest trends for
couples engaged right now. They're not wanting the thirty thousand
dollars wedding necessarily. A lot of couples say they would
exchange that. Have just a little party instead of a reception,
and use money any money that the family could give
with a house down payment or help pay off debt,
or take a trip. So and also destination elopements are hot.
(20:59):
A lot of wiggle ram.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
You've got in mind.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Number two, Bed Bathing Beyond, this is exciting. We'll still
honor those decades old coupons, the blue ones. They're doing
it now. It's a promotion. They've launched it. A twenty
one day legendary coupon hunt is what it's called. Somebody's
going to get a one hundred thousand dollars homemakeover whoever
whoever has the oldest surviving, you know, coupon coupon. And
(21:24):
then there are other prizes like five hundred dollars shopping
spreeze because you know they've merged Bed Bath and Beyond
with the Container Store for locations across the country. And
number three This is just a rumor, but it's that
Taylor Swift's dad has helped draft a prenup. Let's hope
these two have a prenup. Apparently he drafted it. They
signed off no qualms at all. He's protecting her two
(21:45):
billion dollar fortune in Travis's ninety million dollar nest egg.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
You're up to date. Three things to know today.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
We've had such a beautiful and overwhelming response on our
social media pages about Champ, our thirteen year old rescue dog,
my boyfriend dog and the dreamiest dog we've ever had,
and not saying a lot murph about you know what
we posted and have shared here that he is in
decline and along with our vet, we have decided to
make him super comfortable whether he lives three more months
(22:18):
or three more years. And we had shared that because
he did have a medical emergency.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Yeah, I mean it was an episode. It was one
of those where we've had enough dogs, We're thinking this
is this might be it. Yeah, And somehow, and maybe
it's because of all the comments and the well wishes,
but I mean, he's back is he literally is back
to what he was now he's still old and he's
still sleeping a lot, but he his personality is back again.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
He's not trying to get me to take him on
walks anymore.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's the only big difference.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, But we started spoiling him, as was our plan
with the vet.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
So the boy is eating peanut butter at night.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Last the other night, he had three of my five
chicken nuggets from my kid's meal.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
He guess what, he won't eat anymore.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
No food, dog free food.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
So we put at the ball and he's like, he's
looking up and look, I used to eat this.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Yeah, don't you remember. I'm not feeling well.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Yeah right, It's just it's lovely and funny.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
So we decided last night I really do mean thank
you because everybody's checking on Champ.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Someone sent in that he's America's dog. He's all of
our dogs, really is.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
That's sweet. He's the most humanlike dog we've ever had.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
He so is, and so he's liking all this.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
I don't know if he's back because of the peanut
butter and the chicken nuggets and all the spoiling and
all the extra you're the best boy in the world talks.
But so we decided last night that we're going to
We're going to switch his food. We're going to upgrade
his food. We're not going to continue to feed him
fast food.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Jody wants to experiment with something that we've not done before.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Yeah, the fresh food. The fresh fresh dog food that.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Looks like a big sausage.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
You just slice off a honk of it, throw all
chubs of ground meat there.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Yeah, so he and Sparky are going to switch to
that because Sparky's not young either. You know, Sparky just
thinks he's young. Sparky's like twelve years old.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Come on, you don't want to have fun and just
feed it to him and make Sparky mad.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
No.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
In fact, Sparky's been getting nuggets and peanut butter too.
Oh but I just want to thank everybody for the love.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Cassandra sent this.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
My childhood dog was leaving us, and I remember my
mom making him rice and chicken or hamburger for his meals.
We definitely spoiled him in his last days, Steven said,
we did the same for our docs and back in
twenty thirteen, in his last days, we gave him ice
cream and eminem's all that he wanted.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Ooh.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
Anyway, so we're gonna slow our roll into candy. They
were going to the raw dog food to day coming up.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Jody has another Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
On the subject of anxiety. We all feel it at times,
and of course we did this whole after the Show
podcast the other day about some anxiety that's been really
hitting me lately and taking over and I can't believe
and we shared.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
It mostly because of your mom's surgery and you know,
managing through that.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
But she's home now and she's I don't know.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
That's why I couldn't understand, Like why now I do
want to say that I'm better this week it's midweek now,
but earlier this week I couldn't believe that it was
still happening, physically happening. Angels sent this comment, I have
to share, Jody, I struggle with anxiety, and for what
I know to be true is that while you were
in the hospital with your mom, you had her physically
(25:21):
in front of you and all of your attention was
on her. Now that she is home and you aren't
there to see her and watch her, your mind is
now releasing the anxiety that you probably had but at
the time were too focused on her to let it
have control. You said on the show that now that
she is home, this anxiety is hitting you. And that's
the worst part because it comes sometimes when things are
(25:44):
going good and you can't understand why. That's been my
own experience. It's after I have taken care of or
dealt with a stressful situation and you think you're over it,
but your brain is still focusing on it without you
even realizing it, sending you positive energy.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
That's beautiful, Thank you, angel.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I love it. It's a really good thought too.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
It feels like that like maybe my body didn't release
all of that right away and it's still there.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
It's almost like things like that get shoved to the
back when you're actually dealing with the situation, and then
the aftershock is what kind of right where it all
comes to fruition.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
You carry everything, right, is it getting I mean you
said it's better today, so you can notice it.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
It's having a good day today. Yeah, I'm aware.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Honestly, talking about it kind of helped me release it.
I wasn't going to just carry around that this was
happening to me without sharing it, you know.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I told Murphy about it. I'm anxious.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
So we had a cathartic after the show podcast.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Yeah, so if you are feeling it and you can't
figure out why, have a safe place, a safe space,
somebody to talk to about it, but then do the
other things. And earlier we had a recommendation. Jackie sent
a recommendation about a book. It's called Free From Fears.
I looked it up. It's two different authors, the New
Help for anxiety, panic and agoraphobia.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Oh so that's what that book is called.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
That what was about And it's it's an older book,
but she said it helped to our a lot, so
I wanted to get that out there for you.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider, the Latest
Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
I haven't seen Toy Story five yet, but apparently Keanu
Reeves was back as Duke Kaboomaboom.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Canada's greatest stuff.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
That's yo, how fat, fantastic he is and everything he does.
So guess what the word is that Keanu Reeves is
reuniting with the director of Toy Story four, who first
brought him in for Duke Kaboom, to bring us a
lego live action movie. It's in development and he's the lead.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
It's not John Wick.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Is it no? This is like that would be awesome.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
This is a blending of live action and meaning you'll
see him, he's there, but he's in this CGI world.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Gotcha.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
I think one of the most successful would be the
most recent, like Leelo and Stitch, where it's live action,
But then Stitch was so okay. We don't know what
we don't know there's plot details or under wraps, but
it's a lego movie starring Keanu Reeves. We're excited about it,
and aren't you wishing for something else? Is it Constant?
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Still waiting for Constantine? Too?
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Waiting for anything from Keanu Reeves? Also have some Devilwaar's
Prota news.
Speaker 2 (28:28):

Speaker 1 (28:59):

Speaker 2 (29:00):
At Sonic they've launched they've launched the America two fifty menu.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Oh yeah, but it's two dollars.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
And fifty cents. Things you can get for two dollars
and fifty great, like the celebration of two fifty All
Ears junior double cheeseburger, an all American hot dog, not
a Cooney Murphy, an all American hot dog that's okay,
medium onion rings, and a red, white and blue slush float.
Any one of those two fifty cute fun and that's
a deal.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Look, I mean, I'm surprised not everybody else is doing it.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yeah, right now, a goot time. So we got the
Prime Days going on right now. Prime has partnered up
with Little Caesars. So if you're a Prime member and
a Little Caesar's Reward member, you can get a large
pizza for five dollars right now. Nice, and I can
say I've done this. I did it over the weekend
and it works like a charm. Okay, five bucks Man. Also,
(29:46):
a Little Caesars has a new pizza out now for
Spider Man brand new day. Yeah, it's the Webberoni pizza.
They cut up the pepperonis and they make a little
web out of it and cute.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
That's cute for kids. I'm sorry, that's cute. Okay, Arbi's
you know.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
We brought back the Angus cheese steak right now. By
the way, it's permanent, it's not a limited time thing.
Right now, covered in the cheese. And if it's just
not enough for you, they have the half pound version
of it.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
There you go, well, yeah, it's that's kind of like
the regular roast beef. You can get it double its
heavy as you.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Want, a half pound a season shaved Angus steak if
you try it out. I got some new bluey spreads
for your peanut butter sandwich.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Cute.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
They have a strawberry fruit spread and also a grapefruit
spread grape not grapefruit, but grape fruits fruit spread and
bluey is on the container.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
That's huge. How can you not buy that? You've got
a blue kid in the house.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
I mean, all right, a little quiz time here, finish
finished the jingle. The best part of waking up is Folgersay, congratulations,
tell them what they want? Okay nothing. Foldress has launched
a new instant ice coffee. Oh, because Folders is instant anyway, right, yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
No, no, no, Folders is you can brew. They do
have an instant version, I think. Okay, well, this instant
iced coffee the new one. You don't have to have
hot water. It's just cold water up and yeah, cold
water it works. Okay, I've done that with instant coffee before,
but it doesn't really dissolve very well, and you're smoothie.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
It's cool for it. Thank you, food dude,
