Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food dude.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Big Day at Mickey D's and also at Taco Bell.
Today we're going to start with McDonald's. They are dropping
the new K pop demon Hunters Meals on us. Yeah,
two different versions. And these aren't kids meals, these aren't
happy meals. These are I guess adult meals.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Good luck from getting them though.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
The Saga Boys breakfast meal, which includes a spicy Saga
McMuffin got some peppery spicy sauce on there, hash browns,
and a soda pop.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Of course, it's all Korean inspired, so I mean, I'm
interested in this stuff. I feel like it's going to
hit and stay.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
The cool one I think is the Hunter RX for
the girls. Their meal is a ten piece chicken nugget
and it comes with fries that are Mishaker fries. That's
the ones you put in the bag and shake them
with the spices. It's going to have a Korean style
blend of soy, garlic, sesame, and spice. You'll shake on
this fries and sauces a Hunter sauce, which is a
sweet chili dipping sauce and a tangy spicy mustard sauce

(01:06):
called Demon sauce.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Oo got demon hunters got it? I wonder if that's
like the old hot mustard.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Oh no no. And also there's a dirty mcfluory because
of the tiger. Yeah, BlackBerry popping pearls in it.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
You look so good.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Now over at Taco Bell you can get a one
dollar Mexican pizza today.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Wo wow.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
These are usually six thirty nine, so you're getting a
dollar now. They're only giving out thirty thousand of these,
so you gotta be quick on it. You got to
order through the mobile app. If you pull, if you're
a Taco Bell Rewards member, bring up your app. You'll see, Oh,
you get a dollar Mexican pizza.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
So order with another order.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
No oh period, whoa.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
But you have to have the app.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
But you have to have the app, and you have
to be one of the first thirty thousand. Okay, all right,
moving on free Baja blast now with Major League Baseball.
This is really cool with Taco Bell. If a home
run goes over four hundred and twenty feet, you get
a free Baja last at Taco Bell.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Okay, how often does that happen? See, I don't know this.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
You know, I don't have the stats on that, so
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
So are they measuring this with humans or AI?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Usually usually baseball games when you hit a home run,
I don't know who measures it, but they know exactly
what it is because I'll say, oh, that was four
hundred and twenty three feet.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well I shouldn't know if that extended past the umpire robot. Okay,
coming up at six poin fifty, Jody has three things
to note today.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Coming up next, going to hear from you for our Instagram, Facebook, YouTube,
and TikTok. Join us a million different ways eight seven
seven three one zero four msj to text or call.
You can also message us or email us, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,
all the places.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
That's exactly what Bill did. He was listening to the podcast.
He says, good morning, just heard on three things to
note today. The study about sparkling water improving the focus
of gamers. Jody did that yesterday.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
It was a small study.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah, there's not anything in the big medical journals.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
I just sort of say, well, he says, thought, was
it the sparkling water or is it just hydration, even
mild dehydration impacts your system and thought process, so it
could impact your gaming thoroughly. Enjoy your show, Bill, Thank you,
Thank you, Bill. I mean I could. If it's not
like that deep of a scientific study right now, he
could be right aloud.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
It's not super deep, but they do.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
But they did say their takeaway was that they think
the carbon nation does something that sort of tickles the
focus in memory, if you will.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
And if it was a study worth its salt, they
probably had a control group as well.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Sure, I don't know about thought.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Though, Oh it doesn't sound like it did.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
It was just an interesting lifestyle type story that I
wanted to share, you know. And look, the reason honestly
that it sparked me is because Murphy is on a
mineral water and sparkling water kick.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I know that's because of your mocktail dabbling lately.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I don't know why it became an obsession. And it
really started on a flight where they served Lacroix and
I've never really had that. They asked, you know, you
want regular sparkling water. I'm like sparkling water, and so
because it's flavored, it's just kind of like open up
a door for me. So I'm trying every brand out
there right now and every flavor.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
If you come to my house.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I drinking like Topo Chico right now, which I love
the twist and lime flavor, which is awesome.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
We have raspberry nectarine. Mineral water which is my favorite.
He bought a case for me.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's not mineral, it's just sparkling water, much different. So
mineral water actually is sourced from the you know earth.
Sparkling water can be just you know, filter water with
CO two, right, with carbonation.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
We have one called Lemon Italian ice. Is that mineral
or sparkling?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I don't know, it's sparkling. Okay.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
The big question is has it helped your gaming?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah? Right, focus, feel pretty focused and I'm going to
the bathroom a lot.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
You're hydrated. Thank you, Bill jump in anytime. Coming up
next your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
The Latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
You guys know who actress Sophie Turner is. She was
in Game of Thrones. Really my favorite female character in
that show, which is saying a lot because that show
was filled with strong, awesome female characters, and not.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Just because she's a fellow redhead.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Oh is she a natural? I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Anyway, She's a gorgeous girl and she's so talented. She
has been has signed on to be the next tomb Raider.
You guys know that she has learned to fight for
this role as Lori Croft tomb Raider in an Amazon
Prime series. So it's not gonna be a movie like
the Angelina Jolie stuff. It's going to be a series
like here's an episode, here's an episode. They started filming

(05:43):
in January. They've had to halt production because she injured herself.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Oh, I know, doing her own stunts.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Huh, well they All they've said is that it was
a minor injury.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
But for her, she's you gotta protect her.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
They're gonna stop everything until she can heal whatever that is.
But she's having to do a lot of fighting, you know.
So that's kind of awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
The other thing to note about this, when we do
finally get it on Amazon Prime, like, I don't know
anything about it. I don't think I ever watched The angelinae.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
It'll be all new to me.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Phoebe waller Bridge, the comedian, the creator of Fleabag. She's
the one behind this project. She's the writer. Expect there's
definitely be some humor. And when it drops, and when
they're back filming, we will let you know.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Coming up at six fifty, Jody has three things to
note today.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
I know you guys remember the old movie, and I
say that it was like eighty six when this came.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Out forty years ago, exactly.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Forty years ago. Stand by me, in.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
All our lives, there's a full from innocence, a time
after which we are never the same. It happened in
the summer of nineteen fifty nine, a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Oh man, when do you hear this?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Do you hear this?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
You guys want to go see a dead body?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I mean, what a movie narrated by Richard dreyf Aside,
for you forget about the narration being a huge part
of it, because he's a grown up looking back on
all these stories. You forget that John Cusack was in it,
a lot.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Of the very young nineteen eighty stars, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
And also let's remember that it was written it's a
short story written by Gavin King. Oh that's one reason
the storytelling is insane in this movie. Now.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I watched it a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
I wanted our oldest Taylor to see it, and I
asked her to come over. I was like, you watch
this with me. It was on Netflix or something, and
she liked it, but it was a little slow for her.
I'm like, oh, okay, I understand it's an older movie.
And so it is forty years old, and with the
fortieth anniversary, a couple of the stars, Jerry O'Connell, Will
Wheaton and Corey Feldman, are on a national tour for

(07:53):
the film. It's being shown in some theaters across the country,
so check your listings. You know, it was directed by
the late Reiner.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah, I forgotten.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yeah, And of course River Phoenix he died in the
early nineties, but he was I want to say that
was that was supposed to be his breakout. That was
the role where like, oh, he's arrived, because I felt
like he carried the movie, you know, River, I thought
he did.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I'd have to go back and watch it again. I mean,
it's been so long. I remember it being very moving,
but I don't remember all.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Those he for Sutherland is in it.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
He was the bully kid he was.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
I didn't like him like that, but I liked him.
I always like him on screen anyway. But the word
is now that they're touring and talking about it for
the first time in years, they say that they really
did get close. Like those friends they were portraying, They
got really close together because they spent all the all
that time together and there was no social media, there
was no font there were they were just together with

(08:51):
no tack around to stand by me forty years is next?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Money Moss compeat up, Superman. Lady Mouse is a cartoon.
Superman is a guy up, a real guy.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Coming up next. Jody has three things to know Today.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Three things to know Today.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Number one, TSA officer absence is still pretty high at
airports across the country, even though many are starting to
receive back pay after going without paychecks for forty five
days during the partial government shutdown. The payments cover the
period between February twenty second to March twenty first, so
about a month, and they started hitting accounts yesterday. They're

(09:31):
still owed for, you know, the rest of that period
and the rest of the people who didn't get them.
Those accounts should be filled up today. About five hundred
TSA officers quit during the shutdown. Number two, for busy
Americans Apparently at vacation time when you're supposed to do
absolutely nothing, we don't know how. We don't know how

(09:52):
to just do nothing, and if we did, we would
feel guilty.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
It's the majority of Americans.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah, and that is the truth, the truth.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
We need to learn how to stop, don't we.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Don't do anything.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
And number three, some of us are great attitude. And
number three, there's a seventh grader from Boston who may
have solved a big solar problem. He was just trying
to He was tired of going outside and switching solar
panels for his parents. Yeah, so he invented a system
that moves with the sun. He did it for like
twenty bucks. And now they're like, wait, we need to

(10:25):
talk to you. He set it to Washington to present
at the National Stem Festival.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Why didn't we have that before?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Exactly common sense, Exactly you're up to date.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
I want to share with you the way to make
cleaning a whole house top to bottom actually fun, make
the time go by faster. So me and Taylor and
Phoebe are daughters. We wanted to do this for my
mom Nana, and we wanted to clean her house for her.
This is the woman who raised me, who taught me
how to clean up house. We spent every Saturday cleaning

(11:01):
our house. I know that she wants it clean, but
she has some health issues. She has actually back problems.
If you have a back problem, you can barely tie
your shoe.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
So she has.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
And that's the story she told you that time.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Yeah I'm going to ask, but yeah, okay, all right, guys.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
For years, here's what's up.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
I just couldn't pass it up.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
A few years.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I'm like spring to come over and mop, and like, Mom,
I'm totally able to. We can hang out, and she's like, no, no, no,
you have a busy life. No, no, let's just spend
time together. Well, Taylor and Phoebe also said, you know what,
I want to spend time with Nana.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
The power of the grandchildren, power of.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
This, she won't say no to them.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
So Taylor was like, hey, Nana, why don't I and
Mom and and Phoebe will come over and clean and
we can all visit.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
And she was like, okay.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
We roll in there, mop buckets, rooms, all the stuff.
The other day and she had, in Nana's style, made
us taco soup and for the girls, she made their
favorite strawberry cake. So we you know, had soup and
cake after we cleaned. But she also was DJ Nana
because Taylor and Phoebe were like, we like to crank

(12:04):
music and all that while we clean, and so she
was like, okay, I'm on it. We started cleaning, and
she would pick the songs and started playing her favorite songs.
And here's where we started.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
She has always loved to look.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Well, that'll get you in the mood to clean.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
And so we had split up. Taylor took the living room.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
I started in the kitchen, Phoebe was hitting bathrooms, and
we we deep cleaned. We were dusting wind, the seals
were doing everything. She also introduced them to some stuff
that she wanted them to know about Murphy. I want
you to know she cranked Dwight Yoakum awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I haven't really thought about Dwight Yoakum in a long time.
Of nineties country gold.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
There more of it too. I was like, I don't
hang out at now we were really cleaning. This helped
a lot. She also introduced them to some Brooks and.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Dun Oh Wow glaring and they knew this already.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah, we also hit some Elvis.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I know they love that. I know that they are
luke warm on some of the country.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
They liked this song a lot. We were just having
a blast.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
And as we did the last mop throughout the house
and everything was shining, she did one more Jam.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
I asked the guy to start with in with to ownloads.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
I have to clean Jnana coming up.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Jody has three things to know today and next your
morning picked.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Me up, Morning pick me up time.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
This one's coming from an interesting place. It's coming from
five guys. You know, the Hamburger place.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I know it's a pick me up for you, Sam.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
This is a morning pick me up version. They're usually
a lunch for dinner pick me up, but they they
recently celebrated their fortieth anniversary and it's part of their
fortieth anniversary, they had a buy one, get one promotion
that they were doing.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Did you were you aware of it? Sam?

Speaker 3 (13:58):
After the fact, I heard it went south?

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Why why would it go south?

Speaker 3 (14:02):
They were just overrun by people.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
So they launched a second This is there is the
moment of redemption. They came back with a second round
of it and it went so well, because they weren't
expecting as many people. Honestly, you take advantage of it.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Buy one burger, get one burger free.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I mean I don't know. I just said buy one,
get one, so I don't know what ones. But in
round two it was so successful and the workers were
so important to making making it a successor Yeah, the
company you know, decided, okay, we're going to give back,
and they did one point five million dollars worth of
bonuses spread out across their stores to say thank you

(14:41):
to the workers. And you don't necessarily hear about that,
you know, is often these days you know bonus checks
being cut, but that's you know, the CEO and the
company showing its appreciation for the hard work, because you know,
I mean sometimes a larger company like that can get
a bad rap. But they understood that what Sam was
talking about them overcoming the deficiency of the first promotion.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Or whatever spoke good like the corporate man.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
It created some customer service concerns and and and you know,
the employees saved the day when they came back and
resurrected it.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
So so I have a question.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
So it went badly badly the first time, because why
you do it.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Oh, the employees couldn't.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Make it happen, and customers were not getting what they.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Yeah, they were say lines and then they would run
out of you know, product because it was just I
mean sometimes I guess if you're a business, you don't
expect to have that much success. But it just shows
you how what a strong brand. Five guys is five guys.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
As soon as you say five guys, usually there's that
what what happened a minute ago?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
When you're like, oh, big bag of fry? Yeah sweet?

Speaker 1 (15:47):
So you know it's to me, it's a big it's
a big statement for a CEO to say, hey, uh,
we didn't do this right the first time. Thank you
workers for you know, for making this, thank you for
bearing with us, and thank you for making round two success.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
The wheat all right? Coming up next to your Hollywood Outsider,
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
We got a Supergirl teaser that dropped yesterday with a
cameo from David corn Sweat as Superman. So the room
is filthy and there's trash and clothing everywhere her room,
and Crypto's there too.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Hey, Hey it's me Clark.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
He's on video.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
No, I'm just worried because well, you know, we miss you.
I was just touching base to see you when you
think you might be coming back.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
She's the cousin, she's his cousin, and so he's checking
and she's turning up her music like on an iPod,
like trying to shut him out.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Makes the music louder. And that's it.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
And at the end of this teaser trailer, it was
really cool yesterday for that to just have dropped out
of nowhere. There is another full trailer coming like either
today or this week, because this.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Movie is soon.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
The Supergirl movie, which he obviously has you know a
cameo in, is in June.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Supermmer release is the actress from House of the Dragon, right.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Millie Alcock. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
She the last time you saw her, maybe the first
time you ever saw her, she was riding a dragon.
So now she's Supergirl and she plays it really she's
really fun.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
So she no longer needs the dragon to fly.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
It's a lot with attitude. She is the dragon.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Also, we got a new trailer from Euphouria season three
yesterday with a little bit of Eric Dane remember.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Me, Oh good, I forget Oh Real.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Disease season three it's a really gritty season is coming
April twelfth.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
On the way, it's seven fifty three things to note today.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Joined the conversation anytime.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Lots of ways to do that, including you can email
us at Murphy Samonjody dot com.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Or you can text us eight seven seven three one
zero four MSJ, which is what Stephen did. Stephen sent
this because of the morning picking up you did last week,
Sam about the nine year old who saved the pastor
of a church by performing CPR.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
On just learned CPR the day before.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Have shoke so many things about that story.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
So our friend Stephen is a seat it is very
familiar with CPR because he's an EMT, an emergency tech.
And he says, I'm at work today currently listening to
the podcast and heard you comment about breaking ribs during CPR.
I think we talked about that because each of us
individually haven't it's been a long time since we did
the practice and all that.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
We talked about that because Sam said that I've seen
it on TV, I could do it.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
That's what you said, and I wanted to say, hold
on the.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Great benchmark for the TV.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
And then you had warned about breaking things well, I.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Just wondered about that. But so here's what Stephen says
about that. Obviously, I have performed CPR a lot on
a lot of people, and breaking ribs is actually quite common,
even on larger people. As a matter of fact, the
very first time I performed CPR was around twenty ten
at my old job at a poultry plant. I was alone.
I worked in the medical department, and it was three

(18:56):
in the morning. A truck riber in our yard collapsed.
While back you have to hook up a trailer. Security
called me. Went out there there he was lying on
his stomach between the seats.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Oh no, so.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
He had to climb up in the sleeper cab and
he once he got him on his back, he started
doing the compressions and broke several ribs on the second compression.
He says, you can feel it, sometimes you can hear it.
But the rationale is that a few broken ribs are
better than compressions not done properly, and therefore saving a
life makes sense to me. Wow, thank you Stephen for

(19:29):
sharing that.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Battie.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
Now does he say anything about mouth to mouth, because
I hear that mouth to mouth is not necessary now,
especially if you're not trained in CPR. The main thing
is the compressions. That's what I've heard and read.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I mean he does. All he talks about here is
the chest. The chest compressions part. So you know, I'd
forgotten about the mouth to mouth thing.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Is mouth to mouth for everything, or like they show
on TV when it's somebody who's you know, I.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Don't know, recommend that you take it going with the
TV Sam.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Thank you, Stephen. Coming up next, Three things to know today.
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Number one, let's start with something you're probably starting with
your coffee. What's the sweet spot for how much coffee
for all the benefits?

Speaker 2 (20:14):
The word is two to three cups a day.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
That's it. Long term study, massive study. Check this all out.
And if you have that moderate amount, it's not too much.
It's not one half cup, it's between two and three cups.
It helps lure your risk of anxiety and depression. You
get all of the focus benefit from coffee.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Good.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I fall in the normal range for something.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
Number two, A lot of talk about tiger Woods right now,
A lot of the public going why did he never
hire a personal driver? He certainly can many people in
his position do the word is according to multiple sources,
he's never wanted a private driver.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
He wants his privacy. He wants to drive himself.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
He doesn't like somebody knowing his movements all the time
and watching over him. And that's I guess that's something
that can be understood. He likes to be alone in
his car, but he's had some problems. Yea. And Number
three the NFL planning to launch a professional flag football league.
Oh cool, and maybe right around debuting around the twenty
twenty eight Olympics.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yeah, because we're getting that in the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
It'll be men and women, back by investors and include
current and former players, so names you know, playing flag football.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
You're up to date.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Right now today, twenty twenty six. What amenities help you
sell a home faster? Don't you want to know? Because
guess what it changes? It's also something that trends.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah, that makes sense, right. So sometimes it's kitchen, sometimes
it's bathrooms, sometimes it's backyards. Sometimes it's what do they
call the outdoor kitchens? That outdoor kitchens?

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Yeah, do you have any like what would help you
buy house?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Not a kitchen?

Speaker 2 (22:02):
I correct?

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Okay, So that's on the list for sure. Gourmet kitchens.
I mean I've seen it. I mean I've seen Murphy
get completely mesmerized by a Viking stove. A house we
were looking at was like, Man, I didn't want to
live in that house. In love with the Viking stove.
I'm thinking, well, let's just get a Viking stove, which we.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Still don't have.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
No, No, we don't.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
So, and that's something you would list if you were
a realtor, you would list that in the top line
of the kitchen amenities, Viking stove. So that's one. And
you guys are right about bathrooms and kitchens being very important.
As far as Jack that that's awesome because you do
fall in love with things, Okay, But they say cottage
core is very in anything that makes it cottage inspired,

(22:50):
like outdoor kitchens or fire pits, something that makes it
seem like a little cottage in the middle of the
woods where you'd find all this special little stuff. Something
just makes it more homey. Little things like that, not
just is it like a coziness.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Is that what's meant by coverage?

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Not just bones. You know, a house can have really
great bones, but does it have a close at bath
does it Does it have something that's sweet an extra?
Those are the extramnities that people are loving right now.
Another thing are the countertops right now. It used to
be you know, soap stone, and it used to be marble,
and it used to be quartz and now it's quart site.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
You guys know about that.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
I rather so it was a less expensive version of it.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Well, it's straight up, it's pure minerals.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
It's all regular quartz has like plastics and resins and
man made.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
With some quartzite.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
But quartz site, I hope I'm saying it correctly, is
straight up from the earth, and it lasts forever, and
it's pretty in a different way, and it'll cost you
to put an end.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
But it's one of those things that.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Oh, when Jody and I were looking for houses, there
were one that had a bidet, which was the first
time I've ever seen that. Did you use it now?

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Why?

Speaker 1 (24:03):
I asked Jody. I said, this bathroom's got a water
foun It's like, that's not a water.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
Fa And here's why we didn't buy that house.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Coming up next, Sam has music news.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yeah, Benson Boone is a wanted man and the legendary
rock duo that looks to be reuniting.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Sam's got Music News.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Kicking things off today with a new tour from Benson Boone.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
God.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
I think he's just wrapped up a tour too here
personally touring. It's called the Wanted Man Tour. Thirty four dates.
It starts in July, ends in September. The early presale
is on Wednesday tomorrow and regular general general sale it
will be on a Friday of this week.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah, expect the flips.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
I don't think he's ever busted it yet, but okay,
I mean what I'm.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Just a video anywhere of him falling.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Okay, you put that on your schedule for later today
to look that up.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
A couple of bits of Fleetwood Mac news for you.
Lindsey Buckingham says, you know what, me and Stevie Nicks,
we're kind of mending all the fences now.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
It's about time, he says.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
What he says is there seems to be something in
the air, whatever that means, and he says it hopefully
will translate into something good, something wonderful, something needed, and
something extremely appropriate.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
That doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Are you putting on a new album or what.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Well, it could mean just reconciliation for like, I don't
mean necessarily in a relationship, but it's like.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Yeah, right, Well, I know they reissued Buckingham Knicks last year,
so they were kind of on talking terms for that. Also.
I don't know if you remember this, but there is
a Fleetwood Mac documentary in the works. Oh, Lindsay said.
It's directed by Frank Marshall. He said that it should
be it should pop up on Apple Plus or Apple
TV plus later this year.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Good, I'm ready for that. We will watch that the
day it drops.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Y'all still have Apple TV um?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Yes, okay, check this the man who holds the streaming over.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
There and a positive Britney Spears update for you. She
returned to Instagram over the weekend and it was a
happy little story. She was on a boat with her
two sons, Sean Preston and Jadeen James, twenty and nineteen
years old. Everybody was smiling. I don't know where they
were going, but they were on a boat and this
is really good. You know. It was May fourth, excuse me,

(26:23):
March fourth, earlier this month that she was arrested for dui.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Well.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
US Weekly is now reporting that since that arrest, she
has been sober, completely sober good, and she's been going
to AA meetings on a regular basis. I read that
to you fingers crossed for Brittany.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
There for sure coming up next your Hollywood.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Outsider trending now, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
There's a series coming about the Jeffrey Epstein case. And
I do mean a scripted series. We have lots of documentaries.
I've watched two documentaries and read a book. Oh and
I honestly recommend reading one of the books because you
really get inside then. But there's this book called Perversion
of Justice, the Jeffrey Epstein Story, and it was written

(27:07):
by Laura K. Brown, who was one of the big
investigators who exposed a lot for the Miami Herald. So
she wrote this book and now they're talking about doing
a scripted series based on that, starring Laura Dern. Actress
Laura Dern is set to star as the investigative reporter Laura.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Not to confuse the Laura's gotcha.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
But if you don't understand all the multi levels of
this and you want to just know that that's coming,
if a scripted series is up your alley, so.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
That means we'll have somebody playing Epstein.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Yes, the dramatization of it, right, So that is in
the works. Moving on to something much different, much lighter
and beautiful, Reese Witherspoon giving us all a Legally Blonde
three update.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Trust me, Paula, you have all the equipment. We just
need to read a couple of projects.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Actually, the prequel show about you know, Ell is debuting
in July on Amazon Prime, and then there is a
Legally Blonde three film in the works. She's like, we
know that everybody wants to celebrate this character, women, especially
it was a part of your childhood or your teenagehood,
and you want to celebrate the idea of l moving
into adulthood.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
So that's what that film will do. You know.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
I was mentioning earlier that Taylor and phoebe our daughters,
and I went to my mom's house the other day
and cleaned for her because she has some back problems,
and I know she loves a mopped floor and mopping.
Mopping will hurt you back if you even if you're strong,
you know, and so she's had struggles with being able
to do that, so she allowed us to come do it.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
She cooked for us while we clean.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
She cranked up the jams and I'm down like, yeah,
like this, she cranked this, like girls, do you guys
know this? She was asking Taylor and Phoebe if they
knew this, and they did, but you know, she was
the DJ. But the other thing that happened when I
when we rolled in there, and it's just beautiful to
get three generations together, my mom, me and my our daughters.

(29:00):
Because when I rolled in, we had the mop buckets
and all this. But this is the woman who taught
me how to clean a house. And so I really
walked in and I'm like, I want to do it
the way you want me to do it, Mom, But
they have their own ways and they do. Taylor and
Phoebe have their own ways of cleaning their you know,
college dorms and Taylor lives in an apartment now and.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Well, and they have worked retail, they've worked in restaurants,
they work catering.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Right, they're And what I learned is they have some
tricks and hacks that I don't even have.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Oh yeah, it was really cool.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
And so but I walked in and I said, Mom,
I remember when you taught me all those years ago
how to clean a house. There was an order, and
I said, I didn't I didn't keep that tradition alive
in my home. I do it and how I want
to do it. But what order do you want? Because
I was trying to be respectful and this is your house.
She was like, I don't care she's at that place.
I'm just glad you're here to clean. I don't care

(29:52):
if you do it upside down. And so that was
a good relief because we just spread out so that
we weren't all in the same room at the same time.
We spread out and got it done more quickly. It
was three people working well. My favorite idea was Phoebe's
at the end. My mom's house is arranged where the
living room, the main living room is basically in the center,

(30:12):
and so we were mopping last, because that's something you
do last. To me if you're cleaning a house top
to bottom. I said, when we leave, I want your
floors to be wet, and she was like, great, and
so Phoebe suggested we mop all around the dining room,
the kitchen, the bedrooms around and then while those floors dry,
we sit in the living room together and visit and

(30:32):
then when we're done visiting and we know it's time
to go, then we mop the living room and leave
and it was really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
So they've got the hacks, Yeah, they do. And we're
supposed to go back in a month.
