Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast. We
have our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class for
this year. They have been announcing the ruptees. Are you
ready for it? Yes, no surprise here Phil Collins.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Good.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
So all the voting is over and everything's done.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, got to plan the ceremony.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Was up at the top of the fan voting for
most of the time there. Yeah, also making it in
Iron Maiden. They're going to be in there. Billy Idol
definitely deserves to be in there.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Man, You're going to watch out and have the mute
thing ready for his speech.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Billy says, to be recognized by your peers is incredible.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Also making the cut this year, and this is kind
of sweet, Luther van Drawl and also the Wu Tang
Clan making it in Oh yeah this year. Unfortunately a
new edition didn't make it. You know, they were up
near the top of the voter as well. Oasis made
it in two days. Gonna be the day that the

(01:03):
gunna throw it.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
But it's funny, is you kind of want to know
this list. Everybody wants to know this list because you
want to know your band and your group made it
or not.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It's my vote counter.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
And then you're upset about you know, but eventually everybody
that really deserves to be there will be there.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
The funny thing about Oasis is for years Liam has
been saying he's been, you know, like bad mouthing them
who wants to be in that out, But now he changed.
He says, it's a real honor. Of course, I wanted
to join ever since I was a kid, he said.
He talked to his mom and she says, be nice,
just go and enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
True, don't don't be entitled about it.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Also joy Division, New Order making it in and finally
on the list, Shaw Day making it in.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
She is therapy on my walks.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Now, those are the folks that are making in the
eight inductees for musical, but there are other categories that
there's Early Influence Awards in which Queen Latifa is going
to make it in for that, Yeah, okay, Musical Excellence
Award producer Rick Rubins making it in for that, and
get this Murphy. Yeah. The I'm an Ertigan Award is
for a non performer who's had a major influence on
the growth of music. Ed Sullivan going into the Rock

(02:16):
and Roll Hall of fame.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Oh wow, that because he was the one that announced
the Beatles or introducing Beatles.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
The Beatles. Yeah, and who in the world will induct
all of these people? You just never know yet that
hasn't be an announced yet. It's always a cool cast
of characters.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
And then there's the big concert November fourteenth taking place
in Los Angeles. We'll get to see it on ABC
in December and then Disney Plus will stream it for
a few months. Sweet coming up at six point fifty.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Jody has three things to note today and next it
is keep the wil Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
It's Keep the Wild Wednesday. Time for you to celebrate
with us your personal wows. And it's about when you
do something right for yourself or someone that you want
to celebrate. Keep your wows.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Got one here from Trace. Trace says, I went back
to college to get my medical certification at the age
of twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh nice.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
It took me a few years to find my life's work,
No kidding, rats, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
So many people don't know what they want to do
until a certain point in life, and then then you
got to go do it and you have that. Probably
Trace probably had that argument with himself like, here, I
am at this age. How long is it going to
take me to get here? And what point? What age
will I be once I'm actually doing what I wanted
to do?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yeah, and then once he's in it, I mean that's
to be celebrated.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You're doing it, You're doing it. Tony sent this. I
took my daughter a long time to figure out what
she wanted to do, but now she's forty three and
runs a successful business and has helped numerous other businesses
reach their goals. I think she was about thirty before
that light bulb lit, but man, she's going like gangbusters.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, I think this all this conversation, these wows stemmed
from your son, Parker. You sharing that that was a
wow about.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Him for failing out of school, basic failing out and
then going back at it. And then he's also pursuing
a dream of his that I will share in the
coming months.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Sweet, he won't let us share you That's okay, Yes,
thank you for that, Tony.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Eileen says.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
My wile for today is watching my daughter's pottery creativity.
It's really awesome to see and enjoy. There's something about
watching the artistic brain the right brain of you know,
one of your kids in action.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah, I speed to keep doing.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
You can't do what they're doing. Yeah, you're done pottery.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I've painted pre made pottery, but I've never done the
whole yeah ghosts thing making it myself.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Our youngest Phoebe did a little few pottery classes. Do
you remember that, Murphy? You still have one ball? Yeah,
we have one thing that she made. But of course
it wasn't just a funky pottery bowl. She made the
funky pottery bowl. Then she put the next week she
went and put handles on the side of it, and
then the third week she only went to like three classes.
The third week she put eyeballs in a smile.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
I love it. It's great.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, full of personality. Keep your wiles coming. You can
even join us. Eight seven seven three one zero four
sj Coming up.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Jody's Hollywood outsider. You know before we get to see
Anne Hathaway on the big screen. And when I say that,
you think devil wor'st product too, which is coming soon
just a couple of weeks away. This Friday, there's a
movie dropping in theaters, landing in theaters in select theaters
like a limited release called Mother Mary where Anne Hathaway
plays a pop star and she does all of the

(05:27):
singing chop play like original songs, pop songs written for
this movie, and she's acting and singing. And by the way,
Mother Mary is a psychological thriller. It's not your typical
pop star movie. Psychological thriller about you know, she's getting
ready for this comeback performance. You get to know who
she is, her life, and then your hope, I guess

(05:49):
you're hopeful for her comeback. And then someone comes back
into her life, someone from the past, to shake things up. Anyway,
Anne Hathaway said, to get ready for this role, she
consulted a real pop star because she wanted to understand
what a real pop stars life is like. And she
consulted Charlie XCX, who wrote several of these songs for

(06:13):
the movie. And Anne even said, for the record, pop
stars are endurance athletes. You know you're doing everything, but
you're glammed up and heals. The look matters as much
as everything else. It's harder than she even thought, you know,
going into it. She didn't take it lightly. So Mother
Mary in theaters select theaters this Friday.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Coming up next, Sam is the food dude Craft. He
is releasing a new line of fancy mac and cheese.
Sam's always up on the new eats.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
He's the food dude Craft.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Macaroni and cheese is going to a place they have
never been before. Where's that fancy town? They releasing a
new line of mac and cheese called restaurant Style.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Really well, okay, restaurant style well homemade.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Sorry, Usually yeah, it's fancier. They'll have bread crumbs on
it or something like that. The three flavors that we
are going to get are Parmesan, pesto, romano cacio pepe,
and monaey jack caramelized onion.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
You know, when I was growing up, sad to say,
I thought macaroni and cheese only came in the blue boxes.
My parents, my family did not make homemade mac and cheese.
So that's why I thought restaurant mac and cheese was
the greatest food on a planet.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah, yeah, we didn't make mac and cheese either.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Right, And now I make it homemade and it's a
little different every time, depending on what kind of cheeses
we have, and it's sensational.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Now these three Also, it's not going to be just
the new regular macaroni noodles. Each of them has a
different little fancy noodle. Yeah, you know the ones with
the Italian screw noodles or whatever. Yeah, and they're three
fifty a bocks, So okay, it's not.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Cheap, well because the ingredients for them or not.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Because it's restaurant style. Hey, Coke is doing something special
for the two hundred and fiftieth Birthday of America. It's
called Collect the Country. There's gonna be a different can
for each state in the nation. The initials will be
on there, the two initials, and I'm looking right now
at Texas, Georgia and California. There's gonna be a star
next to the letters, and they want you to collect
them all and there's gonna be games where you can

(08:15):
win a jeep and vacations and stuff. But each star
has got a representation of that state, Like Texas has
a cowboy hat in it. Yes, George has got a peach,
California has got a surfer. Oh yeah, so have some
with those when they land.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
That is cut.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Texas Roadhouse has dropped some new rolls on us in
the grocery store many these are garlic parmesan rolls. Pop
them in the oven and chow down on them. And
I also have a new dip, a Buffalo ranch dip.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
That comes with it. When you buy, they're.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Selling some dips on the side, and then they're selling
these rolls. By the way, I'm gonna give you a
little cheat here. Yeah, if you buy the regular Texas
Roadhouse rolls and you buy some little chicken nuggets and
you cook the rolls and nuggets, it tastes like it
tastes like the Chick fil a Mini Chicken Mini? Oh
does really exactly? I've done this two or three times.
Is that a TikTok act?

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Noah, busted food?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
But it's good.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Three things to know today. Number one, it's tax day
and so if you need if you're not done and
you're not going to be done by eleven to fifty
nine pm tonight, you can file an extension. You know
that before the deadline tonight, and that gives you till
October fifteenth. There's a one page form you fill out
for the extension. You still o fees and penalties you
always still owe. That's how it goes. Number two, Android

(09:42):
users could get some money under this one hundred and
thirty five million dollar class action settlement that has happened.
It was a lawsuit from twenty twenty alleging that Android
devices sent user data to Google without permission. This is
while your phone was idle, while apps were closed, you
were paying for the data. Google says, hey, we didn't

(10:03):
do this at all. They denied all wrongdoing, but they
still settled. So don't expect a huge payout though, because
it's like roughly one hundred million people qualify for this payment.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Hundred million people, one hundred and thirty five million dollars.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
See what you get because you'll get some information from
your carrier or an email from Google. And number three,
if you're going to fly anyway for travel, don't you
want it to be a totally great experience. While at
Hub has just released their list of the best airlines,
and they do this based on everything cancelations, delay rates,
baggage mishaps, leg room, Wi Fi availability. The number one

(10:41):
overall spirit airlines this year, You're up to date.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Really mean it for you to join us anytime? Eight
seven seven three one zero four MSJ call our text
us what's going on shereman.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Yeah, it's going to weigh in on that being safe
on your dating. Yes, one of the things I did
is I brought my dog in my first date, or
you know, I told the gentleman I was gonna bring
my dog and could go on a picnic and he's like, oh, well,
I was kind of thinking we would have dinner at
my house. Oh I'm like, not our first date. He's like, well,

(11:23):
I don't want anything. I want to do that. I said,
then fine, bye.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
You know, a dog is a great idea because dogs
can tell when somebody's not great.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
They can exactly. And I had one hundred and thirty
pounds Saint Bernard at.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
That time, and yeah, that'll do the trick.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
You know.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
And I had another gentleman that and then he's like, yeah,
let's do that. And so the one the second date,
I took bandit and then he actually brought his dog. Oh.
So we actually to hit it off right away and
we dated for about three months and in our separate ways,
but it was really good. But I definitely if you

(12:02):
have a big dog or have a dog, that's what
I would do.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah, it works for a lot of reasons. Very smart.
It checks a lot of boxes. You see, if they're
a dog person or not. Your dog gets to literally
sniff them out and give you clues whether this is
a safe person or not.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, and don't drive with that person. Take
your own car.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I agree with that too, especially you're meeting somebody for
the first time that you've only been chatting with online
or whatever. Yeah, I mean your intuition. Let your intuition
guide you every step of the way.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Exactly so. But that's my way to let you guys know.
Any I love your show and I listen to it
on the way to work and then listen on the
way back and.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
That well, thank you. I love the dog idea. We're
going to shout it out.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Yeah, thank you for the share. And the other one, honestly,
is the good move on not going to somebody's house
for the first time, and it's always going to be
picking neutral location.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I mean, if you want to send out a weird
vibe right out the start, ask her to come eat
it's your house for the first day.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
We should ourselves on our first date.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Oh my gosh. Yeah, bring the dog, always bring you
know you want to. If you're a dog person, you
want a dog person, or you least want them to
like your dog. Look, when Murphy and I were new
newly dating, I had a cat and it almost didn't
work out between the cat and her feet.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
You did not coming up. Jody has three things to
know today and next your morning pick me.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Up, Morning pick me up time. We are going to
celebrate a ninety one year old lady lives right outside
of Cleveland who is a part of that community's Are
You Okay? Program in the community where she lives alone,
and so they have this thing where she gets a
daily phone call from the city and it's like, are

(13:54):
you okay, ma'am? Is there anything that we can do
for you? Well, she didn't answer her phone that day
and so her daughter could not also reach her, who
lives across the across the country a different place. So
they did a welfare check on her the police department.
As a welfare check, they have her address. She's in
the program Are You Okay, which is a great name
for a.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Program, is a great great way to look after seniors.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
They roll in and she doesn't answer the door, and
so they get concerned. But part of the program is
they have her garage code. Oh, I know, right, great program.
So they type in the numbers and they go into
the house and they call her name and they can't.
They don't get an answer, and they go back to
her bedroom and she is there playing a video playing

(14:41):
a game of video games, trying to beat her own record.
She was playing Bubble Pop.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Oh really.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
They startle her a little bit, but she was fine.
She was safe in her bedroom trying to beat her
own personal record.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
That's funny. So she didn't answer her phone.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah, like you know when you're when you're in something,
you know, Murphy, You're that way when.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
You get Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
So they ended up laughing about it with her because
she was fine. She wasn't confused. She wasn't you know,
you never know what you're gonna come upon. Yeah, in
that situation. By the way, Bubble Pop, have you ever
played it? No, it's I've seen it being played. There's
a family member of mine who plays it a lot.
You just these bubbles pop up and you try to
pop them and they go away. Your goal is a

(15:28):
clear screen. You match things and you touch things quickly.
It's about your brain's hand eye coordinating.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
You know, and at ninety one, that's probably a really
good thing for her to be doing.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Exactly, just at a different time of day. Yeah, right,
exactly welfare yet.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Just trying to beat her own personal record. You know,
I just love the the program. Are you okay? Yeah?
The fact that she was trying to beat.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Her record an beat it?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
No, but she's still trying.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
She'd have beatn it and if her daughter hadn't been
shutting on her right. Coming up next, Jody has your
hogh you what outsider.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
Trending now? Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
For Game of Thrones fans, here's a big one from
Warner Brothers. We got this this week at CinemaCon. The
upcoming title and plan for the new Game of Thrones movie.
It's not a series, it is a Game of Thrones movie.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Did we know about this one yet?

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yes, we've heard inkling. So here's we've also heard. Remember
you and I had this conversation like, we want the
Circe story when she was little. We want Taiwan Lanister,
but they're gonna go way back. I want the John's nose,
the total you do the baby after.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
The fact, remember what he's doing now?

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, that's not what we're getting. But the working title
is Game of Thrones Agon's Conquest, So this one would
focus on the first egg Eggon? Did I say Agon
or Eggon?

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Which one?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
The Rise of the Targarians, the first one we ever
heard about them beginning to rule. I mean maybe even
before dragons, who knows. But this is the original Targarian story.
And they do say that's that's all you're gonna know.
They don't want to tell any plot details except that
and that the title could change. I think you change

(17:14):
the title. Don't make it called egg On's.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Contract sounds like a video game.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
We just want it closer, Like, how about a prequel
that's closer to the one hundred years closer than what somebody?
All right, coming up, let's turn it over to you.
Kim is joining us next eight seven seven three one
zero four ms J Join us anytime eight seven seven
three one zero four MSJ. You can call or text

(17:41):
to that number to jump on in.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Good morning, Good morning, This is Kim Jelly. You were
talking about the stain on your dress. Yes, where is.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
It at the bottom?

Speaker 4 (17:53):
How big is it?

Speaker 2 (17:54):
If it's me like a glove.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
You may.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
It's mean what size you want.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Big.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
It's the study.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
The stain is. The stain is smaller than a dime.
You got any tricks.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
Yeah, And back in the day, if you had a
hole in your jeans or you had a hole in
the shirt, you could get in border something over it. Yeah,
that small and if you didn't mind where it was,
you could always put a little little bordered piece of
something so over that.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, I don't think it would make sense where it
is sort of toward the bottom of the dress, you know,
at the at the left. I don't know if that
would make sense. You're like a patch.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
Exactly. But but yeah, but yeah, yeah, like a like
a patch, but a little pretty something, a flower or anything.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
It was just an idea because that's what we.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
Used to do.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
But hell, and put it at the bottom, you know.
I honestly hanging on to hope that I can find
a way to get it out. I hear that there's
all kinds of like, you know, things you can google,
things you can try. Even though I tried the dry.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Cleaner, you the pros can't get it out.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
I know.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Thanks you all, good luck, good luck, You're sweet, Kim,
Thank you'll.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
The best show in the whole world. I have y'all
home at work, I have y'all on in the car.
I wouldn't trade your station, and oh.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
We wouldn't trade you either. Thank you for this.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
I'll have it, y'all.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Have a great day, you too.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
You know, if it wasn't the right spot, I get
exactly what she's talking about.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Well, here's the other thing. I am going to look
into ways of getting it out. The only other option
since is at the bottom. You follow me? Have you
thought of this yet? Him the dress and make it
much shorter.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
It's probably a little shorter than I should be rocking.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Already. Too short.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
No, it's perfect. It's the perfect length. Now if I
if I hem it because of the saint the stain,
it might be a little much, you know, trying to
get attention dressed and I'm not okay, I understand.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Here's three things to know today. Number one, it's tax day,
so look for some retailers and favorite places to eat
to sort of try to ease the pain for you.
A lot of tax day deals to be aware of
as long as you use the app. Yeah, Krispy Kreme,
Jersey Mike Subs, Subway reward members get like a free
foot long when you buy one. Wendy's has deals, Pizza

(20:33):
Hut even tax.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Deals.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah. Nice. Nice. Number two, Maybe you feel this way too,
as you know you're at home watching something on streaming,
whether it's a movie or a show, where you're tired
of the next episode loading before you're even you just
said goodbye to one episode and the next one's about
to pop up. Yeah, it gives you no time. Apparently
we're all sick of this. There's a viral campaign to

(20:58):
have streaming services stop force feeding us the next episode
or next blockbuster. Hollywood Union's getting involved asking Amazon and
Netflix to stop as well. It might be a thing
of the past if you don't like it. And number three,
we know about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
Now you told us earlier, Sam, Phil Collins, Luther Van

(21:19):
Dross shawd A getting in. But as always, there are
some snubs. So the big head scratchers for everybody. How
is Melissa Ethreds not in in excess? The Black The
Black Crows were snubbed, but for the third year in
a row after being nominated. Mariah Carey did not get in.
Apparently they don't think she belongs there. Yes, you're up

(21:41):
to date.

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Sam, I'll have you know that Murphy has adopted one
of your life hacks.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Making pizza.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
No no, no, But it's about time for this one.
He had a very stressful day yesterday. You know, Murphy
works a lot, and when he gets home and backs
into the car, if he's still in the car, you know,
I'm assuming he's on the phone because he's talking. He's
working still, and that happens a lot. But I'm walking
past you walking the dog, and I see your head
moving and you weren't talking, you were laughing.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Well, I decided after my workout, which was very therapeutic
by itself, I just instead of listening to music on
the way home, I wanted to just listen to comedy.
And so did I chose your favorite, Sam, Nate Bargatzi.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
I am from Old Hickory, Tennessee. And look at look
how far we made it. Our zip code is three
seven one three eight, and how I was told to
remember it was thirty seven plus one equals thirty eight.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I love this.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, I've never forgotten, and I don't think you will either.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
He's just so, you know, he's so awesome and I'm
not approved by any stretch of the imagination, but the
fact that he does it all without any sort of
like crazy you know language will guaranty and anybody can
listen to it. It's just and I mean I just
find it all side splittingly funny, and it was very
therapeutic to just go there, let.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
My mind, you know, go away with something that is
the man.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
I was so glad to see you doing that instead
of work.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, I had to. I had to bring it home too,
and I said, Jody, you've got to hear this.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
He brought it in.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
She always tells me, I don't listen. She's like, you
don't listen, you never listen.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
You're talking about his wife.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I I've heard that every time, but.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
And I don't.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
I don't think I listen to everything. But I also
don't think she says everything she thinks.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
She says.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
He's awesome.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
I never realized either what you point out, Murphy. I
never realized that. I never thought about it is I
don't listen to him as much as you do. That
he is safe for everybody, and that's important for a comedian. Yeah,
that's important for families to be able to enjoy comedy together.
If you're listening to if you're watching Chappelle or something
like that, you gotta be careful if kids are around,

(24:03):
or even like Chris Rock. But you know, for for Nate,
it's like everybody can listen and that's fun for families
to share in that.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
And if you ever get the opportunity to see him live,
which Sammy, my son and I did a few weeks ago,
the three opening comics, same thing. Oh really, everybody was clean.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
So fun. All right? Coming up another Hollywood Outsider and
next Sam has Music News.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
We'll let you know why Billy Eilish has a puppy
room backstage.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Sam's got music News.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Got our final trailer for the Billie Eilish three D
concert film, Hit Me Hard and Soft the tour.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
It's your show, it's your creative vision. This is gonna
blow people's minds.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
By the way. That guy at the beginning. There was
a director, James Cameron. He's the one who brought in
the three D cameras and he and Billy worked together
to put it all together. If you watch the trailer,
which is the latest and last trailer for this one.
You're gonna learn all kinds of stuff like that. Billy
likes to have a puppy room backstage at every tour stop. Yes,
she gets in touch with rescue organizations. At each tour stop,

(25:05):
they bring in dogs for everybody, because she says, everybody
needs some dog.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Love and the dogs need the love.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
To look for the movie. May the eighth. Nick Jonas,
he is one of the hardest working guys in Hollywood
right now. I don't know if you knew this one, Jody,
but June fifth, he's got a movie coming out called
power Ballad with Paul Rudd. I could tell it in
two minutes of meeting you.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
You're not just some boy band guy, and you are
too good for that wedding band.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
I feel like I have seen, you know, some rumblings
about this.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Yeah, well, he's also Nick Jonas on Christmas Day going
to be in Jumanji three with Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black
and Kevin Hart Cool. He's also going to be in
a horror flick, a holiday horror flick called White Elephant. Okay,
and just announced he's announced a rom com for Netflix
that we don't have a date on that one or
when that one's coming by. Yeah. Yeah, he's more about

(25:56):
the screen than the music.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Okay, good, And here's a mystery we can solve. You know,
the lady who's been charged with stalking Lindsay Buckingham in California.
She threw some liquid on him a few weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I don't know about this, No, no, no, okay.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
She's kepparently stalking him for a few years now, having
restrain in order and everything. She threw some liquid on him,
scratched his car, disappeared. The police founder in Indiana. This
happened in California. They found her in Indiana. She's been
arrested and she's going to be sent back to California.
But the prosecutors also say she stalked a second victim,
identified as Stephanie Inn. Oh no, do you know what

(26:36):
Stevie Nick's real name is?

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Stephanie.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah. They're not confirming, but they're just saying Stephanie in
what liquid was thrown on him?

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Question exactly?

Speaker 1 (26:46):
I don't know. I've looked up all over the place
for that one. I can't find it. But her whole
thing is she thinks Lindsay Buckingham is her father.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Oh okay, it's a mental situation coming up next your
Hollywood Outsider, Jody's Hollywood Outsider. If you miss the days
when Ocean's eleven felt new to you and it was
George and Brad and everybody sow your idea of making
a contribution and even started hadn't got into the terms.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
In This Close to Losing.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Okay, that movie is so fun to look at, to
listen to, to watch the dialogue.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
That interactions, like every Brad and George interaction in every movie.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
They have a chemistry when they're together. And you notice
that Brad Pitt was always eating in every scene in
Ocean's eleven. It seemed there was always this caperish music
in the background too. That movie is stylized it had
a five all of those. So anyway, we're confirmed now
that Bradley Cooper is set to write, direct, and star
in an upcoming Ocean's eleven prequel alongside Margot Robbie. In prequel,

(27:50):
meaning he'll play like Danny, the original Danny Ocean, like
George Clooney's grandfather or something like that, And what you'll
learn is this sort of caper stuff is just in
the blood.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
So since it's a prequel, are we going to go
back to like the fifties and sixties?

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Apparently we're going back to at least the sixties, which, man,
that's going to be so cool and stylized. And let
me just say it again for your imagination. Bradley Cooper
and Margot Robbie, I think we're all on board. Yeah. Also,
another cool piece of news if you love the show,
The Madison will on Paramount Plus. Massive hit starring Mi
Shelfei friend Kurt Russell from the World of Taylor Sheridan

(28:27):
has already been renewed for a season three.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Got a little personal question for you, Murphy and you Jody,
Actually it includes both of you about your current eating habits.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
The reason I bring it up is I know you know, Murphy,
I know you've been hard at it, even when you
hit the plateaus. You're hard at it since December twenty six,
you know. And Jody's right along with you. There. A
couple of things have come up that I guess behind
the scenes, and it makes me wonder how long this
is gonna be a lifestyle change for you. The reason
I bring it up is Murphy, you said you had

(29:02):
a miniature peanut butter egg for Easter and that was
basically all the candy you had.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah, that's the only thing I've had since December for
Christmas for candy.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
You've had some desserts, Jody, I mentioned or you mentioned
something about needing almonds. I was like, we got some
chocolate cover ones. You go, I just need almond almonds.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah, So how long?

Speaker 1 (29:21):
And you know, and this is not any kind of criticism,
I'm just curious, how long can you keep this up?
How long do you plan to keep this up? Like Murphy,
you're giving up candy. Are you going to do that
for life? Or is this just for now oranti.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Well, I mean for it to be a lifestyle change. Yeah,
but I mean I don't do anything for life. I mean,
it's that's that's from the that's the drinking thing. You
know what I'm saying, one day at a time, I'm
not gonna look at it's if you believe you're giving
up something for life, you've already put too much pressure
on yourself in the first place. So you're setting yourself
up for failure because you're thinking about what you can't
have for the rest of your life. And that's where

(29:54):
I'm thinking about it. That's too daunting for anybody. I
don't know. I mean, my thing is I'm just going
to keep going. It's so that's a healthy change. I
feel so good about, you know, not eating bag snacks
anymore in candy. If I decide I'm gonna have one,
great I do. If not, it's a change, you know,
it's a I mean, it's a commitment. I just for me,
it just it's one of those where it's a combination

(30:16):
of a few things in my own head. If you're
wandering the real reasons for it. But part of it is,
you know, as you age and you're thinking about your kids,
and you're thinking about your own health, and those kind
of things are just incentives to realize that, Okay, just
because my parents had me eat or learn to eat
a certain way doesn't mean that's the way that I
need to be eating today. And we tend to be
very mindless about that. We think that, you know, a

(30:37):
lunch is always sandwich chips and candy or sandwich chips
and something.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I was never why why why is that right exactly?

Speaker 3 (30:44):
And so so I mean I'm hoping it's long term
because the health benefits their self reinforcing.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
For me, what about you, Jody?

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Mostly all the time, but I do let myself splurge
once a week and that was this Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I learned that from Jody too, once a week
