a fast moving blaze called the Dragon Bravo Fire that
destroyed the nineteen thirty seven Grand Canyon Lodge and up
to eighty other North Rim buildings over the weekend, burned
more than five thousand acres due to the extreme heat,

the low humidity, and the gusty winds. Every staffer and
every visitor to the park escaped no problem, but they're
saying they're looking at a second threat and visitors are
urged to avoid that area and watch out for park
updates because parts of the park obviously still open. Number two,
So this week is when you'll get your packages if
you ordered stuff on Amazon Prime Day, right, yeah days.

You hear about this woman in California who has received
hundreds of packages over the last year that she didn't
order their Amazon packages. She stacked them up in her
garage because she wasn't getting any help from Amazon. Her
address was listed as the return address for these seat covers,
and so people had problems with them. They didn't fit,
they weren't right, and so they sent them back, but

to her, Amazon finally stepped in and helped her and
they showed up to pick them up. And number three,
should you wash new clothing before wearing it? The word
from experts is yeah, you should. It's got dust on it,
maybe dand er anything. People who tried it's transfers from
them if they've tried it on. And by the way,
fabric is also treated with chemicals brand new things, so

watch before you wear you're up to date. Three things
to know today when you're married, when you're in a
couple situation, just because you get along with someone like
Murphy has this friend, doesn't mean that I'll get along
with your friend's spouse friends.

You know, you clicked from day one?

And I could hang out without you guys well actually
get a lot. So it's just one of those perfect
storm things because it doesn't always have to be that way.
And that's okay. I mean, we have friends that we
don't hang out with US couples, Like I have girlfriends
who are married and we don't hang out with US couples.

But it's like, you don't get to choose your in laws.

No you don't, Murphy, And I know that's your auto.

I am speaking in generalities here, just for the record.

Look, we didn't really have any hard, hard plans for
any travel this year, and then they invited us for
the second week of our time off to come stay
with them and they they live on this lake and
it's just so beautiful there because of the water being there,
and their home is comfortable, and it was awesome. Murphy,
truly relaxed.

It's just the most relaxed I've been all year.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Right, And I don't know that they know that you're
not relaxed normally, or that that you work so much
that relaxing can be tough for you.

I suspect Mark probably knows I'm a little bit on
the type a workaholic side, right, But yeah, it was.
It was nice to have a sort of an It
was an unplanned break. And because Jody and I didn't
have any we didn't have like a original itinerary to
be on. I think that helped a lot. Yeah, because
so many vacations we've done, you know, not like overscheduling
the day, but when you've got several things scheduled, you

you have to you're on a schedule.

Yeah, you know.

Audre and I would leave almost every day and go
have lunch, go shopping, go thrifting, you know, to come
back to find the guys sitting out talking, getting in
the boat Murphy's riding the Seado again.

That was fun. It's just really it's like riding a
motorcycle on the water, big Kerry free and I love it.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
My big question is like, how do you even think
I'm sending a thank you note? I just I feel
like I should send them another big thank you, you know,
because how do you thank someone for sort of giving
you a vacation in their home?

bigger than you know one day and what we're doing

Also to Justin Bieber put out a new album called Swag.
I heard that and it's his first album from under

the thumb of Scooter Braun. This is the way Justin's
and here's a new song for you. By the way
it is. It's a little Yes, it's called All I
Can Take. Here's the thing. Since he's no longer managed
by Scooter Braun, he said this was his first album
that he's actually able to do by himself, have complete

control over it. Before it was like, but we need
a single. Oh, we need a perfect album. We need this,
we need that. This one. He could take his time
do what he Jake Justin wanted to do. And he
may have missed this too, but he now owns all
his masters. He reached a deal with Scooter while we
were out. Don't have an exact number on it, but
it's multimillion dollars. So he now owns one hundred percent

of his masters. Good something Scooter should have done with
Taylor Swift. But I guess he learned his lesson. Yes,
okay and Ozzy Osbourne. I don't know if you caught

a new memoir that's coming out later this year, October

Yeah, this one's October the seventh. It's gonna talk about
his Partlkinson's diagnosis, how you know, leading up to that,

would you do it all over again differently? If you
had a chance, He goes, if I'd been cleaning sober,

Edie, our old she was a lab mix.

Yeah, right, rescue Edie. We had to say goodbye to
her at the very beginning of our vacation.

Was it was you know, and of course, Sam, you
just dealt with that recently with us, you know what
I mean. And so yeah, so Edie started acting a
little bit strange a couple of days before. Sometimes weather's
always been a you know, the catalyst for that, but
this time she just wasn't. You could tell she wasn't
getting comfortable. And we knew that we had a follow
up appointment for her that we were going to bring
her to, but we wound up having to do the
(11:29):
day before. And when they took x rays whatever the
tumor that she had had expanded into her abdominal cavity
and it was just and her lungs and her lungs
and it was not a good situation. Uncomfortablearly, she was uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So yeah, Debbie sent this. My heart skipped a beat
when I read this. Truly, saying goodbye is the hardest
part of having our pets, but they are such a
blessing while they're here. Thinking of you. Thank you for that, Debbie.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Yeah, you know what's so weird about this is this
is a dog that I really didn't want to love
because she was she was a rescue, she was a
broken thing and just you know, was made mess all
over the house.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
And she was she was awkward, she was difficult.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Kind of high maintenance. But you know, but but that
that sort of dependency and the shyness that she had
became really endearing to me. She really depended on me
to kind of be her alpha. And so the last
couple of years I didn't really realize how much, you know,
I loved her, and so being there that's when it
all just kind of poured out. Actually, it was so embarrassing, Sam,
(12:26):
when I did start to tear up, and because I
was crying, I don't know what was up with my sinuses,
I wound up with a nosebleed, right, So the vets.
I'm like, like, I'm very sorry about this.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
I never had this reactions.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
The focus is on.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I will say this too, was that it was like
a Tuesday afternoon and we were at the vet and
we decided to make We made the decision, you know,
we didn't want her to continue to be so uncomfortable.
Taylor and Phoebe stopped by and came and they gave us.

Our daughter a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Both girls were able to stop, and so we the
four of us were sitting around her, loving on her,
and so it was actually very peaceful and very beautiful.
But our girls got to say goodbye to.

Yeah, and you know what the vet does there though
that it's really fun because you know, chocolate is toxic
to dogs, but at that moment, so she got to
enjoy her first Hershey's kisses.

And she right before.

Edie, our old she was a lab mix.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yeah, right, rescue Edie. We had to say goodbye to
her at the very beginning of our vacation.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Was it was you know, and of course, Sam, you
just dealt with that recently with us, you know what
I mean. And so yeah, so Edie started acting a
little bit strange a couple of days before. Sometimes weather's
always been a you know, the catalyst for that, but
this time she just wasn't. You could tell she wasn't
getting comfortable. And we knew that we had a follow
up appointment for her that we were going to bring
her to, but we wound up having to do the
(11:29):
day before. And when they took x rays whatever the
tumor that she had had expanded into her abdominal cavity
and it was just and her lungs and her lungs
and it was not a good situation. Uncomfortablearly, she was uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So yeah, Debbie sent this. My heart skipped a beat
when I read this. Truly, saying goodbye is the hardest
part of having our pets, but they are such a
blessing while they're here. Thinking of you. Thank you for that, Debbie.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Yeah, you know what's so weird about this is this
is a dog that I really didn't want to love
because she was she was a rescue, she was a
broken thing and just you know, was made mess all
over the house.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
And she was she was awkward, she was difficult.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Kind of high maintenance. But you know, but but that
that sort of dependency and the shyness that she had
became really endearing to me. She really depended on me
to kind of be her alpha. And so the last
couple of years I didn't really realize how much, you know,
I loved her, and so being there that's when it
all just kind of poured out. Actually, it was so embarrassing, Sam,
(12:26):
when I did start to tear up, and because I
was crying, I don't know what was up with my sinuses,
I wound up with a nosebleed, right, So the vets.
I'm like, like, I'm very sorry about this.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
I never had this reactions.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
The focus is on.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I will say this too, was that it was like
a Tuesday afternoon and we were at the vet and
we decided to make We made the decision, you know,
we didn't want her to continue to be so uncomfortable.
Taylor and Phoebe stopped by and came and they gave us.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Our daughter a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Both girls were able to stop, and so we the
four of us were sitting around her, loving on her,
and so it was actually very peaceful and very beautiful.
But our girls got to say goodbye to.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Yeah, and you know what the vet does there though
that it's really fun because you know, chocolate is toxic
to dogs, but at that moment, so she got to
enjoy her first Hershey's kisses.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
And she right before.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
