You know what cracks me up about Game of Thrones though,

that dialogue, and it can sometimes get quiet, so it's

like that. And it's actually still in the middle.

about something I learned over the vacation for my daughter Mattie.
Something she is terrified of, but she's got to do it.

For months now I've had Jackson, who's sixteen, driving with
an adult with an adult and how's that going?

Well, first day with his car, he hit a mailbox,

Oh that's right. You replaced it like a good neighbor does.

Then there I knocked over a mailbox or two when
I was young.

And you know, he's he's bumped into a couple other things.
I found out from his mom. Yeah, he hit it.
I don't want to say he hit. He bumped into
a tree in at their house going up the driveway
and he wasn't paying attention and bumped into it.

Yeah, so he's done. He was moving forward when you
hit the tree.

Yeah, so he could hit mailboxes going backwards and trees
going forwards. Recovered and all curious. The other thing that
has happened is Mattie and Parker took the classroom part
of their driver's head. Yes, and Mattie's mom ran and
ran into the teacher also known as Coach, who said,
they get Maddie ready because pretty soon I'm gonna be

calling and Mattie's gonna start driving. Yeah, the look on
her face was like sheer terror. Of course she does.
She it's like she wants to do it, but she
doesn't want to have to do the work to get
the wheel to get there.

Has she been behind the wheel at all with you
guys and her mother, not with me?
Speaker 4 (03:49):
And while she was here on vacation, I was trying
to get her behind the wheel and just go around
the neighborhood, sure, and she would just start like uncomfortable,
and it's like, I'm not talking about big roads. I'm
just talking about around the neighborhood. I mean, Jackson at
a mailbox. What's the worst you could do?

And so she hasn't sure she wouldn't do it.

So next weekend that I have her up here, I'm
gonna try and basically force her to do it because
she is literally terrified. Now, well, you know what you
could do is do a parking lot before the neighborhood.
That way, she's about empty parking lot. I don't ever
start on streets. I started a parking lot because the
worst that's going to happen is a curb. Right, Well, you.

Really do need to because you don't want her first
time to meet with that. Yeah, I know, in non
serious situation.

And I asked this, like what about Parker, because you
know it was kind of a two for deal. This
teacher doesn't want to touch Parker until down the road.

It's called Showbiz Kids. I came from a family of artists.
It was just kind of normal because that everyone did it.

way to go. Like they're at a certain age and
they want to have a friend with them on vacation,
and Phoebe is also going on vacation with a family
of dear friends of ours next week.

Yeah, and so what's funny about this? Though? You know
what happens when a kid who's never been with your
family for a long period of time and extended period
of time, it's different for them. Anytime you were little
and you spent time with other families, you pick up
on and notice while other people live differently, right, Like

One of my friends, their family had no problem cursing.
Yeah you know, I mean wait wait the friend of
the parent parents.

at least not in public. So there are a certain
food always that food thing. So when somebody at another
house they fix.

I've had that. The kids come home and they want

home with a new appreciation for you also because they
didn't join the conversation. Anytime, we love to visit with you.

for parents of young babies, for new parents. If you've
got a baby that cries and wakes you up one
hundred times a night, or you just can't settle the
baby back down, that is such a distressful thing, you know,
it is so stressful for the parent. Mostly, I will

never forget. When Taylor was a baby and she did
cry a lot, one of the pediatricians told me, he.

Says, yeah, just let her cry.

He told me, out of crying that she does is
going to hurt her. Yeah, that didn't help me. Him
saying that didn't help me.

It's the toughest sound in the world to hear because
your natural thing is to do. You want to address it,
you want to do something, you want to try to fix.

It's true, it's true. It gets to your heart. It's
not just your ears. It's for me, for it was
my heart.

They've created something called cradle Wise. It's a new smart
crib murphy. You would have been all over this. It
detects when your baby starts to move or starts to cry,
and the sensor's kicking the motion and rock the baby

it also has noise makers and not like party, but
the optional sounds of like woom ocean waves, so.

Rocking the crib, rocking the rocking anyway, is it rock?

Or is it like the old magic fingers bad where
it's no? I'm I'm sure it's gentle for a baby,
you know.

Like you probably have options of like a sway or
you know, whatever works. And also you can even build
in a playlist of songs that you think will help
your baby fall back to sleep. And Murphy. It's going
to be released in September. It's called cradle Wise.

The only thing I would wonder is is it susceptible
to thunder? Other things like that dog's barking? Will that
set it off?

human touch especial mom or Dad in skin to skin.

a pair, you know, and it was like he called
the guy, talked to the guy, these are the ones.

got so fine, I'll go with you and we'll pick
them up.

And know where are they? They are like ninety minutes away.
Oh wow, that's a dry yeah. And the money you're
saving them the speaker as you're making up for in gas.

my initial fifteen minutes of ranting and raving was over,

back and they barely fit in my car in order
to be able to bring him home.

First of all, he forgot his mask, so I had
a we walk in into a medical facility during COVID
and I had to loan him one of mine and
mine has leopard print on it, so he looks precious.

The big deal was that once you filled out the
paperwork and you had taken a little sedative that they
had given you, she says, come on back. She's like,
come on back, And so I ask can I come
back with him? And she says, you know you really,
if he needs you to, we'll call you.

So I'm sitting in the waiting room and TikTok, I
think is it five minutes that pass by.

She came out.

She says, I need you to come here.

So, yeah, the thing is claustrophobia is my problem. This
was an open MRI. It just I know that I
can't do the one on the tube, the one that's open.

So the held your hand. At least I was told
to talk to him.

Yeah, and that helped because the sedative wasn't doing anything.

That's what it was weird about it. I mean, just
it wasn't.

So I'm really glad that Jodi came in there to
to you know, to hold my hand and you talk
to a point she said. She said, she can talk
to you, but you can't really respond because you can't move. Yeah, okay, So.

Yeah, I started talking. But when the noises started happening
and I had a squeeze, I had.

A mask on.

I thought he could I thought you couldn't hear me.
So I stopped and I just, you know, held your hand,
and I don't know how many minutes it went. Do
you know how many minutes before you had to.

Well, yeah, so you know the little panic button is
the squeezy thing that they need to let you know
what's up. Sam, I had to squeeze it. Oh, so
it wasn't a success, No, no, I had I had
to back out of it. And you know, I was
doing really well there because I was probably going for
a good five to ten minutes.

The really sweet thing, though, was Jody wanted to empathize
with me, so she actually asked the attack if she

the time. I have one of them in there, and
I rarely use it. I'm not very hairy, so I
don't have I rarely have to trim my mind.

takes care of the long ones?

No, you don't calm it across you'd rip off. It's
the razor, so you will actually lose hair if you
do that. You have to be strategic with it and targeted,

about something I learned over the vacation for my daughter Mattie.
Something she is terrified of, but she's got to do it.

For months now I've had Jackson, who's sixteen, driving with
an adult with an adult and how's that going?

Well, first day with his car, he hit a mailbox,

Oh that's right. You replaced it like a good neighbor does.

Then there I knocked over a mailbox or two when
I was young.

And you know, he's he's bumped into a couple other things.
I found out from his mom. Yeah, he hit it.
I don't want to say he hit. He bumped into
a tree in at their house going up the driveway
and he wasn't paying attention and bumped into it.

Yeah, so he's done. He was moving forward when you
hit the tree.

Yeah, so he could hit mailboxes going backwards and trees
going forwards. Recovered and all curious. The other thing that
has happened is Mattie and Parker took the classroom part
of their driver's head. Yes, and Mattie's mom ran and
ran into the teacher also known as Coach, who said,
they get Maddie ready because pretty soon I'm gonna be

calling and Mattie's gonna start driving. Yeah, the look on
her face was like sheer terror. Of course she does.
She it's like she wants to do it, but she
doesn't want to have to do the work to get
the wheel to get there.

Has she been behind the wheel at all with you
guys and her mother, not with me?
Speaker 4 (03:49):
And while she was here on vacation, I was trying
to get her behind the wheel and just go around
the neighborhood, sure, and she would just start like uncomfortable,
and it's like, I'm not talking about big roads. I'm
just talking about around the neighborhood. I mean, Jackson at
a mailbox. What's the worst you could do?

And so she hasn't sure she wouldn't do it.

So next weekend that I have her up here, I'm
gonna try and basically force her to do it because
she is literally terrified. Now, well, you know what you
could do is do a parking lot before the neighborhood.
That way, she's about empty parking lot. I don't ever
start on streets. I started a parking lot because the
worst that's going to happen is a curb. Right, Well, you.

Really do need to because you don't want her first

that has landed on HBO. It landed there yesterday called HBO.

food always that food thing. So when somebody at another
house they fix.

I've had that. The kids come home and they want

home with a new appreciation for you also because they

He told me, out of crying that she does is

saying that didn't help me.

your natural thing is to do. You want to address it,
you want to do something, you want to try to fix.

It's true, it's true. It gets to your heart. It's
not just your ears. It's for me, for it was

them up.

And know where are they? They are like ninety minutes away.
Oh wow, that's a dry yeah. And the money you're
saving them the speaker as you're making up for in gas.

The son like all the arguments I had with it,
but you know, when it came down to it, after
my initial fifteen minutes of ranting and raving was over,
then it comes back to, look, all right, I'll do this,

so we drove to the guy's house and sure enough
he's got these giant speakers. Brod bought them, brought them

back and they barely fit in my car in order
to be able to bring him home.

So now he's in the process of buying an AMP
for him and he wants to get another speaker and

last night that Tyra Banks has been named the new

She's hosted America's Got Talent for two summers in a rown.
She's fabulous. She also created America's Next Top Model and

of vacation, what came in the mail, both of them.

Big Day. Yesterday, Murphy went for his MRI.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
We went yeah, yeah, uh, you know it. It was
an interesting experience.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
First of all, he forgot his mask, so I had
a we walk in into a medical facility during COVID
and I had to loan him one of mine and
mine has leopard print on it, so he looks precious.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
The big deal was that once you filled out the
paperwork and you had taken a little sedative that they
had given you, she says, come on back. She's like,
come on back, And so I ask can I come
back with him? And she says, you know you really,
if he needs you to, we'll call you.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
Like okay.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
So I'm sitting in the waiting room and TikTok, I
think is it five minutes that pass by.
Speaker 5 (23:04):
She came out.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
She says, I need you to come here.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
So, yeah, the thing is claustrophobia is my problem. This
was an open MRI. It just I know that I
can't do the one on the tube, the one that's open.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
So the held your hand. At least I was told
to talk to him.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Yeah, and that helped because the sedative wasn't doing anything.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
That's what it was weird about it. I mean, just
it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
So I'm really glad that Jodi came in there to
to you know, to hold my hand and you talk
to a point she said. She said, she can talk
to you, but you can't really respond because you can't move. Yeah, okay, So.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah, I started talking. But when the noises started happening
and I had a squeeze, I had.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
A mask on.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
I thought he could I thought you couldn't hear me.
So I stopped and I just, you know, held your hand,
and I don't know how many minutes it went. Do
you know how many minutes before you had to.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Well, yeah, so you know the little panic button is
the squeezy thing that they need to let you know
what's up. Sam, I had to squeeze it. Oh, so
it wasn't a success, No, no, I had I had
to back out of it. And you know, I was
doing really well there because I was probably going for
a good five to ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Yeah, I think it was more like three babes, sorry,
the whole hours.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
I do think that.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
The really sweet thing, though, was Jody wanted to empathize
with me, so she actually asked the attack if she
could get in the tube.

I wanted to see how bad it double. I wanted
to see how bad it was.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
So she got in the tube. The lady pushed the
button and went in there, and Jody said, I could
totally do this, no claustrophobia.

If you were an eighties kid, you know who the
brat pack are. And I want to tell you this.
Andrew McCarthy has signed a deal to publish his memoir.
He's already titled it called Bratt an Eighties Story.

was like, Hey, can we go buy my mom's house?
I have to get my eyebrow raiser. Sure, and I

Easy, women have been using them forever.

Yeah, it's got a brush and a raisor and you
just amazing.

So wait wait wait razor meaning like raise up or?

Oh okay, No, he's like you thought they got to
get some kind of cosmetic eyebrow raising.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Yeah, that's when I thought you were like combing your
eyebrows straight up. I'm like, why would you want to
raise your eyebrows?

You know, I always look perplexed.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
You know this makeup makeup bag, I haven't here all
the time. I have one of them in there, and
I rarely use it. I'm not very hairy, so I
don't have I rarely have to trim my mind.

Do you just like calmbing across the eyebrow and it
takes care of the long ones?
Speaker 1 (27:12):
No, you don't calm it across you'd rip off. It's
the razor, so you will actually lose hair if you
do that. You have to be strategic with it and targeted,
like there that one's long.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Od I do that now with Tweezers different.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
I had no idea. Yeah, if there was any such
tool as that.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
The only the only reason I don't use mine a
lot is because number one, I'm not I don't have.

To your eyebrow weird.

Though, yeah, I'm eyebrow weird. I don't like to do
it myself. If I ever have to get you know,
shaped up, I'd rather a professional do it.

Your stylist usually can do that for you. Also, you
know what I mean, does it?

Would you like me to trim the eyebrows which is
code word for cheese that's getting out of control? Please

If I ask, yes, I did not know this. That's cool.

That's why there's nothing unruly going on above my eyes.

In case you missed it earlier. If you're a new
parent or know somebody who is, Wow, there's a smart

I don't think that this could ever take the place
of a mom or dad picking up a crying baby
and consoling babies do need to be Hell, you can't
hold a baby too much. Don't get me started on that.

to put the baby down so you can sleep. So

your baby starts to cry, it kicks into motion and

will rock, hopefully rocking the baby back to sleep. It

What happened was this is before we even went to
the beach. I was binging it while packing, like I
had it on in the bedroom, and every time I'm
watching it, he would walk in the room and ask something,
and like you watched a couple of episodes of season
one and you cannot I literally paused it and said, Murphy,
this is the most complex show ever ever in the

history of shows. You cannot ask me these questions because
I'll have to sit down with you for an hour,
Like why is little Finger doing this?

Right now? What I just it was a simple question.
Why is he named little Finger?
Speaker 1 (30:33):
He came from the island called the Fingers. I'm pretty
sure that's the answer to that questions. It is so
exhilarating to rebinge. I highly read. It's been long enough now,
I highly recommend a rebinge on it because you know
how involved it is so exciting. I'm literally dancing around

the room. I'm at the end of season six right now.

Sam, you know what cracks me up about with Thrones though,
And this happened when Jody was watching it in real
time also, so there they go for long periods with
that dialogue, and it can sometimes get quiet, so it's
a little deceiving. I think I've got an opportunity to
go ask Jody a question or our talk or something
like that, and it's actually still in the middle of
the scene and no dialogue.

That doesn't mean things aren't happening. Dragons are flying, and
I think it's an awesome revenge and I'm excited to
be back in that world.
