stop partying and having your girlfriends over and offering other

(00:52):
residents alcohol.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
At ninety six years old.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
She tore up the letter, shared it on her TikTok
and her Instagram.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I had a few words. I paid twelve dollars a
month to live here. I could party if I My
girlfriends are coming over tonight. We're going to drink and
gossip party, but we do get rowdy. I can't help it.
I love to party.

Give her a follow.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
We also have.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
This from Justin. You guys are getting fussed at, especially Sam.
So last week we shared that Murphy and I are
feeding our dogs as they get older fresh pet food.
We switched from kibble to fresh, the soft kind that
we keep in the refrigerator, and we were talking about
it and Justin had suggested that we He says he
heats up his cat's food.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I thought that was so funny.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
We just thought it was bougie. We were just teasing,
like I draw the line there, just teasing. Yeah, So Justin.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Says, I knew Sam would have something it, but I
only microwave the leftover food that I store in the fridge.
Think about leftover meat most people don't enjoy that cold. Uh,
you need to pamper a boom more Sam.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
No, anyway, thank you guys for sharing my comment.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
It always becomes part of my wow when you do
have a great day, that's from justin, thank you kill.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
You I do too well, you know what I mean. Look,
it is true a dish tastes different when it's warm
versus when it's cold. And I'm sure dogs and cats.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
For your babies if you want to justin, I like it.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Gets cold kibble every day.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Coming up, Jody's got three things to know today at
six fifty and next, Sam is the food Dude.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Get introduce you to zero sugar waffles.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food dude.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Ego is releasing zero sugar waffles. Hmmm, how okay. They
replaced the sugar with monk fruit extract and stevia extract. Okay,
and supposedly when you toast them they're still fluffy on
the inside and crispy on the outside. We're getting regular
flavor and also blueberry flavor.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
But it's still something that has carbohydrate which turns to
sugar when you eat it. So just no, it's still
going to turn to sugar. It's not like eating sugar
free jello.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
It helps some, but anything that's like that.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah, yeah, I know two people who are not on
the marketing team.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Mury Murphy is a Type one diabetic. So we have
to know the difference between real zero sugar or YEA sugar.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
You learn what is really more about marketing?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, just keep it to ourselves.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
It also on the boxes eleven or twelve grams of protein.
These have been available in Canada for a while, but
you can order them on Amazon for eleven bucks. Now
they're going to be here for only five bucks.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Very good.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Yeah. How about new what they're bringing this flavor of
Oreo back limited edition just for the summer cinnamon bun flavor.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I didn't know about it. I never knew.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
I didn't know they had this out about That was
good ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Man, if you could pick one Oreo flavor because there
are too many, which one do you pick?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Selena Gomez, what's that flavor?

Speaker 4 (04:15):
It was like a Churo flavor chocolate, and it was
just thought you were going to say red velvet. That
one's good too. I haven't seen him in a while.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I bet you this cinnamon roll thing leans in that
churo direction.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Yes, cinnamon roll flavored cookie and cinnamon bun flavored cream.
And they're coming July the sixth, and they're only here
for the summer. Hey, here's a fun one for Fourth
of July. Popcorn Popcornopolis. They have Americ corn, red hite,
and blue popcorn. And it's got some cheese on it too.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Oh whoa, it's just sweet and salty. I bet I.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Guess so does it freaky out a little bit? Though?
When you see something blue it makes you wonder it's
just going back.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
They're using that blue algae and putting it all over. Okay,
this is one Why does no one developed this before.
It's a brand called fan Foods. I've never seen them before.
They're selling them at Target. But there are tortilla chips
in the shape of characters. There's a stitch tortilla ship okay,
but my favorite is the black one with black salt
that's in the shape of Darth Vader.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Oh yeah, how do you keep those from breaking in
the bag?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
You know, I don't know, don't I mean think of that.
We can have all kinds of shapes specific for parties. Yes,
Star Wars party.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I mean, how about grogue chip? Yeah, thank you food dude?

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Coming up next? Your Hollywood Outsider, Jody's Hollywood Outsider. I
don't know what's your favorite Will Ferrell character.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Is Talladega Knights.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
It's tough. There's something between sn L and the movies.
It's tough. Yeah. Elf is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
I know it's hard to pick a favorite.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
One, but I like Spirit Cheerleaders.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
What's funny is no matter what character he brings you,
he also brings you a little bit of himself because
his comedy is infused into everything. Well, there's a new
Will Ferrell character coming, and you're going to fall in
love with it. Netflix has released the trailer for this
new comedy series that's dropping ten episodes in July, where

(06:13):
he plays a former champion golf champion named Lonnie Hawkins.
He wants one last shot at glory and it's called
the Hawk, big shot Golfer.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I still am a big shot golfer. I just need
to get my groove back.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
So look, it's hysterical.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It definitely looks like it's kind of rated R just
so you know, it's not like Buddy the Elf exactly.
But what happens is he's a little bit washed up,
but he wants to come back, but he's facing off
against his rising star son. And by the way, Molly
Shannon plays the ex wife.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
She's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
It's called The Hawk ten episodes on Netflix July sixteenth.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
The Teacher, The Secret A secret.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
One of the greatest dinners, and that is it's true
with everything in life. If it's impromptu, there's something fantastic
about it because your expectations are low or nothing. So
I hope you know what story I'm about to tell.
So the other night, I was at my mom's really
late because I'm staying over at her house as much
as I possibly can. And Murphy was running late to

(07:20):
he had work and meetings and whatever you had. And
I roll into the house and it's late, and I'm
thinking about not even eating or just having cereal.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Oh, that's what I thought was gonna be like sandwich
night for me. I thought I was gonna be fending
for myself. Is this what you're talking about?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, And so I look in the refrigerator and I'm like, oh, wait,
we have bacon, we have eggs. Oh, and I know
we have bread for toast, and so you know what,
he's on the way, I'm dropping the bacon down in
the pan.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I did some scrambled eggs.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
You rolled in and you were like and by the
time I put it in front of you, he was like,
these are the best ects.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I've ever had.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
It smelled like waffle house when I walked in, because
you know, you don't expect to smell bread was when
you're walk in the house at night, you know. Yeah,
so yeah, it was. It was an avocado toast.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yeah, put avocado on the toast as we had that,
so and it was it was really delicious for me.
It was because I had zero expectations. I was thinking
of even skipping dinner because I don't like to eat late,
and then you had, you had. You thought you're gonna
be slapping to gather pieces of bread and whatever turkey
was left over, and it was so good. I don't

(08:25):
know that I can live up to that again next
time we have breakfast for dinner because of the impromptuness.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
I mean, I know that all of the context kind
of makes a meal a meal like that what you're saying,
but I don't know why I thought they were the
best eggs. Ever, yes I was hungry, but yes you
did the little soft scramble thing that you did.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
What I do is what I do with my eggs,
is I sort of fry scramble them. So I put
them in the pan first, and it looks like I'm
going to fry them, you know, it's like the yolk
is sitting there and oh, that must be fried. But
as soon as it starts to get the white, starts
to get a little softlid, I start scrambling, and so
you kind of with the scramble, you get a little
bit of that fantastic yellow softness in every bite.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
They're actually pretty too, They're pretty earth.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
I mean, ever since you started doing that, that's the
way that I make them now, I know. Well, but yeah,
the unexpected is perfect, especially when it's breakfast for dinner.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Or anything in life. Impromptu is fantastic. Enjoy some of
it this summer.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Number one, pretty dangerous heat wave expected to grip and
touch much of the eastern United States through the fourth
of July holiday weekend, So expect triple digit heat indexes
and they're saying, so this means more heat related illness,
and so experts are just saying, remember, stay hydrated, limit
your outdoor activity in the peak afternoon hours like three

(09:55):
and four PM. That's actually when it's most difficult on
your body.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
So that's the experts telling me to stay on the sofa,
good well.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Whatever, and never ever ever leave pets or children in
parked vehicles, and check on.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Older adults and those who are vulnerable.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Number two, for those who recently graduated college and can't
find work in their preferred major, A lot of side
hustles happening, so psych majors are doing research studies to
get paid. Interior design majors are flipping, buying, buying old
furniture and flipping it and selling it upcycling yeah, upcycling, yes,

(10:30):
even graphic designers doing extra side hustle work. You know,
do your side hustle in your major until you get
your foot in that door.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
And number three a reminder this.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Is one of the big weeks for vacations for Americans
this and next week, and the biggest day to travel
you know the roads, is Thursday, July second, so plan ahead,
leave early. A lot of Americans sixty million or so
going to be hitting the roads for a road trip.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
You're up to date. Things to know today.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Fourth of July is this weekend, so you know we're
going to talk about keeping your pets safe and calm
during fireworks.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
This is Jody's annual PSA actually bi annual because you
do it, of course, is that semi annual or buying
semi annual?

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Okay, thank you, just like the mattress sale exactly.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
So look the reason I do it's not just because
I have a special place in my heart for pets
and animals in general.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
It's because shelters will tell you that.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
You know, New Year's Eve, fourth of July, even Halloween
is a big night for pets to get lost, run away.
They get scared by all this abnormal stuff going on, sounds,
sits and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
It's more intense run away.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Yeah, more intense than a thunderstorm. When you think about
our youngest dog, Sparky. Are not youngest dog, our smallest dog, Sparky.
You can physically see him shake during a thunderstorm, which
is really sad, and so the same thing happens. It's
like the boomshounds are like times ten for him.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
They feel it too, So keep them in, keep them in,
keep them safe. You don't want them to run away
in fear and then they're end up in a shelter
or wherever somebody else grabs them or whatever.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Create a quiet.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Comfortable space for them and use white noise, like seclude
them in an area. We could do that with all
the speakers we have in the house, Murphy. We could
make it to where they're not even aware of fireworks
going on.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Well, think they're at the ocean.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
You're going to do that, Murphy.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I'm happy to do that as long as Jodie and
I can hear each other talking. It takes a lot
of noise to mask that out.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
We won't be home for fourth of July.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
We're gonna be gone, remember, so we have a pets
that are his fantastic.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah, and he probably would. He probably do.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
His house sitting while so he'll be there the whole time.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
You can also make sure you can go overboard and
cover the windows and things like that so they don't
even see it.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
I like that idea.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Close the curtains.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
This is a yeah, that's true. This is another idea.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Make sure they have some play or a long walk
sort of wear them out mentally and physically day of
before fireworks.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Yeah, because their their.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
State is more balanced when they've had exercise that they need.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
And then I've got to bring it up. I know
you used to do it for your dog Gus.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Sam the shirt, Oh, thundershirt either you know, buy invest
in a thundershirt which is made for a dog to
sort of make them feel like they're being held, or
wrap your own shirt around them.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Yeah. I mean, if like Gus was a lab, I
got to want a Mattie's smaller shirts from like a
five T or sixty.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
It's a nice and snug and kept him happy.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Yeah, and he lets you, he lets you put it on.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Yeah. In fact that time getting it off after him.
I want to believe it.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Oh, I thought you because it was just something to
think about now as the fourth is approaching.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Coming up next your morning pick me up.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Morning, pick me up time, let's go Sam.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, it's about Jonah, the disappointed.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Dog, the sad dog, the sad dog.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Now.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
I don't know if you've seen the video. It's gone
viral because of a football, I mean a baseball game.
Last week. It was bark at the Park at one
of the Marlins games last week.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Yes, so all the dogs were there and they ring
your dog to the park.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
The video and then the TV commentators were commenting on
it where they were showing this dog chowing down on
a hot dog and then over his shoulders another dog
sitting there with the saddest face like yeah, come, I
don't get it.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
And that's Jonah.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
He belongs to another family, right, and he's like he
has hot dog envy.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Since it went viral, the Marlins were like, we got
to find this dog, and they made wanted posters and everything,
so they found him. His name is Jonah, like you said.
His owner is named Peter, and he kind of described
everything that happened. There's a dog in front of us
at the game eating a hot dog, and Jonah was.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Just staring at that dog intently, like give me your
hot dog.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Everyone's mad at me for not giving him a hot dog.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Yeah, because it sounds like when you say lost dog,
the video makes you think it was an actual lost
dog by himself there, which he was not. He was
with his owner.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
He was with his owner just looking sad. But the owner, Peter, says,
he eventually did give him a hot dog. He likes
to eat turkey hot dogs, because he said if he
eats regular hot dogs, accidentally, not pretty at.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Okay, so that's why that didn't happen at the park.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Yeah, but he said he did steal a pretzel from
a kid like a few minutes before that. So all
we were seeing was the bad stuff. By the way, Jodah,
you're gonna like this. Jonah is a rescue dog. They
rescued him in Aruba.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
And here's Peter describing him. So this is Jonah.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
He's six.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
He's just the best dog.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
And it's always the same face, Like he has the
same face in all his photos. Don't let the face believe.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
It's really funny. And the video they show you the
right the face, he looks so.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Sad and jealous, and he looks like a mixed breed dog.
To me, he really really does. But certain dogs and
I feel like the more short hair they are, the
more expressive the faces.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Look.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Next time you see a pity, you're going to see
this big sort of blockhead and short short hair and
they have the sweetest, saddest faces.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
I think here's the picked me up part. They found
Jonah obviously yeah, they treated Jonah, or they're treating Jonah
to a big dream day at the park the next
Bark at the park. He's gonna have special seats and
hot dogs and everything else. I assume his owner gets
to go along. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah right.
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Outsider trending now.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Jody's Hollywood outsider Millie Bobby Brown in the news again today.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Helped me find him, kill him?

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Isn't she a bon Giovanni?

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Now she is Bonjo Bonjio, Jake bon Jovi.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
I know, I love to look at him.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
He looks like the perfect blend of John bon Jovi
and the wife Millie Bobby Brown. Remember last year she
filed a complaint against her Stranger Things co star David Harbor,
who played Hopper, who played her dad in the series.
Was so strange, And then a week later they on
the red carpet together making nice in the world. They understand.

(17:04):
I'm wondering now if we'll ever understand what happened. They
had some sort of dispute anyway, and they must have
ironed it all out because Netflix is bringing them back together.
They're going to do a spy drama. David Harbor is
going to play this guy named Matt Wolfe, a disgraced
former FBI agent who became a security consultant and he
gets pulled back into the world because his wait, wait

(17:28):
for it, a strange daughter played by Millie.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Bobby Brown Wow parallels right.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Is now an FBI agent herself. Oh wow, Okay, and
then he has to go get her and you know, he.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Has a certain set of skills something like that.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
No title yet, but they're working together again. Coming up next,
being grateful for a comfort food TV show. I want
to give a little update on my mom, who's at
home recovering from a pretty team major surgery. What was
three weeks ago now, I don't know, I've lost track

(18:04):
of the time something like that. But she is home
now and she's recovering, and you know that can be
a long slow road, and it actually is, and so
I'm over there as much as I can, like every day,
just helping her out in little ways. But I want
to just say I realized that I'm grateful for comfort

(18:25):
food TV shows because you know, in her recovery thought
she's going to be like in the bed a lot
or sitting up a lot. She's not being too too
active walking around a little bit, but we thought to
bring her magazines and make sure she has her phone
charged up because she likes to play games.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Well, she hasn't been interested in her phone at all,
and that's fine, and you know, magazines. She's barely cracked up,
like like many Yeah, and so one of the things
that she does love is she's got a couple of
comfort food TV shows, but the one that seems to
be bringing her the most joy it's on every time

(19:05):
I go over there. I never watched this show, but
I'm getting an eye full of it, a gutload of
it lately, and that is everybody loves Raymond ever Wait, oh.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Come on, you're practically fogged up the mirror with your.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Meantime.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
You didn't get the message even though I had to go.
No doubt it was a big show, but you and
I didn't, you know, watch it, and I think it
It landed right in the middle of about the time
you and I got married, and then the girls were.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Right, and so it is really classic family, funny sitcom stuff.
It is about I didn't know this.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
It is about families and life and just that some
of it's just so oh, this happens in my family too. Yeah,
so relatable. And so it's like a brand new show
to me, and it's always on. And I finally just
ask mom, like, you've got other services we share? We
added her to our Netflix account for this recovery and

(20:03):
I'm like, do you want to watch anything else? And
she's like, no, it's just comfort yeah, and she has
it on Yea, she has seen every episode. She'll even
tell me this one's funny, Jody.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
It's gonna be yelling, it's gonna be anger, don't fight it,
accept it.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
But she is laughing along with it even though she's
seen it. So I'm grateful for that comfort food TV
shows when you need to slow down in life.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Number One, the World Cup has given a big boost
to the local economies in those host cities. Restaurants and bars, though,
are hitting a little snag, and that's that international soccer
fans don't really tip the way we do. There's a
tip culture clash happening, and so a lot of restaurants
and bars in cities like New York and Kansas City
and Philadelphia, adding a twenty percent service fee onto every check,

(20:57):
because there are a lot of cultures that do not
tip the way we do.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
At all, or you can not take the way we
do or at all.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
And so just so you know, there's a culture clash
on that and some complaining on social media about it.
Number two, this is beautiful for summer vacations, and it's
coming back for concerts and summer parties and weddings.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Disposable cameras, I'm telling.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
You, disposable digital cameras or the ones. We have to
have it developed.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
The ones.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
You have to have it developed. Okay, our Phoebe loves
them too. You bring them along on a vacation. You
don't know how the pictures are going to come out.
You don't have it's a more authentic picture you get to.
You get the delayed whatever week or two later, the
novel fact.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Remember that.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
And so they're really back. They're trending. Go grab a
few and try it. Introduce it to the kids. They'll
have to learn some patience to do this. At TSA.
Number three, TSA sharing a Bucky's travel guide for World
Cup tourists. They just posted something funny soccer fans visiting
a very large gas station for the first time. Yes,
you can carry on barbecue sandwiches and beaver nuggets, but

(22:02):
an actual beaver. No. The reason they're seeing a lot
of Bucky stuff going home.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
You're up to date. Three things to know today. Join
the conversation anytime.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
You can text or call us eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ or you can send us an
email or a direct message. We have an email to
Murphysamonjody dot com from Eric Say it says, Hi, my
wife and I listen to.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Your show every day.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Thank you. Eric.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
You were talking the other day about a person with ADD,
which is my current nightmare, trying to keep track of things,
thoughts and ideas. I didn't say ADD, but we were
talking about Murphy with the distraction list and how good
it is because we all are in that space where
there's too much You can pick up a device and
get distracted one second later.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
From what you were doing. Yeah, I think everybody's mind.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
And if you truly have the ADD diagnosis, I think
that amplifies it. You know what I mean? All the
distractions today really amplify it.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Of course it does.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
So this goes on to read you're talking about that
trying to keep track of things, thoughts and ideas. I've
been thinking recently about getting aiglasses. My thought was that
a person like myself with add and coincidentally my wife
has it as well, we could potentially use AI to
keep track of my day by taking notes, keeping track
of my thoughts and ideas, and to help remind me

(23:28):
of tasks that I need to remember. However, AI technology
is currently on the more expensive side, and I don't
know if it works well enough to justify me spending
that kind of money currently, my wife and I would
love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this. Love
you guys, Eric and Jennifer. So that question is to you, Murphy,

(23:48):
because Murphy is the person who he dabbles with AI
in many ways.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
To be completely honest, though, I don't know AI glasses
other than the ones that I guess what our friend had,
the metaglasses, Yeah, the metaglasses. Metas about that, I don't
know if those are AI glasses or not. If that's
how those are used. I don't because I've never used
them before. But I do have some opinions for you
on the AI I know actor the cameras are built in.
I guess everything will come up on the screen in

(24:13):
front of you.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, you know, it sounds like a good idea if
you're trying to manage it anyway.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Yeah, I mean, look, I like the that's the power
of AI that actually can work well if you trust
it and you and you set it up in a
way where it's not like you're not going to be
sharing financial information and stuff like that your basic day
to day task. I can see how that would be helpful.
My problem is I would lose the glasses. I would
misplace them. Yeah, on your head, right exactly. But I'm

(24:40):
gonna have to look Eric, thank you for that. And
now I'm curious. I'm gonna have to look into it
and see more. But you know, look, I am a
believer in the safe adoption of AI for certain task.
It just can't be a replacement for everything in your life.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Man, you're still like a spokesperson for it. Murph, all right,
keep it coming.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
We love having you.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Long.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
Another mind blowing conversation with my mom on the weekend
This weekend.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
How is miss Judy?

Speaker 4 (25:04):
She's doing good. I don't know if you knew this,
but she had did they care where she works. They
had cut her back the three days a week.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Why why they cut her back?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Because of why?

Speaker 4 (25:15):
I think financial reasons. Oh it's hard to get a
straight answer.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
You're eighty six years old, man, you have been here
for fifty years. Go home.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
But she was so happy because they got her back
to five days a week. So she's back working full time.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
What is that's it's a full time job. She works
like a full day.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Yeah, she works with full babies. Yeah, well yeah, I
think she's working with the two and three year olds.
Oh and she loves them too, by the way, because
she says, you out there shopping at Walmart and they
see you, and they got miss Judy. Miss Judy. She
loves that one.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Oh got.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
But the thing I found out about her this weekend
is that when she was in high school, she was
on the basketball team.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
You never knew this about your mother.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
She's eighty six. I have never heard this story once
in my life.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
The yearbook photo of her on her basketball team.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
If there are, I don't have her yearbooks. I don't
know if she even has her yearbooks.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Was she good? What's position did she play?

Speaker 4 (26:07):
She played guard? Oh? Yeah, and I didn't. I didn't
want to ask, were you're good? I just like, why
not tell me the story? She played three years on
the team. Wow, So I mean at some point she
had to be a starter, the first stringer to zoom.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
I mean that doesn't mean she is. It depends on
how deep the bench was.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
When you learn stuff about your parents as it changed
your view. Because it's like, my mom has never as
far as I've known, as long as i've known her,
which would be my whole life, she's never been athletic.
She never got out there and threw the ball with us,
or through the frisbee or did anything like that.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Just because she didn't do that with you, didn't mean
doesn't mean she didn't have it in her.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
She actually is athletic.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
She's eighty what working at a daycare chasing two and
three year olds every day.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
That's the kind of job you go home and take
a nap after. Not her, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
She goes home and she has to go out and
run to the grocery and do other stuff.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
She's a dynamo.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Well, you know, Jody played basketball in middle school, so
middle an high. Yeah, a lot of times it starts
in pe and sometimes it ends after high school.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
You know, the next time I'm visiting at home, I'm
bringing the basketball. I'm gonna see what she's got.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
She's gonna put you to shape.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Break over a yearbook too.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yeah, coming up next to your Hollywood outsider, Jody's Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
It's a big summer at the movies, but aliens and
superheroes and capes can't seem to take on these toys
that we love so much.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
We were playing none the world started changing. O are
we getting donated?

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Toy Story five was number one at the box office
again this weekend, taking on I mean, Supergirl debuted in
the second place. As we had heard about some of
the reviews not being so great. I think give her
a chance. I'm gonna say this, I don't think Steven
Spielberg saw that saw this coming with his disclosure day.

(28:02):
That disclosure Day movie is like down at the fifth place.
Oh really, sixth place?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Well against Toy Story. I mean, come on this really.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
But he Spielberg worked on this movie for years and
they said that this.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Was his masterpiece.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
It still is. Yeah, I know, it's just got competition.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
The noise in the throat there from Emily Blunt.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
We're jalt But anyway, Disclosure Day is still playing.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
I might want to, you know, check it before before
it goes before it goes away.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Also, Rob Lowe had a little something to say on
The Kelly Clarkson Show recently, and that's that they are
working on. He really wants to do a Saint Elmo's
Fire sequel.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
All I can remember is the seven of Us always
together because as.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
He knows, people love it. It's a snapshot of your twenties.
Once they get the script right, we're going to get
the movie.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Sam Scott, Music News a lot.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Of Richie has had to put a couple of concerts
on his schedule.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Last week Jody and Three Things to Know You told
us that he had to cancel the well halfway through
his first night concert on the other night in Saint
Paul with Earth Wind and Fire It's the singer song
all night Long tour. He was having trouble.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
He got dizzy.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Dizzy, Yeah, he was dizzy. So he had to sit
down during a couple of songs, and even when he
sat down on the piano to play some songs, he's
just like I can't go.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
I believe.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Yeah, they tried to take a fifteen minute break and
the band kept playing, but then they came out and said,
Lionel's not feeling good, so he's having to sit out here.
He says, under advisement by doctors. He's been advised to
rest and return to full health. So a couple of
the shows over the weekend were canceled. He's got another
one tomorrow night, or they all have another one tomorrow
night in Pittsburgh, so we'll have to see if that

(29:48):
one's rescheduled.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
So they didn't say what it is. He just said
he's not doing not up to par right now.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
All right, he said, In fact, during the show, he said,
when you're feeling dizzy, you sit down.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Smart music documentary coming to HBO on jay Z. All right,
this is kind of cool. An eight part documentary and
HBO Max is going to come in the fall this year.
Directed by legendary music producer Rick Rubin. He also did
the one with Paul McCartney. It's kind of celebrating. Jay
Z's celebrating his thirtieth anniversary of his debut album this year. Yes,

(30:21):
he's doing two like full album concerts at Yankee Stadium.
So this is part of it. We'll get it in
the fall. Don't have a date yet, but as soon
as we get it, we'll let you know. Here's a
little snippet of it.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Everyone had the same experience, except I was the one.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
I could stand on the soapbox and like articulate what
we were going through. Yes, that's a lot of story
to tell right there.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
And over the weekend, Alan Jackson had the final concert,
you know, the farewell show in Nashville. Both the Lukes
were there, Laney Carrie, Eric Church was there. NBC recorded it.
They're going to play it back later this year.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
But they also opened up a new Alan Jackson museum
and he put out his life last song. He and
his wife have been together fifty years. When he met her,
she was a cheerleader in high school and she was
working on a routine for the Orleans song still the one,
Oh so Oh for his fiftieth year. He's like, I'm
going to rerecord the song just for my wife.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Dude, still don't one.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
I want to talk to him and Ben Still the
one that turns my head.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Well, he explained it because I thought he was trying
to do the Keith Urban Yacht right.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
It still sounds good though, yes,
