Speaker 1 (00:02):
And Sam. I don't know if you noticed. Did you
watch the Golden Globes over the weekend? I watched pieces
of it. Did you see What's back? What's coming back now?
Geico ran the hump Day commercial?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Oh yeah, like the original.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Mike Mike, Mike, Yeah, it's hump Day. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
I don't know if it was the original, but it's
definitely back.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
It was absolutely it was the original commercial. It was
like a call there was Mike, are we going back
in time five years?
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's good.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Okay, so it is hump Day.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
It was funny commercial. I mean, yeah, give it a
little rest bringing back.
Speaker 5 (00:32):
Absolutely, use it because it works. Absolutely is actually running
all their retro commercials.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
People are trying to pick.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Their favorite guy from the oki. It's been a series
of one. Okay, thank you for the heads up. That
means there's a new Maybe there's a new one coming
for super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, maybe there is.
Speaker 6 (00:47):
True.
Speaker 7 (00:47):
It's the only reason to launch something now to me
in commercial land.
Speaker 8 (00:51):
Okay, see, I didn't know that they were doing that.
Another reason to watch TV now we understand. Okay, well
it is hump Day. We've established that. I want to
say they thank you to everybody. Who's been calling and
keep calling. Let us know what your teenager driver rules are.
If you've got teenagers who drive, I know you have rules.
What's funny is the one that we've laid down is
(01:11):
Taylor's new to having her license.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
And a little bit more handed.
Speaker 7 (01:16):
One of the ones that we've laid down is no
you know friends in the car yet she has already
challenged me on that a couple of times.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Well, isn't Phoebe my friend?
Speaker 7 (01:23):
Phoebe's my best friend, and you let me take Phoebe
somewhere okay Exhibit A. And then another question she asked
me was like, uh, can I bring my friend Roger
to get a haircut this week?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm thinking, what's rule number one?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
I've seen Roger's hair, he doesn't need a cut.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Next time it was great.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Rule number two is see rule number one. Yeah, I
haven't had any of that challenging Jody. I don't know
why she hasn't challenged me. She's challenged.
Speaker 7 (01:49):
I guess she knows you're more I don't know. Maybe
she finds me a little bit more workable. I wear
a T shirt that says no, okay, look, give us
a call anytime. Eight seven to seven, three to one
zero four MSJ. We have some voicemail also from overnight,
and we we'll get to those this morning as well.
Speaker 9 (02:06):
Coming up with Murphy, Sam.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Gonna get I'll let you know about some of the
new stuff at the Consumer Electronic Show. On Murphy, there's
a new belt that's coming out that's gonna make you
aware when you're eating too much food.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Really, that sounds first.
Speaker 7 (02:20):
Hollywood Outside of the Morning is next. Margot Robbie, one
of your favorite Hollywood chicks, Sam getting ready for a
new leading.
Speaker 9 (02:27):
Role Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 7 (02:32):
Sam one of your favorite ladies in Hollywood. Margot Robbie
is back at it again. And by the way, did
you ever see it?
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Tanya?
Speaker 9 (02:39):
I was the best figure skater in the world.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I saw this movie.
Speaker 7 (02:42):
Okay, I never did, and I regret it, like every
time I remember, I want.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
To see it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
It was very good.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
My daughter Taylor saw it and came home. She was like,
oh my gosh, this stuff really happened. I'm like, this
stuff really happened.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
It's one of those ones where you're watch and go, Okay,
did this really happen this way? Or is it embellished?
Which I'm sure it is for.
Speaker 7 (02:59):
Hollywood, somewhat embellished, but we all watched it in fold.
Her mother, I mean, I know she wont awards for it,
and rightly said Margot.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Robbie was great. The whole movie is just hilarious.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
You didn't know Margot Robbie could do that, digit I
know she can do anything apparently. So now the news
is that Margot Robbie has stepped in to star in
the live action Barbie movie along with her production company
and Mattel.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Now.
Speaker 7 (03:23):
Look, Amy Schumer was scheduled to be a part of
this at first, and Amy Schumer really wanted to because
she loved the script. Apparently it's really fun and there's
a decent message and all that kind of stuff. And
Amy Schumer had to back out because of scheduling. She
didn't want to back out, but she backed out it. Well,
she's having a baby now too and scheduling stuff. So
Margot Robbie steps in and excited to bring it on
(03:47):
screen a fresh and relevant way for today's audiences.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
She kind of looks like a living Barbie doll. Just
gonna say, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
It's true love to know who Ken's going to be.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Ah Michael Keaton could always yeah he was good going by, Okay, yeah,
I also wanted to let you know.
Speaker 7 (04:04):
I don't know if you saw this or not, but
Netflix has announced this animated anthology series from David Fincher
and Tim Miller. Did you hear about that Tim Miller
from Deadpool? And then David Fincher from all this good
scary stuff called Love, Death and Robots. But it's don't
let animated get in your way. It's not for children.
It's targeted at adults. The killer segment will be five
(04:26):
to fifteen minutes long. Some of these stories are about love,
some are about sci fi world and fantasy. Some of
them are funny. Some of them are about nerds and
different people in Hollywood get to produce each different one
sounds like so, I mean, I'm not I've never unless
you're talking Bob's Burgers. I'm not the biggest fan of
(04:47):
animation for you know, you know, anything older than like
five years old.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
But this is very different.
Speaker 7 (04:57):
Love Death and Robots coming to Netflix up to date
with Shoty's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
You've heard about smartphones and smart homes and smart speakers. Well,
how about a smart belt that'll help you watch what
you eat that's coming up next.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Reach out to us anytime, Facebook, Instagram, you can do that.
You can call it call us old School eight seven
seven three one oh four msj or text at number two.
There's so many different ways to get ahold of us.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Hey, you know the CEES going on this week in
Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
That's right, Jody.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
What's the CEES.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Consumer Electronics Show?
Speaker 4 (05:31):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
You guys need to go to one year. We just
send you.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
I just want to go for the freebies and stuff too.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
You think the goodie bags all the slag bag's got
to have something in it good.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
You'd come home with so much junk.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
I got the highlights so far, the cool stuff, all right.
The remote suitcase. This is going to cost you eight
hundred bucks. Okay, you hold the handle. It's just like
one of it's a hard case suitcase.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
It's got wheels.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
You pull the handle up and you hold it and
you stand there and it's gonna it's gonna scan. You
do a little facial recognition on you so it knows
it's you that it belongs to. And then you walk
through the airport and it goes up to six miles
an hour. You don't even have to pull it. It
just travels along with you.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
That's ridiculous. And what if somebody else tries to get it?
Speaker 4 (06:09):
But wait, there's more. If somebody else tries to steal it,
it notifies your phone Okay, hey I'm being stolen.
Speaker 7 (06:16):
Okay, But you have to put it on when you
check it, and they're gonna load it on the plane
for you have to put it in a different mode.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well that's my question is you know, is this thing
gonna be slung onto a plane and damage before you
know it?
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Again, just because you can do something technologically does not mean.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
But no, Like I can't tell you many back aches
I've had walking through an airport. I would love for
my suitcase to follow me.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Now it goes up to six miles an hour. I
don't know if that includes like you're about to miss
your jet and you're gonna run. There's also the smart
belt for two hundred dollars. This is a belt that
will detect your potential falls by the way you're walking.
You know, if you start to h it's gonna I don't.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Know what to do. I don't know. I don't know
if it's gonna go warning warning, right.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
But it also if you eat too much and it
starts feeling the pressure on the belly, it will send
you a notification on your app. Hey, slow down, bud,
you're eating too much.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Once it knows you've eaten too much, isn't it too
late at that point?
Speaker 7 (07:08):
It is, because but by the time your belt starts
to feel it, it's already in your body. What was
the line, Just because you can do something technologically does
not mean you should.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
All right, And just for the diabetics, are there any
diabetics in the road?
Speaker 6 (07:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, right over here, Sam for.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Five hundred dollars the arabetic. It looks like a watch.
You put it on your wrist and it senses your
blood sugar based on your breath. No more finger no
more pricking your fingers. Yeah you can, I guess you
breathe into it now. It hasn't been approved yet by
the Yeah, but I hope to have that by the
end of the year.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
One small technical all right.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
Coming up with Murphy's eight seven seven three one zero
four MSJ anytime you want to jump in and join us,
And when we miss your calls and you leave us voicemails,
well we check those two.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
That's next.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Don't ever miss a thing. The Murphy Same with Jody
podcast is a way that you can catch up on
the show, you know later on anything that you missed here.
Plus we do something extra called the Murphy Salmon Jody
after the show podcasts both I'm online waiting.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
For you okay eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ.
And we've said, look, if you've got teenagers that drive,
we know you have rules, so we'd love to hear
your rules.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
We'll tell you ours.
Speaker 7 (08:18):
Like one, our really number one rule right now is
no friends in the car yet. And because we know
that's that's the big ask, that's the big hope for
our oldest tailor. But we're just whatever, holding steady to
not yet.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
All right. You remember when Angel called us yesterday. He
said that muscle memory, you know, build once you start
to become more familiar with your car, and it kind
of happens reflexively. You can have you're less distracted and exactly,
but when you're first starting that's rough.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
I'm kind of glad to see y'all going through this
with your oldest tailor. Why Sam, Because you and I
Jodie have talked a lot about how Taylor and Jack
are similar behaviors and mannerisms and stuff, and so it's
like by you guys going through and I'm like, okay,
I got to watch out for that one. It's Jack's turn,
because it's just about to be Jack's turn.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
He's fixing right.
Speaker 7 (09:05):
I think we have adequately explained to her how you know,
important this can be.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
You know how Murphy is.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Yeah, and I'm really proud of her. I mean, she's
really done well. And just once you get to a
place where finally there's a little bit of a comfort
and control of the car and comfortable with the road
you're driving on, you get to a place where it
gets a lot easier. But you already know that you've
got two of your songs that you already did this with. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (09:27):
Yeah, there's no way to do it except to do it.
You don't get the experience without doing it, which is
the trick back.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Yeah, my two oldest God knows who they violate.
Speaker 7 (09:34):
Now, okay eight seven seven three one zero four MSJA,
we had a bunch of voicemail come in, so let's
grab some Murphy, Sam and Judy twenty four hour voicemail.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yes, I have an idea for the new driver. When
my son started driving, he would text me or call
me when he was leaving to come home, and he
would text and call me when he arrived where he
was going. And the funniest thing was when he came
home from college when he was like twenty one, he
was still doing it. So I stuck with him forever.
But it made me have a peace of mind knowing
(10:06):
that A he got there and b he was coming home.
All right, love your show, listen every day, bye bye.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Thank you for that the voicemail.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
I told you my mom still asked me to do
that too.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I mean, I'll always be a little boy, so I
love that.
Speaker 7 (10:18):
It's also it's love. When somebody asks you to do that,
it's it's also just love. So if you can do it,
you should do it.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Once a mama, always a mama.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
So true.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
Yesterday afternoon, when I was in carpool getting Phoebe is
when I got the text from Taylor leaving.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
So my little.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
Prayers went up, and you know, my anxiety went up
a little little bit. Thanks for calling. Give us that
shout out anytime. Eight seven seven three one zero for M.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
SJ.
Speaker 9 (10:41):
Coming up next with Murphy's Sam and Jody.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Let's switch to apps.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
You heard about the dad who created an app so
that if your kids don't respond, they have to respond.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
That's we'll tell you about that next. Sam.
Speaker 7 (10:54):
I think you're gonna like this. Have you heard about
this app called Reply Asap? No app by a dad
because he was having problems getting his kids to respond
back to him.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Been there?
Speaker 9 (11:07):
Happy?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I could use that.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
Yeah, I feel teenagers, Murphy. We don't have that problem
anymore with our girls. But I think because in the beginning,
and I do distinctly remember it that when I didn't
get a text back, I explained, hey, we pay for
this phone. This is really not your phone. It's our phone.
And when I respond to you, I mean when I
(11:30):
text you, if you don't respond back, I'm coming to
look for you, you know, because it was early on
when they had to be away for cheercamp or whatever,
and so they do respond.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
So I don't think we would have to use this, Murphy,
which is good.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Funny because Jack's mom and I just had this conversation
with him. He's fifteen and he doesn't respond, and we
tried to explain to it when someone sends you something,
it's courtesy to respond, but you didn't ask a question anyway,
it does. It doesn't matter if there's a question, just
respond to let me know you got it right.
Speaker 7 (11:57):
It's a part of communication, no matter that vehicle, no
matter if it's on an app or an email or
in look, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
You do respond.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
So I'm sitting here, I'm looking at the app in
the app store, and I'm looking at some of the
reviews and comments, and so it's about a fifty to
fifty people like it.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
People don't want to you.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And so one person says, this is the opposite of
good parenting.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
Right, because you really need to instill and then what
you're saying, Sam, teach them that you respond, don't force
them to. But this is what the app does. It
can freeze your kid's phone, even sound and alarm when
the phone's in silent mode, forcing them to reply to
your parents, you know, before the phone gets released to
be used again.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
That's a genius.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
There are some that believe that spouses or others.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Spouses can use it to they.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Want to be controlling, might abuse it. There's a lot
of un stars here. I want to look at some
of the ones that say.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
The app's fault if you have a controlling well.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
And actually they go on to say the app maker says, look,
you know, two people have to agree to use it.
It's not like you.
Speaker 7 (12:56):
Two way straight. Seventy five thousand downloads already and it's
brand new. Reply a SAP is what it's called.
Speaker 9 (13:03):
Coming up, Hollywood.
Speaker 7 (13:05):
I let you know what one a head honchos that
HBO has to say about season eight, the final season
of Game of Thrones, because he's seen them all already.
Speaker 9 (13:15):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
I've got Game of Thrones news, and it's not just
about that little snippet that HBO gave the world this week. Chris, Hey,
that's two seconds of Sansa telling Danaris and John Snow that, Hey,
Winterfell is yours. And that's the first snippet that fans
have seen of season eight, the up and coming final season,
(13:37):
not just she says Grace, Oh, that's right. That's that's
like bending the knee.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
You're right, bending the knee.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
That's true.
Speaker 7 (13:45):
Okay, I have more, little, little bit more Game of
Thrones news. The HBO CEO was at the Golden Globes
and of course there's there. Weren't really like a lot
of HBO awards except for Sharp Objects Patricia barkson, Yeah,
she won for Sharp Objects.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Man.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
She was good in that and certainly deserved it. It
wasn't a big game of throne tonight, but he was there.
So everybody's like, what's going on? What do you know
about season eight? Because we you know, it's in three
months that we actually get it. It's his no now,
it's he's the CEO of HBO, so it might as
well just be his job to keep the hype going.
But he did say this that he has seen all
(14:23):
of the six episodes and is said he saw them
all without CGI and he's still in awe. Oh. He said,
they're not episodes, they're like six movies. And I totally
believe that that's good. The last season to me, was
like a bunch of little movies.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Well yeah, but they had talked about the last season
being longer than the one hour you know shows each
episode being longer than.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
I I'm not just talking about just time though, Sam,
I mean just in the scope of oh beautiful it is,
and now all the big things that can happen, like
one big thing and then another big thing and oh
my gosh, I didn't know a dragon could do that.
HBO has not still given the world a specific date
though in April, just sometime in April.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Something in April Fool's Day would be nice.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
It's okay, let me kick it off. That means we
can get the latest thing with maherschela Ali out the.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
Way True Detective season three, that one can watch our
True Detectives and be done with that and then move on.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Handler I won more quickie quickie HBO.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
A bunch of new actors names that you don't know
yet have been cast though for the Game of Thrones
prequel pilot, which means that is full steam ahead as well.
So I guess you can get into that world for
a really long time, just not with John Snow. And
maybe they'll be dragons.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Maybe there won't be dragon.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
By the way, Chris Rock is also not interested in
hosting the Oscars, he said this week, and I've forgotten
that he hosted it twice in two thousand and five
and twenty sixteen.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Do you remember him hosting it twice?
Speaker 1 (15:49):
No, he did it once.
Speaker 7 (15:49):
I thought it was at least I thought it was
just once. He said he couldn't say anything. He couldn't
be himself right now in this climate, so he's not
interested either. Coming up in your next Hollywood outside of
this morning around seven fifty five, we're gonna get that
Barbie movie Sam up.
Speaker 10 (16:06):
To date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Check out back in the groove of food online.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
You know what it means, right, get you back in
the groove to stop holiday eating. Some very good lean recipes,
including my creamy artichoke soup which we're having that again.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Zoom Murphy. You know it.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
I loved it.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Go grab it all good.
Speaker 7 (16:26):
Murphy Samon Jody dot com. And there's a link also
on our Facebook page.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
You know it is Wednesday, and thanks to producer Chad,
we know now why Guy Cos brought back the Home
Day commercial. Mike Mike, Mike, Mike, What day is it?
Speaker 6 (16:37):
Mike?
Speaker 7 (16:40):
Yeah, we thought it the other night, and it's like
they're releasing all of them again, and I think it
must be in anticipation of a new Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:49):
I don't know why you wouldn't pick the Camel. I mean,
come on, maybe there's a new camp. There'll be a
new Camel commercial.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So great, might say.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Something other than Super Bowl Sunday.
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Yeah, right right, okay eight seven seven three one zero
four MSJ anytime you want to join us. We love
to hear from you, and we've missed calls because it's
been so busy lately, and that's great. We like to
dig into the twenty four hour voicemail. We've been asking
about your teenager driver rules. If you've got teenagers who drive,
we know you have rules, So let's go grab some message.
Speaker 9 (17:20):
Murphy, Sam and Judy twenty four hour voicemail.
Speaker 11 (17:23):
Hello, my name is Lana, and I'm calling about what
to tell your teenage daughter when she starts driving. A
girlfriend of mine told her two girls to drive like
everyone around you is a loved one. I thought that
was worth adding.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Oh that is awesome, Lenna, thank you for that bushmail.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
That's a good one.
Speaker 7 (17:41):
You know everybody around me Now it's I'm so much
more aware, actually maybe more empathetic that I realize that
there are new drivers all the time too. You know,
you just assume, oh that guy's trying to what's he doing.
It's like maybe he or she or they're new.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Now you sound like Murphy.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
It's funny because I probably should have told Taylor in
undrive like their loved ones, because I did the opposite
to them. They don't know what they're doing. But isn't
that with the defensive driving is? But I get that
what Landa is saying is drive with compassion and you
won't get all steamed up and yelling. And it's true
because really the only person you wind up hurting is
yourself when you do that.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
So we all hold hands today. It's true though, Thank
you for that. Call us anytime eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ coming.
Speaker 9 (18:27):
Up with Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
All right, Sam, I'm gonna tell you a sweet story
coming up next about something Murphy did last night. This
is what women want. This is why all the right things.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
We'll do that next.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
We'd like to keep things simple around here, and so
there's something after the show that we do. It's called Murphy,
Sam and Jody after the show see Simple. It's only
on the podcast and you can google it and find
it online.
Speaker 7 (18:52):
We had a moment at the house last night and
it was so sweet. I have to share it. Men
of the world, this is what women want. Ladies of
the world, you're gonna love this. You're gonna love Murphy evenmore.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Oh, I had something to do with this.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
You don't even remember how sweet this was.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
The put socks on you again?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
No, he didn't put socks on.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
That's favorite things every winter is to put you know her?
Speaker 2 (19:13):
So what Okay, Okay, you don't.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
Maybe you don't remember this, And once I start to
tell the story, maybe you will. Maybe you don't realize
how important this is to me. This was such a
cool moment. So you're in the back doing stuff in
your closet, probably laying clothes out for tomorrow or or
the next day or whatever. And I'm walking in and
down the hall. Taylor and Phoebe are playing their ukuleles
and singing. I think they were singing Queen or I
(19:38):
can't remember what it was.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Actually she was singing killing me softly, that's right, ROBERTA.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Right, So whatever.
Speaker 7 (19:47):
They just love to pick up songs, and they're discovering
new music all the time, and then they just start
doing it.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
And I said to you, so you know what I'm
about to tell you.
Speaker 7 (19:55):
I said to you, God, what are we gonna do
when that's no longer are in the house? Those sounds,
because you know, We're going through a lot of changes
at the house right now. Taylor's driving now, she'll be
a senior in high school next year, and we're just
watching these things change, realizing the change will continue.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yes, so I said, god, and.
Speaker 7 (20:15):
I mean it, What are we going to do when
those girls are not down the hall anymore and they
get on with their lives. It's going to be so
quiet and sad around here. And so I'm standing right there.
We hug each other, kind of feeling that, you know, that,
that feeling together, and then you say, do you.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Remember what you said to me?
Speaker 1 (20:33):
No, I don't.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Oh my god, I'm going to.
Speaker 7 (20:37):
You said, it's all right, we'll just get more dogs, baby.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
You know me.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
And when you said that, I felt okay. As soon
as you said that, I felt okay, You're right, we
will get more dogs.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Obviously we are parents go through that and we're still Look,
we're years away from empty nest. But you know, it
just does.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
I'm not slowing down. It's not slowing down, and you know,
they're just growing so much. And I just winter winner.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
I think it's funny because it's like you said it.
Now she's going to hold you to it.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
No, I don't have you said, I don't have to
hold into it.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Seen as we have or right now. I wonder if
I should set parameters on this.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
No, just enjoy the moment. You won that moment.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Thank you.
Speaker 9 (21:23):
I'm coming up next with Murphy's Sam and Josie.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
Speaking of the teenagers driving. If you've got teenagers who drive,

Kids.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
We want to hear about your rules to help each other.
Speaker 7 (22:01):
You know.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Hey, what's up, Donna?
Speaker 6 (22:04):
Hey? Is this Tony?
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yeah? How you doing okay?
Speaker 9 (22:08):
Great?
Speaker 6 (22:08):
I think you are wonderful, by the way, Well.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Thank you for that. You're sweet.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
And Sam is good too.
Speaker 6 (22:15):
Sam is adorable, that's all he Bury's good too.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Well, thank you.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
I did have a comment about the defensive driving roles. Yes,
I'm from Boston and there's a lot of snow up there.
I had to teach my daughter how to drive in
the snow and in the dark and in the rain
because it's very scary. Yeah, they need to get some practice.
That is really really important. Yeah my son, Yeah, my
(22:44):
son did have an accident in the rain because he
wasn't used to it. This is when he was about nineteen.
It was since my daughter. My daughter was seventeen when
I taught her driving the snow and she did fine,
and to this date she does fine.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
That's wonderful. See, just regular driving, regular driving.
Speaker 7 (23:04):
It's it's just I'm when I tell you, I'm not
okay with it yet. I'm not celebrating that she's taken
this burden from me or whatever, because I'm uneasy when
I know she's on the road and maybe this is
my new normal.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I don't know yet. Murphy is the same.
Speaker 6 (23:21):
Yeah, it'll get better, it will. It will definitely get better.
Speaker 7 (23:26):
Right with the more experience she gets. I know that
will be the case. But that's just not where we
are right now.
Speaker 6 (23:32):
Look. I hope, I hope you did.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
You did I appreciate you. Just hearing from anybody helps us,
you know, Hey, kid, good.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Thank you done. We really appreciate the.
Speaker 7 (23:41):
Call my heart eight seven seven three one zero four
ms j give us a call anytime.
Speaker 9 (23:47):
Yeah, Sam has music news.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Hey Jody, how do you feel about Aerosmith and Bruno
Mahers performing for the super Bowl? Coming up?
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Is that for real?
Speaker 4 (23:55):
And I'll tell you how I'll coming up?
Speaker 9 (23:59):
Sam's got music.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Wow, it looks like the first ever bud Light Music
Fest for Super Bowl fifty three is lined up all
their performers. Now, this has nothing to do with Maroon
five performing at halftime.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
What is separate like outside the gates.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
This is going to be for the three days leading
up to super Bowl. Okay, the first day January thirty first,
they're going to have Ludacris and Migos. On Saturday, this
is I mean on Friday, the February, the first Aerosmith
is going to be performer. Awesome, what special guest post Malone?
Speaker 2 (24:29):
So wow?
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Huge And it gets even bigger on Saturday, the day
before the super Bowl, it's going to be Bruno Mars
and Cardi B. You know they had Finesse came out
a while back.
Speaker 7 (24:41):
And she had to back out of that tour. They
didn't get to perform together as much as they wanted.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
See, this is good.
Speaker 7 (24:46):
Robert loves this song. He's like that new ninety what's
that song? Nineties song? I'm like, that's not a.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Ninety Yeah, his ode to that, you know, it's funny.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
They have also announced that they're putting out another song together.
It's us to come out on the twenty fifth, I believe.
So that means they could probably performed that one at
the at the fest. There don't know anything about this
band on TV. It's probably one of those you got
to be there in Atlanta near.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
The everything you can find anything on video.
Speaker 9 (25:09):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Yeah, yeah, they'll be phone videos and all that.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
Right.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
I've told you this a while back about the Elvis
All Star Tribute concert that's coming up where they they're
kind of tributing the sixty eight TV Comeback special, and
they have gotten so many people lined up for this.
They got Ed Sheeran, they got Sean Mendez, Blake Shelton,
j Lo, Carrie Underwe, I mean everybody who's anybody.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Everybody wants to be a part of it.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
You remember this special, it was like on that little
tiny stage that Elvis was on with the band, it
was like a circle.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Right in the round.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I noticed anything but black leather.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
They've recreated the stage and that's how the whole special
is going to air. It's going to be on February seventeenth,
two hours on NBC. I've got a rundown on some
of the folks that are going to be performing. Burn
in Love by Keith Urban.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Wow, get warm in here with that.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Ed Sharon's gonna do Help Falling in Love. Darius Rutger
is doing one Night. Jlo is going to do Heartbreak Hotel.
That'll be an interesting twist.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah, he is gonna Jlo that up. It's gonna be
hot up in there.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Blue swaite shoes from Adam Lambert and he says, what
they've recorded this back in October. He did wear blue
sweede shoes for it.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
So that should be fun.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Josh Groved he's gonna do It's Now or Never, you know,
the operatic one perfect for him. And Sewn Mendez doing
hound Dog Nothing.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
This will see this is gonna be fun.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Oh my gosh, give me the date again.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
February seventeenth, NBC, two hours, Priscilla's going to be there,
Lisa Marie is going to be there as well.
Speaker 7 (26:39):
Murphy, Sam Joy Music News All right, coming up next,
I'm gonna let everybody in on Murphy and Sam's continued
romance and while you guys were calling each other over
the holidays, ridiculousness, Murphy, we're married, but there's another romance
going on here. There's a try there's a love triangle happening,
(27:00):
is Sam and Murphy and your romance, and it really
was cute. Actually, I guess over the holidays when I
guess Sam Murphy's may have started missing you because he
started doing something with Alexa and couldn't wait to tell you.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Or was it the opposite, there's the other way around.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Yeah, oh oh see, I mean just for anybody it
doesn't know, Sam and I have actually known each other
longer than Jody and I've known each other.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
So yeah, and so you know it's this fast.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
There's always been this synchronization thing.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, you get into.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
So Sam sends me a video.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Well wait, wait, let's back it up a little further.
It actually started before we left for the holidays. Oh
did it when you said that you had hooked up
one of your little smart plugs to your Christmas tree.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Yes, yes, I had to be like Murphy and I
had to buy a smart plug.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Did you say, Yeah, wasn't it cool? It was great?
Speaker 4 (27:50):
You say, Alexa, turn off the Christmas tree. Poof goes off,
comes back on. However you wanted to do it, yeah,
But I couldn't leave it there. I had to go
a step further and I ordered a couple more to
see what else I could do in the house.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Right, And this is so funny. The night that you
started sending us, the.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
First thing I thought was, I'll plug the patio lights
in because I have the lights that hang and you know,
droop all those string lights, right, And so I plugged
it in there and I was like, all right, Alexa,
turn off the patio lights. Boom goes off. Alex to
turn on the patio lights.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
It's like, oh, this is great and you're feeling all powerful. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
So first thing you do, I gotta send this to Murphy,
send him the video. And what do I get back
five minutes later?
Speaker 6 (28:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I'm sitting there and I'm like, wow, that's crazy because Jody,
guess what Sam just sent? Because we just took this
up last night. Alady had just done it the exact
same thing. I had no idea that Sam was doing that.
And when with our with our string lights, the lights
like the exact same and so you know, I had
connected that up, you know, and and tested it same thing, ALEXA,
(28:47):
turn on and off the patio lights. It works, And
I sent that back to Sam. So here's another fine example,
you know what I mean, like one mind within twenty
four hours of each other, you know, not even knowing.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
What's funny is you know me?
Speaker 7 (28:59):
While Murphy said, adding all this up, I'm like, okay,
you know my my thing is just because you can
do it doesn't mean you have to do it. You
could just flip the light switches on and off, and
that's just the way I think. But now that it's
in use, like the other night, they were still shining
bright into our bedroom, so I just did it. I said,
you know, hey, turn them off, and it worked, and I.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Was like yeah, she started laughing. Finally you get this now, Jody,
you understand. And then the circuit that mine's on. If
I when I put Christmas lights outside, I'll control the
same control the Christmas lights. The gooh you are. You
got this down.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Way the Christmas next year, baby coming out.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
Your Hollywood be live action Barbie movie is coming, So
I can't wait to tell you who's going to be
Barbie and why John Travolta shaved his head, Not that
he doesn't look great.
Speaker 9 (29:48):
Jody's Hollywood outside same one.
Speaker 7 (29:51):
Was the last time you saw your one of your
favorite actresses, Margo Robbie.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
I look at her every day on the internet.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
I mean in her work.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Probably Tanya I was the.
Speaker 9 (30:01):
Best figure skater in the world at one point in time.
What's going on with the FBI?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
They know something.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
It's such a different turn for her, and it was
just so good and funny.
Speaker 7 (30:11):
Right, I still have not seen that yet, and I'm
mad at myself for not seeing it yet, because this
is the perfect kind of thing for her, because she
is so pretty that she's got to be even better
and she really, you know what I mean, than the
average first.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
To make the audio path. Yes that you are Margot Robbie.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Right, forget that I'm gorgeous as her job boll Here's
the deal. Margot Robbie's next project that she signed on
for that she's going to produce and star in is
the live action Barbie movie, and that sounds kind of like.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Really works for me.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
Remember this has been in production in the works, I
should say, in Hollywood for a while, and comedian Amy
Schumer had signed on and was excited about it. Apparently
the script is really good and they're excited to make it.
So it's not what you're thinking because you hear an
idea in Hollywood and you automatic should go what exactly?
I remember thinking Lego movie and then I enjoyed that
so much. But apparently she's super excited. She says this
(31:08):
movie is gonna have a positive impact on audiences and children,
and she's excited. And Amy Schumer didn't want to drop
out of the Barbie movie. She kind of had to.
She's pregnant now and other things that she had signed
on for were just like a conflict, so she had
to let it go. So Margot Robbie steps in.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
No word on who's gonna be Ken or Skipper.
Speaker 7 (31:27):
Or all the other Skipper. I wonder if there'll be
a Barbie mansion too with the elevator.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Yeah, And I wonder if exciting Margot is going to
be like, you know, Barbie astronaut, Barbie engineer.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I think Marco's Gonnabie. Who can know.
Speaker 7 (31:41):
But it's a live action Barbie movie, so to me,
that means it's gonna be funny too.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Okay, moving on.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
You know that John Travolta debuted at New Year's a
beautiful bald head.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Don't make me laugh, and it's not for you've not
seen this picture yet.
Speaker 7 (31:59):
He looks great bald, he really really does, and still
no word from him. He posted it on Instagram. Hope
you're having a great New Year and he's just rocking
a bald look and no word from him or anyone
on if it's for a role or if he just
got tired of dealing with all that hair. Yeah, because
he's always been super attractive. But I didn't think that.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
I just think he looks really great and I hope.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
He does it.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
How good I mean, I'll tell you now, it's great.
He does makes me want to shave my head.
Speaker 7 (32:26):
He looks younger, but you gotta have the right kind
of pretty shaped.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Head for it, and he certainly does.
Speaker 7 (32:31):
No word if it's for a movie role or not
coming up in your next Hollywood outside of this. Running
around eight thirty we know a little bit more about
Game of Thrones season eight up to date.
Speaker 10 (32:42):
With Shoty's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 7 (32:46):
Happy to bring you back in the groove food recipes
to help you get back in the groove in January
so that you can just stop holiday eating. I'm not
saying you gotta lose weight or change anything, but stop
holiday eating.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Why because another holiday coming up?
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Can't? You can't eat like that all the time. It's
what you do most often.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Well, that's that's a new, you know, kind of motto. There,
eat like it's a holiday, it's a cook book.
Speaker 7 (33:10):
Yeah, yeah, okay, I will tell you one of is
it okay, Murphy? If I spilled one of your tricks,
one of Murphy's tricks, And I'm happy to see that
you reinstated it. Because during the holidays, we were eating
Christmas cookies, ice cream and fudge and.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Cheesecake after meals.
Speaker 7 (33:28):
We were having even if it's just a little bit
where we're having all those things every day.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
There was chocolate cream pie. There was almon Enjoy coconut
flavored pie.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
That was maken.
Speaker 7 (33:38):
It sound so decondent, okay, but you cannot eat like
that every day. That's why it's called holiday eating. But
one of Murphy's tricks, and it's something I used to
do too. I just kind of fell out of love
with it a little bit. And you're gonna roll your
eyes at this. But if you want something after a meal, sam,
I say, you're gonna roll your eyes. That's sort of
sweet that satisfies you. But it's not so it's not
(33:58):
chocolate cream pie. Murphy each cheerios with almond milk and
a little.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
Say, I've never tried all that milk, because that add
a little more sweetness to it.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Well, we buy, we buy it adds flavor, we buy
the unsweetened so and then I'm putting artificial sweeteners. I'm
sure that there are gonna be some health people to
go no way. And the reason I did that is because, like,
in terms of points, it's lower points, so and it
satisfies me. Now you can't eat four bowls of it,
you'll be self defeating.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Again why not?
Speaker 1 (34:27):
And you can't do frosted cheerios.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
It just does regularly.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
You know how many cheerios they have?
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Too many?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
It has to be the plain Jane, you know, like sugar,
but I do like that and almond milk is an
acquired taste because if you're used to the full on
creaminess of dairy milk, it's not as thick. But I've
really now that. I'm now that's what I drink. I
love it.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yeah, so trick just sharing.
Speaker 8 (34:54):
It with you.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
So it's either that or it's you know, another two
handfuls of holiday mins.
Speaker 7 (35:00):
Check out the back of the groove food recipes Murphy,
Sam and Jody dot Com and Sam.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I don't know if you noticed. Did you watch the
Golden Globes over the weekend? I watched pieces of it.
Did you see What's back? What's coming back now? Geico
ran the hump Day commercial?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Oh yeah, like the.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Original Mike, Mike, Mike, Yeah, it's hump Day. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
I don't know if it was the original, but it's
definitely back.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
It was absolutely it was the original commercial. It was
like a call there was Mike, are we going back
in time five years?
Speaker 3 (35:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
It's good, Okay, so it is hump Day.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
It was funny commercial. I mean, yeah, give it a
little rest bringing back.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
Actually use it because it works. Absolutely is actually running
all their retro commercials. People are trying to pick their
favorite guy from the Okay, it's been a series of one.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Okay, thank you for the heads up. That means there's
a new Maybe there's a new one coming for super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, maybe there is.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
True.
Speaker 7 (35:52):
It's the only reason to launch something now to me
in commercial land.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Okay, see, I didn't know that they were doing that.
Another reason to watch TV.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
Now we understand. Okay, Well it is hump day. We've
established that. I want to say thank you to everybody
who's been calling and keep calling. Let us know what
your teenager driver rules are. If you've got teenagers who drive,
I know you have rules. What's funny is the one
that we've laid down. As Taylor's new to having her
license and a little bit more, one of the ones
(36:20):
that we've laid down is no you know friends in
the car. Yet she has already challenged me on that
a couple of times. Well is it Phoebe my friend?
Phoebe's my best friend? And you let me take Phoebe somewhere? Okay,
Exhibit A. And then another question she asked me was like, uh,
can I bring my friend Roger to get a haircut
this week?
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Like, I'm thinking, what's rule number one?
Speaker 4 (36:43):
I've seen Roger's hair. He doesn't need a cup.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Next time, it was great.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Rule number two is see rule number one. Yeah, I
haven't had any of that challenging Jody. I don't know
why she hasn't challenged me. She's challenged.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
I guess she knows you're more I don't know. Maybe
she she finds me a little bit more workable.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
I wear a T shirt that says.
Speaker 7 (37:02):
Okay, look, give us a call anytime eight seven seven
three one zero four MSJ. We have some voicemail also
from overnight, and we'll get to those this morning as well.
Speaker 9 (37:11):
Coming up with Murphy, Sam go.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
Get, I'll let you know about some of the new
stuff at the Consumer Electronic Show. Murphy. There's a new
belt that's coming out that's gonna make you aware when
you're eating too much food.
Speaker 7 (37:22):
Really, Oh, that sounds fun. First, Hollywood Outside of the
Morning is next. Margot Robbie, one of your favorite Hollywood chicks,
Sam getting ready for a new leading.
Speaker 9 (37:32):
Role Jody's Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 7 (37:36):
Sam one of your favorite ladies in Hollywood. Margot Robbie
is back at it again. And by the way, did
you ever see it?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Tanya?
Speaker 9 (37:43):
I was the best figure.
Speaker 10 (37:44):
Skater in the world.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I saw this movie.
Speaker 7 (37:47):
Okay, I never did, and I regret it, like every
time I remember, I want.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
To see it.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
It was very good.
Speaker 7 (37:52):
My daughter Taylor saw it and came home. She was like,
oh my gosh, this stuff really happened. I'm like, this
stuff really happened.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
It's one of those ones where you watch and go, Okay,
did this really happened this way? Or is it embellished?
Speaker 7 (38:02):
Which for Hollywood, I guess somewhat embellished. But we all
watched it in her mother I mean, I know she
wont awards for it and rightly said. Margot Robbie was great.
The whole movie is just hilarious. You didn't know Margot
Robbie could do that, digit I know she she can
do anything apparently. So now the news is that Margot
Robbie has stepped in to star in the live action
(38:24):
Barbie movie along with her production company and Mattel.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Now.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
Look, Amy Schumer was scheduled to be a part of
this at first, and Amy Schumer really wanted to because
she loved the script. Apparently it's really fun and there's
a decent message and all that kind of stuff. And
Amy Schumer had to back out because of scheduling. She
didn't want to back out, but she backed out it well,
she's having a baby, nout to and scheduling stuff. So
Margot Robbie steps in and excited to bring it on
(38:51):
screen a fresh and relevant way for today's audiences. She
kind of looks like a living Barbie Doll, just gonna say,
you know, it's true love to know who Ah Michael
Keaton could always tell Yeah he was good going by.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Okay, yeah, I also wanted to let you know.
Speaker 7 (39:08):
I don't know if you saw this or not, but
Netflix has announced this animated anthology series from David Fincher
and Tim Miller. Did you hear about that Tim Miller
from Deadpool? And then David Fincher from all this good
scary stuff called love, Death and Robots? But it's don't
let animated get in your way. It's not for children,
It's targeted at adults. The killer segment will be five
(39:31):
to fifteen minutes long. Some of these stories are about love,
some are about sci fi world and fantasy.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Some of them are funny.
Speaker 7 (39:41):
Some of them are about nerds, and different people in
Hollywood get to produce each different ones. So I mean
I'm not. I've never unless you're talking Bob's Burgers. I'm
not the biggest fan of animation for you know, you know,
anything older than like five years old.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
But this is very different.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
The shot, Love, Death, and Robots coming to Netflix up.
Speaker 10 (40:05):
To date with Sody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Well you've heard about smartphones and smart homes and smart speakers.
Well how about a smart belt that'll help you watch
what you eat? That's coming up next.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Reach out to us anytime, Facebook, Instagram, you can do that.
You can call it call us old School eight seven
seven three one oh four msj or text at number two.
There's so many different ways to get ahold of us.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
Hey, you know the CEES going on this week in
Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
That's right, Jody. What's the CEES Consumer Electronics Show?
Speaker 4 (40:35):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
You guys need to go to one year. We just
send you.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
Yeah, I just want to go for the freebies and
stuff too. You think the goodie bags all the slag
bag's got to have something in it good.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
You'd come home with so much junk.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
I got the highlights so far, the cool stuff, all right,
the remote suitcase. This is going to cost you eight
hundred bucks. Okay, you hold the handle. It's just like
one of it's a hard case suitcase.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
It's got wheels.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
You pull the handle up and you hold it, and
you stand there and it's going to scan. You do
a little facial recognition on you so it knows it's
you that it belongs to. And then you walk through
the airport and it goes up to six miles an hour.
You don't even have to pull it. It just travels
along with you.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
That's ridiculous. And what if somebody else tries to get it?
Speaker 4 (41:14):
But wait, there's more. If somebody else tries to steal it,
it notifies your phone. Okay, hey I'm being stolen.
Speaker 7 (41:20):
Okay, but you have to put it on when you
check it, and they're gonna load it on the plane
for you have to put it in a different mode.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Well that's my question is you know, is this thing
going to be slung onto a plane and damage before
you know it?
Speaker 7 (41:31):
Again, just because you can do something technologically does not mean, Like.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
I can't tell you many back aches I've had walking
through an airport, I would love for my suitcase to
follow me.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
Now it goes up to six miles an hour. I
don't know if that includes like you're about to miss
your jet and you're gonna run. There's also hour the
smart belt for two hundred dollars. This is a belt
that will detect your potential falls by the way you're walking.
You know, if you start to it's gonna I don't
know what to do. I don't know you. I don't
know if it's gonna go warning.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Warning.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
But it also if you eat too much, and it
starts feeling the pressure on the belly and will send
you a notification on your app. Hey, slow down, bud,
you're eating too much.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Once it knows you've eaten too much, isn't it too
late at that point?
Speaker 7 (42:12):
It is because by the time your belt starts to
feel it, it's already.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
In your body.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
What was the long juice?
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Just because you can do something technologically does not mean
you should.
Speaker 4 (42:21):
All right, And just for the diabetics, are there any diabetics.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
In the room? Yeah, yeah, right over here, Sam.
Speaker 4 (42:26):
For five hundred dollars. The Arabetic. It looks like a watch.
You put it on your wrist and it senses your
blood sugar based on your breath. No more finger no
more pricking your fingers.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yeah, you can.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
I guess you breathe into it now. It hasn't been
approved yet by the Yeah, but I hope to have
that by the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
One small technical.
Speaker 9 (42:46):
Right, Sam's gotten music news.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
Before the holidays. I tell you about the big Elvis
arst All Star tribute that's coming up in a couple
of months.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Peper ready for it.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
NBC is doing this, Okay, flashing back nineteen sixty eight,
he had the big Comeback special where he was dressed
in black leather on the tiny little stage with the musicians. Well,
NBC went back and they said, you know, it's fifty years,
let's do it again. The Elvis All Star Tribute Concert
February seventeenth. It's two hours. But what they did was
they got all today's artists together to do Elvis songs,
and they built the state same stage, you know, tiny
(43:18):
square stage, and you're going they're gonna get on there
and perform. Uh. We got Keith Urban doing Burning Love,
I mean, and we got everybody.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
We're gonna like touch sort of dress ode to him too.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
I got to I know Adam Lambert is gonna wear
blue Swede shoes when he does. He has but I mean,
we have Ed Sheeran, we have post Malone, we have
Blake Shelton's going to be the host of the thing.
Oh lordy, Garry Underwood is going to be on there.
J Lo is gonna do Heartbreak Hotels.
Speaker 7 (43:43):
Listen, She's gonna shake that thing white something.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
Darius Rutger is going to be on there. The Pistol Annies,
who is Blake Shelton's former wife, Miranda Lambert, she's in
the group. Shawn Mendez is doing hound Dog, and then
they're doing a couple of medley's. They're doing like an
Elvis gospel medley and then our Elvis Hits medley as
well with everybody on stage. So it's February seventeenth, two hours.
(44:11):
Look for it on.
