Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Sam's Goot Music News.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
That's more Taylor Swift wedding rumors for you. Excuse me,
I mean info, Okay, rumors. She and her family and
this didn't involve Travis. This was Taylor mom, dad, and
her brother went out to eat dinner Monday night in
New York City. Nice and so, leading to more speculation
that New York City is going to be the place

(00:26):
to be for the wedding on July the third.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yes, okay, hey, you.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Know, maybe they were Scott and something, maybe trying something.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Maybe they're just having family dinner together to New York
and the wedding's been planned.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah, we got to beef up these rumors because folks
like the Daily Mail and US Weekly are reporting that
about one hundred and fifty people are.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Invited to this wedding based on based on rumors, okay,
and good little number.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
That's going to be happening in an arena or a
museum like space.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Ooh, that would be beautiful. So many beautiful places to
get married.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
In New York.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, so many museums.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Wherever you see a ton of security, they're going to
get married at met Ooh.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
That is how rumors get started.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Murphy says they're getting married at the night, and also
too that she could have up to six designers working
on dresses right now so that she can pick the
one that she wants.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Kidding, it's really documenting all of it for fans.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Supposedly based on an Elizabeth Taylor wedding dress from nineteen fifty. Okay,
there's a lot of rumors there. The World Cup less
than a month away from starting the World Cup, and
it's gonna be here in the US and Canada and Mexico.
The opening ceremonies in La are gonna involve Katie Perry,
Nice and Lisa from Black Pink. Yeah, don't know who's
going to be playing at the opening ceremonies yet in Mexico.

(01:37):
But up in Canada we're gonna have Michael Boublay, Alessia Cara,
and Elanis Morris.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
At Canadian Artists. That's right, it's go off.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Brian Adams, why don't you getting him? You know who knows.
Others will be added before we get there. And then
during the the World Cup there's gonna be concerts going
on in different venues throughout the country. Coming up June twelfth,
We're gonna have Nelly in concert. E's gonna be playing
in Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Later in the month in Miami, the Chainsmokers are playing,
and then in New York City near the finals, fifty
cent and Diplo are going to have a concert yeah
as well. Got some trouble for mister Paul McCartney. The
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is opening a Paul
McCartney in Wayne's exhibition this Friday. Nice seven guitars that
he wants is part of it. They're stuck in customs

(02:27):
in London because they're made of Brazilian rosewood, which you
can no longer use to make anything.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Why.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Probably because it's an endangered species or endangered tree.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
But if it's like grandfather, that's what I'm thinking.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
He didn't just make these. These are been made.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Somebody's being a stickler at customs.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
And just a reminder for you, Paul is playing as
the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this week. Season
finale coming.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Up in six fifty Jody has three things to note today.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Coming up NeXT's going to hear from you. We have
a message from Instagram from that, I have to share
with you guys, because Hi, Murphy, Sam and Jody was
listening to the podcast heard you talking about short texts,
like how you know sending just K is not great.
So I'm a millennial and we are probably the first
generation to be all about texting. And here to let

(03:16):
you know, texting K is rude to most of my
generation and gen Z. It's not just because it's capitalized.
It's the shortness of it, and in conversation even saying
K seems short and comes off in text as annoyed
or even mad. Just thought i'd let you know. Also, ka,
why instead of just the letter K is better? And

(03:39):
I have no idea why lol.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Probably because it doesn't feel as abrupt. It's so funny
because text just doesn't have emotional context no without an
emoji Anyway.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
This goes on to read I think my generation has
put a lot of tone behind certain texting phrases, which
is also why my generation particularly says lol a lot.
It's not because something is so funny. It's often just
put to lighten the tone of a text.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
And I do that a lot, Kirsten. But yeah, yeah,
because I remember, I remember when Sam went through his
CA phase. And I remember the first couple of times
I got it's like, okay, what is up? What's with
the attitude?

Speaker 3 (04:18):
You know?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
And so the.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
First time I got a k back from Sam, I'm like,
that's so Sam.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
He's also doing it to be Sam and to.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Go okay, you know, to be you, to stand on
that hill and die on that hill that you're not
going to over communicate.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, Kirsten, thank you for the lesson.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, that's awesome. And I guess millennials were really the
first two because they were using the phones with the
keypad and the letters on the keypad to text. They
were really I say, the first anybody that had, you know,
that kind of phone before smartphones that's how you texted.
But they were super fast with it too.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
If you remember one of our producers, Bailey, he used
to talk occasionally in those things, because I remember him
every now and then, what do you mean to go,
hul It's so verbalized every night I hear that talk those.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Now right, It's good to talk about this because we
are all in different generations communicating and I don't ever
want anything to be misunderstood.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Kay, Okay, the joke.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Coming up, next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
The Latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider. When a book becomes
such a big deal with a big fan base, it
deserves a better explanation. So yesterday I mentioned that Fourth
Wing is going to be at adapted into a TV
series for Amazon Prime, with Michael B. Jordan as one
of the producers. I kind of said, I think it's

(05:48):
about dragons. You know, Sam, it sounds right up your atlas,
But I wanted to be more clear. My cousin, Crystal,
who's very well read, she reads all the cool fiction,
she begged me to read this one time, and gay
gave me the book at her house and I just
wasn't in a I think I had just finished Game
of Thrones and I wasn't in a dragon place. And
so I asked her to give me the synopsis because
this is coming and the author, Rebecca Yarrow's, is one

(06:11):
behind this being made into a you know, a TV
show and adaptation. So my cousin says, it's a it's
about a girl who was forced to enter a school
to become a dragon writer. It's brutal and a lot
of the students die in the process. It's pretty good.
It's typical young adult fiction. There's a boy, they hate
each other, then can't resist each other, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, so I.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Thought as soon as she sent me that, I gotta
tell Sam and everybody if you've never read this. It
is something she said. She couldn't put it down, and
she doesn't do dragons.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Well, it's young adult fiction.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
That's me, it is you.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
It sounds a little bit like The Hunger Games meets
Twilight meets Game of Thrones. It's called Fourth Wing. Look
for it Amazon Prime TV show and will let you know.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
When coming up.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
At six fifty, Jody has three things to note today.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
I've been going to the movies all of my life.
I love to go to the movies. Murphy will go.
It's not his first choice, but he will go, although.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
It doesn't occur to me to go. I know that
sounds stupid, but that's okay. And there are a lot
of great movies out right now too.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Well, So you took me with our girls to see
the Michael Jackson biopic the other night and you and
the other day for Mother's Day, and we made a
really stupid mistake.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
You know what, I'm about to.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Throw down, don't I didn't think we made.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
A rookie mistake. So he and I share a small popcorn.
You and I share a small popcorn, and I got
a medium sized drink and you got a large, and
Taylor and Phoebe had their own big bucket, and we're
just enjoying it and sipping it down and drinking. I
was drinking like a crazy person. And by the end
of the movie, the end of the Michael Jackson movie,
it ends.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
With Bad, a live performance of Bad. I was in
so much pain.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
I did not get up to go to the restroom
because I didn't want to miss anything.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
It's one of those movies. I'm not gonna get up.
What if, you know, what if he and Joe have
another altercation. I didn't know what was going on. What
if Janet does appear?

Speaker 5 (08:06):
You know.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
I kept thinking, I don't want to miss anything. That's
a rookie mistake.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Well, I don't know if that's a rookie mistake. I
didn't I didn't have that much to drink. I don't
know how long the movie was to be honest. Well,
here's the thing. The previews lasted for twenty five minutes
and so I think that ate up some of the
watch time. But I had to get I mean, I was,
I was in such pain. To be honest with you,
I tried to I can grant embarra, but you get
to that place where you go, this is going to
turn ugly, really.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Can I go?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Yeah? So, I mean, and it's so got up and
left during this fither And by the way, that's not
a spoiler. I don't think that there's there is no
spoiler to this because they've already talked about how the
movie part two will pick up after You Know Bad
and but you would think where I was walking out,
I thought the same thing that Jodie thought, is there's
got to be something else after this. But it ended.
By the time I got back to the theater, the

(08:55):
credits were rolling, I'm like, okay. In fact, I actually
couldn't get back to my seat because everybody was probably
because they had to go to the bathroom to guess
I was in pain.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
I stayed for it all, and you're right. I wasn't
thinking you need to remember to sip. You need to
know how long.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
The movie.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Run.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
P Yes called p yeah, and I used it for
Michael because I had to go to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
What does it say what spots?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Oh, I'd have to pull it up and see.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Human Nature was a long stretch.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
It tells you. Usually they tell you like three spots
in the movie and how long each of those spots are.
And it gives you a little written text of listening.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Thank you for the reminder.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Coming up next, Three things to know today. Three things
to know today. Number one, we are oh so close
to summer vacation time, but four and ten Americans are
staying home this summer staycation.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Time because of prices, as of the.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Price of everything, not just gas, but just because you
can't fit it into your family's budget. You know you're
and it's so it's you, it's some of your neighbors.
Coming up tomorrow on the show, we'll talk about ways
to actually make it fun and make it feel like
a vacation, okay, a staycation. Number two, Apparently, if you're
working out in the summer, in the summer heat, guess

(10:06):
what can give you a boost? Of course, water, of course, hydrate,
but caffeine changes. It reduces your brain's perception of fatigue
and it boosts your motivation. Basically, it makes you feel
like the exercise is less tiring than it actually is.
It's a little cup of joe before a workout. Just
make sure you hydrate as well.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Maybe it's a new idea for power aid. Huh, for electrolytes,
any caffeine.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
And number three. I didn't know this was a day.
It's National Night Shift Workers Day.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Night who.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
We can't have a twenty four hour world without people
who are willing to work overnight. You know, hospital staff,
police officers, security bakers, people who bake overnight so that
we can have something fresh in the morning. Yeah, anyway,
it messes with your body clock. I think it's a
hard you know schedule, don't you.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah, But the good news is it's the end of
the day now.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Day, National Night Shift Worker's Day.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
You're up to date.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Three things to know.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Today, special guest right now, Hey Tay, Hey love having
my baby girl along. So our oldest daughter Taylor joining us.
Because I shared with everybody what you made for me
for Mother's Day.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
You want to explain it to the guys like they're
five years old?

Speaker 5 (11:22):
Yeah, sure, sure, yeah. I made date Bark has dates,
peanut butter, dark chocolate. Some people like to add peanuts too,
and call it kind of like a nature snicker bar peanuts. Yeah,
it was pretty easy to do. Basically, just swished a

(11:42):
bunch of dates onto some parchment paper, drizzled some peanut
butter on top, and then melted some dark chocolate and
poured that on top, and then set it in the
fridge and cut it up. And it was super easy
and it's really good.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
It a couple of things why.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
For one, I recently started eating dates more often, and
I really really loved them. You know, they taste a
lot like brown sugar. And the other reason is because
it's healthier option. And I know that Mom has been
trying to blatch it a little bit, so I thought that,
you know, instead of making like banana bread or any
other dessert that I've made in the past, then this

(12:18):
would be a good idea. And it worked out. Was
really easy and very good.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
It is really delicious.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
And you used organic peanut butter?

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeah? Brand did you use? Because this stuff is delicious.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
I bought it from all.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
These Okay, so you know the one thing I should
say though, because if you're not used to eating dates,
it's very high end fiber just fy. Oh it is
considered a natural laxative. So you don't want to eat
like four or five of these things at one time necessarily,
you know, if you're not used, if your digestive systems

(12:51):
not used to it. Not that I'm speaking from experience,
all I kind of am.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
I was about to say, Dad, did you have some problems?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Yeah, this is very sweet Mother's Day gift. I love
that you want. Like you know, I am very careful
about what I eat. But it's just it looks beautiful.
It looks like a regular bark. It's very decadent.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
It's just a warning that you don't want to eat
ten pieces of it without understanding.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Maybe you don't want to eat pieces.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Right, Okay, So do the amounts matter? If we're gonna
post the recipe tailor? Is it like how much peanut butter?
It's just how much you want.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
I honestly didn't measure it out. What I can say
is that I did take as many dates as that
would fill up the little tray that I used, we
push them down. I didn't count those out, and then
I honestly just eyeballed it. So just enough peanut butter
to cover like a small layer of it, and then
same thing with the dark chocolate, so I'm not I

(13:46):
don't have measurements.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
It was from the I love it from the heart.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Taylor's Date Bark also known as Murphy's Natural Laxis morning
pick me up time and it's from you today. This
rolled in a couple of comments. I want to share
Britney sent this and by the way, her name is
spelled bri t A n Y like it. Brittany, I says,

(14:14):
good morning. I know it's not said, it's Brittany. She says,
good morning. I love your show. Listen every day heard
you talking about a digital detox. That was yesterday's morning
pick me up that if you stop using your device
for anything but calls and messaging, which you have to do,
if you stop doom scrolling on it for two weeks,

(14:36):
that it will improve your health and your mental clarity,
all of that a digital detox, she says.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
I actually just did this and I gave it up
for Lent.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
It was really hard the first week or two, but
eventually it was so nice, which means she did it
for forty days, right, you do it for Lent, you
do forty days. My focus was better and I spent
more time doing things I love instead of doom's scrolling.
Definitely recommend doing this. Thank you for making my days brighter, Brittany.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
That's awesome, Brittany, thank you for sharing that. So did
she go back to it? I guess she didn't say that.
I'm wondering. I would think you're.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Listening to our show. She might have been listening online.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
I don't know how well that's okay if listening to
us is not doom scrolling to most people.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
And we also have another couple of comments, So thank
you for that. That's that blifts us up to know
that somebody's doing it and you do it for your.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Own rests wonderful.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
But if you ever are.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Feeling I think the beauty in that message is if
you are ever feeling just overwhelmed and tense by life,
and you have a very digital life, then try letting
shedding some of that.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
It does make a difference. You actually feel like you
get time back, truly, because when you're scrolling, you don't
realize what time is passing on you know, I mean.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
It's you're right, You've spent all this time, all this
time passing you have nothing to show for it but
a brain scramble.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I would try it.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Yeah. I saw a quote about, you know, pay attention
to the minutes and the years, take care of themselves.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Oh that's good.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Yeah, it took me a minute. Anyway, morning, pick me up,
share yours with us anytime. We love having you long
eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ Coming.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Trending.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Now, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Let's go here again, Sam, I know you mentioned this
in Music News earlier, but Taylor Swift saying yes to
six wedding dresses.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Oh, so the rumor's true.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Yeah, here's the word.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Is she commissioned six dresses from different designers. Okay, she
may go through a couple of costume changes on her
big day. Some people also believe that's one rumor. The
other rumor about the six dresses is that she's using
some as decoys. She doesn't want, you know, you to
assume or no which designer she chose or anything. You know,

(16:57):
she has to keep everything else.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
All the designers have had to sign up.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Right, there's a level of secrecy here, not just the designers,
but you know, drivers, handlers, if you are the one
delivering like a door dress to her. You have to
sign an NDA non disclosure agreement. You can't talk about
any of this for the designers and the fitting sessions.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Don't look tailor in the eyes.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
This is all really fun and all, but she's also
understand she's a girl with an occasion coming up. That's
a very important occasion in her life. She might just
want to try on a bunch of dresses and it
might not be all this high.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
You know, she's not a normal person. She's got to
take these measures if she wants to have her wedding.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
She can't roll into David's bride All okay, right.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Come it up next, it's Keep the Wow Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Jump in anytime, we mean it, especially on Keep the
Wow Wednesday eight seven seven three one zero four.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
MSJ.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
What's going on, Lisa.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Well, I'm a part of the women's group at church
and we were looking for ideas for like some icebreakers
and everything.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Oh yeah, I said.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Why don't we have what was your wow of the week?

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yes, oh wow?

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Start sharing, uh huh.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
And so they liked the idea.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
I said, well that was inspired by Jodie.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Oh so good. So tell me about some of the
wows from the group.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Well, we haven't started yet.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Okay, we're getting it together.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
It's like a seasonal.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Good thing that we do. Okay, but we had like
a little core meeting of ideas of you know, how
do things generated and.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Yeah, so it was my suggestion and we're going to
use it.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
The idea too, The idea you can kind of guide
them through it is that women, especially when you're you know,
all about your family, your wows can be hey, my
kid did this, or this happened at work, but but
it the real idea is for it to be you
about your own positive self talk like wow I got

(19:04):
through this, or wow I got a promotion and I
never saw myself doing this. It's really mainly supposed to
be about that, which is how it started in my brain.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
But there's no wrong way to celebrate a wow.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
So we have young mothers, love and lady fifty and over. Yep,
it's just a huge blend of differents.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Yeah, different generations going on in there.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah. Well, I can't wait to hear how it goes.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
And yeah, you you teach them how to celebrate their
own wows and to not just do it there to
learn how to do it daily in your life, like Wow,
it was a hard day but I got through it,
or Wow I did this.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Or that, Wow this happened. That's improvement. That's all it is. Yeah,
it's self.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Talk and who else is gonna lift you up.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
But yourself time?

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Right, you hear your voice the most is the point.
So please make it kind and celebrate your wows.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yeah, that is so awesome, Lisa, thank you so much
for sharing that with us.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
The other part of it is keep keep it with
you and don't just let something good happen and let
it go. Keep it with you is the way that
you build your own self esteem.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
That's why it's called.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Keep Coming up next, Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Number one, expect travel influencers to be a little more
in your face, not just because of summertime, but because
TikTok and other social media platforms are about to start
linking and letting you book hotels and experiences right through
the app. It's not that different than like say, TikTok shop,
but you know, if you see an influencer and they're

(20:40):
raving about a new restaurant. You could book it right there,
same thing for like tours of Disneyland and things like that.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
So expect it to change.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Number two Bed Bath and Beyond set to make its
brick and mortar return sort of. So they you know,
filed for some bankruptcy in twenty twenty three and big
locations shut down. It won't be standalone sites, but almost
one hundred new locations will be part of Container store locations.
In fact, the Container Store CEO saying they're moving out

(21:10):
thirty percent of their inventory to make way for the
Bed Bath and Beyond products and sections.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
That's as smart because storage was part of bed Bathroom Beyond.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Ah so much.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Yes, And number three gen Z is giving the Hacky
Sack a comeback.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Oh I got a break mine out.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
They're popping up people spending their lunch breaks kicking these
little footbags around in circles.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
It's a little bean bag foot bag, a little bigger
than a golf ball, and you stand in a circle
and you kick it back and forth.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Yeah, okay, Well, demand is pretty intense for these stores
reporting selling out of Hacky Sacks and online massive daily
sales of it. It gets you outside and socializing.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
You're in the note three things to Know Today.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
I don't know if you've ever had one of those.
Finding a van, go at a garage sale moments.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Man, I want to, but man, I want to.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yesterday Declaration of Independence full of the original yeah by
John Hancock.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Now I don't want a document, I want something beautiful.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
I want art.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Well, you told us earlier this week about the Boba
Fette that they had the family found in the attic
when mom passed away, still.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
In Star Wars.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yeah yeah, well also this in the past week. Uh,
this Luke Skywalker card original Luke Skywalker card sold for
almost seven hundred thousand dollars. It shattered a record.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Wow, so no way.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I looked at this card and I thought, man, this
sure looks familiar, and I sure did collect I got
four of them.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Oh my god, Oh wow, that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
I mean it's like a full house yeah Skywalker.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Now, the thing is this was a this card that
sold for six hundred and eighty seven thousand was h
It's called PSA Gem Mint Condition ten. It's like the
highest quality. Nothing is wrong with it mine. I can
see one of them the corners is all dinged up
because I was probably using it as a child. The
other three looked pretty good. Yeah, great, but they also

(23:05):
one of the things they great on is centering, and
I can see the three of these look like they
might be a little off center.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
That's the printer's problem, not yours.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
It's my problem if I want to get six hundred
eighty seven dollars, because it wouldn't be grade at a ten.
It would be downgraded to like a four or something.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
What's freaking me out is that, isn't it true that
the card that got all the money was probably it's
in a protective case.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Oh yeah, it's it's in one of those protective plastic cases,
hard cases. And I think they're murphy. I think they're
even like sealed, so like no air can get in.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Oh okay, and so would that be like in its
original packaging? Is that part of it?

Speaker 3 (23:42):
This isn't the original packaging. This is somebody collector that
put it in one of.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Those Wow, okay.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
You can see up top. It's all the grading is
up top, Like this is a condition.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
You imagine I think something like that.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
How do you yeah, how do you get that? A praise?

Speaker 3 (23:55):
You have to send this off to the company and
it's like thirty five forty bucks a card to have
it graded.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Oh yeah, which you don't want to do well.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I mean if it comes back and they say, yeah,
that card's worth twenty bucks, it's you know.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Send off one of them, the best one and stop
handling them like that, okay, making me nervous.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
And the Luke Skywalker sticker sold for fifty seven hundred dollars.
And you have that hot that one too. That's pretty
one of these though.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
That looks it's in really good condition. I think let
it pay for vacation.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Vacation. Oh well, I mean these three this is retirement
right here.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
If you want to see what Sam's talking about, maybe
you've got one just like it. You can check it
out on our socials or at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com.

Media connect Whattter.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Response coming in for this little dogbed war that we
shared on our social media pages, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok
all the places. It's funny Little Sparky being on the
big dog bed.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
He's a little dog, he's long hair in Chihuahua.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
And then big Champ being on the small bed. And
here's what it sounds like. A Champ's just trying to
get on his big bed. Yeah, is this the other?

Speaker 1 (25:10):
But they're not biting each other. And then Sparky just
knows to move.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Yeah, just a normal occurrence.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Absolutely almost every night almost they they have the bed
war several times a day.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Anyway.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
It's a male dog posturing thing.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Yes, and so some comments that rolling that are rolling in.
Adam sent this to our Facebook page. Little man syndrome.
We had a dots and years ago that stood up
to a Saint Bernard are Chewy was seven pounds compared
to a two hundred and fifty pound dog. Whoa, And
the little dog syndrome is a real thing. And that's
what Sparky has. Christina says, what is Sparky so mad about?

(25:49):
I feel bad for Champ. Sparky's just mad.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Because he's little. Yeah, he's just mad because he's little.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
He wants the bed, he wants the big bed. But
they're always they do that with the bed that's up
front too. Same thing. Champ goes outside, Sparky immediately goes
with that bed. Now when Champ comes back in, he moves.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
He always moved, so oftentimes the little one sleeping on
the huge bed and the big one is curled.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
No, I don't think so. I think Champ's like, okay,
go ahead, when you finish sparking, I'll take the bed.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Also, Julie sent this to Murphy, Sam and Jodi dot
Com when Sam and you guys were talking about toy story.
I couldn't help but notice that Sam sounds like Woody.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
I don't know, Jesse.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Toys are for play, but techis ever.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Julie says, Am I crazy? Or do their voices sound similar?

Speaker 3 (26:37):
I don't know, Julie.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
You know it's there are a lot of people that
have said that over the years. And Sam has a
Tom Hanks sound.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Can you do Houston?

Speaker 4 (26:45):
We have a problem, like, can you do some Tom
Hanks for us? My mom always he does sound like
Tom Hanks.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
You're not crazy, Julie, and thanks for us sending that
to us.

Speaker 1 (27:00):

Speaker 2 (27:04):

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Conan O'Brien, set to host the twenty twenty seven Academy Awards.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
I am Conan O'Brien and I'm honored to be the
last human host of the Academy.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Award, calling it the three quel. This is his third
time in a row. That's kind of a big deal.
He's the first host Sinsibilly Crystal to do like three
straight shows. And this upcoming one in twenty twenty seven
in March is the ninety ninth.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Oscars, so he needs a four peet.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
I think that would be cool to make it to
one hundred.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
It'll air live on ABC and Hulu, this one. I
think in time it won't be like it's going to
change where you get it, how like the vehicle of
how you watch the Academy Awards. But he's so funny
and so so fun and he brought his own you know.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
I'm glad they y oh no, he's perfect for it, all.

Speaker 4 (27:55):

is a part of you. They didn't compromise on authenticity
because Taylor Sheridan won't won't do that. So it's a
real look spotlighting real ranching that culture.

Mean, Krispy Kreme has come up with their best donut ever,
the Orange dreamsickle glaze donut.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Yes, that does sound good.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
This means it's not like a donut with orange frosting
on top.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Oh, it's not orange donut.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
It's a donut, no regular donut. And the whole glaze
is orange.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Oh I thought orange donut, orange flavor dough and then
a creamy glaze.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
But no regular doughnut with the orange glaze on it.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Okay, it does sound good.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
There's a catch though, you can only get these through
the weekend. They're only selling them for four days tomorrow
through the weekend.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Smart smart market marketing.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Look those orange cinnamon roll breakfast rolls.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
That's one of those things our daughters remember very Yeah,
those are good.

Speaker 3 (29:25):

riblets and double crunch shrimp deal.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Yeah, okay, you know, like boneless wings are really nuggets,
I know. Okay. Anyway, you can get all of those
fifteen ninety nine as many as you can eat. That's
a lot that a lot. Ruffles has launched a new flavor,
buffalo wing. In the past, they had they had one
called Ruffles Double Crunch Hot Wings. But this one, they say,
is not as hot. It's tangy, buttery and more moderate

(29:57):
level of spice.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
So you guys, yeah, I mean I thought the they
had that before in a different way. But this is
the taste of chicken and the buffalo sauce. Is that
what it is if they're calling it a buffalo wing?

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah, I guess so.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
As soon as you saying you got to add the
meat flavor.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Yeah, uh, dippin dots. I told you a while back
they were coming to the grocery store. Now you didn't
just have to go to the amusement park or a stadium. Well,
they're now in stores and Little in the Box has
got four little two and a half ounce containers and
it's cookies and cream, ultimate brownie batter and cookie dough.
Those are the flavors that.

Yeah, Popsicle has a new drink on the market and
it's got alcohol. It's called Yes, it's called Popsicles Hard
and they have three flavors, grape, orange, and cherry, five
percent by volume alcohol in them.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
That doesn't sound like a smart bambo, I mean, but
you know.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Wait wait wait, it's a drink or it's a popsicle.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
It tastes like popsicle, but it's a drink. It's a
liquid twelve ounce beverage, but.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
It's an alcoholic drink.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Yes, yeah, a hard popsicle.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
So you can mix your childhood with adulthood.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
Just keep them away from the please.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
