Speaker 1 (00:00):
And as you know, Santa visits us every year.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's our favorite part.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Santa. You know what, we were particularly excited to have
you this year because you know, it's been really it's
been a.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Rough year here at home, right, very very tough year
here in Baton Rouge.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yes, in the surrounding area.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Five are yeah, five different families in my family lost
almost everything and definitely lost their homes. The reason we're
having the big family get together at our house this year. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
And you know what, and I'm sure there are a
lot of flooded families are the same thing. You know,
Christmas is being done in a different place this year.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yes, I mean it's an adjustment for the kids, it's
an adjustment for the parents. Everybody has to think about
what's important right now.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Right, So how do you help somebody who's really having
a tough time with that? Because there's you know a
lot of families. It's they're not in their own place
this year, the.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Ready Christmas stuff that meant something to.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
You, right exactly, how do you handle that this year?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Well, first is to remember that the best Christmases aren't
about what you have or things or lots of money
or buying big gifts. The best Christmas are always about
when people pull together and remember that the greatest gift
is each other. And that's one thing that they haven't
lost this year.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
And you know what, the Cajun Navy showed us that
that was the pulling together.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yes, so literally pulling.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
They were better heroes than Santa in his sleigh. I'll
tell you that much.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Hey, Santa, you know we did kind of end recently
on a good note with Coach Oh Rights. I hear
you do a great Coach o impersonation.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Santa does a Coach oh impersonation. Oh well, you know,
Coach Oh and Santa a lot like in the way
they talk. Really, I think so sometimes when I'm coaching
the elf intramural football team, I try to give them
a little bit of Coach Oh. We call him Coach Ho.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
I do a little bit like it, and I'll tell him,
come on, Niles, y'all gotta put that Christmas tree up there,
and you gotta you gotta decorate that tree and get
that ball across the line.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
That's that's my cool.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Sure, good, so sweet. Thank you for being with us.
We appreciate you so so much. Kids.

Speaker 4 (02:09):

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
