I feel you. You're my people. I feel like when
it comes to leftovers, there are two kinds of people,
people who forget about them and then people who look
forward to them like crazy.

Do you know that I've counted lately. I have counted
how many meals I get out of going out to eat,
and it's three times I'll eat I eat it, that
when we go have lunch, I'll eat it the next
day and the next day. Three times I can get
out of going out to eat. Wow, which speaks to

three meals out of going out to eat. So I'm
a hey, that's a value thing.

that we've gone out to eating, the whole day's gone by,
sometimes I forget about those leftover But you know I
made turkey burgers the other night. Yeah, and I ate
every single one of them. Yeah, not in one sitting.

But our oldest Taylor, who's living at home now, she'll
even say, can I eat these leftovers? And I'm like, well,
she goes, they're dad's. He doesn't even know. He doesn't remember,
like I know, but you should ask first. He's like,
all right, fine, she won't ask.

So it's really restaurant leftovers that I forget about, or
do I forget them all?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
No, you forget restaurant leftovers. You if we've made something,
I think you'll go. Are we having chili again?

Yeah, which to me, restaurant leftovers are the ones.

I made a pizza, you know, from scratch of the
Super Bowl delicious, have like half of it left. So
that was I was definitely looking forward to that all day.

you heat it? How did you reheat it?

Airfryer? Just a couple of minutes in the air fryer.

Fantastic. It's another thing that has brought leftovers up to
a new level is being able to sort of make
them new again.

You don't have to you don't have to turn the
oven on. Yeah, two minutes in the air fryer and boom.
So what are we having for dinner tonight? I don't
think we have any leftovers? I eat all the Super Bowl.

oldest daughter Taylor, who last week, when wanting to give
something to her sister, Phoebes our youngest daughter Phoebe. Phoebe's
birthday was last week, Taylor said, I want to do

something special for her. I want to make her something,
and she meant in the kitchen. Taylor is quite a
foodie and one of Phoebe's favorite desserts in the world is.

Tierra Massue teer Massue, which she gets from me.

Right, she learned about it from you, because.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
That's one of my favorite desserts, absolutely.

And I've never made it. I don't think you've ever
attempted to make it. We just order it where, you.

Know, when it's one of those one I look at it,
it's like this is too fancy. Sure that's somebody else
will make it.

Taylor's not intimidating by that kind of stuff. And she
made a from scratch teer Me Sue where she even
made the cream herself. There's some other parts of it
that she did that I missed. But she also instead
of using Lady Finger cookies, she wanted to do a
little something different. Tell him what what she did.

She decided to go with the scoff cookies and you know,
it's and I was a little concerned about that because
this is the first time that she's making tiermsus and
she's altering and I don't know how that would It's like, wow,
is that going to make it too sweet? But I
wasn't gonna, you know, judge. And then it was given
to Phoebe for her birthday and then it it disappeared
from the house because it was going to a party.

Phoebe wanted to take it to her friend's party right
in front.

Of your face.

And it sure looks good.

It had a heart on it because she did a
heart like stencil and then dusted the cocoa powder on top.
It was beautiful.

want to eat all of it. Mom and dadd need
to try this, so she sent it back home and
uh and it's honestly one of the best desserts I
think I've ever had in my life. I can't believe
how good it were.

It was great, fantastic. Yeah, it was different, and I
mean it makes it much more rich than what Lady
Fingers would be.

And what she did with the Marscapone cheese stop it.

Well, so Marscapone is the fluffy part. And you you know, Sam,
I don't know. This is where I would screw up
this recipe because you start with egg yolks that you're
cooking down with sugar, but you have to use a
double boiler. Show doesn't turn into scrambled eggs.

And then you're folding in heavy whipping cream, and then
you're folding in what else.

Not his girlfriend and another friend she broke his girlfriend
five ribs. He wasn't on board. The pilot died and
they're still figuring it out. But the landing gear failed
and you know, his jets smashed into a business jet
that was parked nearby on the tarmac and the NTSB
is in charge of the investigation now. And number three,

a major pet microchip company has gone out of business
without warning, called Save This Life. Veterinarians are saying, no
reason to panic. If that's the company you were registered with,
you just bring them to a vet. You don't have
to rechip them. You just have to register with a
different company. If it's important to you, that company was

Customer service representative for a small company a major company,
doesn't matter.

I think it is. It can be challenging as long
as you know to expect that people who are complaining
about things. That's a lot of times customer service gets
the complaints and not you know, congratulations or confident.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Do you call a business back because you had a
great experience.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Right, so you have to kind of you have to
understand the purpose that that's you know, you're going to
be dealing with people who were upset at times.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Mentioned this yesterday and three things to know. It is
the most in demand job in twenty twenty five. Companies
everywhere need really good customer service reps. To me, because
you think that the job is to communicate and listen
and solve problem and manage expectations and manage emotions even

and have solutions. But at the end of the day,
if it's my company, what your real job is to
take that experience and turn it around that they leave
feeling good about you. To me, it is an insurmountable job. Yeah,
it sounds like a difficult job.

To do it does.

Here's what it takes. Communication skills, strong problem solving abilities,
positive attitude.

Empathy, Yeah, patience Murphy, I'll love this. Active listening skills. Yes,
because even if you know what the person is walking up.
Let's say they have whatever, a hammer in their hand
and they bought it and it's wrong and you know
what they're about to tell you. You can't just do that.
You have to listen to them first.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Well, yeah, otherwise you're making assumptions. And the thing about empathy,
which you said two things ago, empathy is about putting
yourself in the other person's shoes. I think a lot
of people don't understand that that's what empathy means, or
is it's not sympathizing what putting yourself in that person's shoes.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Correct. Correct, You have to handle a lot of emotions.
You have to handle people's situations. You might be able
to have to try to solve that problem technically. You
have to have all the skills. And to me, another
big part of it would be not letting it get
under your skin.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
That has to be one of the toughest things. I mean,
because if somebody comes up there and they're upset to
the point of anger and shouting and.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
You're the one taking it, yeah, and you have to
calm them down and turn it around, not take that
home with you. Calm them down and turn them around.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
So do these jobs pay more because they're in such
a demand.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
It depends on the industry. It depends on the company.
Just know, if you know you look need a job,
that's one that's in demand. But man does it demand
a lot of you speaking of it. We want to

MS place and I've been doing that for a few
years now and going to paramedic school. And yes, it's

No kidding to have what is that training like? Are
you working on I'm sorry to ask this, are you
like working on dummies?

Like what do you do?

Yeah? We do.

We train, get all our skills on on dummies essentially,
and then we do clinicals and do all the stuff
on wise patience.

Oh gosh, what's been your hardest thing? And what are
you really good at?

I'm really good at like airway stuffvation and that kind
of stuff. Partiology is a tough one.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Okay, Yeah, And how long is your training.

Paramedic SCLO is about a year long?

Okay, okay, okay, and not too terrible, but no, but
you got to put in the time and.

Then got to take state boards and pass all that, and.

Then after that you hope to on the daily just
be on call.

Yeah, and I work full time there, I'll be on
on my shifts and all of that. But it'll kind
of expand their service a little more. And we're starting
to get some more advanced providers.

So well, you certainly have a you'll have an exciting
I mean, you just never know what you're going to
run into every day.

Never do Nope, this isn't a medical question. But do
they let you or train you on how to use
the sirens? Oh?

Yeah, use a member day almost wow, Sam, it's probably
a button, yeah yeah, but there's got to be a
proper way to use it, you know, like when you're

It's got a cover. Yeah, they're going to do it
in K pop style.

And so at the end of every episode, which K
pop group did the best job of covering the American artist? Okay,
By the way, Eleno Ritchie is an executive producer, so
I would say chances are he might show up on
the show. Yeah, don't have a start date, but we
know it's Apple plus TV.

And there's a book coming later this year from an
artist who said he would never write a book, Kenny Chesney.

and she meant in the kitchen. Taylor is quite a
foodie and one of Phoebe's favorite desserts in the world is.

Tierra Massue teer Massue, which she gets from me.

Right, she learned about it from you, because.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
That's one of my favorite desserts, absolutely.

And I've never made it. I don't think you've ever
attempted to make it. We just order it where, you.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Know, when it's one of those one I look at it,
it's like this is too fancy. Sure that's somebody else
will make it.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Taylor's not intimidating by that kind of stuff. And she
made a from scratch teer Me Sue where she even
made the cream herself. There's some other parts of it
that she did that I missed. But she also instead
of using Lady Finger cookies, she wanted to do a
little something different. Tell him what what she did.

She decided to go with the scoff cookies and you know,
it's and I was a little concerned about that because
this is the first time that she's making tiermsus and
she's altering and I don't know how that would It's like, wow,
is that going to make it too sweet? But I
wasn't gonna, you know, judge. And then it was given
to Phoebe for her birthday and then it it disappeared
from the house because it was going to a party.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Phoebe wanted to take it to her friend's party right
in front.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Of your face.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
And it sure looks good.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
It had a heart on it because she did a
heart like stencil and then dusted the cocoa powder on top.
It was beautiful.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
But you know, but Phoebe decided that okay, we didn't
want to eat all of it. Mom and dadd need
to try this, so she sent it back home and
uh and it's honestly one of the best desserts I
think I've ever had in my life. I can't believe
how good it were.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
The best off.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
It was great, fantastic. Yeah, it was different, and I
mean it makes it much more rich than what Lady
Fingers would be.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
And what she did with the Marscapone cheese stop it.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Well, so Marscapone is the fluffy part. And you you know, Sam,
I don't know. This is where I would screw up
this recipe because you start with egg yolks that you're
cooking down with sugar, but you have to use a
double boiler. Show doesn't turn into scrambled eggs.

Yeah, it's all timing.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
And then you're folding in heavy whipping cream, and then
you're folding in what else.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
I don't remember.

House ordered the Treasury to stop making pennies. I believe

The Oh right, that's an even different margin. So we're

ye Number two, there was another plane crash collision yesterday.
This really was a jet owned by Vince Neil of
Motley Crue at Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale.

He wasn't on it though he was.

Not his girlfriend and another friend she broke his girlfriend
five ribs. He wasn't on board. The pilot died and
they're still figuring it out. But the landing gear failed
and you know, his jets smashed into a business jet
that was parked nearby on the tarmac and the NTSB
is in charge of the investigation now. And number three,

a major pet microchip company has gone out of business
without warning, called Save This Life. Veterinarians are saying, no
reason to panic. If that's the company you were registered with,
you just bring them to a vet. You don't have
to rechip them. You just have to register with a
different company. If it's important to you, that company was
called Save This Life. You're up to date.

Do you think you could be a customer service rep?
Customer service representative for a small company a major company,
doesn't matter.

I think it is. It can be challenging as long
as you know to expect that people who are complaining
about things. That's a lot of times customer service gets
the complaints and not you know, congratulations or confident.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Do you call a business back because you had a
great experience.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Right, so you have to kind of you have to
understand the purpose that that's you know, you're going to
be dealing with people who were upset at times.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Mentioned this yesterday and three things to know. It is
the most in demand job in twenty twenty five. Companies
everywhere need really good customer service reps. To me, because
you think that the job is to communicate and listen
and solve problem and manage expectations and manage emotions even
(12:03):
and have solutions. But at the end of the day,
if it's my company, what your real job is to
take that experience and turn it around that they leave
feeling good about you. To me, it is an insurmountable job. Yeah,
it sounds like a difficult job.

To do it does.

Here's what it takes. Communication skills, strong problem solving abilities,
positive attitude.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Up there we go.

Empathy, Yeah, patience Murphy, I'll love this. Active listening skills. Yes,
because even if you know what the person is walking up.
Let's say they have whatever, a hammer in their hand
and they bought it and it's wrong and you know
what they're about to tell you. You can't just do that.
You have to listen to them first.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Well, yeah, otherwise you're making assumptions. And the thing about empathy,
which you said two things ago, empathy is about putting
yourself in the other person's shoes. I think a lot
of people don't understand that that's what empathy means, or
is it's not sympathizing what putting yourself in that person's shoes.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Correct. Correct, You have to handle a lot of emotions.
You have to handle people's situations. You might be able
to have to try to solve that problem technically. You
have to have all the skills. And to me, another
big part of it would be not letting it get
under your skin.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
That has to be one of the toughest things. I mean,
because if somebody comes up there and they're upset to
the point of anger and shouting and.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
You're the one taking it, yeah, and you have to
calm them down and turn it around, not take that
home with you. Calm them down and turn them around.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
So do these jobs pay more because they're in such
a demand.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
It depends on the industry. It depends on the company.
Just know, if you know you look need a job,
that's one that's in demand. But man does it demand
a lot of you speaking of it. We want to

MS place and I've been doing that for a few
years now and going to paramedic school. And yes, it's
a great job. It's challenging, but.

No kidding to have what is that training like? Are
you working on I'm sorry to ask this, are you
like working on dummies?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Like what do you do?
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Yeah? We do.

We train, get all our skills on on dummies essentially,
and then we do clinicals and do all the stuff
on wise patience.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Oh gosh, what's been your hardest thing? And what are
you really good at?
Speaker 5 (14:57):
I'm really good at like airway stuffvation and that kind
of stuff. Partiology is a tough one.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Okay, Yeah, And how long is your training.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Paramedic SCLO is about a year long?
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Okay, okay, okay, and not too terrible, but no, but
you got to put in the time and.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Then got to take state boards and pass all that, and.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Then after that you hope to on the daily just
be on call.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Yeah, and I work full time there, I'll be on
on my shifts and all of that. But it'll kind
of expand their service a little more. And we're starting
to get some more advanced providers.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
So well, you certainly have a you'll have an exciting
I mean, you just never know what you're going to
run into every day.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Never do Nope, this isn't a medical question. But do
they let you or train you on how to use
the sirens? Oh?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Yeah, use a member day almost wow, Sam, it's probably
a button, yeah yeah, but there's got to be a
proper way to use it, you know, like when you're
crossing intersections and all that stuff. Okay, yeah, all right,
