Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I don't know if you guys saw the news this
week about to Be which is a free you know
service where you can watch stuff.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
They carried the Super Bowl free last year.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Oh cool.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
So okay, they're owned by Fox Corporation. And have you
seen this headline that they have scored a treasure trove
of cartoons to stream soon? They shared it on their
social My cartoon era starts March the first. They've got
all the cartoons you could ever want starting streaming, which

(00:38):
means free whatever in a week, like a bunch of
Looney Tunes stuff, like all of it.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Okay, it's the.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Real Looney Tune. Yes, not the edit the violence edited
out Looney Tune.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Oh. I don't have the answer to that question, but
we'll find out on March the first.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Okay that matters. Really, I'm a purest Powerpuff Girls.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Also, yeah, I mean the list is long.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Blowsome, Bubbles and Buttercup.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
There you go, Justice League.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I mean, we're talking about stuff that goes all the
way back to the seventies to the nineties, two thousands,
Tom and Jerry, no words here, no talking.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
I mean you're talking about going back to the forties
when you're talking about those cartoons.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
You know, it's funny about Tom and Jerry.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I didn't know it was that old when I was
consuming it as a child, but I think it works
and stands up. I kind of like that the thing
about cartoons to me that I love. And just stay
with me here a second. When you're a child, you
don't understand the difference between reality. You know, if you
see on the news or whatever, but in cartoon, when

(01:44):
you're watching a cartoon, you know it's not real.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
You know, it's not That's why I was always surprised
what Sam was saying that they edited those because you know, obviously,
you know, I'm not going to do what Wiley Coyote
is doing, falling off the cliff and hitting the you know.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
I don't even know where to find acting at.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I just like cartoons for that reason. It's just childhood
right right there. We've also got Yogi Bear.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
They're going to have that. Oh wow, I never watched
that or knew it.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, it's old stuff like old and like you get
excited about Power Puff.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
The Smurfs cartoons.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Like the original Smurfs, and then all the different versions,
the real Adventures, I'm sorry, the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Oh well, now that's old. I used to love Johnny Quest.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Really here's the most exciting one I wanted to tell you.
It's a huge list. These are just a few for you.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
See him cowon Chicken, Oh yes, on.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Tov March the first coming up in six fifty jod
he has three things to know today.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Up next, I gotta tell you this story about this
sweet lady that I picked up at Walmart. Question for you,
have you ever picked up somebody on the.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Side of the road like a hitchhiker?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Not necessarily a hitchhiker. Here's a story. Going to Walmart
in my regular shopping and as I was pulling into
the parking lot, there was this elderly woman walking with
three or four bat Walmart bags, and behind her she
was pulling one of those you know, those pop up canopies,
the ten by ten canopies. I to use her parties
and that kind of in tailgating, and you know, it

(03:27):
comes in a thing and it's got wheels on it,
and she's pulling this down through the parking lot. You know,
I thought to myself, what would Murphy do. So I
circled back around and I pulled over it, and I
was like, hey, you look like you're really struggling here.
Would you like a ride? Because I'm assuming if she

(03:48):
walked to Walmart, She's not too far away. You know,
it wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience for me.
I guess I look trustworthy because she said sure, And
so that's the part. So she got my car and
it was only like a half a mile away from
one oh still, and so we had a quick little conversation.

(04:08):
She was buying the pop up tent for her grandson's
birthday party that was happening that day, and they didn't
have a tent, so she was doing it and I
was like, oh, that's sweet. And also we really didn't
have much time to talk. But when I got to
where she was, her house dropped her off. She tried
to pay me.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Oh no, yeah, what would Murphy do?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
No? Yeah, I have my own conscience there. I said.
It was not enough, ma'am, But you know, I was like, no,
thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
So sweet.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Were you worried that she would say no thank you
with a stranger danger thing? Because you were a stranger, but.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
I mean I'm also I mean I'm dressed nicely, I'm clean,
car everything, you know.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
So that's that's a rarity today, honestly because some people
would say no, no, thank you, because.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
If you'd have seen her struggling with that, yeah, pulling
that thing. Because when I had passed her, she was
pulling and it fell over, and it's like it's kind
of like when your suitcase falls over and you can't
get it back.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Those things are kind of heavy.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah they are.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
I'm glad you did that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I'm glad it worked out, you know, because honestly, even
if I was struggling with all that, you know, I
don't know if I would.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Get in the car with it, even if he was
dressed nice, nicely.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, Tom Hanks set to play a former president trending
now Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I want you to think of all the roles that
we've seen Tom Hanks in over the years, which has
been so many, Houston.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
We have a problem.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
He embodies the leading man who but also the everyday man.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, he just does he does it so well. My
mom always said life was like a box of chocolate.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I always wonder when he did this movie Chrest Gump,
did he know that everyone would imitate him for the
rest of his life? And maybe our favorite is an
animated Tom Hanks.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
He's not his face Ranger, he doesn't fight evil or Oh.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Tom Hanks so fantastic set to play a president, a
former president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Oh really,
it's an upcoming film adaptation. He's been played a lot before,
and this is not a biopic of his life for
his presidency.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
It's one of those snapshots in.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Time based on these novels Lincoln and the Bardeux, about
his relationship, Lincoln's relationship to his eleven year old son
who passed away. It's about empathy and about grief. So
it sounds really serious. And it's supposed to be made
with a mix of stop motion animation and live action,

(06:47):
so I.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Don't know what that means. It just seems to odd.
But Tom Hanks is also producer on the project.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Coming up next.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Sam has Music News, YEP, got a gift for you
from Taylor Swift.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Sam Scott Music News.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Taylor Swift treating all her fans to a little behind
the scenes look at the filming of her opal lte video.
She posted these on her socials earlier this week. You
get to see Lewis Capaldi because he was in the video.
He's a photographer in the video and everything and everything
else that all her different costumes in the video is.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Brick a nineties esque video.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yes. The reasons she's doing it is because Opa Lighte
went to number one on the charts. A second song
that went to number one from the Life of a Showgirl.
By the way, this song being number one gives her
fourteen number ones overall. That puts her in third place
on the list for most number ones. You want to
guess the top two.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Michael Jackson Nope, Oh I'm out beatles number one and
second place Mariah Carey, Queen of Christmas.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Harry Styles a week after he drops his new album
and has a free concert in England. He's going to
be hosting and also warming on SNL. The album comes
out on the sixth of March. Kiss All the Time
Disco occasionally. He's gonna be on March fourteenth on Saturday
Night Live.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
He's funny. Look out for those.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
And I remember you saying, Joe. This is the second
time he's doing this hosting and performing. You know, he's
been on there seven times altogether now and this goes
all the way back twenty twelve, thirteen and fourteen. He
was on there with the guys from One Direction. Of course,
he did a Jimmy Fowl. He was a musical guest
on the Jimmy Fallon episode. So it's not his first rodeo,

(08:34):
as they say. And earlier this month, you know, Share,
she popped up on the Grammy Awards like a surprise presenter. Wow,
she's got another surprise appearance coming up next Wednesday. She
is the keynote speaker for the National Conference for Women
in their nationwide event. Oh wow, you're saying, yeah, but
whooped you do? I can't be there. I relax because

(08:55):
it's a virtual event all day, so you can log on.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I do want to log on.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yes, it's going to be March the fourth now by
Share is going to be interviewed by Lisa Ling. Yes,
some other ladies you may know are also going to
be keynote speakers. Today's show format Today Show host Cohota Codby, Yes,
Cynthia Arrivo love it. I don't know if she'll be
Green or Not and Nicole Kidman. Yes, maybe we can
get some answers from Nicole.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
No, that's not what it's about. Oh okay, it's a
women's Day.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
It's next Wednesday, coming up next.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Jody has three things to know today.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Number One, Apple wants you to know they will not
send virus alerts through your iPhone's calendar. So if you're
getting them, it's a scammer. Something is busted into your phone,
maybe you clicked on the wrong pop up or something
like that. But calendar alerts that say hey, you've won
money or your bank account has been compromised, be aware

(09:51):
of that. It's annoying, but it's pretty easy to get
rid of. Apple says, go to the calendar app and
delete any subscribed calendars or anything with a random name
or email attached. Number two from the Today Show, Savannah
Guthrie released a new video pleading yesterday for the safe
return of her missing mother, Nancy, and offered a one

(10:12):
million dollar reward. She described the weight as agony. She
acknowledged that her mother may already be gone. I'm sure
that was hard for her to say, and she addressed
the kidnapper or kidnappers directly saying it's never too late
to do the right thing. Please come forward now. And
number three drugs ozipic, and we go be about to

(10:32):
get less expensive pretty soon. The drug maker, Novo Nordisk
plans to cut the list prices to like six hundred
and seventy five a month, that's next year, down.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
From one thousand a month.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
It's mostly aimed at those who are using insurance and
dealing with high deductibles, and all of that price cuts
coming because competition heating up and with different weight loss
drugs from different companies becoming more affordable in different ways.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Yes, you're up to date. Three things to know today.
Take us along when it's convenient for you.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
It's the Murphy, Sam and Jody podcast every single day
plus after the show, and you can subscribe to our
YouTube channel and watch it.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Hey, real quick, I want to say a birthday shout
out today to Today's my late dad's birthday. All right,
so I'm sure he's hearing it somewhere anyway, Happy birthday, Dan,
We love you. He would be eighty three. He would
have been eighty three.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Switching gears here, I wanted to tell you guys about
we've all been we're all consumers and we all go
shopping and sometimes you get up sold and you know
you're being upsold. I don't know how you feel about
it when it happens, but I want to tell you
that it can be a good thing. So the other
day I rolled into one of the big cosmetic places

(11:48):
that smells fantastic and the lights are all good.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
You know what I'm talking about. Sephora.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Okay, so I'll roll in because that's where I buy
my concealer I put underneath my little you know, and
it's important that that's the correct one for me because
it matches my skin tone. Underneath one of my eyes,
I have a dark freckle that people have my whole
life said, hey, you got something on your face.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah. I always used to think it was part of
your messcaa that.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Like, you used to tell me you got something on
your face. I'm like, yeah, it's a freckle. Anyway, I
learned that for a few years, you find the right
concealer and people stop doing that. And so I had
found one and it was actually their brand, it was
the Sephora brand.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
So I rolled in. I was on the way.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
I was about to be on the way home with
dinner Murph, and so I'm like, I need number eight
or whatever.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
I had the number saved in my phone. Of course,
I'm like, I need number eight.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
And it's like, oh, what do you think happened in
the world of cosmetics? They changed the whole formula.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
I'm sorry, man, we don't carry number eight anymore.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
But can I get your two? Number four?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
So I'm standing there dap, you know, putting the little
testing out that same brand with their new formulas to
try to match it. And I grabbed a seven this time.
And then the beautiful girl comes up. She's gorgeous, and
she's may I help you? And I said, well, here's
what's up. I used to be an eight and she goes, yeah,
they changed it all. So she sat me down at

(13:08):
the mirror, a la la la, and I wondered if
I was about to get upsold to a higher you know, thing.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
From the Sephora brand.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
And sure enough, she brings this other concealer out, and
I'm like, okay, she's gonna upsell me. And she did
tell me I picked a good one in the Saphora
and it would have been fine, but she put a
different one on me, and it's the.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Best one I've ever used in my life.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
And it takes less It really takes the tiniest little
drop to cover it all. So sometimes when you're being
upsold and on the way out she gave me samples. Yeah,
so sometimes when you're being upsold, it is don't automatically
say no, don't automatically have the don't upsell me hat
on such a cool experience coming.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Up in seven fifty, Jodi has three things to know
today and next year. Morning pick me up?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Morning, picked me up time. If you're introverted, I want
you to be proud of it.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Okay, we're going to get to why you can be
proud of it.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
A little inside is that Sam has been on the
edge of his seat knowing that the morning picked me
Up today was going to be about being introverts, because
I'm an introvert, all right, I want you? Are you
proud of it?

Speaker 4 (14:13):
I guess out thinking that you shouldn't be.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Well, I mean there was a stigma you're from society
if you're an introvert?

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Sure too quiet? Yeah, to inward knob, I've never thought
of that.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Yeah, introverts have a lot of unique strengths. I remember
hearing one time introverts run the world because they're thoughtful
and they absorb everything and they're slow to make decisions.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Look, my late my late dad was very much an introvert, yes,
but a great mind in one of the funniest people
I knew.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
And when he did have something to say, everybody stopped,
oh yeah, to let it.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
In and listen.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
So some qualities of most introverts. Not everybody fits into
a box. Some people are a little bit of both.
I didn't say that, but if you are an introvert
and you're listening to this and you've been told that,
especially if you felt the stigma, I want you to
be proud of the thing that a few things Introverts
think things through before they speak, which is a superpower.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
It is a superpower.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Because we all know, we've all experienced where words can
burn and you can't take words back. Introverts are slower
to do that. They're great at active listening. They're really
absorbing what you're saying. And if you say something to
an introvert and you don't get a response back right away,
they're marinating on it and you might get a response later.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
That's also the way my dad was. He was interested
in everything around him. I don't know that every introvert
is necessarily like that, but he was interested in everything
around him, so he did absorb and he would have
a conversation back on things.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
You liking this, Sam so far genius.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
The other thing is is another reason that introverts can
be set up for such success in life. And you
guys will feel this is that introverts are really good
at folks on one thing at a time. Too many
tabs open does not speak to them. And so if
you've got a goal of one thing at a time,
you're focusing on weight loss or not drinking, or even
something small like getting someone to go out with you, whatever,

(16:13):
you can focus on that and give it your undivided
And the final one is deep relationships with the people
closest to them. It'll have its quality over quantity for introverts.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Genius.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Trending now.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider Taylor Sheridan's next big show, big drama,
sweeping thing that we can all lose ourselves in if
we so choose. If you want some drama, Okay. It's
called The Madison. It's coming soon in March. It is dropping, okay,
with some big heavy hitters in Hollywood starring.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
We've got Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer. My center, My
Soul is Gone, You will you go?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
This is about later It's Krustle.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
So this center's on a grief stricken family who relocate
from New York City to Montana.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
And apparently this is more you know, intimate than what.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Taylor shared and normally brings us, meaning more drama and
less oh wow factor.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
You know, how does he always get these big names
that's Harrison Ford and Halen Mirran and Tim McGraw.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Because I understand all these people that you're throwing out.
They're working people. They're looking for good projects to come
across their desks and.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
To come back to TV.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Which is which is right? Which is correct?

Speaker 2 (17:41):
And so it's they say it's not set really in
the Yellowstone Universe, so that you're not going to see.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Rip is not going to come back as it. Okay, So.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
March fourteenth, we get the first three episodes and then
the following week the rest of that first season will land.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
By the way, next it's keep the Wow Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Keep the Wow Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
We are here to celebrate your wows if even if
it's something small, or you want to celebrate your kids,
bring it eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
It's going on, Samantha.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Well, first of all, I'd like to say I love
you guys. I listen to you every morning.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Thank you for that.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
I was just participating in the keep the Wow Wednesday.
So I recently went through a divorce and having to
start over. It's almost forty years old.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
And so I went back to school.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
And I just wanted to share the wow of I
have three a's and a bright yeah yeah, and I'm
in school for paralegal. I work full time. I'm in
school full time.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
And I'm also a mom.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Oh my gosh, man's full like boom boom boom.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
So I had to start over, and I said, I'm
going to make it worth my while this time.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Fantastic. It's hard to know, did you Did you always
know that paralegal was kind of where you wanted to
go or you just decided to choose it?

Speaker 5 (19:05):
What?

Speaker 4 (19:06):
How Well, I was.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
In school for sign language interpreter. I was in a
life altering accident and I broke my neck in three places.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
So I'm limited on what I can do moving forward
as the progression of my injuries. However, I've always shown
interest in law for one reason or another. And I'm
a big history person, so I love history. So I
went into paralegal.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
And what's the hardest part of it?

Speaker 5 (19:36):
You have to do it all online because I'm a
full time employee, so it's all online.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Well, you seem to be doing fine. When will you
complete it?

Speaker 5 (19:44):
December twenty twenty sixth I will have my associate of.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Applied sciences right awesome, So exciting for you just to
take control of your life.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
That is a wow. I'm impressed.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Yeah, I just like I said, I love you guys.
I listen to you every morning.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
Thank you for getting my base started well.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Thank you, Samantha, and we appreciate you sharing your WOW
with us.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
That's a big life wow. Huge, that's not a little thing.
To take control of your life and make those kind
of moves.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
I'm telling you, keep the wow.

Speaker 2 (20:14):

little or big, and.

We'll celebrate it and clap for you.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
You can also send them to our Facebook page, Instagram, YouTube,
or TikTok.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to note today.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Here's three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Number one, we all love a good weather app, right,
and you've got a lot of choices. So there's a
new one that's been developed that offers fun alerts cool things.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
And I don't mean temperature, like there's.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Going to be a rainbow in your neighborhood or a
beautiful sunset. It's Acme Weather, developed by the same guys
who created the old Dark Sky app before Apple bought
it for twenty five bucks a year. You get notified
when the moon is about to look super cool. You
also get alternate forecast if things are the forecasts are wrong,
like if you expected writing and it didn't happen, you

(21:04):
get an alert from this one.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
Right.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Moving on, number two, Christina applegates her MS battle.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
She has been open about it.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
In an interview that was published by People magazine yesterday,
she revealed that she is bedridden most days with the
pain of MS. What she looks forward to the most
is taking her daughter to school. She gets out of bed,
drives her to school. She said, it's my favorite thing
to do. It's the only time we have together by ourselves,
something for all of us to think about. You know,

(21:33):
the luxury of driving your kid to school, thanks to
actress Christina Applegates sharing that. And number three, there's a
Fire Department of volunteer when in New Jersey getting kids
to shovel out fire hydrants the snow getting creative with
the hydrant challenge. If you shovel a three foot diameter
around the hydrants, take a photo, take the photos and

(21:55):
post the locations, you can win gift cards fifty dollars.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Or more about a ride on the fire truck that too.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
You're in the note three things to know today, if.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
It's new and you can eat it, Sam's found it.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Here's the food, dude, I have.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Some free food to tell you about. Okay, Chipotle is
celebrating a National Tortilla Day, which was yesterday. Yes, for
some reason, they gave away free chips and caeso yesterday
and they're doing it again today.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
I think I know why why. There's so many little stipulations.
You got to do it in the app or whatever,
you got to do it with it, or just like
give us two days to let this sink in and.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
You have to use the code Chips twenty six Chips
twenty six.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Wendy's tomorrow is giving away free chili with a five
dollars purchase because it's National Chili Day. Same stipulations, Jody.
Purchase online or through the Wendy's app. You ordered five
dollars worth of food and you can get a free chill.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
A smart way to do it.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
You know, it is a great business decision. You got
an app and you need some action on the app.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
And you get free chili. I got a whole bunch
of new chips that Laze is introducing. You know there's
simple brand right well, they now have a new one
that's coming out Cheetos Puffs, Spicy White Cheddar okay, and Murphy.
From what I understand reading it, it's not gonna be
too spicy, Okay, So you and I can handle it.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Yeah, because the red, the lack of the red will
throw you off, right, poor baby. But beat in the
bowl and don't label it for somebody.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Can't handle it. I'll eat it, although I'm not eating
chips right now.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
You know, we have the protein fad that's on right
now with a lot of food products. Well, looks like
fiber might be the next one, because Free to do
Lay is introducing two new fiber smart foods, you know,
the popcorn and two new fiber rich sun chips. The
smart food popcorns toffee and sea salt and sweet and salty.
They each have six grams of fiber. The sun chips

(23:43):
are gonna be Southwestern Queso and spicy halpenio.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
That sounds delicious.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I will say I don't want it to be a
fad because you do need protein, okay.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Muscle is what holds you up and makes you strong,
and you do need protein.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
You need it from your mom asteroid. And you do need.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Fiber okay, of which occur naturally from lace and a
lot of natural foods.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Ka uh. Eggo got a couple of new waffle flavors
coming our way. Cinnamon roll which is gonna have creamy
icing bits and real cinnamon in it, and cookie this
sounds like dessert cookies and cream waffles, real cocoa and
white cream chips are gonna be in that. One man
and we had a little competition for the Reester bunny
this year from Jeff. Jeff Bunnies are.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Out for Easter Chocolate on the outside.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Jeff on the inside. And they also have Jeff eggs
coming out this year.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
You know, okay, you know, good for Jeff because it's
about time that had.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
A little.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
But I'm sticking with my Reese's eggs coming up.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Jody has another Hollywood Outsider and next it's keep the
Wold Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Keep the Wow Wednesday, and you're sharing yours with us
on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Murphy Samon, Jody dot Com, all
the places. So I want to dig into some of these.
Sometimes it's something you're celebrating for you keep your wows.
When you wow yourself, keep it, remember it for your
own confidence. But sometimes it's your people and your kids, especially,
Sheila sent mine. My kid is doing what she absolutely loves.

(25:17):
She is a certified cosmatologist.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
She's twenty.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
So proud of her setting her mind to it and
getting it accomplished. Also, Sheila, I've got to know, if
your child is a cosmetologist, do you get to be
you know, yeah, do you get your hair?

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Do you get the like I'm just so curious about that.
That's an exciting thought.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Felicia said. My oldest is on the spectrum. He has
a part time job at Walmart that can be overwhelming
for him at times, but he still does. But he
still goes and is learning to cope with his anxieties.
He has expressed interest in learning to drive. He has
his permit and we are waiting for the delivery of
his car.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Oh wow, when he was.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
A child, I had never imagined he'd have come this far.
I'm so very proud of him.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Congratulations.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
That's a couple of whiles there, for sure. About your kiddos.
Keep those coming, and thank you, Felicia.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
I got some ooahs here for your cousin James.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Right, who's graduating from the Marine Corps on Friday.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Graduating boot camp Friday, and these are from our Facebook page.
Donna says, congratulations to him and his whole family. A
few good men. Yeah, absolutely, Dianna says, my marine graduated
MCRD Paris Island and we had some fun family t
shirts too.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Yeah, there may be some of that my family who's
able to go as they're traveling today.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
And Ron says, congrats to all new marines Urah and simplify.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Yes, Linda says that she's a proud Army mom and
now she's a proud Army veteran mom nice and she's
got the utmost respect for our men and women in uniform. Absolutely,
Linda and Laura says, graduation day for us was really emotional,
full of pride and tears. You feel tremendous joy and
for each and every new Marine.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
You know, pride is the word that keeps coming up,
and it's true, it's what we feel for James right now.
But when when you say you're proud of your person
in the military, you're proud of them for taking their
life into their own hands, but you're also proud of
what they're doing for all of us. So it's a
it's a pride thing that goes beyond just your own family.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Keep it coming, We like having you along.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider, Jody's Hollywood Outsider, Ladies.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
There's a story that we all gravitate to and love
and it will be retold and retold forever. Okay, pride
and prejudice, and it's gonna be hard.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
For me to ever ever beat the cure A knightly one,
do you don it's mister Darcie not ef I can open.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
That movie if it is on I'm useless for the
day it plays.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
They're making another version of this.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I didn't remember this, but yes, Netflix has released a teaser.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
There's no like words in it.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
It's just visuals for the upcoming Pride and Prejudice limited series,
so it'll be episodes.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
I'm excited. It's a story, Sam, don't shake your head.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
I don't get tired of the story. Yeah, that's it's what.
It's a classic.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
It's the same story though.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Emma Corn will star as Elizabeth Bennett, Jack Loudon as
mister Darcy and major Academy Award winning actress that you
can't turn your face away from. Olivia Coleman will be
the mother Missus Bennett. We know we're getting the series
premiering this fall. I don't know the date, but I'll
let you know. It's a classic. I'll always give it

(28:37):
a chance. But if you ever want to let the
best one get into your heart, wow.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
It's the cure Knightley one. I'm telling you that's quite
all right.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Also, I have Jane Ayres coming to TV soon with
star Amy leu Wood. You know her from the White
Lotus said in nineteenth century England. Jane Eyre it's coming to.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Take us along on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Anytime you want to hang out and you miss parts
of the show, you never have to miss it. There's
also the YouTube channel you can subscribe to there and
watch after the show every day.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Jody, I loved your morning pick me up this morning
about you know, if you're an introvert, you don't need
to feel bad about it. It's not a negative.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
It's just wow.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, right, And we're all a mix of you know both.
I realized one thing though about because I do thrive
in the social settings, I really I enjoy being with people.
It doesn't mean, I know, want my downtime, but I
enjoy that. But it made me think about something that
I really had to try hard the other day to
tell myself, you're not doing this wrong. Both of you

(29:39):
have kind of teased me over the years when we've
done get get togethers and it takes me forever to leave.
Oh yeah, you want to explain that, Jody.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Yeah, he can't say goodbye like it's it's time to leave.
I'm standing there with like a coat and a purse,
and you know Sam's already gone. He's like right, And
we've sat and we've said goodbye, and it's a it's
the person that you're saying goodbye to knows it's over.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
And you don't. Yeah, right, look, yeah, it's real.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Well I have there are people who tease me and
they call that that. You know that I'm the one
who rolls the credits at the end of a gathering.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Second, I thought we we work with I don't remember
rolling the credits again, I remembering that one.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yeah, I don't remember who said that to me. I
don't think they work with us anymore. But it was always,
you know, Murphy rolls the credits. Ye, but you know
it so get together that I was at last week.
I had to leave a little bit early because of
a flight.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Oh but that killed you.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
It did because I wanted to tell everybody goodbye, and
I couldn't tell everybody goodbye. I mean I were about
six or seven people. I was able to go fist,
bump and you know, walk out without disturbing because the
meeting was in progress when this was going on. But
I literally had to tell myself, it's okay, you don't
have to go tell everybody in the room goodbye. But
that's just what happens to me naturally, because I enjoy

(30:54):
seeing the people that were there. I always want just
like when I greet somebody at the beginning, I want to,
you know, do the other greeting at the end.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
When I first started dating you, Murphy, all those years ago,
I remember we would go to a party or something
and I saw this in action on the front end
and the back end, and I thought.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
He acts like he's the host. Like you're not hosting this.
It's just you being who you are.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
You know know that you sometimes do need to wrap
it up, but let yourself be it.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
I've tried the signal that doesn't work.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Have I told you both how much I've enjoyed doing
the show Today I got it.
