Speaker 1 (00:02):
So you're having a tough time getting started this morning.
It was tough for me too.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It was because I'm such a late night for me,
or if.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
You even if you called an early night, We're not
gonna let you miss anything. We've got the highlights from
last night's super Bowl for you. We definitely want to
hear from you this morning. Favorite commercials, highlight. You know
you show all of that.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
National anthem, the game. This is us for Sam.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Yeah, eight seven seven, three to one oh four ms.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
J You know I've been eating right for a couple
of months now and losing weight and all this stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Jody has been if you noticed that, and a lot
of people are complimenting you.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
A lot of people can see it. I mean, it's funny.
The first time it happened, I'm like, how do you know?
It's like, are you losing weight? Like, how do you know?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I can? Like I can tell and I see you
every day.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, I found I've learned because Phoebe, our Phoebe is
thirteen now, her birthday was yesterday. I'm still trying to
accept that that she's thirteen, and it hurts. But I
realized what my one of my big weakness foods is
I can I can say no to like Dorito's, and
I love Dorito's. Like I've had Dorito's in the backseat

(01:07):
of the car for the girls for a week and
I haven't touched them. Chocolate cake, birthday cake there, and
so there was birthday cake at the house yesterday again,
and there was birthday cake at the house last weekend
because she had some. You know, we had some extra
early birthday. It's very hard.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Chocolate cake was good, but usually I'm tolo on cake.
You know, I'm not. You're what I can take it
or leave it. Oh that's not total, that's total. Lie
something hot.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
You can't find the words half the time. And you
came shoving.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Stop.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Okay, take as your weakness. I get it, man.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
So I'm thinking, get the cake out of here. Can
I bring some cake to work?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
You guys want.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Coming out Hollywood?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
First one of the morning, before we get to your
super Bowl fun, a really fun comedian headed to the
Olympics for coverage which starts this week.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
That's next.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Coming up more post super Bowl fun. First, Jody's got
a little Hollywood updates.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
But you guys know that Roseanne is coming back to
TV this spring, and it's not like a reboot. It's
another season to pick up where they left off. And no,
Dan did not die.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
I thought he did.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I think she wrote that he died as some sort
of she was mad at him, so she was doing
that to her own therapy kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, I don't remember the season finale. I don't remember what.
You don't call it a season finale, this show.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
For series finale, I don't think I watched it. So
for you say Dan died was a surprise to me.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I was a big of the show while it was on.
So when you say pick up, they're picking up right
where they left off, or they're picking up fifteen twenty.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Years later, picking up later.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
But here's the deal, because there's such a big question
mark about it, the network ABC is doing Roseanne the
return as part of a special twenty twenty thing. So
if you do want to pick it back up, they're
going to just do a twenty twenty thing. It's in
depth all about the show then, how groundbreaking everybody thought
it was, and what you can expect going forward, and

(03:29):
they're going to have guests on this twenty twenty edition
famous people who appeared on the show, you know before
they was a famous George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Really, Oh, I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I didn't. I know he was.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I feel like he was on Growing Pains when he
was a kid. He was, but I didn't know he
was on. Roseanne and Ellen DeGeneres and they're going to
give special interviews to ABC about their time on Roseanne.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I'm gonna have to go back and watch those. I
didn't remember Ellen being on it either.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Jo think Roseanne with groundbreaking when it started, Yes, I
did too. I thought it was the most realistic family
I'd ever seen.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
On T Well. She took basically her stand up comedy
yeah you know, hey, does that sound familiar, right, and
turned it into a TV show.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
But it felt realistic. Yeah, those kids weren't weren't the
perfect family, right that all their flaws. The parents argued
about things that you could those were kind of things
we're being argued in houses all the time.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
John Goodman was just so awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
You was no I think about it that time period.
You had Roseanne take her stand up converted to a
TV show. Jerry Seinfeld did that and Tim Allen did
the same thing with Home improvement.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
That's a formula to write that down. Okay, look for
that this month, February fifteenth, on twenty twenty. Also, you
know our Olympics. Winter Olympics begins this week on Thursday.
Leslie Jones, comedian Leslie Jones from SNL will return as
a contributor for for NBC and she'll be in Korea
for this.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
So funny, so much fun Up to date with Shoonty's
Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Are you join us anytime? Eight seven seven three one
zero four am as Jay?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Who do we have on the.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Way, David Well, I have Crystal on hold, and she
wants to correct the world on something you're probably saying correctly.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
All right, got more super Bowl recap coming up. You
know what's funny to me is earlier last week when
we were talking about all the crazy things that people
bet on for Super Bowl. That conversation actually want to
turn it into a number of phone calls about how
you actually pronounced the state Nevada.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
M h.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I think I'm the one I said Nevada because I
make that mistake a lot.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
And Devin called he's born and raised there. He cleared
that up right? How are you, Crystal good?

Speaker 7 (05:35):
I was just calling because I heard the gentleman commenting
about the Nevada versus Nevada right. I am born and
raised Las Vegas girl, and it absolutely bugs the heck
out of me when somebody says Nevada because it is
so wrong. It's like nailv on the chalkboard for me.
And the best way I try to help people is

(05:59):
think of how you say Atlanta and how you say
Havana right, the same thing. Nevada is the same eight
to awesound?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Got it? Oh, thank you for that.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
So you're a Nevada native.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Nevada, Nevada, Nevada.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I don't want to keep saying I'm so close together
because that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I don't want to mess myself up.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
It's one of those things where you've been told the
correct way, but sometimes you say it right and sometimes
you don't. And I hate that too. I'm sorry, I apologize,
that's okay, that's okay.

Speaker 7 (06:35):
I just wanted to chime in if that's any help.
To think of Atlanta and Havana. That's a couple of
ways to remind you of how to say Nevada correctly.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Hey, we could do Nevada, who Nana or not exactly right?

Speaker 2 (06:49):
That would help me because the song always.

Speaker 8 (06:51):
Helps Nevada, way me Nevada.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Now they can also use this for.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Banana Savannah Savannah Nana.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, you're gonna have to stop saying banana.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
We got a bunch of bananas.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Good to hear from you, Crystal, appreciate it. Eight seven
seven three one zero four six seven five anytime you
want to jump in. Coming up next next producer David's
got the mail bag?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Do we have, David?

Speaker 6 (07:24):
Well, Deborah wants to share away. You can binge watch
your favorite Netflix shows and still lose weight at the
same time.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
There you go. So I wound up being your favorite
commercial last night super Bowl?

Speaker 9 (07:38):
Play?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, play or or song by Germans? Yeah, oh you
meant playing the game. I want to know what you
meant by play? Okay, yeah there was a game. Well, no,
I know that, but I'm just thinking commercials. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
We all went to see Phoebes play yesterday too.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Right, Yeah, but I'm talking about play the game.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
I kind of thought play too, like.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
So much about a super Bowl Anyway, We love to
from you, and we'll be sharing some of your comments
coming from her Facebook page.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Also, it's done for the producers. Nailed a David, What's
in your bag today?

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Well, Deborah want to share a quick little trick she
does to help stay in shape while continuing to binge
watch your favorite Netflix shows. She says, the only time
to watch Netflix is on the treadmill. If you get
into a really good series that motivates you to get
on the treadmill. And just so you know, she says
she watched it from her phone instead of having you know,
I guess it's hard to hear because had her headphones in.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Okay, treadmill is loud about that?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Well, that's cool, you know what. Good for her. That's
a smart idea.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
That's how I My cousin in law, Philip watches TV shows.
He does it on his treadmill, like in the guest
bedroom with a TV blaring.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
When I had that stationary bike, I was doing that.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yeah, for that one month of your life you had.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
We see, we see how well that works.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
I tried.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
My grandmother did the old school thing. She had the
stationary bike and watch soap opera. Yeah, she stayed on it. Man,
She was doing that stationary bike into her late eighties.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Deborah, that is very smart, because I'm with you, always
at war with myself because I love to binge watch something.
I love a good story. I seek that escape. We
all need it. However, couch potato, I don't want to
be so boom.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Thank you Deborah for that, and Jody wean.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Over the weekend, you and Murphy had a big decision
to make over your latest foster dog.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Papa, the bulldog who likes to chewse shoes. Well, we've
been loving all the pictures you've been posting.

Speaker 6 (09:22):
Connie says, too cute, and she wants to know how
is he with all your other dogs?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Oh, he's great with the other dogs.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
They're just not great with him, except for Stella.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
She's sort of a smaller pip and she's very timid,
and so he's very interested in her. For whatever crazy reason.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
He wants to command her and rule her.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
And so I mean they but she's you know, when
she's drawing the line, she knows, she tells them.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
And this weekend was decision weekend.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
So coming up we'll do that just before eight, the
decision to have her to hold or to rehume mister Papa.
So Thank you. Reach out anytime on Facebook or Instagram.
Up next with Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
All right, David, we well we gotcha.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
We want the godfather update you being the godfather to
your soon to.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Be Yes, I'm on the godfather, but not such a
good father good godfather so far.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
In case you didn't know, Preducer David is going to
be a godfather. This is his second niece nephew. We
don't know the gender yet because his primary role as godfather,
first role is to keep the secret of the gender.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Oh that's gonna be tough.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, and you're in charge of the gender revealed party, right,
So what is this? What's the update on your godfather,
noss and what? Why do you think you're bad?

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Said?

Speaker 6 (10:40):
You think you're already the worst godfather in world. Well,
I'm first of all, like the baby's not going to
be here till July. I'm excited, you know, to welcome
it to the world, see it and everything.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
But it's an that's adequate party planning time, So.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
I should be excited to see the first picture of
the baby. Well, my sisters sent me that they went
got their sonogram, right, And I'm sorry, but I'm i
can't even fake it.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
I'm like, oh cute, but what am I looking at?

Speaker 10 (11:02):
Right?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
It's a little bitty bean.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
It's eaty bitty and it just I started laughing because God,
I wish I could see my godchild, but I can't,
and so I can't be as excited as the parents are.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
There's this like they don't have it circled like on
the sonogram, like this is it?

Speaker 6 (11:18):
They sent me a picture of it. I have it
and I could post online if y'all can please do
it out.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yeah, it's kind of like now, it's kind of like
that puzzle where if you hold it just at the
right distance you start to see.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
It basically, but it really started reminding me of that
episode of Friends when Rachel couldn't see her baby.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah, my kids, it you just said that you did.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
I know I did, and wanted to think it was
a terrible mother.

Speaker 11 (11:43):
I come here, look it's it's it's right there.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Oh it's beautiful. I see it.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
Now, did you really do it?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
A terrible godfather? We can't see it. Let me let
me bring it.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
The first picture is very hard to see, but as
she continues to go back to get them precious, Jo's
doctor really see them. It's prescious.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Joni's doctor absolutely had to point it out to me
when we had the first ultrasound with Taylor because I
couldn't see it. I was all, Rachel, the.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
First one is hard. But some of the sonogram pictures
that are coming precious, beautiful. I still have my favorite ones.
We have one of Taylor with her little legs cross
because she did that.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah, we'll share it with us and we'll see if
we can see the baby.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Right.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Look for the.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Post on Facebook coming up your Hollywood all right, justin
Timberlake's halftime show, why it all happened the way it
did and why the Prince thing was a projection and
not a hologram Jody's Hollywood Outsider thirteen minutes of justin
Timberlake last night. You know, he started with his new

(13:01):
song Filthy, but he wasn't even like out.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
He was like underneath the whole.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Thing, And I think it was confusing for the audience
at first. It's like even our girls were like, what
where is he? Like, He's he's coming, don't worry, and
so he you know, he takes this big stairway runway
thing up to the actual stage Finally it answers the

(13:26):
whole dome and he does a bunch of his goods
Rock Your Body and Senor Rita, and I couldn't believe
he did Crime a River. I loved that he did that.
I loved everything about his performance. We're gonna get to
the Prince part, because there's a big question to answer.
But I did not like what he was wearing. What

(13:51):
splotchy gray suit. I did not understand that I have
this big, big, huge, big moment, big stage, You're not
going to change clothes. I did not understand that SWATCHI state,
which I'm sure it was some sort of designer amazing part.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
It was casual, right, Okay, Well, here's the deal.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
He was going to all along, we thought he would
tribute Prince. Being in Minneapolis all weekend, there was this
rumor of a hologram a price.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Here's the deal. Here's the story.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
There he had planned to hologram Oh Prince with Prince,
and then Prince's longtime associate and dear friend, Sheila E,
advised him against that because Prince did not like holograms.
He was anti hologram, so don't do that to him.
So they at the at the not last minute, but
in the last days, Like, okay, I want to tribute him.
Let's put a big projection of him up there. And

(14:40):
boy was that beautiful. That's I would die for you
for you from the movie Purple Rain when we performed
all those in all those songs live in the movie
Purple Rain.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
That's what that clip was from.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Amazing And it wasn't a high point, and it wasn't
creepy because holograms, I'm sorry, are creepyte.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
It was good and he must have fit in ten songs.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
I mean he he eventually went to Mirrors, which everybody
sang with justin last night.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
I loved every part of it.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, they made for one of the best Super Bowl
halftime shows ever.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Really yeah, I mean he just fit in so much,
except that he would just changed that suit.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Okay, Coming up in your next.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Hollywood Outsider, why Pink had to push through that performance
of her national anthem and much more up to date.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
With Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Got more post super Bowl fun coming up for you,
you know, the commercial justin of course the game too,
justin We'd love to hear from you eight seven seven
three one four MSJ for your favorite moment.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
All right, Look, there's a video that went viral last week,
and my friend Mary pointed out to me about the
nurse who posted this epic rant when she was leaving
a twelve hour shift at the emergency room. And I
finally actually took them time to watch it, and it's hysterical.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
I think she's right on the money.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
She got some criticism because of her sarcastic tone, but
if you watch it, she's as cute as she can be.
For one thing, and she literally Pensacola and she did this.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
She's like getting it in her car.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
I just finished a twelve hour shift and I want
to talk to you about some things you need to
know about this nasty flu season.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
It is a really terrible flu season.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
If you're not aware of how the flu is spread,
the only way you can get it is through your eyes,
your nose, or your mouth. That means you touch something
and you rub your eye, you could get the flu.
Let's see, if someone coughs near you and then you
inhale it through your nose or through your mouth, you
could get the flu.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
It is really bad.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
It's killed some people. It has put many people in
the hospital and it's spreading like wildfire. I don't know
if I mentioned already that it's been a long night shift.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Right, that's good information for someone who doesn't know that
you through your eyes.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, I've always heard all this area the face.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
I think any virus or cold is that same way.
Guys knows.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
But you see how she could have rubbed some people
the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
She's a little but she also apologized since then and said, look,
my intention was good.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
I had just she has told people's stuff over.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
And over, like she said that she saw a dad
letting her letting his uh healthy child crawl on the
emergency room floor in the waiting room, and she walked
over to him and said this is not a good idea,
and he was.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Like, man, well, so why build up his immune system?

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Why would anybody think that that would be sarcash?

Speaker 2 (17:51):
You have to watch her.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
She's a little snarky, but she continues to teach you
about what not to do.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
If you have a team member from your softball team
who is sick or injured, you do not bring the
entire softball team in to check on them, because guess what,
you just got maybe fifteen new victors or carriers of
the flu by them all walking in that right though.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
And you know it, it's an important message because it's
scary when you hear the stories about especially like young people,
not just elderly people that have passed away from the flu.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
This she's like, don't bring your healthy children in here,
and don't bring your newborn babies in I think she's
right on the money. And by the way, after the
viral the viral video, she got a marriage proposal, Oh
she did.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Coming up next with Murphy Samon Joe.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
We'll break down the halftime show and the best commercials
from last night's Super Bowl. Okay, Sam, you were the
super Bowl commercial man up until Sunday when we finally
saw some commercials that you didn't share with them.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
There were a handful of that really surprised me.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
My favorite one, and it kind of went on all
night a couple of times was Hopper And I say
that actor David Harbor from Stranger Things in his commercial
that you don't know what it is first.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
Just a typical super Bowl car ad, right.

Speaker 10 (19:08):
Or a hilarious beer ad or this is whatever?

Speaker 5 (19:17):
I mean that.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, it's a tide ad meaning everybody's shirts are so sparkling, clean,
no matter what kind of ad it looks like. And
boy did they create ten different ads to wind up
being the Tide ad. They win it for me, and
he's it's all because you love him too well.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
And that's what I was going to say. I don't
know if it was just because he's one of my
favorite actors right now, but it was. It was just
true comedy was a funny spot.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yeah, it was funny.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Okay, See they're not released before the Super Bowl soon.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
No. The only teaser they had last year, Terry Bradshaw
did the Tide commercials, So they had a teaser with
Terry Bradshaw.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
That wins it for me because I was also so
prized and delighted. I like to be surprised on Super
Bowl Sunday instead of seeing them all ahead of time. Sorry, Sam,
all right, what did you love mine?

Speaker 5 (20:07):
And this one? I just loved it. It was Odell
Beckham Junior and with dirty dancing.

Speaker 10 (20:16):
Yeah, let's do it, Let's get it.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Because you know the whole that was another visual. Yeah,
the whole game that they were. You know, they've had
the Eli Manning trying to come up with an idea
for something the whole game, and when they finally hit it,
it was dirty dancing and Odell and the lift, running
and jumping and oh, I mean we were all dying
at the party that I went to a Jammy's house.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Uh, it really built up and you thought, are they
were really going to do the lift? And of course
they did?

Speaker 1 (20:42):
That was great.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
You gotta go see that one if you missed it. It
was in the fourth quarter, which I don't know who
could have left that game?

Speaker 2 (20:49):
That what a great game.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
I really had Brady was going to pull it out.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Well yeah, but with every second as it counted down
from what one fifty four, it's.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Like, can this happen? Can this happen? Can this happen?

Speaker 4 (21:01):
No?

Speaker 3 (21:01):
It could not last night? All right, coming up next,
let's let's move. Can we move to my favorite part
of the thirteen minutes with Justin Timberlake coming up next?

Speaker 1 (21:13):
So I didn't wind up putting down any bets on
anything last night. However, if I had, I would have
been totally corrected with Jody in the halftime show. Oh man,
he was everything, lit it up and had Jody's really
all great.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Yeah, I mean we're going to get to the Prince tribute,
which was awesome. But first did Jukay's catch what he
did with that, that standing mic, that little stage I
want one of those. I need to watch that again
and again. How many times you think he hit his
face in practice? Maybe never, because it's justin. He was fabulous.
And this intro was interesting because it's like Lizzy, he

(21:47):
was like in the bowels of the stadium.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Okay, he was just like underneath.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
It took me a minute to figure that out. Oh okay,
he's not out there yet. And then that ramp going
down that was just too cool.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
I've seen him do that sort of thing for Award shows.
He starts backstage and then comes out. It's very exciting.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
I don't remember what the Vegas line was for coming
out from underneath the stadium. Remember they had all the
bets of how.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Justin Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not worried about
any of that. The only thing I loved every song.
I love that he did Senorita and Rock Your Body
and Crime Your River and he just kept it real
up and and all that. And then all of a sudden,
because I was watching for every little song, I had
forgotten that I was expecting a Prince tribute. Yeah, but

(22:29):
of course we got a beautiful Prince tribute.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
I loved the footage from Purple Rain, loved the city
turned purple.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah, you saw the outside footage that was gorgeous, and
so this is from Purple Rain. And so Justin eventually
started singing along with it, but at first he just
let the Prince track go, which was nice and lovely
and right wrapping it.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
We can't stop. The feeling was just fun. Man. Having
the whole stadium, it was just awesome.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Yeah. I would wait everybody sings along with mirrors because
you can't not sing to that when he does.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
It, Even though I don't know the lyrics, you were
still saying.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
The only thing I didn't like was his clothing.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
Ah.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
I'm like, it was gray and splotchy, and I know
that it's probably some fancy designers.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
I say, somebody fruit fruit think designed it to go along.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
With everything there.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
But he must have liked it or he would not
have worn it. Yeah, so he must have loved it.
Coming up in your next Hollywood Outsider at seven fifty five,
a little bit more from behind the scenes with you know,
behind the scenes with Justin from the super Bowl and
pink fighting the flu to bring us that national anthem.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Eight seven seven three one oh four M s. J.
That's something we can call our text this morning. Let
us know your little post super Bowl feelings today on
all of it, part of it, and you can also
read just Facebook.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, we have all that coming up, some super Bowl
fun front in the Hollywood Outsider on the way. And
today is also decision day about this bulldog.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Oh you're talking about in our house, Jodey.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Yeah, Popa, it's our decision. So we'll get to that next.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Yeah, we actually have the decision coming up. Okay, I
wonder if you I wonder if you actually know what
you think it's going to be. I'm curious to see.
How are you, Angela?

Speaker 11 (24:23):
Oh great, if I can get over my cold, listen,
I just want to talk to you about your bulldog.

Speaker 9 (24:29):
Okay, you would be making the best decision if you
adopt him. I've got to and both of them were
given to me. Yeah, I would not have another dog ever,
no other type of dogs.

Speaker 11 (24:44):
The greatest.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Wow, Well I feel you are.

Speaker 11 (24:47):
They're so funny. I can be having the worst day
at work and come home and they just make everything
so much better. They love to play, and I know
you're concerned about the.

Speaker 9 (24:58):
Ground, Jody. Yes, that's just what they do.

Speaker 11 (25:01):
It's not that they're gonna bite mind do it all
the time when they're playing. Yeah, okay, they never snap
at anybody. They just love attention. And I'm going to
come and tell you, yeah, what is yours istairs and
what theirs is there?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
I'm learning that about him. I'm gonna tell you know.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
He even with my concerns, he's definitely grown on me.
And he definitely has a different personality. You know, Murphy
doesn't like him when I use the word needy, but
boy is he need a lot from his humans.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
They do.

Speaker 11 (25:33):
And it's really odd. I never any other dog I've
ever had has not been that way. But bulldogs are needy. Yeah,
oh god, they are the greatest. They really are.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Sweet.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Thank you for the vote of confidence there, Angela.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Well, we'll have some news coming up next on the
decision about Papa, and remember a lot of people have
put in an application for him.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
That's next.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Another super Bowl behind us. But we do want to
know what your face favorite sor from last night eight
seven seven three one oh four MSJ you can call,
or text or even Facebook.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Is all right.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
For two weeks we have been fostering a bulldog. It
is time to end this question mark of whether Murphy
will you'll get the bulldog you've always wanted your whole life.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Well, so my first question is aren't you impressed that
we actually lasted the two weeks that we gave it.
We really gave it two weeks before we made a
rash decision one way.

Speaker 9 (26:26):
Or the other.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Right, I do, because I'm one of those people.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
I like decisions. I like definits. I don't like unfinished business.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Do you want to go through the pros and cons
list before we actually have?

Speaker 5 (26:35):
I think I know where this is gone. But yeahs
and cons.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
He's chewed a couple of my shoes. Con he growls
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Well you called that growling. I think that's him plain,
That's just the way his voice is.

Speaker 9 (26:46):
So.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
You know that big huge case that you have your backpack, Murphy,
that you keep all of your computer and all of
your it's your Mary Poppin's back like everything comes out
of it.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yes, you that mac?

Speaker 3 (26:57):
You had it on the floor last night. He chewed
it a little bit till I moved it. I don't
know if you saw that.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
That's a con.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
That's a con.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Well, you know the shoe thing too. The rebuttal to
that is shoes away.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I know I'm away, Sam, Probably better for you to
say that. Yeah, right, all right?

Speaker 2 (27:15):
So yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
So beyond that, food aggression not a problem. We don't
have any issues with that. They all five dogs eat
to get not from the same bowl, but they can
all lead at the same time. No problem. That's a pro.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Here's another little fact. He loves to be under your
feet when you're in the kitchen.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
Aw.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Yeah, pro. That's a pro.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Can be a con if you're not careful and not looking.
You know.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Here's the deal.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
This pro that I'm about to throw out Trump's all
the others, and that is that Murphy. I have caught
you when you thought I wasn't listening talking to him,
and you don't do that. I told the girls, I'm
the one that talks to dogs like they understand me.
I keep catching your daddy talking and him like, Papo,
you're a good boy.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
He talks to the dog like he doesn't talk to me.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
It's just so often that of course we should adopt him.
He does well, he does fine with our pack. He
loves you too. Yeah, you're obviously romance bulldog. He's yours.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, I'm glad we're gonna keep him. But I was
very careful to keep at arm's length, and I am not.
Even though I love dogs, I don't humanize the same
way Jody does, because I think it creates more problems
with no. No, no, it's you get them excited at wrong moments,
not you. Anybody who does that can easily get them
excited at wrong moments, and they need to be calm,
you know what I mean, especial when you're talking about

(28:35):
a pack of five, so you don't trip on them
when you walk into the room. You can't have them
all tackling.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
This shy Yeah. And he boy, he is a bulldozer,
so he is.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
But yeah, I mean, we're gonna give it a shot,
you know, and we'll see how it goes. But I'm
glad he's going to be part of our five dog family.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
Decision is the name?

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Right?

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Are we keeping that? Jody's Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
So one of my friends posted last night while the
players were, you know, the Eagles players were accepting Lombardi
trophy that you know, everybody's excited for.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Them and it's such a proud moment.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
But all she can think of, right, all she can
think of is them all kissing the trophy and thinking.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
About the flu.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
A yeah, okay, and so I'm thinking about that last
night too when you got the what from the word
came down from Pink on Saturday on her Instagram that she,
you know, was lives with kids who are always coughing
right in her mouth and she's fighting the flu. So
it's like fighting the flu, meaning you're you have the
flu or you are just trying to.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Protect yourself against it.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
I'm thinking with that throat lozenge that she you know,
spit out just before singing, she's got a touch of it.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
And even with a touch of the flu. Yeah, it
was done well.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
She had a little trouble with the last note, the
high note, but otherwise it was really done well.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
I couldn't sing that song without the flu, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Thinking about her is as a singer, she has always
wanted to do this. She posted that she's wanted to
do this since she saw Whitney Houston do it in
ninety one. Yeah, yeah, and she's an Eagles fans, Philadelphia
Eagles fan.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Did not did not know that, just like Bradley Cooper
apparently right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
It was like Bradley Cooper. It's Bradley Cooper.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, so that's why she belted it out, regardless of
how she felt.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah, she did, Chriss. That was one of my favorite
ones too. You know, when I was listening to it,
I was like, you know what she's really she's really
hitting this.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Just really respectfullyfully done. But I also think though, there's
that part of me too, It's like, I hope she
didn't sign a bunch of autographs and kids, a bunch
of people because you got to go home. You gotta
go get in the room and get hope she's getting
some fluids and rest today.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Yeah, because she's had a touch of the flu She
was there, Yeah, all right, guys. Of course.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Justin Timberlake, the big moment during his Super Bowl half
times show was his Prince tribute when I Tell You
Something About It for You, huge projection of prints from
the movie Purple Rang when he did this I would
I Will Die for You song. It was originally in
the plan going to be a hologram and then Sheila

(31:18):
E convinced him not to do that because Prince was
anti hologram.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Yeah, he didn't like him. He thought they were creepy.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
I think it was perfect.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
It was.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
It was because it was the tribute. It was the
real Prince. It wasn't the CGI version. It really was
a throwback to me when Prince did the halftime show.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
And everything turning purple was lovely. Coming up at eight
thirty is your next Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
It's happening post super Bowl. You hope it was a
holiday Monday, even though it's not.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
I'm so tired, got up in the air.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
So we love to hear from you, you know, so
far a whole lot of fun and recap this morning
and your favorites at eight seven, seven, three, one oh
four MSJ more that's coming up.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
Got me a new addiction? Okay, Sam, so this isn't
dangerous either?

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Got me up?

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Yeah, well, you know, I gave up drinking, I know,
had to find something new. Uh. It's an app on
the phone called h Q And actually what it is
is a trivia game. Okay, Yeah, I consider myself a
trivia genius.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
You are you know, you're the Sam was the person
you bring to parties if you want to win a game.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
As I've been called the Fount of Useless Knowledge r H.
And that's what HQ is. That they started this back
in October November, and every night like a million, million
and a half people are playing this because he goes
on the same time. Yeah okay, and it's usually ten
or twelve questions. They start easy because some of the
questions or you know, like one of the other night was, uh,
what's the noise of cow makes? And they give free

(32:45):
choices and you know, one move. The funny part is
the people who didn't pick moo and it's like, are
you serious?

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Oh really?

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Yeah? Uh? And the my first couple of questions are
easy and then they start to get harder and harder.
I've only made it past round six. The host is
a little annoying though.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
It's showtime. Guess who's back again?

Speaker 8 (33:03):
Hello HQTS Happy King Senira, and welcome back to the
other ending of the fast time.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
This side of the miss well.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
You know what I mean, he's at least he's having fun.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Yeah, So where did you get stomped? What's a question
that ended the game for you?

Speaker 5 (33:17):
Questions that end the game for me, and you have
ten seconds to answer each question. Are the like the
medical questions or like a bone in the body, or yeah,
that's the science type stuff. I don't get. I've made
it up to round six and it tells you you
made it to round six. That's the best you've ever done. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Maybe it's time for you to start hitting the medical journals.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
I guess. And then if you make it and they
actually you can win cash. If you make it all
the way, you can win. It's like twenty five hundred
some nights. Some nights it's ten thousand bucks. You wind
up splitting it with everybody else that wins, so you
really only wind up with a couple of bucks.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
So when you say he plays every night, does that
mean this is not something you play on demand whenever
you want. You have to play and live with him.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
You get the notification and I do time it's time
to play.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Oh and it goes live.

Speaker 10 (34:00):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Okay, can you stop what you do and stop life?

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Because if it were there all the time, you could
have somebody google it for you and be ready.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
And the ten second thing is so you can't google it.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
Sure, you definitely don't have time to google it.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Interesting, Okay, you got to try it. It's called h Q.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
That's okay, I'll get up. No, I didn't say that.
What a great game last night. I love a close
football game, Like I will walk away from a game
if the if the points spread's way too big.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Even with the short amount of time that was left.
You really thought Tom Brady was gonna pull it out.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
The announcers even thought of that. Yeah, but anyway, that's
perfectly fine that it didn't. That was fighting for the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Yeah, I mean, look, first time, first time Super Bowl
win for them, So that's great. I guess you kind
of it'sn't funny how you think, you know, well, maybe
it should be just spread around, even though really it
is about the game. Yeah, wins the game, but it's
about the gat. You're like, yeah, it would be cool
for somebody else to have a chance at it.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Let's talk about the commercials. I thought that overall they
were really fun. I didn't want to miss any of
the commercial breaks. But I want to say, towards the
end of the game, in the fourth quarter, when I
was really in it, this Jeep Wrangler commercial comes up
and with the jeep just crossing like this jagged stream.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
How many car ads have you seen with grandiose speeches.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Over the years, and you're watching this cheep, big declarations
do what jeeps can do.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
It was cool.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
That was one of my favorites because it was understated.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Funny and hasn't a jeep really always done that?

Speaker 10 (35:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Forties isn't that kind of what it was designed to be?

Speaker 3 (35:33):
It just yeah, it was okay, Sam overall for you
last night, I really.

Speaker 5 (35:38):
Thought my favorite was going to be the uh Doritos
with Peter Dinklice and Morgan.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Fa was fun, but we'd seen it.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
Which was great until I saw Odell Beckham and Eli Manning.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Were working on that thing.

Speaker 11 (35:51):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Let's get it now.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
They go through a little passing drill and then all
of a sudden they kick into dirty dancing.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
And they do the lift with Odell on top of
the lift.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
One of my friends posted and tweeted, nobody puts Odell Beckham.

Speaker 7 (36:05):
On the corner.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Yeah, that's pretty awesome and my favorite. It was also
Jody's favorite, which is the Tide commercial that wasn't a
Tide commercial until David Harbor. He told you it was
a Tide commercial, just a typical super Bowl car at right.

Speaker 10 (36:21):
Or a hilarious beer at because it kept on like, no,
it's a Tide ad because the shirts are all sparkling clean.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
It was brilliant. And the way he delivered it, yeah.

Speaker 5 (36:33):
And the way it went on throughout the whole game too.

Speaker 11 (36:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Well, I mean smart move for them to capitalize on
his celebrity from Stranger Things. I didn't I didn't know
he had been chosen to be a spokesperson for Tide.
It was awesome.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
It was sweet coming up next with Murphy Salmon.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Joe loved to hear from you eight seven seven three
one zero four six seven five.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Who do we have, David?

Speaker 6 (36:52):
We have Crystal and she wants to talk to you
guys about Super Bowl betting.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
Jody's Hollywood out a lot of buzz, not just about
the Justin Timberlake halftime show, which was filled with his hits,
but that Prince tribute. It was huge projection of Prince
from Purple Rain. Because Purple Rain the movie had all

(37:20):
those live performances of those songs. So it was a
great choice. What a great choice.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
I'm glad he was.

Speaker 5 (37:24):
Able to pull it off. Because all weekend there was
that rumor that he was going to do a hologram.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Apparently he nixed the hologram idea because Prince's longtime associate
and friend, Shila E explained to Justin and Justin's crew, Hey,
Prince was anti hologram. He didn't like him. He thought
they were creepy. I think they're creepy too. I didn't
want a hologram. But this is great. Yeah, the projection,
you know, it was beautiful. The whole city was purple.

(37:48):
It was a moment. It was a lovely moment. During
Justin's thirteen Minutes halftime show, Murphy.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Sam and Jody, you are a Hollywood Insider.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Earlier this morning, Jody was sharing the story about the
and this went viral at the end of last week.
The nurse that was talking about the flu and flu
season and now.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Her rent it was perfect.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
If you have a team member from your softball team
who is sick or injured, you do not bring the
entire softball team in to check on them.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Me like it, she means, like at the emergency room
and then that sort of thing. And you know what's
really weird. As soon as I saw this, it made
me immediately think about a couple of weeks ago, Remember
when I was in that accident. I was in the
ride share and there were a couple of us together.
We all went to the emergency room. And I mean,
when I tell you the emergency room probably had twenty
people with masks on because of the flu, I'm not exaggerating.

(38:41):
And I was concerned the entire time that I might
catch it. I got lucky, but I found out that
two of the people I was with that night, they
wound up with milecases of the flu.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
And you never know that could have been from the
emergency room or it could have been just normal wife
or a coincidentally. Yes, correct, serious, like if you're not
serious about washing your hands all the time, start right.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
And I think that's the bottom line about this. To me,
if there's any every year, it's serious. But the stories
you hear about young people passing away, you know, it
just all of it to me is scary and just
underscore is the importance of you know, not only getting
the flu shot, but taking care of yourself. Go to
said washing hands and all.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
That, keep your hands away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
And if you're if if if, if somebody tells you
at work, you know, hey, I've got the flu, it's like,
please go, please go.

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Chase them out with them some lightsol.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
So Sam, please tell me this weekend that your cat
Rew got on the potty again and used the bathroom
on the toilet.

Speaker 5 (39:36):
No, he hasn't.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
You're still trying to get it again.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
Yeah, And I think it's because if I ignore him
in the morning before I wake up, uh, and he's
you know, making this wine, wants to go out out.
If I ignore that and I've left my bathroom door
open and the seat down on the toilet, he'll go
back in and do it. But he didn't do it
this morning.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
But that's what you think. It's only happened once. Yeah,
it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (39:57):

top of the toilet, and once they use it there
a lot, then they don't want to use it.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
But the last time he did it, he did it
on his own. I haven't trained him to do it. Yeah,
I just did it.

Speaker 2 (40:10):

Speaker 9 (40:12):
No.

Speaker 5 (40:12):
I thought so too at the minute at that time,
But now I didn't.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
I watched him. I would think they put in a
litter box there would create its own set of problems.
You wake up in the middle of the night, you're
in a.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Stuff on the Oh now, I'm just thinking. Halfway through
I realized that there's a litter box ONOK. What did
I just sit in?

Speaker 3 (40:33):
So with? You get up and let them out. You
don't have a litter box in your house. Your cat's
let you know and they go out.

Speaker 5 (40:38):
I don't have a litter box. Yeah, wow itself. Yeah,
there indoor outdoor cast.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
That's a good cat set up, because even when I
had indoor outdoor cats, he always had a litter box.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Well, no wonder he figured out how to use the
bathroom on his own.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
He was running around holding it. No for your Monday
workday has gone pretty smoothly so far, and you you're
