Diddy — currently facing serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering — has found faith behind bars. Tom Cruise and Ana De Armas were caught sneaking out of David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London over the weekend, ducking in the backseat of a black SUV like a pair of teenagers on the run. With the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, designers and stylists are turning to menswear past and present for The MET GALA.

Rob is joined by his dear pal Garrett Vogel from Elvis Duran and the Morning Show with all the scoop. Don't forget to vote in today's poll on Twitter at @naughtynicerob or in our Facebook group.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yes, sure, it's time.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hello, no, no, no, and no. Welcome to the Naughty
but Nice Sham your host Rob Shooter. And it is Monday,
which means our dear friend Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett,
are you there?

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Happy? Megalla Monday?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Ruh, it's an exciting day. I'm not going this year.
I've been lucky enough to go a couple of times
in the past, but not this year. But I'm excited
to see all the gowns. And we've got a great
story coming up in the show about what to expect.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Is this the equivalent of like the Willy Wonka Golden.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It is it is, although you do get better food
if you get a Willy Wonkas. I think this is
not about the eating. I will tell you all about
what it's like inside these fire are the only one
that at when I went was delicious? Delicious?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Who's that man at the table doing something with the food?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Had eaten me? I sat at a table for ten,
and out of the ten people, I think I was
the only one that I had. Let me put it
like this, I had nine desserts. I had everybody's nobody else.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Are you going to finish that past?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
That. Okay, let's jump into the show. What time is it,
my friends? It is tea time. So not only the
met today, a big, big day in the Diddy trial.
Jury selection starts today. We have an exclusive story that
did he has found faith behind bars, vowing to rebuild
through God's grace. So sources tell me that the embattled
mogul who's currently facing really serious charges including sex trafficking

(01:37):
and racketeering. Those are the two big charges he's been
he's found faith. He's found faith behind bars. Sources say
he's been praying every day, he's been reading scriptures, and
he's been talking a lot about grace and God. He's
calling this a spiritual reset. This shouldn't be too surprising.
He has previously spoken about his faith. After the death

(01:59):
of Kim Porter, his partner. He said that that was
a divine wake up. Now skeptics are raising eyebrows. Some
people are saying, wow, this timing is very convenient, but
maybe it is real. Maybe prison has humbled Diddy.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
What do you think, erret Well, I mean, remember, right
before all this came about, he put out.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
An album called Love And you know.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It's almost as if we there's so much noise in
the world that we tend to forget that we've been
down this road before. We've been down this reset of Diddy.
The man has changed his names and personalities several times,
and it's almost like as soon as he changes it,
we're supposed to accept that it's a new person, you
know what I mean. And it might be for this time,

(02:45):
but I feel like deja vous where we've seen this.
We've been down this road before, and you know what happens.
Let's just say he has found guilty on all accounts,
doesn't he just go no more? God, I'm over it.
You know, like this will be the true test to
see how how true he is to you know, finding
his faith. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, It's it's interesting that a lot of people in
positions of trouble, when you find yourself in a spot
of bother that this is certainly more than that. But
you when you find yourself in trouble, a lot of
people find faith, some for the right reasons, some for
an excuse there. I say, it's going to be fascinating
as this tries. I don't think we're going to see

(03:24):
Diddy for a couple of weeks because this is jury selection.
So the trial's not actually going to get underway for
I guess like at least a week. They take their
times really picking a diverse a jury here.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
But they said this whole thing, they said, this whole
thing could be wrapped up.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
In two two months.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Two months, Yeah, which is crazy because this has been
going on almost two years of all the evidence.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Being collected in this and that.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
So for two years being shifted down to two months,
that's correst.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah, although there's two years, it's a lot of search.
And remember they raided his house, found a thousand bottles
of baby oil, found video videotapes. I predict here and
I used to work with did He many many years ago.
His defense is going to be I'm freaky, I'm sexually
very very extroverted. However, that is not a crime. And

(04:15):
I think he's going to say that I'm diddy, I'm rich,
I'm famous. A lot of people really wanted to be
with me when I went to clubs, when I went out,
people threw themselves at me having sex. Even if it
is sex that maybe you and I don't like, maybe
it's too extreme for us, that is not a crime.
That's going to be his defense. Now what he's up against.

(04:37):
Is There's going to be a lot of witnesses who
will say they were drugged, they were kidnapped, they were blackmailed.
There's an instance here where someone claims they were threatened
with arson, and so this is going to be a really,
really ugly trial. It's fascinating to me though. And once again,
I did work with Diddy then he turned down a
plea deal. This is so Diddy did He's com My

(05:00):
sources tell me.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Is he blinks, is he blinks arrogance.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
It's total arrogance that he thinks is untouchable. And let's
be clear here, Garrett, he has been untouchable for twenty years.
These allegations go back a really long time. They don't
just start two weeks ago. So if you get away
with something for decades, it's hard for you to actually
believe you're doing get anything wrong. It becomes a way

(05:26):
of life. This is gonna be it's gonna be explosive.
Are you planning to go down to the court has
a tall Garrett tod In.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
No, No, No, that's what like being from New York.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
If you're not from New York, you got to understand
when there's big court cases like this or Harvey Weinstein
or anything of that nature. You avoid downtown Manhattan like
the plague, you know, because every single outlet, not just
New York, I mean, the world comes and crowds this
courthouse just for a little snippet, a little sound bite
of something that was that is to come out of

(05:59):
this this.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been asked by lots of media
outlets if I'm gonna go and if I am down
at the courthouse, they'd love to interview me outside the courthouse.
I'm not doing either. I'm not going to the courthouse.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I'm not only right here on.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
I'm saving it or for our podcast. If you're sick
of Diddy, I'm afraid the next maybe two months might
be a little bit annoying. I'm trying not to overdo it.
There's many, many, many, many more things in the news.
But it'd be silly to start as show today and
not talk about this. It starts how did today?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
How does the jury like? Because when you do juris election,
I've I've been, I've been on the other side where
you get picked for a jury. How do you how
does someone go? The first question has to be do
you know Sean Holmes aka Diddy, and there's going to
be not many people that go, I don't know who
you're talking about. You know, you know for many a
reason for one music, you know, you know, extraordinaire, an entrepreneur,

(06:53):
on TV, in movies, and then over the last two
years you've seen nothing but his face outside of the president,
you know what I mean, on television, just in the
news coverage. So it's going to be hard to find
twelve people that are a little un biased, do you
know what I mean? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I think there's a difference between sort of hearing of somebody,
knowing somebody, and having strong feelings towards them. Because we
did this for a living, we're so inabbable that we
think everybody knows everything. And I think part of the
success of this podcast is that we assume that you're
not a super fan, and we try to explain our stories.
So if we talk about somebody that you're not that
familiar with, we hopefully put it into some context. So

(07:32):
I think a lot of people have heard of Diddy.
I don't think a lot of people really know Diddy.
I think they can be unbiased towards him, but it
is going to be difficult finding a jury. They're also
going to ask questions about sex and how comfortable you
are talking about hearing about sex, because this is going
to come down to whether or not what Diddy did

(07:52):
was freaky, was unusual, was maybe deviant. However they're arguing
it's not illegal.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I think you just wrote the New York Post Headlin,
what did did he do.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
This a long time? Okay, let's jump into our whole
question of the day. Did he has found faith behind bars?
I never want to mock somebody's faith. We're not that podcast. However,
I do want to ask is this convenient timing? Yes?
Or no? What do you think is this convenient timing? Hey?
Go vote run at Twitter page at Naughty and Ice.

(08:23):
Rob Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure
to check back tumble Road to hear your results. Hey Garrett,
what are you working on?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Well, you know Tom Cruise has a movie coming out,
because we're seeing a lot of him Mission Impossible right
around the corner. But he was out hanging out with
friends and especially one of his good friends, David Beckham,
who celebrated fifty years of birth of being on this planet,
which is crazy to think right, he seems so much younger,
but I guess it's good skincare regime. So they were

(08:53):
out in London and a big party, of course, and
there's a photo of Tom Cruise trying to hide out
in the back of his suv where I think at
one point he just realized, like I can't you know,
and you just see you see him smiling, but you know,
it looks like I can never get her name an

(09:16):
on a day. All right, there we go. So he's
sixty two, she's thirty seven. It looks like they've been
together now for a few weeks at least in our eyes.
From Valentine's Date Dinners Helicopter landings, which is so Toms.
Helicopter landings is so Tom Cruise. I mean, no matter what,

(09:38):
even if you do not like Tom Cruise, which is
very hard to not like him, if you are dating
someone and you're on a helicopter pad. Wait and Tom
Cruise comes up the head. He goes, hey, let's go
to the movies, Like how do you not fall in love?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
At that point? So it's a whirldworld, isn't it. Now?
A few little things make me suspicious. You just hit
the nail on the head. He does have a movie
come and get so Tom does Jesus and movies. Anna,
though I'm told, really likes him and these two, I
break the story first that they were together. They've been
together now for a couple of months. You don't take
somebody to your best friend's birthday party, to his fiftieth

(10:11):
birthday party if it's quite cat especially, I do think
those celebrities they should stop trying to look like teenagers
on the run in the backseat of these their SUVs.
You're going to get your picture. It actually looks worse
if you're trying to hide. Just sit there, you drive past,
they take a photograph. It's all fine. You didn't rub
a bank. You went to a birthday party, Isn't that wrong?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Not so much big hoop life, Like you're trying to
hide and you have the raincoat and the umbrella blocking
your face, like, oh you do, like you just said
a simple wave and then everybody outside.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
It's so silly. When I worked with Jessica Simpson in
the peak of her fame, when she was getting divorced
from Nick, we would go into parking garages and she
would get into the trunk of the car and I'd said, Jessica,
we didn't rub a bank. You can just wave.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
What is the crazyest way you've had to like block
out paparazzi or someone getting photos, is, Jessica Simpson.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
You've had umbrellas, I've had people in trunks of cars.
I've had people go through black ex sits. I've never
had anybody get into like a suitcase or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Anything not like the publicist too us, like it's fine,
you're really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Taking a photograph of you in the back of a car,
that's fine. Taking a picture of me, even with good lighting,
it's a little dodger, like I don't look like you.
So it's going to be fine. And we weren't leading.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Jalo didn't tell you to put on her coat and
hat and act like you're her.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
And then she's no, I wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Have done it. I'd say, come here, silly, get in
the car. We're going to go to the pizza hurt.
I'm hungry, Okay, moving along. Tonight is the met Gala.
So this is the biggest fashion event of the Anna Winter,
who runs Vogue, does this as a fundraiser. There is
a good course behind it. It raises millions of dollars
for the Costume Institute, which is like a fashion museum
within the MET. Each year they have a theme. Today

(12:00):
theme is super Fine in a tailoring black style. So
because that's the theme, I spoke to lots and lots
of stylists, lots and lots of designers, and they're expecting
to see lots of suits. People are going to be
very tailored. Expect the women to be wearing jackets and
no pants. Maybe the men will be doing the same.

(12:20):
When you think about super Fine, you think about a dandy.
A dandy is a gentleman who dresses to the nines.
He's like a peacock. It started in England. Think those
really really fabulous, oscool wild type characters of big hats
and cravats and beautiful, beautiful coats, tailored knickerbockers, really canes

(12:42):
is a good thing. Well, ladies are going to be
doing that. Let's remember Celine Dion did that door moment
when she wore the tuxedo backwards. It was a major
fashion moment. I'm told we're going to expect to see
a lot of that. But because it is the Met
also too, we're going to see a lot of flesh,
so they do like a peekaboo moment at this event.
It's a great, fabulous, silly Cinderella type night. I'm looking

(13:07):
forward to it. You don't have to go, trust me.
If you go up there, you can't get close to
the museum, so you really see very very little. It's
better to watch it on TV or on a live stream.
I think Vogue live streams it. It's fun.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
It's kind of like a It's kind of like any
like live sporting event, the super Bowl. Let's say that
if you're at the super Bowl, you could say, oh,
I was at the super Bowl, and then it's like whatever,
because during the commercials it's just boring, and the same
thing at the mechal after they walk in, there's nothing
really outside of the just you know, chit chatting and like, hey,
what time we That's right.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
I'm really uncomfortable on my feet hurt so people. The
carpet is the best part of that event, which I
often think, get a ward. Choirs too, okay, quickly before
we get a break. Beyonce's being busted. What has she
done done?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
The Cowboy Carter tour has started.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
She was out in Los Angeles and people notice that
on stage there's a there a teleprompter where you know,
it just goes through the songs.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
And if you know Beyonce's catalog, it's a lot. There's
a lot of songs.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I don't think even the super beehive of Beehives fans
would know every single word of every single song every
single night. So there is a teleprompter up on stage
to help Beyonce just in case if she flubs a line,
or she's off looking at a crowd, audience member, or

(14:28):
interacting with someone, or in the middle of a dance break.
But so people are calling around for having a teleprompter
on stage.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
But let's not forget. This is not new. This has
been This has been around forever.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
We're talking people like Barber Streisan, Elton John, you know,
they they have used teleprompters, and I mean it's there,
it's it's there as a backup, as a safety net,
because you know, what happens you forget the lyrics of
your song.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
What happens you.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Become viral going Beyonce doesn't know how to sing crazy
and Love.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
You know, he's got memory issues, she's lost her mind.
This is actually she's a bad business standard practice a
lot of celebrities, particularly these massive tours where there's so
many different elements going on. And I think she does
over three hours, maybe thirty songs like It's It's a
really long, fabulous evening. I'm looking forward to seeing her.
I think I'm going to go in London. I'm going

(15:20):
to be in London when she's in London, So I
think I'm gonna go and see fancy old Beyonce in London. Okay,
we're going to take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice
Heads drop Shooter with our dear friend Garrett. Hey, Garrett,
let's get to the polls that are let's share. We
talked about Tom Cruise and Anada Admas dating. Do you

(15:40):
like these two as a new celebrity couple. We have feelings,
don't we when celebrities get together. Do we think they're
a good couple? Not a good couple? Let's have a look.
Sixty percent said, yes, you do like these as a couple.
There's certainly gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Hey, don't forget to vote
on today's pole go at Twitter page at naughty Nice rob.
Our facebook page is Naughty gilsip and be sure to

(16:01):
check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's
time for the nicest of the day.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yes, you might have seen this on social media, but
ggaded Bradley Cooper. You know, they're their marriage serious. They're
not they're not officially married yet, but they're very serious
about getting married. So if you go, if you're following
along on Instagram, you might have seen that Gig was
celebrating her thirtieth birthday just last week, and there's the
picture from the party, and you see a very passionate

(16:32):
which you know, I can agree, you know, you you
know when it's a passion against you know, you just
it's not fake. It's not one of those like hairy
let's just yeah, let's let's kiss.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
For Instagram, you know. But it's real. Serious.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Marriage is serious, as friends have told you exclusively, Rob
that they're building, you know, a life together. I mean
they have they have houses out in Pennsylvania, they have
houses here in New York, god only knows where else
in the world.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
They have houses and horses probably as well.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
But but but you know, it's it's it's it's kind
of interesting, and Taylor even told uh gad Taylor Swift,
of course you should never hide.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
I agree with that, don't hide your love and and
it's so true, like I don't hide my life.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
I don't hide for you, don't hide your lover. Nice
is the day and I noticed the day naughty naughty.
The Madonna and Lady gagat feud has a erupted again
because Guard Guard just played a free concert on Copa
Cabana Beach, getting two point one maybe two point five
million fans.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Insane.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Well, guess who used to hold the record their female artist?
Who's Madonna? Is Madonna going to go back to this
feet in six months and try and beat Gaga? It
makes me giggle. These two are always trying to like
out do each other. The thing is, there's room for
both of you. Just because Lady Gaga is a monster
star doesn't take anything away from Madonna's stardom. Madonna, you're

(17:57):
the queen of pop. You've got nothing to prove to anybody.
Although I did a little research, do you know who
actually does hold the record? It's a male performer in
the eighties who was a huge star in the eighties eighties,
three point five million people on the Copacabana Beach.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Who was it, David Swimmer.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I was going to say Michael Jackson. I thought maybe
Elton John made the stone. It was Rod Stewart. It
was Rod Stuart. Rod Stuart holds the record. So you
two ladies should team up together if you want to
knock out Rod. And what is the day? Let's end
with a moment of Rob. You Rob, you get a Robb,
You get a Rob. For twenty minutes. We love giving
you the celebrity gossip and all the news, but for

(18:38):
a moment which is a little bit more deep. Today's
moment of Rob. Cheers to the ones that lead with kindness.
You know who you are. Shout out to the people
whose kindness isn't calculated. It's not a performance, it's not
a strategy, it's a way of life. The ones that
hold the door open for you without any any expectations.
The ones who check in with you when they genuinely,

(19:01):
genuinely care, those who give without keeping score. If you're
one of those people, keep shining, keep loving, and keep
being you. The world needs more hearts like yours. Cheers
thanks to the ones who lead with kindness. Hey, that
is it for today. Thank you so much for listening.

(19:22):
So they're not ey but nice here with Robin Garrett Show.

(19:43):
on Friday morning. It's a great it's a fun place.
It's always such a circus to go there.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
You know.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
It's funny, like you get so used to like doing
the same things every day, like almost a groundhog day thing.
So like I see you on a Friday and I'm like,
what the day is this?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
What are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Who are what are we doing? It's a great, great place. Hey,
