Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vie. Sure it's time, Levell Welcome to the Naughty but
Nice I'm your hostrom Shooter. It's Thursday, which means our
dear friend Mark lub joins us. Hey, Loopy are you there?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Loopy lovis here? Happy? Plead a dream?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Loopy lou Yours was the first text I got yesterday,
wishing me a happy birthday. Hey, thank you naughties, everybody
that reached out, that texted me, that d m me,
that sent an email. I love you all. I promised
I'm going to get to some of them today. It
was so overwhelming just to see how much love was
coming in. I'm really grateful for it. Although yesterday I
did take a little time off, I wasn't answering texts

(00:48):
or emails very much. Yesterday I actually took a day off,
which is pretty rare for me Mark, and it's a
lovely thing to do. At first, I felt almost guilty.
Do you ever feel like that if you're not working
working working? I feel like, oh my goodness, I'm missing
an arm or a leg. And then a few hours
into the day I started to relax. You work all
the time.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Mark.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
It's difficult, isn't it? To walk away? From your devices,
even on your birthday or holiday. What do you think
it is?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
But I think you know what on that day, it's
your day. But they do not disturb on and just
enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
You do not disturb. Oh talking about do not disturb.
Mark Lupo was listening to our show last week and
noticed a few pings and it was my notification buttons away.
Now I knew this was happening, I just didn't actually
understand how or why. And so Mark, I think I've
managed to turn it off. So naughties, if you've been

(01:39):
suffering through my constant flow of email is my constant
text things throughout the show, Maybe today we're going to
be ping, free fingers, cross lists, jump in, what time
is it? My friends time? Big story at the top
of the show, so Oprah's gone viral. She had a
little chat with Kelly Ripper. Kelly Ripper's podcast is fabulous

(02:00):
because Kelly is a little bit gossipy off the show.
Kelly's great on the show, but off the show she's
really I think you get to see the real Kelly,
and she's a little bit naughty. And because she's Kelly Ripper,
she gets the best guests. She gets Oprah like, if
I asked Oprah to do my podcast, I don't know
if she would do it. I don't think she would
do any podcasts. But when Kelly Ripper asks, Oprah's like, sure,

(02:21):
I'll be there. Not only if she's there, she's there,
I think without a public sister, without a manager, it
just feels like two friends gossiping, maybe in Kelly's apartment,
maybe at Bottino's. It's so just like girl talk. I
was listening to it. Oprah told the story about the sussexes. Now,
the story wasn't that great. However, what was great and

(02:42):
what has gone viral is Oprah deliberately, dare I say
mispronounced their names. She calls them the following the sussx
sexist and she said it twice. So you mispronounce something,
and I mispronounced words all the time, particularly abs Mark.
We might correct ourselves, but we don't double that. Oprah

(03:04):
doubled dad and people in the room laughed at lad.
It was really funny. It was a really, really adorable
Oprah is the best. Sources close to Oprah tell me
she's just having a bit of fun here, lighting up everybody.
It was just a joke. Well, the Sussexes who do
not have a sense of humor, I like Harriet. They
they're not numbered to have a sense of humor about themselves,
so maybe anybody else. I don't think I've ever really

(03:26):
seen them laugh. They're not that happy inside us. Tell
me that they're a little bit stung by this mark.
They're a little bit hurt. They thought she was family,
she was one of their best friends, and to do
this has has stung a little bit. What do you think, Oh,
I love it so much.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You know, Oprah is at an age at hour, she's older,
and I think when you get older, you kind of
just start saying things. And you know, Oprah, in context
of what she said in the past and how she's behaved,
we know that she supports the couple right like, she's
not against them. She loves them. But I think you
know they're not in on a joke. We are in
on a joke and they are not. They take themselves

(04:03):
so seriously and sometimes you gotta just laugh with everyone,
you know, he kinda just laugh.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Oprah knows this better than anybody goodness knows. Ever, the
last twenty thirty forty years, she's been a huge star.
People have always been having a few few little digs
at her, some not so nice, some some very very funny.
And I think, here it's a joke. You can laugh
at yourself. Put down the sword, Harry and Meghan. You're
always fighting, you're always ready to hit back, and it's nothing.

(04:34):
It's a joke. It was quite funny. It's a name.
It's not that important. Kelly Rippertoo is a cool person.
She's not looking for nasty, naughty gossip. It's not like
Oprah went on the Megan Kelly Show, well Bethany Frankel,
who were always trying to stir the part here. So
I thought this was quite adorable. I do like what
you say, though, Mark. At a certain age you start

(04:56):
to just say it as it is. Mine was about
eleven I I started to just say it as it is.
You do not, but you're you're a little bit more sensitive,
a little bit more God today, I stare, I say,
what age do you think you'll turn before we get
all the secrets out of LOOPO.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I'm getting closer, you know, in my late thirties, I'm
you know, opening up the idea of just letting it rip.
But I think you have to have a filter at points,
and as you're building your career and as you're building
your life, you've got to be you.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Know, sensitive, you have to have a filter. And maybe
a billion dollars like Oprah can do what she wants.
I mean, can't cancel her if you do, cancel O
at this point, she got so much money. It makes
me sad here. I have not that many friends who
don't have a sense of humor, because that's one of
the most important things for me in life, in my
in my relationships. I love to laugh. I do love

(05:46):
to laugh. Have I crossed the line? I'm sure I
have many many times, But I do know some people
who just won't giggle. It's just not in their DNA,
And it really saddens me Mark, because I think part
of life is having a really good laugh, is really
enjoying a moment, and it doesn't have to be cruel.

(06:06):
Everybody thinks here that gossip's bag. Laughing about somebody is bad. No,
it's really charming. It means you care, it means you're
talking about them, it means you're interested in them. And
so I don't think that this is necessarily a bad thing.
I thought it was a really endearing, sweet moment. If
I was Harry and Meghan now, I would refer to
myselves as I would make fun I make fun of myself.

(06:29):
It'd be really funny. I just don't think that's in
their DNA.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's not. You know, my friends make fun of me
and I make fun of them, but all the time.
But it's like it shows a sign of like inthnity.
It's like we know each other well enough that you
don't say the things that cross the line, but you
can say things. You point fun of the things.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
That you know.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Are you know, a flaw of your own or just
something fun to talk about?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yeah, yes, not even a flaw, but it's part of yourself.
My birthday wish every birthday since I was about ten
years old, when I blow out my candles, it's to
laugh out every day. Yeah, that's been my wish for
decades and I do it. Mark. I find something to
really chuckle about every single day. It is such a gift. Oprah,

(07:11):
thank you you really made me chuckle here and New
Sussexes hmm. It brings us to our pole question of
the day. Oprah made fun of the royals' names. It
was a lighthearted, little bit of a giggle. These two
were not very happy about it. Should Harry and Meghan
get a sense of humor? Should they just light it
up a bit? Yes? Or no? I think I know

(07:33):
the answer. Hey, overt on our Twitter page at Naughty
Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be
sure to check back to morrow to hear your results. Hey, Loopy,
what are you working on?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
This is a bit of a shocking story, rob So.
Taylor Swift kept her dad's major heart surgery a secret
until he was out of danger. Yeah, so, sources confirmed
the superstar secretly stept away last month to be by
her father, Scott's side, as he underwent quintuple bypass surgeries.
It's pretty serious, so sort as to say, Taylor camped
out of the hospital and was joined by her mom Andrea,

(08:08):
and her brother Austin and Papa. Swept is now seventy
three years old. This had to be recovering, and the
reps confirmed the surgery wasn't caused by a heart attack,
but by urgent blockages. Now, Taylor has been open about
her family's health battles in the past, including her mom's
cancer diagnosis and brain tumor, and this later scare was
really terrifying for the whole family.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
What do you think You think that because you're one
of the richest people, most successful people in the world,
you don't ever have any problems, and that's just not true.
Health is something that affects us all, and so it
is just heartbreaking. I'm sure he's getting the best care.
We sort of knew about this. There was lots of
rumors out there, which we hadn't seen the dad in months.
It disappeared, and I'd heard the room was something was

(08:51):
going on. But I had of respect for Taylor here.
I think most outlets, most legitimate outlets, outlets like our own,
just didn't really pursue this story. I'm glad now it
is officially out. It's her family's story to tell. Maybe
not as I'm very careful on health, on health stories children,
we don't do children on the show, and we don't
do health stories until you yourself talk about it. I

(09:14):
don't think this is that uncommon. I think in my
family Mark and when there's been a real crisis, a
heart attack of stroke, something awful, at first the family
doesn't tell everybody because at first the priority is not
getting the story at It's not notifying relatives, it's making
sure the person suffering is in the best place they
can possibly be. And I often think too, these stories

(09:37):
could potentially have a very bad outcome, and so you
want to figure out what the outcome is going to
be rather than have to tell that story over and
over and over again as it changes. I think Taylor,
this is so impressive for her to be able to
keep this a secret. She obviously told Travis, her friends,
I guess knew about it. Not one of them betrayed her.

(09:59):
That's how the type of stories get out. Mark, we
know the celebrities who have nothing but gossip gooses around them.
They know it too. You know, it's easy to get
stories on the Kardashians. I'm not saying they're leaking, but
certainly people who are in there in a circle like
to talk to the press. With Taylor, she keeps her
in a cirtle really really close, and I think that's

(10:21):
part of her outrage with Blake Lively is that she
just doesn't want to be involved in any of this drama.
She has a really private life. For somebody who we
think we know, it's actually quite hard to find gossip,
find stories, find information about Taylor Swift, and that's a
credit to her. Like the Real Housewives reality starts, Mark,

(10:41):
Let's be honest, they're calling us all like, we don't
even have to do any digging there. You just sit
and you wait for your phone toring on slow news days,
I just text a few Housewives and before I know
it had a full column of gossip. Taylor's not that
she keeps her private life very private. Jenn A Hannison
does this too, Mark, It's sort of even though we're

(11:02):
in the celebrity news, entertainment gossip business. Mark, I sort
of tipped my hat to her. I have mad respect
for this.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I do too, And you know, I think it humanizes
Taylor because we see her as this big star, it's
bigger than life, and the reality is she's a person
like all of us, and she has her ups and
downs and family first over everything else. And to your point, Rob,
if Blake Lively had been in her circle still and
she knew about this, we would all know about this
before she was ready about it.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Yeah, we might all know about it. Good point. Okay,
moving along, there's three minutes missing from the Epstein tapes. Now,
we don't normally do politics, but I'm not even sure
this is a political story. This story is everywhere. So
forensic experts have revealed that nearly three minutes three minutes
of surveillance footage is missing from the only working camera

(11:49):
NIA Jeffrey Epstein's prison cell the night of his death. Ooh,
and they say it was deliberately cut out. So where
are where are that two minutes and fifty three seconds?
Does it still exist? I spoke to some experts and
they said it always exists somewhere, even when you delete
something on your computer. I mean, we've all watched enough

(12:10):
Dateline in twenty twenty to know this. Mark. If I
delete a Google search, it's still there somewhere. A really
smart forensic person can find this. And I think that
when we realize that maybe this was an accident, maybe
it was a mistake, it was a bit of a
coincidence too, let me ask add, I think this starts
adding up and this is why people don't trust the

(12:32):
system and they get really suspicious and conspiracy theories explode. Mark,
has this story entered into your life yet? Mark? I
know we do celebrities all day long, but this is
a story that does involve a lot of famous people.
Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew was involved in this, lots of
celebrities knew Jeffrey Epstein has this story in your life?

(12:52):
Is it bubbling up or not really really involved yet?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
You know the story I've been following it twenty seventeen
is eighteen. I'm all in, and I think that's the
prob that's the problem. I think, you know, you can't
have this this bubbling up for it, this has been
a story for quite a long time, and then then
tell the public that this is what it is and
there's no story here, and there's no there, there, no
we all know what's going on, and we want to know,
you know, we want answer if we want transparency. Wherever

(13:17):
you stand in the political spectrum, we want transparency. We
deserve that from the government.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Absolutely, there's something about it all that doesn't add up.
And as certain the stories in our history that I
think have really really, really really sort of captured our imagination,
Jean Bernat, Natalie Wood's death, JFK's assassination, their story is
that we still talk about Princess Diana's death. There's a

(13:44):
lot of conspiracies about that Jeffrey Epstein is now part
of that circle. And I promise you we're not going
to cover it every single day on the podcast, but
this is something now that people are really really talking about.
There's three minutes, three minutes, ah missing, okay, quickly before
we go to break, Sarah Jessica Parker is having to
say or wanting to say, I'm sorry? What has she done?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
So funny? So sources are telling Shoot Scoop that the
Sex and the City icon privately reached out to Vogue
editor and her wintur and Lauren Sanchez after her painfully
awkward moment and Watch What Happens Live went viral. So
when she was asked when s JP was asked to
weigh in on Lauren's now infamous Vogue wedding cover, Parker
froze and then offered a barely polite why shouldn't she

(14:31):
have the opportunity? Insider say, SJP didn't mean to throw shade,
but she knows it looked that way, and she adores
Vogue and she knows how much this cover mental Lauren, Oh,
what do you think?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I think this is sweet? When you misstate something, when
you say something that you don't really mean say sorry
like Sarah's like, she's not a mean kil Sarah is.
I don't know why she does that adicovid show the
Best Friend. He always gets to say something. Did She
probably wishes she didn't say, however, she did sort of pause.
It wasn't what she said here. It is the long pause.
I don't think she was expected to be asked that,

(15:05):
but because of sex and the City, her relationship with Vogue,
asking her a vague question is a really really smart.
I thought, Andy, you are so onto this. Her response
though a little bit, just a little bit, Shae. Okay,
we're going to take a quick break and we will
be right back. Welcome back to then Norton and I
shown your homestrom Shoots with a dear friend, Mark Lupo,
Hailey b Let's get to the polls, Lacho. We talked

(15:29):
about Selena Gome. It's not wanting to say I do
unless Taylor Swift can make the wedding. So there was
some controversy about this. Some people are like, oh my god,
the whole wedding is about Taylor Swift. No, that's not
the case. When people get married, they often ask their
family members if they can make it like, does this
date work for you? Like you want your best friends there,
and when your best friend is this busy, you want

(15:50):
to sort of like just check the schedules, Like you
go and see it. You've got three or four different
potential dates, and then you go home. I know I
did this. I know my sister Christine did this. You
go home to mom and dad. What date works better
for you? Oh my goodness, Bet it's going to be
on vacation. We shouldn't do it that day. She's gonna
have to change her plans, and so I think it's
more just coordinating here. But do you think it's a mistake?

(16:11):
What do you think? Do you think checking other people's
schedule for your wedding is a mistake. Let's have a look. Oh,
Only twenty percent said yes, it's a mistake. Eighty percent
think this is a perfectly normal, nice thing to do.
Where are you on this, Mark? Listen?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
They really are best friends. I think it's sweet that
she's holding space for the wedding. But if not, I mean, Taylor,
they can celebrate it some other time, and I think
it's still be okay.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yes, who when you get married, Mark, if you get married,
you'll check with Dorish your mom to make sure she's
not a vacation.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
She's paying for it.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
The Doris. Whatever day you want, will you pick the
day you'll be there. Don't forget to vote today's Paul.
Go to our Twitter page. I'd naughty nicer on our
Facebook page is naughty gossip Amy. Sure to check back
tomorrow to your results are nang Oh, it's the nicest
of the day.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Oh are nicest of the day. This is a first
epic bybing in a long time. It's Barack Obama. Oh
and now. Barack wanted to clap back at divorce rumors,
but his wife Michelle said let it go. Some sources
say Barack thought it was time to shut it down
with a wink. So when Michelle t's a mystery guest

(17:25):
on her The Light podcast, fans got a surprise as
her husband walked out fantastic, I love it and as
playing into the buzz Barack joke, she took me back
and Michelle rolled her eyes and said, don't start.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
It is so funny. I love these dup talk about
Meghan and Harry not having a sense of humor. These
two have a sense of humor. I understand people don't
like them. Maybe politically it's a different party to you.
We're all entitled to our own opinions. But just as
people go, they're good people. Yeah, and to be able
to laugh at yourself is really really important. And there's
seen so many rumors that this marriage is over. Michelle's like, oh,

(18:01):
I ignore it. She's but she's that's that's Michelle. Yeah, yeah,
shut up, who cares? We know the truth. She doesn't
care what we think. Brack Oh, he wanted to set
the records straight. He did it in a very funny way.
But I do laugh that when he did do it,
or tried to do it, she rolled the ry enough.
I think this is adorable. I knowic this of the day,
and I noticed the day naughty, naughty, naughty Sarah Michelle

(18:22):
Geller trying to shoot down and rumors that she doesn't
get along with Jennifer love Hewett. So the two of
them are at the premiere in Los Angeles of I
Know What You Did last summer No photographs together. Now,
A lot of people online were saying, oh, that's weird
that Sarah Michelle Geller and Jennifer Love Hewett. I like
that both of them have three names, would not take
or did not take any pictures together. Well, Sarah Michelle

(18:46):
saw this, and so basically I was inside with my
kids and I just missed the whole carpet. Hardly true, however, Mark,
We've been to enough premieres where we know they get
the two big stars and they drag him into one
photo together and then they go back to their section.
It is a premiere. This was not a night out

(19:07):
with your kids. Premiers are not anything but press ups.
The only reason the movie company pays for a premiere
is to get publicity, not to give you a free ticket,
a free bucket of popcorn for you and your kids.
You're there working. It's a work night, and Sarah Michelle
Gellon knows that she's been in the business long enough
to know that, and so instead of sitting with the kids,

(19:28):
which you can do any and out of the week,
every day of the year, this was a work night
and one picture, just one picture of these two together,
it would have been fantastic. There's no picture, Mark, that's
there's a reason behind that. There's a reason. Say no more. Okay,
let's end with a moment of rab a rub Nothing
kills you faster than your own mind. It's not always

(19:51):
the world the break show, it's your own thoughts. You overthink,
you fall of self, self doubt. This all adds up,
but these are lies, lies rattling around in your head.
You can move forward or you can't, and it is
your choice. Don't. Don't let your mind be your worst enemy, Mark,

(20:16):
let it be your greatest asset. Hey, that is it
for today. Thank you so much for toting. So they're
