It is big story. At the top of the show,
prosecutors claim that Matthew Perry's assistant tried to cover up
ketamine evidence. Wow, so federal prosecutors are saying that Matthew's
former assistant allegedly went on damage control mode immediately after

the actor's death. According to new court filings, I've been
going through them this morning. His assistant was called Kenneth.
Kenneth is accused of ordering kadamine bottles and syringes to
be destroyed. He even shredded documents and deleted digital evidence,
or tried to. We know that evidence never gets deleted.
I see your Nancy Grace. I've learned that from her

and all this is tied to the investigation. So prosecutors
also claim that he lied to investigate us dumb about
the events surrounding Perry's final days, including how many injections
the actor received. The filing alleges that Kenneth later admitted
during a phone call that he quote cleaned up the scene,

deleted records, and even changed passwords on Matthew's devices after
the actor died. He has previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy
to distribute kedamine resulting in death, and is expected to
be sentenced this week. Donne, the evidence is there, the

science is there. Tiding up a desk, washing some blood away,
getting rid of a syringe. It don't make any difference.
Tell the truth. They gotcha, They gotcha. What do you think?

Oh, now, look, I'm not condoning what he did. Do
not lie to authorities. That is the number one rule
that everyone should follow because they will find out. So
once you lie, you're already on bad footing with him.
So don't lie. But he was doing his job, you know,
like and I know that sounds crazy, but that's what

he That's what you know assistants do is they clean
up your mess. That's what assistants are for. They're there
to help you out. So for him, it's what he knew.
You know what I'm saying, If you does that makes sense.
It's like he knew that Matthew Perry needed help in
this moment, and so he goes into I'm his assistant,

I need to clean this up mode. I don't fault
him for that.

That's interesting because it depends who he was trying to help.
If he was trying to cover up Matthew had died
of an overdose, and he was being an assistant even

secret that he didn't want to, and I might be
able to buy. Some people would argue he was covering
up for himself because he was the one that was giving.

And that is a very very different thing for me
to come into your apartment, Donnie and find out that
you've been up to no good and I get rid
of the evidence. That's a very generous thing of me
to do. And However, if I was involved in this
demise of Donni Meacham and I cleaned up the evidence,
would I be helping you? Maybe? Would I be helping me? Absolutely?

So that's the part of this that's very very tricky here.
I do understand we've all not been in a circumstance
like this, thankfully, but we've all had something happened that
we're not proud of that we wish we hadn't done.
We've all tried to cover something up. I don't like
it if I burp in public, I try to pretend
it wasn't me. So I do understand trying to cover

stuff up. I have learnt in life that it's always
better to just tell the truth. It is because the
truth is going to come out, so as awful as
it sounds in the moment, it's actually better for you
to tell your story than anybody else. In my days
in PR, why one of the things I did was
crisis PR when a celebrity got in a ton of trouble,

and the hardest thing was convincing celebrity to tell their story.
Because your instincts, maybe we're taught this as children is
to lie is to pretend we didn't do it. We
did it. And if you actually say you did it,
if you do admit to it, it's awful, terrible. Nobody
likes you for doing something bad, but it's actually better
(05:25):
in the long run, and you certainly you buy yourself
some trust, you buy yourself some authenticity. I admitted. Have
you ever been out in a group of people and
somebody's let off a terrible smell and you're like, who
did that? I would say it was me? I would
now the old me might not admit it. Now I'd say, well,
I'm terribly sorry, I've got a bit of an upset Tommy.

That awful smell is me, and it'd be so embarrassing.
But I think people knew it was me. Where are
you on this? Because you're more devious than I am, Donna,
You're a devious devil.

I am a devious level boy, but I am anything.
I am honest to a fond Because if there's one
thing that I cannot get over is a liar. If
you lie to me, and it's just and it's a
blatant lie that I can figure out. I mean, I'm
actually more just mad because you thought I was that

stupid that I wouldn't figure it out.

That I had a boyfriend a long time, long before
Bruce was probably having like cheating kissing other people and
I knew about it. And the lie that he told
me he wasn't didn't necessarily hurt the feelings didn't. Didn't
the I didn't. It was the fact he thought of
was stupid. Believe that's the part that really bugged me.

This assistant is in a ton of trouble. It's made
it worse for himself by trying to cover it up,
because we know what he did. It's all there, the injection,
we've got the toxic ecology results, we've got the phone records,
we've seen it. Yeah, I wish he had spent us
as much time trying to revive Matthew as he did
covering up for this deed. He spent a lot of

effort trying to cover up this repulsive moment. I wish
he'd spent half that effort trying to keep Matthew alive
and maybe would have a very different story. Today, they're
gonna throw the book at him, which brings us to
our pole question of the day. Matthew Perry's assistant has

to it before it. But you could have rustled up
a piece of cheesecake. What I mean? He didn't, but
I don't hold bat against him. He's quite sexy. He's
quite sexy. I saw him once in the Whole Food
on twenty fourth Street, bending down to get some broccoli,
and he wasn't wearing any underwear. I could see right
down the back of miss jeans. Oh, I separate your
ray wouldn't like broccoli. So I do sort of like

Bobby Chelsea. Though it is funny for a chef to
auder room service. I'd say, you get down to the kitchen,
cooking cheese sandwich, doing yourself, your lazy bones, and then
to build before it. It is funny, but it's also shocking.
I'm not surprised that these two did get a log,
and I do love it. It's naughty that it's kissing
and telling, but I love it. I love it. I

know it's naughty, but it made me giggle. The verdict
not a match. Another foods story. It was food Food Food. Today.
The Jonas Brothers family restaurant is shutting down in Vegas.
This is quite surprising. So they opened Nellie's Southern Kitchen.
I don't necessarily think of them as Southern boys, but
it was in the MGM Grand It only lasted three
years shutting down. They opened it when the brothers had

a residency. That's what they were trying to do. They
were trying to cash in that the brothers were there
in twenty twenty two. You know, it's like Celine diarn
has the gift shop and you have the slot machines
where Elton John's there. They opened a restaurant. It is
really really hard to have a celebrity restaurant. Our friend
Rosanna Scotta has had a restaurant in New York for
what thirty forty years. She hustles, She really works hard

to make that. She doesn't work so unless the Jonas,
the only way a celebrity restaurant works is the food's
got to be good, because that's more important than any celebrity.
It's got to be good food and b The celebrities
have got to turn up. Their parents aren't famous, so
their mom and dad being in the kitchen, being the
matre d being behind the bar doesn't interest me. Want

Nick's standing behind the bar shirtless making me a cocktail,
strumming his guitar, and the brothers didn't really show up
that much. Tricky, isn't it? I think celebrities think they
can just slap their name on anything, bottles of wine,
restaurants and perfumes and it will sell, and often it doesn't.
Just because you are a famous person does not mean

story that's blowing up in LA and really around around
the country about Spencer Pratt. She does not think he
should be the mayor. What does she have to say?

for a second, because this frustrates me. I live, and

I'm still contemplating making a video for it, because there
are attack ads against him all the time. I see
them all the time on the Roku channel and here
it is and they're all like, but their biggest attack
against him is Spencer wants more cops. He wants more cops.
We don't need more cops, we need, you know, more
crisis counselors. Have you walked I live here, I walk

down the street. I'm sorry, a little bit of cop
presence wouldn't hurt. Every time you turn around. There is
crime here, There is breakings, there is fights. Ever have
you looked at the we hold times Instagram. Every weekend
there are brawls on the street, and we have we
hire these peace officers now, but they're standing there watching
the fights happen because they can't do anything.

So I get enough. It's just it's tough.

But it's like I live here, and first of all,
Lisa Renna, you live in Beverly Hills Street where you
don't need to worry about the crime that's happening around you.
So that's the only thing that frustrates me.

It's a really big thing. We don't do politics on
the show, so we're gonna keep this this brief. But
there is a failure of people in positions of power
when you can't walk down your street at night, when
I don't feel safe during anyway, I must admit I
feel very safe in New York, my neighborhood in Chelsea,
in New York, I feel very very safe. I do

have friends in LA who used to feel really safe,
and they told me La is a different town. That is,
it is a tough, tough town. Bruce was there for
several months working on his show Harmony in downtown LA,
which is what's sort of commonly known as Skiro and
it was a little after the show. We had finished
at ten thirty at night, and we got a car home.

We didn't walk back to the hotel. And it was
it was a little it was a little alarming, but
you saw out of the windows, and so I do
understand people's frustrations here. It's tricky. Lisa got herself into this.
She didn't have to answer this, and so she did
speak up. And now people are talking about it. But
it'd be interesting, Donnor you live there. It's true what

my friends are saying, what you're saying. It's not the la.
We know it's a tough tann and you live in
a nice neighborhood. You're not inside Hollywood. West Harley used
to be lovely West hallo. Oh, it used to be
so safe and all the games and the abbey and

Moving along, Russell Crow is warning fans to not be

quite as aggressive. So he's coming out of his hotel
in Paris and fans go nuts and they're pushing and
they're shoving. They want him to sign stuff, and he
basically says you've all got to stop believe it. He said,
you got to stop it so pushy. You've got to
be patient here, he said, I'm quite happy to sign stuff,
but don't act like a d ic k now a line.
People have really supported this, saying it's really refreshing that

the fans were just rude. He gets it, he gets
what you want. He's willing to sign it, but you
can ask in a very nice way. I find that
the nicer you water celebrities, the more likely they are

Jenna Bush told me on the Today Show that she
hated having security when she was growing up. These men
following her in sunglasses and suits when she's trying to

grow up. So he is a little bit more complicated.
My question was, does he just need to get over it?
Does Travis need to get over it? Let's have a look.
Seventy percent said yes, it's not going to change even
when they get married. He can want to protect her,
and he should protect her. She needs this layer of security.
It makes things awkward. Can they be spur of the moment?

Kevin Hart is defending his controversial roast, saying that he

his name is a right wing comic. There's been a
lot of pushback in Heart is saying that critics are
unfairly blaming him for somebody else's material. This is very
complicated because it was Kevin's roast and he could have

pushed back in the moment. Roasts are meant to be outrageous, However,
there has to be I hope there are some things
that you can't say, that you shouldn't say, that are
not funny, and to laugh along is not right. Miss
DearS taught me I can't be neutral about stuff that
is wrong, racism. If somebody says something racist, walking out

of the room doesn't have help. You have to you
have to stand up. You have to say something. And
Kevin could have spoken up in the roast he didn't
and said I don't think that's funny, or after the
roast it wasn't live. He could have had it edited

I am honest to a fond Because if there's one
thing that I cannot get over is a liar. If
you lie to me, and it's just and it's a
blatant lie that I can figure out. I mean, I'm
actually more just mad because you thought I was that

That I had a boyfriend a long time, long before
Bruce was probably having like cheating kissing other people and
I knew about it. And the lie that he told
me he wasn't didn't necessarily hurt the feelings didn't. Didn't
the I didn't. It was the fact he thought of
was stupid. Believe that's the part that really bugged me.

This assistant is in a ton of trouble. It's made
it worse for himself by trying to cover it up,
because we know what he did. It's all there, the injection,
we've got the toxic ecology results, we've got the phone records,
we've seen it. Yeah, I wish he had spent us
as much time trying to revive Matthew as he did
covering up for this deed. He spent a lot of

effort trying to cover up this repulsive moment. I wish
he'd spent half that effort trying to keep Matthew alive
and maybe would have a very different story. Today, they're
gonna throw the book at him, which brings us to
our pole question of the day. Matthew Perry's assistant has
been accused of trying to cover up evidence after Matthew died.
Should he get a jail? His sentence is coming in

they went out and he's cheap that she says he's cheap.

the Food Network. Thirty two shows and they're all renewed.

So the room service came and she was handed a bill.
He ordered it, but she had a flavor, which is hilarious.
It's funny because goes into like joke territory. But then
she admitted that she actually ended up going on on
a date date with him and it just didn't work.

That didn't work, didn't match? Did it work? I know
him a little bit. We email each other. I know
him to say hello too. We know each other socially.
He's a very nice guy. I don't know if he's
cheap or not, because I've never had that opportunity. Although
I did eat him one of his restaurants and he
sent the bill. I didn't get a free dessert. Oh
I didn't get Apparently I didn't expec the whole wheel

to it before it. But you could have rustled up
a piece of cheesecake. What I mean? He didn't, but
I don't hold bat against him. He's quite sexy. He's
quite sexy. I saw him once in the Whole Food
on twenty fourth Street, bending down to get some broccoli,
and he wasn't wearing any underwear. I could see right
down the back of miss jeans. Oh, I separate your
ray wouldn't like broccoli. So I do sort of like

Bobby Chelsea. Though it is funny for a chef to
auder room service. I'd say, you get down to the kitchen,
cooking cheese sandwich, doing yourself, your lazy bones, and then
to build before it. It is funny, but it's also shocking.
I'm not surprised that these two did get a log,
and I do love it. It's naughty that it's kissing
and telling, but I love it. I love it. I

know it's naughty, but it made me giggle. The verdict
not a match. Another foods story. It was food Food Food. Today.
The Jonas Brothers family restaurant is shutting down in Vegas.
This is quite surprising. So they opened Nellie's Southern Kitchen.
I don't necessarily think of them as Southern boys, but
it was in the MGM Grand It only lasted three
years shutting down. They opened it when the brothers had

a residency. That's what they were trying to do. They
were trying to cash in that the brothers were there
in twenty twenty two. You know, it's like Celine diarn
has the gift shop and you have the slot machines
where Elton John's there. They opened a restaurant. It is
really really hard to have a celebrity restaurant. Our friend
Rosanna Scotta has had a restaurant in New York for
what thirty forty years. She hustles, She really works hard
(10:38):
to make that. She doesn't work so unless the Jonas,
the only way a celebrity restaurant works is the food's
got to be good, because that's more important than any celebrity.
It's got to be good food and b The celebrities
have got to turn up. Their parents aren't famous, so
their mom and dad being in the kitchen, being the
matre d being behind the bar doesn't interest me. Want
(11:00):
Nick's standing behind the bar shirtless making me a cocktail,
strumming his guitar, and the brothers didn't really show up
that much. Tricky, isn't it? I think celebrities think they
can just slap their name on anything, bottles of wine,
restaurants and perfumes and it will sell, and often it doesn't.
Just because you are a famous person does not mean

this is going to be a hit. Would you go
to the Jonas Brother's restaurant, Donnie? What do you think
is it interesting?
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Well, here's the problem. The thing is is, yes, it
was Kevin Senior's grandmother's name, but Nelly doesn't scream Jonas Brother.

How do we know that? Or you're a marketing Jonius.
I don't want this, Nelly. I want it to be
called the Jonas Brothers restaurant with shirtless Nick behind the bar.
Let's spell it out wearing pants that are way too tight.
That's what I want at the Jonas brother You're very smart, Donnie. Okay,

moving along, and Lisa Renna is shutting down a big
story that's blowing up in LA and really around around
the country about Spencer Pratt. She does not think he
should be the mayor. What does she have to say?

What she should have shut down? Is that outfit? She honey,
those baggage, Lisa, you knew.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Better than that. Oh, it's terrible.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
It's So she was on the carpet at the American
Music Awards and she was asked about Spencer Pratt's murial campaign,
and she goes, we've seen what happens when a celebrity
runs the government, which obviously a diget, mister Trump, who
are this?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
You know?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
The Apprentice host? And but here's the thing, now, this
is where I'm gonna go on a brace with me
for a second, because this frustrates me. I live, and
I trust me. I am not advocating for Spencer Pratt.
Trust me, I have all weekened.

I was.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
I'm still contemplating making a video for it, because there
are attack ads against him all the time. I see
them all the time on the Roku channel and here
it is and they're all like, but their biggest attack
against him is Spencer wants more cops. He wants more cops.
We don't need more cops, we need, you know, more
crisis counselors. Have you walked I live here, I walk
(13:14):
down the street. I'm sorry, a little bit of cop
presence wouldn't hurt. Every time you turn around. There is
crime here, There is breakings, there is fights. Ever have
you looked at the we hold times Instagram. Every weekend
there are brawls on the street, and we have we
hire these peace officers now, but they're standing there watching
the fights happen because they can't do anything.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
So I get enough. It's just it's tough.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
But it's like I live here, and first of all,
Lisa Renna, you live in Beverly Hills Street where you
don't need to worry about the crime that's happening around you.
So that's the only thing that frustrates me.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
It's a really big thing. We don't do politics on
the show, so we're gonna keep this this brief. But
there is a failure of people in positions of power
when you can't walk down your street at night, when
I don't feel safe during anyway, I must admit I
feel very safe in New York, my neighborhood in Chelsea,
in New York, I feel very very safe. I do
(14:15):
have friends in LA who used to feel really safe,
and they told me La is a different town. That is,
it is a tough, tough town. Bruce was there for
several months working on his show Harmony in downtown LA,
which is what's sort of commonly known as Skiro and
it was a little after the show. We had finished
at ten thirty at night, and we got a car home.
(14:37):
We didn't walk back to the hotel. And it was
it was a little it was a little alarming, but
you saw out of the windows, and so I do
understand people's frustrations here. It's tricky. Lisa got herself into this.
She didn't have to answer this, and so she did
speak up. And now people are talking about it. But
it'd be interesting, Donnor you live there. It's true what
(14:58):
my friends are saying, what you're saying. It's not the la.
We know it's a tough tann and you live in
a nice neighborhood. You're not inside Hollywood. West Harley used
to be lovely West hallo. Oh, it used to be
so safe and all the games and the abbey and
you could wander up and down that strip and oh,
I loved West Hollywood. I'm told it's a different place. Okay,
Moving along, Russell Crow is warning fans to not be
(15:21):
quite as aggressive. So he's coming out of his hotel
in Paris and fans go nuts and they're pushing and
they're shoving. They want him to sign stuff, and he
basically says you've all got to stop believe it. He said,
you got to stop it so pushy. You've got to
be patient here, he said, I'm quite happy to sign stuff,
but don't act like a d ic k now a line.
People have really supported this, saying it's really refreshing that

the fans were just rude. He gets it, he gets
what you want. He's willing to sign it, but you
can ask in a very nice way. I find that
the nicer you water celebrities, the more likely they are
to stand there and sign your stuff. Okay, we're going

think he thinks that a man should take care of

But he is from that school where he would like
to really who wouldn't who wouldn't want to take care

of their partner. However, Taylor Swift is a different, different partner.
She has security with her all the time, and that's
very tricky for him. And he's got a figure at ad,
not just for him, anybody that has twenty four hour security.
Jenna Bush told me on the Today Show that she
hated having security when she was growing up. These men
following her in sunglasses and suits when she's trying to

grow up. So he is a little bit more complicated.
My question was, does he just need to get over it?
Does Travis need to get over it? Let's have a look.
Seventy percent said yes, it's not going to change even
when they get married. He can want to protect her,
and he should protect her. She needs this layer of security.
It makes things awkward. Can they be spur of the moment?

Maybe not. They have to plan stuff, They can't just
turn up anywhere, and so it's tricky. But he didn't
get with Taylor when she was a developing artist and
up and coming artist. He knew what he was getting into.
He dated her at the peak of her success during
the airas too. That's when he met her. And that's
Taylor that we have today, So I don't feel sorry

for anybody here. If Taylor has to deal with it,
this is part of her life and so get over it. Hey,

and their young son, Rebel, Which is interesting because I
will be I will be honest, I'm not sure that

Queen Latifa has ever come out and said I'm a lesbian.

She has not.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I mean, I'm not mistaken. It's never happened. So for
her to do this is a very It's just one
of those moments. I think it's almost like, I will say,
it's like a maybe a Shawn Mendez moment allegedly where
it's like, I'm living my truth, truth right in front
of your face. Why do I need to say it?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah? I think this is a major moment. She doesn't
want to talk about it. That's her parocrotipe. I think
she could have done a lot of good if she
spoke about it, but I'm not gonna judge it for that.
But I'm glad that she's now found her comfort And
don't live lies, anybody out there, live your authentic life
and nice as the day now I noticed the day naughty, Naughty, Naughty.
Kevin Hart is defending his controversial roast, saying that he

would not have told that joke. Though, so there was
a George Floyd's joke told by Tony Hitchcliff. I believe
his name is a right wing comic. There's been a
lot of pushback in Heart is saying that critics are
unfairly blaming him for somebody else's material. This is very
complicated because it was Kevin's roast and he could have
(19:36):
pushed back in the moment. Roasts are meant to be outrageous, However,
there has to be I hope there are some things
that you can't say, that you shouldn't say, that are
not funny, and to laugh along is not right. Miss
DearS taught me I can't be neutral about stuff that
is wrong, racism. If somebody says something racist, walking out
(19:58):
of the room doesn't have help. You have to you
have to stand up. You have to say something. And
Kevin could have spoken up in the roast he didn't
and said I don't think that's funny, or after the
roast it wasn't live. He could have had it edited
out like that one joke across the line. And so
it's complicated here. George Floyd's a state. His relatives have

expressed his family have expressed outrage. I think it went
too far. Okay, let's end with a moment of rob
You're trust yourself enough to move forward, decide that success,
success is possible. Plan your future as if it is
all gonna be okay, move forward with the life that

you really want. Too many people stay frozen waiting for
stuff to come along that never does. Confidence is not
knowing everything will work out perfectly. It's believing that you
will handle whatever happens next. Fear keeps people stark in
preparation mode. No faith creates momotum momentum. Have faith. Have faith.

Every great, great change begins with one powerful choice to
stop expecting failure and start expecting success. Change the way
you think. Stop expecting things to go wrong, start expecting
