This is what the problem is. The family is asking
for privacy lit at the same time they're doing interviews.

It doesn't add up. We are trying to give Perez
the grace he wouldn't have given us. I love that expression,
because we can be bigger than this. I don't think
anybody deserves stuff. I don't believe in karma. This is
just awful. And I have a lot of sympathy, and

I can also be kind and not delete the past.
Perez has done some really awful things, and at the
moment my concern is those kids, who thankfully are now
with the mother. The mother we broke this story first,

has been Barbara. Perez doesn't do that much posting anymore.
They might want you to think it's Perez, but I
know it is his sister. This is where it gets complicated.
His sister has always been in his shadow, yet she's
been doing the work, and now there's a feeling, at

least in the inner cirtle, that this is her moment,
this is her time to step forward, this is her
moment to shine in a Shakespearean the dynamics in this family.
Let's keep remembering there is somebody in a hospital who
tried to kill themselves, so let's definitely remember that. But
now this jostling for attention, this ambition, this jealousy seems

to be bubbling up, and we should point out as well,
the website doesn't do very well anymore. The numbers have
not been good in basically a decade. For a minute,
it was the biggest site in the world, and we
all went the nuts for it. But it called very quickly.
And that wasn't just Perez's personality and vicious nature that
did that. The world change Now we have social media,

Now we have substat now we have other newsletters, we
have other ways to get information. I've had to adapt.
My website doesn't exist anymore now I have a substep.
Instead of you coming to me each day, I come
to you and that's through email, and that's what Perez
has not really adapted to. So I'm told over the
last few days, traffic has gone through the roof on

the website because everybody's so interested in this story. I've
not visited Perez's website in a decade, but I did
this week, and the family are using the website to
put out official statements. So this is starting to feel
a little opportunist. It feels as if it's capitalizing financially
momentarily on this, and that doesn't feel good. What are

your thought? It's complicated one, but I know you can
handle it. What do you think?

Yeah, well, we also spoke recently about how seemingly Perez
himself was enjoying some of the actual return to the spotlight.
So you know, I'm not going to make any assessment
there other than you know, he's been sort of hungry
for the return for a long time, So I'm not
going to say his attempt at what he had done

was not serious. Is because it was very disturbing and
it could have easily resulted in actual death. But you
have to wonder in situations where people like this are
somewhat addicted to attention, as we know he has been,
how far will someone go to get it? And then,
of course how far will someone go who's been starving
for it like his sister. These are really serious human
(04:22):
traits that we've seen over and over again destroy people.
So it's a heck of a way to sort of
get your moment, to capitalize on your brother's attempted suicide,
But it could very well be what's happening. This may
be her moment, she thinks.

So that's what the whispers are, kry, that's what everybody's
talking about. Who I'm talking to, who know? Prayers? We've
seen this with reality stars, haven't we where the reality
gets blurred. The character that they play is themselves. So
it's not like then Nicole Kidsman or an actress playing
the character that you can put to one side and
go home, although actors do struggle with that too. You're
playing yourself on television and then you become that character.

I always used to say to my friends, I'm not
sure where Jennifer Lopez started and ended and j Loo
began like church together. And so Perez has played literally
he's not Perez. His name's Mario. He's played a character
of Perez for over twenty years, and I think he's
got character away with what is real and what isn't.

And this happens all the time in reality TV. People
that are starved for attention, people that are influencers. I've
seen this a lot with the generation of influencers, people
who provide content. It's constantly feeding the beast. They live
on camera. That's how they make their money and we
reward them. The more controversial. We've seen this from Bethany
(05:43):
Frankel and Teresa on The Housewives. The more controversial, the
more outrageous, the more awful things you say to Ka Carlson,
the more people are going to watch and Perez has
been rewarded for years for really bad behavior. This, my
friends tell me, was going to explode. They knew trouble
(06:04):
and they're surprised it actually didn't happen sooner. Now we're
finding out just a few weeks before the attempted suicide,
Perez checked himself into hospital for severe depression. So we're
going to have a lot of these stories coming forward.
But that brings us to our whole question of the day.
I want to know what you think about this. Perez's
sister is out there doing interviews, exclusive interviews while asking

for privacy. Should she shut up? Should she be quiet?
Is this a moment to not capitalize on the press,
to not make more money on the website, to not
tell your brother's story. I think I would have just
put out a very brief statement and that would have
been it no more. Now all my focus would be
on my brother healing of pereers. That doesn't seem to

before the cameras called him allegedly just like walking past

I know that could be something that's maybe fueling this
on the back end, but really, I don't think there's

Off with care. Yeah, A couple of thoughts here. One,
I have a report yesterday and a breaking news story
on my substack that there are some political dealings here
that there's been a little bit of an I sing,
a little bit of a cooling of the relationship. Let's

fundraiser for Spencer Pratt in California where she was singing

You're simply the Best teena Turner song to Spencer Pratt, right,
and so it was very controversial. I'm told Meghan was
invited to that fundraiser, did not go. Meghan has been
very clear about her political views. So is there a
little bit of frostiness here? Is there a little bit
of cooling? Yes, it makes me sad, but I think
that's happened maybe in all of our lives over the
last ten years or so it's tricky juggling all this.

I'm also aware to as a former publicists that these
red carpets, you've worked so many of them, Corey, these
red carpets, they are not a total picture of what's
going on. So often the celebrities meet and greek behind
the red carpet, I don't see them. So me and
you were in a holding pen, were in a little
private room. Cory, Hi, Corey, miss you, how are you, kissy, kissy,

love you, love you. Let's let's go for drinks, blah
blah blah. And then we walk out on the red
carpet and we start taking pictures. But the photographers, the
press haven't seen the little private moments. Suddenly it looks
like that did not happen. But it did happen. When
you walk into a bar, a restaurant, you say hello
when you first see one another. You don't say it
throughout the night, at the top of each hour. And
(09:46):
so celebrities should remember that if they walk out on
a red carpet, it's a reset for the press. It's
the start of the movie, it's.

And so I say, even if we've said hello to
each other, backstage, when we walk out on the carpet,
let's say hell low again, that's going to be covered.
And that's where the book starts. You can't read anything
before that first chapter, and so that's something for celebrities
to really keep an eye on. Okay, moving forward, Taylor
Swift has been spotted in London. Travis has returned to football.

So this is what's going to be so interesting about
this couple. They knew it was going to happen. They
both have massive careers. He's in Kansas City preparing for
his fourteenth season in the NFL. She's in London. We
spotted her leaving a private members club a little late
around midnight. There's no beef here. They're not falling out.
This is just life. My sources tell no, they're figuring
this out now. They have private planes, they have tons
(10:38):
of money, They speak, they talk, they laugh all day long.
But they both have very, very big careers. She's not
going to stop her career for him. He's not going
to stop his career for her, and so we're going
to get used to seeing this. It was a little
shocking at first. Just a few weeks after the wedding,
she's in London and a club by herself or with
her friends, and he's in Kansas City. That's just the

nature of the job. What I am told from my
sources is the two of them know lots of celebrity
relationships have failed because of distance, and they're not going
to do that. They've got a ten day rule. Every
ten days they have to see each other, not a
phone call. So they've got the resources to make it
happen too. But that is now going to be built
in the schedule. It really means she's going to be
(11:22):
flying to him because his job is or he can't
leave there. She can write anywhere, she can't perform anywhere,
although she could do a residency in Kansas City for
the next twenty years and that would sell out. But
if you're a songwriter, you have the great fortune. I'm
married to a songwriter. You can take your rhyming dictionary
and your pad of pen and you can write your

favorite pen you look anywhere, So don't worry about this one.
But it is interesting seeing the first pictures of them
not together. Buddy, think yeah, I know.

And you bring up a great point about celebrities who've
really been torn apart by the fact that they are celebrities.
That's the irony of the relationship. They are this big
celebrity couple and it's going to be that level of
fame that potentially is the obstacle that separates them. So
I'm hoping that's not the case with these two. You know,
I want them to. I want all celebrities to somehow

find that middle road where they can live like normal
people and also maintain their careers.

I just have not seen.

The track record is not very good for that. So
I'm hoping they make the exception through the through the rule.
But you know, we've just we've just seen it go
badly so often, so I hope maybe they'll be the exception.

I think. So I'm optimistic about these two. Okay, moving along,
we finally found out what Margo Robbie earned for Bobbie.
It is massive. Yeah, give us numbers.

Yeah, it's crazy. So she walked away with a staggering
fifty million dollars for starring on movie. But she also
did produce. She still will say, so that's another credit.
So maybe they can justify it some way that way.
But you know, so if they do a sequel, mind
you now they gave her fifty million the first time around.
You can only imagine she's walking in there like I'm

gonna need more than fifty million to do a part two.
But they are talking about a part two, and Warner
has made more than six offers to her core creative team,
but none of them have been accepted. Now that doesn't
mean it's all monetary, though that also could be things
like control of the film and you know, creative creative direction.
It depends on what those offers. It depends on what
those offers offered. But Robbie and Ryan Gofflin and Greta Gerwig,

you know they're seeking bigger upfront one and more lucrative
back end deals and so and don't forget to Robbie
like got snubbed by the Oscars. It's really weird, I mean,
and then Ryan won and the film is all about
women's liberation and they don't even nominate the woman playing Barbie.
That seemed almost like intentional to me.

Yeah, not a good look, a though she got the
fifty billion dollars.

Yeah, maybe that's why we now know they were like, well,
the heck, she's already got her.

they do not sign a deal in the next six months,
the rights go back to Mantel and Warner Brothers lose
the rights to a billion dollar franch always, and so
they are desperate to make this deal. Marco is a
smart business person. She knows that they're desperate. A day

before the rights expire, they will offer her crazy because
they did make one point four billion, so there is
a lot of money here to be shared. And I think,
you know. I'm from the school of know you're worth.
A lot of us think we know our worth, and
we really don't. There are many many people that can
do what I can do. There are not many people

who can be Barbie, and Margot knows that. I think
they could. Don't hate me everybody. I think they could
replace Ken, but I think she's non negotiable. Like another
cute guy, Ryan Goslin's delicious, but there's ten of them
that could be there. I'd rather Goslin keep the part,

is who could in that wrong. But I don't know

remember that David Fospher and his wife they threw a
fundraiser for Spencer Pratt in California where she was singing

You're simply the Best teena Turner song to Spencer Pratt, right,
and so it was very controversial. I'm told Meghan was
invited to that fundraiser, did not go. Meghan has been
very clear about her political views. So is there a
little bit of frostiness here? Is there a little bit
of cooling? Yes, it makes me sad, but I think
that's happened maybe in all of our lives over the
last ten years or so it's tricky juggling all this.
(09:02):
I'm also aware to as a former publicists that these
red carpets, you've worked so many of them, Corey, these
red carpets, they are not a total picture of what's
going on. So often the celebrities meet and greek behind
the red carpet, I don't see them. So me and
you were in a holding pen, were in a little
private room. Cory, Hi, Corey, miss you, how are you, kissy, kissy,
(09:25):
love you, love you. Let's let's go for drinks, blah
blah blah. And then we walk out on the red
carpet and we start taking pictures. But the photographers, the
press haven't seen the little private moments. Suddenly it looks
like that did not happen. But it did happen. When
you walk into a bar, a restaurant, you say hello
when you first see one another. You don't say it
throughout the night, at the top of each hour. And
(09:46):
so celebrities should remember that if they walk out on
a red carpet, it's a reset for the press. It's
the start of the movie, it's.

And so I say, even if we've said hello to
each other, backstage, when we walk out on the carpet,
let's say hell low again, that's going to be covered.
And that's where the book starts. You can't read anything
before that first chapter, and so that's something for celebrities
to really keep an eye on. Okay, moving forward, Taylor
Swift has been spotted in London. Travis has returned to football.

So this is what's going to be so interesting about
this couple. They knew it was going to happen. They
both have massive careers. He's in Kansas City preparing for
his fourteenth season in the NFL. She's in London. We
spotted her leaving a private members club a little late
around midnight. There's no beef here. They're not falling out.
This is just life. My sources tell no, they're figuring
this out now. They have private planes, they have tons
(10:38):
of money, They speak, they talk, they laugh all day long.
But they both have very, very big careers. She's not
going to stop her career for him. He's not going
to stop his career for her, and so we're going
to get used to seeing this. It was a little
shocking at first. Just a few weeks after the wedding,
she's in London and a club by herself or with
her friends, and he's in Kansas City. That's just the
(11:00):
nature of the job. What I am told from my
sources is the two of them know lots of celebrity
relationships have failed because of distance, and they're not going
to do that. They've got a ten day rule. Every
ten days they have to see each other, not a
phone call. So they've got the resources to make it
happen too. But that is now going to be built
in the schedule. It really means she's going to be
(11:22):
flying to him because his job is or he can't
leave there. She can write anywhere, she can't perform anywhere,
although she could do a residency in Kansas City for
the next twenty years and that would sell out. But
if you're a songwriter, you have the great fortune. I'm
married to a songwriter. You can take your rhyming dictionary
and your pad of pen and you can write your
(11:44):
favorite pen you look anywhere, So don't worry about this one.
But it is interesting seeing the first pictures of them
not together. Buddy, think yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
And you bring up a great point about celebrities who've
really been torn apart by the fact that they are celebrities.
That's the irony of the relationship. They are this big
celebrity couple and it's going to be that level of
fame that potentially is the obstacle that separates them. So
I'm hoping that's not the case with these two. You know,
I want them to. I want all celebrities to somehow
(12:13):
find that middle road where they can live like normal
people and also maintain their careers.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
I just have not seen.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
The track record is not very good for that. So
I'm hoping they make the exception through the through the rule.
But you know, we've just we've just seen it go
badly so often, so I hope maybe they'll be the exception.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
I think. So I'm optimistic about these two. Okay, moving along,
we finally found out what Margo Robbie earned for Bobbie.
It is massive. Yeah, give us numbers.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, it's crazy. So she walked away with a staggering
fifty million dollars for starring on movie. But she also
did produce. She still will say, so that's another credit.
So maybe they can justify it some way that way.
But you know, so if they do a sequel, mind
you now they gave her fifty million the first time around.
You can only imagine she's walking in there like I'm
(13:07):
gonna need more than fifty million to do a part two.
But they are talking about a part two, and Warner
has made more than six offers to her core creative team,
but none of them have been accepted. Now that doesn't
mean it's all monetary, though that also could be things
like control of the film and you know, creative creative direction.
It depends on what those offers. It depends on what
those offers offered. But Robbie and Ryan Gofflin and Greta Gerwig,
(13:31):
you know they're seeking bigger upfront one and more lucrative
back end deals and so and don't forget to Robbie
like got snubbed by the Oscars. It's really weird, I mean,
and then Ryan won and the film is all about
women's liberation and they don't even nominate the woman playing Barbie.
That seemed almost like intentional to me.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, not a good look, a though she got the
fifty billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, maybe that's why we now know they were like, well,
the heck, she's already got her.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Off, Like this is com because I'm told that if
they do not sign a deal in the next six months,
the rights go back to Mantel and Warner Brothers lose
the rights to a billion dollar franch always, and so
they are desperate to make this deal. Marco is a
smart business person. She knows that they're desperate. A day

before the rights expire, they will offer her crazy because
they did make one point four billion, so there is
a lot of money here to be shared. And I think,
you know. I'm from the school of know you're worth.
A lot of us think we know our worth, and
we really don't. There are many many people that can
do what I can do. There are not many people
(14:41):
who can be Barbie, and Margot knows that. I think
they could. Don't hate me everybody. I think they could
replace Ken, but I think she's non negotiable. Like another
cute guy, Ryan Goslin's delicious, but there's ten of them
that could be there. I'd rather Goslin keep the part,
but we could think of some other guys. Yummy Yummy
is who could in that wrong. But I don't know

after being convicted on two prostitution related transportation charges and

You know you are successful when the younger self, when
your younger self, would be proud of you. Success isn't
about what you've achieved. It's about becoming who you are

along the way that younger version of you. If that
younger version of you could see you today and be
proud of you, then you have succeeded. Take a moment
