What's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Do you guys notice that hockey is really having a
moment in pop culture with TV shows, you know, like
with heated rivalry and off campus. And all this time
I thought there was only one kind of hockey. I'm sorry, what,
but apparently that's not true. There's a new kind of
hockey that is trending and is riding the coattails of
the regular hockey.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
And I will tell you that is so confusing.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
It's like pickleball rides the tail of tennis.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Air hockey, field hockey. All right, Well, then there's and
even another type of hockey, risby hockey.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Okay, smarty parents, there's one you don't know about yet.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'm going to tell you in a second that one
I know.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
But first, the Internet is mad mad. So there's a
viral TikTok where somebody posted about how they went to
purchase milkshakes at shape Shack and the cost of the
cost of the.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
That's just so such a funny start to the story.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
We're telling me they don't purchase shakes from don't make
me laugh.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
So they go to purchase these shakes, but the price
changed because they decided not to tip. This is why
people are mad. So they document the whole thing. There's
a video. They go up to the kiosk, they order
the three shakes. When it gives you the option how
much do you want to tip? Fifteen percent, eighteen, twenty
percent or no tip. They chose no tip. Then a
pop up appears that says, uh, oh, there's been a

pricing update to one or more of your cart items.
They go back to the cart and see that all
of the shakes are now fifty cents more.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
WHOA.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
So people of course are mad mad about it. Since
then Shakeshack's like, oh, well, thank you for bringing this
to our attention. That is not a shake shack policy.
We're currently looking into it.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Why Bond.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Put that coding into their kiosk. It's not part of.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
The like they they are going to go look into
the program that does this, because you shouldn't be able
to do that. And apparently it's only at this one
location in Salt Lake City. It's in the airport. But
people are like, well, this is just the beginning, and
then other people are like, give them the benefit of
the doubt. Shakeshack didn't know. So there's two sides to
the story.

But I don't get. But the fact that it happened
at all, that is that legal.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Wait that like a I like the A I bought
is like no, no my tip.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
That it said, Oh yeah, I'm gonna get my tip anyway.
So yeah, let us know if you ever see something

having conversations like this. The Forever Twilight and Forks Festival
is back September tenth through September thirteenth, and it always
happens here in Forks. So we're really lucky because you
it's drivable for us, but people come from all over
the world to it.

Wait, I'm sorry, what, Yeah, how did you go before
I've gone to it?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I know I haven't gone to it yet either.

This was my birthday. My girlfriend scheduled a camping trip
and it happened to be out. It happened to be
like basically at Forks. It wasn't like she said, hey,
I have your birthday, I'm taking you to the Twilight Festival,
although I would have been down, but it was like,
we're going here, but also the Towilet festivals here, let's go.

And Edward yeah and always did that weekend was watching
the Twilight series.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
She were like a little kid excited to go to Disneyland.

It was a cold Man birthday Man, Well, hey, you
can have a repeat of that if you wanted to.
The cool thing is is most of it's free. Basically
everything is free if you've never been, it's a great idea.
And the celebrity guests this year will be Ashley Green
and Jackson wrath Bone. So they got Q and A panels,
all kinds of stuff. Maybe Jubiles creeping around.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, he's got glitter on his face, sparkle.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
I knew that. The worst part was I was trying
to see if I could scalp tickets to the big
event that they had because it sells out and I
didn't know, you know, we didn't know that that was
that weekend, and so I was like standing outside trying
to ask you to buy their glasses.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Really did do it?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, it's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Is that the only time you tried to buy Scout
events as well?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
But the first time for a Twilight Festival event?

Did you find any No?

I wasn't able to because they were a hot commodity?

Would God? Just like I still like, I didn't see
that coming.

Speaking of heated, so heated rivalry off campus, those shows
have been definitely big moments in pop culture, making hockey
kind of a big conversation. Apparently there are multiple kinds
of hockey that we did not discuss. He's like air hockey,
field hockey. Okay, but what about underwater hockey. Do you
know about underwater hockey? Well, underwater hockey is trending right

(06:31):
now because they're.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Like, hello, look at us. We've been doing this since
two thousand and four. Pay attention.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Carolina's club underwater hockey team. This is what it's called.
So they've got multiple teams that participate. Actually, and it's
six on six, So these guys go underwater. One team
has black sticks, the other's team has white sticks. So
that way you can like hold on so they can
identify it underwater because they've got goggles on, they've got

flippers on, have got all this stuff while they're trying
to just push the little hockey puck across the bottom
of the pool.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Their stakes are tiny though, yes, no, you're right, the
sticks are shorter.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
The stick is about a foot long. And so Michigan State.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Participates, Florida, George Mason, Illinois, Georgia Tech, these all have them.
And the way that they described the way that the
game goes. Once it starts, they scream sticks up, go,
and then all of a sudden, the water is like
chaotic and it's just like little like little mermaids, and
like you're sitting here trying to watch this game, can
you imagine, and you're just trying to take a peek underwaters.

These people are flipping around smacking their little sticks.

I'm just thinking about like when they do like a
slapstick shot, Like how slow motion and frustrating that would
be to try to, like you see the opening to
hit it takes you forever to push into water.

You have to beat it.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Like water polo is one of the hardest games of
all time because you're constantly treading water. Like I can't
even imagine underwater hockey. That's just like next lession.
