Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello, and welcome to what will briefly continue to be
Danielle With but soon transform into my newest show, Team
Beat with Danielle Fishall. I am your host, TV director, podcaster,
mother of two, and winner of Calabasas High School's nineteen

(00:34):
ninety nine Best Hair Superlative, and I have the high
school yearbook to prove it. But to most of the planet,
I am formerly to Panga Lawrence on the nineties family
sitcom Boy Meets World, and a recent competitor on the
thirty fourth season of Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
And today I am joining you live.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
From Disneyland's California Adventure on location and talking into a
microphone near the vehicular paradise that is known as cars Land.
Although I was eliminated eighth on Dancing with the Stars,
my career as a professional dancer continues, as I will
now be hitting the road in my own Lightning MC

(01:18):
Queen of Sorts as part of the show's national live tour,
which kicks off January twenty second in Akron, Ohio. And
I thought, while I'm here in the happiest place on Earth,
we could get into my excitement not only about being
able to co host the tour, but.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
About dancing in the show and for the idea of traveling.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
To cities all around, well at least one part of
the country. So I'm very excited that I was asked
to be a part of the tour. As I mentioned,
it kicks off in January twenty second, but I begin
significantly earlier than that with rehearsals. We have not had
our official kickoff conver yet where I get to have

(02:02):
a say and what dances I do, how many dances
I do, what the co hosting responsibilities are.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
But if you've gotten to know.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Me at all over the last several years of Podmeets
World and over the last three months of Danielle with
you know I like to be booked and busy, and
so my plan is to tell them that I want
to host as much as they will let me, and
to dance as much as they will let me. I
basically want to come home from tour with abs like

(02:32):
alex Earle, since I did not develop them while doing
the show. I saw her recent post where she said
dancing for five hours a day for three months will
do it, and I wanted to be like, well, I
did that, but I have no abs they're there. I
think I just maybe ate some more oreos than she did.

(02:54):
I am doing twenty eight Dancing with the Stars tour shows.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Now that does not mean twenty eight cities. It just
means twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Shows because, believe it or not, quite a few of
them have a matinee and then another show that night.
So it'd be like doing two Dancing with the Stars
live episodes in one day, which I have never done before.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I have no idea how that's gonna go. I'm not
sure how my body is gonna handle it, but you
know me.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I'm gonna fully throw myself into it because I'm super
excited about this experience.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Now I'm a little nervous.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
We do have a plan for how Jensen and the
kids are gonna come out and join us. They're gonna
join me for about a week, and they're coming for
some of the dates that are a little closer together.
So we're gonna have our own sprinter van and we're
gonna road trip as a family for part of this time.
In order to get to that, I will have to
be apart from my kids for a couple of weeks,

(03:51):
which is significantly longer than I've ever been away from them.
The longest I've ever been away from my children has
been five days, and now I'm gonna have two weeks.
Not sure how that's going to go. I'm going to
miss them terribly and they are going to miss me terribly.
But then I hope the fact that they get to
join me on an epic, once in a lifetime adventure
of road tripping in a sprinter van and then staying

(04:13):
at hotels and seeing me perform. It's probably a small consolation, but.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
It's a once in.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
A lifetime experience for me and a once in a
lifetime experience for them, So I'm hoping it's going to
be fun and worth it. I end I conclude my
tour dates in New York at Radio City Music Hall.
If you would have ever said to me, oh, what
do you think the odds are that you're going to
perform at Radio City Music Hall?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I would have no idea what you're talking about, perform
doing what. I cannot believe that I'm now enough.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Of a dancer that I'll be able to say I
did two shows at Radio City Music Hall.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
It's pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I'm excited about that, and Jensen's really looking forward to it,
So that's going to be so fun.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
You might be.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Wondering what am I planning on doing at all these
different locations during what will be inevitably a very small
amount of time off. But I'm going to be joined
by Andy Richter and Alex Earl in New Jersey, so
I'm going to try to get them to join me
on the on the Sopranos location tour.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I think that might be really fun.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
We can see the bottom being, you know, different, the
pork store, various spots from the opening credits.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Why not do that.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I Am going to then be returning in April for
sugar Land and Irving, Texas. Maybe I'll have time to
catch a rodeo while i'm there. I have no idea.
If they have some great livestock shows in Texas, maybe
I'll do that.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
And then there's Wichita, Kansas. One hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
You will catch me at the Museum of World Treasures
has Egyptian mummies and a t Rex skeleton, So who
has ever passed up the opportunity to see a t
Rex skeleton? And then finally I will conclude those little
runs of shows in April in Denver, Colorado.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I'm going to take a picture in front of the
Big Blue Bear.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
It's a forty foot tall sculpture of a blue bear
that appears to be looking into the Colorado Convention Center.
And I'm really excited about having Alex and Andy with
me in New Jersey. I think that's going to be
super fun. I also, actually, I'm just realizing as I'm
saying this, that I need to send Dylan my dates

(06:30):
as well, because i know Dylan has some dates he's
coming to, but as of right now, none of our
dates overlap, and we're going to try to rectify that.
So we're going to try to have some overlapping days
so that I can be with my bud Dylan as well.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
I'm going to be on a bus with Danny and Pasha.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I have just forced myself into their family and will
be sharing their bus also with Pasha's mom and of
course their darling daughter, Nikita.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
So that's my plan. I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I'm really looking forward to it, and I'm looking forward
to meeting all of you on the road as well.
We have a wonderful conversation to have with a Disney

(07:20):
rep here.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
What to invite you out here? How you doing Jada.
Of course, I'm so good. How're you sitting down?

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Please?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Jada is looking so gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
And her gold sequin ears and your beautiful earrings that
are snowflakes.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Tell me about this this oh, this pin? Yeah, tell
me about this pin you.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
So I am a Disney Ambassador of Disneyland Resort. Myself
and my counterpart Raoul kioto Ojas. We've represented the thirty
six thousand cast members here at the resort for the
past two years. We've acted as their spokesperson, an emissary
of goodwill, which is a fancy way of saying where
the messengers of the joy the magic of Disney into
the community.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
It's been an honor.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
So wow, okay, so that was bestowed upon you two
years ago.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Two years ago?

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Did you have to apply for that position?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
You can say that.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
What was the process of becoming the ambassador? It was
quite an extensive one. It's a pretty high honor to
have the title. So we went through several rounds of interviews.
We spent a week shadowing our predecessors, all just to
kind of prepare us, to make sure that you know,
we were grounded people and that we could represent the
cast well, and it's been so awesome to just speak
on their behalf and share the good news about things

(08:26):
like the Sudney Celebration, now holidays here, it's been.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
It's been awesome.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, the seventieth celebration.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
For part of my time on Dancing with the Stars
or Disney Night, we came out and talked a lot
about the seventieth celebration.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I learned about how many of the rides were here
on opening day and how much things have changed yet.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
And you looked adorable by the way. I saw so much.
You saw that little high dress. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah, it's crazy to me how many things have changed
for the seventy years, and yet how many amazing things
have stayed the same. It's true, most specifically that magic
that Disneyland always provides that has never gone anywhere, and
if anything, with the expansion and now here we are
in California, Adventure Park has just expanded and just grown.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
It's true. It's true. And you said it. You use
the perfect word. Magic.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
That is the center of what we've been doing for
the past seven years. It's part of the story that
we're telling right now. During the holidays, you feel the
magic in everything that you do. Like you walk in,
you see the lights, you see the decora, you watch
the shows like a Christmas Fantasy parade, and you just
feel that sense of magic that we've been creating and
just giving to our guests for the past seven years.
And I think this year, especially the fact that we

(09:35):
get to celebrate the holiday season during the Sevnay celebration,
it really means a lot.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
So totally agree.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
It also is such a nice thing to walk into
the park and what's going on in the outside world just.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Completely shuts off.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
It's true.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
You are just focused on your friends, your family, the
things you're doing when you're inside the park. Like you
mentioned the beautiful lights, it's really incredible. So, I mean,
you guys offer some of the best holiday shows during
the holiday season, and so to prove that I am
good at transitions, we are going to talk about the
twenty twenty five Christmas shows, including Believe in Holiday Magic,

(10:09):
the fireworks, I love it. I love a good fireworks exactly.
The Christmas Fantasy Parade. Yeah, can you talk to me
about the Fantasy Parade?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
I absolutely can. So have you seen a Christmas Fantasy
parade recently?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Not recently? That's okay.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Well, you know.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
We've talked about tradition, the Christmas Fantasy Parade. It's been
around for a while. We're celebrating thirty years of that
parade actually, and it is the most whimsical thing. It
comes down by It's a small world holiday all the
way down Main.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Street, Ussay.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
It's filled with your favorite, you know, traditional people that
you like to see, like Sana. Of course, you might
see Mickey and Minnie. There are some awesome people that
Dan saying. It is that classic tune that everybody loves
to hear as you're coming down Main Street, USA. It's
one of my favorite shows and I'm just so glad
that it's back again this year exactly.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
There's also the Disney Viva Navidad Street Party is.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Happening through January seventh.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
That's right, higher celebration of holidays is happening now through
January seventh, and then it's.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Going a little it's not like the second it's over.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Yeah, no, no, no, we want to make sure we
have the magic as long as we can. So right
now we're recording this in the center of a Disney
Californy Adventure Park, and that show takes place here in
this park over towards Paradise Gardens, and it is a
beautiful celebration of culture. You have Flory Cola, book dancers,
you have Mariyachi. There's so much happening. Even in that area.

(11:26):
You can indulge more in the festivities of Navidad with
food and just from decore. It's amazing and it's definitely
one of my favorites during the holiday season here in
Disney Coloring Adventure, it's all about the festival of holidays,
and so that's one of the offerings that we get
to holling tours.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
That's been going on. How many years have you been you.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Know that, I know off the top of my head.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
I started working here in twenty seventeen and we've been
celebrating definitely since then, and so it's really special that
it's still going great.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
A magical snowfall dripped down every single night during wintertime
enchantment at Beauty's Winter Castle, where eighty thousand shimmering lights
transform the castle into a snowy, sparkling wonder.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
How special is that?

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Now?

Speaker 4 (12:11):
This, Danielle is probably one of my favorite parts about
the holiday season. It's such a it seems simple. I
mean it's not simple. There's many cast members that make
sure that something like this happens. That's so magical. But
it's this beautiful moment when the lights are on the castle.
You said eighty thousand lights on the castle. They all
light up, and then there's snowfall on mainstream USA. Who

(12:31):
would think it'd be snowing in Disneyland, not me, But
we make it happen because that's what happens, you know. Yeah,
holidays are about the magic exactly. So you can see
that happen as it lights up the night, and it's
kind of just one of those indications that the holidays
are here. We're ready to start the season. And for me, somehow,
every time I come at night, I walk in right
at the right time and it's happening, and it's just

(12:52):
like the best way to start your night.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
You grab a hot chocolate, eet a gingerbread, and it's great.
Hearing you say that is making me right now. I
just really want yea hot chocolate. We'll make that happen.
Let's see, we asked I do that we have some
treats here, must be very specific holiday treats.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Can we talk about these.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, so you talked about hot chocolate on this this
tree here to your left, this is the cafe the
Oya cold Brew that is part of the Festival Holiday celebration.
So Festival Holidays is not just yeah, there.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
You go, take put it on my last right.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
There you go. You're nice. There we go. But well,
actually you might like what's in there, I'll tell you.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
But so that the cold brew here, the Cafe that
Oya is part of Festival Holidays. We have marketplaces all
across Disney Califron Adventure Park where you can have different
food items that celebrate different cultures like Navidad, we have Kwanza,
we have Hanukkah. There's different a lot of holidays that
we celebrate with Festival Holidays. That's one of the treats
you can indulge in. And then yeah, take it. It's

(13:52):
so awesome. It's it's delicious. The pun And then in
the bag is we heard one of your favorite things
to get at Disneyland is Mickey shape pretzel, So of
course a classic seven years of magic and the mixed
Mickey shape pretzel is still a favorite. And then over
to the left, oh so sorry, yeah, that is the
sticky toffee macaron So that's also part of one of

(14:12):
our holiday offerings.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
It's amazing. Oh you need the microphone.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
I can't just eat right, and.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
I was on the side of my mouth and I
don't even care. This indulge was incredible.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Isn't it so good?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
And first of my favorite, the drink is really yummy.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
It's like it's got a little bit of like a
little bit of an orchata viz.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, exactly, like some cinnamon. And then this is extremely
sweet and.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
It counts so decadent, right, yes, it counteracts the little
It's pert of the beverage show on that.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
I'm gonna eat some of my favorite pretzel.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I feel really lucky that my office is here at
the resort, so every so often I'll pop out and
grab the caffee the way.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
It's really good. This is good.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Oh, a classic, the mickey, the mickey pretzel dipping it
in the cheddar? Is it like you remember that that
classic taste? Right, that's salt. It's the right amount of salt.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
How they do it.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
I'm gonna go back to that in a second. Tell
me what this one was again. So that's the sticky
toffee macron. That's another holiday offering me sticky. It's so
cute on the inside you have like little caramel bits.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
And the it's so good. Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Alright, well I'm diving in jada for you. Shall we
cheers think about it.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
We should let me see here.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
I've never had one of these, so this feels it
feels like chairs.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
It's delicious, right, Oh my gosh, it's so good, it's
so creamy. That's what the holidays are about, you know,
sharing food together, making memories. That's what you can do
right here at this land resort. All across the resort.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
The amount of detail that goes into every single aspect
of the of what you guys do here.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Who is in charge of picking the decor.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
For these things or deciding what food items make it
into the holiday menu.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
That's a great question.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
So we have thirty six thousand customers at the resource,
so there's many teams who help create these items. There
are people all around who are not only id eight,
but make sure that we are being authentic to especially
when we're speaking to culture things like that. So there's
a lot of different teams that come together. I think
what's special about, like you said, here, at Disneyland, we
really want to make sure the detail is it matters right.

(16:24):
So even the fact that like this balances out, that
you have little that little thing on top, that the
salt is just right, that we have the decor on
the food. It doesn't just taste good, it looks good.
It's really awesome. So I mean, getting to be an
ambassador representing all the customers, I think that's what's special.
I'm glad we get to highlight those folks who do
create the things.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
One of the things I've always loved about being of
one of the family members of Disney over the years
is that everyone I've ever met who has worked at
a park, who's ever been a cast member, everyone talks
about what a wonderful place it is to work. Even
when they're completely off the record, one always says, I've
really I enjoy working here. It's a great place to be.

(17:05):
Do you bring is your family here? Do they live
in California? You get to bring your family to the park.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Do they have a night for just like just members?
So I I grew up in southern California. Yes, So
I feel really lucky that it feels like Disneyland has
been in my backyard. I spent many years, Like when
I was in middle school, I was in show choir,
so I'd come and perform. They invite students to perform
fun and then I you can.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Relate to this.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
You started working for the well or the company at
a young age, and I started working here when I
was eighteen, So it was very It just felt like kismet.
And now that I'm an adult and I get to
bring my family to, you know, experience the magic during
the holiday season year round, it really is.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Just so special.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Like my dad tells me all the time, like he's like,
this is you were made for this, Like this is crazy.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
So I love that we.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Get to, you know, include them in so many of
the festivities. That's what you know, it's it's family.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
We have so many things in common, Jada.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
So I grew up in your Belinda, you did, Oh
my gosh, So you're My grandfather lived in Anaheim and
we could watch the fireworks from his front lawn. So
we used to go over to my grandfather's house, have
dinner as a family, and then go out on the
front lawn and watch the Disneyland fireworks. Oh, we also
got to go many you know, a couple times a year.
It was my parents really wanted. It was before the
days of season passes, so it was always a very

(18:19):
special occasion to get to come to Disneyland. But I
have felt like Disneyland's just a part a Disneyland in
the Disney Company has been a part of my life
since I was a child.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
Yeah, And isn't it cool because for us, like this
is our home park, right, we grew up around this
specific park, Disneyland resort, but this is where it started.
This is the only park in the world where Walt walked.
And so now that we have experiences all across the world,
that's so special, and we got to experience this one,
so like that's the coolest thing.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
It is very special. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
You said that when I first met you, that you
were a fan. I don't know if you have seen
the very famous Boy Meets World episode where we went
to disney World a few here and there, and I did,
I did?

Speaker 3 (18:54):
I did watch it.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Have you been to Disney World?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
I have.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
I've been a couple times.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
This role is so cool because we have a global
ambassador team all across the world, so I've gotten to
go and partner with my counterparts over at Walt Disney World.
We helped open up Tiana's Buy Your Adventure over on
that coast before we brought it here. And yeah, it's
it's awesome. Like it's like I said, it's crazy that
this was the only, you know, thing that I saw
growing up was Disneyland resort. And to see something like that,

(19:21):
to see what it can become, how experiences just can
expand and invite so many more people into it into
the space, is really cool.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
So I now have a goal of going to all
the different Disneyland, yes, or all the different disney resorts.
I want to go to Tokyo. I just might want
to go to Paris. That your first time it was?
It was it was to Paris.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
I haven't yet.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Okay, we'll go.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
We'll love that. You and I.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Okay, we're families.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Perfect.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Okay, all right, let's do that for sure. Oh want
to talk about holiday merch?

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Yes? Oh my gosh, yeah, I'm.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Wearing adorable ears. Yes, you guys, gorgeous gold ears.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
I do you even have the lights too? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Lighting up the sites, which are amazing. I'm gonna have
to hide them before I go home. Otherwise my children
like where have you been?

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Right?

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I would never tell them I came to Disney like
without no, not me. Where is there are there is
there holiday merch in all of the stores on property
or is there specific places to go get the best
holiday March?

Speaker 4 (20:29):
There are definitely many locations across the resort where you
can find great merch, and sometimes is curated to the
specific land that you're in, but for a limited time,
holiday merch is available all throughout the resort now through
January seventh. That includes not just Disneyland Park or Disney
Calforn Adventure Park, but even in the downtown Disney district.
We have many new locations that are opened up over
on those those areas too. So really, anywhere that you

(20:52):
can be in the resort you can find holiday merch.
But you can deck yourselves from head to toe with
all the whimsy and the beautiful colors matches really kind
of the essence that you see when you walk into
the resort. So yeah, I definitely recommend you can just
probably tell your kids you want to the dentist and
they'll believe you.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yeah, exactly, you're right there, Ony six and four. Yeah, Yeah,
So it's still easy to fool. Exactly where can.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
People go to find out more about how they can
visit Disneyland or make their own trip or maybe even
buying merch Where can they go?

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Yeah, so I absolutely recommend you can. First download the
Disneyland apps. You can help plan your day, make sure
you know what there is to come. But aside from that,
definitely check out Disneyland dot com so you can see
all that the holidays have to offer here at the
Disneyan resort. Like we said, the holidays are here right
now through January seventh, so we just can't wait to
see all here.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
I'm absolutely amazed every time I'm here during the holidays
at how different the park feels. You may think, oh, well,
I've been to Disneyland, I don't need to go during that.
If you've never been during the holidays, it really does
completely transform and underfels if you're trying to get into
the spirit. Maybe this year's been a little difficult for
you and you're trying to get into the holiday spirit.
Nothing will kickstart it quite like Disneyland at this time

(22:01):
of year. So I highly recommend you go check it out. Jada,

Speaker 1 (22:12):
You're a perfect representation of what everyone would hope to be.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
