When was the last time your soul got a spa
day and you didn't need an appointment. Well, I'm here
to tell you that everybody needs a reset. Everybody needs
a vacation day. You know, we are around this time
that schools are getting out, that families are going on vacation.
It's getting warm outside, so everybody heads to the beach. Well,
(00:22):
your soul needs rest, and this is the perfect time
to just press pause, get into the presence of the Lord.
Hear God's voice, and see what he has in store
for you. You know, several years back, we were having
this massive conference at our church. I was involved in
every area with with with people coming in from overseas,
(00:47):
with diplomats coming in, with dinners, with everything that you
could think of imagine. I was, you know, included in that.
And I was exhausted. I was burnout. I didn't want
to to anybody. I wanted to go hide. And on
top of all that, I had to speak. And so
I remember coming in one morning and I was just
(01:10):
doing my thing. Somebody like jumped all over me about
something I don't even remember. But I was fried. I
didn't have anything to talk about. I was annoyed that
I even had to get up there, and so I
just got by myself and I said, Lord, I need you.
I need you in the biggest way because it's not
anything that I can say, it's not anything that I
can do, but it's your Holy Spirit in me. And
(01:32):
it's only through your Holy Spirit that you will minister,
and you'll do great You'll do great miracles in the service.
And I got up there, I took the mic. I
have no idea what I said, but it was not me.
It was completely the Holy Spirit, and it was a
great service. It was a great move of God. I
was energized. I didn't feel like I was going to
(01:54):
fall over because I was dead tired, but the Holy
Spirit energized me in a way that only he could do.
You know, That's what worship does. Worship is an amazing thing.
It says in Genesis, it says God created Adam. He
breathed the breath of life into him. When you study
(02:14):
the breath of God, it is this symphonic harmonious sound. Yahweh,
this symphonic harmonious sound. And so in that when God
breathed into Adam, it was like this musical DNA was
put within him. From the very beginning. Well, we are
descendants of Adam and Eve. That means that we are
(02:35):
made in the likeness. We come through that same lineage,
and when we get into the presence of God, something
incredible happens. Several years back, we were having this big
worship conference and one of the leading worship ministers was
here doing, you know, doing a big set, and there
was people coming in. It was packed, and I was
(02:57):
just watching people. I was watching people coming in, and
I was watching people worshiping, I was watching people singing.
I was just people watching, and I said, God, you know,
I know that you and habit the praises of your people.
I know that you love us when we worship. But
why And I'm just watching And all of a sudden,
the Lord speaks to me. He says, because when you worship,

we share the same breath. It's that intimacy with the
Lord that when we open our mouth and worship. You
know what, I encourage you, next time you go into
a worship service, close your eyes and open your mouth
and just think about the words that come out of
your mouth, because there's something that happens when you worship
(03:40):
the Lord. There was a study that came out several
years back about power posing, and it was all of
these specific poses that you do that energizes your body,
but there was one super power pose that when you
hold that over five minutes, that fear subsides, that anxiety leaves,
(04:00):
that worry goes away, that stress declines, all of these
things that goes into your parasympathetic nervous system, and it
brings it to a zero stress state. And guess what
that was. It was a worship position. When we get
into the presence of God and we worship the Lord
and we lay everything down, we can't think about fights,
(04:21):
we can't think about the stress, we can't think about
what happened five minutes before in the car driving to church.
It's just you and God. He goes in and he
heals the innermost places, and he meets you where you are.
Isaiah forty versus thirty one says, but those that hope
in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar
(04:45):
on wings like eagles. They will run and they won't
grow weary. They will walk and they won't faint. You know,
this season, even coming into summer, there's some great things
to put into place, and one is boundaries, put boundary
in place. You know what the greatest words sometimes you
can say is no. I have lots of friends in ministry,
(05:06):
I have friends in all areas. But one thing that
they haven't learned quite yet is to say no. Because
they want to please you, they don't want to let
somebody down. They want to be able to do all
these things, and then all of a sudden they get fried.
You know what, It's okay to say no. It's okay
to know your boundaries. Another thing is is get in
the presence of God. Romans eight twenty eight says, so
(05:27):
we are convinced that every detail of our lives is
continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers
who have been called to fulfill his design purpose. When
you pray, when you seek the Lord, there's no medicine,
there's no counseling, there's no vacation that can do better
(05:48):
than that. And the last thing is is you have
permission just to press the pause button. Just get out
of the hustle, get just unwined and the pre of God,
and just know that He's got your back because everything
is going to be okay. Let's pray, Father, I just
thank you for going into this season. I thank you
(06:10):
that for every season, even through the weather. God, even
going into the summer months. Lord, it's a time of rest.
It's just a time that your body can relax, that
you can do something fun with your family, that you
can unwind. But God, I think you that just as
we can do that in the physical, Lord, that we
do that in this spiritual as well. And so God,
I just ask that you administer to men and women
(06:32):
that can hear my voice. Lord, that even through the
fourth Watch, that you're ministering angels would visit them in
their dreams, that they would visit them in their rooms,
that the healing power of Jesus Christ would be in
their house. In the name of Jesus and God, I
thank you for perfect rest, perfect peace, that you are
shaloam are peace, and that the peace of God that

passes all understanding will be on their hearts and their
minds and Jesus and we pray it
