Speaker 3 (00:24):
All right, welcome back to Quiet Please Kira and Mel
here after a crazy week at the US Open. We
almost showed up in matching merch that we got, but
thankfully it was just me and mel is rocking the
Quiet Please hat. But Hi, Mel, Hi, k Dog, how
are you sure? I am fine? I'm recovering.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I'm good, I'm not recovering. I'm yeah. Last week on
the road though, then I get to go home, which
I'm very excited about. But yeah, just one more week. KPMG.
So I just been to Minnesota's Day. But what a
week that was.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
That was a bit of a week, wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
That That was crazy? Yeah, I'm not home either.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I'm going to be in New York slash Connecticut for
the next week because I'm working Travelers. But it's a
bit of a chill schedule since NBC doesn't have that
show till the weekend. So I'm just going to be
bopping around, but I saw you once from Afar.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I was like, Hi, I know I saw you. I
was like, Hi, Well that's because I is that when
I was got called into the sky the sky cart.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Well, Anna, yeah, told me a kind of funny story
about you.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Having to do an interview at the sky card.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Yeah, so I had an interview. So that like, hey,
so I'm getting called in I'm not on the course
of the corner me and saying you get to do
an interview. I was like, yeah, sure, thinking I don't know,
I don't know what I was thinking, like, I actually
thought it was an interview for me. I don't know,
I don't know. I just was being weird, so I know,
I was still in that play of mentality. And then
I obviously realized he's like because I don't think Ana

(02:05):
can do it, and I was like, oh shit. They
actually been like interview a player. I was like, oh no,
this is going to go horrifically. So yeah, Anna just
swarming off for half an hour do a corporate deal.
So she owns she says, she owes me about Rose,
but I listen. I got very lucky. I had to
interview Justin Rose, who's obviously just so lovely. I got told.

(02:29):
I got told I called him mate, which was a
bit of a no no. But anyway, just I like
a little slap on the wrist every so often.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
So well, set the scene?

Speaker 4 (02:39):
How did you?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
How did you say it?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Okay, So I'm switched to ask three questions and my
producer was obviously trying to help and guide me, but
I was like, no, I am actually okay. I think
I'm I am okay doing this, Like I'm just I
just don't interview, but I can do it, and I'm
more it would be easier for me if I just
thought of the questions anyway, because otherwise I'm going to
stumble sometimes, you know, if I've just not had time

(03:02):
to think. So I was like, just leave me.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
I'm good.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
And they were like, do you know how this the
skycart works that you press stuff? And I'm like, well,
which one shall I press? So I was like, I'm
not doing that. I'm not even going to risk just
saying like how is you building on the four? And
pressing nothing comes up, so I was like, I'll panic.
So I was I'm just not going to do that.
And it was awkward actually during the interview because justin.
I think it was looking at the skycart because Ana, he's.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Used to seeing stuff pop up.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
I've done skycart stuff before and it's not crazy, but
there's always this moment of, oh my god, is it
going to come up when you press the screen?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, it's like you have to do it with your knuckle.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Yeah, I really do want finger. Yeah, just just first
time round. I just needed to. I didn't have a
rehearse or anything, so I just I'm I'm not risking it.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
So my first question was I stumbled a bit, but
I got through it somehow. I basically was talking about
I said, oh, you know, happy to have you here,
justin really solid a couple of days, and I was like, look, mate,
I know that you take really good care of your body.
That's kind of how I said it. I asked him body.
I said, look mate, I know you take really good care.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Of your body and recovery.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
How I was finishing late and then starting only today.
What was that routine like for you? And so I
just got a little bit of slap on the wrist,
which is understandable. You know, you probably shouldn't say mate,
but I also call him mate. So cool.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, because you're not supposed to be mates with them.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Exactly, which I told, so Lesson learned. I'm just learning
on the job as you as you well make Kira.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
So he said it was.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
It was good, a good interview, and Justin is just
so lovely and just great answering questions, not that I
was really paying I was paying a little bit of attention,
but I was more conscious about the next question I
was asking, but kind of paying attention. But I did.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
It's okay, it's three questions.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
So it went.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
It went fine, it went, it went just swimmingly.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Okay, but the rest of the week you were on course, yes,
and then just part of the reason why I didn't
see you because we i I my home base was next
to Anna's slash yours for those two minutes, and yeah,
how was it?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I guess we should say congratulations Window car.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh yeah, well that was your pick. That was your pick.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
No, No it wasn't. My pick was Cameron Young?

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Oh I thought you picked window' clark anyway, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
We'll we'll get more into Window about us.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Yeah, about us?

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Yeah, I did. On course, it was great. It's very
very different. So I was obviously working for Sky. I've
only done on course obviously for Golf Channel NBC and
so it's very different communication. So after day one I
got it, I was like, okay, I can now understand
the communication. It's very very different. But loved it the
whole team. Nick Beamer radar demo was Yeah, Muggsy, I

(05:56):
love Muggsy. I hadn't won too many of them last night. Yeah,
but no, just the whole like Katie everyone, Bree, everyone
was Zoe were awesome. Absolutely loved working for them and
it was just good, just good banter, British banter.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
And but yeah, the en course was great.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
It's so exciting doing a tournament like that on course
because it's just constant and just the shots they hit is.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Just really really cool.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
It's difficult so constantly having to think ahead and how
would you play that? I don't know. It was just
very very cool. So I had a great time and
got lots of steps in.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, I'm sure I love the Sky team.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
They as far as communication goes, it's a completely different style,
but you know, both are both are.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Good and effective.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
But yeah, I definitely had a learning curve when I
did stuff.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Yeah, so yeah, Dad, you had a good, good week. Yeah,
I had a great week, So I had a lot
of fun with them. But yeah, so how was your week?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Well, it was wild.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
It was my first time doing major Championship Network NBC
interviews like that. Like I've worked for NBC obviously in
a lot of different capacities, but never like this. So
I was, I was nervous, I was. It was exciting,
it was crazy, and I got through it.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
I think it went well.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
It's just more nerve wracking at major.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
I mean it's not the Masters, It's the Masters is
the most nerve wracking thing on planet Earth. But yeah,
majors are men's majors are different, like I don't know,
they just they just feel different. You feel every watching Yeah, yeah,
well we got you got through it, got through it,
and it really dusty. It was the compound was discussing.

(07:47):
It was like we were having to wear masks. It
was so bad.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah yeah, I mean we were all on the same
that's like the same compound.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
So bad.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Yeah, that was tough, so dry. I mean even on
the golf course it was dry, and like I could
see like whenever a car came by, all the spectators
were Yeah, it was so dry.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, Well, let's talk a little bit about the tournament itself.
So congratulations Wyndam Clark, now a two time US Open champion,
despite what the fans of New York wanted, walks away
as the winner. So for E mail from an encourse perspective,

(08:28):
did you follow him at all? Did you, you know,
kind of take us through his week and how he
how he did this?

Speaker 4 (08:35):
So he did hit a good the first couple of
days he put us unbelievably well. And when I watched,
I was following him on Friday, and whenever he got
lucky for sure, like a couple of drives that he
was a little bit loose, he got fortunate with the
lie the weekend, his short game was unbelievable. That's kind
of what won it for him. And then obviously the

(08:57):
big lead going to Sunday is never easy. It's never
easy feet a six shot lead in any tournament, let
alone in the US Open. It's it's yours to lose. Really,
So yeah, I mean he's because then I was following
Sam Burns on Sunday, which is really fun. He was
making a charge wow, so fun. I mean his putter
just went ice cold, and in the on the back nine.

(09:20):
But yeah, I mean fair place to the Lad. I
mean he's he's took a lot, he took a lot
of stick last week. I was. I was very surprised
actually on Sunday with the way that the crowds were
with him. I didn't like it. If I'm honest with you,
I think it's bad form. I think Rider Cup, I
totally get that you're going to get heckled and you're

(09:41):
going to get you know, the fans are obviously going
to root against you.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
I totally understand that that's to be expected in a team.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Event, but on your in your country, being an American
in the US Open, and people are screaming getting the bunker,
I don't like it. It's it needs to stop. It's
there something going on here that it needs to stop.
And it's kind of only in this area, so I
don't know what's going on, but a bunch of people
are getting kicked out quite rightly.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
So I also followed Rory yesterday as well.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
In the morning, and the heckling that that Lad takes
is just it's I mean, how they don't react, I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
I mean some of them do.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
But it's it's truly al, it's really bad.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
It's not great.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
And Wyndham's sports psychologist stop by and talk to us
for a little bit and then off camera she was like, yeah,
I mean it's brutal out there. I mean when people
are cheering for you missing putts and when you get
into too the bunker or the rough or and that
wasn't just it didn't start just on the back nine.

(10:44):
It was like every single shot from the word go.
And you're playing with Scottie who's the world number one
and going for the career Grand Slam, and you know,
people really like him and Windham Windham. I think Wyndham
is a good guy. He just has a touch of
the foot and mouth disease.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Yeah, and doesn't help himself at times.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Yet he doesn't help himself at times, and he has
had some unfortunate situations with uh, you know, outburst of
emotion on and off the golf course that have been documented.
So combine those two things in social media and these
stupid bros that want to take a video of themselves

(11:28):
yelling at Wyndham to post for clicks and likes, and
that's a perfect recipe for a bunch of.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Stupid idiots being annoying.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
So I love what Wyndham said at the end, and
he was like, I know you guys didn't love me,
but I love you.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Yeah, I mean what you meant to say.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I know, yeah, yeah, I mean at the end of
the day, he just wanted a jillion dollars and he's
a two time major champion and all these all these
assholes go home to their sad little lives with their
beer bellies.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
When I pointed.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Out that, yeah, yeah, that was good.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I like that, somebody yelled at Rory and he just
he put his arms out to make fun of someone's
beer belly.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Like even I got heckled on the golf course. I
got heckled, did you. Yeah. I quite enjoyed it though
we made it. That's great. Just a bunch of lads
just chatting ship about like Rydy Cup and so and
Cup and just America and the football and stuff. And
they were all wearing the old it was the Brookline
T shirts, you know, the ones with the yeah frames

(12:35):
aren't all over them, just the mostly shirt snow fence,
and so obviously I had a witty response. I just said, well,
I said, I started laughing, and then I said something
along the lines of you guys are very brave wearing
Ryder Cup shirts in New York, American Ridy Cup shirts
in New York. And then they were Then they followed

(12:57):
me for a bit like two holes and just kept
going at me, and I just kept I think, so, yeah,
I quite enjoyed it. It wasn't too offensive to me.
But yes, some of these guys they just I mean
I stared down one guy that was just at roally
for like four holes in a row, and I just
stared him and he was like whoa like this at me?
And I'm like, dude, just shut up, get out, You're
just leave. Why are you watching him? Then, like why

(13:21):
are you trying to.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Get a reaction because he wants to be so dull
in front of his buddies.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
I don't know, hammered as well, like just ridiculous. That's
the problem. They just they can't under their drink and
they just in the sun and just hammered. I mean,
it's it's it was wild.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
And then.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, being on course and window was you know, I
was obviously three or four groups ahead, and I could
tell when he'd hit a bad shot because people were
cheering that's what it was getting to.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
It was so bad.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Didn't like it, Kira, don't know things like that.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
No, no, But otherwise his play was amazing. He had
that massive birdie pie.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Was it on sixteen?

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Yeah, and that I think gave him a little bit
of cushion. He ended up making Bogian's seventeen, right, So
then he had a two shot lead, went down to one.
He goes to the first tea, sorry, the eighteenth t
one shot lead, one hole to play, needs to make car.

(14:21):
He had that two putt for the win and tapped
in and that was that. And I'm really happy for
his caddy, Big Wave Dave. Dave pellicutis legend one of
my favorites out there. He's always a great, great guy
to chat with. But I mean, he's been grinding for
a long time in golf, so it's I think it's
really cool to see when the caddies get to win

(14:43):
a major championship, you know, because a lot of times
their guy moves on or they switch to a different
caddy and they didn't get that moment.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
But so I don't know, I think it's cool when
the caddy gets the moment too.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Yeah, And I also think that he You know, sometimes
you just kind of just guiding the horse in, aren't
you Like It's one of those situations where I'm not
taking anything away from caddies, but sometimes you play it's
just in that state of mind where you don't necessarily
have to do a lot. He had to do a
lot on Sunday. He had to keep him in the
right frame of mind. He had to back him. He
was like every single shot in the highlights, he's like,

(15:14):
great swing, dude.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Like it was them too against the world a little bit.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
So after every time that they prepared for a shot,
Dave would say good process every time. Really yeah, I
mean it was we even on the set we started
saying good process, good process.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
I'm a laundried to you.

Speaker 5 (15:36):
Yeah, I mean yeah, So you've got to give it
to him.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
I mean, he's won two of them now, he's you know,
he's already won earlier this year.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
He's a good player.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
I mean, once he gets his head in the right
frame of mind, he's a he's a great player. And
you know he's still you know, obviously he lost his
mum as well in college and I so I obviously
I have a bit of a soft spot for him
because I know obviously I know how difficult that can be,
and you know, people deal with it diferent ways. And
he said that he struggled with anger and stuff, and
I just totally get it. I mean, he obviously had

(16:06):
like you said, he does have a bit fair m
mouth disease as well, Like it doesn't help himself, but.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
He's done it. At the end of the day, he
did it.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
He was you know what I mean, at the end
of the day, he shut people up with his performance
and you just can't argue with that.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Yeah, against everything, like everything was against him, like he
had the big lead, he lost it or was losing it.
Everyone was rooting against him, and he managed to somehow
just just get it done.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
So you just got a huge amount of respect for
the lad to be honest.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Yeah, I definitely felt really bad for Sam Burns because
he kind of crashed and burned last year at Oakland
with the rain delay. He ends up shooting seventy eight
and like completely shoots him out of shoots himself out

(16:57):
of the tournament because he was like stuck in some
standing water. And yeah, I didn't get a ruling, and
you know, and JJ spond ends up going on to win,
so that us open kind of flipped through his fingers.
And then this one he started the day seven shots back,
and that part on eighteen, I think Keith Mitchell had

(17:19):
it right before him, and so he'd gotten the read
and it just like missed low and just went right by.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
It was I was sure that was going in.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
I mean, he played great. I watched him all day yesterday.
I mean he could have had a ton of birdies
on the bat nine. He had it so good. He
missed a really good opportunity in eleven, and he missed
a good opportunity in fourteen. I had unbelievable. I had
the call of my life, by the way, on seventeen.
So he's live, it's live. Wins off the left pins
bat left, just treacherous green soaks right to left, and

(17:52):
he pulled out a nine nine and I was like,
you know, this is this is obviously not an easy
path three. And I was like, but if he's brave enough,
he can hit this left edge of the green and
the wind will work in his favor. And I said,
but is he brave enough on the seventy first hole,
and he did exactly what I said he was going
to do was ah, Yeah, I love when that happens.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
It very really happens.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Yeah that cold Mel, Yeah, good one Mel. Turn your
mic off now.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Turn off.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Yeah, I mean he missed a short one there and
obviously the Party of eighteen, So yeah, he was emotional afterwards.
Wasn't in his press conference and but yeah, he's he
was so close. He played he played unbelievable. He played
so good, hit it so good. So it was a
bit of a shame, but it was. He put a
good fight in there. Made it interesting. We didn't think
it was going to be very interesting on Sunday. Definitely

(18:43):
made it interesting, amazing for TV.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
We love that.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
We want to.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
What about what about Scottie? He kind of he kind
of just had a meh day.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Yeah, he's just not quite there is he like we're
not He's just not He's not fine in all cylinders
that we normally see Scotti Scheffler, and I think it's
frustrating him a little bit, which is feeding through into
his of course like press conserson and stuff. You just
tell he's frustrated because he has such high expectations and understandably,

(19:20):
but yeah, just striggled really he's just not fine on
all cinatas right now.

Speaker 5 (19:24):
I mean, he's still playing great.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
That's the problem. That's the thing. That's how high our
expectations are for him are just so high that if
he's not winning, I know, we think he's in a slump.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
I know, Yeah, did you interview him?

Speaker 3 (19:38):
We interviewed him, so Mike Rico interviewed him once, and
then I interviewed him once, so Mike, Mike is up
there hosting the show kind of, and then when there
was like a particularly big moment or something like that,
the interview would go to Mike because obviously. And there
was another day when when I did get to talk

(20:00):
to him, and you know, it was routine Scottie, and
he's just trying to get out of there so that
he can go to the range and do this thing.
But just as a side note, Mike Tueriico is the
literal goat.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
He is all time.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
I sat in this tower for four days with him
and watched him do what he does up close, and
it's just it's I've never seen anything like it. It's remarkable.
He barely writes a note. He knows all of these
small details. He must have an encyclopedic or photographic memory.
I mean, yeah, like he there's a weird genius muscle there.

(20:42):
Plus combine that with the voice and the charm, the charisma.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
I know, I think he's ago, like obviously him and
Jim Nuantz. But I mean I've I've I listened to Mike,
like at the Olympics, and he can jump from sport
to sport to sport, and he knows everything about it,
like his mental how he's able to just capture that
in his head.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
And so seamlessly, so seamlessly with meaningful detail. And I
think one of the most impressive things in TV is
coming on the air clean and getting off the air clean. Yeah,
and you're doing that to account. So the producers in
your ear, especially getting off the air. They started twenty

(21:32):
five seconds, twenty five seconds. You've got somebody going twenty five,
twenty four, twenty three, and Mike has just this perfect
poetic rhythm, exact right thing to say to the tune
of the exact twenty five seconds. Not once in four
days did I see him stumble, say, use a filler word,

(21:56):
make a mistake. It was I it was just I
feel inspired to I need to go back and try harder.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Yeah, he's so good.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
We were One of our camera guys goes, Mike, when
is the last time you were nervous? And he kind
of sat there and thought about it for a second,
and he goes, I think at the twenty eighteen Olympics
in Pyeongchang, it was the first time that it wasn't
somebody named Bob Costas bringing us on the air and

(22:26):
everyone like there's a control room and the producers and
everybody was just a little tight and nervous. So that
energy made me nervous. But that's probably the last time
I can think about it, think of that of being
nervous twenty eighteenth. Okay, that was eight years ago.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
You haven't been nervous at all the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Super Bowls, Mad that you've done since then.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
I yeah. I mean he must read so much. He
must read, like read and read and read and just
like highlight stuff and just almost like like an actor,
you know what I mean. I could just kind of
like memorized lines.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Like I'll do our NCAA show the other whenever we
did it two weeks ago. I'll get a random text
from Mike, Hey, so are you on the NCAA A show.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Great job. Why are you watching the NCAA show, Mike?

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah, yeah, obsession. Yeah, it's just it's crazy. Yeah, I've
always thought that about Mike. I've obviously thinking of Jim
Nantz obviously.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yeah, Jim is another, Yeah, perfect example.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
But I've been up close with Mike a couple of times,
and like, I'm just like, like he's done hosting things
where I've been on the panel, and I'm just like,
how the hell do you know that about me? First
of all? And you're right, even I just find so impressive.
Whether he's doing NFL, whether he's doing golf, whether he's
doing the Olympics, whether he's doing swimming, whether he's doing
whatever he's doing, he knows everything about it. And you're right,

(23:48):
he's so rhythmic, he's so smooth, he's so professional, he's
got a great voice, and he just does not stumble,
doesn't say like there's there's nothing, there's no bump in
the road at all.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
So anyway, I think cool.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
I wish I could work next to him four days. Well,
any notes did you take any notes?

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I took a ton of notes, and I just for
me and you are a new inspiration for working harder
and getting better at our craft is to be like
Mike Turico, Be like Michael, be like Mike Cool. Yeah, yeah,
I mean it's just I still I mean been doing
it though as well, and he's been doing it since
he was like a teenager.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah, but still it's just still.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
I feel like I could work my entire life and
never be, never come close to to the way that
he is.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
But this is what the greats to do, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
They may? I mean, it is so difficult and intricate
what he does, and yet he makes it look so
easy that anyone can do it, and nobody can do it.
That's what the great people do. They do it in sport,
they do it when you know musicians, He's doing it
and broadcasts like It's mad? Isn't it how these geniuses
could make something look so easy and so effortless.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
But it's not obviously, I mean, obviously it's not what
we know.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
And not only that, but he took time to ask
me questions about my life and my goals, and he
gave me feedback, and he was thoughtful with his time
and generous, and you know, I'm kind of sitting there
in his space for eight hours a day, and then
I would pop out to do my interviews. But that
was kind of the place for us to all hang
out in between stuff and watch the golf.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
And he could have been like, no, this is my.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Area, like I don't want anybody else in here, and
instead it was a he wrapped his arms around everybody. Sorry,
I don't want to turn this into a whole Mike
Trica podcast.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
He deserves it.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
He deserves it. He deserves it.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
He's unreal, dude, he's He's like I would love to
sit down with him, have a drink and pick his
brain like I would do.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
We should try to get him on the pod. Wonder
if Mike does podcasts.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
I should have asked him, Okay, I.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Will try to. If not, we should invite to dinner
next summer all together. We should just I'm just gonna
go and jump in his space. Mean you should just
hound him. I'm just gonna recall this, okay, Okay, Mike,
just on the.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Record and send it to him.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
Oh so, yeah, it was a fun week, love you, Mike.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Yeah it was. It was a fun week. I wasn't
that pressed with merch. By the way, should we talk
about that.

Speaker 6 (26:31):
You were not impressed. No, oh really, I thought I
got some really cute things. I was not impressed. I
got this jump up because I needed it. I got
one hat, a mug and it's this one.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Okay. I think I went in there a bit late
because I also said, you know Jen from married Jim.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Yeah, two parents sunglasses? So did I Wow?

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Wow, wow, you got yours. I need to take some.
I didn't take any photos any take some phots this
week anyway. Shout out to Jen, thank you very much.
She was talking about she was wearing a really cute
like sweater thing dead nice, like a bit of cash Mary.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
But gone, So I think I don't even see that.
It was so cute.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
It's like white with like a blue trim, and it
was a really subtle US open on it. It was cool.
It's very classy. So I couldn't find that. So I
just think I went too late. To be honest.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
I went on Thursday, and uh, and I got this sweatshirt,
which I saw that it was cute. It was just
like a good basic. I got a big one. And
then this hat that's smart because yeah, because merchandise Mary
told me that this was like a local guy that
makes these out of his garage. Really and yeah yeah,

(27:52):
and I had never seen a design like this or
a really this color scheme. You don't really see a
lot of these these days, I think cool in merch shops.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
So I got that.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
I got a print Shinnacock, you know, like a drawing
a Shinncock clubhouse, which I don't really generally see in
pro shops or whatever merchandise shops. It'll be really cute
for my podcast background. That was that was like a
local artist. And then I got a mug. You know,
I love a golf golf tournament mug, but I'd never

(28:22):
seen one like this. The design was completely different, the
shape is completely different. It wasn't like the ones that
you see at every tournament.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
I got that weird.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Yeah, it was like it's a bit fatter.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's cute.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
So I actually thought, I mean I thought that clothing wise,
you know, it was all kind of generic and a
lot of the same stuff you see. But I felt
I felt like there were some gems.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Okay, maybe I just that were that were a little
more a little unique.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Yeah, I feel that you have to do the right mindset
going to merch as well, don't you totally like I
was told, not in the right mindset. I just could
not be asked. And then I think I just kind
of just did my sons. I just scanned everything and
I went, no, don't I can't go back.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
I got a cute T shirt too.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Oh so you did all right?

Speaker 2 (29:10):
I did great? Yeah, No, I don't know you were doing.
I think I don't know.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Yeah, I just come off the golf course, befair.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
I just walked like twenty one holes and then I.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Got to go, yeah, oh you know who just texted
me back big wave Dave Caddy to Wyndham Clark. Oh nice,
I said, Dave, I'm so happy for you, congrats and
he said thank you.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Kira. Wow, what a week.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Cute yay, cute. So yeah, all no, I think it
was a success, the wind wind, It was just it
was a good week. I thought the USGA did a
great job. Yeah, cool, it's cool golf course.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
What did you think of this setup?

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Because everybody was all worried about the wind, and if
you know what happened in twenty eighteen, there was they
quote lost the golf course, which I don't really think
was the case, but whatever.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
And then they were really good tea. Yeah, and Phil
that's when he put it in pud back.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
They were protecting against that, and then they ended up
really getting that win on Saturday, but not much on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Yeah, no, I think that they I think they've played
it safe.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Look, you got to play.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
USA are renowned, especially a US Open, to push it
to the edge, right, sometimes over the edge, right. We
love that. That's what that's what you expect. A US Open.
Love that for them. However, I think the first two
days they definitely played a little bit safer because the
wind was supposed to be ridiculous on Thursday.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
So sorry, forty forty min wins.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
To get one hundred and fifty six players round, they
have to play a bit safe. I think they did
a really good job. To be honest with you, I
thought they did a great job. I think both that
and the US wims open, I have no complaints. I
would have liked the Greens. Maybe a tad firma just
a tad that's my only complaint.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
Earlier in the week, Yes, just they got them marriage Saturday,
I think, yeah, just.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
A midgy, just a smitty firmer, but these greens are ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (31:04):
But it's cool golf course.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
I actually would really like to play it. It was
a good golf course.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
You know what I was thinking we should manifest is
a Hampton's Girls golf trip.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
Ye.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
All those golf courses Shinnacock, National Sabonic are all right
next to each other. So if anyone out here is
listening that is a member at those places, yeah, well.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
We should do that.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
It'd be so fun.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Well, the problem is, because we were like fifty miles
away south, we never got really to experience the Hampton's,
the Poshampton's, and there was absolutely nothing around our hotel,
so it was a bit of an effort.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
So I was also supposed to be staying an hour
away or wherever it was, and I just decided that I,
I mean, I was just going to be there all
day every day, as you were as well. But I
wasn't prepared.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Meant, yeah, you deal with that.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
So I took my free wheel into my own hands
and I found a place to stay through a friend
that was close to the golf course and rented a room.
So I did have one morning where I was able
to go into Southampton and like bop around the little
town and stuff, which was nice. But other than that,
like I didn't go to a beach, I didn't go

(32:21):
hang out anywhere cool or whatever. I wasn't getting back
until you know, like nine thirty dark. But on the
last night we finished at seven thirty, I got back
to the rental like seven forty five ish, and I
went on a walk and I went down to you
can walk along kind of like Sabonic the Bay National

(32:41):
and I was able to see the windmill at National
Golf Links, which was pretty solo, and then it was
beautiful sunset and I walked back. So that was the
most Hampton anything I got to do. But I haven't
really spent much time in the Hamptons other than you know,
like almost ten years ago. So today I went a

(33:03):
couple of times. And it's really fabulous. I understand the hype, yeah,
other than the traffic.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Traffic is brutal.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
Man, man, it's awful. It's awful.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
So what do you have on tap for us this week?
You ride another major to.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Call, I've got a busy you're working for I'm working
Golf Channel. I'm doing the life from desk up until
Friday and then Saturday I switched to NBC, so I'm
in the booth in the morning, on course in the afternoon,
which actually is great because on Sunday I finish at
three so i can fly.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Oh lovely.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
I love a bit of on course, Yeah, I love
so I've literally got a mixture of every single thing
I do, so live from booth and on course.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
So it's actually I'm really happy to create.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
This is our last week, like my last week is
this week, so it's gonna be really fun, so.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
But yes, we're at Hazelty in this week, which we
came here back in twenty nineteen. I think it was
hang on, I've got my Olige book here whatever, my
old Geolish book. It was twenty nineteen. Yeah, and I
finished the third here. Actually it's like the best I've
ever done major, so I've got fond memories of it.
So we shall see, we shall.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
See, and then you're and then you're like done and bye,
yeah for a while, because.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
Four weeks.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Oh my gosh, how's Carlie feeling?

Speaker 4 (34:33):
She feels great. I don't have done the fuck she's
doing it. I mean, she's Honestly, I take the piss
out of Carly a lot, but she I don't know.
They always say, I know, I'm not man, but you know,
behind every strong man as a strong woman that is Carly.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
I'd like having a toddler on her own.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
I'm very proud of her though, because Carli at times
can be a bit of a homebody. But she's been
very social with any friends. So well done, car She's
been going bopping around the neighbors and then around the neighbors.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
I feel like that could be quite isolating having moved
to a new place. Yeah, not having an established group
of friends, also being pregnant and being stressed about taking
care of a toddler, and your partner is obviously trying
to support your family and help with all that life.
But that means that you're on the road more than Yeah,

(35:25):
I like to.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Be exactly like I get obviously I'm busting my ass,
but I get a break from, you know, that side
of life, whereas she doesn't. Obviously she will want to
get home because I take on a lot of the
load quite rightly so, but for a bit. But yeah,
and I'm just really proud of it because she's I
don't know if you've noticed this, but I'm the social one.
I no, no, I will talk to a brit all.

(35:50):
So I'm usually the one that's like getting you know.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Let's go out. This guy's go out.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
So she's Yeah, the last week or so, she's really
made a effort with people, so well done, and she
has been great.

Speaker 5 (36:01):
Kay's loved it with all the kiddos and stuff. So
and we got one of them.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Oh, we got one. Then Bounce housing. Have you ever
seen them? Bounce housings? You put water down, it's like
a mini bounce house. It's like it's a football thing
and like a little basket's all bouncy, it's got slide.
So we purchased that a few weeks ago and Kyle's
has been obsessed with it. So yeah, he's got the
lads over the lads so get this. So they were
over our naghbors yesterday. Oh my god, I've got to

(36:28):
is such a cute story. And she went there and
our neighbor's super social. I don't know how the fuck
she knows everyone. She's a stay at home mum gin
but she knows everyone, like everybody. And they've only just
moved in the same time we did. So Kylie went
over for dinner. Then they had some friends over Father's
Day and there's a little one of the little girls
there is in Kyle's classic daycare so kind oh hi,

(36:50):
like so nice to meet the parents and stuff, and
they were upstairs and Kyle just went to go and
check on them, and the little girl was walking out
the room and Kyle's behind her with a hand, his
hand on her back, like guiding her out.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
What gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
So they obviously do that school like where they just
snugg it. Yeah, like if you're on your own, you've
got to guide your friend back nobody. Yeah, So he
just had his hand behind her back and they're just
like just talking ship to each other obviously, like I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
I know, but it's so funny when you see small
children doing an adult face.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
It is so so cute.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
It's that is perfectly said, like whenever he does adult things,
it just melts me, like it absolutely meant. Like he
walked out the other day when I was face time,
He's like, what beautiful day, And I was like, oh
my god, it's so cute. You look at this. Oh,
by the way, just quickly off topic, I'm just like, Yeah,

(37:45):
ADHD's kicking perfect.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
This is the best hotel I've stayed in a year.
I'm very happy.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
Really, my life lift. Oh that's so nice.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Isn't that cute?

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Wow? Are they kick pop golf balls?

Speaker 4 (37:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Are you gonna eat them or just look at them?

Speaker 4 (38:03):
Well, I've just had a burger, so I'm feeling appreciate, disgusting.
I can eat one. I'm going to do.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
I do need to know, I'm going I need.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
To my god, what should I have for dinner? I'm
in New York City.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
You've got you've got you pick your poison. A pizza,
you a ramen? You know.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
I think I might order a sushi.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
No, I always order sushi.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
Yeah, you know how I love chopped. I had a
chopped salad and I'm just planning my day around my meals.
This is my one really true day off this week.
So yeah, I think as soon as we go, I'm
gonna get I'm gonna get some sushi.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
You're gonna get it, You're gonna get delivered.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Yeah. I'm having a night and tonight I'm gonna watch
the foot put my feet up.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Have a cake.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Oh yeah, how's your world? Put my feet up, I
have a cake.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Pop. Has your World Cup viewing experience been.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
Yeah, I mean it's just brilliant. This is football on constantly.
It's fantastic. I watched Argentine on the plane over here.
MESSI obviously England are playing tomorrow, okay dog.

Speaker 5 (39:15):
At four pm?

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Who are they playing?

Speaker 5 (39:17):
Ghana?

Speaker 6 (39:18):
Olie Brett's Olie's going to the game. Yeah, New York
somewhere Boston.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Three tickets for him, his brother and his dad, which
is very cute them PJ tour caddies.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Now just yeah, make it rain, you know, Olie?

Speaker 5 (39:35):
Yeah, cheers mate. I don't know, I'm going to think.
I thought about it today.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
I was like, if when we get through the group stages,
if there's an opportunity for me to buy a ticket,
do I buy a couple of tickets? And then I thought, well,
probably not, because Karlie's going to give birth. I don't
think that would go down very well. And two they're
so expensive. But yes, I'm loving the experience. I've already
found a pub to watch it in tomorrow. I've already
told Anna she's coming with me, and she wants to
off because it's having across the street looks great, So

(40:04):
that's perfect four or off are at three. I'm going
to run down here. I'm not even gonna show. I'm
just gon go dirty and just go put a T
shirt on off straight.

Speaker 6 (40:11):
There.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
You have makeup done, so you'll you'll look great.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
I'll look great. My lash is on perfect.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Some of my favorite content over the last few weeks
has been watching foreign tourists discover things about America, particularly
ranch dressing, which I am obsessed with and is a
huge part of my personality. So to see the rest
of the world really understand that part of me is big.

(40:39):
I also love people that are like going to Texas
and discovering Texas barbecue and ice and air conditioning.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
You know, we're not all bad here in America.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
So I saw one of them, and it was a
bloke and his girlfriend and he was like, well, we
got out the hotel, they're in Texas. I think that
we're in Texas And they said, no one walks here.
They're like, they wanted to go to the shop, which
was like a mile away, and they said, why doesn't
anyone walk here? So they walk So they said they
walked and came back and they said, never doing that again,
like the heat. We don't have heat like that in

(41:14):
the UK, like the sun. He says, I'm burnt to
a Chris. He's like, no wonder, they don't walk. It
is miserable, No wonder, nobody walks like.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
A lovely walk. You're know, it's on the side of
a motor cars.

Speaker 5 (41:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
So he was like, wasn't like through the fields, you know,
over a country bridge and then you're you know, you're
at the shops in the village. It's literally Yeah, so
that's very interesting.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
There's this Norwegian kid that's here with his family and.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Like he's taste testing you know, BUCkies, sandwich and ordering
in and out and they're they're just his parents are
just having him taste test every you know, American du
like to see in this little Norwegian child.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
It's like, you know, in and out, in and out, dude,
that's offensive.

Speaker 5 (42:07):
No, it's fine. We can't offend anyone here.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
Know, it's wild. Whenever my family come over, especially my
nephews and stuff, all they want to do is go
with the in and out Chick fil A, Raisin Canes.
Jack really wants to go to Raisin Canes, BUCkies and
Walmart and Target.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
There's people that are fascinated by Walmart, yeah, or Targets.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
And NATed, like you can buy a bike in their
barbecue pants and vegetables. It's mad a great makeup, great maker.
You buy anything an if you buy anything in Walmart,
especially if you go to a super Walmart, which we have.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
Yeah, you don't have to go anywhere else.

Speaker 4 (42:44):
Garden, canoes, canoes, vegetables, yeah, anything anything, So they would
they fascinated.

Speaker 5 (42:55):
I think I was.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
I've obviously become used to it now, but I was
quite fascinated with it. I was fascinated with how big
you're trucks are as well, like you lories.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Well, we have bigger roads because our stuff was not
built a thousand years ago.

Speaker 4 (43:07):
Yeah I know, well, yes, correct, but your lorries are ginormous?

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Are lorries?

Speaker 5 (43:14):
Lauries?

Speaker 4 (43:15):
Lauries used to be a game, wasn't that red red
Laurie yellow lorry? As fast as you can.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
We say red bug, yellow bug or we or you
know when you see bug.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
Okay. Yeah, So they're enjoying it, and I think they're
drinking every single bar out of beer, which is just.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Boston. The Scottish Boston content is fantastic. The duck content.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
The Mexicans have a duck, the Scottish have a duck.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Yeah, that's really made me happy. You know when stuff
like that is on TV. This is the same thing
happens around the Olympics. It just makes people happy.

Speaker 4 (43:56):
Yeah, I know, because everyone's just so happy because they're
just the When do you forget to go to people?

Speaker 5 (44:02):
Love brings Sport is the best thing in the world.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
It brings everybody together from every doesn't matter what culture
you are, what religion you are, what sexuality are, what
country like. It just brings people together. It's the best
thing ever, best thing.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
Ever, unless you're out cheering for certain sports. It seems
in New York and.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
They need to just I mean, it's that mutual hatred
bonds the fans. Dude, It's as soon as across the river,
something weird happens and everyone's just got a lot. It's
a lot on the thing. I'm like, just wash the
golf and just be normal, just enjoy, just be normal.

Speaker 5 (44:43):
It's not difficult.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
Okay, it's not difficult, clearly it is. Anyway. I didn't
see many goal shoes actually at the golf, which I
was quite surprised that.

Speaker 5 (44:56):
Not many at all.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
PJ PG chance the one because it's all the PJ,
isn't it? And they love wearing shoes.

Speaker 3 (45:03):
Yeah, I didn't see any bad footwear for female fans
with my own eyes, but I was told that there
were some some sightings. But I feel like less than usual.
So I would like to think that our messaging is
breaking through the masses and people are understanding more and

(45:23):
more that you're not meant to wear open toss shoes
or high heels to a golf tournament. So I feel like,
you know, we're making a difference in this world.

Speaker 5 (45:31):
Making it our impact is going to last.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Yeah, it's it's a legacy that I'm super proud of
and will last long beyond our time with the microphone
in our hands. So quite quite proud of us. Do
you have a shish of the week now?

Speaker 4 (45:47):
I have too?

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Oh, please share one's very quick.

Speaker 5 (45:51):
Hotel Bars. I don't know why.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
Again again the hotel bars.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
Shuts at ten, so don't be doing that.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
It was your last week.

Speaker 4 (45:59):
I'm just meacious again because I was getting back at
quarter ten and I just want a little beer before
bed and they were shutting, so hotel bars. Just stay
up until eleven, that'd be great.

Speaker 6 (46:09):
Shus.

Speaker 4 (46:09):
The week number two, the laundry in the hotel didn't
work when I was doing my washings didn't take my card,
so I then had to go across the street, which
is the connecting hotel, to go and do it. So
this was on Saturday night, so I got back at
half pack court half past nine, quarter to ten.

Speaker 5 (46:26):
We had a late one. All right, better do the
nickers because I'm going to Shreddies for tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
So I needed some new shreddies big time.

Speaker 6 (46:38):
What shreddies shreddies is a nickers? Is it a specific
type of knicker? No, just shred is just redies shreddies
hair of NDErs. Wow, you have so many names for
thank you for one thing. I've never heard that.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
Okay, So anyway, I went and did put it on,
and as I've got back to my room, which is
you know, it's a three four minute walk, which doesn't
sound like it's just an effort, I realized that my
two tablets were on the side, so I forgot to
put soap in, so then I had to wash it
again and then dry it. So I basically got done

(47:16):
it half twelve in the morning.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
So that's what the laundry that wasn't working.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
It was It was me, you idiot, because the that
you presented it was that the laundry machine was well.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
The laundry pissed me off because the laundry she should
work with my car, I've got six cards and one
of them should work, and it didn't. So I was
already pissed off. And then and then I realized, and
then you can't open the door. Sorry about down, you
can't open the doors.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
I sit.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
I'm gonna have to wait till that's done and then
do it again. But I had extra clean shreddies for
the next few days, extra clean, excellent.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Yeah, they did the regular rints and then they did
the soap rints. Oh yeah, so oh yeah perfect.

Speaker 5 (47:53):
Great.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
So now you have clean knickers for the KPMG.

Speaker 5 (47:56):
I got green shirt, yeah, clean shreds.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Clean fads.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Okay, I have three.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
But I'll go through the box site.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
One is the compound dust, which we already mentioned that
was pretty discussing. Two is all of the keyboard warriors
on Twitter that I felt. I just looked a couple
of times just to see what the mood was around
the championship and the broadcast and setup and whatever, and
it's like every little thing people just take issue with

(48:30):
and have to put out something mean and nobody can
say like, wow.

Speaker 4 (48:34):
This is great.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
We get to watch major.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
Championship golf at Shinnacock and a beautiful place. Like I
don't know, I just felt like people can be so negative,
and maybe I'm defensive about it right now because like
I was a part of the team and I just
get so I just I just want.

Speaker 4 (48:51):
To take when they take when they say something about
broadcast and stuff, I take offense to it.

Speaker 3 (48:55):
Yeah, not even just that, just like the tournament itself.
It's just I don't know, people are people are working
so hard to make this thing happen, and for somebody,
to somebody in Ohio to sit around and crap all
over it, just like I don't know, it just makes
my blood boil. So on behalf of the thousands of
men and women that work really really hard to put
on the US Open so that we can have a

(49:17):
nice thing.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
Just like chill.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Please yeah try that. And then my third one is
Love Island, USA.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Oh I've actually I was reading about this on the plane,
So please carrot crack on. I want to see what
you think about this.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
Okay, Well, first of all, the show this season sucks,
and the UK version, the UK version is always going
to be elite, elite, elite, so there's not there's not
much competition there. But the past two seasons of Love
Island USA has actually been pretty entertaining, and this one
is just so there's no juice. They don't they're all
saying they're open and they're exploring.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
They're not. They are weird and like.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
Do horrible things and say horrible things, and they're also
really sexual in a way that's kind of like it's
so forward, so soon, and it doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
It's just it's like an uncomfortable.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Level of intimacy so early on in the show, and
it's like it doesn't mean anything. So you know, maybe
out on Love Island used to mean something. Okay, making
breakfast for somebody used to mean something. Now we're just
doing it to do it, and I personally take offense.

Speaker 4 (50:31):
Wow, so I've never seen you that's passionate. We just
stoke up the USO for forty minutes and that is
the most passion you've shown in this podcast. So it's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
There's no plot. It's just made me out.

Speaker 4 (50:46):
To say CV, go and send you CV right now.
If I CV for what, go call Mike, Mike and go.
Mike helped me out. I need to be the host
of Love Island USA well, because that is my doing.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
She does a great job, although I should be the
hose exactly for me. Ariana, Arianna, babe, you've done.

Speaker 4 (51:06):
Great time to be in the in the universe, Kara, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
But on the vision I would love to just be
a producer. And I don't know, just fuck yeah. It's
just so like they had cost some more. If any
of this is spoilers, so if you're listening and you
haven't watched this, you can turn it off now. But
and I know you're not gonna watch that, it doesn't
matter they have You know what cost some.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
More is Isn't that what they have sex? Isn't that
the place where they have suck? No? I don't, okay,
same thing no.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
More is when they split up the girls and boys,
like the originally different boys bring they bring in.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
I mean, I guess theoretically they.

Speaker 3 (51:51):
Could very different, but they bring in this other group
of of people and there's on every other cause the
more you've ever seen, it's like they just come in
and they say hello, and they introduce themselves and it's
like then they go on from there and then maybe
there's a challenge that forces them to make out or something.
In this instance, they're all dressed as if they're going

(52:15):
to do the heart rate challenge, which is like a
sexual dance on them, and then they're like dressed in
nurse outfits and fireman outfits and construction outfits, and it's
just like right off the bat they did they didn't
even say hello, my name is. It's just straight into
that with a stranger, and like the it's just raunchy.
So anyway, it was just I was like, I can't
be watching, Like I feel uncomfortable watching this.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
I'm like fast forwarding through all of the care we
get to the conversations.

Speaker 4 (52:43):
Oh kirah. Well so anyway, anyway, it hasn't been going great.
Am I still gonna watch it?

Speaker 2 (52:51):
Yes, but.

Speaker 4 (52:53):
It's it's not as good as I was reading about
it apparently the USA, But we've been doing it for
years to be fair to us, and so.

Speaker 3 (52:59):
I love to every single episode of a while and
UK ever produced, so I know, okay, but I started
UK with Andrew the Seasons of UK with Andrew, so
I can't catch up on that one, which is really
sad for me. Yeah, so I've been filling that void
with the Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
If anyone, it.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Was actually Bitches Love Sama, Bitches love a Samma. I
need a cracker, Hey, Billy, get me a cracker.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Let's go to pizza Mama. It's fantastic.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
That was good.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
I love that they are their next level.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
They're in Real Houseves the Salt Lake City anyway, any
the high brow things that I used to take up
my time when I'm go do something, trying to do
my best Mike Trico impression.

Speaker 5 (53:46):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (53:48):

Signature event, big, really really good field. Wyndham Clark is

(54:08):
still listed in the field. I don't know if he's
going to withdraw or not, but we shall see anything else.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
Well, nothing to report, Okay, nothing, Saul.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
I'm going to go track down my New York City sushi.
