Speaker 1 (00:00):
Quiet Please, with Mel Reed and Kira Dixon is an
iheartwomen's sports production in partnership with Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment.
You can find us on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Welcome back to Quiet Please. You're here. No Mel today,
she's you know, off taking care of her nie baby.
Last week, if you.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Listened, we were saying, oh, maybe by next week she'll
be a mom of two, and that is exactly what
has happened. So Mel is very deservedly taking the week
off to welcome banks Brian Reid. He was born on
July twenty eighth at eight twenty nine pm, seven pounds
three ounces, twenty point five inches long. I'm glad that
(00:56):
she gave us all of his stats, and by all accounts,
baby is doing amazing, and Carly is thriving as obviously
only Carly can, and everybody's really happy.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Kai has been super cute.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
He's been bringing you know, the essentials like the toy
school bus and things of that nature to the new baby.
So it seems like everybody is settling in nicely. But
we're so happy for Mel. We wish Mel, Carly and
the whole read clan the best, and I can't wait
to meet baby Banks. I think Banks is such a
good name for an English person, or just like an
(01:33):
English baby Banks.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Banksy comme at Banks. I know it's good, so I
fully approve. Anyway, So Hi, it's just me today and
I'm going to work through.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
I've got nine storylines in honor of you know, nine
holes in golf.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I am so creative.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Before I get into the nine storylines, you're all just
chopping at the bit.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I had an interesting week.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
It was kind of my first time with my belly
out and about in an office setting, and then also
just really not trying to hide it on TV. Last
time I was on TV, I was still kind of
on the DL. This time I was wearing tight dresses,
maternity dresses, all the things. So we are out and
about with that thing. I think the hardest part of
(02:24):
traveling with a watermelon strap, to you is the physical
part of that. The hotel looked at me kind of
weird when I asked for four extra pillows. And when
you don't have access to the exact right food that
doesn't make your stomach react in violent ways, it could
be tough, butther than that, it was fun to get
(02:48):
We did eight shows, so it was fun to get
those reps in and constantly be immersed in golfland, and
I got to wear some like cute, really prego friendly
chic things. So I left it all right without further ado.
Here are our top nine storylines for you, because you
(03:09):
can't go through life without knowing everything that's happening in
the golf world.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Thanks quiet, please, Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
So, she Ho Kwake wins in a playoff over Esther
hence Light at the AIG Women's Open.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
This is the last major championship of the year.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
She Ho Kuwak if you're not familiar with that name,
I wasn't before last week is a Japanese player. She's
stud on the Japanese LPGA. She's won twice this year.
She leads their order of merit or whatever, and it
was probably on her way to an LPGA card anyway.
So the whole week, everybody thought that it was going
(03:46):
to be hey, rhen you to win because she started.
She came out super hot the first two days, and
it would have been three major championships in a row
for her to win in three consecutive starts. She already
won the women's KPMG PGA earlier this year, and then
in her very next start she followed that up with
the EBVY on the Windy Evyon Championship, So it was like,
(04:10):
you know, unheard of. Nellie's won two majors, hey Ron
used one two majors this year, and hey Ron was
very much on her way to potentially getting a third
and kind of having the tiebreaker with Nelly.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Nelly didn't have her best stuff this week.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
She she was kind of there the whole time, but
just didn't get over the hump that you would need
to to actually get to a place to win. She
played really well, she just had these moments of kind
of falling victim to Link's golf. If you don't know
what Links Golf is, It's it's like seaside golf. It's
very natural kind of The course was super baked out
(04:46):
because of the weather.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Lots of pop.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Bunkers, lots of keeping the ball on the ground and putting.
It's a really fun style of golf. I was talking
to my mom and my mom was like, why is
the course brown?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Like where are they playing in a desert in a
plane somewhere?
Speaker 3 (05:05):
And I could see how she would think that if
you are not familiar with Plank's golf. But the thing
with playing golf overseas is they don't overwater their courses.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
They don't put a ton.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Of pesticides in their grass like, they don't manicure the
way that a lot of American courses do.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
They just kind of leave it up to nature.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
And I'm sure many of you know that the UK
has had a very hot summer, so this course was
super baked out.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Super brown, and only the greens were kind of green.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
There was no green fairway really to speak of, So
if you saw any of the overhead shots, it was
like brown, brown, brown, little circle of green, which is
hard to play golf.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
On because you could get a good you can make a.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Good shot, and then it just kind of trickles away
because it's it's hard to hold greens, it's hard to
hold fairways, and it goes into one of these one
hundred and sixty nasty pop bunkers, which nobody wants to
be in. Hey, Ron, you ended up kind of falling
victim to that, and like having to put in a
bunker to be able to get out and just follow aparts,
(06:11):
not the right word, but didn't have her best stuff
on the weekend and ends up like four shots back
or something like that and not winning the golf tournament.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
But Sheiho was the last woman standing. She I.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Something I love about her is she wears super bright
crazy clothing. Her nails are like all different colors, like
longer curlic nails. Her eyelashes are a fashion statement. If
you would like to become a fan officially of she
Hook Wakee, you can subscribe to her fan club and
(06:53):
get merch sent to you. And the merch is like
a flag with her name on it and a wig,
like a curly wig. So I really am considering that
maybe this should be my baby gift for new banks
read it can be the youngest member of Shego Kawake's
fan club.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I'm sure Mel would love that. But I love that
she's leaning into the merch.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
And there were lots of Shei Hoo fans at Royal
Litham and sant Ann's, which was the host of the
Age It Women's Open, following around and cheering for her.
So she finishes at five under and then she sits
on this leather couch and she's watching everything play out
and it was kind of weird because usually if you
think that you're going to be in a playoff, you
would like go and warm up and at least putt
(07:37):
or something. And she's just sitting on this couch watching
the final groups come through to see if there's going
to be a playoff, and sure enough, Esther, hence Light
from Germany, makes a forty footer fifty footer on the
last to make birdie and force a playoff. So she
has been sitting on this couch for thirty minutes. Esther
just comes off this crazy moment. They go to the
(07:58):
first playoff hole. Shejo ends up getting up and down
and saving par making after kind of a squirrely drive
and saves herself. There. Esther two putts and isn't able
to convert for Bertie, so they go back to the
tea and at this point Esther then kind of loses
it a bit and she hits her drive into the
(08:19):
gorse unfortunate and she's not able to save par.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
She makes bogey.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
She Hoquaki wins for the first time on the LPGA Tour,
wins her major, and the rest is history. I want
to read you guys, a quote from her this is
I love this about this person because we don't get
to hear from them like this. She says, I'm probably
one of the more out there players, and that's what
(08:46):
makes me confident on the course. And in terms of
her celebration, she goes, I love to drink alcohol and
have fun, and I intend to drink a lot tonight.
Kawaki said through a translator, whiskey sodas, she revealed, would
be the well deserved drink of choice.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I'm sure that that would be very mal approved. We
appreciate her willingness to share that with us. So I
also got to read that on air, which I very
much enjoyed. So congratulations to Shiho. We will see you
on the LPGA tour. Drinks in hand.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I am very short, so that was our first storyline. Wow,
that was a really long one.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Two you let me know, so U lem me know.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Started the day with two shot lead at the AIG
Women's Open. She has not shot around under par on
the LPGA prior to this week. Since April, she's coming
off three miss cuts. It has been a tough slog
for you, Lemio.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
She's American. She was born in San Francisco, which we love, and.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
She just kept missing huts and made some unforced airrs
and completely fell out of the out of the lead
on Sunday, and at one point it was like, Okay,
this is her golf tournament t win and it wasn't
to be. She kind of gave a really emotional interview
after to car Banks and uh, I feel for her,
(10:24):
but she could, you know, have this turned into car tissue,
or she could have it turned into an amazing opportunity
to build on and positive momentum, which hopefully she does.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
She's really great, so.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Good to see a young player actually finally break through
and have that one round that can potentially turn things around.
She's two three is heyron you I mentioned her before,
we were already saying like, okay, she's definitely going to
be We had crowned her. She had like a five
shot lead on Saturday, and then the putts just stopped
(11:03):
dropping and she kept getting into those crazy bunkers, which
was really unfortunate. The I think it's been like thirteen
years since somebody won three majors in a row. That
was Inby Park, and there's only been two other people
other than Inby in the entire history of the LPGA,
so we probably won't get to see this type of
(11:24):
storyline again for another ten to fifteen years. But she's like,
she's got the best ball striking stats of anybody on
the LPGA or the PGA Tour. And Mel will always
say that Brandal is like obsessed with her aim and
doesn't understand why she hasn't won more, which, yeah, she
has the numbers, she has all the stats for it,
(11:44):
and just doesn't all click necessarily.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Girlfriend's probably tired. She's probably tired from all this winning
that she's been doing.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
And just like after two days there, she was like, nah,
I'm this is We're good.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
So good on you. Hey run. They still have a
lot of left of the season.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
They don't end until like November the CME Tour Championship,
so perhaps she she can continue to have this great
game on display. But super congrats to her. I'm sure
that the pressure has been an insane thing. And yeah,
amazing stuff from Hayron. Okay, back to the European Soulive
(12:27):
Cup team. So that is officially set. This was the
last event before those decisions were made, and I'm going
to read you the names, so obviously we're going to
need to have Mel back for this discussion because she's
vice captain and she can give us a ton more insight.
But this is what the European Soulheim Cup roster looks
like officially now, Selene Boutier, Carlata.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Segonda, Lynn Grant Esther hence light and this Esther is
interesting because she likely would have made the team anyway
based on her LED ranking, but because of the points
I think the world rank points that she earned through
the AG Women's Open losing in a playoff, she knocked
(13:08):
out some of the other automatic qualifiers and it kind
of shuffled up some stuff. So she would have always
made it, but.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
It changed things for uh some other players, which is
which is interesting. Charlie Hall, she don't worry, she's my
next story line. Uh. Nana Kurs mattson Julia Lopez Ramirez.
It's probably Julia, but I'm gonna say Julia, Leona McGuire,
(13:36):
Neastasia and Nadaud, Mimi Rhodes. Nastasia Mimi Rhodes and Julia
Lopez Ramirez are all rookies. Maya Stark and Lottie Wode
uh so kind of a just stacked squad. The American
(14:00):
team is not official yet, so just focusing in on this.
I mean, there's You've got your Slein Bauta, Carlota Segondo,
Lind Grant.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
They're all veteran Charlie Hull veteran veteran, veteran ester.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Hens Light played for the first time last time, and
Leoni o'guire has an amazing Soulhem Cup record. Mimi Rhodes,
if you remember, is Per Mel the most posh person possible.
I said that I was going to pretend to do
accents today, but I'm kind of nervous to do so.
I just mostly don't want to hear it from Mel,
so I'm not going to do it, but meet me.
Rhoads is so posh starling and I think grew up
(14:38):
in Spain or something like that. So they are going
to be competing in the Netherlands later this year in September.
Mel will be there as the vice captain, mostly wrangling
Charlie Hall and yeah, I'm excited to see them play.
I think they're going to be super super electric, very
much on fire. Okay, Charlie Hall. So our girl had
(15:03):
an interesting week. I kind of want to change the
Instagram bio for quiet please to say, if you don't
like it, you can lump it dash. Charlie Hall, so
she was kind of in the news for not her golf,
but she played a trick on her caddie. So she
(15:25):
played a joke on him, Adam Woodward, and bought him
a fake one hundred thousand pound winning scratch card and
she the quote was he's literally running around the player's
lounge saying I've won one hundred thousand pounds.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
I'm taking today off.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
And genuinely believed it, and then she revealed to him
that it was a joke, and she shared this with
the media, thinking that this is going to be this
is so funny.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Lah lah lah. Apparently a lot of.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
People took issue with this that she's this very wealthy
player and she's playing a joke on someone that does
not make as much money as her thought. I'm sure
Adam has made plenty of money caddying for Charlie Hole.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
And she kind of got a lot of a backlash
for this. So she was asked if she would if
she would do this again, and she said she had
no regrets, said yeah, I would one hundred percent do
it again. He thought it was funny after he's not uptight,
like it's a joke. If people don't like it, they
(16:29):
can lump it, do you know what I mean? I mean,
like I felt bad for Radsie, but at the end
of the day, I just got to have a good
week and at the end of the week, I'll buy
him one hundred scratch cards. So you have to watch
the video. It's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
And she also she also said some good stuff about
like if the worst thing in my life is me
getting shit on by people in the media or whatever
that don't understand my humor, then I don't really care.
And I believe that quote was just grow some balls.
So you can always depend on Charlie Hole to say
exactly what she thinks. And I love that we because
(17:07):
she said it, we were able to share all this
stuff on Gulf Central, So nothing like sharing those types
of quotes. She Hookwaki's alcohol quotes on cable television.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
We love to see it.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So thank you Charlie for providing us with that wonderful information. Okay,
Number five, Michael thorbe Jornsen wins the Rocket Classic. So
the Rocket Classic on the PGA Tour was played last
(17:41):
week in Detroit, Michigan. This is potentially the last playing
of the Rocket Classic. Well it definitely is for this sponsor,
so the sponsor is not renewing, so unclear what's going
to happen to this.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Detroit Tour event.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
There's also a lot of you might have heard in
the news that the PGA Tour is ing things when
it comes to the way that their schedule is going
to look in twenty twenty eight, and they're basically creating
a two tier system that's a Championship Series and a
Challenger Series. This PGA Tour event would likely be a
Challenger Series event in Detroit if it continues, but they
(18:15):
would have to find a new sponsor.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
La la la. But anyway.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Michael Thorpe burns and is twenty four years old. He
is from Massachusetts. He's a Stanford baller is where he
played college golf, played a lot of great amateur golf.
Has been on the PGA Tour for the last three years.
He was one of the first players that really benefited
from the PGA Tour U program, which is the program
that allowed that allows top college players to get status
(18:40):
on the PGA Tour right away instead of having to
kind of go through the rigamarole of trying to earn
status and the Cornferry Tour, et cetera.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
He won by two over Xanderschoffle. The day started with
Davis Riley had a one shot lead, so it was
Davis Riley, Michael Brennan and Rasmus Hoygard.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
We're at the top of the leader board. But Michael
Thorburnson shot a bogie free sixty three. I can believe
I'm remembering all this information. This is what this is
a good part about having hosted the show for Golf
Channel the week before is that I've got all everything memorized.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
He shot a bogie free sixty three at Detroit Golf Club.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
And ends up putting by two and beat out the
likes of Sander Shaffley and a bunch of other big names.
So congratulations to Michael thorpe Burnsen. He's now going to
be in the Masters. He uh gets himself like well
into the FedEx Cup playoffs. He was kind of on
the bubble before and now he's on the bubble.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
For the Tour Championship.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Was the top which is the top thirty in the
FedEx Cup standings, top seventy and the FedEx Cup standings
make it to the first event of the playoffs, So
great week for Michael Thorburnson. Congratulations lovingly referred to as Thour,
which is much easier to say than Michael Thorburnsen. Bjorn
sin constantly, so we're just going to go with Thor.
(20:05):
But nice kid, young kid, and he's going to.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Be a star, Darling. It's going to be a sta
so fun times on the PGA Tour. I'm number six.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
I mentioned that it's FedEx Cup playoffs time, so this
week it's the Windham Championship in North Carolina and everybody
there is jocking for position to try and make it
into the top seventy in the FedEx Cup standings. The
FedEx Cup standings are the PGA Tour's ranking system for
how you do throughout the year, and interesting this year
because this is the first time that only the top
(20:35):
seventy make it to the playoffs. In the past, it's
been the top one hundred or the top one twenty five.
So the top one hundred or top one twenty five
still retain status on the PGA Tour, but the top
seventy are the only players that actually make it to
the playoffs, and the playoffs can lead to a lot
more money, a lot more opportunity, and then obviously extending
(20:57):
your status on tour. You could be number seventy and
make it to the FedEx Cup playoffs and then end
up winning the Tour Championship, at least the way that
it's formatted now, because if you do well and continue
to earn points to then make it to the top fifty,
which is the following week the BMW Championship, that's the
second event, the FedEx Cup playoffs, and then you do
(21:18):
well enough to make it into the top thirty and
that's the Tour Championship. The thirty players only make it
to the Tour Championship in Atlanta at East Lake, and
then if you have if you're number thirty and you
win that golf tournament, you walk away with like a
bajillion dollars and you win the Tour.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Championship for the season. So anything could happen.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
So much on the line, but players are going to
be trying to get in there right on the bubble.
I think the bubble boy right now is Jackson Coyven.
He's this young twenty one year old he just won
the three m Open a couple weeks ago and only
his third PGA Tour start as a professional.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
So he's number seventy.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
If he plays horribly this week, it's very likely he'll
fall out the top seventy and somebody else that plays
well that's like number seventy five or something like that
could jump him. So that's an interesting wrinkle of this event.
It's not just like your regular PGA Tour event.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
It's the last regular season PGA Tour event before we
go into the playoffs, and.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
If you don't make it, then you're off for a while.
You got three weeks off, four weeks off, and then
they'll start having some fall events. Usually I would work
some of these fall events, and I love the fall
events because they're a little more relaxed.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
They go to some fun places. But because of Bebe, I.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Will not be doing that this year, which is fine.
I'll be working on taking all of this wallpaper down instead,
which I'm quite sad about.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
But for another time, some news in the live golf world.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
So let me just pull this up. I have this
is number eight or number eight storyline for you today. Okay,
So Monday, q Info posted this on Twitter According to
multiple people I spoke with, including players, Live golfers could
still be owed in excess of two hundred and fifty
(23:08):
million dollars combined from contracts they signed. The biggest portion
of the lump sum is John Rahm, who allegedly is
still owed as much as one hundred and fifty million dollars.
Seems like a foregone conclusion that Live will file for bankruptcy,
so almost no chance Ram and the others owed will
get all of the money owed. Also could be converted
into equity if they find investors for Live two point
(23:29):
zero and the players decide to stay and then this
tweet from flushing It Golf. Players with original large contracts
were paid fifty percent or more upfront, with the outstanding
balance paid as quarterly salaries over the duration of their contract.
It's understood that John Rahm's contract was backloaded, likely due
to the nature of the ongoing Framework agreement discussions at
(23:49):
the time.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
That's the Framework agreement discussions between Live Golf and the
PGA Tour.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
As previously reported, John Ram will likely be the largest
creditor in any bankruptcy filing by Live Golf. Players are
being offered equity in Life Live two point zero depending
on the value of their outstanding contract and the stature
of a player. There is an all player meeting today,
so when you listen to this, it will have been
yesterday at Trump National Bedminster, where players will be expecting
clarity for the future.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
So a little bit of background on this.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
The Live Golf League has been supported financially by the
Saudi Public Investment Fund for the last five years or
whatever it is. They have withdrawn their investment citing restructuring
in their investment strategy. So that has kind of left
Live which has been burning cash at an unprecedented level
(24:38):
from staging events to the amount that they're playing to
acquire paying to acquire players.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
So that has.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Left Live Golf executives to kind of scramble to find
a new investor. And there's reports that there's private equity
that wants to come in at two hundred and fifty
million dollars that they're still going to be playing these events.
They've canceled some stuff, and everything is very much up
in the air, and it would be a completely different
look for Live Golf moving forward with a new investor
(25:11):
no matter what happens, because nobody is going to be
willing to spend the money that the Saudi.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Public Investment Fund was spending.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
They were spending that money not just to have a
golf league, but for purposes that far outweigh sports. It
was to buy their way into the golf world and
to the credibility that that gives you into the the
social capital of legitimization, and things that would diversify their existing.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Streams of income, not to mention potential sports watching.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
So all of that is now kind of set aside,
and John Rahm decided to leave the PGA Tour because
he was paid hundreds of millions or he signed a
deal for hundreds of millions of dollars which he is
still owed at least half of per this reporting. So well,
we shall see it. We love some petty trauma in
(26:08):
this space. But it's so interesting because people are saying
like they're going to cancel the tour Championship, They're going
to do all this, and then Live CEOs sends an
email to everybody that of course leaks on Twitter that
says we are preparing for the tour Championship. So who knows,
but they've always been super positive about everything. But then
it kind of all falls apart anyway, I mean, this
(26:33):
is it'll be interesting. So we thought that maybe this
was all going to fall apart over the last week,
and I was like ready to talk about it on
the air on Golf Channel, and that didn't end up materializing.
So perhaps it happens this week. But you know, not
rooting for anything to fall apart or not. Whatever it is,
(26:56):
what it is, but it's just interesting to see all
this change like rapid pace a minute by minute and
every every day it's like they're falling apart. Actually they're
gonna have two hundred and fifty million dollars. Actually they're
filing for bankruptcy. So TBD watch this space if you're
following the lifgolf drama.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
And then my.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Last storyline for you, number nine is not related to
anything at all with this. But I am hosting something
with Titleist on August twelfth at TPI and Carlsbadge. So
if you would like to sign up for this my
I have the link for it in my bio. Basically,
(27:43):
you would show up, get a tour of the whole facility.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
That you're doing club fittings.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
I'm going to be co hosting it with Iona Stephen,
who you might know and love from Sky Sports. She's
got the best Scottish brogue that you've ever heard, and
it's just going to be a girly golf day. We
will play the short course at TPI, So if you're
interested in getting fitted for some new clubs, or you've
never had a fitting before, or you're gonna have a
(28:11):
TPI body assessment. They also do a full body assessment
of like how well you're turning, and what your hips
are doing, and where you can improve physically to help
improve your golf swing, where you can build strength, which
is really cool. And then we'll have like Rose. I
won't have Rose, but you know there will be Rose
(28:32):
and Shugtary.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
And some fun golf.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
So if you want to sign up for that and
you're interested in joining us in Carlsbad in San Diego
August twelfth.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
That's next week. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Okay, well yeah, you've got a week so you can
sign up. I think you still have some spaces available.
I would love love live laugh, love to see you
guys there. Okay, so those were our top nine. I
hope that that was beneficial for your lives and you
got something out of it. I know that our producers,
(29:10):
Grace and kermb certainly did.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
They love that. My shush of the week.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I've been thinking about this is when golf brands, particularly
shoe companies, release special shoes around big events like the
Ryder Cup or Majors. They generally only produce shoes that
fit men, which is always insane to me. They don't
do women's sizing, And every time a shoe gets released,
(29:43):
I really want to buy it, and I set an
alarm and am ready to go, and they only have
a men's size eight is the smallest shoe, and I
wear a women's six and a half seven.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
So that's not going to work.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
So I just want to tell all the shoe companies
out there that if you will build, it will come.
The girlies are looking to spend money, real money on
these shoes, and the fact that that's not accounted for
and the balance sheet really pisses me off. So my
shosh is show all these shoe companies that are sidelining
(30:17):
female spending in the shoe space. Stop it, stop it
right now. It's not cute and we don't like it.
So that's our show, guys, Thank you so much. I
hope you've enjoyed this Top nine storylines.
