A hoarse Mel returns to real life after vice-captaining the winning Solheim Cup team, and Kira shares the DM (and voice memo) reactions she received celebrating the victory. They do a deep-dive recap on everything from pairings strategy to green speeds to gala outfits to the beers on the bus and set the record straight on all the buzzy social media stories. Also, they discuss how the team dealt with online criticism during the tournament, Jennifer Kupcho’s crazy putting, and what is it with Europeans and Sweet Caroline?

Speaker 1 (00:00):

Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Okay. Hello, Mel. How you doing? Doing great, Kira.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
My voice is coming back. It was a lot worse
a couple of days ago.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yesterday was a.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Long day, as you can expect. It's a long travel
day for me, but I made my flight and now
I'm back in parent mode, so absolutely thriving.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
All right. Well, welcome back to Quiet, Please. Welcome back
to Real Life, Mel Reid. After a Vice-captaining the winning
European team at the Solheim Cup. Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
What a week.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I mean, I'm sure you haven't even really processed it
because your liver is still drying out. But how are
you even doing? I don't know. What's the crack?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
The crack is, I'm not just saying this. I think
that's my favorite Solheim so far. I know we're going
to get into it, but just the whole team, like
kind of, I don't know, the calmness of the week
from a confidence standpoint. I think Anna did an incredible job.
Like I really do. Like she's not, you know, one
of many words and she doesn't particularly enjoy standing up

(01:46):
and saying things, but she didn't really need to. I
felt like she was just awesome. And the whole team
just kind of got it. The caddies were awesome. Yeah.
It's a weird thing though.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Like, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
But even the venue and everything, like the crowds, it
was awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
But then you just, you come on this massive come down. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It's like, Oh, back to real life. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Like literally we're all texting each other today. Like this sucks.
It sucks leaving everyone. So, um, no, it was, it
was amazing. And, and I'm just really, really happy for
Anna that we got it done and, and the players,
they deserve it. And they just absolutely smashed it. And,
It was, it's just, it's just so much fun being
the Americans. I can't even tell you. It's just so

(02:31):
fun for me.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Like, honestly, like, I was talking to Nelly about it afterwards. Like, obviously,
you kind of go up and at the end of
the day, like, you are like, it's obviously, you know,
you want to beat each other. But at the end
of the day, you are still, you know, really good mates.
And at the end of the day, golf wins. And, yeah,
Nelly was just like, God, I hate it. When you're
on that team, I just, I just, hate it when you.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Because she knows how much you're thriving and how.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Just thriving and just like encouraging everyone to thrive as
well so of course um but yeah no it was
it was great and and I'm just so I'm so
happy we got it done.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I got some funny dms about you um let's see
Alison Whitaker who is a commentator who you know very
well she uh messaged me and said Mel Reed will
not be available for pod or broadcast work for the
next three days after what I've seen tonight. Please refer
to the manual or call sheet for suitable replacements. And

(03:37):
Carly Telford, praying for her liver these next few days.
She barely had a voice when I seen her Thursday.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Oh, so funny.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
And wait, hold on one more, one more. this is
just your people know you you know oh i know
jess corda uh because i i posted that photo of
you like the biggest smile ever and she goes legit
a smile that's up to zero good she's about to
get so effed up blackout melman incoming oh so good

(04:12):
so good So on that note, Grace, our producer, is
going to roll in some really unique audio that we
were able to collect from Mel in the immediate aftermath
of the win that we'd love to have you react
to now that you've had a little bit of hindsight, Mel. Grace,

(04:35):
roll the tapes.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Holy fucking shit, my voice is gone. I'm unable to
do the podcast tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I've not even got to the party. But we fucking won.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
We celebrate on Sunday. They celebrate on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
We celebrate on Sunday. They celebrate on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Kira, I'm a mother. Like, what is wrong with me?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
You're a mother, but you're also... Just a happy person.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Oh, God. I literally turned into a child.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I did say that on.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
My speech, like my Saturday night speech for the singles.
I was like, I literally, I know I turned into
a child and I know I'm going to energize a
bunny with everyone.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I said, but like, that's how much I love this shit.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Like I was not meant to be a golfer. I
was meant to be a team player. Like I really was. So, well, anyway,
that was awesome. I was shouting so loud in that
voice note as well. So I'm glad we captured that.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I know, because our original plan was like, oh, maybe
you can join on Sunday, blah, blah, which in hindsight
was never going to happen. Okay, so this is the
other thing.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I forget that once you win, you have to like,
you then have to do like closing ceremony, like, you know,
you have to, which takes ages, by the way. And
then it's photos with everyone. And then you have to
go and do a press conference. Then you have to
have more photos. And so we didn't get back until
like quarter to nine.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
You know what I mean? Then you have to do
the party.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Then I had to open up the party for everyone.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
But I was like, all right, we just need some
sort of audio evidence of what's happening here.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
So that was perfect.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay. So, I mean, I sent you my list. I
don't know where you want to start, but we have
so much to dive into when it comes to actually
breaking down Solheim. Um, so I don't know if you've
got thoughts or where you want to take it, or
I can, I can start to.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
You go, you ask me questions. Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I'm going to say.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
My voice as much as I can.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
When, when did you actually lose your voice and why?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Um, I probably lost, started losing it. It was probably Thursday.
And then I completely lost it on Saturday because Carlotta
in the afternoon started draining a couple of putts. And
I just lost it. The putt on six, it did
me in. And I just couldn't speak for like four hours.

(07:19):
The reason I lost it, Kira, is because, well, a
few reasons.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
One, we were laughing.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Me and Caddy's were talking about this. When the players
go to bed, like Carlotta would stay up and maybe
Lynn and a couple other players. So we just weren't
doing anything stupid. We were just sitting around telling stories.
And honestly like the laughters and stuff that first of
all that started to do me that started to crack
it and then on the team bus we just start
singing and i just literally try and sing so loud

(07:46):
just to get everyone going and just my voice just
it just couldn't take it anymore and just completely broke
so that's really what it was um and then yeah
like i said colotta did me in on saturday afternoon
friday afternoon didn't help either when she made that into
stupid up and down um to half her match in
the four ball with her and Julia. So that didn't
help either. But yeah, it was just, I've not actually

(08:09):
lost my voice before it's on. So that's quite an
achievement for me.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah. I mean, that's how you know you really were
having a good time. Yeah, exactly. But honestly, it was weird.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
We were having such a laugh like in the evenings.
Like it was, it was honestly the laughing. I literally
didn't stop laughing. And I even like at the course,
like before the players were playing, we were just having
such a laugh. Like I just, the carries are funny, dude.
Like they're funny. And then we just couldn't stop laughing.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
OK, well, there are lots of interesting moments per usual
that surround Charlie Hull. And this is something that you
chimed in on. This is kind of early week. One
of the big storylines. She was late to a practice
round tea time. And I guess people were making up
a bunch of narratives around that. And you were in
the press conference and you're the one you're the audio

(08:51):
clip that was then pulled for social. So take us
through that situation.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
OK, so Charlie got in on Monday. Um, so this
is the Tuesday practice. This is the first day she's
at the golf course. Now Charlie got in at like
eight o'clock, quickly came to the team room, said hi
to everyone, went to bed. Um, her caddy did not, um,
do that. So Adam, it was his first night. We
all went to bed early as well. Um, we, we

(09:15):
were just exhausted. I think that kind of, we'd had
a couple of drinks on Sunday. Um, and then I
was just, I was, I was going to bed early.
So kind of all the caddies kind of went to
bed early on, um, on Monday. So Adam somehow found
a little bit of mischief on his own.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
He happened to miss the.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Bus in the morning.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Yeah. And I called him.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I know I called him. He never does that. And
I called him and I said, Adam, are you good?
And he's like, ah, I think I fucked up. I'm like,
don't worry. We'll get you a car. Just don't, don't stress.
You've got loads of time. He actually got there like
10 minutes after the bus because we had a bunch
of traffic and he went a different way with the car.
actually worked out fine. So we were on the range

(09:57):
and my one job all week is to get Charlie
Hill to certain things on time. And I could not
get her off the range. And Adam was being so
nonchalant about it because I think he was just like,
I feel like I can't really tell what to do
today because I missed the bus. So I'm just gonna
let Charlie do it. And I just could not get,
I was like, Charlie, like she was on the phone,

(10:18):
like she was texting people. Like she was chatting shit
to me and I'm like, Charlie, this is great, but
like I do have to get you on the tee.
And so it was technically my fault. And so when
she actually did tee off, which was two minutes after
the other girls, someone shouted something to Adam and Adam
and Charlie shouted back like, oh, I'm late because my

(10:38):
caddy's hung over. Now people misquoted that and thought she
said me and my caddy are hung over. And so
a big story was written about it, which obviously, Charlie
was upset about because Charlie doesn't care if you write
stories about it if it's true even if she's naughty
but what she can't stand is bullshit and rumours it

(10:59):
really bothers her as it should do and as it
would do anyone and so you know I had a
word with the skipper and you know the other vice
captains and I said look if this comes up we
need to shut it down so instead of tweeting about
it or something like that why don't we just talk
about it in the press conference that we're going to
do in an hour so whenever the opportunity came about
It was my responsibility to shut it down. So that's

(11:21):
what I did. But that's the reason is honestly because
I could not get off the tee and Adam was
not very helpful because he was in the naughty.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
He was indisposed.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Yeah, he was a bit naughty. And so he felt
like he couldn't tell Charlie. So it was up to
me and Charlie was just being Charlie, just fannying around.
But I got to the tee every other day. I
put an air tag in a pocket.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Did you really put an air tag in a pocket?

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I almost did.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
She thought I did at one point. I mean, you
might as well.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I might as well have done, yeah. Honestly, like during
the rain delay, so we had a rain delay one day.
It was just before whatever, the photos or something. And
she wanted to get a physio, but the physio couldn't
come into the team room, but there was a little
wellness center outside our team room. And the LET staff,
like Polly and Vicky, were like, listen, she can't. like

(12:15):
she cannot leave this building. Like she can't just go
to the wellness center. So I'm there trying to, I'm like,
oh my God, where's Charlie gone? And they're like, oh,
she's gone to the wellness center. I'm like, oh my God,
she can't leave the building. So then I've grabbed her
and I'm like, Charlie, you can't leave. I'm like, just
wait there. I'm going to see if I can get
your physio in here. So I go back in, I've
come back out within three seconds. I'm not joking, two minutes,
she's gone again. And I'm like, where has anyone seen

(12:37):
Charlie in the life?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
I think she went outside. And I'm like, Charlie, listen,
you cannot, listen to me, you cannot open this door
and go outside. She's like, why? I'm like, no, you
just can't. Like it's under the tournament conditions. So it's
just shit like that. But yeah, she was quality and
as usual, just absolutely hilarious. But she finally, she finally,
but I just got her in the tea on time basically.

(12:59):
And she stopped going outside so she couldn't get electrocuted
by the lightning, which was great.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Speaking of the weather, it seemed like it was kind
of crappy weather the whole time.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Yeah, it was actually a lot better than it was
supposed to be. It was predicted to be rain the
whole time. We definitely had a torrential rain and then
obviously on Sunday was pretty miserable there for a while.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
But listen, that golf course is cool.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Like really cool.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
It used to be a.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Cornfield and the guy, I can't remember his name, but
the guy who designed it and kind of owns it,
It's a really, really cool place. Massive, cool property. Gorgeous clubhouse.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Good wine. Great wine.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Facilities are amazing. Yeah, my friends, they tasted a few
of the wine. What do you call it? What do
you say?

Speaker 2 (14:02):
They had a taster?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Yeah, but what is it?

Speaker 2 (14:05):
They sampled. Sampled?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, they sampled a lot of the wine. they said
it was great. So, but the whole place was great
and it dried out. It was great for fans as
well because it wasn't too big and it wasn't too small.
So it wasn't like super condensed but it was condensed
enough that it seemed there was a shit ton of
people and there was a shit ton but it was awesome. Yeah,
cool spot but the weather was a lot better than
expected so no complaints really.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
And the logistics worked with like the bikes and the
bus situation because that was the big thing about the
Solheim was that people were being very, you know, the
netherlands about this with the whole bike situation.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah it was cool there was like something like five
six thousand bikes that went every single day um my
friend yeah and like my mates got the trains the
trains are so easy over there um so transportation was
much improved from robert trent jones so honestly my bloody

(15:03):
computer just loves me um So yeah, no, it was
much improved. So it was good. Everyone got there on time,
which was great. It was good. Everything was good. And
the town was really cool. Not that we got to
experience it, but my friends, the Kellys, and my sister
and stuff that went said it was super cute. The Kellys.

(15:25):
They just love us online. They just thrive. They just thrive.
So yeah, it was cool.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Tell me about your matching outfits for the gala. These
are the things that I really care about. And then
I guess we can get into the golf. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Well that I didn't get to choose that, but it
was actually very good.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
It was, uh, Oh, actually it was quite cool. Okay.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Much improved on the gala this year. Normally it's like
a proper banquet. You sit down, just pain in my ass.
Like I can't stand the gala dinner. I know we
have to do it, but it's such a pain in
my ass. I can, no one really wants to go,
but we kind of have to. Well, this year it
was more casual. Um, They didn't let the Americans know that.
I don't know why, because they all dressed up.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
I mean, they looked stunning. They were in gowns, yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah, yeah. I mean, they looked amazing, don't get me wrong.
But we went from all casual to like a wide leg,
navy suit, pant.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
It looked great. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
It was very clean and we all wore the same shoes.
And it was in a theater. Oh, my God. So
it was in this really cool theater. So we kind
of sat down and they had like a panel. It
was Helen Alverson and Beanie. on our side, Katrina Matthew,
and then it was Julie Inkster and Judy Rankin. Oh
my God, Helen Elverson and Julie Inkster might as well

(16:34):
have just, no one else needed to be there. Like
they would, you can imagine, like they would just, like,
I don't know, it was really funny. They were just
chatting shit about old Solheims and basically just telling stories
and it was cool. And then they got us up
and we played a little game and like a little
three question quiz, which we won, obviously, which they got

(16:55):
really pissed at. The Americans got more pissed at that,
I think. They were like squabbling apparently. So that was great.
Gordie got their skin on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Perfect. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
So it was cool.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Cool. Okay. Um, speaking of Charlie, Charlie and Lottie was
kind of like the big, uh, you know, yeah. Marquee pairing.
And they kind of struggled through a lot of the Solheim.
And then obviously on the last day they, they were
able to bring it, but yeah. Um, Tell us more,
as much as you can. And then I'll preface everything

(17:30):
we're going to talk about with, obviously, you can only
say so much or whatever, but you'll tell us as
much as you can. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yeah, I mean, listen, it was kind of an obvious
choice for us. They wanted to play together. They're our
top two players, ranking-wise. And so we thought, and we
knew it was going to be a good pairing. So
you guys sent the first day, they come up. Now,
bear in mind, it was freezing cold. Folsom's is difficult already.
Charlie had kind of had a little bit of a,

(17:59):
she had something going on with her back and I
don't think it made it easier how cold it was
and with foursomes like alternate shot it's just hard to
get in rhythm so they were also up against Nelly
Korda and Alison Corpuz who have never lost a foursomes
to this point so they came up against a really
strong pairing and then in the afternoon I mean you
let me know she played stupid golf in the afternoon

(18:22):
so again they came up against somebody who just played
absolutely ridiculous They really should have won that match. They
were three up at one point, ended up halving that match.
And then Saturday morning came up against Alison Lee. I mean,
I've got to give kudos to Alison Lee. I mean,
she was four and over the week. You know, she

(18:43):
was pregnant at the last Solheim. So the fact that
she even made this team and the way she performed
was just a joke. Her and Lauren Cochran played the
best four sims I've ever seen. They were seven under
through 11 holes.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Yeah. So Charlie and Lottie.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Were three under. And then in the afternoon, they just
again came up against an absolute firehouse. So it was funny, actually.
So I saw this stat on Saturday evening. And it
was out of 24 players who's made the most birdies
over the first two days. It's obviously four balls because
foursomes doesn't count. And Charlie was Lottie, I think, or

(19:17):
Charlie was third and Lottie was fourth. at 24 players
and they'd come away with half a point which they
were both they were both livid with like they were
not happy that they'd come away with half a point
but that just goes to show like that was literally
as strong as pairing and they just came against absolute
just insane levels insane like no one would have beat
them like you would have had to have like not

(19:39):
made you know like you would have had to play
stupid I've never seen anything like it um and I
actually told Charlie that on the Sunday morning she was
prepping for her singles and I told her that stat
and she was like I knew I was playing well.
I said, yeah, you've literally just come against like brick walls.
And I'm like, you hold one more putt today and
you're winning your match. And so I think that gave
her like, oh shit, I knew I was playing well,

(20:00):
but now I have a stat to prove it. And
same with Lottie. I text Lottie before she got to
the course because she got a later car on the
Sunday and than the team bus because she was obviously
playing later in the singles and I said the exact
same thing to her and she was like oh my
god I actually saw this last night it made me
feel a lot better I'm like yeah like it's literally
just because you've come against like just randomly come against

(20:23):
like the most ridiculous matches like the hardest matches in
each session so yeah and then what do they go
and do go and win their singles so I think
that it was just one of them things it's just golf.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Unfortunately Bethann Nichols, who writes for Golf Week, kind of
gave them a little bit of stick or gave, I guess,
Anna a little bit of stick on Twitter about continuing
to put them out as a pairing. How much does
that filter down into the team or how aware are
they of some of those observations? And she wasn't the

(20:57):
only one. There was a lot of conversation around like,
why are you still continuing to put them out when
they're not putting together the points and you know when
you sit when you lay it out that way it
totally makes sense why but how how aware are they
of kind of the outside discourse of what people are
saying not really.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
I mean we kind of make a point to not
do not look at that stuff at the end of
the day um we try and keep the noise as
quiet as possible uh we don't particularly like players to
look at social media and stuff i mean we can't
help them they're adults but you know, a lot of,
there's a lot more things that go into a pairing
than just, people are just looking at, why are you

(21:35):
still playing them? I'm like, there was a lot of,
there was a lot of thought that went into that,
first of all. I actually sent the stats to Anna
because Anna was like, you know, on Saturday night, should
we have, and I'm like, no. Like, that was technically
the best pairing that we had. That was the strongest pairing, like,
from a golf standpoint. It just, just happened to be
what it is. And then you've got to look at

(21:56):
personalities as well. Like, they wanted to play with each other.
Like both of them, that was their number one pick
to play with each other. And then we kept saying
to them, like, do you want to play this afternoon?
You know, you can rest. Like, no, no, no, we
want to get this point. We want to get this point.
And so we're not going to take them away from that.
And that's how much trust we had in them. And
we kind of said for the players from the beginning, like,

(22:17):
as long as you give us 100%, you know, it
really doesn't matter if you lose. Like, to us, obviously,
the goal is to win. But like, if you give
us 100%, that is all we can ask for. And
that is something that we kept trying to ingrain. And
it's very lucky to look on the outside in and go, well,
you know, I was with them the whole time. The
only session I wasn't with them was Saturday afternoon. I

(22:38):
saw how well they were playing. And I said to Anna,
you cannot not take these girls out. They're playing too good. Like,
Lottie was playing amazing. She just wasn't holding her putt.
Charlie was playing amazing and literally was just not holding, like,
a couple of putts that she should have hold. And
that was pretty much it. I'm like, these two are playing,
I think, incredible golf. Like you can't not have them
in the sessions. Like America are too strong to not

(22:58):
have our two best players. And so that was the
thought behind it.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah. I mean, it seemed like nobody was going to
beat those pairings.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
No, like literally Lynn and Maya, the only players that
have ever beat Nellie and Lauren Cochran. Like they were
5-0 before that. Lauren Cochran is just an absolute firehouse
in Solheim. Like her record is a joke in Solheim.
So Lottie and Charlie played them. You know, Alice and Lee,
like I said, there was seven under through 11. Scotty
and Roy wouldn't have beat them. So yeah, the only

(23:31):
session I think they should have won was Friday afternoon.
They kind of let that slip out of their fingers
a little bit. But again, you let me know, just
started to rake in some putts and there you have it.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Okay. Speaking of raking in putts, Jennifer Kupcho on Saturday, she,
You have to remind me. It was Carlotta and....

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Julia Lopez-Ramirez.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yes. And Jennifer Kupcho.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Lindy Duncan.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Lindy Duncan. Okay. So on, I guess, 17, Jen Kupcho
is like 90 feet from the hole. There's this crazy putt.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
And go ahead.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
So 17, she blocked. Well, first of all, it starts
in the tee shot. She hits us way right. Carlotta
and Julia hit it down the fairway.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
And Carlotta and Julia at this point are one up. Correct.
Oh no, it was Celine. Sorry, it was Carlotta and Celine. Oh,
Celine Boutier. Apologies.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
So it was Saturday afternoon. Yeah, at this point, they're
one up. She blocks it way right. Anyway, she hits
it to the back edge of the green, right? I
didn't even know she actually hit the green from there.
I was like, that is, bloody hell, that's a really
incredible shot. She hit it to the green. Carlotta then goes, well,
Celine goes, hits it to about five foot. Carlotta goes,
hits it to six foot. And then Lindy dug in

(24:48):
at 25 feet. Jennifer Kupcho-Lish, she's walked up there. I
shit you not care. I didn't even read the putt.
I just went up and just putted it. And it
goes in, right?

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Typical.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
So they all go nuts at the back of the green.
I mean, this is typical match play. Carlotta misses a putt.
Celine misses a putt, right? So they're going down the last. Carlotta,
you know, she's really the only one in play. Celine
hit it in the water left. So, Jennifer Kupcho hits
it to about 25 feet and Claude hits it to
30 feet. Claude just misses her putt. And Jen Kupcho,

(25:22):
it was 30 feet actually, Jen Kupcho drains it.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Right?

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Fucking went nuts. Like, complete nuts. Which they deserve. Like,
121 feet of putts in two holes is just an absolute,
absolute joke. Um, I mean, that was just a huge,
a huge point for them. Because we would have gone
into the singles two-point lead, which is huge. Um, So yes,
then that was that. The girls were obviously... They were okay.

(25:50):
They were obviously a bit bummed. And then we get
on the bus and Anna had to do some press
and she was like, look, can you just have a
word with everyone on the bus? And I said, yeah, sure.
So I said some stuff on the bus, which I
thought was necessary just to kind of get their heads
lifted a little bit. And then we kind of had...

(26:13):
You know, music was playing, but no one was really,
you know. And then Sweet Caroline came on and I
kind of started singing it. And so did like the caddies.
So we started singing. Everyone started getting up for it then.
And I can tell when like, I just could tell
the mood shifted because even Leona was like this. And
I thought, right, she.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Never does this. She never does this.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
She's usually like this, like very serious. So when we
got to that, the American bus was behind us and
we could see through. And I could see them all
just sat there. They weren't talking to each other. Well,
they might have been, but they weren't up. We were
standing up and dancing on the bus. And as the
doors opened, I knew they could hear us. I went,
close the doors. We're going to sing this again. And
we started singing it again. And it completely shifted. It

(26:57):
completely shifted the mood. We came out of that bus
as if we had won that match and the Americans hadn't.
They came out quite just quiet, normal. And we were
all fired up. And it was, it was a huge moment.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
What is it with, I think it's the Europeans just
love Sweet Caroline. It's so funny to me. It's a
rugby thing. Yeah. It's like when Andrew and I went
to Oktoberfest a couple of years ago, all the Germans
freaked out about Sweet Caroline and, and Country Roads. I
was like, why are people in here so obsessed with

(27:30):
these songs?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
We're so obsessed. It's like every single sporting event you
play it. I know it's mad, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
We love it too. It's our music, but like, You
guys just take it to a.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Completely different level.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
No, I know.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
And then, obviously, we saw on social media the whole
beers on the bus, which I do think may have
got misinterpreted. The beers on the bus go round and round.
I mean, it seemed to us like... Explain the situation. Okay,
so Angela Stanford gets on the bus with a bunch
of beers and it said, having beers for Jen.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Right?

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Because she held them two puts and everyone was like,
in the bus. It was like they'd won the bloody thing.
And so you can't give a team that kind of motivation,
especially the caliber of team that Europe or America is like,
we would never do that. Like, don't post it. Like,
just leave it. Just have it as a special moment. Like,
no one posted about us singing on the bus because
it was a special moment between us. So people filming it,

(28:28):
but no, everyone knew not to post it. Like everyone knew,
I don't know, it's a special place like and it's
a it's a bond of trust and so when we
saw that we were like hmm that's interesting and so
it just gave us extra motivation and then you know
I obviously said to Anna like obviously when we win
tomorrow we're gonna have to sing a song about they

(28:50):
drink on they celebrate on Saturdays we celebrate on Sundays
like it's we've just got to say it um.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
And yeah, I mean, it just... It's so petty. It
was silly, really.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
It's so petty, but it's just stupid.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Like, why do that to us? It pisses us off.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah. You can't piss us off. That was a big...
I kept on seeing on social as well as the
number one rule is don't give the opposing team, especially
the Europeans, bulletin board material. And I'm sure that they
did not mean for that to go out and that
it was just... It was great content. So whoever... There

(29:28):
was just not ever thought that would turn into what
it turned into. And yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Number one rule. Like we even said, I like, we
even said at the start of the week, like number
one rule, don't purposely piss them off. Like don't do
stupid shit and don't get involved. Don't like, you know,
get wrapped up in this shit because we don't need
to give them motivation. They're too good. Like just stick
to our business, stick to our team. That is our focus.

(29:53):
And like that is the message that we had throughout
the week. So yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Okay. So going in.
Going into Sunday singles it's tied 8-8 what is the

(30:18):
strategy that Anna had or you guys talked through about
how you were going to do your lineup that day.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
I mean it's interesting we obviously had to go out
quite heavy it was Charlie, Esther, Lynn, Mimi Rhodes. All right.
They were our top, they were our four, but we
kind of had our six who we thought were playing
the best. And we kind of split them. Top and bottom.
So obviously Charlie, we had to put Charlie first because
she can't stand being behind anyone. So she, you know,

(30:48):
we wanted to put her out first.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
And she just loves it. She just wants to get
up and go.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
She wants to get up and go. Lynn Grant obviously
was killing it. Esther, absolutely killing it. And then we
were like, go look at the bottom. We're like, Colott
is killing it, right? My Stark's killing it. Now, Selene
hasn't got any points, but we wanted to put her
in that position because she has won more majors than anybody.
She's beaten these girls more than anybody. Like she has

(31:16):
been in that mentally tough pressure situations more than anybody.
And we believe that if it came down to her,
she would get it done. So that's why we put
in that position. And then the four, the kind of
six in the middle, we kind of just we had
thought about like obviously certain positions like Lotte we put
at A because we knew that that was going to
be a pivotal match and she was playing great we

(31:41):
also knew that they would probably put Nelly near the
top so that's why we wanted to put Mimi up
there because she was playing awesome I mean everyone was
playing great so it was difficult and then we kind
of wanted to put Nana and Julia in the middle
they hadn't played on Saturday and we thought that that
would be a little bit of our secret weapon like
a little bit fresh like And they.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
By the way, had an amazing rookie performance. Like your
rookies really brought it.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Smashed it.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
So like, yeah. So like, yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
And I just felt like the Americans were, oh, they
didn't play yesterday. So they're obviously not playing good. That's
not why we played. That's not why we didn't play them.
Do you know what I mean? So we felt like
that could have gone, that could have flipped very quickly.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
So there is a little bit of strategy to it.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
And I'm actually really proud of how the strategy that
we had a good conversation about it. And it worked out.
I mean, obviously we got off to a great start.
And then the four in the middle, three of them
being rookies, by the way, was like a joke. Like,
you know, Julia, Nass, and Lottie, and Nana Madsen. Like, boom, boom, boom, boom.

(32:39):
I mean, they really are the ones that made us
feel comfortable that we could win this thing. So, yeah,
I mean, the rookies were just fucking ridiculous. I mean,
they just have no fear. I mean, they play on
the LPGA. They're so used to playing against these girls
in Yeah, but it's still different.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
This is like a whole different world. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
But, you know, we had just, I mean, we put
Nassim and Mimi together. Like, you know, it's kind of
a rule. Usually you don't put two rookies together, but
we were like, you guys love each other. You guys
are so comfortable with each other. Do you want to
play together? And they're like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Like, cool, go. Go get your point.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
And they did. Like, both times they won together. Like,
it was incredible. So, yeah, we just, yeah, the rookies
were just so good. I was just so proud of them. Um,
and they just got it. Like sometimes it takes a
couple of days for them to kind of like, Oh,
this is what it's about. Whereas they just understood it
from day one. So it was just, uh, I mean, Anna,

(33:34):
fair play to Anna with her picks. Like she, she
absolutely smashed it and it worked out obviously. But I was,
I was just so proud with how the rookies handled themselves,
how they played, uh, how fearless they were. I mean, it's, um,
hopefully it propels a lot of them, you know, Mimi's
not had a great season. Hopefully this now propels her
into like, um, going out and winning on the LPGA. Same,

(33:54):
you know, NASA's played great. Yeah. But now they know
that they can, it changes your career. Like if you
can perform in a Solheim Cup, it just propels you
in a weird way. So they deserve all of it.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Was there, what was the moment on Sunday where you
were like, okay, I think we're, we've got this. And
was there ever a moment where you were worried?

Speaker 3 (34:14):
I mean, I'm always getting a bit worried because I know,
I know how this, I've been in so many of
these now. I know how this can change very quickly.
We've had it happen to us a lot on like
in a positive manner. Like we've switched things a lot.
We've won kind of squeaky, squeaky bum time last minute.
But you never quite, I was very happy with the

(34:35):
way that it was stacking up. you know, when Alison
Lee started to make a fight back, I was like, whoa, okay. Like,
I hope the girls are not looking at this thinking, oh,
this looks good. Like, I hope they just kind of
got their head down and getting their point because it
can be quite distracting when you see so much blue
at times. And then Lottie went from like three, four
up to like one up. And I was like, okay,
like she needs to get her point. Like she needs to,

(34:56):
you know, turn this around a little bit. So I'm
always skeptical about getting too comfortable, but Yeah, I mean,
there's so much blue on the board and the way
that they were playing. I don't know. It's funny, me
and Anna were talking about it on Sunday morning. Sometimes
you have to have a bit of pep talk and

(35:18):
you have to just have a few words with a
few of the players. We felt that we didn't really
need to do that. I spoke to Charlie before and
I spoke to Lottie. I texted Lottie, but that was it.
The players just came in and the caddies just came
in with this don't fuck with me mentality. Like it
was awesome.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Carlotta's quote about Jen Kupcho. Oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
All time. Do you remember what she said?

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Yeah. She says, I want to kill her. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
She did. Basically. Yeah. She was like, you know, she's
not going to have those putts again and I want
to kill her. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Literally.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Well, when we read out all the parents on the
bus and obviously, you know, whatever, doing our thing. And
then Carter, I said, Carter, you're playing with me. Jen
and literally the bus erupted like she was she wanted
Jen she wanted revenge and she got it this is
cool she got it I mean it's always just awesome

(36:16):
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
I mean that's the type of stuff that's why sports
are great yeah that's what makes people care I know
when they care and they're so they Carlotta has that
level of passion Carlotta.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Siganda I'll tell you what I'll tell you what top
draw from the gallery some fantastic songs this year yeah
I was very impressed with the songs.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
The crowd was amazing.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Yeah we had some great new songs I was very
impressed with the imagination and creativity so well done to
everybody involved you're just good at chants aren't we I.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Know it's really we just don't have that it's okay
It's not a skill we Americans possess. So when all
was said and done, there were some comments made on
the opposing side about the setup.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
So briefly, we can just go through that.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Sure. Look, the greens were slow. They were at 10.5.
And Angelo was like, we weren't expecting it to be
that slow. I'll give you some inside knowledge, Kira. Needed
it at our place. Like, so guess what? We had
five days to prep. So did you. Like the players,
like she makes out that it was to benefit us.

(37:40):
And like, we were like, well, no.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
One was weather.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Like we had to, we were predicted a lot of wind.
So if we had it at 12, they were going
to go off the green. The greens were so undulating.
So that was reason number one. And reason number two, like, no,
our players are used to playing on fast greens. it
literally doesn't benefit us any more than it benefits you. So,
you did have five days to prep the way that

(38:04):
we did. Like, our players are not used to playing
on greens like that either.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
Because all your players are all playing on the LPGA.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Doing the same thing week in, week out as the
American West.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
Yeah, and our players are like, wow, these greens are so,
I'm like, yeah, no, we'll get used to it because
they're not getting any quicker.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Deal with it.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
And yeah, just deal with it. And so, I just
felt like it was a bit like, you know, excuse-y. So, yeah.
That was, I mean, if that's what she thought, it's
not true. Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Well, she's entitled to her opinion.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
She's entitled to her opinion.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Say what she wants. And you're entitled to yours. So
fair play. These are the best plays in the world.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Like, I'm sorry if you can't get a green speed
right in five days, there's something wrong. That's my opinion.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure in the moment too, you're just
like annoyed and want to talk about something that maybe
was a sticking point at some point and that comes
up in the press conference and whatever.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
Yeah. Yeah. It just makes it easier, doesn't it? But
I just, I, I'm just saying I don't necessarily agree
with it. I think they all had the same preparation. Um,
so there we go.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Okay. What does a Solheim winning party look like?

Speaker 3 (39:15):
What'd you guys do? Um, actually, well, Yeah, it's a
lot of drinking. It's a lot of dancing, a lot
of drinking. You know, it's nice because it's the one
time like the friends and family and, you know, whoever
kind of want... if we say that you can come
in you can come in so.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Yeah who's the bouncer are you the bouncer no surely
not everybody would get in.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
There security john oh okay john from security john from
security john from security john from security was our bouncer
oh shout out john one guy was like creeping on
the girls And I kind of was looking at him
and Lauren, one of the caddies was like, who the
fuck is that? I don't know. So I like started

(39:57):
pushing him and then Polly from the staff kind of
saw me. It was like, whoa, what's going on? I'm like,
who is this guy? And she's like, I don't know.
And he just like walked in.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
John from security. We need to do better now.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
So he kicked him out. But other than that, it
was good. It was, it's just a big old party, really. DJ,
a lot of dancing.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Did the Americans come in?

Speaker 3 (40:24):
Not as many as I thought. We usually get them
all coming in, but there wasn't that many. I think
Jennifer Kupcho came in. Paula Creamer, Jason, a couple others
came in. But I honestly didn't really see them for
very long. I don't know what happened. I was kind
of just, I was vibing.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
I know what happened. A social butterfly.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
So, yeah. Just a social butterfly. But it just turns
in and people just kind of like, you know, scrape
their way to bed. Me and my best mate, Brianne,
who's always my car girl, she's like my plus one, basically,
every so long. She lost her phone. Don't know how.

(41:07):
I don't know how.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Did she ever find it?

Speaker 3 (41:10):
We found it on the way to the airport.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Oh, good.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Someone found it, but she's going to have to post
it to us. So not ideal. Oh, no. Yeah, she
didn't know what time her flight was or anything. So
she had to just come with me. I don't know
how she woke up. Someone apparently set an alarm for
her in the room, but we shut it down. I
think there's still some people up at four o'clock. Loads
of people missed their flight.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
I did not.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
They care.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
I was a good girl. What time was your flight? 12. Okay.
That's not bad. And what time did you go to bed?

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Well, I had to leave at half seven.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Four. So you got three and a half hours of sleep. Yeah,
I did. But then I assume you slept on the
plane the whole way home.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Pretty much. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Yeah. And now you get to be a mother. I'm
a mother, Kira. I'm a mother.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
I kept saying that during the whole week. I was like,
how the hell am I a mother of two? The
way I'm just acting.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
So good.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
Oh, well.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Oh, man. Well, what a week it was. I'm very
happy for you. Sad for the Americans, but very happy
for you. And at the end of the day, Kira,
golf won.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
It really did.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
It was a good battle. I know.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
Just the level of golf, the atmosphere. Yeah, it was great.
I mean, obviously, we're fucking fired up that we won
because that's our whole point. But the whole team and everything,
I will say, I think it's my favorite Solheim so far.
I was just, I absolutely, I loved it. Everyone got it.
Everyone knew what they were doing. The whole, from the
staff to physios, nutritionists, caddies, helpers, Players, obviously, everyone just,

(42:45):
it was such a special bonding week. We are literally
in it together. Yeah, it was cool.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Europe is really bringing it. I didn't notice or realize
this after you guys won, but Europe now has the
Solheim Cup, the Walker Cup, and the Ryder Cup. And
it just goes to show that you guys have some
special sauce that the Americans need to figure out.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
And you got, well, you got the President's Cup coming up.
You need to.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Well, that's different. That's playing internationals.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
I just mean... Can you imagine if you lost that
one as well?

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Oh, that would be less sad. No. That would be
less than ideal. I would be shooketh if they lost that.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Shooketh upon my mind. I would agree. I think you
guys are fine there.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
But yeah, no, it is.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
I mean.
Yeah, I don't know what we do, but we're doing
something right. So it was cool.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Yeah. Anything else you want to say about Solheim? That
was like a good deep dive. If anyone cares about Solheim,
I feel like they will have learned a lot.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
I mean, no, not really. I think all in all,
it was a great success. I think on their side,
you've got to give a lot of love and respect
to Alison Lee. I thought she played out of her
mind and beaten for the week. Lauren Coughlin, unbelievable. Austin Kim,
she'll be at many, many Solheims. Lindy Duncan, rookie. I

(44:14):
thought she performed incredibly well. We spoke about her being
a journey pro her whole life. Makes it to Solheim
and just thrived. Just so happy for her. And Angel Yin,
who's been battling with injury for two or three months. Look,
she's obviously not 100%, but the fact that she had
the balls to play in it, because she was an
automatic pick, that's how good she's played. And with having

(44:34):
two months off, she deserves to be there. um and
I said to her like it's great having you back
out and uh you know getting your juices going again
and I'm really proud of you so yeah just a
few kind of words from from the American side so
it was it was great.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
And Anna I assume is just like.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
Over the moon with how it all turned out oh
my god yeah she's putting so much work and she
was she was exhausted on Saturday like She was struggling
to get her Saturday night speech out, which is probably
the most important speech of the week. But she did it.
She said some very moving words. She's just, yeah, she
was an incredible captain. Yeah, she just kind of, it's

(45:17):
so difficult being a captain because it's so easy to
be too involved and not involved at the same time.
So she just, I don't know how she balanced it out.
Like if I ever have the privilege of being captain,
she'll be one of the first people I call up. Mm-hmm.
Help me.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Help me, I'm poor.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Help me, I'm poor. Don't know what to do. So yeah,
I thought she did fine. She deserves it. She deserves
all of it.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Yay.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Yay.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
You guys all deserve it. I'm very happy for you.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
Thank you, Kira.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
The only things other than Solheim that happened last week
that were of note, which we don't really need to
talk about because whatever. is Liv Holf filed for bankruptcy.
What a shock.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
Which, yeah, we knew it was going to happen. And
then the other thing, which actually was great, was Shane
Lowry winning the Irish Open by 11 shots.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
That was actually pretty cool. That was awesome.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
I don't know how much you were able to see
any of that.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
I saw some highlights. But buzzing for the lad, it's like, what,
17 years since he did it as a kid or
16 years or something? He did it as an amateur.
So cool.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
I love all the videos of like his kids reacting
to the wind and he's had a tough season. So,
so good on you, Shane. Shane. Well done, Shane. Well done. Right.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
What's your show of the week?

Speaker 2 (46:37):
Okay. So, uh, Andrew and I've been going to these
classes one night. It's breastfeeding class. The other night it's, uh, uh,
birth one-on-one, uh, we've got baby care basics coming up
next week, but at birth 101, there's this, uh, you're
kind of sitting in like the waiting room of a

(47:00):
OBGYN office is where they do the class. And there's
this couple next to us and they're, they're like kind
of weird. I don't know. They're like really snuggling during
the class. And then also she's like constantly getting up
and walking around and just There's a lot of anxious energy,
which is fine. Fair. We're doing something that's really scary

(47:22):
and anxiety inducing. They brought their own snacks and their
own drinks, like a coffee, like a soda. Fair.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
Fair.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Halfway through the class, they get up and they leave.
It's too much for her. She has to leave. But
they left all of their trash from their own snacks
and their own drinks. And Andrew can't stand that type
of behavior when you're just so entitled and leave your
shit around and expect people to pick it up after you.

(47:56):
So Andrew, of course, picked all their stuff up and
threw it away and then made sure to mention to,
we were like saying to the other people around like, well,
if you're going to leave the middle of the class,
at least take your own trash. So my shush is
that couple that was weird and leaving their stuff everywhere
and being super disrespectful in a public place in an

(48:18):
environment that's anxiety inducing for us all.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
No, I would agree.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
They're my shush.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
My shush is going through passport control and security in Amsterdam.
It is the biggest shit show you've ever seen in
your life. And it was not what I needed on
three hours of sleep and a top 10 hangover. And
I was desperate for a wee as well.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Yeah, you're a mother now.

Speaker 3 (48:41):
I'm a mother now. I can't be doing these things.
So that was it for me. People almost missed their flight.
It took like an hour to get through. So that
is it for me. Passport security lines after being quite
horrifically hungover on zero sleep.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
From super high, high to really low, humbling, humbling, biggest
back to reality.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
Oh my God. I know. Anyway. So yeah, I'm pretty
sure I snored on the plane as well. Cause the
woman comes over and she goes, Oh, you're really in
deep sleep. I thought definitely snoring. Oh my God. And then,
Oh no, this is actually kind of gross. There was
an old lady next to me. I'm in business class
and the old lady next to me, like really, you know,
like really old, but like the bums are so flat.

(49:26):
That's how old they are. Yeah. She fucking stood up
and farted like in my face. I just couldn't keep
it in.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
You know, like old lady fart.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
Oh no.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
I was like, Listen, I get people like can't control themselves.
But I was like, bitch, like turn around, do it in.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
Your own cubicle. Don't crop dust me.

Speaker 3 (49:45):
Don't crop dust me on like not a good day today.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
Like I'm sensitive to smells today. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:54):
So this 90-year-old crop dusted me. So that was just
the icing on the cake of my day yesterday. And
then I had to come home and be a mother.
All right.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
All worth it, K-Dawg. It was all worth it. All
worth it. Okay. Well, congratulations again to Team Gear Up
on winning the Solheim Cup. I am sure you're going
to get some very well-deserved rest while taking care of
a newborn and a toddler. So enjoy that, Mel.

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
And we'll go back to our regular programming next week
and talk about more boring things than the Solheim Cup. Exactly.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
I'm very happy for you and happy that you got
to have that experience.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Appreciate it. I'm very happy as well.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
