Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is America's Voice Live and Welcome to America's Voice Live.
I'm Steve Greger. The pulse of the people. We need
somebody that's going to hear it. People's voice, the truth
the mainstream won't touch. This guy is by definition of
globals and the stories that matter. Rabs own, Ben burklom.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Redit Bovis Hill, I've got Cartel. I see him, I
see him, I see.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Him live breaking news right nowt here in Real America's
Voice filter.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
These people are domestic terrorists and unapologete.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
We're here to take a stand for God and country.
Let's feel good. America's Voice Live starts now. Welcome to
America's Voice Live. I'm Steve Gruber. It is Monday, the
twelfth of December of the Year of Our Lord, twenty
twenty six. It's good. In the day's top stories is
always thank you for joining us here on Real America's Voice,
(00:53):
but truly appreciate you being here. A lot is happening
with international affairs, from the situation Iran where hundreds of
protesters beginning maybe thousands, and anti regime protests, the prospect
of the United States person Greenland. Also in the headlines,
all of that in detail today. Also, ICE protests continue
to rag John with a surge after the recent self
defense ice involved shooting in Minnesota happened last week. Bring
(01:16):
on our own, Ben Berkwam. He's riding with ICE today
to give us his perspective from the ground level. And
then later President Trump and Secretary Kennedy recently rolled out
new dietary guidelines for America. I'll bring on doctor Ben
Carson gives more details than what he thinks of him
at first. I want to start with a less war
on common sense. Yes, there is a war on common
(01:37):
sense and on ICE and frankly on this country as
far as I can tell, Rene Nicole Good was shot
by an ICE agent last week after she tried to
run him over with her car. So I told you
last week, it seems pretty obvious to me, in two
millions of others that if you try to run over
a police officer, a law enforcement agent of any kind
with a moving vehicle, or if it seems like that
might be a possibility or your intent, you're likely to
(01:59):
have a bad outcome your life, likely to get shot.
But with all the evidence coming out, video evidence that
is showing Rene Goods car striking the officer or people
throwing common sense right out the window and just flat
out line to make this a martyr situation because that's
what they want for their narrative. If Renee and the
cole Good had been murdered by an illegal alien, there'd
be no rioting in the streets. We wouldn't even know
(02:20):
her name. This story would not be dominating the weekend
news cycle. She would be erased and forgotten. When I
pointed out the immigration status of killers in the past,
I've been called names, been called a racist, a bigot,
a xenophobe, just for wanting to make this country a
safer place. Seems odd, doesn't it. But because Renee was
shot by an ICE agent while defying lawful orders and
(02:42):
causing harm to an agent, it's an all out war
against Ice with common sense, like I said, right out
the window, and not just common sense, but the truth too.
Here is Senator, and gosh, it's hard to say. Here
is Senator Adam Schiff completely misrepresenting the entire situation. Like usual, listen,
it was.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Struck by a few things. First of all, it's horrifying
to watch and to think about this thirty seven year
old woman drops her kid off at school, not involved
in protest activity or anything. Seems to be in the
wrong place at the wrong time. But at one point
she's waiving other cars to come on past, trying to
make sure that she's not in the way, although she's
(03:22):
been pulled over. And then you see her trying to
turn away from these officers and the shots fired into
the car.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Uh huh. Now this is the same live that Minnesota
authorities originally tried to get away with. The problem is
this woman was not simply in the wrong place at
the wrong time. We now know she was part of
an ice watch group, a group that monitors and actively
interferes with ICE operations. Before the shooting, she was monitoring
and interfering with the ICE operations for an extended period
(03:55):
of time. A neighbor who witnessed the incident says that
Good was blocking so they couldn't progress. Renee's wife, in
a statement after her death, admitted that the pair was
out to help their neighbors, armed with whistles and more.
She said, We're not in the wrong place at the
wrong time. They're exactly where they wanted to be. Anyone
who just swallows the left's lies about the situation, hook
(04:17):
line and Sinker is being made a fool. The left
has lied about every single case like this for the
last two decades. It's a good bet that the open
borders communists marching in the streets and calling for the
murder of law enforcement officers are not the good guys
in this scenario at all. Easy to figure out. Women
like Renee Good have made it their personal mission to
undermine and defy authority in some twisted idea of justice.
(04:41):
I've seen a lot of people pointing out that Renee
was a mother of three, which I think is just
as tragic and important as they're trying to make it.
Not because it makes the ICE officer's actions more egregious,
but because that's what Renee should have been focused on.
She comes from a population of left wingers who got
high on policing everyone around them during the pandemic. I'm
moral grand standing in the wake up George Floyd's death.
(05:04):
Living on vigilanteism is an outlet for them, and it's
never enough, never enough. Now, these people, many of them
white women, most of them in fact, long for all
out combat with Ice. Here's another Karen doing the same thing.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
If you could if I continually see you following us,
interfering with us, honking your horns, blocking our cars, you
have a very high probability of making a really bad
decision and being interested there.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
Okay, I'm.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Giving her a warning to not interfere with what we're doing,
to not make a bad decision today in your life. Okay,
thank you, good, alrighty, thank you, have.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
A good day.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
I hope you have a table day. Okay, thank you.
Speaker 8 (05:49):
And these are the guy they won't show their faces.
They're taking these people no reason. I'm duck chaing some
active trophic stuff. You are you a police officer?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I am a police officer. What does it say police?
Federal officer? Right? You can read right? Please step back.
I'm asking you twice. Third time. I'm gonna make you.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
If you resist, I'm gonna arrest you.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Thank you very much. That works.
Speaker 8 (06:15):
They're not they're taking these men unlawfully. They're taking these
men on lawfully.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Now. I am struck by the delusional actions of Renan
or wife Rebecca. These clips that continue to circulate on
the internet. Their attitudes speak for themselves. They just think
this is all just a joke that they're cosplaying is
vigilantes something they can't wait to tell all their liberal
friends about that their actions don't have consequences. Well, they're wrong.
(06:43):
This is exactly what their movement has taught them. They
get away with anything impeding law enforcement without repercussions. That
ICE watch group I told you about, They've released more
information in the last several days about engaging with ICE,
and their tips include the file let the victim you
know the criminal, the victim being a criminal illegal alien
(07:05):
in your car. Ask a nearby business for a lockable
room or office block ICE cars. Ask. This is key
white witnesses to put their bodies between ICE agents and
the criminal illegal alien. Are you kidding me? Now? First
of all, that is racist by definition. Second, do not
do any of that. I mean, what the hell? Like
(07:27):
I said, where's the common sense? The hatred is pervasive.
Here's a post from the popular musical artist Zara Larson,
who says she loves criminals, abortions, and socialism, among other things,
but effing hates ICE. How shameful and frankly stupid. Compare
the left's rhetoric to Tom Holman's plea to the public.
Speaker 9 (07:47):
Here he is, I'm begging tone down a rhetor in
my career, buried borbitual agents. I buried ice agents. And
the saddest thing I've ever had to do his hand
the fold a flag to a spouse or a child.
I don't want to see anybody die. Anybody the people
(08:08):
are looking for, even the worst of the worst.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I don't see it. Boy die.
Speaker 9 (08:15):
So for God's sake, let's tone the rhetoric down. Let's brother,
I want to see him a bloodshed. I didn't want
see blood serving day one. But with the rhetoric now
comparing Eiston murderers and the chief secret Police, I'm afraid
this is not over.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I'm afraid you're right.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah, I'm afraid he is too. Absolutely right. The bloodshed
will continue for as long as the left continues its
war against law enforcement. And so the world works, whether
you like it or not. And they don't like that truth.
They don't, as evidenced by the CNN panels allergic reaction
to basic facts.
Speaker 10 (08:58):
Check this out, well, protesting is perfectly fine in this country.
That's not what was happening in this case. And as
we saw from the reporting in the last twenty four hours,
there's a group of people who are being trained to
use vehicles in convoys to disrupt ICE operations. Disrupt to
do ice.
Speaker 11 (09:19):
I mean, I think this is important. What do you
what disrupt anybody? Do you have wanted to stay the
statistics to support this conclusion.
Speaker 10 (09:26):
I read the article in the New York Post that
went chapter and verse.
Speaker 11 (09:29):
Through all the time.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Every post is absolutely right. I know it's doing it.
Speaker 10 (09:36):
There's there's a training, there's impede and obstruction.
Speaker 11 (09:40):
I feel like I'm taking justified.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
And there's a cause.
Speaker 11 (09:44):
I can't speak to the crazy pills.
Speaker 10 (09:46):
But in the video, I mean, you're denying the video
things that have been opened and reported.
Speaker 11 (09:50):
Scott, listen, I'm not going to treat the New York
Posts like the Bible. Okay, in the video, I didn't
ask you to. I just asked you to be honest.
Speaker 10 (09:58):
No one's disputing you see, just be honest.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
It's a simple ask. The discourse I'm seeing from the
left has me feeling the exact same way that Scott does.
But they're the ones taking crazy pills. For instance, over
in the crazy capital of America, Portland, Oregon, a CBP
officer shot and wooded two people in Portland who also
tried to run over police with their car. In fact,
they rammed them several times. It's since been confirmed that
(10:25):
those two individuals had ties to the Venezuelan gang Tunde
Aragua TDA. But when the Portland Police Chief, Bob Day
admitted those facts, he started to cry about the injustice
against Latinos. It's something here, it is.
Speaker 12 (10:40):
I hesitated to even share this information initially because I'm
very aware of the historic injustice of victim blaming, oftentimes
portrayed by law enforcement, including in this very agency that
I've represented so proudly for so many years, and historically
we have not been quick to disclose the potential criminal
(11:05):
history of others. I want to speak for just a moment,
specifically to my Latino community. It saddens it saddens me
that we even have to qualify these remarks because I understand,
(11:30):
or at least have attempted to understand through your voices,
your concerned, your fear, your anger. Uh. This information in
no way is meant to to disparage or to condone
or support or agree with any of the actions that
(11:52):
occurred yesterday.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, these are not serious people anything. It's racist to
lump all Latino people in with a Venezuelan drug trafficking
gang member from TDA. Wouldn't you say, how about there
are plenty of grateful Latinos that those criminals are off
the streets. I'm sure of it. Like I said, just
an utter lack of common sense and a complete twisting
of the truth and omission of key facts, especially by
(12:19):
the media, which jd Vance has handled so masterfully in
the last week. I'll leave you with this interaction which
reported try to insinuate the renee lost her life just
because she was a law abiding protester.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Here he is if everything you say is true, how
just being part of that network justify being shot?
Speaker 7 (12:42):
Well, being part of a network doesn't justify being shot.
But ramming an ice officer with your car, that's what
justifies being shot. It's not a good thing, by the way,
but when you force somebody to engage in self defense,
it's almost a preposterous question. I'm not saying that funding
some of this stuff justify capital punishment. Nobody would suggest
that the reason this woman is dead is because she
(13:05):
tried to ram somebody with her car and that guy
acted in self defense.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
That is why she lost her life.
Speaker 7 (13:12):
What is I'm Sorry, guys, what's going on here? You
guys are meant to report the truth. How have you
let yourself become agents of propaganda of a radical fringe
that's making it harder for us to.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Enforce our laws.
Speaker 7 (13:26):
You just asked me a question that presumed that the
reason why this woman died is because she was engaged
in legitimate protests. She tried to run somebody over with
her car and the guy defended himself when that happened.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Next question, Good answer, great answer. The bottom line is this,
don't for a second by the way that the less
is twisting this story continuously. They don't deserve even a
second of consideration because it's the less rhetoric. But renee
in the position she was in in the first place.
In my estimation, there's a war on iceand on common sense,
(13:59):
and I know which side I'm on. How about you?
Coming up after the break, I'll discuss current international affairs,
including the protests in Iran, where reports show maybe thousands
of protesters have now been killed, as well as the
prospect of the United States purchasing Greenland one way or
the other. All that and more are coming up next.
(14:22):
Now it has not been covered by the mainstream media
the way we cover it here. Of course, the massive
demonstration across the nation of Iran, one hundred and ninety
cities now tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people
protesting the government being shot, some of them and standing
up anyway. President Donald Trump warning the regime in Tehran
(14:45):
the United States will not sit idly by while innocent
civilians are being slaughtered. Reports estimated at least three thousand
people killed that comes from the NCRII, including four hundred
and ninety six demonstrators, more than ten thousand citizens dragged
off to attention, and two god only knows what fate
spekerboard Air Force one. President Trump said Iron was starting
to cross US red lines and warned that any attack
(15:08):
on American interests would trigger overwhelming retaliation. They've seen it before,
they might see it again here on threatening to target
US troops and Israel, of course, if Washington defended the protesters,
but Trump insisted his team was weighing very strong options.
Jumy to discuss this further. Former Congressman executive director of
the American Constitutional Rights Union, Lieutenant Colonel Alan West, Colonel
(15:32):
always good to see you, pleasure to be with you.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Thank you, Steve.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
This is not getting the coverage. You can go to
social media, and even though Iron tried to block out
all access to the Internet, because there's such a kind
and loving regime, the information is getting out anyway. We're
seeing thousands and tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of
people in the streets. The latest report I got is
more than three thousand people killed. Hard to get, you know,
(16:00):
numbers that you can be sure of, but hundreds thousands
being gunned down, ten thousand dragged off to you know,
some gulag somewhere. And when Donald Trump warns people they'd
be wise to pay attention to your thoughts. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
I think one of the main reasons why the left
does not want to cover this is because look at
what Barack Obama did the last time we had this uprising.
He absolutely did not support them whatsoever. And the fact
that you can see a country that Barack Obama said,
you know, tens of millions of dollars to undisclosed in
an unmarked aircraft to in the middle of the night,
(16:36):
that's pretty embarrassing. As well as the sanctions being lifted
by the Biden administration. Look, I think that without a doubt,
Donald Trump is going to look at the options that
are available. We call it the dime theory and military terminology, diplomatic, informational, military,
and economic. And I think you're going to look at
those other things, the diplomatic approaches, the informational, the economic approaches,
(16:57):
before we would ever go to a military approach with
out of doubt. I think the mos and the Iotolas
have to know that this is a different president and
their time in control of the Persian people there in
Iran is coming to an end.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah, let me ask you about this because in Iran
women there are being shot, beaten, dragged off to prison
for turning off their hijobs. But here in America, the
white liberal women are putting them on in some sort
of I don't know, a game. I think the cosplaying
something I don't understand. The women of Iran have been
(17:33):
abused since nineteen seventy nine. They lost all their rights.
They're second class citizens. They can't drive, they can't go
outside unless they're fully covered, and if they do, if
they tear off their high job, I mean they just
get beaten, jailed, killed. Sometimes what is wrong with the
American loves that they don't understand this basic fact.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, you would have thought that the white liberal women,
this feminist movement, maybe the women on the view would
have spoken out about Joe Biden and his withdrawal from
Afghanistan which set those women back under the chains of
the Taliban and Sharia law. But you see those voices
never being spoken. As a matter of fact, as you
just showed previously, they would rather go out there and
(18:12):
try to protect criminal illegal immigrants who are raping women
here in the United States of America, to include child
rapists and also committing acts of murder, instead of speaking
out for the women that are truly being oppressed all
across this globe under the yoke of Sharia law and
Islamic terrorism and totalitarianism.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
No question, I guess Iran Tehran did not get the memo,
even after the massive attack and show a force on
their nuclear facilities. They didn't get the memo after what
happened in Venezuela. Let's so we'll see what happens there.
Donald Trump issued a pretty stern warning, we'll see if
they pay attention. I want to shift gears though, to
going to the north end of the Western hemisphere to Greenland.
(18:54):
Should we start looking at you land on Zillo, there's
a new bill being introduced by Carson and Randy Fine
of Florida that would realize President Trump's ambitions to acquire Greenland.
He wants to make it a state. Now, that doesn't
make sense. There's only sixty thousand people there. But the
point is Greenland is strategically important in the United States.
(19:14):
NATO has failed miserably, miserably since the end of World
War Two to fund their militaries, to take care of
the militaries. Look, you're an expert in this regard. I
don't know if there's a credible military left on the
European content, except maybe France. But it's not Germany, it's
not the UK. I don't expect Denmark provide adequate security
in Greenland to protect the United States. We need to
do that. Where am I wrong? Oh, you're not wrong.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
And when I was stationed back in Europe, I was
part of it NATO ACE Mobile Reaction Force and one
of the missions that we had, we were airborne unit.
We had to train in Cole were the climates. Sometimes
we go up into the mountains, the Dolomedes. Sometimes we
even go up to Norway, and I think that's what
we need to look at more joint and combine on operations.
(20:00):
We need to have a security or agreement that we
will come together and protect the Greenland and make sure
that we don't see the incursions of the Russians, we
don't see the incursions of the Chinese. And that means
utilizing our land forces, utilizing our maritime forces and also
our air forces to provide those type of security arrangement
and agreements. And we need to have trained military training
exercises up there in Greenland to show those adversaries, those
(20:25):
belligerent forces that we're very serious about that. So I
don't think all this stuff about going in and taking
over Greenland. That's not a viable solution. But we can
look at those joint and combine military agreement and strategies
and exercises that will send a message to our adversaries.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, a quick glance that the history books will tell
you all you need to know. During World War two,
when Denmark was occupied by the Nazis, we created the
Greenland Defense Alliance. We protected Greenland in World War Two.
As you would expect, something's going to change. I've made
the prediction here, I'll make it again, and we will
have much greater control of Greenland before Donald Trump leaves office,
(21:03):
and probably a lot sooner. Last word to you, no.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
I think it is so important and again what you
are seeing from the Trump administration. You cannot really be
a leader of the quote unquote free world until you're
a leader in your own hemisphere. And he is making
sure that he is doing that. He has sent a
clear message to Latin America. I don't know if you
saw the interview the Maduro security guard, but I think
the people in Latin America are going to stiffen up
(21:29):
and pay more attention. And I think it's very important
that we protect that northern part of our hemisphere as well.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Yeah, Colonel Low is a pleasure talking to you. A
lot of moving parts on the board today. We'll see
where we end up. We'll talk again soon, sir. Thank you,
Thank you God blessed God to take care of you.
I appreciate that and to you the same, my friend.
Coming up after the break, I'm going to check in
with Rav's own corus find at ben Berg KWAM. He
was with Ice earlier today. He's going to give us
(21:58):
the ground level view of the road tests, the operations
against all this all this rising violence against our law
enforcement agents that's coming up on America's Voice Live all right,
our own reporter Ben Berkwam, who's on the front lines
(22:21):
oftentimes with these immigration issues. He's been riding with ICE
these past few months, with boots on the ground, first
person reporting and showing you what it's like from ground level. Today,
he's joining me from the streets of Los Angeles to
share his experience facing the dangers that pop up nationwide
after the shooting of Renee Good and the chaos on
the left as they continue their protests in Mayhem obstructing
(22:42):
police officers. Ben Good, to see you, all right, tell
us what it's like. We need a ground level view
of what you're experiencing in these ride alongs.
Speaker 13 (22:51):
Well, look, I just came from Minneapolis. I was there
a month ago, writing, actually less than a month ago,
riding with ICE, and what I saw in Minneapolis leading
up to Renee Good getting shot was the worst I've
seen in our country. This organization of anarchist communists and
now jihattists, all working together under the banners of these NGOs,
all funded and coordinated, and these groups, these rapid response
(23:14):
networks going out and trying to obstruct ICE doing their job.
Speaker 11 (23:17):
That's right.
Speaker 13 (23:17):
Renee Good is dead because they chose to go out
and get in ICE's way and then use deadly force
against ICE, and ICE responded with deadly force.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
But you see that everywhere you go in LA there's
these signs.
Speaker 13 (23:28):
I can't even put them on air, we'd have to
blur them all, but basically calling for the death of
ICE officers. And it goes right back to the politicians
and right back to that pathetic scumbag police chief in
Portland that are victimizing the criminals and criminalizing the victims.
It's the radical left in our country. And another perfect example,
(23:50):
I'm right outside the ICE office here in LA. You
don't see anybody out here. There are few protests. A
few nights ago there at protests, but it's all coordinated.
But to the Democrats, to the liberals, the only reason
ICE has to go out into your community to get
these guys is because you aren't honoring the detainer. Perfect
example today, I've got some footage I think we're going
to be running. We run out because the jails don't
(24:12):
honor the detainers. ICE has to wait outside the jails
for the illegals to be released. And this morning we
saw it. One of the illegals was released. Immediately he
starts running. We get into this pursuit, ends up running
around the building, multiple Ice officers chasing, and we ended
up catching up to him. Finally captured, HI, got him
in the vehicle. He ended up slipping out the other side,
(24:33):
running again. Caught him again. But this is what happens
when you're in a lawless city and state that prioritizes
criminals over the law abiding citizens, and to all these
sanctuary jurisdictions. You don't want ice out in your community.
We'll let them pick them up in the jails. But
they don't want to hear that. They don't want actually solutions,
they just want chaos in America.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Let me ask you this, Ben, because this comes to
mind as I watched the footage of that footchase. He
only gets cornered against a FA and brought into custody.
But what is the morale of the men and women
you're riding along with because of all this that's happening.
I mean, they get spit at, they get the middle finger,
they have people driving at them, blocking, honking horns, blowing whistles,
(25:13):
all of this chaos. What is the morale of the
people that are doing this.
Speaker 13 (25:19):
I've traveled all over the country and I got to
tell you the morale is as high as I've ever
seen it, because these are warriors that want to do
their job. Put American citizens first, put their communities first,
protect their communities. So if you get a few people
out there screaming at them, calling them names, they have
thick skin. They're not soy boy little liberals that can't
(25:40):
take that need their safe spaces. These are tough men
and tough women that did it, that chose to do
a job that a lot of people wouldn't choose to do,
and they just want to be able to do their job.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Now.
Speaker 13 (25:50):
It makes them sick when these idiots go out there,
especially the politicians, and tell lies about them, But if anything,
it just motivates them more to do their job or
even get more illegals.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Well, that is.
Speaker 13 (26:02):
Again rolls as high as it's ever been.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Yeah, that is good news. I want to leave it
on that high note today. Ben. Thank you you're in
Los Angeles. Keep your head down, be careful, but keep
delivering the goods. We need to see the truth out here.
We appreciate it. Ben, thank you very much, well do you?
Thanks Steve? All right. A new year means new financial goals,
like making sure your savings are secure and diversified. Will
this be the year you finally listen to me and
(26:28):
talk to someone from Birch Gold. It's an important thing
to do Aussie. They're great people. I appreciate their educational
approach and their understanding of macroeconomics. There are forces pushing
the dollar lower and higher, which is why they believe
every American show on physical gold. So until January thirtieth,
if you're a first time goal buyer, Birch Gold is

After the break, I'll discuss the new dietary guidelines for
Americans with doctor Ben Carson, the Secretary Kennedy and his
team revealed just last week. More on that straight ahead
on America's Voice Live.
Speaker 9 (27:34):
Now.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
You don't always hear about it, but the MAHA movement
has been working on ways to ensure that all Americans
have the means and information to uproot their lives and
up grade their lives when it comes to health. Now
that sounds was broken. Last week, Secretary Kennedy and his
staff revealed the brand new American Dietary Guidelines, which would
emphasize heavier consumption of protein and healthy fats, a major
(27:59):
ship from the carbohydrate and sugar heavy guidelines seen in
the past. These new guidelines meant to combat the rising
prevalence of obesity and diabetes in America. According to the Secretary,
the guidelines rooted in rigorous science. Join me to discuss.
As National Advisor for Nutrition, Health and Housing at the
US Department of agriculture doctor Ben Carson, doctor, nice to
(28:20):
see you today.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Pleasure to be with you. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I'm sure you did as well. And I'm just a
guy out here in the middle of the country. But
I figured out a long time ago that eleven servings
of pasta and grains a day was a bad idea
over consumption of foods that were highly processed, bad idea invent.
I got a new doctor, not longo, and the first
question she asked me, do you eat highly processed meat?
(28:45):
You know, let's got all that. No, I don't, he said, good,
don't ever eat that stuff. The fact of the matter
is we've given been given a lot of bad information
through my entire life about the food pyramid. It's finally
been changed. How important is this Well, you know.
Speaker 14 (29:01):
The first dietary guidelines were proposed in nineteen eighty forty five,
forty six years ago, and since.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
That time things have not been going well. Obviously we've
got something wrong there.
Speaker 14 (29:14):
Our life expectancy in this country is actually going down
in contrast to other developed nations in Europe and places
like that, where they don't use a lot of these
highly processed foods.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
That's the trouble.
Speaker 14 (29:29):
Our farmers do a good job, you know, they give
us the right kinds of things, but we process them.
We trade high nutrition for convenience, and that's having a
very deleterious effect.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
And we start at a very young age.
Speaker 14 (29:47):
So we've decided, and this is really quite amazing that
you can have multiple federal agencies working together. We meet
at least once a week. We'll talk about how we
can change the narrative and give people the right kind
of information. The dicta or guidelines in the beginning were
to give people information to educate them about what was
(30:11):
good and what was not good for them.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
But we went in completely the wrong direction.
Speaker 14 (30:16):
And that's why kind of a dramatic symbol taking that
pyramid and turning it upside down to say we were
going in exactly the wrong way. It's like an arrow
now pointing to the ground, because that's where it starts.
The nutrition starts in the soil in which our fruits
and vegetables are grown, and it makes a huge shifts.
(30:38):
A bunch of farmers last week they said multipose of
production can be realized by enriching the soil.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Yeah, if you eat real food, you'll have better outcomes.
That's the first serious takeway. I mean, I remember there
was a war on eggs a number of years go.
Eggs had become the big enemy. Remember that. I mean,
I mean eggs were bad. They had cholesterol. Protein does
not spike serum cholesterol sugar does. Anybody that has this
(31:11):
new thing called Google can figure this out.
Speaker 14 (31:13):
Right, Hi, Carbohydrates and you know, processed foods, white bread,
things of those natures do not help us. In the
slightest I've said for a long time, if everybody ate
three well balanced mills, drank six to eight glasses of water,
exercise regularly, got good sleep, and didn't put harmful substances
(31:35):
into their bodies, most people in medicine would be out
of a job.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Having said that, it's a very good career.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Yeah, yeah, it's true. You know, I go back to
the nineteen eighties. My grandmother lived into her nineties, and
back in the nineteen eighties she told me when I
was a kid, she said, I can't eat this bleached
white flour makes me feel ill, It makes me feel bloated.
She knew back then the bleached white flower was a problem.
That was years before people started saying, wait a second,
(32:03):
this is an issue, all this highly processed bleached flowers,
added sugar and everything. I picked up a pack of
bacon recently, I looked at it, added sugar in bacon.
I mean, it's out of control, isn't it.
Speaker 14 (32:16):
It is completely out of control. But we we know
what to do. The question is will we do it?
And I think right now there's a will to do it.
We haven't seen a lot of resistance because.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
It's common sense.
Speaker 14 (32:30):
I think everybody knows that an apple is probably going
to do you a lot more good than a handful
of pretenden ships.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
And this is not to say that you.
Speaker 14 (32:39):
Can't ever indulge in some of the empty calories, but
that shouldn't be the primary thing you're doing. You know,
we've got studies that show that for our young kids,
about half of their calories are empty calories, and we
can't do that to them.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Particularly, that's the time when you're developing your body.
Speaker 14 (32:59):
Your brain starts developing right after conception, millions of neurons
a day later, on billions of neurons today. It continues
to develop until your mid to late twenties. Don't you
want to give it good substance on which to build
it though, and not things that are deleterious. I think
that's one of the reasons we see all the ADHD
(33:21):
and autism. Yeah, they're rapidly expanding, and we can fix this.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
We can fix it. You know, it's interesting, I haven't
heard the term empty calories since my mother used to
say that when I was growing up. She's don't eat
all those empty calories. Must be a Michigan thing, I
don't know, but I hadn't heard that term. But it's true.
You know, the potato chips, they're lovely, they're fun to
crunch on here there, but if you make a steady
habit of that, it's bad. Diabetes, heart disease, obesity, hypertension,
(33:52):
all of these things can be related to what it's
the old adage garbage in, garbage out, we used to
say about computers. But the same thing is true the
human body, isn't it sotly true?
Speaker 2 (34:01):
You are what you eat. And we have to give
our friends a lot of credit.
Speaker 14 (34:07):
We're working with them also on ways to be able
to get you know, the food to the people in
a timely fashion. And maybe even some of the farmers
I talked to last week take preduce directly from the
farm to local schools, and it hasn't lost a lot
of the traditional value at that point makes a huge difference.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
These are things that we can do.
Speaker 14 (34:33):
The thing that we are doing, and I think we're
going to see a dramatic change and the amount of
chronic diseases and obesity.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Give a little bit. Last thing I want to ask
you about. Last thing I want to ask you about
it because you grew up in Detroit and some of
these cities, the big cities in America, they're called food
deserts for a reason. They don't have the access to
the apple you mentioned or the fresh food that's really
important for health. What can we do to change that?
Speaker 14 (35:00):
To you, well, it's going to involve utilizing our transportation
systems and also recognizing that a lot of nutritional value
is found in canned goods. Also, so utilizing those as
opposed to the highly processed foods I think will make
a big difference in teaching children to recognize what our
(35:24):
good foods. With the SNAP program, you know, we've changed
the kinds of things that will be allowed to be
purchased to the SNAP program, And people said, but you're
taking away food choices we're replacing what we've taken away
with twice as much stuff, but things that are more nutritious,
and it will make a big difference.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Well, we'll see how the lobbyists take it, because there's
always political undertones to all of this. But doctor Carson,
it's the right decision, it's the right step. Eat real food.
You are what you eat, sir, Thank you for being here.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Thank you always going to be with you.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Really appreciate it. Don't go anywhere. America's Voice. LIAB will
take a break and be back in just a moment. Well,
the leftists, the liberals are losing their base as they
continually hop on the next trend, in the next trend,
(36:23):
rather than seeing truth. Jesus wherever put America first. Substacker
Matthew Nuriel, a newly defected Democrat, is one of many
who has jumped parties and had this to say about
the Democrats. Listen. So for a long time, I thought
the left was my home.
Speaker 15 (36:41):
They talked about justice and human rights, things I genuinely
believe in, and as someone who's gay, Iranian, Jewish, the
son of immigrants, I thought this was where those values
actually lived. That all fell apart from me in twenty
twenty two, after the murder of Masamini, when I Ringians
were being killed for fighting for basic freedom, and all
of those boys this is that never seemed to shut
up about justice, all of a sudden just seem to disappear.
(37:04):
Then October seventh happened and anti Semitism exploded under the
guise of anti Zionism. Now, watching what's happening you're on today,
watching people risk their lives on the streets, I keep
asking myself the same question I asked in twenty twenty
two and in twenty twenty three, which.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Is where is everybody? Where are they?
Speaker 15 (37:21):
Because the people showing up for Iranians right now are
the ones that left warned us about. The people who
we are told are anti justice are the ones speaking
up for justice in Iran And the ones who is
supposedly the arbiters of justice are completely silent.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Dear Democrats, You're losing your base for a variety of reasons.
There's just another example. Meanwhile, over at Chicken Little News,
the State of the Union host Fake Tapper interviewed Homeland
Security Secretary Christine Noman Sunday discussing Renee Good's attempt to
run over an ICE agent Jonathan Ross, leading to her
(37:56):
suicide by police. Nome absolutely owns him this back and forth,
enjoy doing.
Speaker 7 (38:03):
A disservice to the officer by reaching a conclusion before
the investigation.
Speaker 6 (38:09):
I haven't urge you say once, what a disservice it's
done for Mayor Fry to get up into Ice to
get the f out of his city, AOC to stand
up before she had any of the facts and call
this officer a murderer. For individuals, well call them out, Jake,
spend as much time calling them out. I have provided
you with facts and information to back up every single
(38:30):
word that we have said in every single part of
this investigation. And if you don't like it, that's fine,
but we're going to continue to do the right thing
to keep the American people safe.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Jake, you just got owned, Jake Tables. Jake, she called
you out rightfully, so she could do that too. Much
of the legacy media, because they're dishonest on a daily basis,
an hourly basis. Tell the truth. You'd be a lot
better off. While Republican political strategists in the host of
(39:03):
Brad on Message, Brad Todd appeared on CNN Sunday as well,
to discuss the Renee Good deaths and criticizing the last
continued rhetoric and encouraging obstruction of law enforcement by agitators.
What do you have to say, Well, here's Brad.
Speaker 16 (39:18):
It's a tragedy that Renee Good is dead and we
should all mourn it.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
We should all mourn it.
Speaker 16 (39:22):
We also should look back what went wrong the way
before that. Peggy Flanna again the Lieutenant governor of Minnesota,
encourage people to put their bodies on the line. That
is irresponsible. Democrats are encouraging people to obstruct law enforcement.
They're putting them in harm's way with their rhetoric, and
it's wrong. Republicans shouldn't do it. Democrats shouldn't do it.
We also have a problem that the Minneapolis police are
not allowed to particip to do crowd control. The encounter
(39:44):
between Renee Good and those Ice officer sho shouldn't have happened.
Minneapolis police should have been there as a buffer, but
we don't have it because Minneapolis ordinances prohibit them from
even being there when there's Ice in coordination. We have
to change this, We have to have Christine Ohams said
it this Morning. State and local officials need to help
I steer their job, not encourage people to stop them.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
Boy nailed it again. They must be having hives over
at Chicken Noodle News when they hear truth like that.
They're so allergic to it. Now across this country, hard
working Americans are being crushed by credit card debt. Interest
rates have been at record highs. Families who've always paid
their bills on time are falling behind at rates we
haven't seen in a long time. But there is help.

story that reminds us of just how wonderful America still is.
Plus answers to our America's Voice question of the day,
would you support US military action in Iran? With these
anti regime protests going on for more than two weeks? Now?
Your answers, America when we come back? All right? What
(41:42):
makes America wonderful? We do it every day because I
want to put a smile on your face before you
go on with the rest of your afternoon. Fair today's
story comes to us from the state of Tennessee. Our
family finally got to go ahead and adopt a baby boy.
It's a great story. Anna and Brendan Kohon were actively
involved in the foster care system as they oversaw the
placement of several kids over five years at the Chamblis
(42:04):
Center for Children, and while they were happy to shape
great memories for the children, they knew that they wouldn't
last forever, as most of the kids found a family
wanting to adopt, and they went on with their lives now.
That all changed when they met an eighteen day old
baby boy named Kasa. While the Coons were expecting to
find a family for Kasa, they instead found that over
nine hundred and seventy four days had gone by no
(42:28):
family had decided to adopt the little boy so well.
After a short deliberation approval from the state, the parent
decided to adopt him into their family, ensuring that those
memories could keep right on rolling. Adopting is a tall
task for many, but when a child is able to
find a place to call home, it marks for a
very special occasion. Today reminds us of what makes America wonderful.
(42:50):
Giving people this is what America is, my friends, make
no mistake, all right. Question of the day. Would you
support American military acts in Iran amid the anti regime
protests with hundreds and maybe thousands being killed down to
Farnham Locke, I'd prefer to see military action in Minnesota
and every other blue state that's causing all the trouble.
(43:12):
Let's take care of our country first, Benny step Blackburn, Nope,
America first. Everyone else can make their own country great again.
See a theme developing here. Kim Spielman Hayward, No, we
do not have to get involved in this. Let him
fight it out themselves. We got enough going on in
this country as it is. I'd rather see a lot
of those Democrats in the Senate locked up first, what's
(43:34):
the hold up? Well, then just forgetting to the bottom
of this, Mark Connor Wright, sooner later the US is
going to bite off more than they can chew. Let
them Middle East handle it, which brings us back, by
the way to Monroe doctrine, you take care of your
side of the of the world will take care of ours.
Jorge von Lodono. He was correct on Venezuela, and he
(43:56):
would be on Iran. I wouldn't want troops on the ground, though,
if possible, good news for the whacked out liberals. Go
get your Iran flags. Another reason to act like idiots
on your days off, he said weekend, but really every day.
And Sam Paulsen writes, not our monkeys and not our circus.
Fair point. I see a theme here. I don't know
(44:18):
what's going to happen with Iran, but I will say this,
America has always been the defender of human rights through
my lifetime. People are being slaughtered in the streets by
brutal dictators and killing unarmed civilians. We had a report
of over three thousand killed. I don't know what the
actual number is yet, but we'll see if you're attitude
(44:40):
changes at all. We'll keep an eye on it, and
we'll see what Donald Trump decides to do. Don't forget
to join me first thing in the morning every day
here I'm Real America's Voice for the Steve Grovers Show,
and then back here every afternoon at three for America's
