Ricking Bubba, Rick and Bubba against one h.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Twenty minutes past the hour the Rick and Bubba Show.
We're back. So we do have tickets coming up from
Monday's game.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
So what we're gonna do is we can qualify somebody
any hour, every hour, anyway we want to.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Three or in.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Tiffany Bright was in the drawing, Klay Kennedy and Steve
Mitchell the drawing to be last hour tomorrow on Friday's
Live show, and all of them have got the new
Rick and Bubba CD can't have nothing. So we can
really do it any way we want to at any
point during it. So I'm about to do. Don't y'all
kind of want somebody to win it like.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
That loves the show?
Speaker 5 (00:55):
Yes, what I've got.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
It's just it's gonna be the first person to answer
this right, because you know, Bubba was mentioned like Georgia
Alabama trivia. The only problem is you can google that
kind of stuff. You do Rick and Bubba trivia. You
can't google that. I mean, you got to know it.
And uh so what I was thinking, is this the
first caller at eight six six we be big?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
This is the question.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
What was the name of our very first intern, the
first intern we ever had? And he was he did
he did not finish because his mother thought we were
bad influence on him. What was his name? The first
ever Ricking bubb intern? What was his name? And uh
and if you want to remember, remember all of a
sudden he didn't come back and we're like, what's going on?
(01:38):
He said, well, my mom says you are a bad
influence on me.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
And he wasn't like finish. Do you remember that? Say yes,
Rick and Bubba show, what's your name? Where are you
calling from?
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Donna from Texas?
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Donna from Texas? Do you know the answer to that
Rick and Bubback trivia question?
Speaker 7 (01:52):
I was holding for something else.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
I'm sorry, Oh it's okay, Well it's a good time.
What were you holding for? What was that?
Speaker 8 (01:59):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
What were you hold looking for?
Speaker 6 (02:01):
I wanted to I had a.
Speaker 7 (02:02):
Really quick comment about uber.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
Is it okay if I share that real quickly? Okay?
Speaker 7 (02:09):
This is fact sadly, it's fact. It's not something that's secondhand.
I'm but I know of a young man in his
early thirties who was driving with Uber. I'm not sure
how he got hired, but he was had actually already
been charged with some serious sexual climate that he was
(02:30):
found guilty.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (02:32):
So yes, yes, and this is fact.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
I know this well, a lot of we said, a
lot of this is adjustment for a lot of these people.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
What part of Texas do you live in?
Speaker 7 (02:41):
Well, well, it didn't happen here, but I'm right in
the Waco area.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
I was just trying to make a note of we're
not to get Ober, but but I'm just kidding, but that.
Speaker 7 (02:50):
Actually happened in gosh, it was in Virginia, I believe
it was. I'm trying to remember where he was living
at this story.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
But I think what it is that there's a lot
of back ground stuff now that's being done. And you
see now the competition saying, are our calling.
Speaker 9 (03:04):
Our backgrounds better than there's.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Better than theirs? And then Ober will adjust, It'll all
work out.
Speaker 9 (03:08):
But there's no system full proof.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
No no, no, no, because you can't you can't find
out everything about everybody.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Sometimes people lie to Hi, Rick and Bubba Show what's
your name? Where you're coming from?
Speaker 4 (03:19):
All right, Ryan, do you know the answer to the
tribute question? To be the fourth qualifier.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Would be school closing?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
No, that's not right. No, that's good.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
Good guess that was a great guest. God rest is so, Hi,
Rick and Bubba Show, what's you name? Where you're coming from?
Speaker 3 (03:34):
This is hal I'm calling from Hartville, Alabama? How do
you know the answer? Chad chat is? But now what
Chad was a legend though he was he left Mark
did ever find himself?
Speaker 9 (03:46):
You know if we get reports every now and then,
if he am working some finest restaurants around.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, well I told you the time I saw him
do in a picture when I was in Wilmo. That's Hi,
Rick and Bubba Show, what's your name? Where are you
calling from?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Oh? Paul from Gatson?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Paul? What do you think you're from? Gatson? You should
know this. It was closed though, and I knew that
would be one of.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
The guestses because that's a legitimate guest. But now, Hi,
Rick and Bubba Show, what's your name? Were you calling from?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
That one? Hi? Rick and Bubba Show, what's your name.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
Where you calling from Birmingham?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Stacey?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
What do you think you have the answer, Louie Louis right, we.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Gotta take it, just what we do.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
We gotta take it.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Louis the interim, we didn't even do nick names then
we just used the real name. And his name was
Louis and God love him. And he could not finish
his internship because his mom said, we've become a bad
influence on it.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Can I ask a question, Rick, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Where are you all about influence on anything? Because that
was back in the we work.
Speaker 9 (04:44):
No, not not as much as I think his mom.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Parents thought it was not to that level. But it
wasn't good Okay, yeah, I mean it was. It wasn't
as bad as she thought it was. He was a
little bit you know, sheltered, yes, okay, yeah, but but
it was but you know, that's a big jump to
be shelter, to jump into that show and that in
that day, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
So so you know, her her concerns were legitimate because
you think about this, they've never had an intern program.
They've just now my son's up there was he doing
up there?
Speaker 3 (05:11):
You know?
Speaker 4 (05:11):
So it was all there was a lot of new
beginnings that didn't have a really resumeated look at and
see how it goes.
Speaker 9 (05:15):
We're out throwing biscuits everywhere.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Hey, bottom of the bottom line. She didn't want her
son to be be the first you know, trial and
there again. You know what I mean, you're gonna be
the first intern? This much ever has I don't think so.
All right, well, congratulations, I'm gonna put you on hold.
We're gonna get all your information. You have gotten them,
uh yourself a Rick and Bubba CD can't have nothing,
and now you're qualified to possibly win the tickets tomorrow.
Speaker 10 (05:36):
That is awesome. Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
So you've been listening a long time or did you
just hear us mentioned that one time on the show
and you may note of it.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
It was in your book.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Would be a big book.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
How about that? Look at you, Rick and Bubba knowledge. Okay,
we'll put you on hold.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Thank you very much, Thank you. Did you know what
was in the book? I didn't know.
Speaker 9 (05:54):
We probably we probably no, I don't remember.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Well, we probably did tell the story that first intern
weere ever had there The parents thought we were about influence.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yeah, oh absolutely, yeah. So that was funny though very funny,
And I'm thinking was number two Aaron Boy or Don one?
Aaron Boy was before Don one?
Speaker 9 (06:12):
I think, uh, I think, God, I'd have to think
about it really hard. I think Aaron Boy was two,
Don One was three. I think Cassio probably four somewhere
in there.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
The funny years what people call that was funny?
Speaker 9 (06:29):
That is great.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Well what gets me is that you forget sometimes who
all were interns.
Speaker 9 (06:34):
Yeah, well I was just I was just perusing some
of the pictures on the website, and I really forget.
I mean, according to this we have the picture of
at least one hundred and ninety one.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Really wow, did I tell you?
Speaker 9 (06:48):
And one or two I remember for different reasons. And
that's funny to see that.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Do you remember how something will hit you kind of sideways,
make pippot right there, and it just hits you.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
It just hits you. It's hits you the right way.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Do you remember how Aaron Boy got his name? Do
you really come? But do you remember? I remember hearing
you laughing in the hall.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
I'm in there, g Regule love this dropping a douce okay,
and the door shut and I hear Bubba telling Aaron
Boy whatever his name was then and he was like, hey,
I need you.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
We're gonna need to do this. All sudden, out of
the bathroom.
Speaker 9 (07:17):
I went eron boy er boy boy.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
It locked and that was that's where it came, right
out of the bathroom through the door.
Speaker 9 (07:24):
O my goodness.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
So that was so you never know how people and
then you know, because so Louis said, there.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Was no nickname. I just called you who you really were.
And God loved his little heart. He's he was. He
was a great kid. I don't know what happened.
Speaker 11 (07:37):
I just pulled up a picture of too, but good God,
I love to good.
Speaker 10 (07:57):
You.
Speaker 9 (07:58):
Remember we ran into him at a parking lot of
a fast food place somewhere way off. We were going
somewhere and we didn't recognize him because he lost a bunch.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Of you doing he did.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Don Wan just confirmed with me that Aaron Boy was
the second intern and he was the third. Okay, thanks
d What if he played that country Cuba? You know,
I like said, what's the pursucrears? Adler was an intern.
By the way, do.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
You ever forget that? It hit me hard.
Speaker 9 (08:27):
I look, I still think he is.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I watched one of the old I watched one of
the oldest. Yeah said, that's obvious. I'm not trying to
say that. You know, he's he's looking to get raised.
But I saw him him to go trying to win
these tickets.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
But but the by the way I look at these
prices after right now, the only problem is that we
would have I had to have somebody that had him
with no calls shout.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
I would have to pay to get them too, so
I wouldn't have the winning them. But winning them's way
to go. I got no costs anything.
Speaker 9 (09:01):
You know, I know what some of these interns are
doing down. It's funny just to think back we didn't
have intern show, was that.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
We'll be back five of the Hour or Ricking Bubba.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Next, Ricking Bubba, Ricking Bubba.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
I'd like to reintroduce you to intern the Great Buddy Love,
Buddy Love, the Great Buddy Love, Buddy Love.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
And where are you from. I'm from Hueytown, the pride
of Hueytown, Alabama, the Golden the Great Buddy Love.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Now the Great Buddy Love. I wanted to become an intern,
and one of the things you were wanting us to
do was to work you. You wanted to benefit from
being around other men and and to become more manly.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Is that correct? No, well that's what Greg said. That
was my deal.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
That was that was Greg success.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
I think he just made that up. I don't know
where he got that.
Speaker 9 (09:55):
Right, really, you know, and I don't I want to
aim this properly. I mean, buddy love kind of comes
from the uh you know. I think if I could
speak for her, there we go, or if he walks up,
he might hit you as a librarian. Greg wanted to
(10:15):
turn him into a lumberjack.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
That's right. Okay, we'll probably end up somewhere in between,
which I think would be This whole week is going
to be about that. And this Saturday night we're actually
spending night to subtle cameras meet Buddy loves, one of them,
me and some of then turns and Adam's gonna be there,
femine and we're gonna crank it up. That may explain
his guest today because one of the things Greg said
he wants you to do was to produce this girlfriend
that you claim to have.
Speaker 8 (10:37):
What claims is?
Speaker 3 (10:40):
I know?
Speaker 9 (10:40):
But that that that was that was the thing his cousin,
So did you Buddy Love did you feel like when
you produced a girlfriend that would that would help to
elevate you on the man chart.
Speaker 8 (10:50):
I felt like it was my version of a birth certificate.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
All right, well, we don't even talk to her. To
come up, ma'am, come he can wait? Will you come up?
Come on here? Yeah, come on, no big next time.
I know you don't know him.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
You've been hired to come, but didn't like you've met Brady.
Bunch of fans. Welcome, Jane Glass. Now, so how long
have you and Buddy Love been dating?
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Three years?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Three years?
Speaker 12 (11:18):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Now, how old are you?
Speaker 13 (11:21):
So?
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Since i'ar seventeen? How old are you, ma'am? I'm eighteen eighteen.
Speaker 9 (11:25):
So how did y'all meet?
Speaker 8 (11:27):
We were in the band together.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Okay, all right, what did you play?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Buddy?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
You're being wise by the way. That believable.
Speaker 8 (11:35):
I played trumpet first chair, and she played clarinet.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
You were trumping first. I said first chair because they owned.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
It brass coming together.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
If he would have said clarinet or something like that,
we had to we'd had to work on a different
mon buts trumpet. I live with trumpet.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Uh right, we'd like we'd like seeing drums or make
the quads.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
But but Trump is twenty Trump is not bad Trumps.
You play and what is your name? I'm sorry? The girlfriend?
Speaker 6 (12:01):
Amy?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Amy? Amy? You played first clarinet? So what was it
that you saw and Buddy loved? You thought, Hey, no,
that's a guy like today. I don't know. They just
came up so so he don't know. Was he was
he aggressive?
Speaker 14 (12:16):
Serious?
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Is this like your cousin?
Speaker 3 (12:19):
No, they're gonna have to kiss for me to believe this.
You just said it.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, y'all, go ahead, I said, I said.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
I said that in the kitchen, but I wasn't gonna
say on there.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
We'll all turn our heads.
Speaker 15 (12:38):
Go ahead, go ahead, okay, all right, thank you, all right,
now let's continue.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
And you know what, that's a good one too.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
They did look uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
I was.
Speaker 9 (12:56):
I was watching to be sure there wasn't any of that. Hey,
we've got to pull this off.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
I'll tell you one thing, Grass got Buddy loves the
shirt up here.
Speaker 13 (13:06):
He just went up to not get well, you get
bombarded every day with insults.
Speaker 8 (13:10):
You have to do something that's.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Look, you went up top.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
He get that handshaked down, buddy, Before this is over,
Before this is over, Greg is going to have you
whooped into an over an ice road trucker.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Next up, scratching and spitting. That's the next class.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
That's the next classsing very well?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Was he just skipped one? Oh he jumped away ahead?
Speaker 9 (13:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah that's great. Now, like handshake a little better? So
uh yeah, we're gonna work on that handshaking. We'll get
that though, and get him some ribs too. We need
to get all over his face. So, Buddy Love, what
was this did you found so attractive about it? You
went to click back?
Speaker 12 (13:51):
Just then?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
She's obviously pretty, but I mean.
Speaker 8 (13:54):
She's really smart, okay, and she's the first chair.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Right, so any has no idea what I mean the
best in what they play?
Speaker 2 (14:04):
So?
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Was band camp just too much? Just too much romance?
Singer every day was just more than you can contain?
Speaker 13 (14:11):
When I first passed out, Yeah, that's the first time
I knowed, sir. When she she passed out.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
People will pass out in a second because she saw
Buddy Love.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
But now I tell you what it is. I don't
know who buys this uniform is written by the love buzz.
I mean, I mean some of y'all play in uniforms.
You I want to say. You do realize y'all live
in Alabama, don't you. Y'all y'all need to wear something
a lot cooler that stuff.
Speaker 9 (14:31):
You know, you don't wear that at band camp day.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
You don't.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
You just practice in the.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
Sun and you just wear a short.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
So that's the problem.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
You need to wear it at camp so you don't
pass out on Friday nights. At the beginning of the year,
we'd have two or three pass out first couple of weeks.
Every time, every time, every time we'll breathing in a bag.
Speaker 9 (14:44):
A lot of it is the heat, but I think
to locking your knees, you know, when you have to
stand in any kind of formation.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Well, plus and and blessed. If she's asked to kiss
buddy love, I know it.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
If we get to talk to her. What attracted you
to him? I mean, what was it that? Was it
just love at first sight? Or was it you know,
we y'all friends, you got friend well, y'all, y'all friends
first and then you ended up when you passed out.
Speaker 16 (15:09):
Nobody put out boy. Of all people from this generation,
this aggression, you know. Reason why I say that we
run into a lot of interns. They don't seem to
have the ability to court a young lady at all.
And I mean I'm hearing from her that you you pursued.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Yeah, I guess I didn't really think of you passed
out at band camp and what happened.
Speaker 13 (15:31):
Everybody thought it was another girl she's like because she
looks kind of like another person in the band, and
so she passed out.
Speaker 8 (15:37):
We were all across the field and we're like, was
that Emily?
Speaker 3 (15:40):
And you did you go over to help her?
Speaker 8 (15:42):
That's just first, this is the first time I saw her.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
So that's that girl that passed out. It's not bad looking.
And then so when she was laying there, when she
was laying there in the grass, and you thought, hey,
that's an attractive young lady.
Speaker 8 (15:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (15:56):
So how did how did you? How did you have
your first date? How did that come about?
Speaker 8 (16:01):
I don't remember.
Speaker 13 (16:02):
Yeah, it's been too long ago.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
You got to kiss again first the first and we
had to go on group.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
I work on that story. The first I said, watched something.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
So some group dates started, group dates, group date is outstarted?
Speaker 3 (16:20):
So Amy, what are things that buddy love lies? What
are his interest?
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Mm hmm, you like novels.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I'm sorry, sci fi.
Speaker 8 (16:29):
Novels, fantasy novels, they're different.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Football. Okay, did do y'all watch football together much?
Speaker 10 (16:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (16:37):
He does make me watch football?
Speaker 8 (16:38):
Maker watch watched all the sports.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
He claims he played baseball at some point. I did.
Speaker 8 (16:43):
I played with the broke arm.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (16:45):
What's that? We're just saying?
Speaker 17 (16:47):
You play?
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Yeah? Were you a picture?
Speaker 5 (16:53):
I was?
Speaker 3 (16:54):
He said it was a picture.
Speaker 8 (16:55):
Okay, I'm just just.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
Saying, just saying, well, you probably right now.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
I'm gonna tell you right now. We've got two gloves
right there, right over there.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
I think I haven't played since I was like thirt Wow.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Can I update Greg right now? Because here's the thing, Greg,
here's what we said. We've produced a girlfriend. We've kissed
a girlfriend in front of Speedy yeah, and and the
rest and everybody here. But you agree we needed that,
we she said, She said that he watches all sports.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
But now we mentioned Ribs and he made a sissy face.
He went like, you know, you don't like Ribs.
Speaker 8 (17:25):
It's something about the text or the mean I just
don't get it. I'd rather just need a barbecue sandwich.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Are you American? Look at that? Dreamlands here today and
they can't believe it.
Speaker 8 (17:36):
I'm just saying that their sandwiches.
Speaker 9 (17:40):
Dwich on the bone.
Speaker 8 (17:42):
But you do like barbecue, yes, barbecue, just not rib
just just not ribs.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Okay, Look, I'm just thankful, he said, because they're they're messy.
He didn't say that. He said he didn't like. He said,
they get on my face a mess right, Well, Greg,
what more is he haves to do to tell you? Yes?
Very well? I mean you've taken a huge step today.
Now what's just about your going on to camp at
with Greg? They all are they just buddy.
Speaker 13 (18:06):
I think he's taking me along like a teaching a
thing or two. I'm pretty good at camping.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Are you a good cap? I didn't know. Were you
in the Scouts?
Speaker 11 (18:12):
No?
Speaker 8 (18:12):
I just it's just natural, I guess.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
So say, I got to get back to the chair.
It's some of the new coops coming. I mean, uh,
probably Pap, you can't Rememberdler's bringing his brothers. We're going
to the Sobto caverns. They have camps in the caves
and we're going we're going to experience that and filming
and everything.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Oh my gosh. Yeah, and Buddy Love will be well,
you're a big outdoorsman, right.
Speaker 8 (18:39):
I've done a huge one, but I can hold my own.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
What well this is?
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yeah, this is it's just got all in the world.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, and you have well you throw the baseball with
Hamsey in the break so I can see that too.
Can you Can you start a fire?
Speaker 8 (18:56):
If I have a lighter?
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Can you make a sun dial so we'll know what
time it is?
Speaker 14 (18:59):
What do you need one?
Speaker 8 (19:00):
When you have a cell phone?
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Work?
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Hamping? Can you fish?
Speaker 8 (19:02):
Can you fish?
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Can you hunt?
Speaker 9 (19:05):
Nobody?
Speaker 3 (19:08):
We are that'll have a Ricking Bubba.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Well, we say goodbye gentlemen. Oh boy, I hate Bubba's
not here. How about y'all never see bubb again? I
know we hit he wouldn't here for his last day.
We say goodbye to swim Shady and peg leg Man.
They graduating Ricking Bubba University Today internship complete, Life lessons learned.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
Headed home for the holiday.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
So what what what tell me? Some things you learned?
Speaker 10 (19:38):
Well?
Speaker 17 (19:38):
Learn how to be patient with people? Wow, answering phone
calls about things.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
Life lesson We hear that a lot.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
It's you go out there and you look at people
and you you almost feel like you want to warn them.
I tell people we talked to the public every day,
and they should be gravely concerned. Yeah, so you learn
to be patient. Are you patient? You are more patient
now than when you got here.
Speaker 17 (20:00):
I am more patient.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Mag you how the phones go for you?
Speaker 18 (20:05):
I think it got me out of my shell a
little bit more just like talking to people, because I didn't.
I normally like wouldn't like just like talk to somebody.
But now I'm just like more open to it, I guess.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
So you're not as stuck up as you were. You
have a little trouble with the recorder. What happened with
what happened? What happened with the recorder with a lot
of things. I've never seen a recorder give you by
that hard time? Is it that difficult? There are things
that screen I've never seen creaton.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Figured it out in two hours.
Speaker 6 (20:34):
I figured it out today though.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Well that's good, yeah.
Speaker 18 (20:37):
Because like every time I try to like start it
in the morning, it would do this like squiggly line thing.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
You're the only person that's ever pulled that.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
I think it's because I clicked on something wrong and
then today.
Speaker 19 (20:48):
Anything and I just would be like, speedy, do we
need this file? I'm like, it's okay, go ask Greg
make sure I would not like act like that.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Sorry. Right, So were both of you familiar with the
show before you started working here? Yes?
Speaker 6 (21:07):
Yeah, I was a little a little bit.
Speaker 18 (21:11):
Hannah because Hannah got over the summer, so then I
was aware of it.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
That didn't count. So you swim shady you were familiar
with it. It's obvious.
Speaker 17 (21:19):
Peg was semester when I was interning at Bruno event
I know that, like y'all him, So I kind of
like heard about y'all.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
What's more difficult working here?
Speaker 17 (21:29):
Bruno eventing definitely here with Greg.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Made you made Geene Harman look told him, Wow, I
think that's one of Adler's lines.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
So what about you, Peg? You so you had the show,
you didn't know what it was like, so you had
nothing to base that on.
Speaker 18 (21:47):
Yeah, I mean my dad, I knew my dad listened
to it before, but I haven't listened.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
To it before.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
So does he enjoyed you interning here? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (21:54):
He has. Yeah, he did call in. I think it
was the day they went to Washington and it was
just you and Helmsey.
Speaker 20 (22:01):
Yep, he did, and they call the radio gods that
the day.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Said something referred to it is funny. Fun that's so funny.
So swim Shady was the show the way you thought
it would be for you with your little exposure to it.
Speaker 17 (22:21):
Yeah, once you got in, I mean it was cool
to see how like a live broadcast works. There's a
lot that goes into it.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
So where are you? What are you both going to
do next? What's next for you?
Speaker 17 (22:30):
Who?
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Really? Are you done with school? Do you have any
more school left?
Speaker 14 (22:33):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (22:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Really?
Speaker 10 (22:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (22:35):
I have a final at three thirty today, the day Spanish.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Done. Do you think you did well on them?
Speaker 6 (22:45):
We'll see. I think I passed, We'll see.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
We'll see. I worry about that after Christmas.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
This morning you came in talking about how Mary Pike
over there didn't need to be studying this hard because
it was easy.
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Because it was Spanish.
Speaker 18 (23:00):
Spanish is hard, Yeah, but the exams are always easier
than like the regular test.
Speaker 8 (23:06):
So I never studied for this.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Never study for your final.
Speaker 6 (23:09):
Hey, I got an A in Spanish?
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Can you roall some out?
Speaker 4 (23:13):
I know.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
That was more like I know the one who got
a nail? Yeah, and you can't say it right? Give
us a little, can you? Is it easier for you
to understand it if someone's talking Spanish to you, or
do you have to read it? I can read what
if you were dropped into Mexico right now? Could you
talk your way back home?
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Probably not? I can say, may, I'm a million and
that's my name?
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Is you really got the accent down? Listen? Listen?
Speaker 4 (23:42):
If you made an a, my goodness, permitted? Could I
could smell the salt coming off the water? Wait just
a minute, so you made an a? Do we think
we should change the test? I mean this person made
an Yeah, you can't can't do I can say Miami peg.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
You know he said you don't even know what that was?
You cam, y'all didn't realize he was flood? Do you
have no idea?
Speaker 6 (24:18):
Our moms?
Speaker 5 (24:19):
You should know that you have to hear him preach
in Spanish.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
But I did not get an a on like the
speaking part of the class.
Speaker 17 (24:28):
Now I got like a I can't understand anything somebody
says in Spanish.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
You do know the whole reason you try to learn
the foreign language. You can understand it when people say
you can actually communicate with him.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Yeah, that's the whole that's the whole reason tensions.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
You got to test it so much about EDUCATIONALA.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
Hey, I I hadn't seen to speak in Spanish for
my test, though I know.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
We can you imagine you said I'm in a on
my math test? I said, what's nine times nine?
Speaker 14 (24:56):
You?
Speaker 3 (24:57):
I don't know what is that? Oh my god, that's
had to be a math measure. That's like fourth grade?
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Greg, Greg, do you realize that Peg got that answer
like somebody who sunk a half court shop. You guys
did a great job going intern world here for a minute.
Hash Brown Hero is our current intern at Rickingbub University,
(25:35):
and he is our soul fall intern. We we've we've struggled. Well,
there's just the way things operate. Most of the people
that would want to intern here, if they're in school
in the fall, they're so far away it's impossible for
them to be at work. And the ones that are
more local, Uh that that that that operation and that
(25:56):
system we're working on, it is not really running very smoothly.
Speaker 5 (25:59):
It's well they're actually restructure restructured everything right, so.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Well it'll it'll change going forward.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
But if you think about it, while school's in session,
you really don't have access to people that can drive
here from school and be tough.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Somebody going to Oklahoma to intern d in the fall,
wouldn't it. But anyway, so it required dedication, it really would.
Speaker 13 (26:18):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
So Hash Brown hero uh is is currently interning with
us and yesterday Uh, and we'll handle this very delicate situation.
Speaker 10 (26:30):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
He was telling a story that really caused us to cringe.
Speaker 19 (26:35):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (26:36):
It was and I think a public service here to
pay attention to this.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Yeah, this is important because this there's a lot of
people that there's there's a lot of blisters that are
not gonna take place if you'll just listen, because I've
actually I've in the in the times when I was
working with this kind of equipment. They were not they
were not these blowers that blow stuff off the you know,
out of it was actually the same type set up,
(26:59):
but it would be like with a really heavy duty
weed eater or would have a blade on the end
of it where you cut small trees down. I'm familiar
with that, so I've dealt with the I've got something
on me that is like a jacket or a backpack,
and the backpack is an engine.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Yes, I've been heavy and you Hash Brown found yourself
in that situation. Yes, I did, so tell us what happened.
Speaker 21 (27:22):
So well, Okay, when I get off of work with
you guys in the afternoon, I go work for like
a field maintenance kind of landscape job. And this particular day,
which was I guess two days ago, now, I was
just working on a baseball field and I was in
the I was in one of the bullpens and I
was just kind of cleaning it out. I was weed
eating it, and then my plan was to get the
(27:43):
backpack blower and just clean it out. Well, I had
I had the backpack blower up on a little little wall,
kind of little platform, so I could just crank it
up real quick. So I gave it one crank and
it didn't start. So I was like, all right, I'll
put a little harder, and I pulled a little harder
and it kind of started coming off the wall a
little bit, so I kind of had to catch it.
And all these backpack blowers, like you said, they're engines basically,
(28:05):
so they have exhaust pipes.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
You're wearing a backpack that is an engine, Yeah, it
has has a muffler and exhaust. Yes, And obviously at
this time you don't have it own you have it.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
No, it's just a front eye.
Speaker 12 (28:15):
Right right right. So yeah, so it has an exhaust pipe,
and obviously it's really hot.
Speaker 21 (28:21):
So I kind of pulled it off and I had
to kind of readjust my body and catch it a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 21 (28:26):
You see, when I caught it, that exhaust pipe, it
didn't land in the most ideal place.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
It was in a very sensitive area put it that way.
So yeah, it was still hot, I guess from and so.
Speaker 21 (28:38):
Yeah, the thing is, uh, when for this this particular
backpack blur, it's kind of got a little problem. So
when you crank it up, it's full blast already, oh
is it? Yeah, it just starts going as hard as
it can. So I was trying to kind of readjust
it on the handle while this whole exhaust pipe was
just leaning into the area.
Speaker 12 (28:56):
Yes. So anyways, I have my shorts here that we
have them.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
They're here.
Speaker 21 (29:01):
I have the evidence and you can't really see it
in the camera, but there's literally a hole.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Oh my where wow? Look where the hole is? Wow?
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Wow.
Speaker 12 (29:11):
Burned through the shorts and it through the underwear.
Speaker 9 (29:16):
I noticed the skin it melted the around it.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
You said to the skin to the skin, to your
leg or to the sensitive area.
Speaker 12 (29:26):
The sensitive area.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
My goodness, Well that takes spiral dogs to again, I
mean so so so, I mean and it was I mean,
I mean, it's not good.
Speaker 21 (29:37):
And it was a matter of like two three seconds,
obviously because it's so hot. I was, I was rejusting
the handle and all of a sudden I knew I'm
getting burned.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
And it was real hot. And it takes a second.
Speaker 21 (29:46):
Yeah, it took two or three seconds just to get
through the shorts. And here's in the underwear, the material, the.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Material your shorts is made out of.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Because when I used to work in the power come,
you had to work cotton because cotton will just burn
on the way.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
But what you had this is like stereo melt.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Yeah yeah, it just goes.
Speaker 17 (30:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, It's like I never knew that's why they made
you worthy of cutting.
Speaker 21 (30:07):
So just burned the shorts right now, It's like it
feels like, yeah, singed, like caught her eye.
Speaker 9 (30:12):
Yeah, when you weeded, I've heard of putting you back
into it, but I like this is a little ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
Right, So really what happened was when this backpack engine
that had been running obviously hot.
Speaker 9 (30:23):
And so when when you don't take long, like I
said it, I mean immediately it's putting out some hotty.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
So when it fell off the wall, you almost caught
it like you'd hugged somebody, right. I just had to
kind of like yeah, and now you got it, and
you're trying not to break the equipment, which I appreciate
that if I was your employer.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
But now the mufflers saying hello to you.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Yeah, now, let me ask you this.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
I mean, it is any kind of treatment this? Did
you have to have anybody look at it?
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (30:46):
Could we?
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Well?
Speaker 21 (30:47):
I was out with somebody and he was like fifty
yards away kind of edging the infield of the baseball field.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
And he saw me when we heard when it happened.
Speaker 12 (30:55):
Oh no, and he was like, I don't know what
was going over there. I was jumping around.
Speaker 21 (31:00):
So you hugged what you did? I basically hugged the blower,
trying to readjust the handle.
Speaker 12 (31:05):
Meanwhile it's burning through my shorts.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
And you know, after a close call like that, and
you're you're assessing the damage. This is where this is
where you have no friends. Yeah, come here a second.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Now you're.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Good good news. Back at our little like our little
equipment shop or whatever, we had, we had a fridge.
Speaker 12 (31:30):
We had a fridge and a freezer, and we had
some frozen peas in there.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Oh good, that's that was haul. I bet I bet
that was That was one of form fitting. So we'll
just we'll just say chatter.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
Are you saying at the mat in the shop you
keep frozen peas.
Speaker 21 (31:42):
And no, no, we just had we just had a
fridge that also obviously, Yeah, it's well, it brings peace
to the office and put upstairs.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
It is a great, no doubt, form fitting, especially in
that area.
Speaker 21 (31:55):
Yeah, the upstairs of our little shop is like kind
of like an h R place or some some other people.
Speaker 12 (32:01):
So they have like a little kitchen up there.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
So you have no skin grafts or anything they're gonna
have to do.
Speaker 21 (32:05):
You're gonna be I would just say, there's a little blister,
not very comfortable area.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Can you show me the walk?
Speaker 5 (32:11):
The walk?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Yeah, I didn't walk, I just sat down and put
it there.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
This is what. Look, you end up with a blister
from this type of injury, you have to I mean,
you can't be a tiny whitey person. You gotta you
gotta go to boxers, and you can't be those top bombers.
Now loose is crucial. That could have it could have
been worse.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Yeah, worse.
Speaker 9 (32:34):
I was really scared for you.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
There's that.
Speaker 12 (32:40):
I was really scared for a second that I just
lost my chance of having kids.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
That's legitimate, legitimate concern.
Speaker 12 (32:46):
I didn't know what all it got down there.
Speaker 9 (32:48):
You gotta be Yeah, motors are dangerous, Yeah they are.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Notice if I've gone got on you know, a pair
of shorts and nothing protective, don't motors or let me
tell you give you a advice next time we're a cup, Well,
next time I'm to cause worse trouble that had become
plastic melt.
Speaker 9 (33:07):
Let me ask you this, because you had to deal
with this in a safety aspect. Did y'all have rules
when you dealt all that kind of stuff about how
you cranked it and put I mean we used to
have somebody else cranked.
Speaker 21 (33:18):
Yeah, right, Well, I was about to say what Greg
was about to say, is it like this wasn't the
first time I used to but the backpack blood and
usually I just had it on the ground, which I
didn't this time.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
I just kind of had you you were tired, didn't
want to bend down.
Speaker 12 (33:32):
I was like, I need to crank it a little harder.
I cranked a little too hard.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
What happened? Fire down below?
Speaker 12 (33:39):
A fire down under?
Speaker 3 (33:40):
No, it's not good, it's not great.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
That's on the list of bad.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
How about when your brain tries to process, so this
is happening right now? Sometimes, my god, I didn't want
to look you know, no, you don't want to love
that after.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
That first look? Is that first look is a very
That's a lot of anxiety.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
That Ricking Bubba. Ricking Bubba, the.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
New intern that works Mainland Internet department informed us that
he he has trouble sleeping and falls asleep and even
found out later Bud, but did you know that they
actually had a note from the doctor where when he
was in school he was prescribed naps. Did you know
that if I could have pulled it off the school.
Speaker 9 (34:20):
It kind I took a few naps, but I got
in trouble for mine and see I had sleep apnea too,
I just didn't know it. I also was told yesterday
that he was stopped by the police one time and
he didn't have anything on but his underwear.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
I'll get out of here. Well, now, look, let's don't
stand in joy easy.
Speaker 9 (34:37):
I'm just telling you.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
Look, that's what I have not been driving over.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
So if we would have showed up at school with
a patch on the RIGHTE would have got to have
schedule this.
Speaker 9 (34:44):
Yes, it's just a simple yes or no answer. I
would like to ask old Man Shanahan has he ever
been pulled over by the police and he had nothing
on but underwear?
Speaker 3 (34:54):
I mean, hang on, hang out, what's his thing? Listen?
Speaker 9 (34:57):
Under we got to bring get Your Get Your theme music.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
We hadn't got it on hot key yet.
Speaker 9 (35:03):
And on the bank there it is.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
We got one called old Gross So I can come
back here. Yes he does, all right, So here is
intern Old Man Shanahan. Deal man.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Down.
Speaker 19 (35:18):
All right?
Speaker 3 (35:18):
So you you were driving in your underwear?
Speaker 5 (35:21):
That is true?
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Why, well what happened? Because I was too one time?
But I can't answer that question. I'm not going to here.
But but I mean, so you how did it happen? Well,
I was wearing a pair of shorts.
Speaker 14 (35:32):
There were probably a couple of sizes too big, and uh,
I've been pulling them up all day and I was
getting tired of it. So I was leaving my girlfriend's
house and I ran in my truck and the air
about fall down as I'm running down, So I just
take them off and throw them over in the passenger seat.
And uh, you know, there was one less step when
I got home before I get in the bed, because
it's already a little tired. So, uh, I'm almost home.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
I'm probably.
Speaker 14 (35:53):
I'm probably, you know, maybe less than am off from
my house. And I see the blue lights come on
behind me. The same thing there, which is standard any
time you're at driving. You're swerving, So you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Get how many times you've been pulled over? About twenty
five for cause always thinking that something's wrong because you
keep I mean, do you realize you're about to wreck?
That's very dangerous.
Speaker 14 (36:11):
Yeah, I've never got a ticket.
Speaker 9 (36:12):
We're gonna pull you out and beat you. I mean seriously.
Speaker 14 (36:15):
So my brilliant thinking as I start to panic because
all I'm wearing is my boxers, like I said, right,
and uh and the cop, you know, the cop gets
out of the out of the car and he's headed
towards my truck, and what am I gonna do? So
I decided to get the shorts on good side to
lay them over my lap like I'm still wearing them.
And that worked good until he said, let me see
your insurance, and I had to lean over, you know,
and he got a full moon.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Oh boy, so let me let me see you.
Speaker 9 (36:39):
You've been You've been caught by the police twenty five
times for swerving. You've been caught with your pants off.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Uh all cast some lack of sleep, you have been caught.
I mean you used to wear a patch over you.
It's cross out for three much to do that.
Speaker 9 (36:54):
I mean, so you you're kind of like a pantsless
pirate driving around town.
Speaker 17 (36:58):
I mean.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Cross side passes.
Speaker 9 (37:01):
Fir if you got a patch on, How do you
know if you're cross eided? I mean you just it
canna be a wandering eye.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
I don't know, so uh anyway, I just want him
to know this.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
There are farmers in Taiwan that claim that there are
wind turbans, you know, because we have to have wind energy.
That's that are too loud and the goats are not
getting sleep, and four hundred goats have died for lack
of sleep.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
That's that green power for you. Hope everybody's happy.
Speaker 9 (37:26):
Goat desk on your hands that's right.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
So anyway, old man Shanahan, the next time we interview,
you don't leave stuff like this out. Yeah, really, this
is gracious, I know.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
All right, let me ask you this. This is a
loaded question.
Speaker 9 (37:40):
Is there anything else we need to know at this point?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Man?
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Probably? But uh, are you gonna get something done about
the sleep thing?
Speaker 14 (37:47):
I am Actually somebody called the show yesterday to talk
to me. I thought the phone screening room from a you.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Fell asleep about halfway through it didn't hear.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (37:56):
I thought I thought you were gonna have to wrap
this up. I'm gonna a little sleep.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
When you were in Scoo, they prescribed naps for you.
Speaker 14 (38:02):
Yeah, because it was it was because of my eye
that what they thought was wrong was my ligament was
stretched to my eyes. That's when my eyes went crossed.
Speaker 9 (38:10):
So now Greg told me yesterday that it happened when
you fell down a whale.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
Is that not right?
Speaker 9 (38:17):
And then yeah, you will kicked you in straight in
the mind.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Or were you pretending to be CROSSI they stuck that one.
I always warned.
Speaker 14 (38:25):
I don't know, but uh, yeah, every day at school,
during I think sixth period, I got to go and
lay on a bean bag.
Speaker 9 (38:32):
I thought, unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
See, that's so much easier than just putting your head down.
Speaker 9 (38:38):
You know what, at my school would have been laughed
at if you even tried to pull that, because I did.
Speaker 14 (38:43):
Did you actually sleep though, oh man, like a baby.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
I slipped through.
Speaker 14 (38:47):
I slip through seventh period on and pass foot through
football practice. I had to wake up. I have to
run over the football field and have to run for
I was sleeping.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
And when he played football, they only went on the
first sound maybe one, but they never went on to
because they said, hey, you can't make it three, he's
already fell offside. Okay, look at us, old man, say
we're going on first sound. If you can just hold
that stance for just a minute. What position did you play.
Speaker 14 (39:17):
A lot of rid on the bench, you know, over
on the wood, and there's no back on that thing.
I was Kingwood Christian School's best long snapper.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
You will say now that you could have snapped and
Charles could have kicked it. That's right, great, so you did.
Speaker 4 (39:30):
I need to see that, by the way, while he
snapping and Charles need that because Charles is doing air
kick at any given request.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Did he do it? For the audience to yeses. He
thinks he's pulled his hanmy did he do did high?
Speaker 18 (39:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (39:43):
He went for the high snap, had to pun it.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
He needs to stretch before he does that.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
The long snapping, cross eyed, patch wearing narc elliptic, my goodness,
and we can't really dangerous driving.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Old man Shanahan covers all of it. Really, he really
should be named that.
Speaker 9 (40:02):
Yeah, you need it as one sleep apnea to another.
You need to have that check.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Well he's gonna do. He's killing myself. I know what
I mean. If you don't, if you think it will
kill goats.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
You'll regie what Look at what a great athlete he was.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
Mister serious. I can't believe anybody to let it go
on the.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
Song frankly, Yeah, I'm gonna get a check.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
I'm all surprised to let you stay asleep in his
on his bean back.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
That's my mom.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
Do we need to prescribed you a nap? Time?
Speaker 9 (40:29):
Here?
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Are you goody? Is it straight? Are you holding? Are
you holding it together?
Speaker 10 (40:33):
Here?
Speaker 17 (40:34):
So far?
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Sleep? Look me see if you look like rusty?
Speaker 21 (40:37):
No, you.
Speaker 14 (40:40):
You get a nap every day when I get hold.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
Get pulled into that the same what's heard us? Okay,
thank you, Coye Joe.
Speaker 5 (40:52):
What's Greg so nervous? Well, uh, you know we're we're
gonna be talking.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Kind of makes our sleeping eating story.
Speaker 9 (41:06):
Yeah, we we've got some other stories were apparently we're
not gonna get to. Yeah, I couldn't help. But notice
we have a new intern yah r R.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Norton officially an he's going through the first step of
being one. And uh he uh uh you know goes
to Westwood Baptist Church where and we serve together and
and oh goes to your church? Yeah, and uh and
he and I were talking and he was looking for
the opportunity. Where did you just say you went to
the church west Wood Baptist Church? Almost certain you said
first Baptist Church. You soon, I know it's not the
(41:38):
name of your church.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
I met you were thinking about what Greg handle Greg's
in I might have been here. I mean, you're not nervous.
You're not nervous for But.
Speaker 9 (41:46):
As we talked to the intern in the break a
minute ago, we were all fair and what your name
Ry Ryan Horton? And I ask you if I if
we how we knew you? Because I thought you may
be the son of somebody else, said, I know you're not,
but because your name just rung a bell with me.
But then you told us that your mom actually went
(42:07):

Speaker 4 (42:09):
Right, yes, sir, mm hmm, go big and and and

does that make you feel strange?
Speaker 8 (42:37):
It is?
Speaker 5 (42:39):
How about this? It makes us feel strong?
Speaker 3 (42:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (42:41):
Yeah, I mean I bet it makes a Greg.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
I mean, I know it was junior high and that's
cute and precious, but it's it does make you feel
little weird, doesn't it?
Speaker 9 (42:47):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Come on?
Speaker 5 (42:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (42:49):
By the way, I was a natural bond between I'm
going to bring in a picture of Greg and your
mom when when she won homecoming queen. There's a picture
of it in the annual. So does your By the way,
that's getting so big Greg, are you trying to tell
Rick through your eyes?
Speaker 4 (43:03):
I've known, we knew each other our whole lives. I mean,
you're making a big deal without wearing friends through scooting fact.
She was a very good student and probably helped me
past a few classes.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
There you go, there you go, Ryan, Well how's your
how's your mom doing?
Speaker 14 (43:15):
Now she's doing well, So we tell you she's a
good three hundred and fifty pounds about four foot five.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
Yeah, that's funny. Greg, start thinking, that's not how I remembered.
I thought she did better than I did, right, Yeah,
she maybe she mus worked. Here is that it? She's
saying that to make you and I feel better?
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Yeah, but a funny because they were on me for
a ghost of girlfriends past the movie.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
But you know, now the situation with you is a
little different. No, it's alos a lot. I don't die,
I don't think, so a lot different. And then here
comes walking in Ryan's Okay.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
But it was it was funny and the new intern
was coming to day. Greg is, Greg is all over speedy. Okay,
this guy comes in and all of a sudden the
first thing and all of a sudden, But you are
trying to make a big deal. I mean it's tender
and mild. It would be like an in turn being here.
That was, you know, the child of the girl that
(44:09):
you know that that put that Valentine in Bubba's you
know Valentine man, you know, and gave it, gave you
a lock of her hair. I mean, sweet, you know,
nothing happened to bub And he's told that pressure story.
Speaker 17 (44:20):
Man.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
You know when you're when you're your little kids and
you got that little you just you know, the and
and it was just tender and mild, just like chicken.
That's right. But it is a small world.
Speaker 5 (44:29):
I will say that it was just precious and he's
just smaller.
Speaker 9 (44:34):
And you never told me that.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
I'm sorry, did not tell you?
Speaker 12 (44:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (44:37):
So now now so you go to church with Speedy.
So you saw him Easter?
Speaker 4 (44:41):

Speaker 9 (44:59):
Who is it?
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Oh ahead of guy that looks like Speedy, right like
Deacon Wilbury. You know, please don't listen to daddy. I mean.
Speaker 9 (45:10):
I've never seen two dogs get hit by a car
and they fight each other.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
I mean, you, I don't I feel like we could
get hit injured just by studying. I'm Deacon wilbur Imer.
Speaker 4 (45:23):
Ryan Greenwood is missing this. And imagine, let me tell
you what. Ryan has heard every bit of this and
he can't physically get in there.
Speaker 5 (45:29):
Yeah, yeah, I bet he's in the hall laying down.
Speaker 20 (45:33):
I think that's great. Right, And you know, if you like,
why are you all trying to do this? You always
try to find something to end Well. I think that's great. Okay,
let's wrap it up. Never speak of it again. No, yeah,
we just hate You're right? And I mean a friend
for many years and all that. I mean, look, you
cheated off for paper and got out of a company.
Speaker 4 (45:53):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
You definitely want to sit behind her because she had
all the right ans. Are you intelligent like your mom?
Speaker 12 (45:58):
Unfortunately?
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Oh yet he is.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
He's very one thing I love about Ryan. He's extremely dependable. Okay,
and he's a hard work so he's gonna do fine.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
Well, he won't fit in here at all. Now what
are you doing? Why do you think I quit one
of them jobs to come here?
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Boy?
Speaker 3 (46:14):
Greg y. You know what, right out of the top,
off the top of my head, how can we not
name him? Warton? Here's who?
Speaker 9 (46:18):
Yeah, I know I like that.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
It's coming. Yeah, that Horton, here's who?
Speaker 4 (46:24):
What other?
Speaker 3 (46:26):
What's that dick? What you got over? Let's call him,
let's call him son that he has no idea where
the line is? He called him all Paul, the only
person in the whole room that's trying to be that
ways him the old dec over. So what I tell you?
(46:48):
They don't resemble them, does it? He ain't leaveing the
singing now he's throwing darks. I'm joking.
Speaker 4 (46:57):
Good gracious, Ryan is good to have you here, man,
Thank you, Horton, and they tell you mine. We said, hey,
we'll be uh, we'll take your break. Some of you
are leaving us now, and I know you're thankful by Greg.
Right by the way, Greg, don't trip over Ryan, who's
lying in the hall.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
Ricking bubba, ricking bubba.
Speaker 4 (47:23):
Since we just had Super Bama fan, Dicky called the show.
We have some new interns, one that's been here a while.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
And you guys were asking us questions about about this caller, right,
what were you asking?
Speaker 6 (47:40):
We just wanted to know who he was.
Speaker 10 (47:42):
I don't really mind that much because I think super
fans it and really something I want to get into.
I think if football can change your mood this much,
then it's something that you're putting way too high up
on your list.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
So y'all, y'all didn't know that he's been calling the
show for years. See, and I've.
Speaker 10 (47:57):
Listened for a little while, but I guess I don't know.
I guess since it was just on the way to school,
I wouldn't listen for like the whole five hours or whatever.
Speaker 4 (48:06):
You met him while you were here? No, do you
think he's too over the top. He needs to let
go a little bit.
Speaker 10 (48:14):
Hey, I don't know Dicky personally, so he might just
really enjoy football.
Speaker 22 (48:18):
But you're sweeter than me. He sounds a little loco
and the Coco.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
You know.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
Okay, I have no idea who it is.
Speaker 9 (48:27):
I don't know who he is.
Speaker 5 (48:28):
We just heard him on the phone with He sounds
like he really gets into this.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
I drops, Judy, you've been here. How long?
Speaker 22 (48:34):
This will be my second semester so like a year
is Yeah, no idea, But in my defense, when I
was here last spring, it wasn't like football season.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
So yeah, so you'll know how we met him. I'd
love to know, right, so you have no idea?
Speaker 22 (48:55):
Also, I know it's okay, i't anymore in the defense,
in the defense of the interns, sweet sweet Hailey suit
she is a faithful, a faithful fan, devout listener. And
the fact that she had school at a certain time
(49:15):
when perhaps this dicky person called, it's it's not her fault. I,
on the other hand, I'm not from this here areare?
Speaker 5 (49:27):
And really, honestly, the longer she's here.
Speaker 4 (49:29):
Well, you know, some people don't even have maps, so
we don't we So you guys want to know the
history we have?
Speaker 3 (49:39):
And do you think this person is over the top.
Speaker 10 (49:41):
With Yes, he sounds a little bit, but maybe he
just thinks it's really fun and that's good.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
But now, did you scream him when he called? Did
y'all answer the phone?
Speaker 6 (49:49):
I hadn't.
Speaker 10 (49:50):
I was living in Golden Ticket.
Speaker 6 (49:52):
I think I didn't.
Speaker 5 (49:54):
I think did Jupiter? Where are you from? Just so
everybody has a geographic idea, I am from.
Speaker 22 (50:01):
West Palm Beach, Florida. It is an hour north of Miami,
so way way down there, A long.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
Way to go yeses, So okay, Well, we didn't know,
y'all didn't know the history of it.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
We thought that you, especially working here, especially you because
he's called your daddy, never told you about him, super fan.
Speaker 9 (50:20):
I guess not.
Speaker 6 (50:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
I feel I feel bad, I feel like a fake now,
But I don't know. I just don't.
Speaker 22 (50:29):
I mean, out of all the amazing things that are
talked about on the show, if that's the one thing
that we as interns aren't as educated in, I feel
like we're doing pretty.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Well down.
Speaker 14 (50:43):
The football talk too.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
Right, some of the football talk, it's a little did.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
You I would just like to point out, was there
anything different with the last segment than than.
Speaker 22 (50:56):
Not?
Speaker 3 (50:57):
A good question?
Speaker 10 (50:58):
Well, since I'm from here, your I know that this
is like a saying hated people, But the every three
seconds it was a little just living it.
Speaker 5 (51:08):
Nothing else else for studio and hearing different.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Oh, I don't know nothing during the last segment. Nothing
you looking here, like? How do you think I feel
about this? This super fan? I couldn't see you couldn't
see me. I wonder why you couldn't see me? Oh?
You left you not like you?
Speaker 6 (51:30):
You aren't.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
You don't like him.
Speaker 10 (51:34):
Yeah, oh my gosh, wow, Okay, I was wondering maybe
I have to go to the bathroom or something.
Speaker 3 (51:42):
I don't know, but you were going on purpose, so
just keep up.
Speaker 5 (51:49):
So speedy, are you?
Speaker 3 (51:50):
Are you a fan of this fan? Are you?
Speaker 1 (51:54):
But Rick had stepped out, so I needed to go
run to Rick and he didn't like Yeah, he refused
to talk to I won't talk to you.
Speaker 22 (52:01):
Do you not like to engage with those that don't
appreciate your team?
Speaker 10 (52:06):
I can kind of make you close it off a
little bit, you know, more open minded.
Speaker 22 (52:10):
But honesty is the best policy. So the fact that
you can admit that, yes, right.
Speaker 14 (52:15):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (52:16):
Well, I mean I won't tell you something. I mean
I like the Tide and I'm going on that craze
and I'm gonna tell you something. I can't wait him.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
Road tag. Hey, you couldn't have scripted that, no job.
Speaker 2 (52:43):
And have been allowed ladies freaking Bubba, Rick and Bubba.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
