Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, it's speedy, and this is Rick and Bubba's Greatest
tits flashing back through thirty one years of radio gold
every Saturday morning, wherever you get your podcast, it's Rick
and Bubba's Greatest.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Tis Ricking Bubba, Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Hi, Rick and Bubba. We're in the East Wing of
the White House here with the forty fifth President of
the United States of America, Donald Trump.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Pretty fancy place, right, I'm very not very not so bad.
You've come a long way.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
We lock the cookies too, Yeah, I got good cooks.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Here, that's true.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Thank you for lunch. Lunch, what's fantastic?

Speaker 5 (00:32):
What do you normally? Do you eat a lot?

Speaker 6 (00:33):
Do you?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
What do you ask for lunch?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Well, I don't have much time to eat.

Speaker 7 (00:36):
We're trying to pass tax cuts now and we've got
all sorts of things lined up tomorrow ahead for China
and Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Other than that, it won't be very busy, right.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
Question, Well, let's talk about it.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
The tax plan. We've been talking to some of the
different members of your administration, and there seems to be
a lot of optimism about it. Of course, the economy's
doing great even before this. The corporate tax cut can
only make things better.

Speaker 7 (01:00):
Well, we're doing great as an economy. We're having tremendous numbers,
tremendous stock market numbers.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Every day, we're hitting new highs.

Speaker 7 (01:07):
And the tax cuts but are really needed to really
make this country take off like it should.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
The tax cuts are going to be very important, and
I think they're going to happen.

Speaker 7 (01:15):
This tremendous spirit in the Republican Party and I can
tell you the Democrats are were you know, they're obstructionists
and they're worried about it. But I think we're going
to I think we're going to do fantastically well, both
in the Senate.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
And in the House.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Can you get it through that's the key, I think so.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, I think so. I think that there is.

Speaker 7 (01:31):
For instance, we were really there on healthcare and then
we got a surprise, and we're going to come back
to healthcare right after the over and we're going to
get that done. But I will say that I think
there's I mean, you guys know as well as I do.
You see what's going on. This tremendous spirit to get
the tax cuts.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yes, yes, there's a lot of energy out there and
tremendous daring. The campaign, when you said you could produce
three percent growth, you were scoffed at, and there it was.
We just had a three point one, right.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
So we've already hit it. We had three point two
and now we have three. And the three is in
a tough season because we had hurricanes. We had really
five hurricanes, I mean bad ones, as you know, probably
better than I do, yes, And that's supposed to be
a point that would mean we would have hit four.
So we had a GDP of three point two and
three in the last two quarters, and most people didn't

(02:21):
think we were going to be there for three years.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
So a lot of it is the.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
Fact that I cut the regulations and the companies are
already starting to really get back to work.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Regulations have been very seriously cut.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
There's a lot of small business that want to reinvest,
they want to move forward with them. They've been scared
because I know.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
What they're ready to rock, and this country is ready
to rock.

Speaker 7 (02:43):
And don't forget other countries have GDP at eleven, twelve, thirteen,
six seven. We were at one point two when I
came in, and it's just not acceptable. And now we're
up to three and each point in GDP is two
point five billion dollars. That's more money than we're talking
about to a large extent for tax cuts. I mean,

(03:05):
that's actually more money than we're to. One point makes
a tremendous difference. And nobody can tell me we're not
going to get a point. And we just left the
rose Guard.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
You saw.

Speaker 7 (03:14):
We have Jay Powell going in at the FED and
he's a very very talented guy.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I think he's going to do a great show.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Well, I think Americans, which is the reason why I
believe that you won. I think a lot of us
out there have been so frustrated that it seems that
the government doesn't have basic concepts how business works and
how the economy works, and so many things the government
does lacks logic. You know, we're small business owners and
we weren't about to add any employees because everything was
so uncertain. Then we went through the thing with Obamacare,

(03:41):
and then we have this forced on this and we
you know which you know has just.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Been Bombacare, by the way, has been a disease.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I mean it's and we've got to get whilst the
wheels have already completely come off on it. It's not
like it's going to be bad. It's really bad.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
And as you know, we're talking about ending the individual
mandate and give that to the middle class and giving
it to businesses where they, you know, go out and
create a lot of jobs. But the mandate has been
a disaster. The individual mendate has been a disaster. I mean,
people that had insurance before Obamacare, now they.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Have to pay not to have it.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
It's got to be the most unpopular thing, one of
the most unpopular things I've seen in government. And so
we're even considering getting rid of the individual mendate.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Well, there's a little bit of a frustration because I
think there's people that said, we voted for this administration
and we want their vision for America to be implemented.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
And they're going to get it. Honestly, they're going to
get it.

Speaker 7 (04:31):
We're going to get the we're going to get repeal
and replace, and we're getting very close to getting it anyway.
And Obamacare is exploding and imploding just as I said
it would, and the tax cuts are going to be
very important.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
In a way, I.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
Feel a little bit guilty leaving for China. And Japan
and for South Korea now because you know this is
prime time. But I will say the receptivity and you
people know it as well as I do, the receptivity
has been fantastic for the tax cuts.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
What about when you talk about the corporate tax rate.
I mean that's obviously something you're very familiar with. Is
this enough to really yeah, because being the highest corporate
rate that made zero scense.

Speaker 7 (05:04):
Right, Well, we're bringing from thirty five percent down to
twenty that's a tremendous efect. This will be the biggest
tax cut in the history of our country. So this
will be bigger than anything we've done.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
And historically those have caused big booz.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I think it's going to be tremendous.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
And also the reason I say for business, business needs
it because we are one of the highest tax countries
in the world.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
It's not even close.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
Okay, we're one of the highest tax in the world,
and now we're going down to one of the lower,
not the lowest. I'd like to be there too, but
you know, you can only do so much. And by
the way, there is a phase two. Maybe we do
a phase two if this kicks off like we think
it will, but this will have a huge impact on
business and a huge impact on jobs.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
If you get another shot at it, the Rick and
Bubba plane will be zero deductions in ten percent across
the board.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Everybody, you know, I find I mean, economies.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
Be difficult to get through, but it would. We figured
God was far, you know, we could we could live
with it.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Hey, there are some people that agree with that.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Tell you, let me, let me ask us why we
have you We we saw the test walls go up. Yeah,
how do you feel about it? And you're going to
go down to judge them?

Speaker 7 (06:06):
Right, I'm going to go down very soon and we're
going to be when I get back sometime after I
get back from Asia. And we have five and even
six test walls up. We call them prototypes. And you
know it's interesting. We have the we have the border
patrol working on it, and they're working hard and ice
because they're the ones you want.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
And they want a certain.

Speaker 7 (06:24):
Vision through the wall, because if you think about it,
you can't just have a concrete wall. Then you don't
know who's on the other side. So they want to
have a vision through the wall. And no, those are
some great prototypes. It's one or two in particular that
we like, and I'll be going there over the next
three or four weeks.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
So well, not to tell you what to do, but
I'd go with Israelis if anybody know.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
We got a couple of them from Alabama.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
That's true there.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
So you just judge me and put a ribbon on
it and they win.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
Well, it's basically I'll be picking the winner, but I'll
be picking it with ice, and I'll be picking it
with the border patrol.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
And you just mentioned Israel.

Speaker 7 (06:57):
But their wall works ninety nine nine, that's got a
history ninety nine.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yeah, that's the reason why we thought it was weird
that the Pope acted like he didn't like the wall
when he lives.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Got a big one he gives me.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
When I heard that, it was actually during the South
Carolina primary, and you know that right, remember that, And
it was during the South Carolina and I heard that
they that the Pope was sort of against the wall.
And then I said, well, let me see some of
the pictures of the Vatican.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Well, ask the.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
People who had to bury their loved ones sat absolutely
over the last twenty four to forty eight hours, because
what it's not immoral and it's not unreasonable to say that.
We're not saying that people can't come into our country.
We simply want to vet them out to keep our
citizens secure. And that's a reasonable statement.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
And we want to merit based systems. We don't want lotteries.
And you can imagine who they put in those lotteries.
They're not putting their finest. No, they're not putting you
guys in the lottery. Okay, they're putting people that let's
not even talk about it, but.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
They're not putting the hard for people to understand.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
A lot of people are inconceivable. But I think now
they're understanding it. And I would like to say move fast,
because in three weeks now they won't understand it to
the same extent. Now I understand a lot of Democrats
want to end that lottery system.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Well, I've been talking about.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
The lottery system for a while. I've also been talking
about chain migration. We have to end chain migration. Chain
migration is a killer where somebody like him can come
in and they'll bring here everybody, twenty people, twenty three
people with him potentially his case, he only has a
green card. No, he's a bad he's a bad person.
He's an animal as far as I'm concerned, and we're

(08:28):
going to be very tough.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
And if people don't understand that and they don't like it.
We keep saying is don't blame our country who now
wants to be secure, Blame the people keep doing these
kind of things then, and that's what's causing us to
start betting. It's not our fault, it's the behavior of
those who are coming in that tend to do harm.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Well, we have extreme betting, and now we have more
than that.

Speaker 7 (08:48):
I mean, you see what we've been doing, and we've
done a great job at the border, seventy eight percent
down and you look at that when you know if
they went one percent down, it was a oyster with
seventy eight percent down people pouring into the border, and
that's before the wall.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
That's just enforcing the laws that were.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
Forcing laws the border patrol and ice. You know, they
endorsed me and the first time they've ever endorsed the
presidential candidate.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
You know why they wanted. They wanted to be allowed
to do their job.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
They want to do.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
You know, they actually work much harder now than they
used to, and they love it. They're doing their job.
They love the country, they're proud of their country. They're
doing their job.

Speaker 5 (09:22):
Well.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Thanks for taking time to include us today. It's an
honor to be here. And uh and of course the
last time you're on with us and you did a
liner for us, it made national news even in the
radio industry. We appreciate it. So thank you, thank you,
so just thanks for that.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Thank you both a pleasure.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah, thank you Donald Trump taking time to be with
us here today on the Rick and Bubba Show. A
man in his cooking grill become one over time and
and those relationships they build and the and they're strong.
You know, anytime my wife said, hey, won't you grill
something today for a family gathering? And you I'm one

(10:00):
of those grillers that sure, I mean, the great ones
can go on the road and and be at a
church function and somebody's say, can you go over that
ready grill and make us something? You know, some people,
the ones who are moderate grillers, can't go on the road,
right I mean, but but there's still nothing like your
home grill. There's nothing like it. You know how it works.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
You know that you got the temps down and sure,
sure tools you won't.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
And and this grill and me have been together for
eleven years.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
I have to have the fork with a little thermometer
on it. It really kind of got used to that.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
So we all have things we're not proud of. But
I was. I started noticing probably two years ago that
some of the burners weren't firing like they should. And
you got, oh, just a bunch ton of them, and a.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Bunch of round burners.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
And then now there's the there the tubes, you know,
for those of the little holes, four tubes across, and
and it's it's stainless still, I mean, and yeah, and
he's I mean, And I know a lot of you
out there, you charcoal people. I've got a charcoal grille too,
you know, down on the farm. But at home, and
I'm and you know, I'm not propane either. I go
straight to the natural gas. So I've always got fire.

(11:10):
I'm always ready to go at a moment, at a
moment's notice, I'm ready to go. So it was awful
over the past weekend. Sherry said to me, and sometimes
she didn't know how to say it. My wife's name Sherry.
For those of you that are new, she said, you know,
your birthday was October third, and I said, I know,
and it was kind of hecktic. She said, you know,

(11:32):
we got your card, and your mom and dad, you know,
got you this outstanding by the way table for cleaning
fish and for lading fish with all the utilities that
go with it. Oh yes, yeah, So you know what
else I got to have you seen this contraption where
if you hook a big bass and you don't want
to and you let him swallow it too much, the
big thing that can go inside go and get.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
It's like pliers for the worl.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
Oh I love them.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
My dad got me one of those. And so I
was having a good birthday.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
But she's for picking up screws behind the dresser.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
And you know how sometimes your wife will say something
to you and they don't want to say it directly,
but they're trying to get you to say it because
they know how hurtful it could be. And she said,
why don't you get you a new grill? And I said,
I don't need a grill, And it's like, for a moment,
she gave me that look, Rick, I think you and

(12:22):
I both know that it's over. That grill's done. Let
me just say it. And I said, but two burners
still fire? She said, the hot dogs you made for
us this past weekend not cooked all the way through.

Speaker 8 (12:42):
Rick, Eleven years is a long time for that is.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
She said.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
And the reason why it happened. And you know it, Rick,
but you want to admit it. It's because you didn't
have the proper fire. You were moving around a couple
of hot spots that you now can't even control. Low
means nothing on that grill now, Rick, I mean, it's
just fire, okay, there's no control over it. It's out
of hand. And hey, she's not running like she once ran,
and you need to replace her. Ring, It's it's time.

(13:07):
And you know, hearing that just wow. You know when
somebody just says it. So yesterday.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Was the day.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I mean I walked that there to her and I said,
you know you served this family well, you got nothing
to be ashamed of. This is not a This is
not a dig on you. This is not to say
you didn't perform well. Your eleven years worth smoking, no
pun intended. What is that in grill years? Oh, there's
no telling.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
What.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
That's a long time, like every other it.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Is the is how does she look on the outside.
Is she still physically good shape? Little rough old dog?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
There was a there was the fire.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
If you'd have just brushed her like you're supposed to
and maintained her burners, she might have lasted a little longer.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
But that's the guilt that comes to you. You can't
stop it from happening. I mean, you start thinking.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
How many times did you brush her out with a
good steel brush.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
I did, Bubba, but not like I should have. You're right, right,
you can't expect it. I don't build a run if
you don't change the old one you're supposed to. But
he feels bad enough questions anything else you like to
pile on.

Speaker 8 (14:07):
I'm just saying, you know, we're not big on mate.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
For the next one. I've noticed burgesses and maintenance.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
We're not big on a preventative maintenance. Listen, guys, I
wasn't prepared for how I would feel about this grill.
I wasn't prepared for it. I thought I could just
discard it, like I do so many things. Okay, but
I got I'm attached. I mean, her stain was still beauty,
glistening in the sun.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
I thought stainless still lasted forever.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Well it does, unless you I'd better not talk about
twenty ten eleven years though it is forever real years.
Left the fire roar and forgot about it. Oh, I've
done it a lot.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
I'll turn her black one on the outside a little bit.

Speaker 8 (14:44):
How about leaving it a lot? How about leave it
burning for days?

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Days?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Since it was twenty ten, I was a little off
my game that day. Well, I've emptied the tank out,
left and on forgot empty the entire tank. So I
went to picked out the not happy with you, I
picked out the grill another. As I was walking out
of the house to go pick out the new grill,
I looked out the window to the deck, and it's

(15:11):
like she was staring at me. Where are you going?
You want to get a puppy? And I was like,
I nothing, I just got things I gotta do. And
as long as you said, Rick, you don't come home
the middle of the day, put your stuff down and
leave again where you're headed? Like she knew, you know
what I mean? And I'm And I decided to go
out there, and I have yet to disconnect the gas.

(15:31):
I just can't do it.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
Is it natural?

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Or is it ProPaint. It's natural, it's always hot, always
always on. Rick, did you put the new on?

Speaker 5 (15:41):
They can meet?

Speaker 3 (15:42):
No?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
No, I don't want to hand over the torch.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
Here, want a new puppy meeting the dog headed.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Here was the worst part.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
This was this.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
This hurt badly. So I buy it at the place
I bought it, picked it out and they said, you
want us to deliver it fully assembled? I said absolutely,
you know me, I'm locking you ago. They said, we'll
also remove the old one.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Oh that's good, just do that when you're not there.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, just don't. So that's my question. Do I say
goodbye with them standing there?

Speaker 4 (16:10):
No?

Speaker 5 (16:11):
No, you step away? What do you want in a
dramatic moment? I had to have everybody there, just point
where it is, go in the house, come back and
let the do. It's supposed to be there, just like
getting rid of it.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
They're supposed to be there tomorrow. When do I say
goodbye officially? Do I go out there and have a
moment or do I let it surprise her?

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Well, you go out today and just have a heads
up to down. Yeah, yeah, maybe even use your one las.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
I wouldn't do it.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Is there anything you can could you make a hamburg,
he could draw you in. Wait a minute, I go
out there and cook one more hamburg. Yeah, with your
little you want to half done hamburg? Thank you, thank you?

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Hey, just one. If it's time for the dog to go,
you don't carry about to play fetch one. That's why
lay there and be asleep.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
One one tear stained hot dog. I went out there yesterday,
didn't say what was happening, but I was so emotional.
I could tell she knew something was up because all
I did yesterday was talking about all the good times
we had together. Maybe just unplug or take her for
one last walk? Maybe walk?

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Do you think about a sting that still burner? Just
doing the burner replace?

Speaker 3 (17:16):
It's too far gone. He's the burgess. They just buy things, well,
they don't replace. I went out there yesterday and talked
about the team party of twenty two of two thousand
and nine, when she probably was at her finance to.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
That ricking bubba, ricking bubba.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
We had a group of friends and now that dropped
the most work, the awfulest hint I've ever gotten. I
had a group of friends that set out the following email, Hey,
we're planning on getting together on New Year's Eve at
a restaurant for dinner. It'd be great if if somebody
who had a house that would be great for kids
to play downstairs would maybe decide to have everybody over
to their house afterwards so we all could visit for
a few minutes. And I'm like, well, could y'all have

(17:52):
any more of a hint like that? And so we
had a couple of friends over and the kids had
their downstairs New Year's Eve party, and then we we
decide decided I will sure you said, we need to
get some fireworks, but you know she's gotten some brave now.
She even tells me to.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
Go where she survived that dilemma before.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Yeah, when I almost you know, shot everybody made up,
made up, made a mistake of the past where I
had the family on the deck again where they're up
a little lot right and uh, the line of fire.
So I've got uh, you want to be close. I've
got your standard Roman Roman candle deal.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
Nothing says the New Year like I want to be
close to fire. Right, I've got the I've got the block.
I've got the block you like that just shoots them
out like crazy. Then I've got the big ones, you know,
where you shoot the straight up fireworks that go up
in the air, where you drop the little ball in
with the You need to make sure the balls.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Pointed the right way. Yeah, yeah, by the way. Uh
and uh.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
One of my favorite rick is where you just take
a little bit of all of them. You wrap them
in a big garbage bag and you lock the bag
and run for your life.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Amen.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
And they shoot where they shoot. It's just random. It's
part of the fun.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Kids don't so uh So then now this is this
will show you that you got This will show you
when you have children who are traumatized. I shoot off
one of the big ones, and I've got two of
the other men down there with me, actually three other men,
and I shoot one of the big ones. Well, little
kids next door across the way start coming out. My
kids screamed to them, you're too little. Go back here

(19:15):
and my dad will catch you on fire. You know,
it's dangerous. Don't come over here. So I'm like, well,
where's all the trust. So there's always this. I've shot
a couple of them, and the wives are owing and
a and the kids are running around with sparklers and
all that.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
And then one of the days we live to hear
our wives being praised.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Right well, and we all know what happens when you
get men together and fire.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
All of a sudden.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
One of them says, I tell you what we need
to shoot too at the same time. And I said, well,
we only have one one little to you. He said,
we got that Roman candle to you to what's Then
the intelligent one of the group said, hey, guys, there
are two different sizes of tubes. One tube is designed
for this, the other designed for what it did too.

(20:00):
It's too wide and too tall. You won't get the thrust,
to which we said, a tube's a tube.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
Yeah, No, he's right, yeah, like a barrel, you know.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
We let him go back in how about this? But
he is absolutely right, and uh and we uh did
so we dropped the firework in there, and we have
we're gonna light them both at the same time, and
they're gonna shoot up in the air and uhopuh.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Big big, big, big tube.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Big tube took his firework and shot it about an
inch and a half above the tube, uh, exploding the
one next to him. And now we're running and and
and and and and and and one of them is
the landscape designer who landscaped our yard, so he knew
where we should take cover.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
He said, go for the bushes and jump, and we're
diving over bushes as he goes, and I mean lights
up the whole yard. Don't picture firecrackers. I'm talking about
the kind of fireworks that you like. Go and watch there,
you know, I mean, I mean the big ones. And
it's like it's still expanded. It looks like just Hall
of Duty, right, just like it should have done. Hundred

(21:05):
feet hundreds of feet in the air.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
What a show.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
They did the same thing, hovering feet off the ground.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
I like a star burst under the deck more than
I like one over them. How about this?

Speaker 3 (21:17):
I felt I felt, you know how to exclusions feel,
you know, the percussion of it. I felt it get
on me. I mean as it knocked me over the bush.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
I'm going there, Greg, you'd been left behind?

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Oh yeah, I went there, paying and and then you
then you hear out of the smoke. Should the book
comes out, it's this one so bad because she's been
there before. Everybody get inside before he killed.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
That's it.

Speaker 8 (21:44):
Fund's over, y'all.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
Happy Now watch behind the window.

Speaker 9 (21:48):
You know then, But now next year though, you see
you started something. Hey dady, do what y'all did last year? Well, yeah,
they'll be disappointing from now. And the wh and the
wife are so mad at you. You have to ask
when your guy friends put the salve on you. You know, hey, man,
I'm burn back here.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
You don't mind, you know, you know, as long as
you agree to put it on the back of my leg,
you know so?

Speaker 5 (22:05):
And Rick, I think the thing you ought to go
for next year is a two stager. Have one lot.
The other wallet's in the well.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
You know what I need to do?

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Get I'll get you some fun. Rick.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Here's an idea. Get two of the same size teams.
Yeah yeah, if you want to shoot two, yeah, buy
two boxes. We said two a two? Was it you?

Speaker 10 (22:21):
No?

Speaker 5 (22:21):
That wasn't me? That's that?

Speaker 8 (22:23):
Would you agree that would.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Come from one? Jeordie Hins?

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Of course?

Speaker 3 (22:28):
All the team's a team roll tied Bubba. This past
weekend for me, it was a stay home weekend, which
was great, and my wife Sherry, spent some time down
at our family farm preparing for this weekend's marriage conference.
The part she's going to be presenting she went and
try to put all that together. Why of the boys
and I spent some time hanging out. Had one kid

(22:48):
come home from college, so I had the oldest son
with me and spent most of the weekend together. We
celebrated the real Greg Burgess's birthday at my mom and
dad's house yesterday.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
That was that was that was an extravaganza.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Well how did that go? Well?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
You know it. It was an active weekend and it
all went really well. I had Friday. Of course, I
had to take care of the first order business, and
that was to purchase into double A college football twenty eleven.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
I guess while you were out getting Gregg's gift.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah, Why, I was getting Gregg's gift and Greg told
me not to get him a gift. He said, I
don't want any gifts. So you did, and so I'm
sitting there and so anyway, so week the boys and
I went out to a theme park in our state
called Alabama Adventure. So that involved the combination of water
slides and amusement park rides. Oh God, which is in

(23:36):
the boy hot in Alabama. I mean, I mean, I
don't know if you've walked that pavement lately hot and
you know, hot time, and they always want to do
the format of water slides, first ride second. Now now
I'm rolling over to the rides and we're all wet,
but you draw pretty quick out there, and made the mistake.

(23:56):
Even though it was a great day. He had an
outstanding day. You know, a lot of times when you
go to theme parks, you know your goal of trying
to make sure you could go one time when everything's running,
you know, which is it rarely ever happens? You know,
is there anything any worse feeling to go to a
major amusement park, theme park? And also you go and
they go, hey, so and so that ride ain't running.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
We ain't run?

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Kids like why they ride it at you know, and
so uh, we over over a period of a thunderstorm
slowing things down, and which never happened, just rumbled off
in the distance. But they have to shut down anything
that's high, which is all the great ruts, you know
what I mean. And so finally that kind of rumbled
away and they opened back up and we had a
great day. And just just when I had had had

(24:36):
planned out everything perfect, Because when you go to a
theme park, you know you have to It's when you
take kids to a theme park. It's a battle plan. Sure,
I mean you don't just casually Now you can go
to the beach and casually figure out what to do.
You don't ever casually go into a theme park with
children with no plan of action. I tell people that
all the time, you know, the first time parents or
email we're thinking about going to six Flags or disney

(24:58):
World or something like we go into Alabama Adventure, you know.
And I'm like, you got a plan? Well, well, we
were just wondering. You can't wonder. I mean, you you
got interest. This is like going into battle. I mean,
this thing could turn into a disaster. So well, my
battle plan was perfect, perfect, and I made the mistake.
I made the mistake almost free. I'm almost done. I'm
not frustrated. The lines we were tolerable. Everything was great.

(25:22):
Me and the boys had a great time. Uh you know,
I even you know, we won some of those carnival
games and won some worthless prizes. And and and I'm
just about to leave, and I noticed the hot dog restaurant.
Nobody was in it, and and I and I thought, man,
I can knock dinner out right here, because you know,
Dad's are always that dinner cloud hangs over you in lunch.

(25:44):
If you mom, you know, if mom is no one knows,
she wants to know did you feed them right? And
you start thinking it will this be accept This has
been acceptable.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
Food for her? You know that kind of probably not
for mom. For dad, it's fine, yeah, cereal.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
So instead of hitting another restaurant while we're all tired
on the way home, I said, let's knock it right here,
got it forgetting of course that employees of thing parks, well,
there's a lot of things they do well, but boys
service and food just ain't one of them. And you know,
I finally said to the young man, I don't know

(26:19):
that you could fix this hot dog any slower than
you're doing it. That this is like watching a lava lamp,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
So you're saying it would have been quicker if the
hot dog had come over and jumped in the bun itself,
you know what?

Speaker 3 (26:34):
You know what I did. And this is the part
where that because I was trying to represent Christ, which
which was difficult, and at one point I really did say,
just let me do it. It's just hot dogs. I
can do this. They're spinning on the little warmer. The
buns are to your left.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Take the weenie, put it in the bun and give it.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
To me, letting me have it.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
How hard is that?

Speaker 5 (27:03):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (27:04):
And uh, and and you know and and and and
let me tell you what happened because I watched him.
Wait on the one woman that was in front of
me who wanted one plane hot dog? I'm not do
you want for those you here? You want to show
you my impression? It's a visual, yes, the only you
streamers and people here. I'm not making this up. Of course,
his his theme park hat tilted to one side. Of course,

(27:24):
you know what I mean. Look, she walks in. He's
back there with nobody nothing. She she walks in. She says,
I would like, uh, just a one plane hot dog.
Rick standing up like he's and I'm.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
Not, I'm not exact.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
First of all, he won't come all up to the counter.
And then the hot dogs are behind him already cooked,
and bungs are to the left, and a tupperware thing okay,
drink machine is over here.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
We're left.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
I would like one plane hot dog. Now keep mine.
I'm gonna get a lot more than that. Okay, one
plane hot dog head tilting. He walks over, then goes
over to the god forsaken plastic gloves, which I said,
when I said, when it's my time, just grab it
with your hands.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
You're fine.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
We've done things a lot, a lot more unclean than
your hands probably are, you know what I mean. My gosh,
we've been over there, you know, with piles of people,
like animals and water, you know what I mean. We've
been going down slides. Ain't no tell them what's in
that water, you know what I mean? So look whatever,
and look, So here comes one glove trying to get
his fingers in it barely and look at and I'm

(28:30):
just like about to come apart, you know, I'm just like,
how long does it take to put on a stupid
you know what I mean? Look, and he kind of
gets it down. Then he didn't get it right one
time he takes it back off. This is one hot
the fingers. Yeah, Then he finally gets out on and
then he looks over and gets the other one. Look
and then he kind of works it down. Then he
goes over there and he goes over to the tupworth thing.

(28:53):
You can't get it open with the buns in it.
Well's you got slick gloves on that slip well, unfortunately
inside where the buns are. Unfortunately, they had not disconnected
the buns for him and made them individuals. They were
still attached and that threw him for a loop. Just
tear it off, just but they come apart. Well, he's
keeping around with it, and I'm just like, oh my gosh.

(29:15):
And so finally and then and then he's just about
to come over with a hot dog. He's just about
got it over, and she said, and I would like
a pretzel too, And he turns around, he starts taking
the gloves off, and I'm going to leave him over next,
you know, just get it with the glove, you know,
It's like and then there was a piece of paper
he had to get for that, and oh that just
a and I'm just sitting I kid, you know. It

(29:37):
took him ten twelve minutes to hand a plain hot
dog to a woman. And I realized, I've got to
get a lot of them, you know what I mean,
because you're hungry. So here's what I did. And I
thought this was smooth. I thought I cannot watch this again. Okay,
I can't because I do something that will do will
crucify cross, you know, and this man's eyes. So so

(29:58):
what what I said is because you the one time
I was there and I removed the hot dog special, yeah,
I took it off the menu because they couldn't pull
it off. Yeah yeah. And I said, if you can't
pull it off, just don't even have it on the menu,
you know what I mean. And so I didn't want
to do that again because I thought that's not being
a line, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (30:14):
And so it's obviously a lot was needed here, right,
So so.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
This time I really did And I want to thank
the Moss family. God love you, Scott Boss, and you
and your beautiful children and your wife because when I ordered,
I turned around, not because I couldn't face what I
was going to watch, because I wanted like five hot
dogs and all this. So I turn around and I
see the Moss family coming outside the window, who I
know and go to church with. I went out to

(30:41):
them and we talked about everything about their family. We
got updated, and I just hope that enough time would
pass it I would then turn around and see the
hot dogs there. So I just couldn't look at it.
I said, I can't look at what's happening back here.
And I walked outside and talked with them, and that,
you know, how you talk to people, time passes faster.
And I talked with them and ate up about ten
fifteen minutes, and I came back and my hot dogs

(31:03):
were coming to me, and uh and and and so
that that helped big time, because uh and I wanted.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
A chili dog too, But I just couldn't know.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
I couldn't imagine if I'd ask him to get in
that chill, you know what I mean, I couldn't. And
then I'm the stomach. Thanks you too, I imagine. And
I know I noticed they gave him. Also his job
was to take care of hot dogs and pretzels and
watch the soft serve line.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
Oh that soft serve to take him all day getting
that out.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
This young man couldn't take that on. This young man
couldn't take that on, you know. And and I tried
to talk to him, which was a mistake. You know,
you ever tried to you, ever try to talk to you,
ever try to talk to some of our youngsters today,
some of our young men and women. So man, you're
having a good time here today, you know, because when
I come to a theme park, I want to excited.

Speaker 5 (31:53):
Yeah people, I want people look at my kids.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Y'all having a good time at at the theme part today,
you know like that, Hey, everybody doing okay? How y'all
doing today? What can I do for you? You know,
I made says the man. You're doing all right? What
did you say? You ever looked a man in the
eye and spoke with some some volume?

Speaker 5 (32:13):
Son Rick?

Speaker 3 (32:16):
In his defense, are you capable of looking in someone's
eyes and acknowledging our family existence? Here? We just knocked
down hundreds of dollars here, hat tilts it to the side,
you know with the thing part logo, which if you're
the one sweating inside that office running them numbers, you
love him with his hat tilted again. This is who's

(32:37):
representing everything you've invested.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Had a hat here?

Speaker 3 (32:40):
What they charged to eat at these things parts? They're
not used to people coming in here. You douldn't believe.
I coudn't believe it's I think it ended up being
four hot dogs, not five, because I knew too much.
So four hot dogs, two potato chips, one soft pretzel,
three Coca Colas normal size thirty five. I said, Now,

(33:04):
now I see that time I heard you, you couldn't have
said forty dollars.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
I wish I didn't hear that.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
It clear.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
And Rick probably has a tip jar on the counter.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Yeah, the gold put a tip jar out for a
seven dollars hot dog. And you know what My tip
for him was, find a job where you don't interact
with human and look both ways when you cross this
great Yeah, how much you say dollars?

Speaker 5 (33:33):
I tell you them. Have you noticed the price of
all food? It seemed like it's gone up cheap. Mexican
ain't cheap anymore.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
A ball park or a thing park, try to eat there.
I told the kids, prepare for what I want you
to tell me. He's the greatest hot dog.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
You've ever eat.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Ricking Bubba, ricking Bubba.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Love him once again. As if we've often talked about
we look to Europe as our example.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
I tell you it's amazing. I've never seen uh the
folks at the top of the heap looking around for
help as much as we have. I want to reduce
the effects of global warming. This is from US News
they're very respectable US news. Stop working so hard working
Fewer hours might help slow global warming, according to a

(34:20):
new study release Monday by the Center for Economic Policy and.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I bet they're a blast have lunch with.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
I bet they party at Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
What if you heard today, guys, Look before you leave, Rick,
I know you've got a code that makes your nostril
sting in one of your eyes is not working. But
if you could, if you could, if you could sit
down and have a meeting today.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
He looked like you've been slapped.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
How about this, If you could sit down today, please,
before you leave, I need you to meet with the
Center of Economic Policy and Research.

Speaker 8 (34:49):
Yeah, boy uh Rick.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
This is why the relationship between a shorter work and
long and lower emissions is complex and clearly understand right,
But it is understandable that lowering levels of consumption, holding
everything else constant, would reduce greenhouse gas emissions Rights the
author of this study. He says some of the reduction
can be attributed to fewer operating hours in factories and

(35:16):
other workplaces that consume high levels of energy.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Now hear this, They're now saying, Look, if we want
to keep from burning out, we got to work list.
We got to cut that work out.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
Now, Rick, get this. He says that this is the
This is the real bottom line in this that developing
countries that have economies that are growing basically have two
choices to follow. They can follow the European work schedule
or the American work schedule of little vacation and forty
hour work weeks.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
You're talking about the country that has accomplished more and
a little over two hundred years than the rest of
the world has.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
Is that what you're talking about, it's just precious.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
So what it's saying is, look, guy, if we want
to survive, American's gonna have to stop all this. I mean,
we can't. We can't get into this get after it,
work hard mentality. Let's all let's all fart around like
our European uh neighbors and uh and cut down the
word week and and and not be able to fire
anybody and everybody gets eight weeks vacation.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Here is the thing though, Look, we're all about vacation,
get all you can get, but uh, here here's the thing.
Let's just say, let's just say anything all of us,
if all of us knock off at lunch today Okay,
what are you going there? They're assuming that you're going
to stop doing whatever you do at work, which for

(36:37):
a lot of us will be sitting in the day
ask and that we're going to somehow disappear into a
vacuum and not use any resources or do anything. If
we get knocked off at lunch, if we all knocked
off at lunch today, not got knocked off, but if
we got If we knocked off at lunch, we probably go.
We probably go out and do something right. We fire
the car up, go right around. We would we would

(36:58):
have trucks, one of my favorite hobbies, go right around
looking about.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
This, we'd have our our our automobiles blazing.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
Absolutely. You know, if you think we're gonna go home
and sit in front of the black and a lot
of TV and watch three channel, I'm Americans, baby.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
And I'm gonna get out here to party. I'm gonna
get out of my truck with a Hemi engine. By
the way, but you know what how green that is.
I'm gonna get out of my very green Hemi engine.
You don't gonna do get right.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
On the floor.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
W want you know now I've got that fired up?
Might get a boat out, rip, build a fire, watch
it burn. You know what, I'm gonna shoot a gun.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
Yep. We're gonna go out. We're gonna shoot guns. We're
gonna ride things, We're gonna hunt, We're gonna fish burn style.
We're gonna get out and play violet sports.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
I mean all of that stuff.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Yeah. I mean there's no telling what, no telling the
politically incorrect things I might do if I have more
free time.

Speaker 5 (37:47):
You know what, I don't know that the internals of
this study, but I'm doubting the outcome of it already
because I really think we use less fower at work.
And they're talking about factories. Heck, we ain't got that
many factories anymore. We buy everything from China.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Fact But what factor? But Bubba, how about this? How
open they're being about it?

Speaker 5 (38:04):
Too many factories? Do you use one or two around
but not a whole lot?

Speaker 8 (38:07):
I grow through the old Pittsburgh of the South.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
I'm smoke kicking out that Greg.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
How about this? We need to embrace the more European
way of things. These dastardly Americans and they're burning.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
The earth up.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
I get this, Rick, he says, with all their accomplishments.
Once again, we need to feel guilty for being that
gum number one, he said.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
There's a lot of controversy with this. Should the developing
world follow the American or European model. If the world
was to follow a more European model of work, we
would expect fewer hours, less output, and lower emissions of
greenhouse gases. Hey, I tell you what else you can count.
You'll have less of. That's satellite, so you can watch

(38:48):
TV technologies for cell phones, planes that fly all over
the place. Anything you really enjoy that quite frankly's worth
crap right, well, and it's not for you. All your
medical pills, all your dancements in all of that, all
of you cat skins, and this surgery and computer advancement,
all your internet stuff. You can just chunk that out

(39:08):
in the ocean with a European model too.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Yeah, well, now that when you mentioned the great medical
accomplishments we've had in this country, Now we're about to
drop back and punt that. Oh so nobody's got to
worry about that much longer.

Speaker 5 (39:18):
Now, if you won't sit around all afternoon and drink
wine and eat cheese and fine, that's all right, right,
But I tray to you, earn you way to do
in that and then do it when you want to
do it.

Speaker 6 (39:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I kind of liked it better being in a country
where they say, every time this new rash of staff
infections changes its mutation, that we we come up with
something to fight it. But when research and development stops,
I look forward to the day that that we go
from being a first world society in the medical field
to dine in of staff infection. Hey, that's awesome.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
Yeah, and I don't care how many vitamins you take
or deer spray, you ain't gonna cure.

Speaker 6 (39:49):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
I cannot wait to go backwards if in more third
world with our medical care. I know, I love it.
I love hey, hey, by about this. Won't we just
crap in the streets too?

Speaker 5 (39:57):
Yea one of the garbage round file up. It worked good,
and you're quickly you re else.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
How quickly we had indoor plumbing ahead of everybody else.
I mean we we were the leader in that plague.
Let's go back to it, wrapping in the streets and
sleeping in it. Yes, well, Rick, jar back out.

Speaker 5 (40:15):
Rick again.

Speaker 6 (40:15):
I know.

Speaker 5 (40:16):
Let me tell it. Let me tell you something let's
hanging over a mud hope. Let me tell you what
the America's perfected, and quite frankly, I think it's the
root of all our success. We knew how to dig
wells and put in septive you know what. We're figuring
that out when nobody else had a clue. You know,
we're good at We knew if you rented in a
in a big cement box somewhere, it would do away

(40:37):
with itself. You don't hurt anybody. You know, we're good.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
You know we're number one in clean water and places
the crap, you're one for one.

Speaker 5 (40:44):
We are national, worldwide champions of the world.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Yes, they try to go the bathroom in other parts
of the world. You you'll you'll be real happy where
we are on.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
Oh yeah, hey, the great socialist democracy sef there. If
you got a quarter, you can go to the bathroom.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Look.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I saw my wife's face.

Speaker 5 (40:59):
We got free public toilets here.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
Look we were out in the middle of no hey,
we were out in the middle of nowhere in Ethiopia.
Oh gosh. And I remember looking at my wife when
she finally got the points. She said, I'm going to
have to go to the restroom. And somebody pointed at
some god forsaken little cement something up on a hill.

Speaker 5 (41:16):
It's called a latrine.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
And she looked at me and I said, honey, I've
always loved you, and if you don't make it back,
God bless you.

Speaker 5 (41:25):
Hope that bored with a hole in it. She said
it today's you're gone. I told her.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
I said, today's a great Today's a great day, honey,
to have outdoor plumbing. It is. She said, you are correct.
I said, I bet you wish he was a man
just right now for a minute, don't you. She said, yes,
I do, Yes, I do. Good luck in there. See
I got to stand out there and just shoot it
in there. You don't get to do that.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
I wish we were just full. I wish we had
a country just full of cars about the size that
you put a loaf of bread in. I just wish
let's go back.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Hey, let's get our tiny cars and our cobblestone.

Speaker 5 (42:00):
Streets, and and when we have a family of any
normal size, we take six cars anywhere because we need
that many to get there.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
Absolutely. Huh yeah, how about this. I want to That's
that's the way I want to live. I want to
make sure if somebody tee bones me, we go ahead
and make the arrangement.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
Sure you know I won't rick If some nut is
not paying attention and hits me in the car, I
want to be sure I'm dead on the impact. No hope,
you know nothing, whatsowhere? I want to be gone at
that moment. I want to be more European lit. I
want to stink. I want my under arms to.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Smell or get bathing. I want our women to look
like they got buck week in the headlock. How about this.
I want our teeth to be nasty. I want sweaters
on our teeth. Yeah, I want to. I want our
dental care to be zero. I want to have nasty teeth.
I want to stink and I want I want to.
I want to have bad indoor plumbing. I want to
have tiny little death cars. And I want to sit

(42:51):
around not work so much.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
Yes, and no football team none, Let's go all one.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
Let's all we race soccer because it won't it has
a It's greener somehow, somehow, I don't know how.

Speaker 5 (43:02):
I'm gonna tell you my footprint when I'm away from work,
it's so much larger than when I'm at work.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Hey, there's no doubt about it. And I want seventy
percent tax too.

Speaker 5 (43:10):
Oh yeah, absolutely, Rick, you don't need any money. That's
step one. Everything's free, right saying it's about worth that too?
You it is, Yeah, after you're stand in line for it.

Speaker 8 (43:19):
Yeah, I love it the latest, ma'am. I want to
be European, don't.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
How do we stop ma make global warming? We must
have a more European work schedule.

Speaker 5 (43:28):
Sure some of them have cool flags, but we already
got our own cloth flags, so we don't need that.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Look, I know, I know, I won't talk about the
European Union.

Speaker 5 (43:39):
Well, we'll be back.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
Ricking bubba, ricking bubba.

Speaker 8 (43:45):
All right, we're back.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
Really appreciate the audience has been here for a long
time because you guys really understand. And we even missed
this one, and you guys came up with it. Does
Ryan Greenwood know? Ryan of course worked with the show
for years and uh, part time then full time and
and it has this as an entrepreneur has his own
business now Frenzy Designs, and Ryan, welcome back, buddy, Hi buddy,

(44:11):
let me ask you this. Are you aware at all
what's going on?

Speaker 6 (44:14):
I am not to be.

Speaker 8 (44:17):
Hey, buddy, clear the table.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
Are you somewhere where if you fall you'd be okay? Okay,
all right, all right tonight there's a double header, uh
at Pelham High School, which is that's in the Burmham
or that's where Speedy Son, yeah plays.

Speaker 5 (44:35):
This is a bonus. Speedy Son's pitching the second game,
but that's really not the same he's pitchings.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
He's pitching today at some point, and they're and they're playing,
you know, the split up school, and they took the
school and split into two schools. They're now playing the
new high school, okay, which which okay, all right, wait man,
now we're not even there. We're not in closer. We're
not in closer. You hold it together now, house of cats.
Okay that listen, okay, listen please, because if you don't listen,

(45:03):
you're gonna miss it. In between the double header, they
are going to retire the flag that has been flying
there at the field for lots of years. It's kind
of tattered and it's time for it to be respectfully
taking that.

Speaker 5 (45:16):
It's a grand You have to have a ceremony to
properly do away with that.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Military people are coming in okay, generals, generals, generals are
coming in flag handlers. Uh and and as the flag
is being taken down by a military regiment. Okay, and everybody,
they've got songs, patriotic songs. They're gonna shut the concession
stand down. Nobody moving while this program, the whole program.
Would you like to know who will be the voice

(45:42):
of the flag and read the poem?

Speaker 5 (45:44):
Old Glory read a poem?

Speaker 3 (45:47):
Yeah, on the PA system as the voice of the flags,
like the flag's talking. That'd be when Calvin Speedy.

Speaker 6 (45:53):
Will you mean mister smooth.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
Ryan off Airy has been practicing And I cannot tell
you what he said instead of flag, but it was, well,
the one where he'll read we're looking around six pm,
which I've already cleared my calendar.

Speaker 6 (46:17):
My girls are playing. I'll just skip their games.

Speaker 5 (46:20):
Right, We're thinking about getting together and eating and then
riding in one car, just so we'll have to ride
together as we leave.

Speaker 8 (46:26):
Hey, it's a pretty long poem too, by the way.
He's the flag speaking to the public.

Speaker 5 (46:30):
And it's timed out. It's all timed out, so if
he doesn't finish at the right time, the guy bringing
the flag in will be out of stead.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
Listen, he's all referred to the military as the military
this morning. You know what he said the first run through?

Speaker 8 (46:51):
He said, I have been revered all over the world.

Speaker 5 (46:54):
We're like, that's revered. It's been revered.

Speaker 8 (46:57):
I've been revered all over the world.

Speaker 5 (46:59):
Right him practicing in the break has been better.

Speaker 8 (47:02):
Can you read a little bit of it for Ryan
right now? Let me read a little bit of it.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
I don't know what.

Speaker 6 (47:08):
No, I'm going you need to practice, man.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Yeah, that's another thing.

Speaker 5 (47:15):
He's not going to practice. You know he's not here.
It is.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
I walked through a county courthouse square.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
That's do you think anybody would know?

Speaker 6 (47:26):
That's not.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
It's a great idea. Give him just a little No,
this is your friend. Run o the line. Listen, let
him hear be serious now, you need to be very serious,
like you Wilton.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
You're trying to sabotage that you talking about sious.

Speaker 5 (47:47):
You know he's gonna drop and.

Speaker 8 (47:48):
When he gets has a serious point.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
Guy, Hey, you reading no, Gloyd, what do you what
do you have to be a serious voice. Let's hear
a little bit of you know, you do need to practice. No, No,
the cup I'm not two lines. You're not just practice
by not being prepared. That's how you can just pared,
just not live. So I run through it doesn't help, right,
So I run through doesn't help?

Speaker 6 (48:10):
Right? Please?

Speaker 3 (48:14):
Will you please don't let that woman make you not
quit doing the bed? Come on, last collar, we're running it.
We're all bad people for we have stretched it out
for two hours.

Speaker 5 (48:23):
I get that.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
Well, Look, we couldn't turn this show right now if
we tried. Every one of us knows we should.

Speaker 5 (48:29):
We just can't. We should have. I want to talk
about the Eagle camp, I really do. Go ahead, no,
will you please?

Speaker 3 (48:37):
I'm asking you for me and for Ryan.

Speaker 1 (48:39):
And we're gonnafter. This is it no more.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
I want you to read two lines like when you
when you say that you're the flag, be the flag.
Hold on.

Speaker 6 (48:56):
You?

Speaker 5 (48:56):
How seriousness is?

Speaker 4 (48:59):
Do you really?

Speaker 5 (49:00):
How serious it is?

Speaker 6 (49:01):
Right?

Speaker 5 (49:01):
People?

Speaker 1 (49:01):
People are very should be very seriously. If y'all come
to the game, please, they're mad about us talking about
it the magic.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
Please don't let me know you Ryan right now are thinking?

Speaker 6 (49:13):
Please record this? Don't miss this all right?

Speaker 5 (49:16):
Go ahead?

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Stop Ryan, go ahead, stop Ryan, stop you be quiet.
Mute him. I am the flag of the United States
of America. My name is Old Glory.

Speaker 5 (49:45):
I feel like that first buffle, get it.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
You couldn't get that from Wick enough?

Speaker 5 (49:52):
Could you listen? Don't forget while he's doing this. There's
gonna be military standing at attention.

Speaker 8 (49:57):
There's gonna be the boy scouts are there.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
He's gonna be fine.

Speaker 6 (50:00):
Oh it's time. He's got a timing out right.

Speaker 8 (50:04):
Yeah, yeah, minute six.

Speaker 3 (50:08):
That's been bumped a little bit.

Speaker 5 (50:09):
They gave you a little ring.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Oh gosh, Alan, Look Alan, who's in charge of all this?
He's Alan. Please don't get nervous. I'm a gamer, baby,
He'll be All of this is coming.

Speaker 5 (50:19):
All of this is coming over right after Speedy's description
of the front of an airplane.

Speaker 4 (50:24):
Don't forget.

Speaker 3 (50:34):
There you goes, there goes.

Speaker 5 (50:41):
Keep in mind right where we where we meet here. Listen,
we're fifty years old. Okay, we're making five of Speedy.
Who's got to do this serious ceremony and our entertainment
is trying to make a guy that has asked my past.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
Wrong with this show.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
I wonder people don't want we are terrible. I agree
with that, lady.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
I need to go pick up.

Speaker 5 (51:01):
Some trash on the road. Or something.

Speaker 3 (51:04):
How about I need to add about eight more men? All right,
what I'm doing, it's not changing all Ryan weeding a
Lloyd's and going over.

Speaker 5 (51:21):
I'll stop if we can have chicken levers before we go.
My day's complete.

Speaker 11 (51:27):
I'll see I'll see you about five fifteen, just in
case traffics man, And right, Ryan, what other thing you
don't have.

Speaker 10 (51:37):
To have a shirt that looks like a flag? Thanks guys, arettycition,
y'all some more? Thanks Ryan, good talk to you. Anybody
go hit that.

Speaker 5 (51:55):
You've just about killed? And asthmatic?

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Right, that was, I'll be happy. I many in passing that.
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba, welcome back for a
brand new hour.

Speaker 5 (52:06):
There's Bill, Bubba Basa. Rick glad to be here, honored
and privileased. And it is our honor Rick this hour
and right now to have former President Donald J. Trump
on the show.

Speaker 3 (52:16):
Welcome back to the show.

Speaker 6 (52:18):
Well, good morning fellows. It's true first radio show I
did from the White House. That's eccastic, right, I'm could
I forget.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
That that's true. People kept asking us how did you
get you know? Trump on the show? I said, He's
been on the show two times. He've invited us up
to the White House. This is not abnormal for him.

Speaker 6 (52:36):
To be on a great show, and it's been a
friendly show and I appreciate it. And unlike a lot
of people will loyal we believe in loyalty.

Speaker 5 (52:46):
Mister President. We've got a lot of topics we want
to cover, with a lot of questions that folks want
to know first and foremost, are you going to run
again in twenty twenty four or will you be a
rally man and a king behind the scene? That is
the number one question we're getting from our listeners.

Speaker 6 (53:05):
Well, maybe both. You know, we've endorsed some great candidates
and they seem to always win. Lo Brooks is one
right now. He's doing fantastically well and he's a patriot,
And we have a lot of people that we enduse
and if you look at the record, the record is
pretty much almost I say almost unblemished, and so that's important.
Then on the other because of the campaign laws, you're

(53:28):
not allowed to really say, but I think you're going
to be very happy. You guys would be very happy.
A lot of people are going to be very happy
when they look at what's going on. It's absolute disgrace.
What's happening right now in our country.

Speaker 3 (53:39):
Let's unpack that. So tens of thousands of people are
coming to hear you at this rally and other rallies
like it that have already happened and will take place.
I mean people already on the grounds. It doesn't even
happen till tomorrow night. So there's truly a concern that
Americans have that the country is headed in the complete
wrong direction. You've talked about it, but let's let's go.

(54:02):
Let's get on the record here. What was your plan
for us leaving Afghanistan? Because you two wanted us to
get our troops out.

Speaker 6 (54:09):
Poe I wanted to get out. Twenty one years was enough. Yeah,
a post is the way we got out. Let's withdrawal.
Ours was going to be very simple. We get the
civilians out, We get others out that need to be
gotten out. That's number one. Number two is we get
our billions of dollars worth of equipment out. We don't
leave it for these people, knowing they're probably going to

(54:30):
be taken over as soon as we stop fighting, so
they'll probably be taken over and the Taliban would get it.
So number two as we take our equipment out, then
we bomb the hell out of the basis, and then
last but not least, comes out our military and everything's done,
and it would be seamless. It was simple, and a
first grade student would know you have to get your

(54:51):
Zavinians out first. But I was keeping the military. I
was keeping the military equipment. But very importantly, what they've
done is absolute loop. It's a just gross incompetence. Look,
they take the military out, and now who knows what
they're going to be able to get out? Who knows
because the Taliban has totally taken over and we have

(55:13):
maybe as many as forty five thousand people, they're forty
five thousand hostages. So it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
You get your people. That's like the captain of a
ship jumping the ship before the people are off the boat.
That's what we did. It's crazy. Nobody, a first grade
student would not do that.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
Mister President. Given the current status of Afghanistan where we
are right now, and it is a maus, it is
a disaster. If they call you in to fix it,
what could be done? How could we fix.

Speaker 6 (55:43):
I had a relationship with a leader, you know, I
get criticized by some of the radical lefts oh. He
called them, well, who are you going to call? And
you call the people you're against. And I had a
very strong conversation with him and then Abdul and I said, look,
here's the story. If you do anything to hurt him Americans,
anything that's out of line, we're going to hit you
at your town and we're going to hit you harder

(56:05):
than anybody's ever been hit before. And we got that
out of the way, and I said, you understand that,
and he said, yes, I understand that, and he did.
He understood it. It would have been a hole. Had
the election not been rigged, this would have been we
would be in a whole different position right now. We
had the strongest border and now it's the weakness border.

(56:25):
We had energy at a dollar eighty seven for a
gallon of gasoline. Now it's going to be over five dollars.
I mean, it's so sad to see. And then you
have the Afghanistan. It makes everything look I mean, nobody's
ever seen anything like this stupidity. It would have been
a whole different story. All of this stuff. Our economy
is going to go to hell. So many things are happening. Inflation,

(56:47):
I mean the inflation we have is now through the roof.
So you look at it and it's too bad and
all because the election was rigged and it's a shame
and the people of Alabama know it better than anybody.

Speaker 3 (56:59):
Well, there's no doubt there's a huge passion for the
way that you performed as president. Uh And certainly the
state of Alabama is one of those pockets that there's many.
So can you explain though, because I think we have
to educate Why do we see the inflation we see now?
Why do we see the gas prices we see now

(57:20):
as opposed to when your administration was there. What did
they undo that your administration did that gave us those things?

Speaker 6 (57:27):
Well, I'd have to speak to you for about five hours, right.

Speaker 8 (57:31):
Well, some of the basic stuff.

Speaker 5 (57:32):
Well, first of all, the drilling the border.

Speaker 6 (57:34):
I mean, we had stay in Mexico. We had all
these people coming out there emptying their prisons into our country.
They're doing everything and and I have I had this
really powerful policy stay in Mexico. They ended that, they
ended catch and you know the catch and release that
I ended. That's where you catch even a prisoner or

(57:54):
a convict, and you release them, you're supposed to release
them into our country. I ended that, and it was
you had to go through litigation for two years, but
I got all of this stuff ended. Many of the
things I did they want to put back or they
have put back, and we now have the most open,
porous border that we've ever had, where criminals are coming

(58:14):
into our country totally unchecked. But if you look at
the inflation, it all starts with fuel prices. What they've
done to the energy. We were energy independent six months ago,
and now we're I just so where the other day
they called up Opek. Here we go again. They called
up Opek to try and get more energy sent to

(58:35):
our country, and we had so much, even filled up
the national oil reserves, which were practically empty during my time,
at a very cheap price because the energy was so low.
So we had this thing running like a fine, finely
tuned watch. And now with leadership, I've never realized how
important the top person, the president would be. You know,

(58:59):
you're assume it's of important, that we all know it's important,
But the decisions made here are absolutely horrendous. And I'll
be talking about that on Saturday. Night in the Great State.
I mean, I'll be in Alabama, and I love Alabama,
so I guess we have a big crowd coming. But
we'll be talking about everything together. And like I say,

(59:21):
your listeners, they get it. They get it more than
just about anybody.

Speaker 5 (59:25):
Mister President. With the COVID still raging on, we got
the variants under your plan warp speed, these vaccines were developed.
Talk to us just a little bit about that. Do
you feel the vaccines are safe? And are you urging
people to be vaccinated or not?

Speaker 6 (59:44):
Yeah? Number one, I want them to have their freedom,
so if it's truly going to be their choice and
they work with their doctor, et cetera. But I took
it and it's really a great et evement. You know,
in nineteen seventeen we had the Spanish fluid. It killed
up to one hundred million people. If we didn't come
up with a vaccine, the same thing would have happened.
So I tell them to take it. You know, I

(01:00:05):
got it done in less than nine months. It was
supposed to take five years. And Fauci, I'm sure you
like Fauci quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Yea.

Speaker 6 (01:00:14):
Fauci sort of gave up in the project He said,
there's just no way you're gonna do it fast enough.
And I got the FDA, who were a very bureaucratic,
to put it nicely, organization, they don't like me too much,
but I got them to move and we got it
done in nine months. We bought billions of dollars worth
of it early, and it was you know, it's been amazing.

(01:00:34):
It's been really amazing, but you know, some people it
was it was very hurtful when Biden went out and said, uh,
let's pause. You know they pause. They don't like Johnson
and Johnson, I guess, but they paused at Johnson to
Johnson vaccine and that hurt because people don't think of
Johnson and Johnson they think of a vaccine. That pause
was very very bad by them. And I think people

(01:00:56):
don't trust Biden. That's why they're not taking it. Because
if you remember when I was in we were not
having this problem. Everybody was rushing to get it. But
I think people don't trust Biden, and that's what the problem.

Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
Do you also think what it is?

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Do you also think they don't trust Fauci because there's
more and more people you in the beginning, you know,
you said, all right, this is the guy. We'll let
him talk. But it seemed that you lost your trust
in Fauci. Give us your view of doctor Fauci.

Speaker 6 (01:01:23):
Well, I thought he was great from the standpoint that
everything he said I did the opposite of and could
work as well. I closed up the border, as you know,
with China, which everybody was against, including him, Sue. I
then closed up Europe. We would have lost hundreds of
other We were projected to lose two point four million

(01:01:43):
people and we're at six hundred thousand. It's too much,
but we were projected to lose much more had we
let China pour into our country if I didn't close it.
And almost everybody was against me closing and I was
there Pelosi, everybody. They called me a racist and everything
else in the book, you know, their standard fair. But

(01:02:03):
people were opposed to it. You know, there was a
big move. But it turned out to be right, and
even Fauci said, I saved tens of thousands of lives
by closing the border. And then we closed it to
your aposo because we saw Italy and we saw France,
so we saw, you know, Spain what was happening. So
we closed it but no, I did a lot of
things opposite. You remember when Fauchi said no masks, masks

(01:02:25):
are bad, and now he's a radicalized mask here. I mean,
if you wear five masks, that's a good thing. So
it's uh, you know, he's changed a lot. He really
has changed. But you know I did a lot of
things that were different. I listened to a lot of people,
and then I won my own opinion.

Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
Basically, mister President, a lot of us are very confused
because Twitter has banned you, but they still have the
Taliban own Can you can you give us any guidance
on that?

Speaker 6 (01:02:53):
Well, these are radical left maniacs and they have to be.
They should be close to band. I mean, what they've
done is incredible to our country. What they do is
just horrible and incredible. Do you have killers, you have murderers,
you have thugs, you have bad dictators, you have bad people,
you have bad countries. And then they banned the president

(01:03:14):
of the United States who came up with the vaccine
and lots of other good things. And so you know,
it's not only them, it's Facebook and it's Google and
that whole group. They're all the same. They worked together
and they helped to really try and skew the election.
But we got seventy five million votes, more than any
sitting president in history by far. It wasn't even close,

(01:03:37):
and twelve million more than we got the previous in
twenty sixteen. So I was told, if we get one
million more votes, just one million, we win. We got
twelve million, and they say we didn't win, but the
people know we did win. So you know, it's just
a terrible thing. It was a rigid deal.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Well, President, one final question, and we'll let you go
if you do end up. If say you do decide
to run again and you get a chance, is there
anything you do different?

Speaker 6 (01:04:06):
No, I may get to Alabama a little bit sooner.
I'll make sure that with that question. You'll be my
first you'll be my first call. But you guys have
been great. No, Look what we did is I rebuilt
the military. By the way, space force I sent to Alabama.

Speaker 5 (01:04:25):
I hope you know that, Yes, and we appreciate that,
very appreciative.

Speaker 6 (01:04:29):
Yeah. They said that we're looking for a home, and
I sing, no, handedly said let's go to Alabama. They
wanted it. I said, let's go to Alabama. So look,
I love Alabama. I love what they're doing. But we've
done a lot, rebuilt the military, and the biggest tax
cuts in history, biggest regulation cuts in history, and created
the greatest economy in the history of our world.

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
Donald Trump, thanks for being with us today, President, and
thank you for your service to the country.

Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
You're gonna love calm in Alabama.

Speaker 8 (01:04:58):
Yeah, your country, Trump.
