Real Greg Bird just birthday bash today, fifty three years
of Greg. And you know, I really honestly know since
Greg how he was as a little boy. Today's the
day we really should be saying congratulations and celebrating my mother,
not Greg, but God loved that woman for all she's
been through with you. I mean, let me tell you something.

(00:39):
You're a good man, but you were a terrible child already.
H Well, I mean no, you were, but you were
a handful.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
But you have to you have to look at the
environment you replaced in.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
There we go again. Yep, did I make that puppy
mean Bubba?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
You did? You played too roughly?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Nice snaps, So, Eddie van Adler, you know kind of
Greg's Greg's been your nemesis a little bit. He has
he has, right and uh, and there's no we've seen
a bit of bitterness, uh from you toward Greg for sure?
For sure? Right and uh but you today. Want to
honor Greg and you and you brought in reinforcements former

(01:19):
intern Coco. Yep, let's go do on, guys. I want
to bring it up the last time you two together
very well, well boys, yeah, but yoah, what was it? Newsboys?
What was it? Boys? Newsboys? Did not land, I didn't
come back. So it took him this long to how long?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
When was that last performance?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
That was right at the beginning of the year February?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
They remember every third It's burned, It's burned into their mind.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
Quits comedy comedy.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
So anyway, so you guys have a birthday song for
Greg today? We do?

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Uh, we do, indeed, So here it is Greg, Today's
your birthday.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Who cares not me?

Speaker 5 (02:11):
On a scale of important things, you are a three.
There are so many things I care much more about.
I offer no gifts, no cardinal kindness, and no clouds.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I don't want to box you, Greg.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
Like the Thriller in Manila, if you got attacked by Harambe,
I'd help the gorilla. I wouldn't show up to you
a party if you sent a personal invitation, Greg, I'd
rather be seen at Hitler's in curation.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
What you thought about that again.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
What Greg likes to sleep on his office couch quite
a lot, which makes sense. But at home he sleeps
on his couch whether he likes it or not.

Speaker 7 (02:58):
Greg Burgess, He's the.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Man laying power lines with the natty in his hand.
He's a grandpappy and everyone's friend. But if you make
him mad, he'll tell you the kisses rear end.

Speaker 7 (03:14):
So let's all sing Rick this together.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Gregg, it's your birthday. We wish we liked you better.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
You wear cargo shorts like you work at the docks,
and gonna make it even worse you wear them with crocs.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Greg Burgess. He does what he wants, like leaving in
the middle of boring segments.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Greg's your birthday. We hate you quite a lot. You're
the human equivalent of a stolen parking spot. The flatulant
sinks like that of a skunk, and everyone knows you
love getting wrong. How much Rick older and still has
more hair. It's like God brings you with a can
of neir. Greg does the work of two half men,
but he has six and turns to it for him.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
He's gag birches.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
He thinks he's the man lame power with the natty
and now he's a grand pappy and everyone's friend.

Speaker 7 (04:06):
But if you make him mad, he'll tell you the
kisses rear end. So let's all sing this together.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Greg's your birthday. We wish we'd liked you better. Greg.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
You're never there for me when I'm stuck in an
emotional rut. You're less comforting than using sandpaper on my butts.
The movie Blackfish featured a real sad shamoo. It turns
out the whale got even satur when he was hanging
out with you, hanging out with Greg or stepping in
dog Dude, Greg, your personality hasn't actually made it hard

(04:39):
to choose.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
Here's a list of things we like better than you.

Speaker 8 (04:46):
Coord Hoole on ESPN, shirtless dudes at the gym, referees
taking hours to review a play, any music that's made
by just a DJ. Vanilla Ice mc hammer, people who
correct my.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
A fright boy on guitar playing wonder a wall, women
playing basketball, girls.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Who break my heart, A creepy guy talking about.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Art, getting stabbed in the back by a friend, having
a catheter put in.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
Burt's in my face playing Fortnite. The liberal media and
the alt right.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Stuffing my toe bugs in my bed, knowing one day
will all be dead.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
These other things we like more than Craig.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
He's Greg Burgas he thinks he's the man laying power
lines with the natty in his hand.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
Now he's a grandpappy and everyone's friend.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
But if you make him mad, okay.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
In let's all sing this together.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Greg, is your birthday? We wish we liked you better.
Stop what. I feel like I've accomplished everything with these too.

Speaker 9 (06:00):
I intended to do.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Like I was hoping that. Yeah, they've gotten better, hadn't they?
You know what's funny? They did that, but it was
real long. I mean they had a lot of stuff.
Try out half.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
What you're saying is they put a lot of thought
into it.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah, you know we saw from the heart that was therapy.
That that that stuff. He was just good.

Speaker 9 (06:21):
I like the wrap part, the rat part is good.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Also, I guess I get Greg's birthday present of some
water because we don't know what that voice.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I don't know what's happening.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Is it just stream newsboy?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Oh we got away from the hacky stuff good.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
I was.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
I wanted to end like back to back with our
arms crossed.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
But Nick Nes did. He said we shouldn't do that.
Oh Dan, I'm glad y'all did a good one to
make up for that last one. Thanks y'all taking my
voice or something. Tear to a glass eye, Yeah, maybe
it's a tear jerky. We are excited to get the opportunity.
Rarely get a as to talk to some of the

(07:01):
older children from Rick and Bubba history.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
On the program.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
When you hear you're too busy now Rick, you hear
from the younger ones.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
College National Championship game.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
You hear from the little ones quite a bit on
the program. But you know, I have my only daughter
as twenty one years old. I have four sons, one
daughter twenty one years old. Now you might remember the
early days of her being on the program. And this
past December turned twenty one. And also we'll be performing

(07:29):
in the Crucible in Philadelphia as Elizabeth Proctor at the
Merriam Theater March twenty fourth through the twenty six Those
tickets are available if you're going to be in the
Philadelphia area, get to go by and see her in
a great cast in the Crucible, which we are excited
and proud of her for forgetting that role, and she

(07:50):
joined us by Skytt Brandy.

Speaker 9 (07:51):
How are you today?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Hi, Dad?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Hey, how you doing.

Speaker 10 (07:56):
I'm a little sick. If I'm feeling better today?

Speaker 3 (07:58):
I know, I know, you know. And we've got a
lot of that going on. We got to get you
well for the big trip this weekend. Now here's the
good news.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
He been hanging out with Adler?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I hope not, because Adler is up here with with
with some credit. Is he sick?

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Is he gone?

Speaker 9 (08:10):
I hope so, I hope he is.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
He's gone to.

Speaker 10 (08:14):
Guard both and Algae Medicine.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, there we go. Let me let me say this, honey,
and I want you to know that I've got good
news and bad news. Okay. The good news is if
you get well, you can still go.

Speaker 9 (08:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
The bad news is if you don't come along, I'm
gonna say you take it for five grand.

Speaker 10 (08:32):
As long as the five grand goes back into my
account for Philly, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Now somehow I figured it ended up there anyway. All right,
I know that you you have been studying, uh you know,
to be an actress for for a couple of years,
and uh we just talked about you. You're getting some
work as an actress, which we're all very proud of.
And one of the things that you were talking to
Sherry and I about was, uh, that you've learned how

(08:57):
to lose your your southern dialect a little bit. And
now I did. I did acknowledge that you sure did that.
Like you hadn't learned anything. You found out you could
get a roll in to kill a walking bird. Suddenly
you became a small town Alabama real quick.

Speaker 10 (09:10):
Yes, I might have even told them that we were
from the same time as Harperlea. But it's fine.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
He was close close.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
So so Greg, Now I want you to listen to this, Brandy, listen,
but I'm a fan down after it? Does it you
like that? I want you to listen to this.

Speaker 11 (09:28):
I hate to say this, but I don't find we
got tools here to pull this off.

Speaker 9 (09:31):
And and then this some tweezers get hold of all right.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Now, okay, there's uncle Greg, and I don't know what
the technical term for it is, but we all suffer
from it.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Here. I think Greg's guilty of vocal jaywalking.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
He cut the corner a little quick. You're right, You're
right the way, all right. So so Brandy, first of all,
tell Uncle Bob, Uncle Greg, Uncle Speedy some of the
things you've learned that you actually have to learn to
shape your mouth different ways, to use different doll it correct.

Speaker 10 (10:02):
Yes, sophomore year we learned Standard American and we do
all these like crazy exercises which I have some warm
ups for Greg and and then we have to learn
the vowel placement and constant placement, like where they sit
in the mouth, because for Southern it's like back in
the throat, but for standard American it's right in the
middle of the mouth. And so especially for me, I

(10:25):
had to learn like some words I thought were three
syllables are actually only one syllable, and singer is you
don't pronounce the g on it and win and ten
are different words and pronounced differently.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
So yeah, now show them some of the dial it,
like how how there's a difference between New York versus
Boston versus New Jersey. Show them some of those. That
was amazing.

Speaker 10 (10:50):
Okay, let me I need something to read.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Missy find some shampoo bolers and Greg watch watch how
watch how she could get She's moving sound around an.

Speaker 10 (11:02):
American Girl magazine. I'm going read. Okay, here we go
so I'll do when do I start with New York?

Speaker 9 (11:07):
New York first?

Speaker 10 (11:09):
Okay, bring home your bitty baby, soft and huggable bitty
baby dolls come in five skinned, eye and hair color combinations.
Choose your little one and she'll arrived with a plush
bitty bear in a memory book and ready for love.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
But there's a difference between that and like Jersey, is
that the one you were telling us?

Speaker 10 (11:31):
Well, this is that? That was like the standard New York,
And then we would learn like if you did like
old we learned Southern, like you know old Southern, it
would be bring home your bitty baby, soft and huggable
bitty baby dolls come in five skin, eye and hair
color combinations. Choose your little one and she'll arrive with
a plush bitty bear and a memory book and read

(11:51):
it for love.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Nation always use that movies. I don't know anybody South
Alabama a little bit you. Greg. Let's Greg is what
they call country, right, Brandy? What they call Greg?

Speaker 10 (12:07):
I think it's redneck.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
The old Southern is what fog horn leg horn and
south elected officials. All right, all right, Brandy show Greg.
Now give a standard American and see if we can
get Greg's mouth to do that. I want you to
tell me what I sound like.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Go for Greg's line that he did in standard English.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Okay, I'm gonna pan down after it does it. He goes,
I'm panned down after it does it.

Speaker 10 (12:38):
I'm going to pan down after he does It's try Greg,
open your mouth?

Speaker 3 (12:45):
What part of mouth am I talking again? Brandy? For
that front, you need.

Speaker 10 (12:48):
To open your mouth to relax your draw.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Huh, and try to just make your sounds longer, longer.
I'm going to pan down after it does it.

Speaker 10 (13:00):
That's that's not bad. Does does?

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Does? Does? Not?

Speaker 9 (13:07):
Does?

Speaker 5 (13:08):
You?

Speaker 4 (13:10):
You're fighting your mouth, fighting your jaw?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Does do? Say it again?

Speaker 9 (13:15):
Brandy?

Speaker 10 (13:16):
Does?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Does?

Speaker 9 (13:19):
Does?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Where does this?

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Let's let's hear your redneck?

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Do you have a red neck brand?

Speaker 10 (13:25):
Okay? Yes? Ringing home your bitty baby soft and huggable
bitty baby dolls coming five skin and that hair colors
and combinations. She's your windle one show Rye with the
plush bitty bear and the memory book Ready for love.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Say if you notice that you never opened your mouth,
I've never seen your mouth open.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
That's the down line.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Pan dow, pan down in red neck Brandy as a
as a as a redneck woman.

Speaker 10 (13:49):
Wait, what is it?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
He's talking about a camera and he says, I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Give her the tools.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Are you ready to do tools here? Let's do tools here.
You listen to this, Brandy, and then and then see
if you can can teach what he's doing wrong.

Speaker 9 (14:01):
See if you can do here? We go.

Speaker 11 (14:02):
I hate to say this, but I don't think we've
got tools here to pull this off.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
I hate to say this, but I don't think we
got the tools here to pull this off.

Speaker 10 (14:09):
But yeah, you just you don't have your mouth open
and you like lock it in your jaws. You have
to bring it forward.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
See if you can do it, Brandy, do this.

Speaker 10 (14:18):
It looks like you're putting it in your lips. I
don't think we have the tools.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
People think I've lost my mind. I don't think we
have the tools. That's better, isn't it? Yes? I mean, Brandy,
can you do redneck?

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I don't think we got the tools to pull this off.

Speaker 10 (14:33):
I don't think we got the tools to pull us off.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Like you said, if you play and they have like
the old country uncle otis, will you let me come
dry it? For the part I believe but what's funny.
You would think a Southern accent would be slower and
drawn out. It's really if you do country rednick, it's chopped.

Speaker 9 (14:51):
It's chopped.

Speaker 10 (14:53):
He just kind of like mush all the words into one.
But with standard American you have to give pause for
each word, the syllables.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
And don't forget she classified. This is redneck? She did? Okay,
just go ahead and get rid. She's learning this and uh,
now you know, what are some other some other things
you've had to learn. I'm sure there's English that the British.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
And we learned received pronunciation, and you want to hear
that upper class.

Speaker 9 (15:21):
British, Upper class British.

Speaker 10 (15:22):
Okay, bring home your bitty baby, Soft and Huggable. Bitty
Baby dolls come in five skin iron hair color combinations.
Choose your little one and she'll arrive with a plush
bitty bear and a memory book and ready for love.

Speaker 9 (15:36):
Very good.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
What about the cut a little bit like? Can you
do low class British?

Speaker 12 (15:40):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah, oh yeah, which is redneck?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Babe?

Speaker 10 (15:42):
Baby Soft and Nuggable by Baby dolls come in five
skin iron air color combinations. Choose your little one and
she'll arrive with the plash bitty baby bear in a
memory book. I'm ready for love.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
It's British redneck.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
You know what I started to say. You sound like
you're from southern Britain.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
That's right, sir, seriously is And if I was British,
that's how I would New York, New York, one more time,
New York, one more time, New York. That's my whole problem.
I don't want my mouth.

Speaker 10 (16:10):
Well, uncle Greg, you know you got to just open
your mouth. You know, just when you're down there in
the South, you don't know what you're saying. You disclose
your mouth. I can't understand what you're saying. You know,
you just need to open your mouth.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
So you talk like fran Dresher when she was on.

Speaker 10 (16:28):
Very like stereotypical version.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
And what about now you did one New Jersey level
you said, hampshy you and all that is that is?
That is that New Jersey.

Speaker 10 (16:36):
It's more like like Bronx Brooklyn. You know Joyce's.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
I like the head, but but the actually they actually
teach that how you Brady's right in that camera. I
noticed that what she goes New York, it brings you
get right of it. You know why she gets she's acting.
She did British back then. I know you know why,
because New Yorker is getting your face. The brids don't right,
that's right, brand I got this. I mean it's hopeless.

(17:02):
But if I will just open my mouth more, it
will help. Where does the sound? Where's the sounding to
come from?

Speaker 10 (17:08):
What you say? I've got this?

Speaker 3 (17:10):
What's I gotta say? I've yeah, I do cut words.
You're right about that. I do that. Open your mouth
up open. I'm gonna start opening my mouth more. You're
gonna think say.

Speaker 10 (17:22):
Ten T I N and then ten T E N
and sound different.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Ten ten tan tan tan like.

Speaker 10 (17:31):
Suntan and see.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
I think they're the same word. Ten and I count
to ten.

Speaker 13 (17:37):
Yeah, that's a different word. I know it's ten and
ten ten and ten yeah and nine ten.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
We got a radio show nine ten. I'm practical light,
I'm gonna practice. I'm gonna start scabbing in Philadelphia. We're
gonna work on that, Brandy. Thank you, Brandy. That you change.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
I hope your dad doesn't sell your ticket.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Thank you, Brandy. I will work on it to pronounce better.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Frices. We're moving in the fire in Mississippi.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Hey, Brandy, get better for I say your ticket, I love.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You, ricking bubba, ricking bubba.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
It is the real Greg Burgess's birthday weekend. And of
course we're trying to make a big deal out of
it because we know how much he loves his birthday
to be celebrated as an adult. Yes, that's sure. And
we found childhood nemesis and old friend Gerald Kate's Kate's
welcome to the program.

Speaker 14 (18:32):
Buddy, Oh hey, good morning.

Speaker 9 (18:35):
I know that you do. You want to sing Happy
birthday to your old little friend Greg.

Speaker 14 (18:40):
Listen, I tell you, you know, Rick, it's been a pleasure.
I guess for forty five I guess I've known Greg

Speaker 14 (19:06):

him tell Greg ha the birthday. Hold on happy birthday, buddy,
hold the.

Speaker 16 (19:35):
Phone right here, already just hit it happyday.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
The phone couldn't handle it.

Speaker 14 (20:08):
Hey, And another fact and another thing that I want
to do, oh for Greg, I thought of this. Listen.
I know he loves baby blow because he's always loved
that little color. And hey, and I was gonna say
this to him, boy, the Greg interesting you brother, for
your birthday? Baby blue was the color of green shirt?

(20:29):
Baby blue? Where's his birthday cake?

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Too?

Speaker 12 (20:34):
Like a breath of springs, Grig came around and I
stealed the wise. Here's too Greg and his baby blue
he loves too.

Speaker 14 (20:45):
Well if he did listen here, Greg, listen when I
hang up this phone and I don't have phone service
down here. I had to stop before we got him
here to the job. But what I want you to
do for me and Glenn when I get back in
his truck is talk to us in your commercial. Boy,

(21:08):
it's just text, you know. I tell you you can't.
We heard, we heard that commercial you have to tay
about Sarah? They started. I swear to goodness it was
it was all I can do to hold it in
the road.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
You want to go by the sign, didn't you, I think, Glenn?

Speaker 14 (21:22):
Do you think Greg's got a little piece of note
paper right there?

Speaker 17 (21:26):
Please?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
He loves ready and boys. He went made you want
to go buy a car from Sarah. I know that.

Speaker 14 (21:35):
I tell you the next time I trade, I want
to say that my maca Billy runs Cooper Chevrolet. I understand,
you know what, because they treat you like family.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
They did.

Speaker 14 (21:57):
They tell you my brother and uh. I love y'all.
Y'all have a good day, man, and I'll check back
here with you.

Speaker 3 (22:04):

Speaker 14 (22:33):
You're talking about a little tempered from many throws. I
ain't never witness one by no kid. My kids didn't
remember acted like that. I wanted to explain to y'all.

Speaker 5 (22:44):

Speaker 4 (22:46):
If you excuse how do we know he'll be accurate?

Speaker 3 (22:48):

Lost it. One of the things we do here every
day is Greg, you know how to get everything started
and here commercials make sure they're in. Get us hell
hooked up with the satellite. We'll watch on the TV
cameras because he don't know the cameras are showing him
down the hall on the street, and we'll watch him
here getting mad and pitching fits and talking to himself,
throwing his hands up, pointing at computers. You have got

(23:11):
to you.

Speaker 9 (23:11):
Got you got to see it.

Speaker 14 (23:13):
I got to see that. Listen, uh and Ricky, what
what you ain't gonna never call me again? I mean,
I told Greg the other day I said that gone,
I said, I said, I ain't heard from Ricking two
three years. I said, out of sight, out of mind,
I know, I said, Wait, buters, rick can't call. I mean,
my gosh, but listen, I'm gonna come. Is it this
Sunday or the next Sunday? You're gonna be down at
the bridge.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
I think it's next Sunday, Yeah, next sun next Sunday.

Speaker 14 (23:37):
Well, Hammer's calling me and told me it's gonna be
down there, and I'm gonna try my best. All right,
bring the whole bunch down there?

Speaker 9 (23:42):
Are good?

Speaker 3 (23:43):
You want great deal? Commercial about it? I could?

Speaker 14 (23:45):
I want. I wanted just to talk to me like
like we're talking right now when I get back in
the truck, because I got you lad clear on the radio.
I want him just to talk to me and Glenn.
It's commercial.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I don't know if I do that.

Speaker 14 (24:00):
Just just that like you just you know, just like
like like you're just talking to us.

Speaker 12 (24:04):
A little bit.

Speaker 14 (24:05):
Just give me about fifteen seconds a commercial voice and
you'll be made.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
That's all well or whatever, Joey be plad you got
friends that love you enough.

Thinking of Whereto Blue, which reminds me sportzarnges of terror,
orbyl names four radio shows.

Speaker 10 (26:47):
How do you spell the word tzars? Most people still
don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
This is when the song get serious.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
Greg like affect Her loves Cake, Greg, I love you.

Speaker 22 (27:01):
Like Speedy loves that burn you get in your throat
when you take a real nice drag, Greg, I love you.

Speaker 11 (27:09):
Like Cookie manst loves cookies, Greg me love you.

Speaker 10 (27:15):
Like Marta Stewart loves lemons.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Have y'all seen that clever?

Speaker 20 (27:50):
I almost forgot he works here.

Speaker 10 (27:53):
Man, almost forgot.

Speaker 7 (27:55):
It's your birthday, Yeah, Grass.

Speaker 10 (27:59):
Your phone in if.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
But but you know, it's very rare now in the
world of emails and Facebook pages and Twitter and all this,
that we actually, you know, receive written letters from from
the normal mail. And it's even stranger we read them,
you know, back in the old days that you know,
you sit down, if you're a host, you'd read your letters, right, Well,
we don't. We don't. I mean the mail we get
now mainly these people send us things that we need

(28:26):
for work. Well, you know, you don't get personal letters
in the mail. Very much, unless they're real personal. They
want to be handwritten by But this one and this one,
I think you'll you'll like a lot. Okay.

Speaker 9 (28:42):
To the staff on the phone, you do, okay? No,
you know great's trying to run from this letter.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
You know we're asess the girl tied to it, to this,
to this. He's avoiding this lettering letter O. I know
he's saying things. Whatever he's saying, just to ignore it
because I'm gonna anything on the phone. Yeah, I'm a
translator for you. The only way he messed up is
not standing outside like he was on the phone. He

(29:10):
came in here thinking that would work. Yeah, uh bubba
to the staff of the Rick and Bobo s. This
is the letter. It's the letter the girls in our
office have determined. And they put in parentheses for a fact,
for a fact with an exclamation morning and what are
they in the middle of uh?

Speaker 9 (29:27):
In parentheses?

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Okay, I just want to check that that bad in
it bad that when your children teach you how to
say words like I don't ever say DVD and where
I say dvdv DJ, which is the way my little
hey you got a dB little boys said it. The
girls in our office have determined for a fact, for
a fact, that Lisa Burgess is the absolutely luckiest in capital.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
Letters girl in the world.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Exclamation. You might want to check with her on that
we listen to your show each morning, that she's got
a different story. Now here care comes their credentials. We
are in our late twenties, thirties, and two of us
are forty two ages. Again, they're their late twenties, thirties
and two of them forty two.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
All the trades would be just barely older than your daughter.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Go ahead, late twenties, late twenties, five years older than barely,
just barely, And that's true. Unfortunately, that's one go ahead
and the yeah. And they have done they and we
have done so for several years. And we were excited
when Greg came to the show full time. Not just
special phone calls every now and then, are are are

(30:31):
just special appearances. Listen to this.

Speaker 9 (30:34):
He is one devilishly handsome guy, devil.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Devilishly devilishly parenthesis when he wears those devils, when he
wore those jeans and western shirt.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Speeding, somebody rolled, I want to be a cowboy.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Someingte this. Listen. We love again capitalized we love the
way Greg talks and I we love the the, the, the,
the care free lingo that drives girls crazy. Say it
Greg lingo. What really makes us mad is when when

(31:15):
what really makes us mad, this again in parentheses makes
us What makes us mad is when people try to
correct or change him exclamation point change now, look speed,
here's what he says. Look, yes, yes, Rick is handsome
and fun with personality plus and speedy is charming, good
looking and used to be a player. Not now Mary Terry.

(31:37):
But you can but you can tell when they put
this in capitalists that he that he definitely was a
player before marriage. Bubba is nice. Bubba's nice and very
smart on a lot of things. But Greg makes the
program for us. Don't change him. Let him speak and
act the way that makes all the girls love him.

(31:57):
I'm one, two, three, four exclamation point.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I must interject here from a point of reference.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Well, y'all want to do stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
They think I'm the smart one.

Speaker 9 (32:06):
Okayybody, Okay, that won't bring it up?

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Right?

Speaker 9 (32:12):
You are very yeah, Greg, Greg is devilishly handsome, Rick please.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Devilous, devilishly inside three times.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
And Greg talks Architectural Review and the way Greg talks
drives us girls crazy. That right there, I'll tell you
the whole thing is a farce.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
Look look at him. He got up there and dropped his.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
We all agree when the ladies call and say Greg
is fine, Rick please, I'm just reading the letter Greg.
And look look they've all signed their names. Look at
I mean the office signed Greg.

Speaker 14 (32:46):
You fine thing.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
And let me see the way they wrote that too.
Look at the names of wa they wrote.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Walk around whatever.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Greg.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Let me tell you something. You have become eye candy
for the women listening to the show.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Because when Speedy got old, Ladies, unless you're driving, close
your eyes.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Gray's gonna talk. Okay, have you fun? That's all I'm saying.
I'll tell you what. Look, I'm gonna stirm it right now. Yeah, yeah,
it's complete set. I'm gonna do it. I didn't. It's
like that commercial the other day. I thought the copy
was real, that you had rewritten Speedy. Is I mean,
Bubby you're looking.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Letter?

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yes, I wouldn't talk about my players. Listen, all right, ladies, Ladies,
right now, if you're driving, don't close your eyes, but listen.
But I'm gonna pan down after it does.

Speaker 11 (33:29):
I hate to say this, but I don't find we
got tools here to pull this off. Some tweezers get hold.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Of Yes, that's pretty awesome, isn't it? Ladies, y'all? OK?
All right?

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Look at them fanning her one screaming for tools, the
only one who's not the only one who's not fanning herselves.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
And when it brought her husband, she knows she can't.
I'm just trying to divert something Grags tried so hard
to get us stuff. Am I'm making the letter up
in your hand. If you've seen the copy speed he's
given me for some commercials and completely mad. I was

(34:09):
actually recording and he made it up completely. Some of
the parts you you left out. I had dadd and something. Rick,
would you give me a favor? And every lady out there,
would you let Greg take us to break?

Speaker 9 (34:20):
Greg take us to break?

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Know what that means?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
You look, just take us to break? And I don't
know what that means. Talk to all the ladies. I'm
not playing with y'all. I've had you fine, enjoy it.
Just take us to break, ready, I don't know what
to do. I say, when we come back, I'll take
your phone calls. So we come back. We'll take your
phone calls. And what's our number? Eight six six. We
be eight six six, We be big. Now say it's
your regular way.

Speaker 9 (34:44):
Now, don't try to.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Now you're looking at his body again again. Say check
our website Rickingbubba dot Tim Say this Huntsvile book signing tonight,
Huntible books that night somewhere in Huntsvile. Say some come
see me. We're gonna have to get security for Greg. Miranda.
Welcome to the program. How are you, Miranda?

Speaker 17 (35:07):
Miranda?

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Yes? Are you okay?

Speaker 23 (35:10):
No?

Speaker 3 (35:10):
This is Melinda, Melinda, Okay, I'm sorry here.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Bad the mail lady.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
The other day. Are you the male lady that wanted
John Thomas to do the ring tome for you?

Speaker 10 (35:20):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (35:21):
Yeah, easy, turned it down now, okay, delivery mail. Hey
look look you need to take that extra knob and
turn it to the left a little bit now. Oh yeah,
So so all right, so what's going on?

Speaker 14 (35:35):
Okay? I was just calling in to till Grace.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
If all these threeople are jumping on him today, I'll
give him.

Speaker 21 (35:43):
Him a hug.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
And I was son charged twenty dollars for it, but
I'd take one of those real nice freaking.

Speaker 17 (35:51):
Bubba shirts for it.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
You're really really good, because that's about twenty dollars for
it easy. So I mean you're not talking about of
a I mean you're talking about a sure enough, really
good hug, like five Mississippi above a hug. That's what
we like to call it, as long it's just our
top part. Well she just used the top part. God,

(36:19):
I wouldn't be imagining anything else right, right, because if not,
it ceases then to be a hug.

Speaker 10 (36:26):
Yeah, and now.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Somebody's getting charged with something that's a word for the
loss fall. I have a word for it.

Speaker 15 (36:35):
I'm not gonna use you better. I beg I'm asking you, please,
you better not I'm begging you. Don't know, Greg, No,
hey for twenty dollars.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
You know we're streaming, Greg. I know you want to
make us laugh, don't. I got to live off past.
You got it stream club memberies Man got chewed it up.
Remember everything we say here takes on life of what's
on for at least three four days. I'm clear of it.
I was in his owne where I was about to
say it, and I know I can see I saw
your face. He still wants to work it in. No, Yeah,

(37:09):
well what it is? So we get to trying to win,
you know, we're trying to win the contest amongst ourselves. Yeah,
and we forget people actually watching and listening somewhere. Somebody's
depending on her for mail. She's a happy little thing.
I bet, I bet going to get your mail is interesting.
I just sent your group. Yeah, if you try to

(37:31):
text Greg whatever, whatever amount of time that took, it's
wasted from ever get it back by looking at your phone.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
There's no way to tell.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
I can by no form of the question. Okay, maybe
so Greg claims he can tell when he's on the group,
and I can tell about what the question.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
See if y'all just got everybody got minor? Just Rick alight,
I'm so loved Rick. By the way, I ain't got
it you.

Speaker 9 (37:52):
It was just a it comes, it was just a test.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
You misspell Handy by the way.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Al Right, I got back from Bubba trying to Handy.
Watch I got Did everybody see Speedy say thanks sick
boy and Bubba saying hey, good, only I got it?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
I did.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
I did not see Speedy's reply.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Okay, that's right.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
Did everybody get mine, Rick, I got here.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
From the meeting the other day. You want me to
read it now?

Speaker 9 (38:17):
Greg?

Speaker 3 (38:17):
When poet was please of course you see I can
tell the kind of things that you'll look at. By
the way, Greg, I've never you look like you're very
good client.

Speaker 9 (38:29):
And I'm excited about them because.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
You does Greg not look like he's scared of the
phone when he looks at it, like when he touches it,
it's like it shocks. I don't like this, Yeah, I
mean gregs Greg spent how many years up there and
high voltage and the cell phone's gonna get it?

Speaker 9 (38:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Tell me? Just why did everybody not see my reply that.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
That's see this is an example? Why did see y'all?
Don't did y'all see Speedy's reply to me?

Speaker 16 (38:51):
No?

Speaker 3 (38:52):
No, I saw this morning. We'll see if see here's
the problem and established see if Bubba wanted to say.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
The cause, well, it's the same phone both.

Speaker 17 (38:59):
If he doesn't have group messaging, it's sent it out
as individuals.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
How do you do that? And I got all of
Bubba's he sent there. I don't think you do. I
don't think I don't think you want grip. I don't
think you want. I don't think you do.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
I don't like it because I mean, whoever, in my opinion,
whoever sending the tech it's text, it's their responsibility to
send it and not to everybody, just to one or whatever.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Because I had that deal. If I'm if I'm trying
to tell all of y'all something, I would have to
type all of y'all in every time, then right, No,
no sending out a group. I'm all for sending one out,
but I'm talking about everybody get involved in somebody.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
I mean, if I'm replying and we're kind of go
around getting there, their two cents.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Yeah, But if it's just between another person that's in
the group, and it's just y'all two going back, and
everybody else is in it, then that's when it needs.

Speaker 17 (39:44):
A message you just sent to all of us? Is
a is a great, perfect example of something you'd want
as a group message?

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Right?

Speaker 5 (39:52):
It was?

Speaker 3 (39:52):
It was Greg? Greg. You have not replied to me,
nor have you? No, I won't because it was a
group text. I want you to reply to me. Uh
and uh look at what watch here's run my list
above a texts to me. None of them are me
one of them says number six, pick is it me
with a T D?

Speaker 8 (40:12):
What he have?

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Great? You know all of them are him responding to
other people and they keep coming to me and I
have no idea. Yeah, cut text so you can see everybody.
You're missing a great, You're great. Here's what happens to me,
and it's rare. If I need to text both of them,
I just text one, then turn I text other. Well,
I'll say that text.

Speaker 9 (40:32):
That's that's the reason why I sent sending Hams the
deal last night because I don't want to do it.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Well, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, now that you know
what contact texts, well, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
If you're an iPhone person, where is that group texting options?

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Well, here's the here's the thing. Let me say what
I did one day when I was bored at sitting
waiting on one of the kids, I thought to myself,
and this has helped me on group texting big time.
I never put all of you guys in my contacts
because I know your number right and and and so
I don't want to be in that situation when I
destroy whatever phone I have, which eventually happens that if

(41:07):
somebody didn get my card or whatever. Then now all
the numbers I need are gone. I memorize, key pize,
So you just dialogue number yeah if I need to.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
But so you can sink it to your new phone.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
Yeah, well that was before it was old, scoop. I've
now made all of y'all contacts in my contact So
now group I do have you all? Have you sent
it to your computer?

Speaker 9 (41:27):
No, you tell me about I don't want to do that.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
What you don't get.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Carrec But if you if you send it to your
computer and that guy ran over tomorrow, you still got
all you know.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
Then you get a new one and just get your cat.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
But I know everybody's numbers. That there's some people's number
that I hope do get lost, Greg, Greg Centtex. I
want to look how scared you look when you send it?

Speaker 10 (41:50):
You do?

Speaker 3 (41:51):
You just hate it because you watch periods between all.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
The land Look, he only uses his index finger like
he's like he's scared. Like, go ahead, go ahead reply
to Rick, watch please watch, please watch one Mississippi three,
Mississippi four, Missippi.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
I don't you scared of a big guy. I'm getting there,
gonna cry. I just send it. Let me tell you
on this. Well, I don't like his touch screen. I
ever knowed everybody. It's got a hundred periods in it.

Speaker 9 (42:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
The only the only thing about the read text. When
you say the only thing about the touch and I
get tired of fixing it and I just send it.
The only thing about the touch screen is I can.
I can text successfully unless your text requires a Q
R O P. Then I then I'm Then I stroll
because over by the by the wall, I've got an
uder box and I never can't hit It always comes
up another letter. Oh yeah, get in there. Ham said,

(42:44):
if I cut group messaging off, does that mean I
can't out one to multiple?

Speaker 4 (42:49):
Everybody doesn't see every text?

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Correct? Correct?

Speaker 4 (42:53):
I don't like is that right distribution list?

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Why does it try to tell me what word I'm
trying to type? I know what word I'm trying and
it's wrong. That is wrong all the time. I don't
like that work. You realize that's in settings.

Speaker 10 (43:04):
You can just go.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
I've turned it off. It keeps coming back on, just
like that stupid period every time I hit two spaces.

Speaker 9 (43:09):
You ever had caps get on you and your words
have capitalbble bubba.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
I have seen some weird texts from you, by the way.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
About Look, how about this, I ain't texting any of y'all.

Speaker 14 (43:22):
Know what did you say?

Speaker 3 (43:32):
Look now it gets fired up about that? Yeah, well
probably I don't have.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
He don't know how to send a group text. You'll
get it in a minute, he sends me.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
First, I'll tell you what his spelling's Dad, I don't
know the spellings.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
Very good, and every tell his arms better, Steven, go ahead, Hey, guys.

Speaker 14 (43:54):
I wanted to tell Greg.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
Did I completely agree with him that I don't respond
to the group text messages myself? You know who's on it.

Speaker 10 (44:01):
No.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
What I'm saying is when they they're not looking, Hey Greg,
what do you think? Then I'll respond maybe, But if
he's just saying, hey guys, y'all hear this, there's no
reason for me to respond. That's it.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
I'm cutting.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
It's a wasted usually group texting or just information going
out the fact they don't really call for.

Speaker 4 (44:17):
A report and y'all got to go.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
Yeah, okay, unless you're asking, unless you're asking whoop to do?
Nobody put that on here? Whooping to do? Greg?

Speaker 17 (44:24):
A lot of times I will ask you too, something
speedy and Greg regard. No, you don't now you just wine.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Now I must spend after a clock and I have
my phone off. No, no, right after torque normally I'm driving.
Then that ain't safe. That's not true. You drive all
day pretty much. I tell you, you drive by time
I get where I'm going. Let me tell you the
one that that haunts me that I always want the
information you stop getting Natty is when Bubba in the

(44:51):
group text says something, hold me too, I've got a
meet too, And I thought, man, I want.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
To what that's a said that not anymore. But all
I'm saying is I want your group text. When I
see numbers and that there's not names and there's just
no I don't know.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Who all you've got on there, Well that's what you
ain't got to worry about, you know, because I don't
need nothing inspiring.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
If you don't want to hear all that from me,
you know what?

Speaker 3 (45:09):
You know what gets me is if I have to
replied you don't know who's on there? I God, I
tell you one thing. I hope someone's ain't going with
and you don't realize that he's on That's what I'm
talking about rix. That's why.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
Then you like a kid, you can go to group
me dot com and set up like, huh, this is
good for lacrosse, y'all need.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
You can set up group tests up to twenty five
people and you send out one text.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
Yeah, I have to have that for sports.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
If you have say, just say, I've got the calling tree.
But that's more. That can take more than you can
cast the calling tree.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (45:37):
Well I've got a text option too. Did you know that?
On the Collin try?

Speaker 4 (45:40):
Really? Which one are your own?

Speaker 3 (45:42):
It does both post? I know it's that one.

Speaker 9 (45:46):
I like Colling posts one of the dads. It's real
good at computers. I don't know what it is. I
don't know what it's called.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
All I know is this who topped in the numbers
for you?

Speaker 2 (45:55):
He did?

Speaker 4 (45:57):
I'm glad we got all this done. Real we're sorting
through technology.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
I don't understand why you don't let people do what
they do?

Speaker 9 (46:06):
Well, what's wrong that?

Speaker 3 (46:07):
That's what good coaches doing. That's leadership. Here's yeah, let
me give you all Greg. If you have a question
for me when I leave here, then you can go
ahead and text me. I don't want inspirational sayings. I
don't want to ever sit you. Yeah, text you.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
Know what that is?

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Way to look at it. You know what that is.
That's what you're text you. That is no more text
for you. You have a questions, but I don't want
inspiration call you because you won't answer that either. No
more text not that's it you. I ain't even gonna
tell my texting life. I'm sending Greg a text right
now and he's gonna love it. I'm saying goodbye to
make to him in mind.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Good b ricking bubba, ricking bubba.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
Story that we're developing.

Speaker 9 (46:54):
So, Greg, I'm watching Speedy and I don't know if
you've been giving a reprieve a reprieve, but we were
trying to get your wife, Lisa Burgess on the phone
because there's been something's happening.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
Yeah, yeah, I was trying to help. And she says
that she's looking after your grandson right now and can't call.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
He just walke up and I think he's eating bread.
She did finish it with he's got one job.

Speaker 9 (47:20):
Oh, oh, we asked you to do one thing.

Speaker 4 (47:22):
What's it happening for breakfast?

Speaker 10 (47:26):
She?

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Uh, she you know, she gets up this morning and
she drives, you know, gets up early and goes and
keeps the baby. And today's her day. So she was
going and she likes to bring stuff. You know, they
are she made soup you know, for Taylor Kelson when
they get home, and you got all these bags that
little garbage bags with stuff like I don't know, Fredo's
and stuff like that in it for the soup. Then

(47:49):
you got bringing everything you need. So hey, Greg, go
ahead and put these in the car. This was last night.
That was my job to go ahead and put these
in the car so I won't have to load them
in the morning. Then I'll just get to poted and
be ready to go. Well, also had a bag of
half eat fettuccini alfredo that was also in a in
a sandwich bag that I was going to throw in
the trash can. Okay, so at some points that's three bags.

(48:13):
To give me the three bags again, one's got the
soup in it. No, not to say we won't put
in the car yet. It's this guy like I don't
know fixings or whatever. Nickna Ones got to hop tarts
and these apple bites today. Elis just loves Okay, So
I'm going because I'm taking taking my grandson. I want
to have the things he likes. She just you know.
And then on bag number three, we have half eat

(48:35):
feare so it's trash. So she goes and drives all
the way there that gets out to get everything out,
and the knickknacked paddy wack bag with the you know, crackers,
with whatever it's in there, and there's another bag in there.
There was supposed to be pop tarts and little apple
bites and all that, but no, it's a half eat
box of fetini. So you put the garbage. I threw

(48:59):
the brand new stuff that had never been opened in
the trash. Guess what today's trash day. I took it
to the end of the road so it's gone, and
dig it out. And now she realized there's just it's
been in there all night too, that fetcini reckon it
smelled good. Uh so I got that was my text.
That was your text, Sie, It said, let me get

(49:21):
past ones where she's really mad. This is this is
how I first was in on it. Apparently when you
put stuff in my car last night. You put that
fetichini in my car and threw away the bag with
a box of pop tarts. I was bringing great, great listen.

(49:43):
I said, I'm sorry, I must be losing my mind.
Then she came back, that was a waste of a
whole box of pop tart bars and neutral green buttes.
So I'm really good, let me ask you. Plus she
said it made my car stink. Yeah, so did you
tell her baby my life? Fet Well? I thought he
was a fan of it, and we could heat it up,

(50:03):
of course, But if it wasn't old maybe maybe not
the night before, but full of disease. But now, but
now I'm looking at myself like, how did how did
that happen?

Speaker 15 (50:11):
Well?

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Greg, if the bags are similar, this is not. But
there's not in a level that there you couldn't find it. No, no, no, no,
this obvious something that has a box of pop tarts
and stuff in it that I threw in the trash can.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
Were they clear bags or no?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
They weren't clear, So it was it was the grocery
store bags that you used. It's easy to confu and
it had the other ones like a little star fun
round play where you were to carry out it was
in one.

Speaker 9 (50:34):
So how was you, Fetis? When you finished?

Speaker 3 (50:35):
It was really good? Was lation? She didn't finishing I
think I might know.

Speaker 9 (50:40):
You y tell me about this fetish?

Speaker 3 (50:45):
Do you think I would have thrown away? I like
to know wh I wouldn't finish? Yeah, the was wrong
with yeah you got?

Speaker 1 (50:52):
I just think she she had And be honest, you
have kind of a bad attitude about putting it in
in the car.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
Was that bad attitude?

Speaker 9 (50:59):
Did it?

Speaker 10 (51:00):
Did you?

Speaker 3 (51:00):
I was just I was I was busy trying to
get some trash out. Why weren't you? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (51:04):
What was it that had you distracted?

Speaker 3 (51:06):
It had be something because you had kind of half
look trying to wrap everything and obviously wasn't a priority
for the evening. I was trying to let me get
everything set up for tomorrow and get everything done. And
I just okay, So you did have a bad attitude
about it. I made you half a look. I should
have been more attentive, Greg, Greg? All right, Greg, I'll
give you Greg. Ten is a fabulous attitude and one
is a crap. So where were you guys? About seven?

(51:31):
That's not bad? I actually think I actually think that
was really a serious. But I was fleeing. I don't
think it was a four.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
I it was my final offer.

Speaker 3 (51:43):
Now, let's rate Lisa's reaction to it one to ten.
Ten If one's kind of aggravating, ten's pissed off. It
was a ten. All right, let me go. I want
to caution you right here because I know you really well,
and I'm like for me to get to this point.
Let's say, let's say we're going to Atlanta from Birmingham.

(52:06):
For me to get to the point of saying what
I'm about to say, don't say I'm at Douglasville now,
so you can get there at Oxford, Yeah, okay, maybe
pel City. So so I'm just saying, I know there's
a moment if they if they doubled down on this
kind of stuff that we and I'm gonna tell you
not to, okay. Is the famous speech that if pop

(52:26):
tarts and Applebots are the worst problem we got, don't
I'm use yeah, I know you'll go to that.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
I know you used that one too. It's a great point.
It's not gonna win you any don't plant that.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
Man. It feels good, but the response is not worth it.
You right, I will say it feels good, but what
you would argue with some of these protesters. I have
already resigned to the fact that that I don't don't stupid.
I don't know how I didn't pay any I know
the bags were somewhere, but the feel of the bags
weren't even close. I don't know what I was what
I think you should do? How about this? I was

(53:00):
absolutely surprised because I thought i'd done really good. All right,
here's what do you do?

Speaker 23 (53:03):
This is?

Speaker 4 (53:04):
Are you could mumble, hey, if you loaded yourself you
want to?

Speaker 10 (53:06):
No?

Speaker 3 (53:06):
No, that was not even I take that. If this
is our biggest problem over.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
That, I'm just running the list of things I used
that didn't go well.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Don't listen to any of those. Here's here's the one
you go. Look, I'm mad at myself. You go, here's
what you go with.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
Are you gonna punish yourself?

Speaker 9 (53:26):
Yeah, i am.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
I've already have Greg. Try this one and stuff and
try this one. Try the Try the sympathy card. It's
hard to get because whis a're not overly sympathetic. Try
the card of I'm concerned about myself something I'm just
I'm I'm awful, stupid. I can't believe I did that.
I'm really concerned about I'm so sorry. I'll let you
down and and mess this whole thing. It's totally on.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
I think I've got it.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
I've got it.

Speaker 10 (53:49):
I don't have it.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
I don't want to say it.

Speaker 4 (53:52):
I wanted him to have it and be able to
use it. Okay, and I've got I've got one of them?

Speaker 8 (53:56):
Do it?

Speaker 3 (53:57):
You got it? But I would like to see, maybe
knowing it was unintentional. But hey, dummy, but wow, I mean,
I hope ain't nothing wrong with you. I'm gonna tell
you right now. You already love your little heart right there, Rick,
I'll tell you in the break you.

Speaker 4 (54:12):
Can if you think it.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
So she knew you had a bad attitude about putting
the bags in there, So now she was mad because
of your bad attitude.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
Mess and every day he had it was a seven
Rick five and a half.

Speaker 4 (54:26):
That may be the purest that my final offer.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
Ain't mind seven.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
Not a seven today?

Speaker 2 (54:35):
Ricking Bubba, Ricking Bubba.

Speaker 7 (54:40):
This is the song for Greg's fiftieth birthday.

Speaker 5 (54:43):
He hates sunshine and he hates rainbows. He's actually happy
to complain when he stubs his webbed toes. He's always
trying to be sharp, doing a fake car dealership remote,
always chewing on something.

Speaker 3 (54:59):
I a dang old billy got one today.

Speaker 5 (55:04):
His glass is half empty. He's got a permanent frown.
He hates it when they let the water Boys score
a touch down.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (55:17):
He used to be a hard worker climbing a power pole,
but now he's getting sprayed tans and he's getting a
light pole. Speaking of poles, Greg wants to give a
shout out to all the nickys.

Speaker 7 (55:31):
They're listening.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
They're not up yet.

Speaker 7 (55:36):
Greg prefers misery. He'd rather not sella brait.

Speaker 5 (55:40):
So when you see him on the street, don't say
happy birthday.

Speaker 22 (55:45):
Just kick them in the cronch and spit in his face.
Pull out his last three hairs and throw them away.
Push him to the ground and give him a little.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
Stomp stomp, or just sit on his face if you're
a big mama womp.

Speaker 5 (56:06):
Speaking speaking of big Mama wam wamp, shout out to
all the Peggy's out there.

Speaker 7 (56:14):
Greg's got root to Rett, so he'll say whatever he please.

Speaker 5 (56:18):
But he forgets. He got beat up by a man
that was all elbows and all. Greg's getting old, guys.
I heard him talking about football the other day. I
think he's slipping because he kept talking about the cornerback.
It's pronounced quarterback. You idiot, Greg sent you fifty. You

(56:45):
may need a heart replacement in a pinch. Luckily for you,
the perfect donor match. We just got to track down
the grinch your birthday present. I was gonna get you
a halopen you on a stick or a case of beer,
but you already got your gift. Cous Bubba's not here.

Speaker 14 (57:07):
This one.

Speaker 5 (57:08):
On this one, you're the crimudgeon of curmudgeons. But I
still think you're nifty. Happy birthday, Greg, good night.

Speaker 3 (57:17):
Look at that your fifth and.

Speaker 10 (57:23):
Shout out the tax.

Speaker 14 (57:27):
Proja shot out your region.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
But hey, that may be one of your better ones.
That's that one right there.

Speaker 4 (57:37):
That was awesome.

Speaker 7 (57:38):
I had a lot of materials.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
That's good, buddy. You could you could have writen eight
songs about Greg.

Speaker 7 (57:43):
You could have been a sonnet eight songs a song eight.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Yes, we'll be back Ricking Bubba, Ricking Bubba.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
Hey, it's speedy, and this is Ricking Bubba's greatest hits,
flashing back through thirty one years of radio gold. Every
