Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, it's Speedy, and this is Rick and Bubba's Greatest Hits,
flashing back through 31 years of radio gold every Saturday morning,
wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's Rick and Bubba's Greatest Hits.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba. Wow.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
I think we might have overplayed our BG's hand on
that one. Oh, that one. You did a show one?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Are y'all on it? I thought that was just for
me to look at.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I don't know how to.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Magic! Rick, you've brought them out of the woodwork.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Guys, y'all don't move me along so fast. Don't move
me along so fast.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Oh, my goodness. Hey, you did this.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
I know.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Just give me some.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
If I was back here, if y'all said this, did
you see Ryan Greenwood? All right, I missed that one.
Thank you, buddy. Hey, did y'all hear? Ryan Greenwood's doing it.
You ain't going to believe this, man. I was back.
You ain't going to believe it. I didn't hear it.
You know who? I just got one from Ryan Greenwood.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
Who, bro? What?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Guys, y'all ain't going to believe who's on there.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Y'all ain't going to believe who's on there.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Hotter, money.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Tragedy. Like this.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Greg, I see he's getting out. Based on Ryan Greenwood's
last Marco Polo. Slow down, Rick.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Easy, buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Three cups of coffee. You got four hours.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Let's go back to two. You're going to be on
that plane. You're going to make it.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
That's going to be miserable. That's okay. Yeah, that's all right.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
When I fly, when I go on these flights like this,
you know what it's like? It's like when people challenge
themselves to see how long they could live and torture,
that kind of thing, just to see how much you
can take. But Brian looks like that he's maybe trying
to get in the striking distance to about 220.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Rick.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
No, no, he's worked on his weight. We've been talking
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I don't see how he's traveling so much. Yeah, everybody's listening.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Well, Greg, that time I saw him, I didn't recognize him.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
At the wedding?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Yeah, we talked about that.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I said, Greg, I was the one telling you that
is Ryan.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Right.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I said to you, I said, that person must be
here on the broadside.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I left the next week. You said there was somebody
there claiming he was Ryan Greenwald. Some crazy guys out here.
He's going to pass out. I'm about to pass out.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
You know how you do, like any of us, we'll
let ourselves go a little bit, and you start looking
deep into it, and then you see a remnant of
it in there. I'm like, my gosh, that is him.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Rick.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
No, Ron and I talk about this all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Rick, we talk about it all the time. All the time.
He loves it, I bet. He's even asked me to.
Who wouldn't?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
No, Ron Greenwood said, for my. Rick, tell me how
fat I am.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
He said to me, he even went as far as
to say, will you consider a Mr. Lucky reunion tour
so I'll have something to move it?

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Remember, like to save his life. Oh, because we used
to all do that.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And we'll call the tour Saving Rhyme. He said, save
his life. Good night, Rick. Saving Rhyme. Let me call
it Saving Private Rhyme. Saving Tubby Rhyme. But anyway.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
No, he's.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I love talking about it. I talk about it all
the time. We talk about it all the time. Now, granted,
it's privately.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah, I mean, normally it isn't on the radio, but yeah.
All right, so this, every year we discuss this tomorrow,
August 31st. Speedy's mom and dad were married. Greg, you
and me, our parents were married. Our parents are celebrating
their 56th anniversary tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
One, two. Happy anniversary, baby. I got you on my mind.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
And it's bizarre. I know we go through this every year.
His parents and our parents were married the same year,
same day, and probably the same time.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, I think it was like. Between like a couple
hours was the only difference from what I've been told.
So anyway, so 56 years of marriage.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Is your parents 56 years or 55?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
No, 56. No, it's the same. It's the same year.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
It seems like some came ahead of the wedding the
same day. Well, some reasons. Same year. I may be
thinking about something else. Something I thought was also the same.
Somebody might say, I wasn't the same year. So it's
not this.

Speaker 7 (04:09):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Because I thought for years we were wrong about this.
This is how we help each other remember.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
No, no, no.

Speaker 8 (04:14):
And I want to point this out again for those
that didn't hear it in kickoff hour.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
You two never remember. He's the one. He is the
force behind bringing this up.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
I talked to mom about this.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
He helps you guys tremendously on this front.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
On Monday of this week, my mom and I talked
about this. I was waiting to surprise her tomorrow. I
even know what mom and dad are doing tomorrow and
how they're going to come up with an idea for
their anniversary.

Speaker 8 (04:35):
He's throwing this at you because he found out the
other day that you're going by there every other day
and it's killing him.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah, he's trying to make up. I'll call her on
my way home on Friday. That stung. I saw that.
When you found out he was going by their house
every other day, that stung.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I'm going to say this, and I'm going to say this,
and it's not going to sound good, but I'm going.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
To say it.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
See, the three of us rotate on where we rank
with mom. Dad couldn't care less. Our sister's always first.
He made that clear when she was born. You guys
are now downgraded. So he's never wavered that his favorite
is our sister. He's never wavered on that. Mom, we
rotate around. I don't think it's fair that our sister

(05:15):
is getting more time with him than even you because
her children are still young enough that mom and dad
keep them from time to time, that doesn't count.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
No, it doesn't.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
That doesn't count. I agree with that. If mom and
dad are having to keep your kids, that doesn't count.
Certainly we all saw them more when they were helping
with our kids, you know, when the kids were younger.
She has younger kids, and that's an unfair advantage.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
In my opinion. Listen, you let a three-month span go.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
That's on you. It was three weeks.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
It was not three months.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
No, trust me, I know the time period because mom
undoubtedly was doing check marks every time a day went by. And,
of course, you know, the thing I've often wondered about
our parents, and I know we've talked about this before,
is there is something about parents. I don't know what
happens when you become a parent and your kids become adults,
but at that point, undoubtedly the phone will only receive

(06:05):
a call if one won't go out.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
You know what I mean? It's like, you know, if.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
You ever get to where you miss me, just call me.
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
You're busy. It's kind of a test of your heart.
You're not doing well here.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Hey, I know y'all are busy.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Hey, I know y'all are busy.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
So mom and dad have been, and I know the
Wilburns as well, great examples of what God intended marriage
to be, and they've been a wonderful example of that.
So happy anniversary to Speedy's mom and dad, to our
mom and dad. Tomorrow, August 31st, and then it will
lead today to a very uncomfortable moment because John Wilburn,

(06:42):
Speedy's father, has decided to write a generic poem that
can be for my parents or your parents.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
And Greg's going to read it? With music, Greg. He
is the official John Wilburn reader. There's a couple lines
I don't know that he's going to get through.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Oh, my goodness. Y'all just got to get tunnel vision. Titled,
Mystery Solved, parentheses, It Was You. You, my darling, were
a mystery in my early manhood years. Who would be
my woman, my companion, and lover for the rest.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Of my years?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Excuse me?

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Lover?

Speaker 4 (07:17):
We don't want to think about our parents doing that.
Don't talk about it, John. No, our parents don't do
that anymore. Our parents never did that one more time
after we were born. Who would I give all my
love to and love me back the same? Who would
bear our children? Who would change our name?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Oh, the mystery. Who would be the one? Who would
it be?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Who would be my loving partner throughout eternity? And then
the answer came like a blinding bolt from the sky.
Suddenly you were before me. I was breathless as I
looked into your eyes. And my mystery was solved as
you stepped into my life. And I knew in a
flash one day you would be my wife. Yes, you

(08:00):
came to me, and together we have built a home.
The two of us are now one. You are flesh
of my flesh and bone of my bone. That's from
the Bible, y'all. That is from the Bible. Greg, it

(08:23):
is from the Word of God. I love you, my darling,
as we celebrate another year of love and fun. Our
romance may have started many years ago. Many years ago,
I'm sorry. But to me, it has just begun. Happy anniversary,
my love.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I love you. And for some reason it says you
were mad.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
We don't know what that means.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
It could be a typo there.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
At the end.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
At the bottom.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Then it has the date.

Speaker 9 (08:50):
8-31-29.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I think it's supposed to be your man. I want
to apologize to John. He's blind. He is blind. Come on, y'all.
He probably talked this poem into his notes. He's amazing.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
He is, and great poems. And I'm sorry, because Mr. Webb,
I'm going to apologize, because I do deliver these poems.
I got a little, I blame him.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Why me? I don't know, because you're closest to me.
You feel the heat on your side. There was nothing
inappropriate at all. Nothing. But we're 12 years old.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
I find it interesting that we're laughing at the end.
We're not laughing at the second sentence. That's the one
that got me. I don't want to hear that my
mom is dad's wife and lover.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
That may be one of my favorites, by the way.
Mystery solved. Parentheses. It was you.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Mr.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Wilburn, excellent job as usual. Speedy, you didn't get any
of that from your dad, did you? I think it's
supposed to be your man. I guarantee it. Your man.
Do you remember? Your word man.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Speedy, you got none of this from your dad, the
ability to use words.

Speaker 6 (09:45):
No.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
He's got the ability to misspeak. The ability to use words.
The ability to misspeak words is what I got. He's
got to be so disappointed. It skips a generation. It
does skip a generation. Speedy's kids probably can speak very well.
I think Reese yeah reese.

Speaker 10 (09:59):
Has probably got and dance lots all of them do
i'm just i'm just me but there's a point happy
anniversary to.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Her that's awesome yeah great.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Job happy anniversary mom i'm gonna call you before greg
or angie mom dad happy anniversary i'm setting my alarm
clock in the morning early.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Rick and bubba rick and bubba.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Henry Cho, catch him tonight at the Stardome.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Info at rickandbubba.com.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Oh, I got it. So, let me tell you a
quick story if I have time.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Sure.

Speaker 9 (10:30):
I did it in my show last night. So, one
of Tate's robotics friends, he's half.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Think about what you just said.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
He's not a robotic friend. Do you realize something?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
He's not a robot friend. But I've never uttered ever
as a dad.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
You know that bunch. That's the robot group. Yeah, I know.
It's crazy. So, he's half Vietnamese and his dad's name
is Mee.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Okay. So me and I, I know, hang on.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
Me and I were inspectors at this robotics tournament.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Do you hear what you're saying?

Speaker 7 (10:58):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
So it turned into a bad Asian version of Who's
On First. Because the director came up and said, hey,
who signed off on this robot? And I said, me.
And he goes, you? And I go, no. Well, who?

Speaker 11 (11:13):
Him.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Well, who's he?

Speaker 6 (11:15):
Me.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I'm like, we can do this all day, buddy. So
now I call him Dude.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (11:27):
Because I would call the house and go, hey, his
wife would answer. I go, who's picking up the kids?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
She goes, me. And I go, shut up, okay? Which
one of you? No, me is. That's not good grammar.
What are you talking about, me is? I go, his
name's Dude.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
From now on, okay?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, where's Dude at? So we all call him Dude now.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Everybody at the school calls him dude. Hey, dude. Henry Cho, man,
good to see you again. Love being here. Congrats on 25.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Thank you, man.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Thanks for helping us be part of it. I'll see
you at 26. That's right. Lord willing. Lord willing. Yeah,
Lord willing. You can't say that anymore, can you?

Speaker 6 (12:05):
Yeah, you can.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Can you say the creek don't rise? Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Didn't you think that was a body of water? He
was actually talking about Indians.

Speaker 7 (12:10):
I know.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
That's weird. It is weird. Henry Cho, catch him tonight
at the Stardome. Info at rickandbubba.com.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
It's Jenkins' mama again.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Hey, Jenkins' mama.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
Hello.

Speaker 7 (12:23):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Hey, Jenkins.

Speaker 6 (12:24):
How you doing?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Hey, Mama Jenkins. Hey, Mama.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
Mama help.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Jenkins' mama.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Now, what do you mean again?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Well, you've called before.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:32):
No.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
No, I haven't ever called. I've emailed.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
No, you've called. Or someone called pretending to be. Either
that or we've. We're in trouble.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
Oh. Oh.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
You don't remember? I think she just emailed us.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
I don't know. No, I do remember.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
No, no, no. We told her. Remember?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Because she was asking why he wasn't calling anymore, why
he wasn't taking his calls anymore.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
She goes, maybe.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Oh, that's true.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
I was really concerned. That's all right. I forgot about
that call. Okay.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
I forgot about that.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
So we're all slipping a little bit. So join the club.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
That's a woman for you. What's on tap today?

Speaker 7 (13:06):
Well, you know.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
He just doesn't call anymore. He's really, really busy. But,
you know, y'all always gave him a hard time about
his cannabis.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
You mean can it be cannabis?

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Yeah, that's right. And I just wanted to, you know,
put a plug in for the fact that You know,
I mean, he didn't ever grow it, and he didn't ever,
he wasn't a pothead like y'all always made him out
to be.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Now, Jenkins' mom, we didn't give him that hard.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
Of a time.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
We were just joking around.

Speaker 7 (13:39):
Yes, you did.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Yes, you did. But anyway.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
Well, you got them mama goggles on.

Speaker 10 (13:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (13:43):
I got something else to talk about.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Mama goggles.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Mama goggles.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
What you got today? What you got today?

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Okay, so the fact that, you know, there's, CBD oil
is out now, and I just wanted to, you know,
say that he was right on point, you know, with
what he was talking about.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Oh, damn.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
All the, you know, the benefits of it. But the
main reason I called is because the other thing that
he was the most passionate about was midwifery.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Midwifery, midwifery, midwifery.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Midwifery.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Have your baby at home so your neighbors can see.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
And raw milk. He's fired up about raw milk, too.
Unpasteurized milk.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Midwifery.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Raw milk and me, midwifery, cannabis bee.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
So he and his wife had to go to Tennessee
to have their first two children because midwifery was illegal
in the state of Alabama.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Well, they are expecting their third, and they will have
this one at home in the state of Alabama because
midwifery has now been legalized.

Speaker 7 (14:59):
Yay!

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Congratulations.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Good for you guys.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
And he got out there.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
That's a win.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
That's a win. That's a win for the Jenkins family.
They give his wife, like, a stick to bite down
on for the pain. Yeah, if you do that, how
does all that happen?

Speaker 5 (15:16):
What do you mean, how does all that happen?

Speaker 10 (15:18):
Well, I'm telling you how they– How do they manage
the pain or do they.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Just go– They let it run. Deal with it. She doesn't, like,
lean on a tree in a yard, does she?

Speaker 5 (15:27):
Well, no.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
The thing is– Well, the midwives.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Can go get them several different ways. Have you ever
seen that Netflix series?

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Midwives? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
You ever watch that?

Speaker 4 (15:35):
They got a few different– My goodness. They'll get it
out of there however they can. They got a few methods.
Every now and then they'll go quarterback.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
I know. Let Mama Jenkins finish. Rick, not in a shotgun.
No pro set.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Let Mama Jenkins finish. Mama Jenkins, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
The thing is, if you, from what I understand, because
this was all new to me too, and I was
a little nervous about it. In fact, I was a
lot nervous about it to begin with. However, if you
do your labor as it was God intended, if you
wait until God... you know, sends the child and you

(16:15):
go into labor naturally and you don't do the potassium
and you don't do the inducing of the labor, that's
what makes the labor so difficult. Now, I'm not saying
it's not difficult.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Oh, sure.

Speaker 10 (16:29):
Yeah, because God said there would be that difficulty in that.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
He was pretty clear about that on the fall.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Omaha!

Speaker 5 (16:36):
However, it's much more manageable.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Thank you for that.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
When your body is ready to give birth.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
What numbers am I? No, look, there's good and bad.
I don't really have any problem with midwives at all.
What I'm saying is, though, but the only risk you take...
Something goes wrong. If the baby... If something is wrong
and the baby needs attention immediately, medically, or the mother,
you know, you're in a little bit of a bind.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yes, you are.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
And you have trust in your midwife to know... you know,
what they're doing, and they've seen you the whole time.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
56 is the mic.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Have you seen Midwives, the Netflix series? I think about
your family every time I watch an episode of that.
It's really fascinating.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
It really is. So thanks for the update.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
And congratulations to you guys. And I'm excited for Jenkins
and his wife.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Let's go to Christian. Christian.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
In Huntsville, 100.3, the river.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Christian, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Welcome to the program.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Hey.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
Hey.

Speaker 7 (17:42):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
We're good. We're doing great.

Speaker 7 (17:45):
Well, I got some stuff for you.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Well, bring it on.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Somebody get the timeout flag ready.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Hey, Rick. All right.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
Well, I was coming home from the interstate, from Birmingham.
I went down Highway 36. It was night. I saw
a spaceship.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Really?

Speaker 9 (18:02):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
I've seen two. Out there on Highway 36.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
So you've seen not just one, you've seen two. Well,
let's start with the first one. It was at night.
What did it look like?

Speaker 7 (18:16):
It was a triangle, and it had lime green lights
on the corner. And I'm very, very close to God, extremely.
And I thought, God, okay, what is this? I mean,
I've never experienced anything like it, and I had never
spent time really studying it. And it made me a believer,
and it jumped over the trees. It was very low.

(18:38):
And I thought, well, okay, this must be safe or something.
And I kind of followed it for a while, and
it just disappeared. It flew very, very fast.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (18:46):
Then I was coming home another night, and I saw
another big ship. And I am telling you the truth.
It was huge. It looked like it had rainbow lights.
And it was sitting on top of the mountain over
there by the junkyard. And I looked at it and
I thought, what is that?

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Are you sure it wasn't the White House Illuminati for
Gay Pride Month?

Speaker 6 (19:09):
No.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
That was funny.

Speaker 10 (19:13):
Can I ask you, Sandy, as you were coming home
and it was night and you saw these, where had
you been?

Speaker 7 (19:18):
Oh, I had probably been in Hartsell.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Working?

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Visiting?

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Visiting.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
So who were you visiting? Just your family?

Speaker 7 (19:33):
Yeah, my brother had a video store out there, so
I was just driving back. But sometimes I will go
out to Hartsell just to see a friend or sometimes
just taking pictures, photography, sort of working.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Okay, so so family visiting friend kind of working.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Yeah and then and then and then this happened about
the same time of night every time or was it different.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
No it's about the same time and it was very
strange to me and i mean i'm really really strange
to me when i was following it's called a chog.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Ship well how do you know how do you know
what it's called Well.

Speaker 7 (20:11):
You know, if you're talking about someone out in the universe,
the way God explained it to me is that they
come from the beginning, which is actually a sort of end.
They come from a place that's very high technology. And
I'm just telling you because I saw it and I
asked God.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
You said it was a trog ship.

Speaker 7 (20:33):
It's called a trog ship. I studied ancient Egyptian. An
ancient Hebrew. I thought, you know, if you really want
to know God that created in the beginning, you really
need to understand the Egyptian. So I was, and God

(20:54):
reveals things. He said it in the Bible.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Certainly.

Speaker 7 (20:58):
So I was studying in my Egyptian, and I can
hear God, you know, speaking sometimes. And I know people go, well,
you're crazy.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
No, I'm really not.

Speaker 7 (21:07):
In Egyptian, there is a word called akut. Now, Aku,
that means an alien spirit, a spirit foreign to God.
He calls them Akloid, Aku, the foreign spirit, because they
went against God's word. They used God's word illegally. So

(21:30):
this is how I understand it. To me, it is
the truth. They lived on this earth the past years.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
They live on this earth. Now, these are the ones
you said that came from the beginning, but that really
means the end.

Speaker 7 (21:45):
Well, it's like time is circular far away in the universe.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Understood.

Speaker 7 (21:49):
They have the beginning technologies that belong to God. Lucifer,
his name is.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Hang on just a second, Paul. I've got to hit
pause just a minute. Are you just explaining in what
appears to be a little more complicated way, are you
just talking about the biblical account... of Lucifer attempting to
overthrow God and then took a third of the angels,
and now these are principalities that live. Okay, well, that's

(22:18):
not really aliens then. That's demonic forces.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
Listen to me. Don't get sassy now.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Kristen, don't get sassy. No, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
A little sassy.

Speaker 7 (22:27):
No, I'm not sassy. I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
You know what we say where I'm from here now.
Step back a little bit.

Speaker 7 (22:34):
When they passed, God took their flesh away.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Are we talking about the demons that the Bible talks about,
yes or no?

Speaker 7 (22:43):
Yes, we are.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Okay, then we're okay.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
God took their flesh away because they used his word.
They used it illegally, and they caused him great suffering.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
I'm losing a little bit there with the Egyptians and
all that, but I certainly have said many times on
the show, and we have talked about that, The principalities
and the demonic forces.

Speaker 7 (23:11):
That's what they are.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
So you're just saying you saw ships, and God revealed
to you these ships, the troggs, are really, these are
things of, they're able to transport demonic forces to different places.
I'm just trying to summarize what you're saying.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Right, and they do abduction on people, and they steal
proteins from people. They steal proteins to take back to
their stars.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Now we're veering a little bit. So they're here on
a harvesting mission of some type?

Speaker 4 (23:43):
And it's proteins.

Speaker 7 (23:44):
Right.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Chicken breast?

Speaker 6 (23:46):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Which, in all fairness, explains why they're lean. They're never overweight,
if you notice. They stay away from cars.

Speaker 10 (23:52):
Kristen, let me ask you this. How do you know
all of this part? Have you seen them? Have you
encountered them?

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Yes, I have. In what way?

Speaker 4 (24:02):
So beyond the ships that you saw, to Bubba's point.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
Well... I woke up one night and, I mean, people,
you know, you can believe me or not. Right. People saw,
I mean, I saw one in my bathroom.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
And you saw one of these creatures? Left oneself. Yeah.
What did it look like? What was its physical appearance?

Speaker 7 (24:23):
It looked like Michael Shalimar's aliens.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
Michael, come again with that?

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Shalimar?

Speaker 7 (24:29):
Michael Shalimar.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Shalimar. Shalimar's aliens.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
So it looked like Michael Shalimar's.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Who is he? You don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
I'm not familiar with him. Google Michael Shalimar. I got
to know what they were doing in the bathroom. What
were they using the bathroom or just hanging in there,
sitting on the toilet?

Speaker 3 (24:44):
What?

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Brushing teeth.

Speaker 7 (24:46):
No, he was just standing there. I woke up briefly
and I saw him. And then I saw him sleeping
through my window.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
So they were in your bathroom and went out the window?

Speaker 7 (24:54):
Well, at a different time.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Right, but to Speedy's point, were they using the restroom? Like,
did they need to wash or relieve themselves, or they
just came in there?

Speaker 7 (25:05):
No.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
That's just where they were hiding it.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
I don't know how their digestive system works. You don't
know as much as you do.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Well, I thought they might be just sitting there with
the lid closed, just, like, hanging out. Like, you know,
just kind of sitting there waiting. That's just the way
they came in. Who is Michael Shalimar? Please look on
the screen. Who is Michael? A film producer?

Speaker 7 (25:25):
Yeah, crop circles.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Okay. Okay.

Speaker 7 (25:29):
They look like that. People don't understand, you know.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Is it possible, I'm just thinking about it, instead of
Michael Shalimar being a prophet, is it possible that maybe
you saw his movies and then you just related it
to something you had already seen?

Speaker 7 (25:44):
No, because of the ships, I started studying it. I
got Anna Jacobson's book at Beth Collins. I wake up
and my hair is fused together in the back. I
have to cut it off.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
You're telling me the aliens gave you a weave?

Speaker 7 (26:01):
I'm sorry. You know, I tell the truth.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
No, I know, but I'm trying. What happened to the
back of your hair?

Speaker 7 (26:07):
I woke up and it was fused together like glass.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Oh, like glass.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
And you cut it off?

Speaker 7 (26:13):
Yeah, I cut off the back because I couldn't untangle it.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Do you still have it? Well, they'll come again.

Speaker 6 (26:20):
I'll cut off another.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Piece for you.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
I mean, do you still have the hair that you
cut off?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Please do when they come.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
That would be great physical evidence if you had that.
If aliens fuse the back of my hair, I'm keeping it.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Mail me your hair, please. Do you have it?

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Okay, next time I'll do it. They do it. I mean,
I don't know. Not right now. I threw it away.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Why did you throw away hair that was fused by aliens?
My goodness, you've got to hang on to this stuff.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Next time I'm in the bathroom, please take a picture.
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
You can't photograph.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
They probably are not agreeable to that.

Speaker 7 (26:52):
I'm not crazy. I'm telling the truth.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
We're trying to understand.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
You make a lot more sense than the Democrats right now.

Speaker 7 (26:59):
I'm afraid of Mr.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Trump.

Speaker 7 (27:02):
You know, Mr. Trump is strange. God does weird things
to people because the environment is so serious.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Go ahead with your story.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Go ahead. Somehow Trump got in this, and that's on me.

Speaker 7 (27:16):
I'm sorry, but the environment.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
That does explain his hair, though. That explains Trump's hair.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
I'm starting to get second-hand. It's been fused by aliens.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
But go ahead.

Speaker 7 (27:24):
Yeah, you know, he's—I'm sorry. Okay, these are things that
practice powers and crafts in history and caused other people
to die, like Lucifer craft, like satanic crafts. When they died,
God took away their flesh. He put them on far
back planets called pharonics, luciferonic or pharonic planets. He said,

(27:47):
stay away from me and just stay away. And the
final judgment, I will judge you again. If you don't
get it right the next time, live that way and
die in it because I'm sick of them. I hurt
a whole bunch. A lot of people hurt. They steal
proteins from us. I woke up one morning after a
long dream. Well, and I had a weird taste in
my mouth. I was a flight attendant for a major

(28:09):
air carrier and I had a needle stuck in my
arm in the dream. And the woman who looked like
a woman, but an alien with big black eyes. I
see huge black glass eyes on people. I see liquid
black eyes on people. And I'm going, God, what is
going on?

Speaker 6 (28:25):
I was in the dream and.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
She said she took blood out of my arm. Now,
I have an immune disorder with my blood. Now, I'm
not a liar. I tell the truth. The environmental problems,
the cause of the heat going up and down, up
and down. They do weird stuff to our planet and
our people. There are people on this planet that are
extremely good, like me.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Kristen, let me ask you something because we're up against
a break here again.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
And we're certainly not trying to get you up. It
sounds like this is upsetting you, so we won't.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
We may have to handle this in small doses.

Speaker 10 (28:57):
How are you so educated on this? I mean, you've
got names and planets and all that.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Where did you get all that from?

Speaker 7 (29:05):
Well, I've also got portraits and paintings. I've got tons
of things.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Where did you get all of that from?

Speaker 4 (29:11):
What source?

Speaker 7 (29:11):
God talks to me.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
God told you about it. Okay. Fair answer. I got you.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
These kids are scared to death. I mean, they seem
to like to pick on, you know, easy prey.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Well, sure.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Well, that's been going on since the fall of creation.
I was picked on as a kid, but I'm okay. Hey,
let's go back to this because I'm going to— I'm
kind of.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Curious what their master plan is here, Rick, if we
can get that.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
But you're saying, yeah, is there an ultimate plan?

Speaker 7 (29:40):
God, you know, once again, we have Monte Sano in Huntsville.
God is a nut. I mean, God is funny to me.
Monte Sano means Mount Sinai in Indian. And John's Valley
is the Valley of Death. So, you know, God is
very strange, too, sometimes. But these aliens look at things

(30:02):
like that.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I'd probably go with mysterious. Would you send me pictures
of your paintings?

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
Hey, thanks for the call, Christian. It's so much to
cover in one show.

Speaker 10 (30:10):
Christian, we'd really like to get with you maybe when
we have a longer format to discuss this.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
We're going to start a new Rick and Bubba podcast,
and you could be guest number one.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
So, Helmsy, you brought this massager. To the studio. Now,
certainly you learned as a little kid, if you've got
a new toy, don't take it out into the neighborhood
because other kids will start playing with it and they
could break it. But you brought it here, and I
haven't seen you with it since you brought it. It
looks like Speedy's just taken it.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Away from you.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
Well, no, to set it up, and Speedy can speak
more into this. Speedy's adopted it like a shortstop.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
He has. And he was supposed to be really the
only one that was supposed to have it.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
To be honest, um, and so he, I got this
thing probably, I don't know, three, four months ago, six
months ago. I've had it a while and speedy text
me Sunday night and said, Hey, listen, I got something
going on with my neck and back.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 8 (31:07):
Can you bring the massage gun in? So I knew
the fact that he was hurting pretty bad. If he
took the time to send me a text on a
Sunday evening.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
So no doubt I brought it in for him yesterday.

Speaker 8 (31:18):
And, uh, And I told him, I said, look, and
he's been thinking about purchasing one of them himself.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
And so he tried out and those type of things.
That ain't going to happen.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
No, it will.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
I think he's hoping you get.

Speaker 8 (31:30):
Tired of it.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Especially after yesterday, it definitely is going to happen now.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
So, anyway, I let Speedy take the floor.

Speaker 8 (31:36):
I brought it in for him, and I don't think
he's been able to use it as much as he
would like to based off of everybody else grabbing it.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Not like you would like to. It's fine. But he's
taking it.

Speaker 8 (31:45):
He's massaged everybody else with it. I don't like hearing
the fact that it's the show's new massager because it's not.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
Well, that's what Speedy said.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Yeah, it's Helmsy's massager. That's what Speedy said.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Well, Speedy, he's acting like this is for his to have.
You better throw them attachments away when you get that
back from him.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Easy.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Easy, buddy.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
It's because you're thinking about what you're doing. He's massaging
all members of the show like a wild man.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
Yeah, well.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
You're going to have to reel it back in him.
I'm just telling you.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
That thing's violent. He's got another 48 hours, and then
he's going to give it back. You can turn it
down on the back, right? Well, now, of course.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Now, you know us. We always turn it up.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
Yeah, sure.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
As Hattiesburg. But anyway, so what I've noticed, though, now
Speedy's turned it into.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Like a challenge.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
He's like seeing how much he can hurt you with it.
I did go a little far last break. When I
was sticking it on you, I was like right on
the pit of your chest.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
It really shows you how much soreness is in there.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
And according to Adler, Adler is suggesting that we got
an email yesterday, I guess watching on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
And he says speed has been dangerous with it.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
I mean, I can't disagree. These things are dangerous. I'm
telling you. Handled the wrong way.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
I don't know what he meant. I need more clarity
on dangerous. I'm serious. There are parts of the body
that you should not use it on. What? Like your neck.

Speaker 7 (33:04):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Not your neck.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
It's made for that. That's one of the things you
need it for. No, like the front of the neck.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Who does that? The side of the neck. Speedy's done
that to have three arteries. Speedy came at me with it. Yeah,
that's not good. I'm telling you, he's not being something.
I don't think I went to the front of your neck.
You're being irresponsible. You've been a little irresponsible. Here, let
me get you in. And what was the other one
about the heart? Listen to this one.

Speaker 11 (33:24):
So with these veins right here, you're not supposed to
do it on the front because with the.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
I can always say this wrong. Carotid. Carotid artery. You
said it right. Okay.

Speaker 11 (33:35):
So with the carotid artery right here, especially in old people,
they can get buildup, whether it's a blood clot or
even just like plaque.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Buildup in those areas.

Speaker 11 (33:44):
You bust it loose, it's going straight to their brain,
all because you wanted to use one of those massage guns.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
That's amazing. Well, actually, okay, I know about the... I'd
email her.

Speaker 11 (33:53):
I know about that thing because old people aren't supposed
to just start jiu-jitsu out of nowhere either.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Oh, it always goes back to jiu-jitsu.

Speaker 11 (34:00):
If you do a choke on a person, everything is
normally fine unless you break a blood clot loose and
it goes to their brain and you kill them.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Who's putting a choke hold on Meemaw? Yeah, that's what
I was going to say. Do you have a lot
of elderly trying to do jiu-jitsu? Jiu-jitsu is for everyone. Well,
apparently not. Jiu-jitsu is for everyone. You learn to fight,
so you don't have to. You're not supposed to do
it on your heart.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Right.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
With the massage gun.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
But you can do the corner of your chest, right?
Your pit right there. What about your rump?

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Any kind of medical devices. Oh, I got Terry last night.
Do you have any kind of medical devices? I did.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
I came back. Really?

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Yeah, I came. She was in the kitchen. So the
gun worked. No, I didn't mean it like that. That
was a quick recovery. No, she was in the kitchen.
I came up behind her and hit that neck right there. Oh, wait. Listen, listen.
Leg break.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Leg break.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
And she's like, oh, my God.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Listen, well, let Greg finish his comment.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Let somebody say something else, then say that. All right,
I'm out of control. That's good, Speedy. That's good. Your
timing right there was terrible. I'm sorry. Goodness gracious. And
the more you talk, the worse it got. If you
have thrombosis. Don't do it.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
Hey, buddy.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Hey, buzzkill over there.

Speaker 8 (35:05):
Listen, I purchased this gun for my lower back, and
it has helped tremendously.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
He's not being responsible with it.

Speaker 8 (35:12):
What I'm saying is he's being responsible with himself. He's
just not with others. He's not playing well with others.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Hey, Bubba, your feet. It'd work on your foot. It's
good for feet. Take that shoe off real quick. What
about elderly feet? It depends on how elderly are we
talking here. Bubba? Bubba, do you have phlebitis, Bubba? Do
you have phlebitis? I ain't been around any fleas.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
What about if you're having a denture while wearing a
snazzy vest?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Then it's okay. Then it's fine. Leave the vest on.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
But he was coming here a minute ago trying to
do a challenge with it.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
How long can he hold it in my heart?

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Yeah, and Adler was screaming, do not put that on
people's hearts. It was in the corner. But y'all got
hardware in there.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Let's try it. You got to go easy.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
Let's see who can do it.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
I went into AFib. Adler, let's see if you can
handle this. Yes, that's what I'm saying. It'll give you
an irregular rhythm. I'm going to go to Greg.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Hold on.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Is our battery updated?

Speaker 7 (36:08):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
I hope so. All right. See, don't do it. And
I've got that deep tissue attachment on it, which makes
it even. Hey, I'm the one that lets you borrow it. Oh, sorry.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Sorry.

Speaker 7 (36:20):
That's dangerous.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
You're supposed to be the parent. That's right. I'm sorry.
This is amazing. Top of your head. Top of your head. No, no, no, no, no.
That'll hurt. You're not supposed to do the top inside
your head. Top of the head.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Baldy.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
You're not supposed to.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
All right.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
What about the stomach? I didn't read anything about that.

Speaker 11 (36:48):
Oh, belly button's going to be weird.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
No, don't do that on your belly button.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
You'll go back in time. I'm telling you, he's reckless
with it. No, but what do you want?

Speaker 6 (37:02):
No.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Hey, you done got me. Leave her out of this.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Leave her out of this.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
The more you talk, I want you to wash it
before you put it on me.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Rick Burgess.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
She was like, what's that all about?

Speaker 1 (37:16):
And then I hit that calf, and she was like, oh.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Oh, it's good for your feet.

Speaker 6 (37:19):
Calf.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
Thighs.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Calf and thighs. Large muscle tissue.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
What?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Wrong. It's perfect for him. No, you keep.

Speaker 8 (37:30):
Going to that. You say glutes. You say glutes. The
buttocks are glutes.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
See, that sounds like you do a lot of squats.
Instead of putting it on my butt. You're right, Greg.
You're right. These children can't handle it, but you're right.
Somebody say hip and glutes. Buttocks. Gluteus maximus.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Yeah, right there.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
It'll feel good. Maximus aurelius.

Speaker 6 (37:49):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
No, you want it now. Try the calf. Your calf. Oh,
that quad. All the quads. You're going to have to
get this away from him. Look, it's like that guy
ringing that bell. Texas Tech. That's not true.

Speaker 7 (38:03):
Oh, my.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Red Raiders.

Speaker 7 (38:05):
We're going to have to take it back.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
I didn't realize. Take it home. Take it home. Because
let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
If he has to buy his own, he won't have one.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Yeah, you get that one out of.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Here, we'll never see another one.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
I don't want you doing that. Why does he keep
doing that to me? That's dangerous. That feels good right there.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Rick and Bubba, Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
We're excited. It is back.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
The 2019 edition of the Gridiron Men's Conference, and it
has been an honor to be part of that every year.
I've had the honor of speaking there every other year.
Another great lineup coming up, and it is this weekend.
I know a lot of you are here in our
part of the world. We just had the Southern Baptist Convention.
It's wrapping up. We have some people here in the

(38:52):
audience that were in our town. Now the Gridiron Men's
Conference is coming in for those of you that are
visiting our part of the world, and it'll be one
of the greatest communicators on the planet. Tony Evans will
be teaching. We've interviewed Josh Turner, a country music singer,
who'll have a concert on Friday night. James Merritt coming
out of Atlanta. Jake Olson, we've talked to him on
the program as well with his fascinating story.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Phil Waldrop will be there.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
And our next guest will be bringing the laughs, and
that is comedian Michael Jr.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Michael.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Michael, welcome to Rick and Bubba.

Speaker 6 (39:25):
Yo, thanks for having me, and thanks for the pressure
of mentioning all those other people first. I know.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
No, no.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
That was awesome.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
Michael, this actually happened. Like I said, I've spoke at
Gridiron Men's Conference and one year they put me, you're
going to love this, in between Tony Evans and Steve Farrar.
So I walk over to Phil Waldrop and I say, Phil,
who in the world is going on after Tony Evans

(39:52):
and Steve Farrar and he looks at me you know
he said well I'm certainly not going to do it so.

Speaker 6 (40:00):
This is quite the lineup man it's some real testosterone
brilliance in the room I'm excited it's going to be fun.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
Now you obviously do a lot a lot of not
not just conferences and you know you've you've appeared on
you know the night tonight show and Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:15):
I eat food and everything.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Yeah, Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
What I'm saying is it's very similar to what we're doing.
People ask me all the time, well, you guys do
Christian radio? And we're like, well, no, we're Christians who
do radio. I mean, we're on secular stations, and we
talk about what we do from a biblical worldview. We
also are great examples of God's grace and mercy because
we don't always get it right. So tell us a

(40:40):
little bit about maybe some of those who haven't heard you.
Tell us the Michael Jr.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Story.

Speaker 6 (40:47):
Okay, so you said you're a good example of God's
grace and mercy.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (40:50):
Like, you're the example. That's a lot of pressure, too.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Yeah, it really is. You know what people say?

Speaker 4 (40:55):
If Rick's saved, I must have a chance.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
But he wouldn't.

Speaker 6 (41:00):
Oh, that's great. So I do stand-up comedy. I've been
on Tonight Show, Comedy Central. I've done a lot of,
you know, TED Talks. But, you know, I'm really called
to comedically inspire people to walk in purpose. So I'll
bring funny all day, but I've learned this thing where,
you know, when I first started doing comedy, even now,
whenever I'm on stage, I'm doing joke number one, but

(41:21):
I may be presenting joke number two. Then I'll move
on to joke. I mean, I'll be thinking in my
head about what joke number two is. So I'm doing
all of this math. I'm actually thinking seven jokes ahead
before I even present the first joke. But what I've
learned since becoming a Christian is actually instead of asking
what joke can I do next to get laughs, I
started asking the question, what can I give to this audience?

(41:43):
And that changes the game. Because growing up, I went
to church as a kid, but that stuff was scary.
Some dude on stage, he yelling, he mad at everybody.
And I figured he was mad because he had some
phlegm in his throat. At the end of every sentence,
you try to get it out. The Lord said, I
didn't understand. That stuff was creepy. I was like, what

(42:03):
in the world? He had a Bible in his hand.
He kept playing like he was going to throw it
at people. And people would get scared. They'd be like, hey, man, hey, man.
I realize now that I'm older, they were saying, hey, man.
That stuff was scary. And then one time, I will
never forget this. I'm seven years old. I'm at church.
I walk in, and there's a dead body in the

(42:23):
front of the church. And I'm thinking, this is the
weirdest illustration ever. It turned out it was a funeral.
But nobody explained to me. This is a funeral. And
then the dude gets up on stage and they ask
the kids choir to come and sing. And I'm in
the kids choir. And the only explanation they gave as
to why there's a dead dude in the box in
the front was he went to see the king. That's

(42:45):
the only thing I understood at seven years old. Then
they asked me and the kids choir to come up
and sing. And what song was I singing? Soon and
very soon. We are going to see the king. We
are going to.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
See the king. It didn't turn out good.

Speaker 6 (43:00):
Did it? I don't understand that stuff at all. But
now I enjoy, I'll never laugh at the church, but
I'll certainly laugh with people and the creepy stuff we do. Like,
there's some creepy Christians. Let's just be real. If you're
listening right now and you don't know any creepy Christians,
it's you. There's some creepy Christians. That's good. So I'm excited.

(43:24):
I get to bring laughter. I get to catch people
with the comedy and keep them with the truth. I
thought it was a slogan. It's really an assignment. So
I don't really know. This tour we're on right now
is called In the Moment Tour. But the reason we
call it In the Moment is because while I'm on stage,
I'm in the moment. I know how to bring the funny,
but I really want to be listening to whatever else
I'm supposed to deliver to the audience. And I'm pumped

(43:46):
about the gridiron, even though they got me. after these
really strong presenters.

Speaker 10 (43:51):
Michael, I've got to know something, though. You mentioned TED Talk.
You've done a TED Talk, and what was the topic?

Speaker 6 (43:59):
I did. You know what was so cool? So I
go back to Los Angeles every once in a while.
There's a club there that I used to always go to.
Jay Leno's there. Chris Rock is there a lot. And
I'm in a green room with like 10 other comedians.
This was like two months ago. And the emcee comes
back to get everybody's credits, and they're like, tonight's show,
Comedy Central. Because, you know, to get the audience's attention.

(44:19):
And then the emcee said to me, hey, you want
me to tell them you did a TED Talk? And
it was like a record scratch in the room. All
the comedians turned and looked at me like, well, how'd
you do a TED Talk?

Speaker 2 (44:30):
It's like Bubba just did. You caught my eye, too.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
Right.

Speaker 6 (44:34):
So I did a TED Talk on the parallels of
comedy and life. So in comedy, as you guys know,
because you're hysterical, there's always a setup and then there's
a punchline. The setup is when a comedian makes the
audience think in one direction. The punchline is when he
changes direction in a way they're not expecting and results
a revelation of fulfillment and joy. Well, life is very similar.

(44:55):
There's a setup and there's a punchline. Your setup is
the fact you're married, you got a car, you got
this education. Your setup is about what you received, but
your punchline is about what you're called to deliver. And
a lot of people know their setup but very few
people don't really understand what their punchline in life is.
And it's an empty place to live if you don't
know your punchline. And just like me as a kid,

(45:16):
I used to struggle with my reading. Even your setbacks
are part of your setup so you can deliver the
punchline your cause delivered. It's like a slingshot or a
bow and arrow. The further you've been set back, further
you can reach, you just have to know.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
What to aim for.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Look at Michael Jordan go. I think we just had
like a mini TED talk. I think we did. I mean,
the clock didn't even run out. Here's the most shocking part.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
I looked around the room with these guys and watching
each individual go, I think I understand this.

Speaker 6 (45:49):
They thought it was a Teddy talk.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
The bad news is everybody didn't get it at the
same time. I'll talk about the order later.

Speaker 6 (45:57):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (46:01):
Well, look, I really know how to do radio. Well,
you know, real quick.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 6 (46:06):
Let me say this. You guys really know how to
do radio because I do a lot of radio. And
even with on the Christian, a lot of Christian stations, too.
And then you. You listen to it, and you're like, oh, snap,
I'm on the interview, and I'm about to fall asleep.
What is going on right now? But you guys do
it well, like really, really, really well. So thank you
for that. It's a joy to be on the stage.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
Well, you know what? We have fun, and we hope
everybody else is having fun with us. We generally do.
Most of the time, at least two out of five days. Yeah.
That's what I signed on for. No, that really happened.
Michael Jr.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
that is not an exaggeration. I went to Bubba, who
was an engineer, and I said, I really think we
should do the show together. And he said, I don't know, man.
He said, I think I can only be funny like
two days a week. And 25 years later, he has
stuck to that.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I've honored my commitment. And the bad news is today's
an off day. Yeah. Sadly.

Speaker 6 (47:00):
That is awesome.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Oh, but you ought to be here tomorrow. Hey, tomorrow
he'll be smoking.

Speaker 6 (47:05):
Rocking.

Speaker 4 (47:06):
But, hey, I'm glad you're part of it. You're going
to love this event. I mean, there's something about, especially
now more than ever, you know, taking time, as we
saw in Scripture, for men to get out away from
everything and just have men sharpening men, speaking to each
other the way only men are going to hear things.
You're never going to disciple a man treating him like
he's a woman or a child, and I think that's

(47:27):
been a mistake the church continues to make. But it'll
be a great weekend, and I'm sure I'm glad you're
part of it, and I hope that someday in God's timing,
I hope soon, maybe we'll get an opportunity to work together.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
I'd love that.

Speaker 6 (47:40):
That's what we just did, though, on the radio.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 10 (47:44):
If you're through our town, come by and see us.
We have great breakfast here.

Speaker 6 (47:48):
Let's just say you just recorded this. You're not going
to play it.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Let me pull the curtain back. This is my TED Talk.
We've interviewed some people that I did not make that
statement to there at the end.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
I think we had one this week. Well, there's that.

Speaker 6 (48:08):
That is awesome.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
That means I desire to maybe do something again together.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:12):
No, that's great, man.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Thanks for what you're doing. All right, say that.

Speaker 6 (48:14):
You guys are awesome, man.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Thanks a lot, yo.

Speaker 4 (48:16):
Thanks for being funny.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
I appreciate it. There he is, Michael Jr. Michael Jr.
will meet you at the Gridiron Men's Conference. It's this weekend.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
And for those of you that are coming into town
all over the country, you're going to enjoy it. As
Michael said and we said, it is a power-packed lineup.
Tony Evans, Josh Turner, James Merritt, Jake Olsen, Phil Waldrop,
and Michael Jr. So get your tickets at gridironmen.com or
rickandbubba.com under the sponsors and enjoy.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
The weekend with all these great guys. We'll be right back.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
All right, so now someone has suggested this should be
called Corn Dog 411. I think I can now clear
any Dawson. I think we have cleared both Dawson.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
We've done the investigation.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
We've investigated.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
We found. Involving Adler.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
We found in the trash can what would normally not
be the type of a container that the many cord
dogs were brought.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (49:14):
It was a smaller container this time.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
But we wasn't sure what was in it or had
been in it.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Had been in it.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
Right.

Speaker 4 (49:20):
So we had Adler take it out of the trash
and eat the crumbs.

Speaker 10 (49:24):
We made him sample the crumbs out of the trash
can to identify what was in that box.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
And when he ate the crumbs out of the trash,
as soon as he ate them, he goes, those are
corn dog crumbs.

Speaker 10 (49:39):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
So, Bub, I think we're back to you ate them all.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
I don't think I ate that many.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
All right, well, here's what I don't understand. When we
were talking about this, is there no one who says, oh, yeah,
I ate the last one that I threw in the
container in the garbage bin?

Speaker 2 (49:53):
Nobody remembers that? I'm going to tell you this. I
got like two or three. I ate three.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
And when I got them, the box was nearly full.
And it wasn't that long after. So whoever ate the
last ones had to have ate a lot of them. Bubba,
how many do you think you hit?

Speaker 2 (50:08):
I think I hit six. That's a low number. Which
means 12. That's a low number. 11 or 12. I
would say nine tops. Absolute tops.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
Bubba, those little mini corn dogs, you could eat six
of those and never knew you even did it.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
No, because usually, let me tell you what I did. Involuntarily.
I had three trips.

Speaker 7 (50:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
And I had three trips. I think you're skipping a trip.

Speaker 10 (50:30):
I had two or three pieces of chicken in each trip.
I put the sauce in the container also that I
was eating out of. And I had like two corn
dogs or three. I couldn't have had more than that.
It wouldn't have fit in there.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
And the corn dogs are not the main meal for me.
They're the side meal. That's me. I may have three.
Three trips. It's either six or nine.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
See, my deal is.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
I may have eaten one in there while I was
just talking. Oh, see, now we're in double digits. I'm
talking about absolute max.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Tim Spencer with Buffalo Wild Wings, who was kind enough
to bring us the food today. Tim, what happened with
the corn dogs?

Speaker 6 (51:10):
Rick, I really, truly am sorry for bringing on a
national crisis. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
I cut back on the corn dogs this time and
brought some cheesecake bites.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Which I'm hammering as we speak.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
They're good, too.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
Golly.

Speaker 6 (51:24):
And, you know, I guess there was no communication.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
I just brought a small box of corn dogs.

Speaker 9 (51:30):
I have learned my lesson.

Speaker 10 (51:31):
It's never going to happen.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
No, Tim, tell us how many were in there.

Speaker 4 (51:35):
No, it is your fault, Tim. We're trying to figure
out who ate a big pile of them. Tim, I'm
going to cut to the chase. This is your fault.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
Tim, how many were in there, you think?

Speaker 11 (51:44):
I'm not there any longer.

Speaker 6 (51:45):
Y'all talk about whatever we need to do.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
Tim, how many was in there, you think?

Speaker 10 (51:49):
There was probably 25 corndogs in there.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Oh, Bubba ate that and not even blinked. Bubba ate
half of them. Bubba, you admitted half. Bubba, you ate
half of them. I was 9 to 10. That means
you ate 15. That's almost half. Tim's almost half. That's
not all of them. Yeah, but it's a big hit.
I ate three. I know I ate three. I just
remember the box scene. You left 10. Let's try to
count them up. The box scene. Hashbrown Hero had five.
He had five? That's who ate them. Chad had five.

Speaker 4 (52:14):
All right, let's go back to that.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Let's count them up, Chad. I had three.

Speaker 6 (52:17):
I had three.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
I had at least three.

Speaker 3 (52:19):
Three.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
Yeah, three or four for me for sure. I don't
know how much. I didn't count, though. Greg, what did
you have?

Speaker 6 (52:24):
Three.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
I remember it.

Speaker 8 (52:27):
I hate admitting this in front of Rick. I'm not
a corndog guy. I don't eat corndogs.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
What about you, Hash Brown, do you say? Five. What
about Adler? Adler? I had zero.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
Not counting them out of the can.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
Greg, here comes the number. Now, we don't. Greg, here
comes the number. Tim, stand by for this number. Tim,
how many were in that box? About 25.

Speaker 6 (52:49):
25, 30.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
I had one. Tim had one.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Natalie did not.

Speaker 8 (52:55):
I didn't see Natalie get into it.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Did Dawson have any? No, he didn't. Natalie ate a
bunch of them. She was tearing them down. All right,
what you got, Bob? Well, I hadn't done it all. Tim,
is it 20 or 25? No, she said 25.

Speaker 4 (53:10):
He said 25 or 30.

Speaker 2 (53:11):
It was a big handful. At least 25. So it
doesn't come in a pre-count. No, sir. Okay, so we
don't know exactly.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
But you're guessing at least 25. He said 25 to 30.
His last statement was 25 to 30. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (53:24):
And I'm well versed.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Oh, wait.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
That's true. Natalie said she had two.

Speaker 6 (53:28):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
All right, I had two and Natalie had two.

Speaker 6 (53:31):
All right. All right.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
So there you go. Rick, I think we got a
case of Tim didn't bring.

Speaker 4 (53:36):
Enough corn dogs. Well, I'm going to address that here
in a minute.

Speaker 3 (53:39):
15.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Especially if Bubba's in the room. Without me, we can
account for 18 of them. How about you said 15?

Speaker 6 (53:46):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (53:47):
And that's 12 for you. Five and three is eight,
eight's 11, another three.

Speaker 4 (53:52):
So you had 12.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
It's 15, one with Tim, 16, two from Natalie's, 18.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
So you had 12.

Speaker 6 (53:57):
You had the rest.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
So I had how many?

Speaker 4 (54:00):
10 to 12.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
I think it was 10. That's about where it was.
And that's more than Tim said he brought. He said
20 to 25. But what I don't understand is he
said 25 to 30. He's never said the word 20.

Speaker 6 (54:09):
25 to 30.

Speaker 4 (54:09):
Bubba's got to step down to two.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
The number 20 was never uttered. So 10 would be 28.

Speaker 12 (54:12):
That would be the middle of the estimate. I would
think 10 is a good number. That's fair. Think about this.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
Who ate the last one? I don't remember. That many
corn dogs are in your stomach right now.

Speaker 7 (54:28):
Look.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
And it's got some friends. Please, can I? Rick, that's
what I was going to say. When we started this segment.
They're not lonely.

Speaker 8 (54:36):
Rick, when we started this segment, he said that was
not the main course.

Speaker 6 (54:40):
It was the side.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
They lied to me. The chicken. The chicken was the
main thing.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
You realize ten corn dogs for somebody would be all
they need.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
I'm saying ten. I really think it was about eight.

Speaker 8 (54:52):
Rick, I could feed six kids at the middle school today.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Bubba ate all the food. I think it was eight.

Speaker 4 (55:00):
Bubba made all the food for a village in Ethiopia.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
All right, so listen, listen, listen. I ate the village.
Where's our food?

Speaker 4 (55:09):
Well, Bubba decided to have his first. All right, listen, Tim,
before you go. That's why I'm not a first pick
on foreign missions. All right, how about this?

Speaker 2 (55:17):
Tim, Tim, this is where you can't mess up.

Speaker 4 (55:19):
This is where you can't mess up. You don't have
to bring two helpings, but never, never assign the corn
dog to the box. The corn dog needs to be
in the same size as the boneless wings and that
plastic covering and the bowl, that popcorn bowl.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
Or the large thing. How many did... Did Scott and
Hunter eat?

Speaker 6 (55:42):
No.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
Oh, they didn't eat. No, Scott didn't eat. They didn't.

Speaker 6 (55:44):
They didn't.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Hunter ate chicken. I saw him eat chicken. He had
one of them. Tim, thanks, buddy. Thanks, Tim. He had
at least a few corn dogs.

Speaker 4 (55:51):
Don't put the corn dogs in a tiny container again.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
And count them before they come.

Speaker 1 (56:00):
