Speaker 2 (00:01):
Welcome to Selective Ignorance, a production of the Black Podcast
Network and I Art Radio. All right, y'all, welcome to
at bonus of selective ignorance, where we plan to get
heavily ignorant. Yeah maybe yeah, excellent ignorance eslon ignorant. By
the way, the joke is this Nigga said epsilon.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
We are drinking s polon.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
I think epsilon is like a Greek letter from not
I don't think I think it's a Greek letter.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
It's just it's a Greek letter. Like people pledge to epsilon.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
There's there's fraternities that have epsilon in it.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Seriously, yes, I'll be knowing.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'll just be saying there mostly white. No, I don't
want to pledge, said we want to do?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
We want to let me tell you about the microaggressions
of Greek letter.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
So, so I.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Went to a pool party a couple of weeks ago. Right, okay,
it's this girl comes up to me. She knows me
from the podcast. I'm with two of my homegirls. I'm
with Crystal and my other homegirl who pledged.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Right, what's Crystal?
Speaker 1 (01:11):
The only Crystal?
Speaker 3 (01:12):
I know, no, no, no, what is she AKA?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Okay, I'm with two of my homegirls. One pledged right, okay, So.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I pull up and this girl not only knows me
from my podcasting, but she also pledged with my with
my DJ Jazzy.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Okay, so.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Is a Delta.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
So I'm with my homegirls and I was like, oh,
my homegirls are a KA.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
And she immediately goes to look at Crystal.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Mind you, I'm telling you this because my whole girl
is dark skin that actually pledged AKA, and so she's
just like so literally, I'm like, She's like, well, where's
your friend that pledged AKA? And she immediately looks at
Crystal and was like, your AKA, And she says, no,
my other friend is right next all on, my other
friend is right next to Crystal.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
She's like, oh, well, where's your.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Friend that pledged AKA, completely ignoring yeah, And I said,
this is my friend that's an AHA, and she was
so like, oh hey, but twice she overlooked her completely
because she's a dark skin girl. And the the you know,
(02:41):
they have all these stereotypes stick around Black Greek fraternities
and sororities that if you're AKA, you're light skinning pretty.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
If you're Delta, you're dark skin. If you're a que
you're a whole ass nigga.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
If you're a Kappa you might be d l Like
this is just all the things that I hear because
they be shitn'y you know what I mean. But I
was like, this is so nasty and y'all motherfuckers thought
I would have ever pledged. First of all, she was
pledging you. She didn't even pledge at HBCU. She pledged
at Georgia State. While she was pledging bro she literally
(03:18):
was like going to get fucking Chick fil A all
hours of the week, morning during the day, like she
ain't had ship to do. She was doing people's work.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
She was.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
I was like, the humility, the things that she had
to do.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
No, no, no, no humility.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh what is it called when you that hazing bullshit?
Speaker 3 (03:42):
He people go to walk across the.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Brooklyn and we see where did he is? Right now?
That is that is monstrous behavior.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
But that's part of your allegiance to what you.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Get out of here.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
I don't care this.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
That hazen bullshit.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
The for the sororities and fraternities just to also unfortunately
spew microaggressions to.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Your own people. Years later, I was discussed.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
But they're not supposed to do that.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Luckily my friend was so high she ain't, but me
and Crystal was like, bitch.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I almost wanted to motif on that because of that,
Like you are literally sitting here.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I heard Crystal say no, and me and.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Her both didn't pledge. We both couldn't you go to
Florida for that? Should?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I mind you?
Speaker 2 (04:31):
I know that there's like FAM and BCC, and there's
there's HBCUs in the state of Florida. But the way
that me and Crystal roll a bitch ain't telling us
what like our attitudes would have never allowed us to
get haze for.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
The sake of saying we are part of some letters.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I'm a part of letters already. It's called the L
G B, T Q I A plus.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Letters and that right what I don't know, I'm asking.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
No, I ate some kochil sucks something to me.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
More than that, what I had to do more than that?
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Don't you have an A k A wait, hold on
Hagen has nothing to do with wait wait wait was
your maybe the hazing?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
There's levels of hazing, right was the first couchie you
ate shaved? Was it bush? Nappy? Was it full bush?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's supposed to be a problem. No, just like niggas.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
If I go down there and it don't spell, I
don't care if it's hairy or not, I'm gonna eat it.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 3 (05:33):
I just didn't know you thought y'all.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Thought hazing would have been eating a hairy cooch.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Maybe a little Frederick Douglas tell.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
You now, I don't care. As long as you don't smell.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Well, maybe that could have been a part of it,
of your ritual where you had to eat smelly couchie.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
No, that's like.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
You have to do it. You can't, Yeah, but you
have to.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Actually, if you forced me to eat smelly couchie, oh
you got a slap box to chick, I'm reporting you
to the CDC.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I don't even know if that's part of how we
can report people. But there's no way you're gonna force
me a BB plus.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Ba.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
If it's smelled, there is a fungus for bacteria down there,
and that means something.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Needs to be treated.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
And if you forced me to eat it, I'm reporting
you to the CDC and saying that you were out
here about to start another pandemic.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I'm not eating and there's bacteria in our mouths.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
So if you go down there and eat a kuchie
that smelly, you just adding bacteria to the bacteria.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
The CDC stand for kucie, don't clean.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
But No, I was really like annoyed because to me,
that was that was a level of ignorance that I
was like, Oh, like, you are literally ignoring that you
were talking to three women because she's dark skinned.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
And I was so annoyed by.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
That vitation at home Chrystal.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
And Crystal was the a k because she was because
the prototype of what they knew it wasn't me because.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
I said, oh, my homegirl.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Pledged right completely looked over my homegirl that's dark skin.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
And I was like, I was disgusted about this ship.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Would I be honorary what? No, I'll be honorary doctorate.
I'll get my I ain't gonna hold you.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I would get an honorary doctorate degree not from the place.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
All of them can't call you doctor Mandy though the fuck.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Y'all not.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
For Brian, but you had to. You had to call
it the honorable doctor the honorable.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
The honorable would be called the honorable doctor, like the judge.
I'll be the honorable doctor, Mandy B.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah that was my that was Angelo.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
That's too much?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Are you kidding me? What's too much?
Speaker 6 (07:47):
Honorable doctor? That's like a that's too long.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
But there, you know what now I want to think
of some people with really long names and we called
it names.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
I mean, I can't go.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Aspect at least it's just to be at the end.
But the honorable doctor Mandy B. Y'all could do that.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
See I dropped that.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
I don't do.
Speaker 7 (08:22):
Anymore.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
No, My my pops is a Q, my mom is
an a k A. But they never really, they never
even talked to me about pledging. When I went to
really they didn't care one way or another. They would
just like, go to college and they don't care what
I met, majored in none of that.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Ship.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Just do what you're gonna do because the pathways, it's
like if you choose to go down the pathway, that.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Didn't go down there. But they never came to me
or my brother one way or another. It was just
like whatever you do is whatever you do. It wasn't
even a conversation.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
For generation, so neither my parents went to college.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Yeah, I mean, my thing about it was that, hey,
I'm not getting hate. I'm not gonna let your niggas
wop my ass for six weeks and I got to.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I got to do my coursework in your like and
then they're even the meetings.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
It took up.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Because it's part of the discipline.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
I remember, I didn't even know anything about the pledging
process at all. And one of my homeboys, Uh, you know,
you bond, right, You're like, oh, ship your freshman year,
you figure out who's gonna be.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Here in your ecosystem.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
And then one day I seen one of the homies.
He walked past us. We was going to the quad
the lunch are the food ship. He ain't say nothing
when he walked past us, and I'm like yo yo,
and he's like yo, chill, And I'm like chill, what, Like.
Speaker 3 (09:29):

Speaker 5 (09:32):
So I said, what, like, yo, hes pledging? He's pledging Sigma.
I set.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I don't know what the yeah, what is that? Then
I'm watching him.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
He got on these long, these high black boots pants
tucked in the bag.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
The book bag is like it has no no, no,
kind of slack. It's on you and he.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Had on this Scully hat. It was I was like
what so then they put me on game and I'm
like damn. And then that's when I learned you can't
have You can't He couldn't talk to his girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
He can communicate with, you know, outside yourself, just family members.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
It was.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
It was a whole thing.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
And his girlfriend at the time, she was up under him,
and I was like, well, that's not gonna work.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
And he was like, well if it don't.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Guess what, there's a penalty he has to pay if
they find out he's lacking.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Like a financial penalty.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
They had.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
And I heard I also heard I don't know if
it's true, but if you don't, if you don't, if
they'll test you random times of the day to make
sure your studies.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
You know, the things that you read, you know they
got to study right.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
So if you don't know about the history of the
chapter you're in, or whatever the case with being in
quiz you on it. If you come back with incorrect answer,
that could be a problem, especially when you've been giving
an assignment.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Perhaps you're not supposed to be with your girl.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
They're gonna know, you don't know if you're getting the
asked because it's certain things you're gonna be, You're gonna
be a different discipline.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Mix.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Boyfriend was a Kappa at and yeah it was a
Morehouse Kappa andeotype of I mean, he was on the
football team.
Speaker 1 (11:09):

a little but even when we left, my mom loved him.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
He was like he was so he was just so sweet.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
But yeah, dating him was when I like learned all
the things. And I I questioned his manhood because I said,
letting him do what you not. Don't let them know
niggas talk.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Do you like that?
Speaker 3 (12:03):
He was telling me, like supposed to do that.

And then what happened. So when you when he tells
you this stuff, no, no, no, I.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Mean he pledged, and I mean we ended up breaking up.
We were all together for like I don't know, maybe
like a year, but we broke up and he went
on graduated, he ended up entering the military. I saw
his life on face on the Facebook. On the Facebook.
He got a whole little nice life you got. He
(12:49):
got the life that makes sense of a man who
was some more house and he lived the straight and
narrow path for sure. The only thing I did agree
with the wife is white, which I would I wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Have thought she got a booty also tracks a little bit.

all of these niggas, so I was already cool with
most of them.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
You was fraterning, you were, you were frat adjacent.
Speaker 4 (14:07):

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Like, if you could, if you could pledge what what
Greek letter would you pledge to?
Speaker 3 (14:21):
I'd probably be an alpha.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
I was about to say, and white I can go. Yeah,
I'll probably be some of my frat friends.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Uh nineteen o eight, Yeah, I think it's eight.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Let me say before they get mad in the comments,
one of my some of my good homies are alphas.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
And then are we allowed to talk about this?
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Probably say that bad about them?
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Some ecuador How you know about a goddamn I got to.
Speaker 6 (14:47):

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Can I ask you, like, did you ever date anybody
that pledged?
Speaker 6 (14:56):
No? But I messed around with a couple of alphas.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Oh so you are alpha, girly.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
Not necessarily, they just so happened to be alphas.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Okay, well I was a girl once.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
That's it. What kind of reputation did they have on campus?
Speaker 6 (15:09):

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Respect?
Speaker 3 (15:13):

That is that the blue Yeah? Dancing like hold on,
you know what you know?
Speaker 3 (15:40):
I'm acknowledging that's that's the way you were.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
When you in New York City and someone says they're
from Staten Island.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
That's not like Women beat Beta Sigma THEATA. I think
it's for the women tried.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Y'all said, should we be talking about this?
Speaker 3 (16:00):
And it's cool, but now you're no, they're going to
be mad, disrespectful. I mean, we be mad. But listen,
let me tell you what happened.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
That's why I'm always respectful of listen to organization, no.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Organizational intent.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
I respect it because we talked about it in the
last episode.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Okay, the organization look intent intent, sure, aggression and not.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Everybody, not everybody does that, not everybody does. Pull it
up you and mind you remember this, hold on, wait.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
You know dispectful the Greek letters who killed the boy
in college?
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Right? Yeah? But also I want to let me add
to that.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Based on so each of the fraternities have their own
chapters in different city, different schools.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
There's different case.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I think that the Southern.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Son Louisiana, it was Southern University College, so it was
OMEGA five, but it was a particular chapter her.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Right, that's what that's what the chapters is because they're
different schools and geographical You.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Can't put that on the entire organization.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
I didn't put nothing on that.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
But that.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
But that's always I mean that, that's the unfortunate part
of That's why they have to, you.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Know, chapters the KKK. I can see you and talk
about these letters.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
But everybody had a chapter.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Don't even want to Now we've gone completely. We was
definite disrespectfulfore I tried.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
I was trying. I was trying.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
See, that's why she couldn't be bought none of that
ship because what the.
Speaker 1 (17:37):

that killed some niggas.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
No, not them. They they violated, But I don't. I
wouldn't put you violated, but niggas. But even beyond that,
niggas comit crimes without the fraternity.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
Yeah, okay, too far.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Listen, this is what I'll say. This is what I say.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Hazing and people dying and being injured in the midst
of happens.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
No, No, absolutely it happened. It happens a lot. It's
happened on a lot of different school campuses.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
It's been happening for years and then and there's the
thing that's talked about consequences to that yeah, but it's
the thing that's been talked about amongst the Greek society
and the society a long time.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Only because can you go back to the Louisiana case.
What consequences they are tried for murder? Are they?
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Yeah, yeah, it's not that's not gonna get And suddenly
people online Southern University canceled that they suspended that chapter. Yeah,
there's a lot of clip Yeah, there's a lot of
there's a lot of fraternities.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
What I'm saying, when unfortunately it gets to that extreme,
but when it does, there are consequences for that.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
I didn't know. Something also happened at Berwke College.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
There's dozens of stories. It's really going on for decades.
But yeah, yeah, this is nothing new.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Okay, well, transfer to University of Memphis. I went to
Florida State for a semester.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Go ahead, was a seminole.
Speaker 6 (18:57):
They're not like I hated.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I hated.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Tell hoowsie, you want different blacks, but Florida State is
super white. Yeah, okay, I feel like the only black
ones is the football team.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Calling themselves the seminoles is also very crazy.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
But in my dorm room, whatever I was, I was
close to Sorori row. Okay for on Saturdays, obviously football,
like football is insane, Okay, so these parties will go
down the white the white frats would go crazy.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (19:35):
In my dorm there was this what oh in my
dorm there was this girl who actually got raped by
this Uh. I forgot what the frat was, but there
was a whole investigation that went down, and that frat
chapter was under like they couldn't practice anything until it
(19:55):
was like cleared. But I'm not. I didn't never follow
it through, but it was either closed or like they
I don't know what it was, but like they can't basically,
like when it gets that crazy, you can't keep going
with like, oh, it's just like we're still going to
be practicing. Everyone who's part of this chapter can like
still be kumbaya.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Like no it and not to talk about your own money.
I heard some things about that school.
Speaker 6 (20:22):
No, that's not my I didn't graduate. You didn't graduate
graduate from the University of Memphis.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I left.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
Oh, you Niversity of Memphis.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
So I talked to a nigga that went there. You know,
there's a cruising bathroom on campus.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
You knew about it? Wait, you know about it?
Speaker 6 (20:36):
I've heard about it. I didn't, so.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Okay, now maybe telling you so there's a there's a
bathroom on the University of Memphis campus. I hope I
don't get nobody in trouble. I just know allegedly it
was there four years and I don't know if it's
still presently there, but basically teachers and athletes would go
(20:58):
in there men and get dick sucks and all things,
and like it was just literally a year. This was
the year of the guy that I know that went there,
that told me how it went down and had.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
All the stories. He went there in two thousand and
maybe thirteen.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
Okay, two stories that I had heard. I went there
twenty fifteen, twenty six.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Okay, So it was there before you.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
Yeah, it was there before. But I did hear stories
that it was like a.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Thing, it was a whole.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
It was never confirmed, but it was like rumors.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Oh no, no, no, no, he got his dick suck.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Okay, So like it was a professional.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Oh yeah, he was.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Young, and I mean probably experimenting whatever on the football team,
probably ball, basketball, Okay, yeah, Yeah, Memphis had a good.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Yeah, I know who else was on the team during him?
Now I felt like I'm.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
Getting Ros played for University of Memphis.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
You I'm not talking about Rose.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
No, I know you're not. I'm just saying they have shit.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
When Rose entered the league, I think I was in
middle school like Rose has been in the league. He
was in the league for a long maybe maybe high school.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Yeah, that's two thousand and I just don't.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Like to coach Tiboeau for Chicago.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Oh wait, you're right, maybe oh nine, two thousand maybe
nine because I graduated, oh nine, And I got to
actually interview Rose Antims because I was credential media for
the Orlando Magic because I did radio. I did Magic Mondays,
not Magic City. But okay, anyways, let's get into some
of these topics that I have.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Where do y'all want to start?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
So we're talking all family matters this bonus episode, you
know what, Let's start with the social media users that
respond to LeVar balls divorce. Let's start there actually, and
there's a clip.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
If you could go to that.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Nope, damn not. You clicked everything, but that one. You
go back, you can click second one second.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
One. There we go. I all right, play that shit,
play that shit life.
Speaker 9 (23:03):
Just divorced him after thirty years of marriage. She wants
to go her own path. That's what LeVar Ball says.
Love is not real. How are you going to vow?
He takes care of you for thirty years, dying from sickness, illness,
and then he gets his leg amputated a year later,
you decide to decide.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
To divorce him.
Speaker 9 (23:19):
I mean the var Ball seems pretty energetic and placent
with it, like he's accepted the fact. But it just
took care of you, you were sick, the vows you
made in marriage thirty years and then you get divorced.
That's so demoralizing, bro. My question is what was her
first initial thought when she decided to marry him. I
get things happened thirty years, like you don't think thirty
years down the line, but I don't know the details.
(23:40):
It seems like it's because of his amputation. He's in
good spirits as always, prayers up for him, love, all
that good stuff to LeVar I hope you're doing good,
but I mean, man, that just sucks, bro.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Love based on what like it seems like it's because
it's amputation.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
What are you talking about's parasol.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
People are weird that part.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
And again it's hard because I guess LeVar he's a
public figure, so naturally he's going to talk about you know,
especially somebody someone may ask him, hey, we haven't seen you.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Apparently in twenty eighteen, she had a stroke. Yeah, he
stayed with her.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
The conversation is he held it down. Kind of the
conversation with pap who's spreading all the things right, like
like LeVar allegedly held her down after the stroke through
her health complications.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
He had a health complication, leg gets amputated, she files
for divorce.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
I mean, but we don't know if it's because we
don't know if it's the imputation.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
I ain't gonna maybe maybe you can see him having anger.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Issues if we're going to be parasocial here allegedly, like
we don't want to put that on him. First off,
let me finish, because you just let this nigga say
that energetic man.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
It seems like a good god.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
He is my god.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
So I'm saying LaVar Ball for what I've seen in
his demeanor to me as a woman, is not the
type of nigga I could ever be with he's boisterous,
he's obnoxious, he's loud's.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
He uh, he's right. He's the leader.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
He's the way that he's even placed himself over his
sons and what he wants from them. Like to me,
as a woman who dates men, you're gonna let me talk.
That's not the type of nigga I think I could
be in a home with. And so the I like
quiet niggas you done met my man?
Speaker 1 (25:25):
He whispers when he talks. LeVar, don't do that.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
So what I'm saying is when someone who has a
high esteem of themselves, which he always has, when you
reach somewhere to where you can't move how you.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Used to move like you know, it's the It's.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
It goes back to the to the football players that
don't get to live out their full careers because they
get injured. Right, He's someone who's had a high esteem
of himself who ends up needing his leg amputator.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I could see the rehabilitation and having to learn how
to live with one leg. You might be a little mean.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
I think he was. Joe Jackson, Oh bitch, give me
a coffee.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
I can't come get it. My shit fucked up. I
can't walk. You know what I mean, you take too long,
and it seem like you probably that way I held
you down when you had your issues.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Look at you. See the accent you see I That's
what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
We don't know, but we just hope. Listen, I hope
they have some healing.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Well you already said he started seeing someone else too.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Oh ship they both, he'd have said, listen nice, she
moved on.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
I'm already to me. But that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Come on now, she said, white, the new one, the
new girl is white for sure? Come wow, come on, Cam.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I for sure for sure in my mind.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
But I'm not no do it. We're here. This is
the bonus episode is for.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
You know how Wes say like black men don't want
black women. Essentially sometimes not all mm hmm. There are
certain black men that black women don't admit that they
don't want either.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Oh yeah, okay, okay, okay, he's a lot.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Yeah, I can see that being I can see that
being obnoxious.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
I can see that being maybe that contributes to him
going after particular type because he's already been.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
The black female delegation was like, no, he don't want
to hear Lakeisha mouth no, whoa. Now he don't want
to hear be squabbling?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
But what you see? What men do you have? Made
Lakeisha the problem? When I'm sitting here.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Him, he don't want somebody to just don't want to
hear lakeisha.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Mouth, right, problem Lakeisha's energy.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
That's true, But he didn't know.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
I mean, I was surprised there the long averages say
what otherwise?
Speaker 4 (27:54):
But that's not a hot take. That is not I
love my loud black sisters. I'm not making it's better.
But but because it's because of what fifty cent yousould say,
Oh do you quote? But the niggas who talk like that,
(28:16):
I can see. Look the niggas who say I don't
want to date black women because they they seem LeVar
is all product. That's what I'm gonna say. Like he
doesn't want to hear Lakeisa's mouth doing her regular thing,
but he doesn't want to hear VARs. Yeah, so LeVar,
how that works?
Speaker 2 (28:34):
By LeVar Bar confirmed he's seeing a new woman after
separating from his wife for thirty years.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
While reports have claimed she's Colombian.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Wow seven nah, no Colombian the white same thing.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Seven.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
I disagree. Columbia is can be black.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah, do you think he find me? He's not like.
Speaker 6 (29:00):
A Carol G TYPEB. She looks Latina, she doesn't look.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
No, no, we're not talking about what she looks like. We're
talking about how she talks.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Well, not only that men go to Colombia on some
passport bro ship yeah without him, No no, no, But I'm
saying in terms of the thirty.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Years, get you a Columbia, why not? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (29:18):
You do you know how much access to.
Speaker 6 (29:21):
White Argentina that's spicy?
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Yeah? Cubans too, yeah that ship.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
But there is there is a lot of white Colombians
as well. Yes, there are Afro Latina Colombians, but they
they're white too. My best friend growing up very light
skin could have passed as white, but was Columbia.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
There's also white Mexicans.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yea off white Africans.
Speaker 6 (29:44):
But that's the mentality though, really really, like I will say,
out of all the lying in American countries, Argentina is
the one that is like European spicy white that like
even Latinos are like, we don't really.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Didn't they take in the Nazis? Yes? Yeah, so like
you know what I.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
Mean with Columbia.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Listen, let me be clear.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
I fun with Colombia.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
I love their burgers and I got my teeth done there,
So Colombia is high on the list and I had
a wonderful time there. Meda Gene was.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Managing.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
It's metaging is metaging?
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah, managing? Two else to thank you.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
With the one? Oh my god, you know, excuse me,
you are not listening.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
Knowledge knowledge you were killing me with.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
Do you know how much access? This is an ignorant take?
Oh my god, the access LeVar is going to have
the CoA. But look at you now making all the
rappers say that that's where they get their Colombian white.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
I just they get their coffee from.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
They said Columbia white. They said Colombian. They're not talking
about the woman. They talking about bad.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Yeah that is.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Let let me tell you too, for anyone who continues
to even label Columbia the way that they, that's because
niggas like these movies, Bro, niggas ain't even go to Columbia.
So over the last five to ten years, tourism and
maybe because we now travel war as well, tourism have
has gone up. So ironically, Mexico is more unsafe now
(31:31):
than Colombia. Oh yeah, so so in Colombia, and this
is what I learned going there.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
It was, it was really, it was really interesting.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
There's quite a large XPEC community there now, clearly a
lot of Europeans, but a lot of Us there now too. Yeah,
and because tourism, because these stigmas have kind of lowered
and people have like taken the fear away from Columbia,
the cartel has now invested a lot into tourism, in
the safety and to keep it safe.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
So while I was there, they actually were educating.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Me on I don't know, and Carthagna, a lot of
this is just managing that I'm talking about. They were like,
the cartel protects a lot of us because if shit
starts happening, it's bad for business. And so this has
become they want and so it's way safe for now.
(32:22):
And I don't know if y'all saw this was just
a couple of months ago that the cartel was blowing
ship up in.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Mexico, but like, I don't know it. They don't want
us to see what's happening.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
But which is surprising that that didn't go bigger, considering
they're trying to build a border. I'm surprised that they
didn't like, like you didn't know about yes, yes, and
so to me, it's interesting that even the rappers continue
to infiltrate this.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Idea of it.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
But you know, you know who y'all need to listen
to Jada Nori. They got juice bars and coffee shop.
They playing coffee bees from Columbia now in real life.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
Well, I don't know about Nori, but Jada still he
dabbles in the in the You know that that type.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Of talk, does he?
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Yea, they have to is wrapping. The metaphorical nature of
hip hop allows those references.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
That's why we know them and it's never gonna stop.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Okay on that, But I mean, like, but to your
point though, like it would make sense that Colombia would
be safe that I don't know why Mexico, Like do
they not want the tourists there? Like they don't given
the cartel wars, But not only.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
The cartel wars happening, you also have the I.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Can't imagine them viewing Americans as a whole now as
a that they want to keep because honestly, we our
government is building the border and shipping niggas out and
to be fear over the last two three, four years,
there's been really bad press about Americans that are killing
(34:04):
each other over there and then coming back, like there's
been groups of friends that go and people end up killing.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
And and it's you know what I mean. So I
don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
I think it's really interesting seeing how much lack of
information is shared regarding really brainwashing us to see Mexico
a different way than it none of this.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
That's why we got to rely on the you know,
those platforms who you have people that go and visit
and they share their experiences because we're not going to
get the truth from you know, the current media correct
on both sides, you know. So it's like, yo, people
are still going to Mexico. Yeah, so it's like all right,
hey guys, and everything is safe over there.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
How you experience?
Speaker 5 (34:46):
I got a homeboy that that's from my boy J
from the Bay, from from from from ok from San Francisco.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
He from the Bay.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
He went to Columbia and he lost his mind. He
was supposed to there a week. He ends extending his
stay to two three and he's sending pictures and videos.
He's like, bro, I want to move out here. I
want to move to actually I want to move out here, you.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
And it's like he showed me. I'm like, damn, so
what's the cost of living. He's like, bro, it's cheap, cheap.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Whole meals for like three quarter dollars.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Yeah, he was showing the meals.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Crazy crazy, Yeah, it was really really good. I love
Columbia and sounds like the trip, the trip to work
on their pr because Colombia is a place where if
you go, you're like, oh sh My boyfriend even joined
me because he thought he had to come and protect me,
but I was.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
I was good.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
Good Columbia.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, you.
Speaker 6 (35:38):
Know, they were the Mexico that they like this the
cartel war because they just want to be able to
control the like the bigger regions, and that's why it's
like they're taking it's like one cartel takes over and
then it's like they retaliate. And that's what's unfortunately has
come up like in between the tourism and making it unsafe.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
By the way, by the way, what's funny is y'all
niggas who ain't really been to Mexico yet or don't
know what's happening.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
As soon as you land.
Speaker 6 (36:10):
All of the taxi capshelming.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
It's based on so different cartel groups own different strips
of even hotel row of Toulon. Like you, that's why
Uber and all that not. You gotta go to a
certain taxi company and they can only pick up and
drop off in certain locations.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
How do you as you? How do you? How do
you get preparation for it when you get there?
Speaker 2 (36:37):
You know, so when you land, there's a whole bunch
of like kiosks.
Speaker 6 (36:43):
And yeah loves to like car rental kind of and.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
They literally ask what is your hotel and they literally
will give you like a number of company.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
You can only get to your.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Hotel by this car, no other car service, right, But
how do you know what cartel is aligned with?
Speaker 3 (37:00):
It don't matter, It don't matter. Don't tell you.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
They're gonna tell you.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
They're gonna tell you what I mean. I don't want
to be with the I want to be with the
big dogs.
Speaker 5 (37:07):
I don't I don't say like like the bloods, crips
and and who like if they had the who has
the real juice?
Speaker 1 (37:13):
You know?
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Lift and the other niggas. I want to questions, don't
do it?
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Who's the big dogs.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
We don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
You just said bloods, crips, we got Latin Kings, we
got you consider the big dogs.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
I can't do that because I mean, I know way
too many.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
I know way too many in different and different different
fraternity street fraternities.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
I don't know if I can say that. Okay, I'll
say this though, I think as far as I'm trying
to think.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Who, no, let's not careful, let's not I'm.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Just thinking of public celebrities who we know who are affiliated.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
It seems like we do it all on. Let's do
that politicians that's affiliated.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
If we have a versus blood Chris, this is a
celebrity version.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Don't this one?
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Can you can? You can?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
You put up already is more crips than blood? That's
not going to say. I feel like we could. We
could be surprised. Everybody don't know. I think it's.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
You have Snoop Dogg celebrity Chris, so you're doing we have.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Chris Brown of the blood.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Let's start there, no more blood. I think there's better representation.
Yeah not?
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Is there more?
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Could you look up what celebrities have affiliations to the
crips and bloods and then.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
We'll get a list celebrity crips and bloods.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
Yeah, I would probably say, like Kendrick and Snoop If
you're gonna.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
Kendrick is what.
Speaker 5 (38:47):
He's part of neighborhood blood You told us a few episodes.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
We're talking about when I was young. I was young,
away Nick, Let's all right, crips and five. Let's see
who's the big dogs of the bloods and crips based
on celebrity affiliation.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
So crips is Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hustle. Easy.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
You know what? Get people the fact that.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
Let's be really clear here, half of that crip list.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Is already once you have the easy start getting a little.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Water hold on celebrities associated to the Bloods. You got
Lil Wayne, Cardi B, The Game, young Thug.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Yeah, they got to expand that list based on based
on this list. No, I'm not doing smoke.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Even if you smoke, what's listening here?
Speaker 3 (39:47):
There's a lot of people little all right, you're not
going to do that. I don't want to be in
that car.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Here we go, here's another list.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Let me let me get this list off Bloods, The Game,
y G, Chris Brown, Cardi B, shug Night, Walk Up
Up Boom crips.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
That's Republican. They got a lot of.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
Nipsey so easy, Warren g and only chopp Up Vince Stables.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Chopper is a crip. Yeah, oh I didn't even know
he was. I know he was affiliated.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
Okay, okay, go back up.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Where do we land?
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Basically, that's not enough. I don't like that. Put when
you see the politicians at affiliate.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
No, we're not doing that, said celebrity. Alright, so let's
look at these lists.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Go back to ice cube. Yeah, ice Cube? Yeah, why.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Based on this list?
Speaker 2 (40:33):
If you're if you have to take a plane, let's
make it more PG you have to get on a
plane with a certain group of celebs.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
I don't want to be in the first of all
group of first of all little way in the game
and niggas.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
You ain't gonna sleep.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
What's wrong with that? You're playing card yet.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
Nigga them Nigga's gonna be cracking jokes. You're gonna drink
some lean loud.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
You got thug. I don't want to talk to him.
I like his music.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
They're gonna be ask you why you need therapy. No,
he's the whole ride I mean, off this list, I'm
going with the Bloods.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
On this list, I'm going with the blood Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
So you you wouldn't want to be in with only bad.
This is a bad representation. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
They go down to the other list.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Who are the major figures? Who are Like?
Speaker 1 (41:21):
Why do you want to be crypto bad?
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Just you like that? Say that? No one said that
real quick?
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Let me say I got love for everybody said Nigga
said his name is a king.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
You thought you thought our June Teeth BTUs was bad?
Speaker 4 (41:43):
Oh man, we're just land the fraternitys and crips and
all types of ship.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Like, we're not saying no where.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
We didn't slander every type of game group.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
We didn't them. We have to move.
Speaker 5 (41:54):
We didn't know to everybody, all the fraternity, street fraternity,
the college fraternities.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Okay, let me see, let me base.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Yeah, I'm not going with the girls. Why do you
put the girls in there?
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Because it's really only Cardi that gang bangs like that.
Who else is game?
Speaker 4 (42:08):
I don't know nobody that's like super affiliated that's out
there like that talking. Yeah, that's talking as ship. Then
who that's not a Cardy? I'm sure there's some LA
rappers right now, somebody who is doing that. I'm not
saying there's no women crips. I'm just saying, like, who
are young is a blood?
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (42:25):
And then the only other person that I know gang
bangs is like, uh, the women affiliated with.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
Chicago, but those are Chicago.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
That's different. Is Kamaia affiliated?
Speaker 5 (42:33):
Well, they have you have the like the GDS, the
g DS and the rights laws. Oh cash, though I
don't know what proximity I'm assuming the gd Folk.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
Nation is Kamaia affiliated.
Speaker 4 (42:48):
I don't know, just the Bay, I think, right, she's
from the Bay, right y, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't
know what her.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
So I mean that that I mean that could.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
See we don't one of these people. Ruby Rose, she's
a blood. She's been with blood affiliation.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yeah she find so.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
So so what what we got out of this, Chris
Rose together, what.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
We got out of this? So far as it? Man,
he would be a Delta and a blood. The trucks though,
can you be truck?
Speaker 1 (43:16):
Can you?
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Can you be a fraternity and a street? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Why did you put me as adulta? Because I fly it?
Because I never said that I would.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Want to be well right now yeah, I feel very well.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Yeah, yeah, they have British blood, British crips.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
I never said that storms and uh.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
What's the other home skeptic? What the affiliation is? Yeah,
we're sucking everybody. Everybody died.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
Top the top, the top top boys is crazy. Don't
ever call them a.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
Topway may be topping, no bottom.
Speaker 5 (43:51):
But even even if they have bloods and crystal out there,
they don't even stab because they don't have no guns
out there.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Yeah, it's the hokey pokey out there.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
If you shy talk.
Speaker 6 (44:00):
About England, England one.
Speaker 3 (44:03):
As a recording.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
Okay, okay, I love that we have a football officionado.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Exciting times.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
All right, well let's get into niggas. Let's get into
Brandon Marshall. I'm curious about your thoughts on this one.
Oh yeah, by the way, b marsha is a good
friend of mine.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
Went to u C. Shout out to old town four
seven Chapper City.
Speaker 5 (44:30):
Is that blood or cripple Jason the area chap of City.
Oh that's that's those That's a whole.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
Other thing like that.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
It was given island right then you cut your arm on?
Speaker 2 (44:47):
All right, Well, y'all, Brandon Marshall has sparked debates after
sharing a video of his son being punished with a
two a m run. He said, this is my son,
not my friend. If you scroll next, we'll hear what
he was pretty much saying during this run. Yeah, y'all
(45:08):
gotta be quick with these little unmuting.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
There we go.
Speaker 10 (45:11):
We wanted to do that, We love to do that.
And then there's correction. Then there's discipline.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
You're walking, run run. It is two am, y'all.
Speaker 10 (45:19):
Discipline, correction is good even two in the morning.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
We run. You know, I'm gonta put my hands on you,
but I'm training you up to be a warrior.
Speaker 10 (45:28):
I'm training you be up to be a leader, to serve,
to have discipline, to be better than me.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Run. That's run. That's what them folks in Michigan. Let's go.
Speaker 10 (45:40):
If you don't start running, we're gonna go three miles.
So you better start running because you don't know when
I'm gonna tell you to stop.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
That you do it again. You don't want to listen.
We run, We work two in the morning.
Speaker 10 (45:55):
Let's go faster. I'm driving three miles per hour. You
should be going at eight or nine miles. Per hour
right now, it's no different.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
All right, So y'all.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
The former NFL star and also a host of I
Am Athlete is facing mixed reactions online after sharing a
video showing his son running alongside of his car.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
The internet thinks like this is too much.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
The debate is if this constitutes as child abuse, how
you should discipline a child.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
I will tell you watching.
Speaker 2 (46:30):
This is very reminiscent of my days as a basketball player,
as an athlete and baby, when we did not listen
to the culture, when we showed up bad in a game,
or we didn't.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Listen, that's what we did the next.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
Day in practice suicides, we did the bleacher the whole
And so to me, knowing that Brendan Marshall is an
athlete who probably this was his discipline since he was
in little league, this to me makes sense.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Yes, this is not bad. At least he didn't and
he literally said, I'm not gonna put my hands on you.
Speaker 5 (47:05):
And if he was a teenage in the street, guess what,
and he get into that street shit, they're.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
Gonna have him doing two am drills in a different way.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
It's funny. I always like, I always like questioned.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
Or wondered how people love his kid man.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
Well, I wonder how.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
People look to running as something for enjoyment, because for me,
running was a form of punishment growing up, so like
people wanting to wake up and go, jog and wake
up and go, but regardless wanting to do it when
it was a form of discipline. As an athlete, I
(47:40):
never understood how people grew a love for something that
was seen or that was used in punishment.
Speaker 4 (47:48):
I think for some people running it's like you know
how people be like, oh, it burns so good. I
feel like that's kind of the thing for running, where
like you hit that they call our runners high, Like
you push past those first whatever five six, seven miles
or whatever, and you get into this you because it's
releasing dopamine into your brain. You're getting a chemical reaction
from the running, right, so, like you get to this
(48:10):
point where you just like you're you fork, You're not
even really in your body no more.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
I think you're just going because it just you Like that.
Speaker 4 (48:17):
As far as this goes to me, the abuse isn't
really the running. The abuse is more abuse, not abuse.
But the if there's a violation, to me, the violation
is this video, Like, I don't understand what do we
need this for?
Speaker 3 (48:32):
Like what do you know, what are you proving to us?
Like that she is blaming me.
Speaker 4 (48:35):
It's always she is always blame to me putting your
kids discipline on social media like that is cloud chat
and corny to me. I always hated that. I don't
care what the activity is.
Speaker 5 (48:44):
Like the lady who uh when she told us son
the slam the PlayStation five? Yeah, yeah, yeah, said drop it,
drop it because he threw threw her cat on the ground,
slammed the cat.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
She said, slam that cat way and she made him
over and over.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
But you're mad still at the posting.
Speaker 4 (49:05):
Yeah, the posting is that it doesn't serve anybody, and
like if this is the discipline, then like you're adding
like embarrassment or public humiliation on top of the discipline.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
It doesn't make no sense to me.
Speaker 4 (49:15):
The other part of it is, and which you just
almost touched on about everybody doing it to me, the
I don't know, maybe it's not more effective, but to me,
it's like, all right, well, if your son did something
to break the rules of the house or whatever, then
maybe it says something about what are y'all doing at
the house.
Speaker 3 (49:35):
Why did he think that he could do that?
Speaker 4 (49:36):
So maybe y'all should do it together, because maybe it's
both of y'all's punishment, because maybe you may create an environment,
or maybe you didn't discipline them enough in a certain
kind of way or teach him enough of a certain
kind of way for him not to do the behavior.
Speaker 3 (49:49):
Whatever is disgree with that run together.
Speaker 5 (49:54):
Maybe he did something over and over and over again,
and this is the ultimate consequence of his actions.
Speaker 3 (49:59):
And I guarantee you, I don't think this kid is
going to learn a lot from this.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
Mind you from online right now, there is a trend
that we're talking about putting things online. There's a whole
trending conversation around gentle parenting. This looks more like gentle
parenting than the switch being pulled out then the belt
being pulled out, you know what I mean, Like the
physical the physical abuse of children was the way we
(50:24):
got punished a lot in that. I was okay, So
I'm this is actually to me a trend that's showing
a form of gentle parenting. This to me is actually
gentle compared to what children are. What we had to
Oh baby, because it was if my mama couldn't.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Reach about it was a fork, was the remote, It
was whatever was closer. She was throwing whatever was closest.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
Crazy, crazy what it was.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
And I didn't realize it till I got older. My
mama worked a lot of long.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Shifts, tired.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
What do you mean you ain't take that chicken out
the fridge? What you mean you had a job, And
as kids, we don't realize the one job our parents
give us. Just do it, take the meat, just make life.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
What do you mean I'm coming home?
Speaker 3 (51:21):
Like?
Speaker 1 (51:22):
What do you mean I'm coming home in this house
is a mess?
Speaker 3 (51:26):
To go out late? Yeah? Yeah, as a child.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
First off, I moved out age three days after graduating
high school. I've been out.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
That was second graduation.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
But no, that was first graduation.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
You know what I'm saying, You moving out with a
second graduation.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
Sure, I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 5 (51:44):
What do you mean it's an accomplishment in your mind
that you want to you want to get out graduated?
Speaker 1 (51:50):
No? No, I packed up that Sonata with not enough money,
and it was I shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
I was not ready, okay, And then on my way
to fucking Atlanta. Guess with blue my alternator. So I
had twelve hundred dollars and four hundred of it. I
wrote it about in my book All My Way Gainesville, Florida.
My alternator blows.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
All the way up. Mind you, I thought I had
a lot of money because there was a comment in
my account right when I got to Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, and a bit got on all quick.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
And I wasn't stripper built, Okay, I wasn't built for
that life.
Speaker 1 (52:27):
I just wasn't so like, No, it wasn't a graduation.
It was hard liking.
Speaker 6 (52:33):
So you saying that he's going to learn a lot
from this, I do think he will. But I think
the mom I don't know if they're still together and not,
also has to be on the same wavelength because it
could create they're not What if she's not doesn't agree
with what he's doing, then can create like a type
of like resentment towards him.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
However, I'm also not word but he's he's remarried, okay,
or re engaged. He's engaged right now, So I also
wonder if this is his form of punishment because even
what I'm dealing with right now in terms of a
friend venting to me, she's coming created a family with
a guy who had two kids, and as a stepmom,
(53:18):
she's good enough to clean up after them, good enough
to cook for them, good enough to take them to school,
good enough to do all these things, but she's not
good enough for them to listen to. And so, again,
not sure what he did, but when you have blended families, these.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
Kids act like they don't have to listen to the
other parent.
Speaker 6 (53:38):
And it's only from a blended family, you know what
I mean. Yeah, So my mom remarried. He had three
kids from his first marriage, so she only had me.
It was awkward and weird at first because but my
mom knew her boundaries and knew she didn't discipline. He
did the disciplining, but they knew to respect my mom,
(53:58):
and yes she would clean up after them, but they
there was rules and things that my stepdad set in
place before you step foot in the house. If you
don't follow those rules, then he's gonna be the one
doing the discipline. My mom never.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
But see even you saying that, right, I think even
as children we understand the disciplinarians and there's not resentment.
But if you're scared enough you gonna follow the goddamn rule.
And I don't mind instilling fear till you don't want
to fuck up so that you listen to me. It's
how I lived in Singapore. So when I moved to Singapore,
(54:34):
the first maybe day or two, they took us on
a tour and they let us know, this is the
safest place.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
You'll live because if you want to fuck up, you'll
be learned.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Ten thousand dollars fine for littering. You don't want to
be in a Singaporean prison.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Like. It's kind of how they do Dubai right.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
The citizens are so in fear of what the government
has actually put in in line for fines and things
like that. Justice will be served and you will serve it, bitch.
And so to me, when it comes to actually instilling
some level of order, I think the best thing you
could do is set aligne some consequences to where you
don't want to have to deal with those consequences, You
(55:18):
know what I mean, I do.
Speaker 6 (55:19):
My My only point is, like the mom also has
to be as much of a discipline area like to
where like there because there has been a couple of
times and I've been in a position where like if
the like my parents, my real dad and my mom
weren't I had to see an eyed eye, like my
mom never talked ill about my dad, but like said,
(55:40):
my dad would talk about Then I'm looking at you crazy.
You get what I'm saying, because it's like you don't
you kind of if you don't have the emotional intelligence
to be like, hey, this is my kid and we
are all in the same team, then you're like wanting
your kid to pick sides the problem.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
Wait, wait, wait do you know what we do that?
Speaker 2 (55:57):
Unfortunately, and I expecien sit with a former partner, which
I was like, well, why are you making this a thing? Unfortunately,
the emotional intelligence, even of adults is we need a
good cop bad cop.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Almost doing what we see on TV?
Speaker 2 (56:13):
Right, And I remember daring see the thing is there
had to be a conversation like wait, why are you
having cop like she made herself the good cop and
immediately put me as the bad cop, and it was
amongst our team, and I was like, well, that's not
fair when I'm trying.
Speaker 6 (56:30):
To lead team. Was the y'all, kid, we have to
be a team.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
And my point is, so now you're creating the dynamic
where you're this safety net for me when no, I
need them to know that they don't get to come
and complain about you.
Speaker 1 (56:45):
They're fucking up. I don't want them to fuck up anymore.
Otherwise I have to fire again and then I have
to rehire. Like good cop, bad cop is not a.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
Thing that actually works in a team setting at all,
So then I guess I am agreeing with you. But
the problem is is that we feel like someone has
to be the good cop and someone has to be
the bad cop in order for something to work. And
we get that again from television and movies where you'll
see you'll see the bad cop.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
Come in, slam on the table and then the other
one come as the.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
Partner and write up a cigarette.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
You know what I mean, Like you need something to drink,
let me talk to you real quick. And unfortunately that's
the thing that people think works, and good cop bad
coop does not work.
Speaker 1 (57:26):
It just doesn't.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Maybe maybe in prison, maybe in jail to get someone
to admit to something, but in terms of raising kids
or building.
Speaker 1 (57:33):
A team out, the good cop back cop is Well.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
Here's the other thing though, that that doesn't work.
Speaker 4 (57:38):
Sometimes sometimes this shit doesn't work, and people don't want
to talk about that. Like I'm not again, I'm not
saying that this is abuse from the running part of it.
Why it's two am debatable, but fine, whatever, it's two am.
But people think that the only way to learn discipline
or about consequences is through some spe shit.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
Like this, and like, I don't think that's the case.
Speaker 4 (58:03):
I think there's plenty of people who never had to
run it to a m or run suicides, who are
disciplined because they were taught discipline. They were taught to
rewards of discipline as opposed to the penalties of not
being disciplined.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
You got to know your kid. Every person isn't the same,
but people learn.
Speaker 1 (58:19):
In different ways.
Speaker 6 (58:22):
Like heavy, this sounds like this was the final show.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
This is the final shot.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
That's what we're assuming.
Speaker 6 (58:27):
That was like, well, you haven't been listening, you haven't
been consequences.
Speaker 3 (58:33):
He said that in the video. But also to the problem,
this is one video.
Speaker 5 (58:39):
He's a father, Yeah, we us cannot view him or
that did not damn dynamic based on this, clearly he's
doing something. Yes we should's and that's why I started
with that.
Speaker 4 (58:54):
But putting out the video was totally unnecessary. It serves nothing.
But here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (58:58):
We've been saying this thing for the last decade about
people doing this ship that's just part of the practice.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Now we just have to problem what I will say.
Speaker 3 (59:06):
Maybe that's I don't know, if it's ignorant.
Speaker 5 (59:09):
Take Maybe other parents who need to implement something that
course correct. This child may see this and inspire them
to take a different approach rather than what we would
do him as an abuse. Maybe this is something that
he could see. You know what, maybe I should do
things a little different, not two am, but maybe I
should implement some type of physical activity versus me pulling
out a belt or me doing something that's gonna make
(59:30):
them do all of this shit. That's the only positive
thing I could think of as far.
Speaker 2 (59:34):
As in this case, right, you're not in fear of
your parents, You're in fear.
Speaker 3 (59:37):
Of the run.
Speaker 5 (59:39):
Like, oh yeah, he's gonna give a fuck about that
camera and he's like, damn, I'm outside two in the morning.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
I won't do that shit again.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
But it probably is now, because let's be very clear,
he got cracked on when he went to school.
Speaker 4 (59:48):
Well, also, I think I would think that Brandon Wasshall
took that video and showed his son.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
It's like, look at you, nigga, like they laugh at it,
and hopefully.
Speaker 6 (59:55):
Him put it on social media. He's not necessarily protecting him.
He actually is embarrassed.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
He's embarrassing.
Speaker 6 (01:00:01):
Yeah, and I think that is I know he meant well.
I think if you would have done this without that
Cameron put in on social media, it would have gone
across way better because now he's embarrassed, he's probably talking.
Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
You know, though we used to be embarrassed too.
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
I remember we went to Walgreens I'll never forget it,
and my sister thought she was going to steal some
candy towards him. My sister thought she was going to
steal some candy. This is clearly before cell phones and.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
The social media realm existed.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
There was a level of embarrassment of my mom sending
her back into the fucking store and telling the store clerk, look.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
What I did. Sure, I tried to take this.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
And so it's weird because there was a level of
embarrassment We endured in certain ways too when abuse, when
physical abuse wasn't attached to punishment, we got embarrassed and
had to do things too. Maybe not on the scale
of a hundred million people being able to.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
See it, but there was always a damn as a child.
I'm embarrassed that I got to go into held this
other adult.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
I just I violated them to steal from. Yes, and so.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Embarrassment on a scale to me also has been a part.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Of or a form of humility, humiliation.
Speaker 6 (01:01:15):
This is social media, but it didn't exist. No, No,
I agree with you, but this is just different times
like this.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Humiliation, embarrassment, we're essentially always a part of punishment. This is, yes,
at the larger scale, but it's two things that were
a part of punishment back in the day too.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
Yeah, but I just I got beat in front of
the class. I got in front of a bunch of us.
We ain't do our homework.
Speaker 5 (01:01:38):
We the substitute came and we took that at the moment,
but MANU that homework. The principal knew that we had homework.
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
So when they came in with at homework and he
was a former football player, right like, he got a
Super Bowl ring, big nigga, and he pulled out that
that the yardstick.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
It was a private school.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
This was in America, Yes, it's in Brooklyn. You was
getting booked over the yards.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
What what? What? What?
Speaker 4 (01:02:02):
What's the couple the Kadems they went to the same school.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
They'll tell you, Yo, they pull out the ship in
front of the put your hand on the board.
Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
Had to put our hands on the board in front.
Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Of the back back and every time you put your hand,
that's one more you try to like block forms home.
Speaker 6 (01:02:20):
Now if they're able to discipline, they still they do.
But your parents.
Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
My mother was like, yes, yeah, the parents.
Speaker 6 (01:02:33):
Different times formed out in Florida. From what I've seen now.
Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
That school, I will say, the school I went to,
they they stopped doing it because the parents got younger.
Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
So they was like, ain't no way, right right, you're
not beating my kid. I'm suing you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
So then it was like, well and then my teacher
my check.
Speaker 5 (01:02:54):
For the most part, my teacher was Caribbean, so they
came from that type of ship.
Speaker 7 (01:02:57):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
That was the point I was going to do, is
that like all of that ship is all poisonous, and
people just accepted it because they thought that that's just
how he was raised and like that's not an excuse.
Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
But it's it's but it became from something. I want
to say it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
It came from a beauty was a form of getting
ship in line, quicker, quicker than talking.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
I ain't gonna tell you no more. I mean that's
what slave master has said too. That's what I'm saying that, Like.
Speaker 4 (01:03:22):
That doesn't make it cool, that doesn't make it right.
There's no excuse for it, and like there.
Speaker 5 (01:03:26):
Couldn't be that it is a form of effectiveness stuff
to a degree, do we do we not?
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
Did the slaves not revolt? Did we not earn our freedom?
Did we not fight against the niggas who was doing
that ship to us?
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Like, this shouldn't work? So what's the what the what's
the right way? Then?
Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
No, I'm not saying that there should There should be
consequences when you misbehave. That is that has to That's
just part of life. And if you grow up to
be a person, you live in his life. If you
do something wrong, there's a consequence for that. But I
just think that there has to be thoughtfulness behind the consequence.
And when it comes to this type of thing, this
(01:04:01):
doesn't serve anybody but Brandon Marshall, Like this is almost
some patriarchal like MANI spere shit almost like it's teetering
on that line really, because what this is saying is
for you to discipline your son. Fine, you're a parent,
do what you're gonna do, you know, sort of abuse.
Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
But this is on some like Yeah, this is what
This is how you raise a real man. This is
how you raise a warrior.
Speaker 4 (01:04:23):
I'm teaching you to be a warrior and all that
shit like that is a different level of programming. That's
not just about you did this wrong. You violated this rule.
I told you numerous signs, So now this is the
punishment that you're getting.
Speaker 9 (01:04:36):
It.
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
Putting it online for all of us to see is
for Brandon Marshall, not for that kid.
Speaker 5 (01:04:42):
So just not to switch gears. But do you think
that Dwayne Wade should have did it to his son?
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Well, look, I was about to wrap this shit up
for you're the thing Dwayn Wade Sun was arrested for
domestic violence last week.
Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
For me, this is tricky because I think this son has.
Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
Grown right, but maybe he didn't have the foundational run.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
He didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
I mean to me, it's not even that at him.
Well no, no, no, no, him being grown look at their situation.
We know that Dwayne Wade removed them from the home,
left a mama homeless, remarried with with uh Gabrielle Union.
He has a sibling that is now is she and
(01:05:25):
I think that there's been a lot of attention paid
to what what I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
The other sibling has gotten way more intention.
Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
You just what did I do? Nothing? Continue, what did
I do? I'm just I'm giving your flowers Zaya.
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Za Zaia Wade.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
No, no, no, this is this is the son that didn't
get a lot of attention because all the attention went
to the sibling that was transitioning.
Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Yeah, what I'm saying is so I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
I don't know what discipline it was here.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
I do know that their mama was on the street
saying that Dwayne Wade left their mama homeless and that
one all on the internet. I know that Dwayn Wade
had another baby outside of Gabrielle Union, so they dealt
with that.
Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
I think that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Dwayne Wade, in his fatherhood and family dealings, there's been
some tumultuous things in his childhood. Unfortunately that him being
arrested for felony domestic violence, criminal thrusts, and false imprisonent,
which means he was keeping her in the house.
Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
Not surprising. Wait wait, wait, wait, I just what talk
to me?
Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
So wait, we're saying that Dwayne Wade's divorce and transchild
and attention towards the transchild is.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Why I didn't say it's why. No. Part of this
person I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
Is this, This could be, this could be a factor
and whatever he deems his traumatic upbringing to be. So
his question was, do you think Dwayne Wade didn't punish him? Right,
I'm saying, I can't tell you what punishment was happening.
We know that Dwayne Wade had about a twenty year
NBA career where he wasn't home a lot. We do
(01:07:16):
know that there was a trouble between him and the
ex wife. We know that all we've ever seen was
the love and affection to the other sibling.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
All I'm saying is I could see him being a
troubled young man.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
And so no, I don't think he got disciplined. I
don't think he was taught right or wrong with the
treatment of women.
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
And so him being.
Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Arrested for domestic violence doesn't surprise me. I don't think
he was taught how to treat a woman at all.
Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
I mean, I don't know any of that. I do
know that this is a grown ass man.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Yeah, he grown.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
And if I.
Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
Don't know what the level, I don't know what the
specific domestic violence accusation is, like did he put his
hands on somebody?
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
And it's a fifty thousand dollars bond with a protective order,
so there's also clearly it's clearly proof as well.
Speaker 4 (01:08:13):
Yeah, you know, I think there's something there. I'm not
this this is a statement about whether he did it
or not. I'm just saying that, like you're a grown person.
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
So like, yeah, look at that response Dwayne Wade said,
all my all my kids have disappointed me.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Is that did he go go back? Go back, go back,
go back? Look at that first thing?
Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Is that what let's see let's see where the platform
is first though of what is I don't know. You
gotta verify that. Yeah that sounds pop up.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Wait can we see where he might have said that?
Speaker 6 (01:08:46):
Look, if it's Twitter, they're cooked, play it.
Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Right.
Speaker 7 (01:09:00):
So six two big day for me, celebratory day for
me and also my teammates Tonami he he won two
championships out about three on this date. So this is
how I celebrate myself. I come out here in the
morning and I go about myself.
Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Let me see this video has anything to do.
Speaker 7 (01:09:17):
I've engulfed in over two and a half weeks, and
so the challenge to come out here and not try
to be perfect.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
No, you're not going to make every shot, but how
do you work through it?
Speaker 7 (01:09:27):
How do you work through it so you get that
rhythm till you get that flow and you start playing better.
So I got a caddy right now, just me and
him out here. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful day in La.
Happy anniversary. Congratulations quick.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
That's why I do. It's funny, I said.
Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
The tone seems wrong for what the Times of transitioning.
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
Given that they didn't they read the caption and didn't
listen to the video.
Speaker 6 (01:09:53):
No. Sometimes sometimes on X they'll say.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
That's something you clicked on that from the Times Indian.
What I'm saying is Times India ran with the caption down.
Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
Yeah, so the Times India is.
Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Can you go back and see if there's a bullshit?
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
Bullshit?
Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
Can you go and see like, no, go back, get
out of this click back.
Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Oh but look and then his son saying he is
a good father. Oh no, same same time, simmermind.
Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
Yeah, like open it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
I can't see none of this ship. Make it bigger.
He's twenty four.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
By the way, Yes, So what I'm saying, oh, this is
a grown person.
Speaker 4 (01:10:29):
Like whatever, whatever the charge is against you, you know
you're not supposed to do that. Like you know that
you you violated someone in whatever way, and it leted
you being arrested for domestic violence. Now, yeah, we're all
a product of our upbringing, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
But like, but it's the same thing I was saying about, uh,
(01:10:52):
Brandon Marshall, Like, is this is this a is this
a statement unless you Is this a statement on your parent?
Speaker 3 (01:11:00):
Or is this a.
Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
Statement of just you being a dickhead? Like domestic violence.
I don't know that anyone's getting any type of coverage
for domestic violence for how you grew up.
Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Everybody grows up in a certain kind of way. Doesn't
mean you put your hands And the.
Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
Only person I do know that was a part of
Chris Brown's story. He saw it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
He saw like a lot of people who a lot
of men who lay hands on women. Unfortunately, a lot
of them were in environments where that's how they saw
men behaving.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Oh yeah, whether their mom's stayed or les.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
Yeah, a lot of domestic violence abuse is a learned behavior.
Sure it is, whether you have seen it, whether you've
seen your friends do it, whether you've seen women take
it on. And then unfortunately, as women, there is a
terrible example that if a man hurts you, he loves you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
There's a toxic.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
With that concept, romantic of well, he loves me, and
I infuriated so much because he loves me so much,
and you know he won't do it again.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
He promised me he loves me.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
That's what made him because I heard him like so,
there's unhealthy relationships between domestic violence and unfortunately, and again
we've never heard of.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
That being the case for Dwayne Wade, but.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
Leaving the mother of your children homeless begging for money
shows that there was some sort of simultra and I'm
not saying there was any sort of physical violence, but unfortunately,
I do feel like this.
Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
Is a learned behavior for a lot of men.
Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
Well, this is a void of a foundation of principles
that these kids can go off of as they mature
and as they mature and age and they deal with
you know, their partner, the girlfriend, boyfriend, whatever the case
may be. If they don't have that foundation, that principle
of how to deal with interact with them, or if
they see some type of aggression and know how to
(01:13:04):
fall back, then these are the things that's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
It could be your way.
Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
Maybe they have that found they didn't have that foundation.
Possibly That's why.
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
I do believe therapy is needed every Yes, early.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Don't think you gotta wait till you thirty or forty
to start therapy early.
Speaker 5 (01:13:19):
I think every family, if you're starting out a family,
you should have a therapist.
Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
I agree, just like a doctor.
Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
I agree. Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
Well this was fun, yes, yes, yes, not very well
at the beginning of it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
You know, this could never be a regular episode. This
was very blood up.

Because that's your favorite song.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):

favorite song.
Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
