Y'all already know some of the topics we're talking about
that we didn't get to get to on Tuesday with Antnet.
(00:23):
But my guy A King is here as a person
who got to a tym Fanatics. We didn't get to

Yeah, a little Monday kickback.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
You know what I'm saying, I'm here for and I'm
here for it. Well, uh A King Philliston, there was
so much all over my timeline this week This weekend
was all the things in New York City. I mean, yes,
y'all were underwater, but.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
People were for five minutes, for five minutes, but.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
People were also at this Fanatics, the forty forty pop up.
We'll get to Tom Brady, Logan, Paul, what did you do.
How was it? This is I will say this is
one of those events that I genuinely feel fomo from
every year and I don't understand how I haven't made
this a part of like my tenerary.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Well, I will say, you have time now, ok.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
This Yeah, my first time going, and it was it
was it was an experience obviously, you know we go
to do these things. It's it's the enjoyment of it,
but it's also connecting dots and shaking hands and you know,
see where the tables are at.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
But you know it was dope, man, it was dope.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
The New York the world champion New York Knicks was
in told you had They did the Roommates podcast.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
And they all did like separate interviews.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
And which one of the rumors, Oh that's the one with.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
And Josh hart yep car at Towns. He did his
pop meet and greet and they all did their thing
on Saturday. They had like they want their live show
type of thing. Spike Lee had to sit down with
Ryan Clark, okay, and toward the end he brought out
uh uh weal Clyde Fraser, Allen Houston. They presented him
(02:17):
with the in case basketball with all the signatures.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
That's the chance.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Man. It was dope. Saw some of our peers and
friends in the building. I didn't see. I didn't go
to the Sunday the last day, but I saw. I
got a notification that said that Travis Scott performed Lil
Wayne was there.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
That was on Sunday. Sunday the shorter day. That's like the.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Walk, so it's a whole weekend. Thursday Sunday were like,
uh convention at the Jacob Jabason.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
And it's activation.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Activations on activations, on activations, on corporate cast getting. I
mean they had some of the sponsors was a Dix.
Uh oh, let's talk about TARJ so boom hold, I
did something that I wrestled with. This wrestled with across
(03:17):
the picket line across. But so look, so I'm pulling
up and I see all these people with these bags.
I'm like, oh, ship, what's that? So it's off white bag,
Duffel bag, okay, and they had red straps. I should
have bought there, you go, I should have bought, my mind,
because yes I had one. It's a Duffle bag. I
didn't pay for it. But anyway, so I'm looking and
(03:39):
I'm like, oh ship. What So it's a Fanatics fest. Uh,
Fanatics and Target collaboration. Right the baggage dope, everybody had
this fucking dufblel bag. So the first thing, the first
thing I do when I will get in there, I'm like,
with they said they give them out, at least it
looked like that. So they had Target had an installation
(03:59):
there and Uh what it was is you had to
buy Well you didn't have to, but they they they
wanted you to buy like the exclusive New York Giants,
New York Jets merchant and then they give you the bag.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
So here's what I did. So I went up there.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Coincidentally, one of the coordinators I know her. I didn't
see him a while. That's no disrespect to the Giants
and Jets, but I'm like, yo, what's up with She's
all here? She was going to locker and give me one.
But my next thought was are they gonna shame me?
And walking around New York City with this ship? What
does it say? On the straps? So yes, off white.
(04:36):
It has the red straps and the handles of red,
but on the straps had the Fanatics logo with the
Target logo. So so that's that's.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Profound that because it looked like a bulls eye archery niggah.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
And it's red on the barrel. On the barrel of
the Duffel bag, it just had the Fanatics logo and
the Target logo in red. Let it be known. When
I walked through the airport, I think people was with
the bag. Some of the I was reading, like you
a nigga, do you care? Yeah? Are you shaming me?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Behind?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
You know, someone looked at you weird? You just look
at it. You got it for free reparations.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
And that's what I had to really, I had the
Target for free free. They had to get this to me. Look,
that's nobody's who cares. Right at the end of the day.
It's a bag that stores shipped, nigga. I didn't have
to buy this ship right right?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Okay? Some of the people would you Okay, I get
what you're saying. It's a bag that stor ship. It's
but would you have a bag that looks super fly
but had a SWASTI call it?
Speaker 2 (05:39):
No Jesus right, So you can say on yourself, Target
that nigga said, mind come or or daily roll d Yeah,
my god, damn right, ship, that's crazy. I mean, okay,
but look it's a dope bag I walked viciously with
(06:01):
in the airport. But man, who who was some I
met Terrens Cowford, Uh, world champion boxer Megabu. You know what.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
He about to give the bum ball?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
I took a picture with him, right, I don't like
I don't like asking people pictures.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
But some people is like, all right, exception to the rule.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Like what, I forgot the picture.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
I have to do it to do it, but I
have forgot some people like that. I got he was at
the White House for the thing, and I didn't post it. Well,
probably by the time the bonus come out to be posted.
But I'm like, yeah, he's a world champion, he's a championship.
Get that. We don't know, we don't know what they
are doing. I'm calling him. I don't know if he's mad.
(06:42):
We don't know if he's mad. I know he's he
is willing to take a picture with Trump. Well, he
was there, he attended, They invited him to come to
the thing that they had, and that's that's that.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Everybody had a relationship his picture with this.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Man because he's a he's a he's a championship boxer
before for all of.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
That, He's definitely going to the White House getting a
picture of Trump.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
You're not gonna tell me you I'm not do not
make these narcisay some America.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
And you posted it because if you know this nigga
was just at the White House.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Doing a little acknowledging them for his sports accomplishments. I
don't know. Never ask him what his political stance was
or anything he had. He had his kids with him,
you know what I mean. That's not the appropriate time
in place to ask, And I would never ask for
any public anyway.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Why you gotta post it? Can you do your research?
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Because he is a championship boxer and Trump.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Is the president of the United States of America.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Well, listen, here's the thing about it. We talked about
this a little bit. We talked about a little bit
last week with Antoinette. But it's like ant like none
of this when you take up when you so the
thing we were talking about was the toast of Linux drama. Oh,
I don't know if you can saw any of that.
Well I saw the Good Brother Motown. Yeah, and he
(08:04):
even said, Yo, I'm getting off to social media because
y'all don't listen. You know, he blew it the whole thing. Yeah, motown,
blew it up if you want to. But the question
was was like is people in the comments were arguing
about a photo, like is a photo an endorsement? Like
if you take a picture with somebody who stand next
to someone and take a photo with them, does that
(08:25):
mean that you endorse and support everything they do? And
what is the distinction between you don't support everything they
say and do, but you respect them for this thing?
And then my example would be like jay Z. Like
people feel their ways about Jay nowadays. I feel ways
about things he's done, but I still respect Jay and
(08:46):
I still love his music. I would take a picture
with him. And if niggas was mad.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
You can't compare jay Z to this political landscape where
we're taking pictures with him. But even that, would you
have would you have lunch with a Nazi? Would you
have lunch with someone?
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Her response?
Speaker 3 (09:08):
See her response, Yes, I did like her response.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
So she's just saying, Hey, well, I thought I read
it as in order for us to make change, we
got to sit at the table with these people.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Can we can we try to find it.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
I don't know if can.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
We read the actual response though I feel like it
was Yeah, let's read the actual response because I don't
think it was even given that.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, I feel like they needed they needed a PR. Yeah,
there was no PR person involved in that response at all.
So here's what it says. It's a graphic. The graphic says, wait, wait, wait.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Can we remind people. For anyone who hasn't tuned into
Tuesday's episode, Karen Atlanta, we are also getting ready for
the midterms. But we have clearly Keisha Lance Bottoms, who
is a black woman running former mayor, and she is
clearly running against right white white Republicans.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
But yes, so Rick Jackson is the primary Republican opponent. Yes,
Rick Jackson admittedly like openly calls himself Trump two point zero.
Rick Jackson has an ad going around right now talking
about anti immigration. The ad says deported or departed Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
(10:25):
The part is crazy, crazy and it's right, and it's so.
The woman who owns Toastal Linux had a meeting with
Rick Jackson, sat down. There were pictures of the actual
meeting itself. There was also another picture of them all together,
not hugged up in that kind of romantic way, side
by side, very close. Is it all teeth? Big teeth,
big teeth. So it was like, oh, this is my god.
(10:48):
So y'all had a conversation. Y'all took this picture. People
were outraged about it.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Calling for a boycott of for black people.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yes, to boycott.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
About the threads Get the woman? Yeah, I forget the
woman's name, but the threads toast that was the most viral.
The woman. The opening sentence of the post says Toast
that Linux is now closed. Yeah, not like clothes, like
they're out of business, like like we're closing Toast.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
On Linux like we're not We're not going.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
We're not going there no more there.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I've never been there accent.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
And I love that ship. Yeah. People they gotta snapple
so good.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah everyone, they still got it.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Well, he said that.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I just caught up from them last week.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
I was still order because they're like, you read what
you say? I said a post that I thought was
really interesting.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
About she actually did her own threads to own posts
on her stories. Okay, so the graphic from the official
Toast on Linux Instagram page says Toast on Linux does
not endorse Rick Jackson. We did not do a campaign,
nor are we affiliated with Rick Jackson. Thank you for
your supporter understanding. The caption itself says good evening toastal
(12:03):
Linox family. We want to address a recent social media
post has garnered uh has generated conversation and concern. Recently,
a political candidate visited toastal Linux as a guest. Like
many other business owners, we often take photos with customers,
public figures, entertainers, athletes who visit our restaurant. The photo
was shared Sylvia has a picture taken during his visit
to our establishment, and then it goes on to all
(12:26):
the caveats. This statement does not endorse him. We've been
a place welcome for all people, black entrepreneurs. We work
to build this business and service the community. We understand
why people are upset. Blah blah blah blah blah Tomorrow
signed Tomorrow Young and Virgil Harper, which are which is
a couple of the owners, the owners and the head chef.
(12:48):
And again people were debating about whether or not a
photo is an endorsement of person's ideas, politics, whatever the
case is.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
And I think people were being not even just a
photo as much as it's the big smile. No, it's
you posted it and you posted right, well, it's post
it was.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
It was I don't know if it was posted by them,
but it was posted on the internet. You took the
picture knowing that it was going out to the public,
and so people were saying, well, if you take a
picture with a celebrity, and people do this all the time,
this is not a celebrity. And this is part of
the problem is because people look at politicians like their celebrities.
It's not celebrities. These are our employees. If you're a politician,
(13:33):
a public servant, you work for us. That's how that goes.
These aren't your friends and your buddies. You're supposed to
look at these people like there are your employees, and
you need to do what we voted for you to do.
But that was that aspect of people trying to separate
or you can take a picture with someone and not
support them.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Well, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Someone
that I follow, what a really interesting dissection of what's
happening here. And after we get to this, I want
to get back to fanatics. We've got Tom Brady and
Jake Paul Logan. Paul wanted them Paul niggas to talk about.
But this is the caption, and I'm curious your thoughts.
(14:15):
Canceling who because canceling Toson Lennux is canceling us. It's
canceling black jobs, black creatives, black entrepreneurs, black servers, bartenders, chefs,
host managers, vendors, and the families that depend on that business.
You can debate statements in PR all day. I'm talking
(14:35):
about what I've actually seen, and we stand behind Chef
Harper and Tamera. If you want to get your catfish
and grits somewhere else, that's your choice. If you want
your chicken and waffle somewhere else, that's your choice too.
But nobody is canceling anything. I watched them pour into
their community after hours, when the cameras were off. I
watched them create opportunities, mentor creatives, hire our community, and
(14:58):
open their doors so people try to build something that's
the toastal linux. I know. Here's the lesson every black
business owner should take from this, And this is where
I'm curious, y'alls thoughts. Hospitality should not require you to
become an investigative journalist. A private investigator or a paralegal.
Every time someone walks through your doors. You shouldn't have
(15:20):
to research every guest, every handshake, every conversation, or every
photo before simply extending hospitality. But unfortunately, this is where
we are. Black businesses are being targeted. Political figures know
exactly what they're doing when they use our spaces, our businesses,
and our communities as backdrops. Then the photo gets posted,
(15:43):
the narrative gets created, and the business owner is left
carrying the consequences. So let this be a lesson for
every black owned restaurant, barbershop, boutique, salon, coffee shop, venu
and small business. Protect yourselves, ask questions, be intentional, use discernment,
And to every black business owner watching this, just be careful,
(16:05):
not because you've done anything wrong, but because you are
being watched and sometimes your business is being used as
a backdrop for someone else's agenda and you're the one
dealing with the fallout.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
I agree with most of that.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
What do you disagree with?
Speaker 2 (16:22):
The part that I think is complete bullshit? And the
part that people try to hype up is that this
part about oh, it doesn't require you to be an
investigative journalist and woo woo woo woop. Listen, if you're
taking a picture with a celebrity, a ballplayer or whatever,
it doesn't matter. These people don't have any power. These
are just celebrities. If you're going to meet with a politician,
(16:43):
you need to know what that politician is about. If
you want to have the meeting, that's fine. I don't
care about the meeting. You don't get up there and
smile and keep key with somebody if you don't know
as a politician, if you don't know what they're about
and what they stand you.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
But here's the reality. Even though Atlanta is blue, Georgia
is red. Sure we and when I say we as
the community of the people who aren't aware, I would
say being even in the South, the conservative views are loud.
There are there is a large population of black Southern
(17:25):
Americans that are red, that are Republicans. Republican not maga,
there is, there's gonna be and maybe both. I mean
him referring to himself as Trump two point zero leans
more maga. But to be fair, and it's the conversation
I'm having now being on the radio station. Who are
(17:46):
good friend? Ike has been calling I've been calling the
fire three for having a conservative running on B one
O three as a black hip hop station in Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Oh, the FCC mandates that kind of both sides be heard,
and we are in a red state. Bro hip hop
isn't just democratic. Look at fucking Nelly, Look at all
these roppers aligning themselves. We got damn Trump. Like this
idea that Democrat means black and Republican means white is
not the case, especially in the Bible Belt. It's just not.
(18:21):
And so if we want to continue to support black
owned businesses, black entrepreneurs, unfortunately, this is where we have
to decide what a boycott looks like and what makes
sense in terms of continually the growth of black excellence.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
I think transparency is what is needed here.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Even if they put out that statement, that's fine, But
what was he there for? Was he just a patron
or what they have in a conversation about potentially supporting
what I would think that if that's the case, then
if I'm in her shoes or his shoes, I would say, hey, well,
what are you going to? Why do you want our support?
What do you think this community can land to you?
(19:01):
That's if those conversations that happened. We should be aware
of it, not just not just hey, we don't support
but that's cool, but what is here? You chose to
put it out, You chose to let us in that optic,
So why not let us know the context of the optic.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
By the way, I do want to shout out that
was a post from to Pinga. She's a listener of
the show, but I want to I do want to
be sure I shot her.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
I know, listen, I forgive you. Y'all are such Penga Hall.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
She is a listener. She she uh talks about a
lot of the things that really likes her take on that.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Here's my other issue because she seems to acknowledge it,
but she wants to give them grace because if you're saying,
if you're going to say all of that and make
it as if because the tone of that sounds like
y'all niggas a tripping she didn't do nothing wrong, and
then come back and say, well, black businesses, protect yourself
(20:14):
and watch out because maybe you're being used. No shit, Sherlock.
That's the point that everybody is making this man. Rick
Jackson went in there to use you. The meeting is fine.
Anyone can meet with anybody. Because Killer Mike caught flat
for meeting with Brian Kimp for the same thing. They
took a photo together. Meet with anybody. Why does it
(20:35):
need to be a photo Why does it need to
be a photo op. That's the only reason they would
do that is to use you. And if they're using
you for either a to promote their Republican agenda to say, hey,
the Niggers like me too, it's okay, or if they're
using it because they know that we are going to
have a problem with that and that is going to
bring attention to Rick Jackson and sink your business, which
(20:57):
which his constituents might like, then yeah, you're being used,
and you're willfully being used. And not to cast too
much dispersions on them. You have to be smarter about
these things. Politics is not just there's underlying things going
on here. You can't just look at it as, oh,
this is just a meeting with Rick Jackson. No, this
(21:19):
specific reason why he's coming to you. Because let's be clear,
Toast is a black owned restaurant that I would say
ninety nine ninety five percent of their customers are black.
It ain't a bunch of maggots going in toast on
Linux to get fishing grits. So we know who you're
talking to when you go in there. So the whole
(21:40):
idea that protect yourself because you might be being used. Yeah,
you're being used and you didn't do the due diligence
to stop it.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Well are they being used that they have? Because conservatives.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
But then when you come out and say we don't
support this, we don't endorse transparent, That's what I want
to know.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
And that's the other thing.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
That's a business.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
So the owner doesn't represent everyone that works here either.
So I think that as a business you can't just
say yeah, we we support X y Z elemental people
because your workers, your chefs, the people under you may not.
And so that's where the business can separate themselves from
maybe the alignment that camera because mine you too, they
(22:27):
did do deep done the chef Harper Harper follows.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
You know what I'm about to say.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
It sounds like only reason why I'm coming up with
this is because they brought us to the fucking like
maybe their husband and wife stand them right, Yeah yeah,
I was like, maybe one of them have a more
conservative view and say yeah, take that meeting.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Take it.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Oh, that wouldn't surprise me at all. But you can't.
This is my problem with people though this general era.
Don't be fucking surprised. We don't a surprised to make nigga.
If you don't, you're gonna still support it if you well,
(23:12):
but but that's the problem.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Yeah, but it's a whole fishious.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
So and that's the thing. Everybody loves their food. That's
why people are so upset about this. As people love
the food there. People want to support your black business.
People have been supporting your black business for years. The
year been open. So that's not the supporting black business part,
isn't the issue. The issue is is are you for
the community or are you not? And whether you like
(23:40):
it or not, if you are deemed to be not
to be anti the community, then there's people are gonna
have a problem with that.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
And whether jih you like it or not. The community,
especially in the Bible Belt, is split, and there are
more conservatives then there are democrats.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
I don't believe that no community. I think there are
no community is not a model.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
There is not a.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Modelig but I don't know that there's more.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
But I always say that on and I only say
that because we saw the split in our conversations when
Kamala was running. Yeah, but so if Keisha lance Bottoms
was Kevin Lance Bottoms, I do think that we would
maybe be more aligned. But there are still a lot
of people within our community that I don't think sees
a black woman having a certain level of a position.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Maybe not, and I don't disagree with that. But also,
like Kamala Harris got with eighty nine percent of black
men's vote in ninety four percent of Black women's vote,
like niggas do support the blue candidate, Let's just keep
it clear about what it is. If a vast, vast,
vast majority of Black people support the blue candidate, whoever
(24:54):
it is.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Hot take.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Maybe you have the conservative black who are women and
men of a certain age most like older conservative Republican.
They have the new Nigga that's not conservative Republican but
full blown maga. That's that's the modern time. There's a
(25:17):
difference between conservativism and conservatism that's whatever and mega in
all difference culturally, culturally, and politically. And a lot of
the conservatives come from nigga just want the chill fuck
out and they patriotic because they probably went to the military.
They believe in respectability. They believe in that we're we're
(25:38):
supposed to. They can't curse in their car. That type
of person, heal that type of person. I'm not in
my line.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
No, that's what I'm before.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
You know. What I'm saying is that there's always been
black people that have a conservative respectability, this is how
we're supposed to act type of ethos to them. They
believe in that thing.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Right.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I don't think black people are monoless at all, but
you should not be surprised that niggas don't fuck with
somebody like Rick Jackson. And if you take your teeth,
if you take a picture showing all your teeth, then yeah,
you should expect people to look at you funny. And
I just it's disingenuous to me for them to act
(26:24):
like they don't know that. You either listen, I want
to give you I'm not I don't want to call
you stupid, so I want to think I want to
say that you didn't. You've been missed up. You didn't
realize that. But you're either in on it or you're
too dumb to know the difference, So they put out
that so that that statement they put out could be
a farce.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
It could be that damage.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Yeah, it could.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Atlanta hasn't had a black male. I had a white
mayor in sixty five years. Oh yeah, that's the thing too.
You're trying to go in the same way that mom
Donnie can maybe only exist in somewhere like New York York.
This is a black ass city. And regardless of the
(27:09):
gentrification of all the other ship that happens, black people
represent Atlanta. The wills and desires of black people represent
the city of Atlanta. And that ain't magic. That ain't
deported or departed, that that ain't none of that ship
that he's talking about.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Because I need you for hardway to steak.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
I need them niggas to be there. I need the
god damn spotted yao all they don't deport depart people
because you don't know where the burials the god damn like,
I need all of that ship to your husband. To
(27:49):
your husband, get a survey before we go to our
favorite restaurants and ask him they fill out the survey.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Depend anymore overall.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
But let's get back to fanatics before topics. Yes, fanatics fast,
you loved it. I did want to know were you
around here on the Tom Brady versus logan.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
You know what's funny. I was there in the beginning
part of it, and I left the go because fanatically,
it's Jacob Javison is so huge. It's like four different levels.
Is it downstairs? That's a downstairs, that's a downstairs, and
he had the main level. So you go and see
one thing, if you really really really tapped all the
way in, you stay. But then you just migrate somewhere else.
So that's why I did it. That was happening.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
So I went and I saw Shaquille O'Neil joint with
you know, it's a lot happening. So I saw it.
I took a couple of pictures of it, and I
kept moving.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Yo, maybe like an hour later, I'm opening my app
and I'm like, when the fuck like allow him to
get punched.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
But what was the conversation when you were there?
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:50):
What were why were they on stage? What was the conversation?
Speaker 2 (28:53):
They were just talking about the you know, the climbate
of the content piece and n if it was it
was a mosh posh conversation. Okay, Brady's contributions and even
the card stuff. So it was like, just open the
loose conversation.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Dude, did we find out what the disrespect was? I
never I'm at this point.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
No, I still haven't seen anything about what the actual
issue was. I thought it was.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
That's why I think it's performative.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
I thought it was. But why that's the problem. I
don't get the why would you do? Well? Hold on?
Why would you?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Can you play the club? I want to say. He
just walked away like it was no, no, no, no
carling the house.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Looked he looked like he looks but he might not
have been in on it. They might never told him
it was a screw or he was.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
I would take that.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Looks that was really it's around hell no you that
you wanted to rewind how Tom is doing his hand
like all right, so it might now the time there
might have been something something else coming down the pipeline.
You think this is like this could be the precursor. Yes,
I think Tom would I just want I just want
(30:09):
to get on it all. But I just want to
add one element that y'all may not be aware of
the fucking tequila. So an element that y'all may not
be aware of. So in the Fanatics Fest, they had
a you know w w E they have like the
when the wrestler goes down to the owl and everybody
like chairing and then then they go to the ring.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Well, they had a setup like that. People to go
there and take pictures.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
That's why you saw Tree young He had Jersey Jersey
failed attempt to try to because it was already but
he don't have no strength.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Yo that but to do that, New York is not know.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Look, oh yeah, but Tray is like he's gonna he
wants that, he wants that, he wants, he wants, he
wants whatever. But so so they had that set up
there with the w w E belt.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
But it's huge, right, so people take pictures.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Then they also had the m M A ring where
people could fight each other there. So okay, I think
Dana White with it. So I'm just thinking of maybe
something else they're doing some some some kind of performative.
Ship laid down the line and this was the precursor
to it.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Listen, even to this day, I don't know people are
suspecting it staged. There's no No one has came out
and said what the fun was being said that, yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Probably won't because they were probably they're just gibberishing. They
probably wasn't even really they wasn't miked up.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Come on, I'm saying, like a great actor.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Then he looked maybe maybe maybe the thing was for
him to be not for him to do that, like,
oh my gosh, maybe listen, let's give your idea. This
is one all right. So they had these type of things, right,
They had those logan Paul is a whore.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Log real quick, the clip I need you to give
it up because you be hating on niggas for no reason.
Hold on a king, why go ahead.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Give it to his fower. Because these fights he'd be
setting up, these are all fake fights. These are all
just money grabs. Like y'all gonna fight Floyd Mayweth, I'm
gonna fight Mike Tyson. This is all just money gras.
This is content. This is all content farming. So like
do it. Yeah, So like there's no good faith in
the Paul brothers, like this is all bullshit. Just to
(32:27):
make this moment right now so we can talk about it,
so we can go viral on social media. Tom Brady,
the go to the NFL slap Logan Paul, Like, first off,
Logan Paul could probably beat the brakes off of Tom Brady,
like because motherfucking jiu jitsu coach stole tom Brady's wife.
Tom Brady ain't no gangster. Tom Brady ain't no motherfucking
(32:47):
like Logan Paul, if he wanted to lay hands on
Tom Brady, it would probably be a wash. This is promo,
this is kay fabe, this is like ultimate marketing. And
who better for Logan Paul to get slapped by to
make this a huge incident then Tom Brady at the
fanatics fest, Like, I don't believe exactly. Yeah, what I'm saying,
(33:08):
I don't believe. The whole thing is don't believe, And truthfully,
I believe Cat is in on it, because why is
Cat there heating the panel? No, no, no, But I'm
talking about this moment right well, he had the center seat.
They probably were taking pictures because you know, that was
the thing they were doing after they've done with But
he's standing right there in the middle of two men.
(33:28):
It looks like having discourse, and that he kind of
inserts himself for us and then maybe that slap looking
look at his hand what I'm saying, it's not. Yes,
it's not what it's like wine back, wind back, No,
and Jake Park like that he's already ducking the just
do the have the slap like. You can't dunk a
(33:49):
slap from Tom Brady. You're a fighter, you can't dunk
a slap. But why so, what's okay? Somebody's what's your
next movie? Somebody some like you gonna get one man,
he's gonna get dogged the funk out. They're gonna stomp
a muddhole time. I'm gonna see you. I'm gonna see you.
I'm gonna see you the out of here. Okay, this
(34:12):
nigga Jake paul Is, I mean, look, what was it?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
The was it? Was it raw w E.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
They had the match with Jayleen Brunston and Roman Rings.
Yeah yeah versus.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Oh my gosh, so happy. Roman Rings is going through divorce.
He's so fine. Oh my god, that is one of them.
I saw that motherfucking divorce.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
I say, yeah from you in here yesterday. This is
her second white man that she's lested over. We're gonna
do this. We're not gonna do she lusted over season?
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Is it the season?
Speaker 6 (34:46):
No?
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Doubt.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
I like my Black Kings and my rock.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
She was lessing over John Barthal yesterday.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
He because he don't he look like my nigga, but
a white version.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
We ball with a beard and and big. Hey, yeah, Paul,
I don't know if you big. I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
I mean, I think John Birthrow is probably like how
was he probably like six one?
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Oh that's it in the movie he looks six pot.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Well, you know they got that down angle. They they
shoot you from down here. They make you look like big.
He looks big.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
He looked big. Nonetheless, I'm glad you had a good time.
We'll be at Fanatics slot next year.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
We Hey, listen, anybody out there listening at the Fanatics
fest Fanatics.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
Hello, you know what I'm saying. Please please please.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Reach out to us, reach out to Its not a
sports podcast, but but we fuck with sports hand every week.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I feel like if we go to Fanatics fast next year,
he got a Michael Rubin got to invite us to
the White Party. Oh I want the White Party and
shout out to forty forty that forty forty had some
some multi day situations. I feel like a two point
two seconds. Was gonna play myself and try to get
in that line. I was like, nah, let me do that.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Did y'all know there was a forty forty club in
the Alant airport?
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Ye did? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:56):
I saw what Yeah, terminal like b or C. But yeah,
it's very random. I don't understand Hope was there. I
didn't see Hope at there. Meek Mill was there, apparently
pop up.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Gold Couch moment happening.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
They had gold Couch. But I tell you, it was
so it was so crazy though all of this stuff
could be happening. You could be in a whole nother
wing watching shock. You have no idea, have no idea
that that thing is happening in that moment. So even
the map I had with all of the itinerary, bro
it was hard to michell and that's had a dope
active activation over there. Mass appeal they were. They had
(36:32):
the autograph cards of uh like nas and Ship. I
mean it seemed like, even though this is a sports event,
there's a lot of culture, hip hop, it's a lot
of culture at this thing. But what was what got
me those white people who's dad, Who's dad?
Speaker 3 (36:46):
And they had their kids take pictures with the Who's dad?
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Who's that? They can't take you know who? You don't
know who that is because it might be worth something,
but Jeff something Jada kiss with sen jadakissanger.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
We're not gonna do that. Jada gonna come on the
pod and I need all it when we go to
New York. I'm gonna ja Jada to come on the pod.
And I can't wait for y'all to see how we
do not sound alike.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
They just have.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
No way. The way niggas say I sound.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Like energy is like twenty times more than his though you.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Know what's crazy though, Nah, he'd be funny, like when
you get there, he's hilarious and he'd be so calm
next to like hype ass that joke like, but like
Jada Jadakis is funny, he can talk, so I feel
like with us, like Jaeda will give it up.
Speaker 7 (37:37):
No.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
I produced a segment, a digital segment for the Locks
when they came on Charlomagne's show Comedy Central and stoles
Peele didn't really want to do it, but Jada and
she was like, yeah, this so like and it was
just in the back room talking to sh Jada is hilarious,
like No, he's funny.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
I'm gonna tell him he gotta come on the pile.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
You know I would.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
We'll have a good time. Well, let's get into the
two topics we didn't get to on Tuesday, and they problematic.
Mind you, we did start talking about one of them
and it got a little spicy. But we'll start with
the Combs twins who are on a press run launching
their clothing line despite their father's high profile conviction. And
(38:24):
this is what dad will say.
Speaker 8 (38:28):
We'll know that this is the first time that people
are really hearing from you since everything that's happened with
your father. Is there any fear with putting yourselves out there?
Speaker 6 (38:37):
No, not at all, not at all, because people fail
to realize that, like, just because he's our dad doesn't
mean like his press is his own press.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
Our press is our own press.
Speaker 6 (38:46):
Our clothing line is our clothing line. It's not his
clothing line. Except like people fail to understand that we
are also individuals.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
But you know, there are gonna be people out there.
Speaker 8 (38:56):
They're gonna watch this and they're gonna say, why are
they doing this now?
Speaker 6 (38:59):
Like I've said, we want to have a clothing line
for many, many, many years. Now is the time because
we're becoming adults. We're actually have the time. We're nineteen
years old. Yes, we're not in high school anymore. We're
becoming young women.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
How is your relationship with your dad?
Speaker 2 (39:14):
It's great?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Good, Yes, it's great.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
We definitely are very close and he gives the best advice.
He's very very like knowledgeable in that aspect. We ask
him all the time, like can we need help on this?
Speaker 1 (39:24):
We need to help on that.
Speaker 6 (39:25):
Also, something that he like has always consistently said to us,
success won't be like Kennedy, you like you don't expect
you to go like this and success will come like
you have to put in the work. You have to
put in the time. That advice has really really shaped
us today because we put in so much work. He's
really really, really been helpful.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
You could have got that advice to you too.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
So these as daughters, yes they okay, that was.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Just why are they gonna go left? And they could
have got that play kiddle ass advice from.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
No matter what his transgressions are, that's still their father
and he probably had sound advice for them because he's
he has experienced in the space. They are absolutely not
wrong for to put out what they're supposed to Just
sit there and be fucking ducks.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
They're aspiring entrepreneurs for sure.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
I mean, here's what they can't be. The burden of
what he did.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Burden these nuts.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Here's my thing, and that's kim Porter's child too.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
Let's let's I'm aware, all right, God bless her soul
because she ain't here. But let's talk about it. They
are nineteen years old. Yeah, there is no way like
if my dad was a serial killer and affected the
lives that he affected, in no way despite the fact
(40:57):
that he my old daddy, would I feel the need
to praise him on a public platform.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
They praised him. Yes, yes, what did they say they
praised him?
Speaker 3 (41:06):
They just said that their dad gave them advice.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Relationship is great.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
The question the question was, do.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
You have a relationship with your dad?
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Yes, we're so cloth wellete, they're gonna ask.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
The only response they had to say was, well, that's
my dad.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
If they were twenty nine, yes, nineteen, this is their
first run.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
And they fucked it up. I'm not supporting their clothing line.
Why because at the end of the day, as women,
your father is in prison for crimes against women. So
what he wants to do your audience, who buys your
clothes is going to be women. I don't see how
at nineteen years old, with all the money I'm sure
(41:44):
you have from your daddy, that you don't have the
pr to where the two of you sat and before
your press run figured out how the fun the answered.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
How to answer these questions. Maybe they did, and to
me that's what they came up.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yes, guess what now you are to be getting my dollars.
Maybe at nineteen your life is gonna might be a
little rocky. Your dad's not supposed to get out for
some years. I feel like the same way we sit
on this podcast and talk about how when there's school shooters,
(42:18):
when there's teenagers that go out and be old women,
how parents should be responsible. These women are no longer kids, right,
and so as adults, there comes a time where you
have to and you will like without it, you know,
(42:38):
without you wanting to where you sit and view your
parents as the adult that they are, the decisions they made,
maybe possibly the trauma they put you through because of
how they showed up or didn't show up for you
as a parent, and so for me, you sat in
that courtroom.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
And listened to hours of testimony, hours.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Of testimony, like from both men and women. And so
for me at nineteen years old, if you're going to
express yourself as a woman and not a kid no more.
You're out of high school and you're entering adulthood. Bro,
you got to view acts from your parents, your siblings,
your friends as the adults that they are. And you
(43:20):
can't sit here and like let everyone know that you
have this positive, great relationship and that you love the
advice from your daddy who also, let's be very clear,
you're entering a business were before the allegations against women,
everyone says, yo, dadda did terrible business. Your daddy put
a lot of people in awful dealings. Hold on, and
(43:41):
so your conversation, your conversation during a front tract is
that you go ahead.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Good thing. A contract is twofold. It is is a
paper that was drummed up by the contract tour. You
have an option to have and doiser present or not,
but otherwise you are expected to read it. And I'm
talking about I'm talking about the bad business dealings. I
(44:08):
don't look. These artists signed them ships and then they
cry foul later. The music industry is set up that way.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
It's not.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
It's not all the executives or the label's fault. You
have an obligation as an artist to have proper representation
so you won't get in this loop point and you
renegotiate whatever it is on there that that don't align
with your whatever you got going on. So when they say, oh,
you took my publishing, you signed it, I do agree
with you, but to the extent that again, the locks
(44:37):
when they were putting pressure, do you know why they
retreat it? Can they really that was not doing too well?
Here's the thing about it. I agree with you from
the standpoint of, yeah, you for bad business dealings, like yeah,
the ship is set up against you, you should read
it and figure out what it is.
Speaker 3 (44:51):
But also like the ship is predatory, same.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Way people sign predatory mortgages and predatory loans and all
kinds of other ship.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
But the same way we talked about Tosa Linox. Not
like doing the pr cover up. There's no way these
two girls go on a press front for a clothing
line knowing they're going to be asked about their goddamn father,
and this is their answer.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
So this is my thing in general, right, I think
when it comes to friends of people who have done
bad things, I expect, right or wrong, I expect a
little bit more honesty about the whole thing. When it
comes to family members of people who have been accused
(45:30):
of doing wrong things, I don't really expect that family members, Okay,
because I'm not saying that it makes them right. I'm
just saying that I expect some family some people are
willing to cut off their family for whatever, not just
for whatever. But if you've done some fucked up shit,
there are some people who are family members who are
willing to be like, I don't give a fuck. If
(45:51):
that's my daddy, my cousin, my sister, my mama, whoever
it is, fucked that person they did something foul.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
Then you have the Nicki minajas, Yeah, who sign ad by.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Their whoever it is. I expect that from some people, right,
right or wrong.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
I expect that.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
So I'm not totally surprised that they were effusive in
their praise of dad and how great he is or
whatever whatever.
Speaker 3 (46:15):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
However, However, it's as young women, but women not kids,
I expect you to know that. I expect you to
understand your target audience. A, your target audience. B. This
idea that oh, well, his press is his press and
(46:36):
it's not our press. No no, no, no, no, no,
no no. You are the daughters of a man who
is not only convicted of the prostitution all that stuff,
but like a non abuser, a known abuse. It's all
a video of the Cassie thing.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Like, mind you to say this when allegations and rumors
and allegedly you're father may have had something to do
with the death of your mind.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Well, that's the other question. I was going to ask,
how many people you got to kill to be a
serial killer? Like the niggas? Bro, Yeah, but anybody can
allege anything. There's no I'm not sure Landing that I'm
talking about City College, but TUPAC. But what they eat.
(47:24):
I'm just saying, like, Bro, you're involved in a lot.
Speaker 9 (47:26):
Of people dying, even include with a oh yeah again,
whoever got serious, whoever got shot in the face was
shigned like, you're involved in the harm.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Of a lot of people, involved a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
What I'm saying is we have to be careful as
members of the media.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Press. Thank you a legend enough, but also he's accused
of he's accused by verbalists, not if investigators are tangible ship.
They have not investigated him for the murder of Can Porter.
I'm not even talking to the King Porter thing. I'm
talking about everybody else. I'm talking about City College. I'm
biggup and shine. I know you aren't involved in Cassie video.
(48:11):
You were involved in the harm of a lot of
people and allegedly I guess my boy.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
That was a part of the love album.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Like there's a lot of shit.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
I just say it.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
I'm just there's a lot of smoke around that fire,
so whatever.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
Like.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
But to them, it's like, you know, hey, can't have
no grain, no, no, what I'm saying cooked.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
The kids need to say, hey, that's my father. You
know where where is ken? But we're here to talk
about us. You don't sit here and praise that has
this many allegations against him, when also your target audiences women, girl,
you can't see your stand up like, well, we're nineteen,
we're young in that world, and then you going against
(49:03):
you aligning yourself with a man who has gone against
your target audio.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
The only thing I'll say about that is that, yes,
but there's a lot of vagina owners that would be
lined up outside State Farm Arena if R Kelly got
out of prison two days. There's a lot of vagina
owners have a lot of data who would pull right
up to that joint and be like it's the remixed
(49:29):
to agnition. So like yes, but.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
Going to a lot of difference.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
Yo, the fuck it is that. I've seen money A
lot of women like yo, why he need to perform?
Some of them are Kelly record, yeah yeah, from Washing
Yeah yeah yeah yeah, jay Z Concert right yeah, So like, yes,
I agree with you that, like that is crazy to
be selling women's clothes and to also support an abuser
(49:56):
of women. But that wouldn't surprise I mean.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
Okay, so let's get it, you know, Christopher.
Speaker 2 (50:01):
Brown, let's fold right into it.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
While we're discussing Diddy DJ WebStar, we have a clip
to play. He went on the Big Facts podcast.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
Big Facts.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Oh no, I'm lying. It's Kodak Kodak's house. Yeah, he
used to be on Big Facts.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
So he went on a podcast and shared how Cassie,
who was like a sister, followed him. If you want
to unmute that and play this clip bag.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
Well, let's get into it.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Cassie.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Cassie unfollowed me because this first time I'm saying this too.
This is crazy. I wrote a character letter for puff
I did not know that. Yeah, so I was close
with I was very close with Cassie. I got close with.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
That's a hard situation to be Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Because it's like that's that's I still consider how my sister.
It's like I love her. You know what I'm saying,
what they went through, they went through.
Speaker 10 (50:53):
I wasn't there for you cannot love me and write
a character witness.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
Letter for No, You're wrong, You're wrong. I'm gonna tell
you she's not. I'm gonna tell you.
Speaker 10 (51:03):
Kodak beat out of me, and you are my brother
and you love me, and you randomly write a fucking
character letter for him.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
You don't go to jail.
Speaker 6 (51:13):
He might.
Speaker 2 (51:14):
Let me ask you a question. Now, let me ask
you a question.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
Impressive rights and lips?
Speaker 2 (51:17):
What if I see you beat the shit out of
him before and nobody seen it.
Speaker 1 (51:22):
I have different views on women beating.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Oh happy man's mental health mom last month.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
Okay, So I just want to add to this that
there is a longer version of this clip, clearly he
goes further into why he wrote the outside of what
he just shared, he goes further into saying did he
should not have been charged a rico? So my defense
(51:50):
letter was because I thought that what he was actually
being charged with was beyond what I felt he was
guilty of. It had nothing to do with the abuse
to Cassie. It was that he was being unfairly treated
as a black man, being charged with a rico and
all of these allegations, and I felt like that was
(52:11):
a harsh punishment or a harsh charge for what they
were trying to pin him on. Now, very interesting because
this is also the first person we've seen the docs.
This was the first person who alluded to well I
may have seen Cassie lay her hands on him.
Speaker 3 (52:27):
No, but no, See that's he might be right, But
here's a problem.
Speaker 2 (52:31):
Talk to me.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
You're gonna bring it up. Go there, did it? Did
it happen? Because you're alluding it to it.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
So you might as well at this point, what juncture
say it? Because we don't need a question anymore because
now it's like, bro, if that's your cysts, you probably
shouldn't have did the character letter and I'm pretty sure
they had other people that did character letters where you
could have say, you know what, out of respect, in decency,
decency with their relationship.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
He just bow out, Now, I'm not gonna alive for
uh so dj website for some of y'all do not
know or I'm not familiar with him, which is crazy
because it's a good friend of mine. He is chicken
liddle soup, what is all on the side, And he
does talk about to his relationship with the Colms children.
He's a part of the family, right.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
It is that Harlem for a shore And to me,
here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
If you saw, and that's where I think he went
into explaining the defense was for the rico because to
me curious to ask y'all. Hypothetically, you are friends with
a guy, you become friends with his partner. You see
that they are in a toxic, tumultuous relationship where both
(53:49):
parties are guilty. Your friend goes and gets locked up,
but you formed a relationship with his partner who you
knew was also being abused. Do you involve yourself in
terms of writing a character witness letter for your friend
even though you've now become friends with a partner. But
you've witnessed abuse on both sides. I'm curious to know
(54:12):
as mad and so one of those levels.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Because this to me, like he beat her.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
You can't convince me to believe that you can't pay me.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
I don't think any woman could beat a man up
the way a man could beat up a woman. But
I still believe, and I said this on Tuesday. Women
shouldn't be putting their hands on Mannick.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
No, sure, but like, let me, let me try to
organize this because there's a lot of shit going on
in this. First things, First, he described Cassie as his sister,
not Diddy as his brother.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Further down, he does I think Cassie became his sister
through his relationship because he talks about his relationship with
the whol Holmes family. Okay, so this is don't dissect
the clip and what exactly was said, because in full
context he shares his relationship with Diddy.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Fair enough, Yeah, fair enough, A I agree with you
that if you're gonna say that, then say what the
incident was, whatever it is. Also, whether you know niggas
might not like this shit, but everyone should keep their
hands to himself and all of it is domestic violence.
(55:19):
But if she slapped ditty one time, because who knows,
whatever the thing happened while she felt like she had
to slap him, we never saw any of that, and
we don't know anything about that. We saw him drag her,
stomp her barefoot on the floor of a hotel lobby
because she was trying to get away from the nigga.
(55:40):
We saw that.
Speaker 8 (55:41):
We know that.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
Also when it comes to the rico, Okay, fine, if
you think the rico is unfair, fine, but this is
a character letter. This isn't oh, write a letter to
see to express that you think the charges are unfair.
This is about character. And if this man, if you, oh,
this man stomped the mud hole in this lady, then
(56:04):
your character is in question. It's not even in question.
Your character is impugned. You impugned your character by doing that,
and we all saw it. So I can't write. Even
if something happened to you that violated you, I e.
Cassie allegedly putting his hands on her, your character is
still in question because the violence that you did against
her he didn't have nothing to do with. Whenever it
(56:26):
is that he you wasn't in that room when he
chased her down the hall in his bath robe, so
you do. But we saw it, so you can't vouch
for his character. You're saying, this is my friend, and
I feel a type of way about the charges that
my friend are getting.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
It's tricky question. Do actions cancel each other out if
both parties are guilty of doing it?
Speaker 2 (56:49):
No, so why not because you can't cancel You can't
cancel your actions out. If Cassie beat Diddy, let's just
say that's the thing that happen. Then if Diddy didn't
go to the police to say, hey, I was abused
by this woman, and there was no other witnesses or
(57:10):
no one came out at the time to say hey yo,
you're wild and whatever, whatever, whatever, then that's just abuse
in its own vacuum. And when when he goes to
stop her out in the hotel room, that's just abuse.
There is no retaliatory abuse that can be justified. Tricky
because self defense is self defense.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
For me, for the friends of my life who I
know lay their hands on men. First, if a nigga
lays his hands back, now again, would did he Let's
remove ourselves from Diddy because we saw the video Cassie
was in fetal position. So I'm no longer talking about
Diddy Cassie. I'm talking about if my friend is in
(57:58):
a relationship and her hands on a nigga, a nigga
that I like, a person that I think is a
good partner, person that has showed himself to be kind
or shown himself to be in this relationship, and y'all
get into whatever, argument, debate whatever, and my friend a
(58:20):
woman lays her hands on a man, and that man
responds by laying his hands back, I ain't gonna hold
you canceled out because to me, bit you shouldn't have
laid your hands on that man to begin with, and
I don't like that. Men who, let's be very clear,
(58:40):
allegedly don't grow up in a household with a father
aren't taught how to be men, are taught to be
sexually promiscuous at early ages, are not taught really how
to be good humans. A man who shows up as
a good human being should not have to take on
the physical abuse of a woman. Women don't know how
(59:00):
to behave So if if a nigga slapped five back
on your ass, I'm canceling it out because you shouldn't
have felt comfortable laying your hands.
Speaker 11 (59:08):
On the man.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
But self defense is not abuse. If we get into
a fish, if you put your hands on me and
we're in a fight, yeah, most people are gonna feel
like a man. There's no A lot of people will
say there's no reason for a man to ever put
his hands on a woman, regardless of what the situation is.
That's fine.
Speaker 1 (59:24):
I disagree with and that's and that's fine. That's why
women feel like they could hit on a neck.
Speaker 2 (59:29):
But what I'm saying is that self defense is not abuse.
You slapping me, a woman slapping a man on Monday,
and then a man stomping her on the street forty
days later, that's not self defense. That's not even retaliation.
That's not I mean, that's not that's not I I'm.
Speaker 1 (59:48):
Talking about the even exchange of in the moment.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
I mean the mar I'm not like to me, it's as.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
If a woman lays hands first. Yeah, because because my
problem too begins the conversation of well, even as women,
the excuse becomes kind of what we saw with oh
girl from the Bachelor or The Bachelor through the chairs
and Auto Taylor whatever, it becomes the conversation of well,
(01:00:17):
he made me so upset, I did it. But unfortunately, men,
there's not supposed to ever be a time where you
get sorry rate you you use physical violence, and so
for I don't like any level of excuse that gives
a woman a pass to a man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
No, there's no, there's no excuse. When just why I
don't like.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
The website you alluding to you seeing Cassie Lane her.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Hands on his You should have kept that to himself
or elaborate for you're going to do it now we're
having questions. I agree, he's in the court of public opinion.
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
Are you all writing a character witness letter for your
friends that you know have laid hands on their partners?
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
No, I'm saying it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
I'm staying out of it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Answer you, you fucked up and did whatever you did
to end up in this situation, and now it's in
the jury's hands or the or the judges hands.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Also, okay, is there wait, is there any part where
y'all would write a character letter knowing that maybe your
friend ain't the most perfect outstanding citizen, Because.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
To be fair, like it's circumstantial if it's we're talking
about specifically women ship women and kids. Is there's no
character a letter need to be happy? Yeah, everything else
is whatever that's subject robbing a bank, robbing a bank,
you beat some nigga up somebody, and look if somebody
robbed the bank, right, you're you're you're writing about the
(01:01:47):
person that you know that didn't because you don't know
that they were. Right, you're speaking to the person I know.
This is how I know this person.
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
But you know, if your homeboy on trial for robbing
a bank, what are you all trial for?
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
That point doesn't matter. You're you're testifying about that person
who you know prior to the bank robbery with women
and kids. There's no prior to anything. It's an egregious act.
And that's why I say it's subjective that is off limits.
And also WebStar, I will not personally believe that WebStar
did not see the video of the hotel saw. We
(01:02:21):
all know you're not going to sell me on that.
Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
Everyone's difference too, though the trial did. He was not
being charged for that.
Speaker 11 (01:02:31):
And that's why he should have never even said yeah,
because now you can because now the line is you
could do a character with witness based on what I
told you right, Meaning he could have did a character
letter rather saying, hey, I vouch for his who he
is as a person and.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
What he believed in it and I know him from
this tenure and he will stand up bla blah blah
blah blah. Could that speaking to the character. The issue
wasn't about the court case, wasn't about Cassie. It wasn't
It was about the other ship, yes, right, him even
bringing that up to that, it's all bullshit. I think
he might have forgot bro. You really didn't have to
(01:03:07):
even bring her in the commons, because what you're doing
is picking a side. You're picking a side. You're saying
she's more important to me than her.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
You can't be mad than Cassie.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
That's not should be shocking. But also too, I noticed
too a lot of a lot of guys that that
that that it's part of Diddy's ecosystem. They acknowledge him
as puff. I acknowledged that is they're speaking to a
particular time period when they knew him, and they thought
most people say.
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
Puff and then one of these niggas called him love right.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
But also the other part of it is too is
like nobody except for the one boy who had his
butt hurt and the ship. But listen, the thing about
it is is that Sean Combs has been shown Combs
since day one. Wherever timeline you met him in, he
(01:04:06):
was the same guy, screaming on people, wilding out on people,
raging on people, maybe slapping people allegedly, maybe punching people allegedly,
maybe were throwing chairs. He's been that same guy, and
I refuse to believe that anyone who's known him doesn't
know that, hasn't seen that themselves. So again, what character
(01:04:27):
are you speaking to? He made great music, that's not
your character. The problem made great business with.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
You, I'll be honest with you. Get a little vulnerable now.
I have a friend that I felt like at the time,
though maybe she wasn't the best character overall, with her
political views, with how she treated other people, with how
other people perceived her, she didn't do it to me.
(01:04:55):
And so when we lean into the shut.
Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Up a king, I know as soon as he says,
we lean into.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
The individualistic ways in which we even police ourselves in
terms of maybe shopping a target, maybe doing things that
benefit us for convenience. Well, we have friends. Those friends
can be robberts Fever's abusers. But if they don't steal
from us, rob from us, abuse us, we unfortunately tend
(01:05:26):
to not view them as those people because we view
them as to how they treat us.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
And that's the problem, and that is the problem. And
it goes back to what I was talking about two
weeks ago, like when I say we need to be
able to slay our faves, like our faves are not
just jay Z and celebrity friends, our family. You need
to be able to say what it is. And so
the idea that they didn't do it to me, Like
(01:05:52):
I know, I've seen this conversation go along a lot
with women who are dating and they go on dinner
with a guy and they'll say, okay, trying to figure
out who this guy is. And if I see this
guy be rude to the waiter, I don't fuck with him.
If I see him talk crazy to the valet, I
don't fuck with him because he's showing you his character,
(01:06:14):
He's showing you who he is. This is how I
get down, This is how I operate with people, This
is how I treat people, and that no one is
immune to that, Like that's just who that person is
that's how they get down in this society. So to
ignore that is not just like selfish, it's selectively ignorant. Agreed,
(01:06:37):
and so like if WebStar never saw any of this, okay, fine,
but you know we all saw it. You know what
the nigga is on. I can't vouch for your character
if I've seen your character a woman down a hallway, Yeah,
your character is out the window now. So even if
I can't be like, I'm not putting my name on that.
(01:06:59):
So now I have the answer for Like, that's what
you're saying. It's like cost and a car Loan for somebody.
You're saying, well, I'll be responsible for that if they
fuck up. No, I will not. My integrity and my
morality and my dignity will not be compromised by you.
Hell no.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
And on that note, this was a good bonus episode.
Gay we ate that anyways, next year will be a
fanatics Yep, this was fun.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
I will be if you guys are.
Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
Listening to this now. I am in Chicago All Star Weekend,
WNBA All Star Weekend. If you see me out, I
am doing Man on the Street with Spill. Come up,
be a part of the spill.
Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Mob.
Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
Let's have a conversation about whether you're getting tested or
not and continue the conversations around sexual health within our community.
So again, if you outside WNB All Star Chicago, you
might see me with a mask because you know, goddamn
fires it is real. Oh my god, it's real real.
But see me there? Where are y'all out this weekend?
Speaker 3 (01:08:06):
Chilling?
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
I'm trying to see the Odyssey and you know he's not.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
It's real cute.
Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
Hey, Canada, uh not a Canada. I need you all
to chill out with these fucking wildfires.
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
Man, that's smoking California every summer too.
Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
Yeah, don't don't it. Don't come over to New York.
That's too far right.
Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
But I'm talking about the winning in California. I mean
in Canada that came down.
Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
Well, I don't know if you see our goddamn president.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Who's what our president is on some bullshit.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
Like fuck sending aid like every other country did when
we were dealing with the California fires. He's like he
has a Canada. I supposed to fines on you niggas
because y'all can't get your fires under control. What how
about we fucking be an ally to the fucking country
that literally borders us. Oh, you might want to put
a border up for Canada too, just like you want
to do fucking Mexico.
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Speaking of him, real quick, do you see the the Spain.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
I was gonna say, he's too busy that he has
nothing to do with get Trump at the stage all
in the video, it was all the photo. He was
trying to run, like, all right, we gotta go, we
gotta go, and Trump was like ahead, come on, He's like, no,
I'm chilling here. I'm gonna be in this picture because
the first time we root for the colonizers colin versus they,
(01:09:25):
all we had left, Yeah, we had left was colonizers,
and that's all it was. I will not think.
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
