in the door. And you know, I tried to help
the guy out and next thing you know, you helped
him out a little bit and he gets to volume
and does some stuff. Now he's at MSG, he's bound,
he's good, and he's on the knicks. And we talk
about Brunson. You should listen to him. Score him when
I talk about trading for Giannis, because you know, technically
is an MSG employee. The Knicks own him, so he's

got to be bullish, but he's a realist as well.
You guys are like it. Alex Monica is great. But
before we get to him to break down, we'll talk
a lot of Nick Celtics. I just I you know,
I don't know what's going on in the NBA playoffs.
I just don't understand this. So the big news Steph
Curry gets hurt in the second quarter, goes down with
a hamstring injury. Did not look good. Anybody who's ever

had a hamstring injury. It's weeks, not days. This series
is every other day for the first four games. I
don't know. I mean, we know Curry left in the
second quarter, did not return, no updates. It's pretty clear.
I would guess he's out at least a week minimum, right,

So as soon as he goes out, you're like, oh,
Tier come the Timberwolves, and I guess Minnesota just you know,
didn't get the memo and they played like ass. They
were atrocious. This was a mostly unwatchable basketball game. We'll
get to the fun good stuff Calves Pacers in a moment,
But when Curry goes out with the hammy you're like,
all right, timber Wolves are down a little bit, eleven, twelve,

they can come back, and then they just can't score.
And listen, Golden State's a good defensive team. They're not great.
They have no rim protector. But when you can't make
a shot, it doesn't matter. Anthony Edwards, folks, first forty
five minutes, he could not make a jump shot, nothing
outside the paint. Only layups and dunks. That's all he

was doing. Actually, I don't know if he actually dunked.
He was just a lot of layups at the rim.
He had a horrible game. It's interesting that Anthony Edwards
ran his mouth, talked all kinds of shit after dispatching
the Lakers, and then he comes outscores one point in
the first half one. They're down thirteen at the half,
and it only gets worse from there. Even with Curry out,

the Wolves lose by eleven, and frankly, the Lakers and
Lakers fans had to be watching us being like, wait
a minute, who where was this when we played them?
And again, Golden State's defense is good. It hustles, it
rotates quickly. They don't have a rimp protector. Draymond obviously's
excellent and everywhere, but this idea that Minnesota went oh

for sixteen to start the game from three, could not
make one to save their life, finished five of twenty nine. Yes,
it's true. Buddy Heals hit five four threes. Buddy Healed
made as many threes as the Warriors, and you know
three pointers are big in the NBA. Obviously, Golden State
eighteen threes they shot forty two percent. Minnesota hit five.

So let's do some matth here. Eighteen minus five is
thirteen thirteen times three is thirty nine. When you're plus
thirty nine on threes, you ain't losing. And that's why
this was double digits. Minnesota, frankly is lucky. It was
just close. Mike Conley was abysmal, oh for five. Rudy
Gobert had some flashes, and I wonder if they're gonna

have to play him more because I mean, Julius Rando
resorted to being regular Julius Randall. I know he finished
with eighteen, but a lot of it was on free throws.
Could not make a shot over three and from deep
after shooting, I think it was thirty nine percent from
threes against the Lakers, Jaden McDaniels couldn't make a three.
I mean the starting backcourt of Conley and Edwards shot

nine for twenty seven. Okay Nasried came off the bench.
It was good. De Vincenzo kind of thugging it up
a little bit with Jimmy Butler. Draymond Green was not
having it. Warriors bench was not happy with him. This
looked nothing like the Deiverworlds team we saw. And then
on the other side, yes, Jenny Butler had twenty and
eleven and eight, Buddy Held had twenty four and eight.
Pods still can't shoot, but is a gritty defender. I

mean they team rebound. I don't know, guys, it's one game.
You don't want to overreact, but Minnesota looked atrocious like
they were feeling themselves off the Lakers win. That being said,
I think Minnesota bounces back in Game two, a much
easier team to defend with no Steph Curry and I
don't even know who they who are you put in

the starting lineup Gary Payton, So now you have non
shooters in Peyton although he did hit two threes, non shooter,
and Peyton non shooter and Draymond Draymond did hit four threes,
which is a little turn back to clock. I mean,
we saw Pat Spencer and his mustache on the court
for eleven minutes, like what. Anyways, I wasn't that into
that game. I was, however, into Pacers Calves. Now, if

you remember, after the Pacers won Game one, all the
data said the home teams that are heavily favored and
did this during the regular season, they bounced back in
Game two. It was something like thirty and four against
the spread, ridiculous numbers. So I instantly took the Calves
minus nine and a half. Then like two hours later, yeah,

Evan Mobley's unlikely to play DeAndre Hunter and we don't
know about Darius Garland. And then on Tuesday we find
out all three of those guys are out, and I'm like, oh, well,
that bets shot. The line came cratering down. I think
I saw seven, seven and a half something like that.
But after the first quarter, the Calves were up thirty
two fifteen. The Calves led by twenty in the third quarter,

but no twenty point lead in the NBA is safe,
And oh my gosh, do the Indiana Pacers hustle harder?
Than any other team left in the playoffs. In my opinion,
the Knicks are scrappy as hell. I think the Pacers
are even more scrappy. This team is relentless and folks,

if you haven't seen it, they were down seven, okay,
do you remember the game against Milwaukee down seven with
forty second storm back and get the win. Well, in
this one on the road against mighty Cleveland with let's
see here, with forty eight seconds left, they're down by seven,
you get Aaron Nesmith with an unbelievable play where uh

it was at the end it was the air some
Donovan Mitchell, somebody missed a free throw and Aaron Nesmith's
comes soaring in and dunks it back. Oh no, no,
I'm sorry now, I couldn't have been Dono Mitchell. Dummy,
Pascal Siakam missed a free throw. Calves are asleep. Aaron
ne Smith comes crashing through the lane and dunks it.

And on the play it looked like Donovan Mitchell kind
of got banged up, but it invigorated Indiana. It's like
a dunk back off a free throw. You don't see that.
Donovan Mitchell turns the ball over out with an elbow
to the face on accident. Of course. Then Pascal Siakam
scores and all of a sudden that seven point leads
down to three. Okay, Then you have Max Struce. I mean,

this is where the Calves are right now. No Garland,
no Hunter, no mobile. You've got Max Strews trying to
create turns it over and then Halliburton comes down, makes
the first free throw. There is some question if he
missed the second on purpose or not. I don't know.
It was close, but he popped it up so perfectly

off the front of the rim that Miles Turner tips it.
Of course Haliburton collects it, and then Haliburton finds himself
what on one on the perimeter against Ty Jerome. Now
there is this Pat Beverly video out there because I
guess he did a podcast and people will ask him, hey,
Ty Jerome, he could be a factor in the playoffs.
He's lighting it up, and Pat pav was like, excuse me.
It's one thing to score a bunch in the regular

season eighty two games. A lot of guys have had
good games. It's another when you've got to play playoff
basketball and defend and shoot. And with Garland out. Ti
Jerome has to play a lot. He's a uva hero.
He had a really good season. People think he's gonna
get paid this offseason. Game one, he took twenty shots. Okay,
he played way too much. It took too many shots.
Game two, Ti Jerome one for fourteen. This is a

good shooter, a really good shooter. He was one for fourteen,
miss all his threes and then is left on an
island against Haliburton. In the closing seconds, Halliburton step back
three in his face. And I don't know if I've
ever yelled about Indiana Pacers game, but I was solow
watching this that I was like, this is crazy. Is

this really happening? And then Halliburton steps back and I'm like,
oh my, My family's like, what's going on? What happened?
I was like, Halliburton, what the HELLI halle Burton. I
was just going crazy.

I love Halliburton and Indiana steals. Game two, they go
up to nothing on the calves. I don't want to
say the series is over, but I think the series over, folks.
I mean, Aaron Nesmith, what a freaking game that guy had.
He listen, everybody needs role players. I know you guys
don't really care about this, but you know the way
we built the great Foxes over the years is, hey,

we got size, we got guards, we got wings. What
we need our role players to surround two or three
superstars because you know in men's leagues here you can't.
Nobody makes every game, and Aaron Nesmith is the quintessential.
I'm gonna work my butt off on defense, I'm gonna
block some shots, I'm gonna make some shots. He had

five threes. I mean, Aaron Nisith had a hell of
a game. He scored twenty three points. And the guy's
just everywhere. He played at Vanderbilt. He's only twenty five.
The Celtics actually drafted him. But him and Andrew Nemhar Nemhart,
another hard nosed defender. He had thirteen assists. Andrew Nemart thirteen,
thirteen and seven. Now, he did have eight turnovers. A

little sloppy with the basketball, but Andrew Nemart another guy.
He's not going to force a ton. He did miss
his threes, but he had a really strong game. And
of course Haliburton brings it home. Miles Turner my guy,
future laker, as Rob G would say, twenty three and
eight had five blocks. Folks, this team is dangerous. My
main man, Ben matherin the Arizona legend for one year,

came off the bench with nineteen and Indiana's up to nothing.
I think the series is over. I mean we're ten
minutes in. I'd even mention Donovan Mitchell had forty eight.
He was tremendous, but he got dinged up at the end.
Ty Jerome could not throw it in the ocean. Yeah,
I mean, Dean Wade was a starter. They put Sam
Merril on the bench. He comes off and was making shots,
but they just do not have enough offense. Despite leading

the entire game, the Cavs blow it and fall down
oh two. So pencil it in, folks. The Indiana Pacers,
I mean, you never want to say anything's a lock,
but I've got them in the conference finals now against
New York or Boston. That will be back to back
years where the Pacers go to the Conference finals. And
I'm just telling you this team is hungry. They got

some dogs on the Indiana Pacers, all right. Whoa hell
of a night in the Association. By the way, first
five games of the Conference semifinals, favorites are oh and
five against the spread, oh and five straight up Ohn
five straight up Pacers got two, Nick's got one. Uh,

Denver Nuggets got one, and then the Warriors go one.

Let's let's look at two things here, all right, two
things happen. Obviously, they shot poorly, that's gonna be readjusted.

we're talking about Mariano Rivera on the team. I mean,
this is the best closer in the game. I got
a number here after three NBA players from ninety seven

to watch yesterday the Cadence, it's I said it on

history suggests if you win the title, historically the defending

have them go to work.

didn't get the memo and they played like ass. They

And listen, Golden State's a good defensive team. They're not great.
