What's up? This is the people Shark. Here Damon John
with a motivation moment for you. Courtesy of that Moment
with Damon John, a production of the Black Effect podcast
Network and iHeartRadio. For all those that have retail shops,
I put this in one of my earlier books. Do

you realize that there are two things that are critical
for having in a retail store? Number one a place
to sit and number two a good amount of registered
Believe it or not, I have experienced in the store
that I have served over my course of business that
business sales can increase a whopping eight to ten percent

if you put places to sit. Why well, if women's
shop ten times every one time a man's shop, and
she's out there buying and purchasing, let shans he happens
to be with a man, and that person a place
to sit, and if not, that person is going to
be aggravating her asking you know when they're leaving. Oh
my god. Think about when a woman's out shopping and

the child is with them, or several children, or just
somebody that a friend who doesn't have time to wait.
We'll sit over there in the corner and play with
your iPhone, your iPad, call your friend, do whatever you
want to do, and let me have my piece while
I'm shopping. That converts into more time in the store,

more time for people to test and try things, and
salespeople to have a great conversation with them. Let's think
about this. What about if you have a bunch of
clothes in your hand or I don't care boxes anything else.
Have you ever been to a department store or a
store and you see the line is too long or
what do you do? You immediately put it down and

you say I'll come back, and nine out of ten
times you do not come back. So if all those
who are in hospitality or operating any kind of businesses
have waiting area is little areas, and have enough registers
and ways to cover the deal, you always must be selling,
and I promise you you will increase business eight to

ten percent. And they have it tuned in every single
Monday and Tuesday for new episodes. Up That Moment with
Damon John brought to you by the Black Effect Podcast Network.
