Speaker 1 (00:00):
There is a story that is really interesting that's developing
right now, and that is how the economy is actually
staying resilient even though we have gas prices that have
obviously gone up because of the war and Iran. Now
the media is trying to capitalize on this and saying
that Donald Trump is destroying this country, destroying the middle class,
and therefore you should immediately think that Democrats are going
(00:23):
to help you. Now, let's also just deal with the
reality that Democrats have made it very clear that if
they have it their way, they would actually like to
keep gas prices where they are right now. They want
to force you into their Green New Deal, They want
to force you into an electric vehicle. But because Republicans
are in charge of the House, Senate, in the White House,
(00:44):
they're now saying that these gas prices are horrific, the
same exact gas prices, by the way, that they gave
you for years on end when Barack Obama was president
and also when Joe Biden was president. In fact, it
was the official a policy of the Democratic Party to
make gas prices go as high as they were in Europe,
(01:06):
which translated into six seven, eight nine dollars a gallon
in the United States of America. You also look at
where gas prices are the highest and where if they
really wanted to lower gas prices they could do it.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
That's California.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Why is California's gas price so much higher than the
rest of the country. It is because of the massive
amounts of taxes they put on gasoline, trying to force
people in California to basically bow down to the Green
New Deal and to buy an electric vehicle or to
ride share or to do kumbayas stuff. That is their
(01:43):
ultimate goal and their mission. Now, while all that is happening,
there's another part of this story, and that is why
is our economy still holding up under this new pressure.
It's actually very simple, and it's a story that the
media is not touching at all. What Donald Trump has
been able to do and you have to go back
to twenty seventeen to understand this is he has transformed
(02:06):
the backbone of this country. How did he do it
by protecting, aiding and supporting small businesses in America. That's
how Donald Trump changed the game with his historic tax cuts.
I want you to make no mistake about it. When
Donald Trump talks about his economic agenda, and he did. Today,
(02:27):
you're talking literally about the most aggressive pro small business
tax revolution that we've seen in modern American history period.
All this started with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts
of twenty seventeen. It was a sweeping overhaul of the
tax code that slash taxes across the board and fundamentally
(02:48):
changed how businesses, large and especially small businesses operated. Now,
before those cuts, small businesses especially passed through entities like
LLCs and s corps.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
We're getting crushed.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
They had high tax rates, they had complex regulations, and
very little incentive to expand their businesses. Then Trump came
in and he said, hey, I want to give you
a better chance to make it. I want more businesses
to succeed than to fail, and we're going to let
you keep more of your money so that you can
make it through tough times when you're starting a business
and flourish when you actually start making money. What happened boom.
(03:26):
The tax rates then dropped, deductions expanded, the incentives to
invest skyrocketed. Now we're talking about lower marginal rates, we're
talking about immediate expenses for equipment, and massive incentives to
hire and grow your company. The results are clear, not
(03:47):
only are economists saying that not only did GDP show
increase and employment rose significantly because you had stronger incentives
for business to invest and expand that was the real
world impact. Small business owners suddenly had more cash flow,
that meant more hiring, that meant better wages, I mean
expansion and taking bigger risks instead of just being in
(04:09):
survival mode, which we witnessed during the Obama years. And
then Trump doubled down in his second term on what
he laid that groundwork for in twenty seventeen. He had
more political power, he believed coming in, and he said
tax relief was a mandate for working Americans and small
businesses alike. He did things that no one thought about.
(04:32):
One of those that now we're seeing the real world
effects of it was this no tax on tips. Now,
when you think about who that hits waiters, bartenders, service workers,
hotel staff, dealers at a casino, millions of Americans, valet drivers,
for example, they rely uber drivers, lyft drivers actually rely
(04:55):
on tips to survive. And what Donald Trump said is
these people were working hard. We need to give them
a chance to succeed and to grow and to maybe
move away from those jobs down the road and start
their own businesses. Many of those workers can deduct tens
of thousands of dollars in tip income from federal taxes.
That's incredible. We've already seen an instant impact. Again, the
(05:19):
media doesn't want you to know this. We're talking millions
of workers that are benefiting, some already getting refunds of
up to eight thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Let's be clear.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
That's an eight thousand dollar rays for Americans that need
it the most.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
And here's the key that you need to understand.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Not only does this help small businesses in the service
industry retain employees, it helps them fill jobs. It helps
them also stay competitive. Now you layer in the next
thing that the President did no taxes on overtime or
at least major deductions. Under the current law, workers can
deduct up to twelve thousand, five hundred in overtime income
(06:01):
are twenty five thousand for families. What does that mean
instead of being punished for working even harder Americans are
now being rewarded for it. And again, this directly benefited
small businesses. Because employees are now more willing to take
up extra hours, businesses can scale up production without the
(06:22):
same labor resistance, and during holiday and special seasons, because
other people that work for the company are saying, yeah,
I want the extra hours because I don't have to
pay tax on that overtime in September, October, November, or
whatever time of year when that business gets busy. It's
a win win for the small business, it's a win
win for the employee. And here's the stat that should
(06:44):
blow everyone away. Nearly thirty million Americans, we now understand,
have already taken advantage of these tip and overtime tax breaks.
Thirty million. That's not small little policy. It's a nationwide
economic shift because of Donald Trump. Now, if you zoom
(07:07):
out and you look at the bigger picture, as Democrats
are still trying to convince you that everything's terrible, it's
all doom and gloom, Trump's strategy has been really simple,
but extremely effective and powerful. You cut taxes, you literally
just say I'm gonna let people keep their harder money
that they're working hard for. I'm going to make it
easier to hire, I'm gonna make it easier for businesses
(07:28):
to grow, and I'm gonna let the economy do what
it does best. And small businesses They're the biggest winners
in all this, not corporate America, not the billionaires, as
democrats that want to DEMONI. By the way, billionaires are
the ones that employ the most people in this country.
We shouldn't demonize successful big businesses. They give amazing jobs
and usually amazing benefits. But small businesses employ people everywhere
(07:53):
in anybody towns, moms and pops. This is what you
need because look small all businesses. They don't have an
army of accountants like the big boys do to get
the best tax benefits. They don't have massive corporate buffers.
When taxes go down, they feel it immediately, and by
the way, when tax go up, they feel it immediately.
And when taxes go down, that's more inventory. That's the
(08:17):
idea of even a new location or expanding their hours.
That's the difference between firing a worker, laying off a worker,
staying stagnant, or hiring a new worker. You go from
survival into turning it into success. Now Democrats are saying
they don't like this. Why because it's igniting the economic
(08:38):
activity from the ground up, not from the top down.
This isn't government bureaucratic spending. This is literally outside the government,
bottom up growth. It's been driven by real small businesses
and real hard working Americans. And that's exactly why now
you're seeing the media refuse to cover this. You look
(08:58):
at the economy right now, there's no doubt that the
higher gas prices are a real thing, and it's certainly
not what we all want, but it's an important thing
because of national security. But small businesses, because of what
President Trump has already done, they're able to handle this
right now because of the Trump tax cuts. Now, the
(09:19):
president also understands something else small businesses. And I'm a
small business owner. We invest when we know that the
environment is stable, when it's pro growth, when it's real.
So when you hear Donald Trump come out talking about
these tax cuts, the Trump tax cuts, they don't just
think about Wall Street at the White House. They're thinking
about the small restaurant owner, to think about that contractor,
(09:43):
they're thinking about that single mom working overtime shifts to
make ends meet. To think about that single dad who's
doing everything you can to give us kids a better life.
They're thinking literally about millions of Americans who are finally
being told from our government, you earned it, Guess what
you get to keep it. And that's that's why this
tax agenda is such a deadly policy to the Democratic Party.
(10:06):
The Democratic Party is filled now with communists, socialists, and Marxists.
This is a fundamental shift that destroys what they're selling
when you say to Americans, hey, we want to reward work.
We want you to be rewarded with success. We want
people who power this economy every single day to wake
(10:27):
up the next day, excite and hungary to do it again. Now,
the President hosted a really cool event, small Business Summit,
at the White House. You're going to remember this voice
if you ever watched the show Pond Stars. Rick Harrison's
a guy that is actually really cool. He's a guy
that is in the embodiment of I call it the
(10:49):
success story of a small business owner in Vegas. He
has become a reality TV star with that show Pond Stars.
And he was speaking at the Small Business Summit, and
I want you to hear part of what he had
to say.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
I just want to say, he's amazing. He's done so much.
I mean so much for all of us. I mean,
the backbone of this country is small business, plain and simple,
and the last guy in office all you know, all
we heard was is that we were the evil people,
we were the bad people. Everything else like that we
don't pay our fair share whatever that's supposed to be.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
And he made it tough.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
And this guy, the Big Beautiful Bill, absolutely amazing, you
know what I mean, God bless you for letting me
get one dent appreciation.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
It really helps out.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
And all I can say is this is literally, I mean,
I'm a history buff and I know a lot about
this White House thing and everything. Literally, he's going to
go down as maybe the best president ever.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
I love this guy.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Short sweets and to the point, Wow, you here the
present there and he smiles, he says, pretty good, pretty good.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Why is the president doing this moment? Because he won
people to remember exactly what's happening. The President also was
reminding and of course the media is not going to
cover this. That's why I hope you'll share this show
the podcast wherever you can. But the President detailed hows
historic tax cuts have helped American small businesses.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
In his own words, listen to this.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Last summer, I proudly signed the Great, Big Beautiful Bill,
the largest tax cuts in the history of our country,
and boosting millions of small businesses, boosting millions of small businesses.
We passed no tax on tips, no tax on overtime,
(12:43):
and no tax on social security for our seniors. That's
big stuff. And we add that to the package that
we approved. In my first term. We had the best
financial years and the history of our country my first term,
and I think we're going to blow them away this term.
You know, in this term, we have eighteen trillion dollars
being invested in our country. And if you look at
(13:05):
the last administration, they had less than one trillion dollars
for four years. We have eighteen trillion during eleven month.
The twelve month hasn't come in yet in terms of
the numbers, but in eleven months eighteen trillion dollars investments.
We have auto plants being built all over the country.
AI plans we're doing and we're leading China in AI.
(13:26):
And I'm going to go see presidency in two weeks.
I look forward to that, but I'll say I'm leading
were going. We have we have very friendly competition, but
it'll be actually it'll be a very important trip. We
provided one hundred percent expensing and bonus appreciation, which is tremendous.
(13:46):
One of the biggest things that you have. I mean,
people have no idea how big that is. The businesses
do so that businesses can deduct one hundred percent of
the cost of new facilities, equipment, and capital investment in
the first year. Used to take thirty eight years of deduction.
Now you get it done in one. You can take
one so you can expand. I think that's what made
(14:06):
us so successful in the first term. But now we
have it for a ten year period, so you have
it for a while. I really was going to make
it for one year period. That would mean you spend
all your money immediately. Now, unfortunately I gave you too
much time. I was sort of against that. I said,
let's do it for a short period of time. But
we did it.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
It's a right thing.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
And this way, when I get out of office in
let's say eight or nine years from that, I'll be
able to use it. I'll be able to use it
for it.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
You're going to hear the president there obviously trolling the
media with his when he leaves office seven eight years ago.
That's all they'll hear. That's all they'll lose their minds about.
That's all they'll report on. So let's be clear what
President Trump is doing these tax cuts. It isn't just policy.
It's a direct investment in the American worker and the
(14:59):
small business is that keep this country alive. Goes back
to what the Pawn Stars show star Lily was saying,
He's helping small businesses survive. Washington, by the way, is
the one that's been punishing small business success. They taxed
over time, they tax tips, They made it harder to grow,
they made it harder to hire and harder to get ahead.
(15:21):
And Trump said, hey, I've owned businesses, a lot of them,
and I'm going to flip the script.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
And now if you work harder, you're rewarded for it.
You keep more, you.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Earn tips, you do great in service industry, you keep them,
you put it over time, You're rewarded, not penalized. That's
not just tax reform, that's respect for the worker in
this country. And guess what the result is, more hiring,
bigger paychecks, stronger small business success instead of them failing,
(15:50):
their succeeding, and an economy that actually works for the people,
not Washington, DC and the bureaucrats that want to take more.
This is why the media won't cover the story. This
is what pro growth leadership looks like in real time.
This is what putting Americans first actually looks like when
(16:11):
it becomes a policy. And for millions of Americans. I
mentioned the number earlier. Thirty million Americans have already taken
advantage of the no tax on tips and no tax
on overtime, and that number will grow. These Americans are
feeling the difference in their paychecks, They're also feeling the
(16:31):
difference in their future, which means they have more confidence
in this country, more confident in the ability to say
yes to their kids' dreams and to experiences and to
trips instead of no. So let me be clear, I
really want the war to wrap up very soon in Iran.
(16:53):
I want these gas prices to go down. I understand
how important it is for the midterms. I understand how
important it is that we get them down so that
we don't lose and we win. I also understand that
it was an important thing that the president need to do,
and it was a national security issue full stop. And
(17:16):
what the President of the United States of America is
now doing is he's doing the hard thing while also
doing everything he can to help America thrive. Isn't that
what we voted for? Isn't that what we all really
really wanted. So I'll say it again, this is the
(17:37):
story that needs to be told. This is the story
that everyone needs to be excited about. This is the
story that we're going to have to tell going into
the midterms so that it isn't a disaster because of
the narrative being sold to the American people by the left.
So I hope you'll take this data, the stats, the
(17:59):
good news. I hope you'll share it with everyone you know,
because this is the story that has to be told,
because if it isn't, there's no doubt the Democrats will
win an election day. The Department of Justice has now
launched a federal civil rights investigation to Fairfax County Commonwealth
(18:20):
Attorney Steve Descano. Now you need to remember that name.
This is one of the prized Soros DA's and now
what we're learning is a Fairfax County DA did everything
they could do to protect illegal immigrants. The allegations are
(18:41):
truly explosive. Federal investigators now say they're examining whether one
of the most powerful progressive prosecutors in Virginia was deliberately
giving preferential treatment to i legal immigrants accused of violent
crimes against American citizens, and the victims, well, you guessed it,
(19:01):
they were left behind. Now, this is the DOJ's Civil
Rights Division that's stepping in and saying they want to
determine whether the man's office violated federal law by allegedly
offering preferential treatment only to illegal alien criminal defendants. I'm
going to say that again an activist DA and the
(19:22):
Civil Rights Division is now looking into Scano's office saying,
it looks like you were only offering preferential treatment to
illegal immigrants non American citizens if you are a criminal defendant.
This is what happens when you allow activist das to
take over. And this is exactly what the Democrats and
(19:44):
George Soros wanted and what they paid for. Now let
me go into exactly what's being alleged here. The Justice
Department is saying that in Fairfax County, it was pretty
clear that those that had illegal immigrants status who committed
crimes and they were defendants, were given preferential treatment. The
(20:07):
DOJ goes on to say it is specifically investigating plea bargains.
That's how they were hooking up the illegal immigrants charging
decisions as well and sentencing recommendations coming out of Descano's
office at the center of the controversy, as a policy
reportedly adopted in twenty twenty directing prosecutors to consider the
(20:30):
quote immigration consequences that defendants could face, including deportation, when
deciding how aggressively to prosecute cases. So to be clear,
in translation, you had an office that said, Hey, if
you're an illegal immigrant, we're going to go easier on
you than an American citizen because we don't want you
(20:54):
to be deported. We want to make sure that we
can go easier on you so that it's well easier
for you to stay in the United States of America.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yes, this is absolutely insane, but this.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Is exactly what you should expect from activist das now.
The DOJ also is specifically investigating the plea bargains that
were given as well, saying that they were clearly given
outside the guidelines that other American citizens were having to
play by. So imagine you commit a crime, Imagine you're
an American citizen. Imagine you get years in jail, and
(21:31):
then you find out someone else does the same exact crime.
But they're different because they broke into the United States
of America.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
And when they broke.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
In, well, we didn't want to get them out of
this country. We didn't want to deport them. So instead
we gave them a deal that offered them maybe even
no jail time at all, or a plea bargain that
allowed them to walk free that day while you're in jail.
That is exactly what the Department of Justice is now saying. Now,
let me also be very clear about this as well.
(22:02):
Every defendant deserves constitutional protections, every person deserves due process.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
That's what the DOJ said.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
But the question now being raised by the Department of
Justice whether Fairfax County crossed a massive line from equal
justice under the law into a two tier justice system
that held Americans accountable while allowing illegal immigrants to walk free.
And that is where Americans should become furious, especially at
(22:32):
George Soros and the Democratic Party. If two people commit
the same violent crime, the DJ says, but prosecutors intentionally
go easier on one defendant because they're in the country
illegally and might face deportation. Many Americans hear this and say,
wait a second, how is that fair? To a citizen.
(22:52):
How is that also fair to the victims? The Assistant
Attorney General made the administration's position crystal clear when she's said, quote,
under my leadership, the Civil Rights Division will not allow
local prosecutors to pick and choose winners based on their
immigration status. Now, this is a remarkable statement, by the way,
(23:13):
coming from the federal government. And that's what's making this
story even more politically explosive. Are the violent crimes that
are now being connected to the policies of this activist
da Let me give you an example. One case that
you need to know about is the murder of Stephanie Minterter,
(23:34):
a Virginia woman. She was stabbed to death at a
Fairfax County bus stop earlier this year. The suspect was
reportedly in the country illegally, also had a lengthy criminal history,
including more than thirty arrests. This according to the Department
of Homeland Security information that's been cited in the reports. Now,
(23:56):
they argue that progressive prosecutors and sanctuary style policies repeatedly
allowed this dangerous individual to be arrested more than thirty
times and cycled through the system without meaningful consequences until
the American paid the ultimate price being murdered. Another case,
by the way, that the DOJ is pointing to as well,
(24:19):
that has sparked outrage involved two undocumented migrants that were
convicted in the mob killing of Hernandez Gonzales. They ultimately
received plea agreements that resulted in just five years behind
bars after much of their sentences were suspended. Descano's office
(24:39):
defended the deal by citing evidentiary challenges and witness cooperation issues,
but critics blasted the punishment is absurd and lenient for
such a horrific crime of a mob killing, and those
aren't isolated examples either. The DOJ is reportedly examining whether
it is a broader pattern or even a practice of
(25:02):
his criminatory prosecutor conduct where illegal immigrants always were getting
the deal. Now it's important language legally because it suggests
that federal officials maybe looking beyond one or two controversial
plea deals and asking whether this was an institutional policy altogether. Now, politically,
(25:22):
the story hits directly at one of the biggest national
debates in this country, and that is exactly why Donald
Trump was elected. The President made it clear he was
going to go after the illegal immigrants. Democrats have made
it clear they will protect them at all costs, and
over the last decade we've seen a wave of left
wing prosecutors that have been backed by activist money that
(25:44):
has transformed criminal justice policy in major jurisdictions across the US.
This guy, Steve Disconano, became one of the most recognizable
figures in that movement after winning office in twenty nineteen.
He had substantial support from groups tied to the billionaire
donor George Soros. Now, the philosophy behind many of these
(26:05):
prosecutors focus on reducing incarceration, eliminating cash bell, lowering penalties
for certain crimes, and emphasizing quote alternatives to prosecution. Supporters
they called it reform. Critics they called it anarchy, and
it was surrendering and bowing down to the criminals. Well,
(26:27):
now the federal government is effectively saying, did some of
these reforms go so far that prosecutors deliberately were discriminating
against American citizens? That is the heart of the question
of this entire investigation. Now, there's also another major political
wrinkle here, and it comes as Fairfax County officials are
(26:47):
preparing to testify before Congress at a hearing that is
now titled Fairfax County, Virginia The Dangerous Consequences of Sanctuary Policies.
That means that this story is no longer just local
Virginia politics. This is now a national immigration in public
safety fight. Republicans are already framing Fairfax County as a
(27:08):
symbol of what happens when ideology overrides law enforcement. They
argue that local leaders became so obsessed with shielding illegal
immigrants from deportation that they compromise public safety in the
process countless times in Democrats, well, they're firing back, of course,
accusing the Trump DOJ of weaponizing federal power, they say,
(27:31):
against progressive prosecutors for political purpose. Now that's going to
become a major national argument moving forward, and this will
be a national story. But politically, the optics here are
devastating for the Democrats because the DOJ didn't open this
investigation over parking tickets or minor prosecutor disagreements. They opened
(27:53):
it over allegations involving violent criminals, homicide cases, assault out delegations,
and questions about whether prosecutors intentionally deliberately reduced immigration consequences
for illegal immigrants accused of major and serious crimes, including murder. Now,
(28:15):
for millions of Americans listening to this right now, it's
a simple story. Why honors should immigrants and immigration status
ever result in lighter treatment for violent offenders just because
you're here illegally? Why should American citizens believe the justice
system treats them equally if prosecutors deliberately are instructed to
(28:38):
weigh deportation concerns before seeking punishment for crimes have been committed.
And perhaps more importantly than that, how many tragedies could
have been prevented if dangerous repeat offenders have been prosecuted
the way the law said they should have been prosecuted
from the very start, or, in other words, there's the
(28:59):
way that an American citizens would have been prosecuted from
the very beginning. Now, Democrats are going to fight back.
They're going to say that these policies were fair and
legal and reflect the values of their community. It doesn't
mean that you get to give preferential treatment to illegal immigrants,
which brings us back to this. The DOJ ultimately concluded
(29:22):
that immigration status was used to systematically alter prosecutoral decisions
in a discriminatory way against every American citizen. Now, this
case could easily become one of the most consequential legal
and political fights over immigration and criminal justice in decades.
(29:43):
And really, this is why Americans need to pay attention,
because what the Trump administration is doing now is saying
that Americans shouldn't be put behind illegal immigrants ever, and
certainly illegal immigrants shouldn't be able to get away from
justice because some woke activists. Democrat Krad says, we don't
want them to be deported. Make sure you share this
