That is exactly what the President of the United States
of America is announcing now when it comes to dealing
with Iran. And the major story today is that Trump
administration has now officially reimposed US oil sanctions on Iran,
revoking the temporary waiver that had allowed Iranian oil sales
under last month's Memorandum of Understanding. The decision came after

what the administration described as Iran violating the conditions of
that agreement by launching new attacks against commercial shipping near
the Strait of Hormuz. That is obviously one of the
most strategically important waterways in the world, and we're about
a third of the world's oil goes through each and
every day under normal conditions. As this was announced, here's

We think two have been struck. It might be more,
but we'll hang on. We'll hang on to two for
the moment. A tanker struck by an unknown projectile trying

Vessels are being advised to transit with caution. Meanwhile, from
Fox Business, they've obtained audio of an Iranian threatening the
ships in the Strait. And here is how that sounded
in English.

but also the attacks on the ships. And that is
why the President has officially revoked the US license allowing

him hitting back hard after them. Willis attacked those vessels.
No more playing games and as he described it, maximum
pressure is coming back now. According to the reports, multiple

commercial vessels, including oil and liquid natural gas tankers, were
attacked near the Strait over the last twenty four hours.
These incidentss immediately raised fears that Iran was once again
threatening one of the world's busiest energy checkpoints.

The administration responded swiftly, saying the sanctions relief was always
quote performance based, and then Iran had failed to uphold
its endo the agreement. This is exactly what President Trump
warned would happen, and his administration has consistently argued that
America would negotiate from strength, not from weakness, and that

any sanctioned relief would disappear the moment Iran resumed threatening
international commerce or regional stability. Those are the President's exact words.
So this move is a clear signal that the White
House intends to enforce that promise. Now, before I get

All right, so let's get back to the broader picture here.
It was only weeks ago that many believed we were
with one of the biggest diplomatic breakthroughs in years, and
after months of military conflict, the White House and the
President were hoping that not only could they reach a
memo designed to stop the fighting, but it was also
to reopen the straight offur moves and begin negotiations over
(05:16):
RAN's nuclear program and then also their regional activities, their
sponsorship of terrorism. Now, part of that agreement eased restrictions
on Iranian oil exports in exchange for specific commitments from Tehran. Now,
that agreement was never unconditional, even though the media tried
(05:38):
to play it up that way. Again, it was never unconditional.
The Trump administration has repeatedly described it as a conditional
performance based arrangement. In other words, Iran behaves or they
receive no economic relief. Iran then violate the agreement, and
(05:58):
they immediately have now lost the benefits, which is what
the Trump administration said was going to happen. Now, the
administration also says the attacks against shipping across the region
is a red line.

They knew that in Iran.

It was explicitly stated by multiple people in the Trump administration,
so it should come as no surprise as the Iranian
crew to exports once again face US restrictions. This is
what the present said was going to happen, and he
did not flinch. Now, all prices have also surged after

the sanctions announcement and reports of new attacks in the Strait.
Traders once again are pricing in the geopolitical risk because
roughly again one fifth of the world's seaborne oil has
historically moved through the narrow Waterway. Even the possibility of
renewed disruptions affect energy markets worldwide. Shipping companies, by the way,

they're also responding at this hour. Maritime security organizations have
also raise the threat level for vessels operating in the area.
Insurers are reevaluating the risk of commercial traffic moving through
the Strait as well. And this is why the Strait
matters so much. It's not just about a RAN, It's
not just about the Middle East. It's also, by the way,

not just about gasoline prices. It's not just about supply
chain issues. It also affects your life and the financial markets.
Whenever there's instability in that region, we see the ripple
effects and we see it at our gas pumps. Right now,
when you go out to get gas. So the big
question now is whether these sanctions are signaling the collapse

of diplomacy or simply a return to maximum pressure before
negotiations continue. I wish I could answer that question, tell
you which one I think it is. I don't think
anyone knows right now.

Interestingly enough, the administration officials are making clear that the
talks are quote not necessarily over the reports coming out
of the White House. They say they still believe a
broader agreement as possible, but only if Iran changes course
and ends the attacks on international shipping. That has been
one of President Trump's negotiating trademarks throughout both of his presidency.

You apply enormous economic pressure, We've seen this with sanction
deals by the way that we're being done around the world,
and we keep the military options on the table at
the same time, then you'll leave the diplomatic door wide open.
You reward compliance, you punish violations not down the road,
but immediately. And today's sanctions they fit squarely within the

president strategy, which if anyone is negotiating with his president,
it should not be hard to figure out what the
president is actually saying. What the president is actually advocating
for what the President of United States of America is doing.
Like there is no guessing needed here. It is obvious
what the President is telling you you have to do.
It's literally in writing. So this is a violation. It
(08:58):
is going to carry consequences. Some say it is going
to be a significant amount of consequences. We don't know
for sure yet what's going to happen, but this is
certainly a moment where the President believes that maximum pressure
is on the table and he's not going to be
screwed with by Iran sending yet again another message this
president means business. All right, I want to get you

an update on where we are with Graham Platner. Democrats
are now demanding that Graham get out of the race
before the thirteenth. That is the deadline for him to
get out of the race so they can add a
new name to the ballot. If he doesn't do it
by then, well there's a bigger problem because clearly he's

a disaster and they know he's going to lose, especially
in a lot of all the new allegations that have
come forward.

I endorse Graham Platner because I know he's a fighter
on behalf of working families and because he doesn't take
any corporate pack money. And we need more people in
Washington who are less about go along to get along

and more about fighting to make the kind of changes
that families need. And I want you to listen to,
Elizabeth Warren said about Platner on April eighteenth. Here, give

that's my kind of man, because that is a man

who not only has the values, but a man who
believes in accountability, and we need a little accountability coming

come in and get rid of the corruption in Washington.

Maine Senate if Platner remains on the ballot. Bernie Sanders

I have spoken with Graham Plattner about the best path
forward for Maine in light of these very serious allegations.
I have recommended that he step aside. How about Reuben
Diego quote The allegations against Graham Plattner are troubling and
deeply serious. I am rescinding him endorsement. How about Tim
Waltz quote, The allegations of sexual assault against Graham Plattner

for a candidate that can defeat Susan Collins in November.
How about Elizabeth Warren quote? Now, more than ever, we
need leaders in Washington to reflect our values. There could
be no tolerance for sexual assault. Working families are counting

unrigular economy and hold Donald Trump accountable. With so much

at stake, best path forward is for Graham Plattner to
step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious

House has been among Platner's most constant supporters among lawmakers
in the US Senate, calling the controversial candidate quote wonderfully appealing.

What else did he say? White House said, quote, He's
off to a really strong start and has a wonderfully
appealing local background and story. Just last month, white House

seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the only
one who had anything to say that seemed unsettling was
a woman who works for right wing political operations. Apparently,
in Democrat worlds, you can sexually harass, you can assault

Republican women, and they don't count as women. So apparently
that's just by the way.

and the debate that sort of happened in the Democratic
Party after this, the series of allegations around Graham Plattner.
Part of I think what made it complicated for some
Democrats to fully believe the woman who's at the center
of the last round was that she was associated with
right wing politics. But this woman, she I want to

she says to Politico, I didn't come forward sooner was
the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics.
So she is saying, I actually agree with Graham Plattner,
his positions, his politics. She's clearly more on the left,
but not supporting him as a person. I just want
the truth out there. I just want people to have
a whole scope of who he is as a person.

So to be clear, the only women that Democrats will
actually believe are radical lefties, and only when they've gotten
their marching orders to come out and accuse of candidate
that they believe is going to lose of something. This
is very much like Eric Swawell in California, and then
we will say, okay, fine, you must drop out. John
Fetterman the only Democrat out there who actually is calling

out Democrats for their hypocrisy. He said this on Fox
News Channel about Bernie Sanders.

Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing
this kind of predator more than anyone. He helped him
elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't

know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
you know like p Hustle. Now he has been incredibly
accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that was
only less than five years ago.

Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
basically reviewing his options.

Now you listen to that from Fetterman, and what you
learn is this the Democratic Party is not doing the
right thing here. They're just trying to win a seat.
Their moral compass is literally only what the polling data shows.
Then if you don't believe me, let me give you
this fact. New audio has surfaced in another race. It

is now audio that contradicts Abdul l Shaide's claim that
he never backed the radical identity politics of defunding the police. Yes,
that far left Muslim Michigan Senate candidate is now facing
renewed scrutiny after this new audio showed him explicitly supporting
efforts to defund the police departments completely. Now, in his
(23:49):
previous interviews, Alseaeid had denied ever calling to defund the police,
arguing that his old social media posts work just misrepresented
after a course being taken out of context. But now
a recording from just twenty twenty tells a very different story.
In one interview from June twenty twenty, il say he'd
(24:10):
said he believed police funding should be reduced while more
taxpayer dollars should be directed towards schools, mental health services,
and of course anti poverty programs, because remember, this is
how you justify defunding the police. Alseeed said this as well.
We are in a moment when a lot of our
public conversation gets chewed down into two hundred eighty characters

or less, and that is not the best way to
talk about anything. So you'll note I didn't say defund
the police. I just described what needed to be done.
And I do think we need to be really focused
on describing or explaining rather than sort of hedging on
one side or the other behind a quote hashtag. He
then said, defunding the police is disinvesting in the means

of incarcerating someone or killing them on the streets, investing
more in the means of educating and empowering and engaging
communities with the means of being able to take on
systemic poverty that we've allowed to fester in too many communities.
Now again, these comments originally came out in twenty twenty,

right as the quote defund the police movement was picking
up major steam after the death of George Floyd. Alseed's
campaign now has to admit, and they have admitted that
his views have quote changed since then. So instead of
just straight applying to you saying I never said it,
they're now saying, well, maybe he did say it, but

well he didn't really mean it. Now the issue is
coming up again because Elseed is currently leading the Democratic
primary for Michigan's top Us Senate seat. The new polls
that have come out earlier this May showed him out
in a twenty eight point lead.

Getting people that are actually looking at what he believes in,
and he is another radical communists. Now this is again
the Democratic Party. This is the candidates they keep choosing.

doesn't matter if they've abused women, It doesn't matter if
they lie about anything in their past. As long as

they think they can win. It doesn't matter if you've

That is exactly what the President of the United States
of America is announcing now when it comes to dealing
with Iran. And the major story today is that Trump
administration has now officially reimposed US oil sanctions on Iran,
revoking the temporary waiver that had allowed Iranian oil sales
under last month's Memorandum of Understanding. The decision came after
(00:24):
what the administration described as Iran violating the conditions of
that agreement by launching new attacks against commercial shipping near
the Strait of Hormuz. That is obviously one of the
most strategically important waterways in the world, and we're about
a third of the world's oil goes through each and
every day under normal conditions. As this was announced, here's
(00:47):
how Fox News had it for the world.

Yet again, another reported tanker strike in the Strait of Hormuz.
We think two have been struck. It might be more,
but we'll hang on. We'll hang on to two for
the moment. A tanker struck by an unknown projectile trying
to transit the straight of horror moves. Apparently another one
made a U turn and turned around. No casualties reported.

Vessels are being advised to transit with caution. Meanwhile, from
Fox Business, they've obtained audio of an Iranian threatening the
ships in the Strait. And here is how that sounded
in English.

Now. The President clearly was responding to not only that,
but also the attacks on the ships. And that is
why the President has officially revoked the US license allowing
a Rand to sell its oil. This is it's clearly
him hitting back hard after them. Willis attacked those vessels.
No more playing games and as he described it, maximum
pressure is coming back now. According to the reports, multiple

commercial vessels, including oil and liquid natural gas tankers, were
attacked near the Strait over the last twenty four hours.
These incidentss immediately raised fears that Iran was once again
threatening one of the world's busiest energy checkpoints.

And then you hear the audio they just played for you.

The administration responded swiftly, saying the sanctions relief was always
quote performance based, and then Iran had failed to uphold
its endo the agreement. This is exactly what President Trump
warned would happen, and his administration has consistently argued that
America would negotiate from strength, not from weakness, and that

any sanctioned relief would disappear the moment Iran resumed threatening
international commerce or regional stability. Those are the President's exact words.
So this move is a clear signal that the White
House intends to enforce that promise. Now, before I get
to more of the logistics of this, I also want

All right, so let's get back to the broader picture here.
It was only weeks ago that many believed we were
with one of the biggest diplomatic breakthroughs in years, and
after months of military conflict, the White House and the
President were hoping that not only could they reach a
memo designed to stop the fighting, but it was also
to reopen the straight offur moves and begin negotiations over
(05:16):
RAN's nuclear program and then also their regional activities, their
sponsorship of terrorism. Now, part of that agreement eased restrictions
on Iranian oil exports in exchange for specific commitments from Tehran. Now,
that agreement was never unconditional, even though the media tried
(05:38):
to play it up that way. Again, it was never unconditional.
The Trump administration has repeatedly described it as a conditional
performance based arrangement. In other words, Iran behaves or they
receive no economic relief. Iran then violate the agreement, and
(05:58):
they immediately have now lost the benefits, which is what
the Trump administration said was going to happen. Now, the
administration also says the attacks against shipping across the region
is a red line.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
They knew that in Iran.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
It was explicitly stated by multiple people in the Trump administration,
so it should come as no surprise as the Iranian
crew to exports once again face US restrictions. This is
what the present said was going to happen, and he
did not flinch. Now, all prices have also surged after
(06:32):
the sanctions announcement and reports of new attacks in the Strait.
Traders once again are pricing in the geopolitical risk because
roughly again one fifth of the world's seaborne oil has
historically moved through the narrow Waterway. Even the possibility of
renewed disruptions affect energy markets worldwide. Shipping companies, by the way,
(06:55):
they're also responding at this hour. Maritime security organizations have
also raise the threat level for vessels operating in the area.
Insurers are reevaluating the risk of commercial traffic moving through
the Strait as well. And this is why the Strait
matters so much. It's not just about a RAN, It's
not just about the Middle East. It's also, by the way,
(07:16):
not just about gasoline prices. It's not just about supply
chain issues. It also affects your life and the financial markets.
Whenever there's instability in that region, we see the ripple
effects and we see it at our gas pumps. Right now,
when you go out to get gas. So the big
question now is whether these sanctions are signaling the collapse
(07:37):
of diplomacy or simply a return to maximum pressure before
negotiations continue. I wish I could answer that question, tell
you which one I think it is. I don't think
anyone knows right now.

Interestingly enough, the administration officials are making clear that the
talks are quote not necessarily over the reports coming out
of the White House. They say they still believe a
broader agreement as possible, but only if Iran changes course
and ends the attacks on international shipping. That has been
one of President Trump's negotiating trademarks throughout both of his presidency.
(08:13):
You apply enormous economic pressure, We've seen this with sanction
deals by the way that we're being done around the world,
and we keep the military options on the table at
the same time, then you'll leave the diplomatic door wide open.
You reward compliance, you punish violations not down the road,
but immediately. And today's sanctions they fit squarely within the
(08:34):
president strategy, which if anyone is negotiating with his president,
it should not be hard to figure out what the
president is actually saying. What the president is actually advocating
for what the President of United States of America is doing.
Like there is no guessing needed here. It is obvious
what the President is telling you you have to do.
It's literally in writing. So this is a violation. It
(08:58):
is going to carry consequences. Some say it is going
to be a significant amount of consequences. We don't know
for sure yet what's going to happen, but this is
certainly a moment where the President believes that maximum pressure
is on the table and he's not going to be
screwed with by Iran sending yet again another message this
president means business. All right, I want to get you
(09:22):
an update on where we are with Graham Platner. Democrats
are now demanding that Graham get out of the race
before the thirteenth. That is the deadline for him to
get out of the race so they can add a
new name to the ballot. If he doesn't do it
by then, well there's a bigger problem because clearly he's
(09:42):
a disaster and they know he's going to lose, especially
in a lot of all the new allegations that have
come forward.

So what actually happens next?

Senator Cruz joins me to talk about exactly what this
means for the Senate, why Democrats are so involved in
this race, and how it could actually deal with the
balance of power in the Senate. Here's what Senata Cruz

this week. It'll be by the thirteenth. They'll replace him.
And understand, look for Democrats in Congress, the fact that
the guy had a Nazi tattoo on his chest. That
that was not disqualifying. They were happy to support him.
And not just an Nazi tattoo, a totin comp the

symbol of the SS at the death squads in World
War II, that's what he had tattooed on his chest.
Democrats just fine with that. The fact that he self
described himself as a communist, they had no problem with
that at all. The fact that he described that he
would have masturbation fantasies in porta potties, which is just weird.

I mean, I mean, I mean, it's just that that's
a very odd dynamic. That didn't scare any of them away.

The fact that he.

Had a prior girlfriend accuse him of being emotionally, verbally abusive,
that didn't scare him away. The fact that he used
repeated racist insults attacked African Americans. Democrats were just fine
with that. The fact that he was a vicious misogynist,

he attacked a decorated combat veteran, Yeah, and he said

he wished that the veteran had died. Well, the Democrats
were just hunky dory with that.

I personally think he is an excellent candidate. I'm going
to support him and I look forward to him becase
coming the next senator in the state of Maine. Reuben

campaign to retire Susan Collins. Let's go win this thing
that was in April Elizabeth Warren. All right, this is
one of my favorite Elizabeth Warren. Boy, she was all in,
understand progressive, powerful advocate for equality. What nonsense. Okay, So
here's what Elizabeth Warren says. Quote He's a combat veteran,

an oyster farmer, and has inspired people with his populist
agenda for a government on the side of working families,
not the billionaires and giant corporations. She also said, quote
I endorse Graham Platner because I know he's a fighter
on behalf of working families and because he doesn't take
any corporate pack money. And we need more people in
Washington who are less about go along to get along

and more about fighting to make the kind of changes
that families need. And I want you to listen to,
Elizabeth Warren said about Platner on April eighteenth. Here, give
a listen.

I am here because Washington needs fighters, and Graham Platner
is the fighter we need. You bet, I said to myself,
that's my kind of man, because that is a man

who not only has the values, but a man who
believes in accountability, and we need a little accountability coming
out of Washington right now. We need gram Platner to
come in and get rid of the corruption in Washington.

Time for new lawson, get rid of that corruption center
in Washington. I mean, it's just that simple, right you
just say a man's a good man, forget all the
red flags, and you just make sure that no one
ever knows even happened.

now called on Platner to drop out. So Chuck Schumer tonight,
he and Kirsten Jillibrand put out a statement quote, the
allegations reported today are incredibly disturbing. Violence, abuse, and sexual
assault are absolutely unacceptable. The DSCC will not invest in
Maine Senate if Platner remains on the ballot. Bernie Sanders

I have spoken with Graham Plattner about the best path
forward for Maine in light of these very serious allegations.
I have recommended that he step aside. How about Reuben
Diego quote The allegations against Graham Plattner are troubling and
deeply serious. I am rescinding him endorsement. How about Tim
Waltz quote, The allegations of sexual assault against Graham Plattner

are deeply disturbing. He should drop out and make way
for a candidate that can defeat Susan Collins in November.
How about Elizabeth Warren quote? Now, more than ever, we
need leaders in Washington to reflect our values. There could
be no tolerance for sexual assault. Working families are counting
on Democrats to win the Senate election in Maine, the
unrigular economy and hold Donald Trump accountable. With so much

at stake, best path forward is for Graham Plattner to
step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious
allegations outside the Senate race. Now among other hypocrites, and
I won't necessarily go through all their quotes. Rocanna happy
to stand with Graham Plattner with all these allegations. Chris
Van Holland. Well, when he was asked about the Nazi stuff,

the misogynist stuff, the racist stuff, Chris van Holland said, quote,
people should have second chances. Sheldon white House, What did
Sheldon white House say? Hears a quote from Politico. White
House has been among Platner's most constant supporters among lawmakers
in the US Senate, calling the controversial candidate quote wonderfully appealing.

Sheldon white House Nazi, communist, misogynist, racist, oyster farmer, wonderfully appealing.
What else did he say? White House said, quote, He's
off to a really strong start and has a wonderfully
appealing local background and story. Just last month, white House
dismissed a New York Times report quoting women who accused

Platner a quote intimidating and disturbing behavior. White House said, quote,
seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the only
one who had anything to say that seemed unsettling was
a woman who works for right wing political operations. Apparently,
in Democrat worlds, you can sexually harass, you can assault

Republican women, and they don't count as women. So apparently
that's just by the way.

What happened in the Democrats, mantra believe all women. I
just wanted. When did that get thrown out? When it
comes to squallwell, and it was always a lie. It
was always a lie.

These are the same people that defended Bill Clinton over
and over and over again, that launched Remember Hillary Clinton
launched the smear campaigns on every woman that came forward
with allegations against Bill Clinton was never true. Zo Ron

Morris Cats, his press secretary Joekovello, played leading roles in

said on June tenth, not very long ago. Quote, do
I want Graham Plattner to win this race? Effolutely? Although

different reasons. He's great on message. What kind of lunatic

thinks this guy is is great on message? Now are
we today? Every one I've gone through has said, okay,
time to get out, Time to get out, time to
get out. Except let me tell you one knucklehead, who
do you think is right now? The lone knucklehead who
said he doesn't want Graham platter to drop out.

I would have guessed if I didn't know better, I
would have said Bernie Sanders. But he's even said it now. Well,
we got a serious reservation. YadA, YadA, YadA. So give

Stephen King really Maine. He lives in Maine, left wing radical,
filled with hate. Here's what he put out Tuesday night. Quote,
Graham Plattner may drop out. I hope he doesn't. But meanwhile,

Stephen King is the one guy that says, give me
a Nazi, communist, racist, misogynist, alleged rapist, and I'm good
with him. Why because Susan Collins and Stephen King's world
is way too conservative for him.

Democrats are turning quickly on Grand Platiner, not because of
the latest accuser, but because they realize he can't win.
The polling data is now showing that he is a
lame duck candidate. And now Democrats do what they do well,

of MSNBC. They are suggesting that Platner's the latest accuser
is somehow quote more reliable because his other accuser, well,
it was associated with right wing politics.

So because they say that she's now this woman is
a liberal, I guess you can believe her so much.
For a party that said literally believe all women, well
apparently unless you're a Republican, you got it.

That comment about this sort of posts me to era
and the debate that sort of happened in the Democratic
Party after this, the series of allegations around Graham Plattner.
Part of I think what made it complicated for some
Democrats to fully believe the woman who's at the center
of the last round was that she was associated with
right wing politics. But this woman, she I want to

read part of what's out here. One of the reasons,
she says to Politico, I didn't come forward sooner was
the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics.
So she is saying, I actually agree with Graham Plattner,
his positions, his politics. She's clearly more on the left,
but not supporting him as a person. I just want
the truth out there. I just want people to have
a whole scope of who he is as a person.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
So to be clear, the only women that Democrats will
actually believe are radical lefties, and only when they've gotten
their marching orders to come out and accuse of candidate
that they believe is going to lose of something. This
is very much like Eric Swawell in California, and then
we will say, okay, fine, you must drop out. John
Fetterman the only Democrat out there who actually is calling
(22:07):
out Democrats for their hypocrisy. He said this on Fox
News Channel about Bernie Sanders.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing
this kind of predator more than anyone. He helped him
elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't
(22:35):
know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
you know like p Hustle. Now he has been incredibly
accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that was
only less than five years ago.

Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
basically reviewing his options.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
He's obviously going to drop out. Correct.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Now you listen to that from Fetterman, and what you
learn is this the Democratic Party is not doing the
right thing here. They're just trying to win a seat.
Their moral compass is literally only what the polling data shows.
Then if you don't believe me, let me give you
this fact. New audio has surfaced in another race. It
(23:26):
is now audio that contradicts Abdul l Shaide's claim that
he never backed the radical identity politics of defunding the police. Yes,
that far left Muslim Michigan Senate candidate is now facing
renewed scrutiny after this new audio showed him explicitly supporting
efforts to defund the police departments completely. Now, in his
(23:49):
previous interviews, Alseaeid had denied ever calling to defund the police,
arguing that his old social media posts work just misrepresented
after a course being taken out of context. But now
a recording from just twenty twenty tells a very different story.
In one interview from June twenty twenty, il say he'd
(24:10):
said he believed police funding should be reduced while more
taxpayer dollars should be directed towards schools, mental health services,
and of course anti poverty programs, because remember, this is
how you justify defunding the police. Alseeed said this as well.
We are in a moment when a lot of our
public conversation gets chewed down into two hundred eighty characters
(24:33):
or less, and that is not the best way to
talk about anything. So you'll note I didn't say defund
the police. I just described what needed to be done.
And I do think we need to be really focused
on describing or explaining rather than sort of hedging on
one side or the other behind a quote hashtag. He
then said, defunding the police is disinvesting in the means
(24:56):
of incarcerating someone or killing them on the streets, investing
more in the means of educating and empowering and engaging
communities with the means of being able to take on
systemic poverty that we've allowed to fester in too many communities.
Now again, these comments originally came out in twenty twenty,
(25:16):
right as the quote defund the police movement was picking
up major steam after the death of George Floyd. Alseed's
campaign now has to admit, and they have admitted that
his views have quote changed since then. So instead of
just straight applying to you saying I never said it,
they're now saying, well, maybe he did say it, but
(25:37):
well he didn't really mean it. Now the issue is
coming up again because Elseed is currently leading the Democratic
primary for Michigan's top Us Senate seat. The new polls
that have come out earlier this May showed him out
in a twenty eight point lead.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Yeah that's big, so Alseed, Well, now he's.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Getting people that are actually looking at what he believes in,
and he is another radical communists. Now this is again
the Democratic Party. This is the candidates they keep choosing.
It doesn't matter if they lie to your face. It
doesn't matter if they've abused women, It doesn't matter if
they lie about anything in their past. As long as

they think they can win. It doesn't matter if you've
abused women, hit them, rape them, it doesn't matter. This
is the Democratic Party. Win it all costs. But if
the pulling data changes, well they'll excommunicate you as fast
