Speaker 1 (00:01):
The suspect in the January twenty twenty one US Capital
pipe bomb case has finally been arrested. And the question
you're probably asking yourself is why did it take so long? Well,
the manicus of playing that pipe bomb near the US
Capitol the day before the January sixth, twenty twenty one
(00:21):
protests has been arrested in Virginia. Officials with the FBI
arrested the suspect early Thursday, citing law enforcement sources saying
the suspect's name is Brian Cole. That according to two
sources to Fox News, the pipe bombs are placed near
the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters over sixteen hours
(00:44):
before authorities even located them. A bomb squad detonated the
pipe bomb found at the Republican National Committee. A suspicious
package was also found at the Democratic National Committee's offices.
The report comes as supporters of President Trump stormed the
US Capital to protest the Congressional Electoral College vote to
(01:07):
certify the twenty twenty presidential election results for then President
elect Joe Biden. That is how the news covered this.
I'm not joking more than even the pipe bomb. The
exact words of NBC News. The arrests mark a breakthrough
in a case that is stymied investigators for nearly five years.
(01:28):
Or maybe they just didn't care and look the other way.
Here's how Local News reported on this. But first, I
want to tell you about our friends over Patriot Mobile.
Every so often, something happens that reminds us just how
fragile our freedoms are. We can't afford to take our
rights for granted. We must draw a line in the sand,
(01:50):
and our friends at Patriot Mobile have been doing just
that for more than twelve years. The truth is there
is only one provider that boldly stands in the app
for Americans who believe freedom is we're fighting for, and
that company is Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading
the red economy, they're also outpacing the competition and technology.
(02:11):
Patriot Mobile is one of the only carriers offering premium
access to all three major US networks, giving you nationwide
coverage and service that you can count on day after day.
They also offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming,
internet backup, and so much more, and switching has never
(02:33):
been easier. You can activate in minutes on your phone
from your home or your office and you keep your
same number. You've got now keep your same phone or
upgrade to a new one. And this is where the
magic happens. Every month, about five percent of your bill
is given back to conservative causes at no extra cost
to you that stand up for our First and our
(02:54):
Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children, and are
wounded warriors and those that have fought for a country
and wear a badge. So take a stand today and
make a difference with every call you make. Patriot mobile

Use the promo code ferguson for a free month of

service as well. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or
nine seven to two Patriot, and make the switch and
make a difference with every call you make. Take a
listen to the local Fox affiliate telling the news about
the arrest.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
News Now and arrest and then their five year hunt
for the man accused of placing pipe bombs near the
DC offices for the Democratic and Republican National Committees. We
covered this story extensively over the years. He was captured
this morning. That suspect in our very own Melanie Alwicks.
She's been following the investigation since it started. Mel what
(03:52):
can you tell us about this breaking news.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Well, first of all, we should make it clear that
this information is based on a law enforcement source that
spoke to the Associated Press. We do not have official
confirmation on this directly from the FBI at this point.
But you know, this investigation has been going on for
five years. It recently gained a lot of new attention,
(04:16):
new eyes, new steam from social media, a lot of
people talking about this because of new video, new information
that the FBI put out in October of this year.
Let's show you that video and again talk about some
of the additional details that we had not learned before.
A detailed description revealing the suspect is about five foot seven,
(04:37):
was wearing a face mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and
black gloves. The suspect used a backpack to transport the devices,
and a lot of attention to this wearing distinctive Nike
Airmac Speed turf shoes which are black and gray with
the yellow Nike logo, and the FBI said fewer than
twenty five thousand of these shoes were sold between August
of twenty eighteen and January of twenty twenty one, so
(04:59):
that really help them narrow down the field. Now, the
first pipe bomb was placed outside the Democratic National Committee
headquarters at seven fifty four pm on the evening of
January fifth, twenty twenty one. The suspect is seen on
surveillance cameras walking along North Capitol Street, North Carolina Avenue,
and Second Street before eventually walking past the Republican National
(05:20):
Committee headquarters at eight eighteen pm. The FBI says the
second pipe bomb was placed sometime after that, but the
suspect was not directly seen on video with the second
pipe bomb placing. Now, nobody was hurt. The FBI said
that these pipe bombs were rendered safe, but they certainly
could both have been lethal. There was a five hundred
thousand dollars reward offered for information leading to an arrest
(05:43):
and conviction in this case, and we do expect to
learn more later today.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Now you can hear how the media is even shocked,
and I play for you the local media sometimes just
to prove the point of what this should sound like.
And the media is obviously asking questions like why did
it so long and how did it now happen? With
Republicans in charge, people like Dan Bongino and the FBI
(06:09):
Director Cash Ptel and President Donald Trump, were they purposely
deliberately looking the other way. Dan Bongino coming out and
saying this at the press conference about it, take a listen.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Thank you all for being here for this critical investigation
we've been working on for a very long time. We
deeply appreciate it. Thank you for the kind words, Attorney
General and Director. I appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Folks.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
This is what it's like when you work for a
president who tells you to go get the bad guys
and stop focusing on other extraneous things not related to
law enforcement. This is what happens. We had a great team.
I know it's said a lot in this business. It
was a team effort. Becomes cliche, but cliches are useful
for a reason because they matter, and this was a
team effort. The Director and the Attorney General emphasized that
(06:55):
it was not a new public tip.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
This came from.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
This was our internal work at the FBI, and I
want to just really express my sincere gratitude to this
Attorney General and this president for allowing.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
Us the latitude.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
I spoke with Miss Bondi very early when we maybe
day two, and I said we're going to get this guy,
and she said, as you are, and we did. I
want also thank you, not here, but Deputy Attorney General
Todd Blanche, who we deal with often as well, who
could not have been more supportive whatever process we need,
Judge Janine Todd and an Attorney General Bondi, they were there.
(07:32):
All you had to do. They were a phone call
away and their team was amazing. We actually never had
to make that phone call because they were always responsive.
Thank you, Judge, as while you were amazing folks, You're
not going to walk into our capital city, put down
two explosive devices and walk off in the sunset. Not
going to happen. We were going to track this person
(07:54):
to the end of the earth. There was no way
he was getting away. Well we didn't have to track
him to the end of the earth. That wound up
in Woodbridge, Virginia. I want to thank the team. They
were amazing. They never let this go again. Attorney General
Bondi for your incredible support. Director Patel, Judge, I know
they're giving me a lot of unnecessary credit, but make
(08:16):
no mistake, they were intimately involved in this and were
there for all of those supportive mechanisms, and I deeply
appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
You listen to Dan Bongino and what he had to say.
He's telling you, if you're a criminal, things are different.
There's a new sheriff in town, there's literally a new president,
there's new leadership in cash Pattel, and we will go
to the inns the earth, even though we didn't have
to this time to find you, but to say so
clearly that you're not going to come into our nation's
capital and you're not going to put down two bombs
(08:48):
and get away with it, which again brings up the question,
what the hell was the prior administration doing? How did
they not know who the person was? How did they
not go arrest this person at police? Not one but
two pipe bombs explosives internation's capital. This is the question
(09:12):
that every American should be asking. And if they're not
going to get a guy that puts a pipe bomb
in our nation's capital, not once, but twice, who else
were they not arresting? Who else has been out there
committing Hanus crimes and hurting Americans all because the prior
administration refused to do their job. That is what should
(09:34):
make every American angry. Forget politics, This is an issue
of national security. And what you saw from this administration
is they said, hey, we still care about that crime.
We're not going to let this stand. We're going to
find the person. And that's exactly what they've done. He
is the man in charge the FBI, the Attorney General
(09:56):
Pambondi and Judge Janine both standing side by side of
the Department of Justice as they announce the arrest of
the pipe bomb suspect. You have to ask yourself, why
did it take literally years for someone to do their job.
I want you to listen to what Casptel had to
say his words, and again, I played for you first
because I wanted you to understand what the people working
(10:18):
under him feel like when it comes to actually getting
to do their job. You heard it there from Dan Bongino,
But the man in charge of the FBI.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
Listen to what he says.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
When you attack American citizens, when you attack our institutions
of legislation, when you attack our nation's capital, you attack
the very being of our way of life. In this
FBI and this Department of Justice stand here to tell
you that we will always refute it and combat it.
We will provide the safest country the nation has ever
(10:51):
seen under President Trump's leadership here and that's what we
did here today with great resolve on a case of
massive public importance, as it should be. An individual who's
now ledge to have placed multiple explosive devices to blow
up multiple people at multiple officials, innocent civilians, is now arrested.
Thanks to the brave men and women of the FBI
(11:11):
and the Inner Agency. I want to take a moment
to thank the Metropolitan Police Department, the United States Capitol Police,
our brave prosecutors, the Department of Justice, and our leader,
Attorney General Pambondi and US Attorney Janine Piro, whose relentless
work on this case made this possible. As the Attorney
General said, we did not discover any new information. What
(11:33):
we did an investigation spearheaded by the Deputy Director and
the adic of our Washington Field office, brought in a
new team of investigators and experts, re examined every piece
of evidence, sifted through all the data, something that the
prior administration refused and failed to do. As a result
of that, we generated numerous investigative leads, executed multiple legal
(11:56):
process with their US attorney partners.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Let me just hit pause there. Did you notice what
cash Patel said? He said that, in essence, the last
administration didn't even try, didn't even actually work hard on
the leads. Now, if you're if this is some petty
crime and you're saying, hey, I just can't do this
because it's petty and I don't have time and we've
(12:19):
got other major crimes that we're having to figure out, okay,
you could have that conversation.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
You could have that argument.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You could say, look, there's other things like I got
to solve a murder over here that take precedent. That's
not the case. The case here is pretty damn clear.
You have an individual that goes into our nation's capital
and sets down two bombs. They could have killed countless
innocent people. And what did they do under the prior administration?
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Nothing?
Speaker 1 (12:51):
They just stopped caring, or no, let me rephrase that.
It sounds like they didn't care at all. Forget stop caring.
They never even tried, right, they never even tried. And
I think that is the part that is so shocking
here is that it was just like who cares?
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Now? Is that because they knew who he was.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Is that because they didn't have a problem with it
because they set a pipe bomb at the Republican National Committee,
did they not care because they were in theory this
probably would have blown up a bunch of conservatives that
showed up on the you know, January sixth, Nation's capital, right,
and that was maybe the target. So they're like, look, hey,
(13:38):
this was literally a guy targeting Trump's supporters.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
So that's why we're okay with it.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
There's a lot of questions here that should be answered.
Why did our government not accidentally felt deliberately stopped trying
to find someone that did what I just described. That
is the question that everyone should be asking, and that's
(14:05):
the question that everyone should be angry over.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Now.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
I want you to keep listening to the FBI director
and I want you to hear what he has to
say on the second half of this as he's talking
about how frustrated he is, as he should be like
this is if you're in law enforcement, you should be
enraged that you know that law that your government purposely failed.
(14:29):
You deliberately chose to look the other way, deliberately chose
to stop trying to find a individual that put pipe bomps,
and we don't know what the hell else is the
guy did in the meantime. We don't know what he
did in the last three or four years. We have
no idea. Keep listening.
Speaker 6 (14:48):
It's incredible and came to this conclusion today, and that
is why we were able to safely secure this individual
into custody. Remember, we were dealing with an individual who's
alleged to have made bombs. We cannot do this sort
of takedown in haste because it endangers the lives of
law enforcement, and this FBI will never allow the lives
(15:11):
of law enforcement and our prosecutors to be put in jeopardy.
This execution was flawless in terms of teamwork, resilience, and
just a good old fashioned way of police getting the
job done. When you let good cops be cops, this
is what happens. I'm eternally grateful to the team behind me,
to the leadership at the FBI who made this possible.
(15:35):
But I do want to highlight when I introduced the
deputy he made this case and so many others, including
summer heat, his priority to come in here and solve
it for the American people. And today I'm proud to
stay in here before you and say we solved it.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
He will have his day in court.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
The American public and the world will learn even more
information through the legal process. As we have committed under
this Attorney General, we are the most transparent law enforcement
operation in US history. But we are also going to
make sure accountability is delivered to its fullest extent, and
that happens in the courts of law with our US
attorneys and our prosecutors. So we will divulge information when
(16:13):
it is prudent and constitutionally permissible, while upholding the safeguards
of this case to make sure that the people that
this individual intended to victimize get the accountability to deserve,
and most importantly, to deliver in President Trump's promise to
secure our nation's capital and the rest of the cities
in this country, to make sure that Americans are allowed
to go out free and securely in their neighborhoods, and
(16:35):
that people around the world are allowed to visit our
nation's capital, and they now have that trust.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
This should never have become a political thing.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Why is it?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Because Democrats refuse to do what the law says when
it comes to law and order. They pick winners and losers.
If you're one of their favorites, you can commit a
crime and they don't care. The FBI Director Cash Mattel
and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, they are looking at this
(17:08):
and they are furious. It's unprecedented what we have witnessed
and now what we know. It is shocking to realize
just how bad the FBI was run under the prior administration.
The question that I think everyone should be asking is
(17:28):
number one, what did they know? And why did they
not pursue it? Why did they just give up? Why
did they just look the other way. I would even
take it a step further and say, why did they
help this guy stay free for so many years when
he was a threat to society, a threat to all
(17:50):
of us, by the ways, a.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Threat to Democrats.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
When a bomb goes off, it doesn't say are your
Republican or Democrat? It doesn't say who did you vote for?
When a bomb goes off. Let's go back to the
Boston bombing and the marathon. They don't care. It doesn't
care if you're young. It doesn't care if you're old.
It doesn't care if you're black or white. It doesn't
care if you're Democrat. Or Republican. It doesn't care when
(18:16):
the bomb goes off. Innocent people die, and this administration,
for some reason, or I should say the prior administration,
the Biden administration, said no, no, we're going to play politics
because that's more important than anything else, and that is.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Sick as it gets.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
We're getting more information about exactly what happened with the
DC pipe bomber and how he was finally arrested, and
we're also learning the shocking news that there was no
new tip that came in that caused the arrest to happen.
It was actually just information that hadn't been pursued or
information that hadn't been put together with evidence by the
(18:56):
prior administration and the FBI. What we now know is
there's a man that's been charged for planting explosive devices
outside the RNC and the DNC on January the fifth
of twenty twenty one. And the only reason why we
know who he is now is because Donald Trump and
the men and women who put in charge of the
(19:17):
FBI and the DOJ are now able to do their
jobs the right way, which is law enforcement work in
fighting crime. The Attorney General, Pam Bondi putting it this way.
Speaker 7 (19:28):
Early this morning, Brian Cole Junior was arrested and charged
with placing the pipe bombs at the RNC and the
DNC on January fifth, twenty twenty one. He has been
charged with violating eighteen USC. Eight forty four, which is
use of an explosive device. This investigation is ongoing as
(19:52):
we speak, Search warrants are being executed, and there could
be more charges to come. Today's arrest happened because as
the Trump administration has made this case a priority, the
total lack of movement on this case in our nation's
capital undermined the public trust of our enforcement agencies. This
(20:17):
cold case languished for four years until Director Patel and
Deputy Director Bongino came to the FBI. The FBI, along
with US Attorney Piro and all of our prosecutors, have
worked tirelessly for months sifting through evidence that had been
(20:41):
sitting at the FBI with the Biden administration.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
For four long years.
Speaker 7 (20:48):
Let me be clear, there was no new tip, there
was no new witness, just good diligent police work and
prosecutorial work working as a team along with atf Capitol Police,
Metropolitan Police Department, and of course, the FBI, we are
(21:08):
working every day to restore the public's trust. We hope
that today is a significant step towards that progress. We'll
share more information when when we can and when it unfolds.
I cannot stress enough how hard Director Patel and Deputy
Director Bongino have worked for months to make our nation's
(21:33):
capital safer and to make our country safer.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
You listen to Pam Bondi in what she had to
say there, it's truly incredible that there was no new
information that actually led to this arrest. Cash Battel saying
this as well on TV in an interview.
Speaker 8 (21:52):
So there's been some uncertainty, you know, certainly online, so
I don't know what's real and what's not. Sometimes it's
a little hard to follow on and when these devices
were actually planted. Does this arrest crystallize the timeline at
all in terms of, you know, the sequence of events
that's sort of been up in the air again, you know,
especially online.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
It absolutely does.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
And I don't want to get ahead of the Department
of Justice, but you're going to see a crystal clear
timeline and picture in the next twenty four hours when
this individual makes his presentment. And first appearance in court,
and we proceed with the paperwork to his arraignment. That's
where key pieces of information are going to be made
public for the first time, because that's where key pieces
of information legally must be made public for the first time.
(22:32):
And we're not going to disrupt that process because that
would hurt the integrity of investigation and most importantly, would
hurt the integrity of the prosecution that's upcoming.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
You listen to Cash Battel, and what he's saying is
you're getting transparency. He also made it clear and this
is a Cash Betel tweet. When Dan Bond, Geno and
I came to the FBI in March, the pipe bomb
investigation be installed for going on five years. We rebuilt
it from scratch, rerunning every lead, testing every piece of evidence,
(23:02):
bring in top experts, and deploying new technology to engineer
the break that finally nailed the suspect. Today is result
of that outstanding work. We didn't need new evidence, just
new leaders and a new President Trump willing to let
good cops be cops. This goes exactly back to that principle.
(23:25):
The President of United States of America chose people to
put in positions of power that understand exactly what they
needed to do, which was go after the bad guys,
arrest them, and make sure that men and women are safe.
And finally, even Judge Janine said the DC pipe bomber
was quiet. She also revealed insight into his low key
(23:48):
personal life, saying, federal authorities say they found bomb making
materials in the suspect's home. The US Attorney for the
District of Columbia, Judge Janine revealing all of this after
it was announced the indictment. Federal authorities arresting that thirty
year old of Virginia Thursday morning, And yet again she
(24:10):
re emphasized this important point that this was after a
nearly five year long pause in essence of the investigation,
involving millions of pieces of data. Now we have him,
and Americans can sleep a little better knowing that the
DC Pipe Bomber is behind bars. Operation Overlord the D

Court handing Donald Trump a massive victory when it comes
to redistricting in Texas, a sweeping legal and political victory
with big implications for the twenty twenty six midterms and
the twenty twenty eight presidential election cycle. Now the left
(26:05):
lost their minds over what Texas was doing with redistricting,
and they decided to sue.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
Well, guess what.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
The Supreme Court delivered a significant victory for not only
the president of the United States of America, but also
for states rights, ruling to affirm the Texas congressional redistricting map.
The decision effectively upholds the state's current district lines, rejecting
efforts to overturn them by the radical left, and giving
(26:34):
Republicans a clear path to maintain and potentially even expand
their political advantage in one of the nation's largest and
fastest growing states, which is extremely important for controlling Congress
and also the White House. Let me talk to you
about the takeaways. Number one, Not only was this a
(26:55):
massive win for Trump in the election strategy, but the
ruling validate it's the same redistricting principles that Trump and
the GOP leaders have defended for years, that state sovereignty,
constitutional authority, and legislature's power to draw maps without federal interference.
The second victory here was GOP's strength in the critical
(27:19):
battleground for the country. The upheld map solidifies not only
Republican advantages in multiple key districts, protecting the gains that
have been made under President Trump's leadership in san the
stage for even stronger conservative performance In twenty twenty six
and twenty twenty eight, the Court rejected the challenge that
(27:40):
could have undone years of GOP progress. By refusing to
strite down the Texas Map, the court shut down a
major legal challenge that could have unraveled Republican leaning districts
across the state. Now this ensures political stability and predictability
and continuity for the next several election cycles. It also
(28:01):
reinforces the constitutional vision the Trumpet champion and what he
ran on. The majority opinion signal strong support for the
constitutional framework Conservatives have been defending states, not Washington bureaucrats
or activist groups control the redistricting. It's also just a
huge momentum boost for Texas Republicans. With the map locked in,
(28:25):
Republican tenets can now run confidently and aggressively, knowing the
courts will not be used to undermine their districts. This
ruling effectively gives a GOP a green light to build
even bigger majorities. And then there's the political impact. Not
only does the strengthen Trump's national influence, but it also
provides again for his judicial legacy in shaping the country.
(28:50):
It also secures Texas as a GOP fortress, which is
extremely important when it comes to presidential election and making
Democrats pick up efforts even harder than before. It also
boosts fundraising and kennet recruitment since the districts are now
stable and also favorable. It eliminates uncertainty that could have
(29:11):
disrupted campaigns heading into the midterms as well that was
part of the Democratic strategy of chaos, and it affirms
conservative legal arguments on separation of powers and states' rights.
The bottom line is the Supreme Court didn't just hand
Texas Republicans a win. It delivered one of the most
consequential redistricting victories of the decade, reinforcing President Trump's long
(29:37):
term political strategy and submitting Conservatives control in the country's
most important red state. This is a massive victory for
President Trump and for the rule of law and states rights.
