Speaker 11 (15:47):
Yes!
Speaker 8 (15:48):
Amy, congrats.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Amy, congrats.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
The game goes on one more way.
Speaker 8 (15:51):
Hey, congratulations, Abby and Lunchbox. Amy saved you.
Speaker 10 (15:54):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
That is true.
Speaker 14 (15:56):
All right.
Speaker 8 (15:57):
Good job.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
That might be the longest game ever. Yeah. All right.
There we have it.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
It's the anonymous inbox.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Anonymous inbox. If there's a question to be.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
Had, send it in to the mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones.
My boyfriend and I have been dating for six years.
I'm ready to get married. My boyfriend says he doesn't
believe in rushing into marriage. What do you take from this? Signed,
ready for a ring. Six years is a long time.
I guess I would also need to know your age,
(16:31):
because if you started dating at 14, that's different.
Speaker 9 (16:34):
Very.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
If you started dating at 25 or more, though, six
years is an adequate time to know if you want
to marry the person or not.
Speaker 9 (16:43):
Yeah. At that point, he can't use the word, I
don't want to rush into it, or the phrase.
Speaker 10 (16:48):
That's no longer valid.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
We're going to say we don't like it. But we
have people on this show that have experienced the same thing.
For example, Eddie was given an ultimatum.
Speaker 12 (16:57):
Let me tell you my story. We'd been dating for
six years. And I thought, ah, we're just having a
good time. Boyfriend, girlfriend, living the best life. And my
wife said, hey, if you're not going to ask me
to marry you, I'm leaving. Like, I'm going to go
start dating other people. And that's the first time I'd
ever thought about asking her to marry me.
Speaker 10 (17:15):
And how old were you at that point?
Speaker 8 (17:17):
Twenty-six?
Speaker 9 (17:19):
Twenty-five?
Speaker 8 (17:20):
Twenty-five.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
It's weird if it's the first time you thought about it.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I was having such a good time.
Speaker 10 (17:25):
He's like, never crossed my mind.
Speaker 12 (17:26):
And it wasn't that I didn't want to marry her.
She was definitely the perfect person to marry. I just
didn't think about marriage.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Raymundo.
Speaker 14 (17:34):
Yeah, Texas state culture where I went to college. None
of my buddies are married now. And our relationship was fine.
It still is fine. Marriage really didn't change it. It
was good for tax purposes. Made my credit score go higher.
Relationship's the exact same. Now, how long, though, were you together?
Speaker 5 (17:49):
Well, our hashtag was six years Slater.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
So we did wait a little while, yeah. What advice
would you give her?
Speaker 14 (17:58):
Don't let the world put labels on anything. Never rush stuff. Him, her, ultimatum.
I don't care. I did it on my own time,
and guess what? Look at me now.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
You just said nothing's changed and everything's the same and
it's just tax purposes.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
And it's crazy to me that they think that six
years is like they can still say don't rush it.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
I think it's easier for guys. I think biologically speaking,
we get to have kids forever. And I do think
that weighs with women.
Speaker 8 (18:33):
And Ray's right.
Speaker 12 (18:34):
Like when you look at your friend group and no
one's getting married around your age, you're thinking, well, I mean...
No one's getting married right now.
Speaker 8 (18:41):
We're good.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Heck, by the time I was getting married, all my
friends were getting divorced and then remarried. So I don't
say you go full ultimatum, but I would kind of
put the screws to him on, hey, this is important
to me. When do you think you'll have a decision
on our future? Can you give it to me by
December 31st for whatever it is? We can figure everything out,
(19:02):
but I kind of need to have an idea. I'm
burning daylight here. I need to have an idea of
what you're– I don't want to pressure you right now.
But let me know by the end of the year
if you even plan on us being together. So take
your time.
Speaker 8 (19:11):
Let me know.
Speaker 9 (19:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (19:12):
But you made a good point about keep in mind
your age.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
You said. Yeah. If you were 12.
Speaker 10 (19:17):
We don't know.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
We don't know.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Good luck.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
I don't like it. And if you are 30 plus,
he needs to poop or get off the pot. But
I wouldn't make him poop or get off the pot today.
I would give him a friendly deadline to decide if
he wants to poop or get off the pot. That'd
be my advice.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
All right.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Close it up. I love Little Big Town. We were
talking about the saddest songs of all time and like
our favorites and their new album. So here I am
with Little Big Town. What's the best sad song ever?
I'll go Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. Total of
(19:56):
my top five favorite songs of all time. All my
favorite songs are sad songs. Me too. Because I can
feel it.
Speaker 11 (20:02):
We just wrote a song on the record called Sucker
for a Sad Song.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
That's why I asked that question.
Speaker 9 (20:05):
Oh, oh.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
Well, you know what?
Speaker 10 (20:07):
I almost said.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 11 (20:10):
I think my favorite sad song is You Don't Even
Know Who I Am, Patti Loveless.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Your favorite sad song is Don't Pick Your Own.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
I know.
Speaker 13 (20:17):
I'm trying to think of my, I mean, I could
be obvious and say He Stopped Loving Her Today, which
is pretty devastatingly sad.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
Still, though, it's cliche, but it's also cliche for a reason.
Speaker 13 (20:28):
Because it's the saddest song ever.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
The only reason he stopped loving her is because he died.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Yeah, that's pitiful. That's... Also Whiskey Lullaby.
Speaker 11 (20:39):
My favorite.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
It's one of the greatest songs of all, just songs
period of all time.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
My favorite sad song.
Speaker 11 (20:42):
And how great that it was on popular radio.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
Oh, wow. It is, it's one of my top ten
favorite songs of all time. Would that happen now, you think?
If it went extremely viral because Paisley was doing a dance.
Speaker 11 (20:54):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
Then they couldn't.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Deny it, you know?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Let's see if we can work on that.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Also, Ghost in this House. I'd throw Ain't No Sunshine
up there.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, one of my favorite
songs ever. Everybody Hurts, R.E.M. I probably played that more
in college than any other song. Because I was just lonely.
Speaker 11 (21:14):
You know what we turned that into on the bus
when we had kids was, everybody poops sometimes. When the
kids were in diapers and you'd.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Have one of them that would be like.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
You guys were doing parodies to poop?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Uh-huh, yeah.
Speaker 8 (21:27):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
Even Little Big Town does poop parodies. Oh, you don't
know how many parodies we do.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
I can't say most of them, but Jimmy and Phillip are,
they should make a living writing parody music.
Speaker 13 (21:38):
They first started doing that like in truck stops. Which
is the perfect place to do vulgar parodies. Yes, and
they would come back and get in the van after
being in the truck stop bathroom, and they would have
a new poop parody.
Speaker 11 (21:52):
Well, we have some group ones, too, but I wouldn't
say I'm on your show.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
It's a dying art. It's a late night show. With
the album coming out, it's a dying art. You guys
aren't quitting, are you?
Speaker 9 (22:04):
No.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Okay.
Speaker 11 (22:06):
Did that title throw you?
Speaker 5 (22:08):
You can be honest. I didn't know if you were
just kind of, it didn't throw me, but I wasn't
convinced it wasn't what you were saying.
Speaker 9 (22:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (22:17):
It's a dying art is a song about enduring love.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
And you could have picked any title to be that.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
I know.
Speaker 11 (22:24):
But you know what it is for us is like, it,
it says everything about where we feel like as artists
we want to be, which is getting back. to all
things that we actually do with our voices and instruments
and art. Even down to the cover of the record
(22:44):
was a photo that was taken by Becky Fluke that
we stretched on canvas and found an old frame and
then found a guy that makes those little gold plaques
and engraved onto the like when you would walk into
any family house and you would see an old portrait
of a family and nameplate and then we took a
(23:06):
photo of the photo and so down to like celebrating
the art that we make and getting back to that
and they're all i know there's all the discussion about
ai and everything and and listen i love to do
use it for like homework i.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Not my homework.
Speaker 13 (23:26):
But also, like, looking each other in the eye and
putting the phones down and just having true fellowship with
the people you love.
Speaker 11 (23:34):
That's a dying art.
Speaker 5 (23:35):
It's not that Little Big Town's quitting after this record.
Speaker 14 (23:37):
No.
Speaker 11 (23:39):
No, it's just like when you hear that song and
then you hear the whole record, you're going to.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
Go, oh, I get it. I get it. It makes
sense now.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
This is the Bobby Bones Show.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Hey, Bobby. If you want to hear the full hour
we did together, go search for The Bobby Cast on iHeartRadio,
wherever you get your podcasts, or Netflix.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
It's time for the good news.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
With Bobby.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Tell me something good.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
This guy went to eat and he left and goes,
oh man, did I tip? And so he's worried about that.
And so he got home, wrote a letter, and sent
50 bucks to In the letter to the restaurant, detailing
as best he could who the server was. Because he
didn't know their name. They didn't have a name tag.
(24:26):
And he said, I was 75% sure that I left
a tip, but I wasn't 100. So he wrote the
letter and sent it back. And they got the letter
and then gave the money to the right person.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Love that.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
That's what?
Speaker 8 (24:39):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Well, no, no. It's really easy if you tipped or not.
You go look at your credit card statement and.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
You look at- Like at Sonic, sometimes I'll forget I
tipped and I'll just go back because it's cash.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I mean, I'm sorry. I guess I've never... I accept
your apology.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (24:53):
And then you said statement. So do you have the
app where you can instantly look at what you paid? No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
You go to a website.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
But you do go to the website? That's what you
would do. You do that?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Oh, good. We're just surprised you would be able to
use a website.
Speaker 8 (25:07):
No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
I wouldn't do an app. I'm not going to put
my bank on my phone because then if someone gets
your phone, they steal your bank. But your phone is
your computer. They're connected. Uh-uh.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
Your phone and your computer are not connected.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
A little bit, but I don't have... No, there's no
little bit. Either they are or they're not.
Speaker 11 (25:21):
They are.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
I don't know what you mean, but my banking information
is not on my phone.
Speaker 8 (25:27):
Do you get texts on your computer?
Speaker 3 (25:30):
I do that.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
Okay, so everything on your phone is connected to your computer.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Correct. Right, but my banking app is not on my phone,
so it doesn't send my banking information to my phone.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Your banking app is not on your phone, but does
your browser share.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
I don't know how to do that.
Speaker 8 (25:47):
You know what?
Speaker 5 (25:47):
Maybe you're right.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
I'm telling you, my bank, I do not use my
phone for my bank. I go to my laptop computer.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Right, you cannot use it, but it can still be connected.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
How?
Speaker 5 (25:57):
The same way you get text through both.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
No, you have to set that up. You have to say,
share with my computer.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
You know, regardless, this story here, I mean, it seems ridiculous.
They posted on social media. They thanked him. She got
the money.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
All good.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
That's cool. That's a great story. News Nation now. I
love the story.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Your bank is on your phone for sure. That is
what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
That was Tell Me Something Good. Fun Fact Friday.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
Yay! So that painting, the Mona Lisa, it's probably the
most famous painting in the whole world. And it's famous
not because of how... Great, it was painted. Or even
that it was da Vinci. It's famous because it was
stolen for a long time. And that really upped the
value because people talked about it until they finally found it. Well,
(26:43):
for a long time as it was stolen, Pablo Picasso
was suspected.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Of being the thief.
Speaker 8 (26:48):
The actual painter?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
They suspected Pablo Picasso of stealing the Mona Lisa in 1911,
but he was released due to lack of evidence. despite
possessing statues stolen from the Louvre.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Dang.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
So they had other stuff.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
But that's why that painting, though, as a side fun fact,
is so famous, because there was this big controversy, scandal,
and where is it? Who stole it?
Speaker 3 (27:10):
They got it back, obviously. Okay, Amy.
Speaker 9 (27:12):
President Andrew Jackson's pet parrot, Pole, had to be removed
from his 1845 funeral for cursing too much.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
So, Andrew Jackson must have been cursing a lot.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (27:25):
And he had a parrot. The parrot was really, really
sad that Well, you.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Don't learn that word if you're sad, unless he's cursing
a lot around you. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
That's funny though.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
I think I would laugh. That'd be a nice, if
you know everybody's sad. F, F.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
Oh, Andrew's pretty.
Speaker 9 (27:40):
I wonder, were curse words the same in 1845? Like
what was a curse word then? Are they the same?
Speaker 8 (27:46):
Oh, that's a good question.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
I think a lot of them are the same because
some of them are rooted from like the 1400s.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Maybe not all, but yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (27:53):
Wasn't bloody a bad word?
Speaker 3 (27:54):
That's British.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
Um, But you can, I don't even want to read
some of these.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (28:00):
Are they really bad?
Speaker 5 (28:01):
Some of the ones that we don't consider bad now,
I can do that, that were back in the day.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
By God, that was a bad one.
Speaker 11 (28:09):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Oh, really?
Speaker 9 (28:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Yikes. People would say balls.
Speaker 8 (28:14):
That's funny.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
I'm going to bring that one back.
Speaker 8 (28:16):
Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Or lick spittle.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
What?
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Yeah, that's one. But most of the ones now that
we have were still bad. Kind of in the mix
for bad words. Eddie.
Speaker 12 (28:29):
The oldest cat to ever live, no longer with us,
but her name was Cream Puff, and she lived to
be 38 years old and three days, and she was
from Austin, Texas.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I don't believe it.
Speaker 9 (28:41):
Why?
Speaker 8 (28:42):
Let me give you the dates. Born August 3rd, 1967.
Died August 6th, 2005.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Now do you believe it?
Speaker 9 (28:49):
No.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Like that meant anything about you believing it or not?
Now that you gave me dates, someone just wrote dates
down and said my cat's 38.
Speaker 8 (28:54):
The owner is Jake Perry. I mean, I don't know
why somebody would make this up.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
I don't necessarily think a cat is a lie. If
you said a dog, yeah. I mean, cats can live older,
longer lives.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
I mean, 38 years.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
I'm looking at a cream puff. I'm looking at a picture.
Speaker 12 (29:11):
Yeah, you can look it up, and it's down in
history as the oldest cat ever.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
He had another cat, this Perry guy, who was the
fourth oldest cat ever recorded.
Speaker 8 (29:20):
What's he feeding him?
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Or is he getting second ones that look like them?
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Exactly. Getting guys that look exactly the same. I believe him.
I believe him. I believe him. All right, Lunchbox. John
Quincy Adams, when he was the president, he liked to
go skinny dipping in the Potamac River. You got it.
Try again. I don't know it. Potamac. Potamac.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Potamotic.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
Potamac.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Now you're getting there. Potamac. Potamac. Potomac River. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (29:45):
If you had to bet money on one of those.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Potamac. Okay, there you go.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
Potamac.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Potomac River. And so Anne Royal was a reporter, and
she was like, man, I want to interview with the president.
He won't agree to talk to a woman. So when
he went for his daily skinny dip, she took his
clothes and said, you agree to an interview? I'll give
you your clothes back. And so she became the first
woman to interview a president.
Speaker 8 (30:08):
Dirty dog.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
It's called the Potomac, just for future reference.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Potomac.
Speaker 8 (30:12):
Is that the one where George Washington crossed?
Speaker 2 (30:15):
He didn't really.
Speaker 7 (30:16):
No.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
That's the Delaware. Yeah, the Potomac.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
George Washington, because it's... No.
Speaker 11 (30:22):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
That's not the one he crossed while in battle.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Got it, got it.
Speaker 14 (30:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
So, okay. Have you gone?
Speaker 5 (30:29):
Mm-hmm. Okay, everybody's gone?
Speaker 8 (30:31):
We're gone.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I got a couple more here.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
All right, next up, the word quarantine is actually Italian
for 40 days.
Speaker 8 (30:38):
Oh, quarantine.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
It dates back to when it was discovered that ships
were infested with plague-carrying rats... And the ships were forced
to wait outside Venice for 40 days before they let
them come ashore.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
Dang.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
So they would get there and then have to sit
for 40 days, which is pretty crazy. And then spiked
and studded dog collars date back to the days of
ancient Greeks who would give their sheep dogs sharp spiked
collars because it protected their necks. So wolves, when they
would come in and try to bite their neck, they'd
bite the spike.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
That's what Eller needs.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
A full body.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
But yeah, people said you could put full suits on them.
With spikes all over it?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yeah, when the coyotes were in our yard.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
So yeah, there you go. Okay, so what did you
see on Instagram? What was the prank they were doing?
Speaker 9 (31:25):
Oh, so they put a sticky note on the window
of someone's car in a parking lot. So when they
come back to get in their car, they see the
note that says, police are looking for me.
Speaker 10 (31:36):
I'm in your trunk. I'll get out when you get
to your house. Like, all good, you know?
Speaker 9 (31:42):
And then they sit in a car nearby and film
the person reading the note and see how they react.
So the video I saw, the guy put his stuff
in his car, read the note, and then went and
popped his trunk to see if anybody was in the trunk.
And I thought, you have someone that's saying the police
are looking for them. They could be armed and dangerous,
(32:02):
and you're just going to pop open your trunk and
not even be ready for anything?
Speaker 5 (32:06):
That's interesting. I would have popped it too, but my
key fob has you double hit it and it pops
up itself.
Speaker 8 (32:13):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
So I'm back in far away.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
Probably getting behind a car so they don't know who's
actually popping it going pop up.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Boom. It's up.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
If I don't have that, I'm not opening that.
Speaker 10 (32:24):
Yeah, I was thinking, what would I do?
Speaker 3 (32:27):
What would you do? Call somebody. Yes, that's what you
should do. No, not somebody. Somebody.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
No, not somebody.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Call 911.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
The police.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
I know.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (32:36):
So was anyone in the trunk ever?
Speaker 9 (32:38):
No, but they were filming him, and they're just in
their car laughing, seeing how he would react.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
But if I call 911, whoever left that note is
in deep trouble, right?
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Correct.
Speaker 8 (32:47):
That's their problem.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
You're not going to know who left the note.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Until they post it on social media.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
I bet they don't. If the cops come, I bet
they don't post it.
Speaker 12 (32:54):
If this is in a public parking lot, they have cameras.
They'll see exactly who put that posted note up.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
You think they're going to track it? Sometimes people break in,
they can't even find them.
Speaker 8 (33:03):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
That's a great point. Didn't think about that. What would
you do, though, Eddie? You get to your car. It
has a note on it.
Speaker 8 (33:08):
Call the cops.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
100%.
Speaker 8 (33:08):
You wouldn't try to pop it from afar?
Speaker 9 (33:11):
No.
Speaker 8 (33:11):
I wouldn't even.
Speaker 5 (33:12):
No.
Speaker 8 (33:13):
I'd call the cops immediately.
Speaker 9 (33:15):
Can you imagine if there was anybody that would get
in their car and be like, cool, I'll drive home.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
You can hop out when I get there.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
A little bit, I'd be like, how would they have
gotten in my trunk?
Speaker 3 (33:23):
That's so stupid. And I'd maybe throw the note away.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
Oh, I never even thought of that.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
How would they get in my trunk?
Speaker 8 (33:30):
Your key.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
If your car was unlocked, they went through and pulled
the seats down and got in that way.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Right, right.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
But if your car is locked, if you know you
locked the vehicle, right, there is 0% chance they could
have gotten in your trunk. So you're just like, all right,
this is stupid.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
They could not have gotten in your trunk because you
have a bicycle. Right.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Well, I am not saying my trunk specifically. I am
just saying as a human, when I had a trunk
on the Ultima back in the day, I would have thought,
there's no way they got in my trunk.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Of course, of course.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Tell me something good.
Speaker 9 (34:03):
The story's from ABC7 in California, but I actually saw
it on social media too because it has blown up.
This girl, Heidi, has over 30 million views of this
story about how her neighbor was really noisy. And I mean,
it was very disruptive and she didn't know what was
going on up there. So she decided to go up
there and see what was up. Well, turns out her
(34:24):
neighbor's elderly and has a walker. And every time she
was walking with her walker and she has Parkinson's as well,
it was making the loud noise. And she has no family,
no help, and they've struck up a friendship. And now
she's cooking for her, cleaning, helping her with medical benefits
(34:45):
and legal matters. She got with their landlord, and he
stepped in and did some home improvements, and they've raised
over $ 55, 000 for Carol.
Speaker 10 (34:54):
And now they're like granddaughter and grandmother, they say.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
She's probably banging on the roof for a while.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Be quiet!
Speaker 5 (35:00):
And then goes up and is like, oh, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (35:03):
That's the post I saw was her almost in tears.
I mean, she might've actually been crying. It was a
very emotional post that I saw of how she had
one thing in her mind and then she learned her
neighbor's actual situation. And she, then I saw another video
of her like chopping up some potatoes. She was like
making dinner for Carol, my new neighbor that, you know,
(35:24):
I was annoyed by, but now I want to help.
Speaker 10 (35:28):
And I love that they've struck up this type of relationship.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
Yeah, that's fun.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Good story. That is what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
That was Tell Me Something Good. Wake up, you.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Wake up in the morning.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
And then you turn the radio on and the dial
just keeps on turning.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
And now the morning corny. The morning corny.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
What party game do fish like to play?
Speaker 5 (36:16):
What party game do fish like to play?
Speaker 10 (36:19):
Salmon says.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
Wouldn't have got there.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Salmon says.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
That was the morning corny.
Speaker 8 (36:28):
All right, voicemail.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Bobby offered up a gift of up to $ 1, 000 to
send him.
To the iHeartRadio show thing and he was so excited
and he says, this is what it's all about. But
yet he gets upset when Bobby helps others get to
go to places that they wanted to go. He was like, no,
(36:50):
if you can't afford it, don't go. I think if
you can't afford it, Lunchbox, don't go.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
There's a difference. I didn't go to Bobby begging to
send me to Legoland, and I didn't send Bobby, oh,
send me on a staycation. I just talked about how
I wasn't going, and Bobby reached out to me and
asked me, would you like me to pay for your flight?
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Oh, man, he's really doing some mental gymnastics here.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
And so also, yes, you're right, and then he did
offer like $ 1, 000 to pay for the flights, and he
scaled that back to $ 400.
Speaker 5 (37:21):
I didn't scale it back. So that's not what happened
at all. Also, Lunchbox was going to message me on
Giving Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
I was.
Speaker 5 (37:26):
He even said he was going to.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
But you went ahead. I didn't have to do that.
You felt it in your heart that you knew that
I need a reward. I need a break. I need
a release. And so you said, let's send him to Vegas.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
And the only flight I could find was the $ 1, 000 one.
And Scooby said, no, I found another one.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
It's like $ 450.
Speaker 5 (37:44):
You can fly him. And so I did that. But
then he's... Upset about that, but I'm still at $ 500,
and he's upset that I'm only out $ 500 instead of $.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
1, 000.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Correct. 7 a.m., man. Just say that out loud. 7 a.m.,
return flight from Vegas. No one signs up for that.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
$ 450 coming out of my pocket, not the company.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Say that out loud. $ 450 coming out of your pocket,
not the company. But you were okay two minutes earlier
doing 1,000. We were looking.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
We were looking for flights.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
I mean, you were like, oh, yeah, do it. Just
book it. And then Scuba had to ruin everything. Hey, actually,
you know what? Let's give them the crap flight.
Speaker 5 (38:23):
A crap flight does better than no flight.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Am I right?
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
And is it a crap flight?
Speaker 3 (38:28):
It is.
Speaker 5 (38:30):
It is.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
7 a.m. is a crap flight. I'm going to miss it.
Speaker 7 (38:32):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (38:34):
Thank you for the voicemails. Leave a voicemail anytime for us, 877-77-BOBBY.
If you say these things, you're old, according to this
video on TikTok. And of course, there were younger people
saying it. Of course. All right, tell me if you
say this. Number one, if you say videotaping instead of
recording with your phone.
Speaker 8 (38:53):
I've said it.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
No, I say film it. I say videotaping, yeah.
Speaker 5 (38:56):
I think both would count, though, because didn't you say
you said film it, too? Yeah, film this.
Speaker 8 (39:00):
Will you film this for me?
Speaker 5 (39:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (39:02):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Sold.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
I think that counts. So, yeah, I think I just
say we record this. So I think I'm good there.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
Next up.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
What do you call this sign if you just are
saying it?
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Pound.
Speaker 8 (39:17):
Pound.
Speaker 10 (39:17):
But is it a hashtag now?
Speaker 8 (39:18):
No, that's a hashtag.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Yeah, but what would you say? Hashtag. Yes.
Speaker 9 (39:24):
No, I would say pound.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
If it's like on a security, like if you're doing
your house security and it's a number, what would you say?
Speaker 7 (39:31):
Pound.
Speaker 5 (39:33):
Yeah. Saying pound instead of hashtag means you're old. I
would say pound as well if I'm telling somebody what
to push, if it's on a button.
Speaker 8 (39:39):
Yeah, if it's on a button, it's pound.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
When telling time, if you say half past or quarter
till or phrases like that, Do you guys say any
of that?
Speaker 3 (39:50):
I don't say that. I say 6.45.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
Yeah, I think I say the exact time.
Speaker 8 (39:54):
Yeah, so do I. And mostly for me, it's because
the math of all that is too tough.
Speaker 5 (39:59):
Just saying quarter till.
Speaker 8 (40:00):
Quarter till, like, I don't even know what that means.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
What do you call the person?
Speaker 5 (40:05):
Amy, this is not for you. What do you call
the person you go to and you talk about your
feelings and emotions?
Speaker 8 (40:09):
That's the therapist.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
The therapist.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Would you call him that?
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
What else would you call it?
Speaker 8 (40:13):
A shrink. Oh, I've never used that.
Speaker 5 (40:16):
I believe that is rooted in a brain shrinker.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Oh, or they shrink your problems.
Speaker 5 (40:23):
No, that could also be it.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
I feel like it's derived from, um, yeah, it is
like a brain or head shrinker for the mid 20th
century slang for psychologists, psychotherapists.
Speaker 8 (40:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Okay. We're good there.
Speaker 5 (40:36):
If you say, Hmm. What are the things called that
Amy wears? Imagine she doesn't have a cord lunchbox, but
what does she wear?
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Uh, iPods. Earpods. I don't even know what they're called.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Earbuds.
Speaker 5 (40:49):
So, Eddie, what do you say?
Speaker 3 (40:52):
I would go... What would you really say?
Speaker 8 (40:54):
I would go earbuds.
Speaker 5 (40:56):
Okay, if you say earbuds, earbuds, or earpods, you're old.
Speaker 9 (41:00):
Gosh.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
What are they? I call them iPods. Earpods.
Speaker 5 (41:02):
Oh, earpods. Okay.
Speaker 9 (41:03):
Ow!
Speaker 5 (41:04):
Yeah. You guys think of an airbud?
Speaker 8 (41:06):
Yeah, airbud.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
That's a good movie. Okay.
Speaker 5 (41:09):
This one, nobody says this here. If you did, you'd
be 100. Pocketbook instead of purse.
Speaker 8 (41:13):
Oh, no.
Speaker 5 (41:14):
We're not gone with the wind.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Black and white here.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
The person on a plane that brings you drinks is
the flight attendant.
Speaker 8 (41:22):
Okay, good.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
Not the stewardess.
Speaker 10 (41:25):
Why'd you point to the guys for that one?
Speaker 5 (41:26):
Because they would be the only ones who would say stewardess.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
You wouldn't.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
Okay, thanks.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Why'd you get offended at me pointing at them?
Speaker 9 (41:33):
Well, I want to play.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
But I knew you wouldn't say stewardess.
Speaker 8 (41:36):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
Like, sometimes I think they're, this is me treating them
like children.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
For the record.
Speaker 8 (41:40):
There was a transition there, though, where you had to.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
Yeah, all of a sudden you had to get.
Speaker 8 (41:43):
All of a sudden they're like, no, it's a flight attendant.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
It's not a stewardess. I wasn't part of that transition.
Speaker 8 (41:48):
No, I know.
Speaker 10 (41:48):
Yeah, but why are y'all having an attitude about it?
Speaker 8 (41:50):
Nothing because we had to change. Like, there was a
time when we said stewardess.
Speaker 5 (41:54):
Because you just talked about flight attendants so much that
it really affected your life.
Speaker 8 (41:58):
No, but if you did say stewardess, people were like,
you mean flight attendant? You don't remember that time?
Speaker 5 (42:04):
No, no one ever talked to me like that. And
I didn't talk about it that often. Okay, next. What
do you call the pants that you wear to church?
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Slacks.
Speaker 8 (42:12):
Oh, slacks.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
Slacks. That's old.
Speaker 11 (42:14):
Is it?
Speaker 9 (42:14):
That's old?
Speaker 10 (42:15):
So what do people say now?
Speaker 14 (42:15):
Pants.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Just pants.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (42:18):
Sometimes khakis.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
Yeah, khakis and.
Speaker 5 (42:20):
Slacks kind of roll together a little bit.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (42:24):
Amy, I just know you don't say some of this.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
That's fine.
Speaker 5 (42:25):
So please don't get offended.
Speaker 9 (42:26):
I'm not offended.
Speaker 8 (42:27):
Because you're progressive, Amy.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
No, no, you're right.
Speaker 5 (42:28):
I get it now.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
Because you yelled at me a minute ago.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
I didn't yell.
Speaker 5 (42:30):
You're kind of.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
No.
Speaker 14 (42:31):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (42:32):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (42:32):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
A place that a woman would go to Lunchbox to get.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
Her hair done. Oh, they call it a salon.
Speaker 5 (42:40):
What would you call it?
Speaker 3 (42:42):
Haircut place.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
For a woman?
Speaker 9 (42:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
Eddie?
Speaker 8 (42:45):
That's the salon.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Okay, that's right.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
Some people call it a beauty parlor. Oh, no.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
If you say that, that's old. Oh, I wouldn't know
what that, no.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
And then what do you call the meal that's in
the evening? Dinner.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Mmm, dinner.
Speaker 5 (42:58):
Yeah, and they say supper. I don't feel like supper,
it could be an old person thing. I feel like
supper for me is a geographical thing. Because I don't
know anybody, any of my friends that lived in the
north or far west, they called it supper ever. Arkansas Keith,
it was supper. Like dinner was lunch. Supper was dinner. Yeah.
But to me, it was always a southern thing more
(43:19):
than it was an age thing. So I think for
the most part, you guys are good.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
Good.
Speaker 5 (43:23):
You're just kind of old.
Speaker 8 (43:25):
A little bit. Yeah, a little bit. The filming gets
me there for sure.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Which one hit you the hardest? Because I might say
slacks occasionally if it's that specific khaki-colored pant.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
I think it's maybe the pound sign that gets me
the most because I get that it's a hashtag, but slacks,
I don't really say that that often because I don't
really wear them.
Speaker 5 (43:47):
Also, hashtag is too many syllables. So if it's type
in your code at your bank, it's 999 pound.
Speaker 4 (43:56):
Right.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
It's a 999 hashtag or 999 hash.
Speaker 5 (44:01):
That's just too many syllables.
Speaker 9 (44:02):
Hash. Hash.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
All right, some voicemails.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
Hit that.
Speaker 12 (44:07):
Justice for Lunchbox.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
You know, he didn't even get invited on the trip anyway.
And Bobby said he would pay for him to go.
Speaker 7 (44:14):
So, you know, he wants to be at his best
for his kids and the best for the show.
Speaker 4 (44:18):
So.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
He's a gig man.
Speaker 8 (44:20):
You know, he has his character, does his job.
Speaker 5 (44:22):
He's good at it. Keeps people interested. People either love
him or hate him.
Speaker 7 (44:25):
So, yeah, justice for Lunchbox.
Speaker 8 (44:27):
I hope you end up having fun on the trip, man.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Tony from Iowa, out. Thanks, Tony.
Speaker 5 (44:32):
He doesn't care about Best for the Show. Boom!
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Tony from Iowa finally got a smart caller. Thank you, dude.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
You nailed it.
Speaker 8 (44:38):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
But I wanted to put him on.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
I don't want everybody's against him because Tony is the
one person that's not against him.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Tony, my man.
Speaker 8 (44:45):
Yeah, Tony.
Speaker 5 (44:45):
Play the next one.
Speaker 7 (44:48):
So I'm calling about the Lunchbox Vegas trip. If Lunchbox
wants to come back at a certain time on Sunday,
why doesn't he use that voucher that he got renewed
or whatever and use that on his home trip back
if he's not wanting to leave at 7? Have a
good one, guys.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Good question. That was credit for my wife, and she
has used that to purchase her tickets. So we will
be on two separate planes.
Speaker 11 (45:16):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (45:18):
Good.
Speaker 5 (45:18):
That means it's like president and vice president.
Speaker 7 (45:20):
No.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
The planes goes down, your kids.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
We don't think like that. We don't play that game.
It's not a game. That's why they don't fly together.
But we don't do that. We don't talk about planes
going down.
Speaker 5 (45:30):
We do.
Speaker 8 (45:31):
No, no.
Speaker 3 (45:32):
Me and my wife, we don't. Yeah, but she's not here. Yeah, yeah.
But we don't mind booking the same flight because we
don't want to put that energy out there.
Speaker 5 (45:39):
So now you believe in energy? Putting energy out there?
Because that's not your thing.
Speaker 10 (45:42):
No, if I were to say that, you'd be like.
Speaker 5 (45:43):
You are not an energy person at all. Yeah, just
for the record.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
I know.
Speaker 3 (45:47):
I'm just trying to make you realize that I should
be on that plane with my wife in the afternoon.
Speaker 5 (45:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (45:52):
I'm sure she's going to love it.
Speaker 5 (45:54):
What'd she think about your flight getting paid for?
Speaker 3 (45:56):
She thought it was really cool. She thought it was ridiculous.
I was going home at 7 a.m., though.
Speaker 8 (46:01):
She said that?
Speaker 3 (46:01):
She thought it was ridiculous.
Speaker 9 (46:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
She goes, that is so ridiculous. That was maybe her
exact quote.
Speaker 5 (46:06):
I feel less appreciated by the day.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
She was like, it's exciting. That's cool. Now, like, we
don't have to. You said ridiculous. Yes, but we don't
have to tell the neighbors, hey, sorry, we can't make it, but.
She can make it.
Speaker 9 (46:21):
Right.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
And you're going to skip the, you're going to miss
the flight on purpose. I'm going to miss the flight.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
I'm going to prove a point.
Speaker 12 (46:25):
Have you talked to the neighbors about how you're not
working and now you're just there for fun?
Speaker 3 (46:30):
I did finally tell them that after Bobby, nice enough
to book my flight, I was like, okay, now I
can go to them.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Like, hey guys, are we ready?
Speaker 3 (46:38):
And guess what? I don't even have to work. So
I didn't have to go like, oh guys, I didn't
get invited. I didn't have to do the sob story.
Speaker 5 (46:43):
They promoted you basically. They just want you to come
to party.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Correct. Like, wow, you have no responsibilities. I was like,
none whatsoever. They're like, man, we're about to have us
a good time.
Speaker 14 (46:53):
Ray, if I were to get you a flight, like
we talked about, where would you stay? It's still kind
of been going around in my head, what can I do?
Because we do have connections there, but it's too far
from the Strip. It's kind of old Vegas.
Speaker 5 (47:06):
Because if you're going to be my assistant.
Speaker 3 (47:07):
Yeah, that wouldn't work.
Speaker 8 (47:09):
Yeah. You've got to be nearby, right? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
If I call, I should, here I am. Have you
been able to check?
Speaker 5 (47:16):
Do you have a suite or something where there is
different rooms than yours?
Speaker 9 (47:21):
No.
Speaker 5 (47:21):
You're not staying in my room.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
And no, they don't put me in a suite. It'd
make the most sense, honestly.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Again, they do put me in a suite, but there's
only one room in the suite.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
It's not. Is there a pull-out bed? I don't know.
Ray's not sleeping in my room. If I'm paying for.
Speaker 5 (47:38):
Ray to come and he's also sleeping in my room,
I lose.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
It's like college.
Speaker 14 (47:46):
You just get done finishing up a professional production on
TV and it's a college frat back.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
At the suite.
Speaker 5 (47:51):
Will you see how much a flight would be for Ray?
Speaker 3 (47:54):
What airline? Oh, Frontier.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
He will be on the same flight.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
Check around.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
No, no, there's no checking around.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
It is Frontier.
Speaker 5 (48:01):
You never know. And then we might go to the
local library and get on the computer there and see
if we can get a cheaper flight.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Right, Amy?
Speaker 10 (48:10):
I mean, I don't think we need to mess with
Lunchbox's flight anymore.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
We're not messing with his.
Speaker 10 (48:14):
But he thinks Ray joining him will be messing with it.
Or Ray getting a later flight is going to be.
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Messing with it.
Speaker 8 (48:18):
Yes, that is.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
That's absolutely, what do you call it, bull crap? Is
that what you call it?
Speaker 8 (48:24):
That's why you took.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
You got a free flight. It doesn't matter what happens
around you.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
No, it does. It doesn't. If you give Ray a
later flight home, that's you doing that on purpose to upset.
Speaker 5 (48:34):
No, it's just... No, not on purpose, but it's just
what the prices are and what the times are. And
I don't even know if Ray can go because he
has nowhere to stay.
Speaker 8 (48:41):
Well, sometimes they have little deals where you can do
the flight and hotel together. You look into that, right?
Speaker 9 (48:47):
Eddie. What? No.
Speaker 3 (48:49):
That's true.
Speaker 8 (48:49):
You know him?
Speaker 14 (48:51):
And also, you never know if I'm getting Bones' fourth meal.
I may need to sleep in a little bit just
so I'm rested.
Speaker 10 (48:57):
Fourth meal?
Speaker 3 (48:57):
If he has to get my overnight meal?
Speaker 10 (48:59):
Do you eat a fourth meal?
Speaker 5 (49:01):
No, I don't.
Speaker 8 (49:02):
A fourth meal?
Speaker 3 (49:05):
That's what I said, right?
Speaker 10 (49:06):
I mean, it is Vegas.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
Sleep in.
Speaker 8 (49:08):
Bobby doesn't do Vegas like.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
Bobby doesn't do Vegas.
Speaker 5 (49:10):
Bobby goes to a city called Las Vegas and.
Speaker 8 (49:13):
Treats it like every other city.
Speaker 14 (49:14):
Works.
Speaker 5 (49:15):
Drinks a lot of water so he doesn't get dehydrated
and then flies back home.
Speaker 8 (49:18):
Why do you drink a lot of water? Because you care? about.
Speaker 5 (49:20):
It's so dry out there and I know I got
to work on Monday. So two things I try not
to do. One, yell a whole lot. And two, neglect
drinking water. Okay.
Speaker 3 (49:29):
Do you know why?
Speaker 8 (49:30):
Because you'll lose your voice.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
Because I'll lose my voice and then I'll come in
and have to go.
Speaker 5 (49:35):
Allergies got me.
Speaker 9 (49:35):
Right. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (49:36):
I've heard that before.
Speaker 3 (49:37):
That's what I'm worried about. What, allergies? Yep, allergies. Those
Vegas allergies are really bad for me.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (49:44):
Well, you just need to take it easy.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
There you go, Ray.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
Is Ray good with the 7 a.m.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
Flight?
Speaker 3 (49:51):
I mean, I'm fine with that, yeah. What about hotel?
Is it a two-for-one or what? We're just checking on
flight right now. What about room service?
Speaker 5 (50:00):
What's my daily stipend? Oh, yeah.
Speaker 10 (50:03):
Does he get per diem?
Speaker 3 (50:03):
That is a question.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
Does he get a rental car?
Speaker 7 (50:05):
No, no, no.
Speaker 8 (50:06):
Gambling chips?
Speaker 5 (50:07):
No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
If he gets a hotel room, I get one.
Speaker 9 (50:13):
Well, no, because Ray being Bobby's assistant is very different
than you going.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
Very much so.
Speaker 5 (50:17):
If he's going to come work for me, that would
be me possibly.
Speaker 10 (50:22):
I mean, Lunchbox, you would not want to go to
Vegas and be Bobby's assistant.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
No, I wouldn't do that. Exactly.
Speaker 5 (50:27):
Ray's offering to go and be with me the whole time.
Speaker 3 (50:30):
Help out, yeah.
Speaker 10 (50:30):
Yeah, you kind of need a handler.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
And in the past, I've had one. It's been Abby.
Speaker 8 (50:35):
Budget cuts?
Speaker 14 (50:37):
Is it?
Speaker 8 (50:38):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (50:39):
Has it been Abby in Vegas?
Speaker 5 (50:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Abby, it's been you before.
Speaker 2 (50:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (50:42):
Yeah. I used to do that.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
Oh, 10 years ago.
Speaker 5 (50:44):
No, it wasn't 10.
Speaker 10 (50:45):
It was like three.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Yeah, two.
Speaker 10 (50:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
You never had a handler? Yeah, I have.
Speaker 9 (50:52):
I have. Okay.
Speaker 8 (50:53):
You have not had a handler?
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Yeah, I have.
Speaker 6 (50:56):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (50:56):
Who?
Speaker 5 (50:57):
I don't know her name.
Speaker 9 (50:59):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
She went to another school. She went to another school.
Speaker 11 (51:01):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
Oh, Ray, it's 700 bucks.
Speaker 10 (51:04):
The flight or the hotel?
Speaker 3 (51:05):
The flight.
Speaker 8 (51:06):
No, there's no yeah there, Ray.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
Yeah, we ain't doing that.
Speaker 8 (51:08):
It's not looking good.
Speaker 9 (51:09):
No.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
Aren't you at the nice hotel, too?
Speaker 5 (51:11):
Lunchbox's was $ 500.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
The Frontier is still the same price. Oh, Southwest only $ 700?
Speaker 5 (51:15):
What do you mean only? Well, it was $ 1, 000 whenever
I tried to get it for Lunchbox.
Speaker 3 (51:19):
Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's perfect.
Speaker 8 (51:21):
And then Ray can sit with- That's.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
On our flight.
Speaker 5 (51:24):
He can fly with me and assist me.
Speaker 8 (51:26):
And then Ray can come back with Lunchbox's wife.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
Hey, what? No, no. Yeah, what time is that brunch lunch?
10 a.m., man.
Speaker 8 (51:35):
You just go to the brunch and everything?
Speaker 3 (51:37):
Oh, this is dirty. Thank you, Amy. Thank you, Amy.
What's the Frontier one, Mike, the total cost?
Speaker 9 (51:44):
400.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
400 total? And that's without baggage.
Speaker 5 (51:45):
And seatbelts and stuff?
Speaker 4 (51:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:53):
That's slim pickings. Every time you snap your seatbelt back in,
it's $ 20. There's no pilot on this one.
Speaker 9 (51:58):
Like, if you want to pee, you have to pay.
Speaker 3 (51:59):
You got to get up and go to the bathroom.
Deposit money. Ray, I just don't know where you're going
to stay, man.
Speaker 5 (52:05):
Mm-hmm. We see what a room is.
Speaker 4 (52:07):
No.
Speaker 8 (52:08):
Isn't there a whole, like, city under Vegas?
Speaker 10 (52:10):
Wait, do we know our hotel yet?
Speaker 9 (52:11):
Mm-mm.
Speaker 5 (52:12):
I mean, it's good, but my, I don't know. Okay, Ray,
hit me a voicemail, 10.
Speaker 4 (52:18):
Morning, studio.
Speaker 8 (52:19):
This is Shannon from Michigan. I'm calling in regards to
my friends. One of them has 54,000 unread emails.
Speaker 4 (52:28):
The other one has 50,000. And they just have no
intention of fixing it because it's too overwhelming.
Speaker 5 (52:35):
That's a lot of red dots on there. Feels very Amy-ish.
Speaker 9 (52:38):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
Not that she ignores stuff, but once it gets to
a point, it then just lives.
Speaker 10 (52:43):
Let's see.
Speaker 9 (52:43):
My email red dot currently says 4,831. But those could
be from... 2017. I mean, it's not from yesterday.
Speaker 8 (52:55):
Would you be open to just a clean delete?
Speaker 11 (52:58):
No.
Speaker 5 (52:59):
All control A.
Speaker 8 (52:59):
No, no, no.
Speaker 10 (53:01):
No, I have emails from my mom. I have emails.
Speaker 5 (53:05):
The red dots don't bother her. You should go through, though,
just one time.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
Go through what? All of them.
Speaker 8 (53:11):
Oh, gosh.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
No.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
Mike, what do you see?
Speaker 10 (53:13):
It's 15,000 pages worth of email.
Speaker 3 (53:15):
Anything? Is there a bundle?
Speaker 2 (53:17):
I don't see a bundle.
Speaker 5 (53:21):
That room was $ 700 by itself?
Speaker 8 (53:23):
A night?
Speaker 7 (53:24):
No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
I think it's the whole $ 225 a night.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
Gosh.
Speaker 9 (53:27):
$ 225 a night.
Speaker 5 (53:28):
I don't know if I can handle that.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
Yeah, that's getting too expensive. Looks like you're out, Ray.
Speaker 9 (53:33):
Sorry.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
I'll look into it a little more, Ray. No, no, no.
Be close by, too, so it'd be worth it.
Speaker 5 (53:37):
I'm still going to take some looks. What's the date
of our festival?
Speaker 4 (53:40):
17th, 18th.
Speaker 5 (53:42):
Okay, so we've got a little couple weeks.
Speaker 10 (53:45):
18th and 19th, sorry.
Speaker 5 (53:46):
A little couple weeks there.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (53:48):
Okay, I'll keep looking into that, Ray. No promises, though.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
I don't know that right now.
Speaker 5 (53:52):
I'd say it's only a 3 out of 10 shot.
Speaker 3 (53:54):
It's all good.
Speaker 14 (53:55):
I mean, also, you're texting, calling whenever you need me.
Just make sure you call a couple times.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
I'll be at the casino floor. Okay, see.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
You can't get a hold of him.
Speaker 5 (54:03):
He's talking me out of it now.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
This story comes to us from Hillsborough County, Florida. A
41-year-old woman wanted to go to the 7-Eleven, but man,
she lost her license back in July. She's like, here, 11-year-old,
you're driving me to 7-Eleven. Gave the 11-year-old the keys,
drove perfectly to 7-Eleven, pulled into the parking spot, goes
to hit the brake. I accidentally hit the gas, drove
(54:31):
right into the 7-Eleven.
Speaker 5 (54:32):
I can't believe an 11-year-old would not know how to
drive and park properly.
Speaker 8 (54:36):
Surprising.
Speaker 5 (54:37):
Yeah, five years before you're supposed to get a license. Yeah.
So what do you do if you're drunk? Do you
let the 11-year-old drive or do you drive? What? No,
the answer is not go.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
Okay, just making sure. That's right, just making sure.
Speaker 5 (54:48):
Okay, so the 11-year-old doesn't get in trouble, right?
Speaker 3 (54:51):
No, no, the 41-year-old gets arrested for child abuse and
child endangerment, but luckily no one was hurt in the 7-Eleven.
Speaker 10 (54:58):
Thank goodness.
Speaker 9 (54:58):
Good. Oof.
Speaker 5 (55:00):
And luckily no one was hurt on the drive there
with an 11-year-old driving, either the people coming across from
it or them.
Speaker 9 (55:07):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day.
Speaker 5 (55:11):
My favorite comedian now is a guy named Mark Norman.
He's blown up. He's had multiple specials. I played this
joke on the air before.
Speaker 6 (55:18):
Everything kind of changes when you get older. My brother
had a kid.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
That's crazy.
Speaker 6 (55:22):
Everybody wants to play with the baby, touch the baby,
hug the baby. I find babies fascinating because babies are
the only thing that comes out of another person that
strangers want to hold.
Speaker 9 (55:34):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
You ever think about that?
Speaker 6 (55:35):
Anything else comes out of a human being, you're like, wow,
this dinner party is over.
Speaker 5 (55:38):
So I think he's so funny. He came over and
we did a Bobbycast together. And so we were just
talking about fame and because he's getting really famous and
how it scares him. We talk about that in his
top comedians. Have you felt... You becoming Gen Pop famous?
Speaker 6 (55:55):
Gen Pop famous?
Speaker 3 (55:56):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (55:57):
That actually scares me a little. Like, I hang out with,
I was with Shane Gillis last week, and, you know,
you just can't go anywhere with the guy. And that's
so cool and great for him, but that worries me.
I like being a little under the radar. You want
to be able to sell tickets. I want to be
like a Brian Regan or like a good kind of,
what's that, like a Dr.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
Dog. You know that band?
Speaker 5 (56:18):
No.
Speaker 3 (56:19):
Exactly. But they can play everywhere. They sell out.
Speaker 5 (56:22):
I know Dogstar.
Speaker 6 (56:23):
Dogstar is Keanu.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
That's right, on the bass.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (56:27):
But you're starting to cross over, though, to that.
Speaker 9 (56:29):
I know.
Speaker 3 (56:30):
You have to feel it a little bit.
Speaker 5 (56:31):
I do.
Speaker 6 (56:31):
I get recognized a lot, and it's very nice, and
I love the fans, and I appreciate it, but I'm
scared of that moment when you're out with my kid
at a park, and somebody's like, you suck, and my
kid's going to be like, what was that?
Speaker 1 (56:41):
You know?
Speaker 5 (56:44):
How old is your kid?
Speaker 3 (56:45):
Almost two.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
How's that going?
Speaker 3 (56:47):
I'm loving every minute of it.
Speaker 6 (56:49):
Oh, I just realized I left him in a Waymo.
But no, good kid, cute, and it gets better every month.
Speaker 3 (56:56):
Who's your favorite ever?
Speaker 6 (56:57):
Chris Rock in the 90s is up there for me.
That run he had was unbelievable, and that's kind of
what got me into comedy and got me into stand-up.
I always loved Seinfeld growing up. I'd watch it with
my family. But I had the Seinfeld shout-out, and that
was insane. Chris Rock in that 94 to 2005 was
probably my favorite. stand up of all time. But then
(57:18):
Louie had chewed up and Bill Burr came around and
there's Brian Regan, there's Jim Gaffigan, there's Dave Attell.
Speaker 3 (57:25):
He's hilarious.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
So it's harder for me to pick a favorite ever,
but those are my favorites probably.
Speaker 5 (57:30):
Is there a special though specifically that you think of
and go, man, that one hit me? At the right
time in the right way.
Speaker 6 (57:36):
Yeah, bigger and blacker and bring the pain. But then Norm,
I'd probably say Norm is my favorite because no one
is as funny as Norm all the time. Norm is
funny on podcasts. He's funny on stage. He's funny on
a TV show. He's funny in a movie. He's funny
in an interview. He's never not funny.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
If you want to hear the full interview, just search
for The Bobbycast on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts,
or you can watch it on Netflix. But that's Mark Norman.
He's my favorite current comedian now.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (58:09):
Hope you guys have a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (58:10):
Hope it's amazing.
Speaker 5 (58:12):
You go and you live your greatest weekend life. All
you guys, live your greatest weekend life, okay?
Speaker 8 (58:16):
Okay, we'll try.
Speaker 5 (58:16):
Okay, we'll see you guys later.
Speaker 3 (58:19):
All right, bye everybody.
Speaker 14 (58:19):
Bye.
Speaker 5 (58:21):
