Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for the good news. Yeah something.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Amy, Well, never underestimate getting in the car, rolling the
windows down and taking your kid or even just yourself
for quickble drive to Sonic.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, last night, our debate was either.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
A blizzard from Dairy Queen or a slushie from Sonic,
and we opted for a slushy from Sonic and we
went and just got little smalls like it was nothing,
you know, just a little treat after dinner, and it
was so good and we had such a good time,
had the dog in the back music on and it

(00:39):
was spontaneous. We didn't plan it. It just felt like summer.
I guess you could do it anytime.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Or windows down doesn't feel like summer. Huh yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
And for kids, just like, okay, yeah, this is.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Legit, Like why not We could have just done our
normal nightly routine and stayed home because we were already
at home and done with dinner and done with.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
All the things.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
And then something in me just said, you want to
get in the car to get like either Dairy Queen
or Sonic. And then the vote was slushies Cherry limeade
slushies from Sonic, and so we just went and did it.
And I was like, Okay, this is good. I need
to do this more. Just a little reminder. Not a commercial,
by the way, No, no, because it could be dairy

(01:19):
Queen like.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
We could have. That'd be a double commercial. We never
do double commercials for two things.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And once yeah, yeah, yeah, no.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
It really it just that those were the two options
that came to my mind as something to do, like
quick that my kids like speaking of commercials.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
And just so you know, this is not a commercial.
I won't name the brand. Sure. Eddie and I were
in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach and Palm Beach last night.
West Palm Beach. Okay, that's what's the difference. I don't
think it's.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Called Palm Beach, like I really think the name of
the city is West Palm Beach.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Where's the east and where's the normal I don't know,
but it's not.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Part of it like West Lake.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
There's no Palm Beach, Florida. There's only West. You might
be right, because I might be wrong. I wouldn't fight
for it, except I would slightly argue why, and it
wouldn't make loge.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
It wouldn't be logical. It sounded funny when you just
said we were in Palm Beach, Florida.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Is there a normal Palm Beach There is where, probably
east of.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
West Palm Beach, just east of it. That's interesting.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
No, it's not. It'd be interesting if there was only
a West Palm Beach with it.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
But Eddie's trying to say specifically, y'all were in.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
There's no reason to correct me. There's no reason.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
If I'm in North Little Rock and I say I'm
in Little Rock, it's like North oft Rock. We're not
cool anymore. So like Key West, is there a Key East?
That's a great question. I don't think there is, but
I think that's different because that's the second that's part
of the name. West Palm Beach is pointing to the
western city.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
There's Palm Beach and then there's West Palm Beach. West
Palm Beach is the name of the city.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It's not just because when you're in No.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I want to work this out.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I was saying, this has nothing to do with actual west, east,
north south. I don't want a compass to tell the story.
I literally was just saying we were in Palm Beach,
and we might have played golf in Palm Beach and
not West.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Possibly, but we were in West Palm Beach. Go ahead,
a story.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
This is stupid. Tell us what's your story? Dude? Would
be crazy, is it?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Whatever story you're about to tell might be the same
story I'm telling.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
It's not okay, is it? Some of you ate? No? Okay.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
It wasn't even about the town we were in. I
was just giving it some context.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Okay, So what you're.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Not going I hate y'all? Carry on? Carry on.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Apologies. So we're in Palm Beach last night. It's it's
tough to hear at this massive client event. I'll talk
about it more in part two. And I'm not because
it's not a commercial. I'm not gonna say the brand.
But about six months or so ago, I started talking

(04:08):
with this brand about possible endorsements or some sort of
influencing or just something because I really liked the product,
and they wouldn't sign on for a bit. And that's fine.
A lot of people don't want to sign on. The
guy didn't know who I was, and he's to say,
we like to work with talent we know, and I'm like,

(04:29):
fair enough, he I just don't know anything that you've done.
And so for some reason, I came across his radar.
What I think I came across his radar, honestly was
on Netflix, because sometimes people will just pull that screen
up even if they don't listen to the Bobbycast, and
my face will be up there. They don't watch it,
but it says Bobby Bones Presents the Bobby Cast. And
one of the things that I did when we went

(04:50):
on Netflix is we purposefully changed the name. It was
just a Bobby Cast forever, but I said it has
to be Bobby Bones Presents. Otherwise nobody even knows who
the crap that is, and we're trying to get new
people that know my name. So I think he sees
that he didn't reach his back out and goes, oh, yeah,
how about that.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I like to do some Maybe we should do some
business together. It's kind of been nurturing this relationship.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
He's got a product that I think is great, and
the product is now I must say.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I have guns. I've been raised with guns.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
I'm very comfortable with guns, especially shotguns and rifles, not
really pistols, but coming from a rural culture, everybody has
guns as tools and if you need them with weapons weapons,
but really very very very seldom as weapons.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
His product is kind of the mick.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
It's not a gun, but it's a little more than
a taser, and so if you shoot somebody with it,
they don't die, but it definitely incapacitates them. And we
were talking last night because we spent a little time
together with this event, and I was talking about some
of the security issues that I've had with even getting
attacked at work or in certain place, or death threats,

(06:01):
and we were just talking about when somebody like breaks
into your home, it's either nothing or nuclear option, meaning
you do nothing and just hope it goes okay and hide,
or you have to shoot and kill and there's nothing
in the middle. Wow. Yeah, And so we have this
conversation and what I had said to him was, I
think some people are afraid to shoot, even if they

(06:24):
know that it's a bad guy, Like there's fear of
even pulling the trigger because well, who knows, if you
don't kill him, you may get sued. Also, you just
killed somebody. Also even though they're breaking into your house.
They are all of these factors in play whenever someone
is threatening you. And so he has this product that

(06:47):
I think is the perfect I don't even want to
say weapon, but the perfect tool to have in case
a situation like that happens. Because he was saying there
were instances of like somebody drunk nephew coming in, like
staying and he didn't know, the alarms off, and somebody
thinks somebody's breaking in and they're going, oh, this person

(07:09):
might kill me or I have to shoot him. Turns
out that if you're telling me a story the drunk
nephew got shot with I had to say shot because
it's not a real gun, but with this tool weapon,
and yeah, it's like for him, but he's all right,
you know, Yeah he didn't die. We had this long,
long conversation and I was really appreciative one that he

(07:31):
remembered even my name, because when he saw me and thought,
oh we should I should work with this guy now
that I know who it is, then we had this
great conversation. I'm just glad there's a product like that
that exists. I'm not even saying the product because I
don't want this to feel like a commercial, but I
think they'll probably come and advertise on the show at
some point. Maybe maybe not, But do you know the
product I'm talking about? No, it's great. So I'm definitely
gonna get one. I'm gonna go train on it. I'm

(07:53):
gonna come and shot all you can.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Oh, here we go. That's gonna become a bit in
the wheel.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
But I was just happy I got to meet the
guy in person because forever he just didn't want to
work with me because he didn't know who I was.
And he's one of those guys like, if you cross
into my world, I know who you are, then my
people do. And I'm going, hey, man, we have a
lot of listeners who either are definitely Second Amendment people
but don't want to have to kill somebody.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
And so we probably talked for twenty minutes.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
What was difficult about it was he wanted to talk,
like right when all the big speakers were talking. So
I'm having to like be quiet, We're having to like talk,
and I want to be like, hey, let's pause for
a second and let the big speakers talk at this event,
and but he.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Was just talking. I don't want to be rude. He
was just talking right through it.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
And so yeah, but it was good and I liked
the product, and so one day, if they come on,
I'll tell you about the product. But This is not
a commercial for Sonic or Dairy Queen or that product.
But I I think you can be an even be
an anti gun person if you want to be and
have this and it be effective and allowing you to

(08:53):
feel safer. Yeah, so that was That's why told me
something good. I got to spend time with the Guy's
cool and not convince him.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
But saw, I want to go one.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
You don't know what it is.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Yeah, we'll find out later.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Maybe maybe I don't even know they're coming on. I know,
I know I'm getting a free one.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
I'm saying, was that part of the conversation, Well, like,
I'll send you one.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
That's cool? Yeah, uh so that was mine. Had a good,
good conversation with that guy.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
He's probably like laughing at my bear spray.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
I didn't bring it up.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
I'm not saying you would bring it up.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
So why would he be laughing about Why would you
laugh at something you didn't know because he doesn't know
about your It's like a joke.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I've never heard. I'm laughing at a joke. I've never heard.
That's impossible.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
But I don't understand the humor of something I've never
been exposed to.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
For people in his mind that might be trying to
have something that yeah, isn't a gun. Probably is like
no put away that bear spray I got you like
to those people, like if if he were to find
out about it, not that he knows.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
I think that's an option too.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
That's but this sounds I think way more they can't invent.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
I think he invented this or I don't know, I'm
talking too much, but I had a good talk with him.
I really liked the product, and hopefully they come on
the show. If they don't eat, if they even don't
come on the show, I'll show with you at some
point once they're not on the show. I just never
want things to feel like commercials if they're not.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Okay, Eddie, Yeah, see, it's weird that you guys are
talking about all these brands and I wasn't gonna talk
about the brand. But and it's not even like it's
just weird because it's food. But okay, so let me
start back with about I don't know, three years ago,
I was like, I need to take my diet seriously
for my like gut health right, and all the stuff
I was reading was like yogurt, yogurt yogurt, and I

(10:39):
would buy yogurt and I mean, it's so disgusting.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
It's bitter.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
And they marketed as like, oh, it's delicious yogurt with
chocolate chips.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Creak.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, but they're not talking about yogurt with chocolate chips.
They're talking about just playing yogurt, Greek Greek yogurt.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
So when we were at that golf course, I saw
like a little packet of yogurt and it said yogurt
with coconut and mango.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm like, let me give it a shot, guys. It
was delicious.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
It was the first time in my entire life that
I put yogurt in my mouth, and I was like,
I kind of want more of this.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Was it Greek yogurt?

Speaker 4 (11:14):
It was Greek yogurt with infused with mango like juice, because.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Greek definitely has a bitter taste to it, like straight
yogurt like basically ice cream. What is straight yogurt yogurt
is that no yogurts even not yogurt. You it to
the extreme, because that's pretty good. I'm saying, like normal,
if you're just getting yogurt that's not Greek, it's all
sugared up and made to taste good like that is

(11:40):
almost a dessert.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Get a plane, yes, but I'll get a plain yogurt,
whether Greek or not, as long as it's plain, unflavored.
And that's what I used as a replacement for sour cream.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Does it kind of tastes the same?

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Yeah, it just feels like it's rotten milk. Did you
take a picture of it?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
What's the brand? Can we say it?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Because like I don't want to be commercial. Trust me,
this ain't a commercial. Yeah, it's called New Nose.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Oh yeah, New Nose is good, guys.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yes, it was delicious.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
They had that at the golf course.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah, it was part of there. You don't even know fancy.
Oh yeah, palm beach be.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
So okay because that's kind of seeing that's like a
more elevated.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Does that mean that because it's more elevated expensive yogurt,
like that's why it tastes better.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Also, I think it's just they've they have really good
concoctions and they have a vibe about them to where
I'm not surprised that a more elevated wherever y'all were
a club would want to carry that because it's not
your usual.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
I mean, they have it at the grocery store, but
it's definitely special.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
I guess even the packaging, like everything just about it
seems cool.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
That's kind of what it was. The packaging was like,
I've never seen that before. Let me give that a shot.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
And I think at one point they reached out a
us I well scoop the season.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
I don't know. He can't. He's not.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
He's not here. They're driving back.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Did his papa shop? He would know? But I feel
like once when I got the email about it, I
was like.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Heck, yeah, I see that some of the grocery shore
and it didn't work out.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
I guess you never know she was. I just got
gotten by that too. So who knows that golf club
we were at? Oh gosh, here you go. I wasn't
wondering where you were googling.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
Less than thirty minutes from Palm Beach International Airport. Oh
that's what the airport is, not West Palm Beach. Palm
Beach International Airport.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
When you look at a map, West Palm Beach just
sticks out. I mean it's on the map as west
nothing sticks out to meet.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
I just wanted to say, Palm beach and you're a jerk.
That's what sticks out to me is that I'm a jerk. Yeah, okay,
Well that's a good recommendation for people.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
And it's just a good start for me because I
never ate yogurt.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Now I feel like I'm gonna starting yogurt.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Probiotics in there and stuff all the Yes, I don't
know how to say that.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Funny he went to gogurt because that's when my kids eat. Yeah,
And I see it in the fridge and I'm like,
let me try that, and I taste on that's pretty good.
But my wife's always like, that's not yogurt.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
It's interesting is the airport is just west of the
city of West Palm Beach. It says Palm Beach International
Airport is just west of the city of West Palm Beach.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
So West Palm Beach is its own city.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
It is.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
Yeah, So it was North Little Rock and we were
in West Palm Beach, but it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
North Little Rock is a city.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
It's called North Little like when they're riding on there,
there was a mayor of North lit Rock.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Their addresses North Little Yes, Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Look at this.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
I have a map of Florida right here, and you
got big cities like Orlando, and I'm not and there's
Palm Beach.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
No one's arguing that that's a fictional place. My only
thing was there was no reason to correct me. And
then I said, oh, in your argument was there's no
such thing as Palm Beach, And I said, I'm not
going to argue beca.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I don't know, but was wrong. That's where I messed up.
I shouldn't have said that.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Stop while your head. So we all were at a
nice golf line.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I just looked up what the entry fee is to
get into that club. So this is to be a
member of the club.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Do you have to get invited?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
You have to not be rejected so you can apply.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
And I'm just talking generally speaking about golf clubs, so
it's not some maybe invite only I doubt this one
is like in Augusta. You can only be invited. But
that is the most prestigious in the world. The club
that we were playing at just for the initiation fee
four and five thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Ooh, what this is the initiation fee? Wow?

Speaker 5 (15:44):
If that's if you live as a local resident. But
so many people have like second houses there. Yeah, and
they are considered national members. Six hundred fifty thousand dollars
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
As the initiation fee if you decide you don't want
to be at the club anymore, or can you sell
your initiation depending.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
On the club, Yes, it's not an initiation fee, it's
your membership.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
You can sell your membership.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, how do you know about that? I mean, no, Amy,
I've never heard of that they can sell your initiations.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
I don't know that I knew.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
I was just asking, wow, because it makes are you
buying something like actual you're yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Is it just six hundred and fifty that just goes
away if you leave the club? Or do you have
a way to get that back because you're like a
deposit Because it's the initiation fee, it's not your Yeah,
it's not even your yearly dues.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
What are those monthly?

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Well, monthly yearly.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
Even if you have a club for the most part
where you can sell it back, you don't sell it
back for full price, and you have to also get
to a certain point of membership to even be able
to sell it back at all.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Like I was a member of a club when I
moved here first moved to nashvillecuse I lived on the
golf course and I was like, screw this.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I moved.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
I was just out the money because I didn't stay
a member long enough to own it to sell it back.
Now it's nothing like this, this amount of money. But
that's a good question.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Yeah, pass it down to your kids.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Well, yeah, your kids will be a part of the
membership and then they keep it if you die. But
they got to keep paying the monthly dues because the
monthlys are always a thing.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
That's what's crazy about the whatever club. My sisters in
laws are a part of that.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
They their kids are members and their grandkids.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Oh really locked in?

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Like that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah, like you get to so my nephew so much
so he just decided golf.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
He just moved Austin because he's like, I think this
is where I'm meant to because now he gets to
go call every day. He's like, at what twenty one
years old? Now he has this membership to this club
that he could never afford.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
But does he have to pay monthly?

Speaker 3 (17:57):
No, No, it's you're part of the thing. It's that
discovery things.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
This is part of Does somebody own property?

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Mm? Yeah, so if you own property on certain clubs,
you're a member of every one of theirs, but you
have to own property.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
You can't just h they're building a house there.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah. And then because we have one here too.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
You see a lot of artists that that play you
know the club that is here, Yeah, it's troub Do Yeah,
Tribe Door. If you see that it's in their member,
it's because they own property on it and it's very
expensive property. They're building a house or you can't even
just buy a lot to do it. I'm not a
member of Troubadour, so I'm not speaking from knowledge of that,
but I have a lot of friend friend dishes that
are and I play it a decent amount because they're like,

(18:36):
come out and they don't even have rules on those.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
They're so nice. There are no golf roles you want
you wing are out while you play it. Go for
it like it's crazy. Not so much that every hole
they have full houses with food. It's it is wild.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
You don't have to wear you don't have to wear shoes,
you can wear t shirts. It's it's it's wild. Yeah, Okay, Eddie,
thanks for your talking about Palm Beach. Yeah, thank you
West Palm Beach.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
That's where were there, And the yogurt brand is called
all right Lunchboks.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Yeah, tonight at eight o'clock Central. If you love the
United States of America, this great country that we live in,
you will be in front of your TV with friends, family, neighbors,
watch parties across America as the United States men's soccer
team takes the field for the World Cup game.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
That starts it all.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
As we play Paraguay, as we march to the title
and host hoist the World Cup. Tonight, it starts.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Who starts tonight?

Speaker 5 (19:38):
We were only barely a favorite. Why those South American
teams are good now? But they put us in a
really weak group. But isn't they're good? I don't know
much about soccer, but I assume.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
That is pretty good. Is that really how it said?
If you said, with an accident, of course Lunchbox is Bataguay.

Speaker 6 (20:01):
Good, I wouldn't say they're good, but I mean, hey,
they're good enough to hang with us.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
What about Haiti? They play Scotland, they're going to beat
by like five hundred. Shoot.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
My kids are going to be with their dad, but
he's planning a watch party and they're gonna be like
a whole Haitian things. It's the first time Haiti's been
in the World Cup in like a really long time,
and our kids are They've never pitched in to sucker,
but they're like my daughter literally texting her week Haiti
made it to the World Cup like cool. So then
she talked to her dad and so now they're going
to do this watch party and they're playing Scotland like

(20:34):
lunch Boks.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
There's no way they could win.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
Well they could. I mean, I'm just saying Haiti is so.
I mean, it's crazy they're in the World Cup.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
It's crazy they're in the World Cup. Crazy like America
sometimes doesn't make the World Cup.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I know.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Well, that's why this is a big deal for them. Yeah,
so they're they're excited, as.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
I saw my watch the Mexico game. Yeah they won,
yeah two zero right, Yeah, don't you mean Mexico.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
I don't, but if you were to ask him that question, yeah, yeah,
I to watch the Mexico guy.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
A good South Africa.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
What's funny is the teams that have to go down
and play in Miami that come from like cold or
temperate climates that are just not going to be used
to the heat. Like if you're a team, you're like Brazil,
you wanted South America teams all cool, but even a
Scotland having to play in.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
I'd be crazy. Uh yeah. Not a big soccer guy,
So that means I mean.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Yeah, because I don't know if they're playing in Miami,
then I was just saying there's a chance because I
was looking at the bracket lunchbox.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
You know where they're playing.

Speaker 6 (21:35):
No, I don't know where they're playing.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
Some of the cool spots, Like they're playing in Kansas City.
That would be a fun place to go watch because
it's a big soccer town.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
It's pretty crazy Yeattle. Yeah, like if they play in America,
they got some really cool stadiums. But then they played
like like last night, late last night, I think Korea
was playing.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
And they played in like yeah, scott was starting tonight.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
First day.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Yeah, Scotland and Haiti are playing in Boston. They're in
Massachusetts because I did and I saw the people getting
off the plane and they were complaining that their plane
ran out of beer. From Scotland to Boston.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Oh, a lot of Haitians in Boston.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
It's just weird where some of them are hubbed, meaning
they're where they're staying, like basically living because the maybe
this the team from Spain is staying in Chattanooga.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, Japan's here, they're here, yeah, Jashville, They're everywhere.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
I mean like Austin has like maybe South Korea or
all regardless of all these cities. And then who's in Nuga. Yeah,
that's pretty funny. Interesting A MESSI plays for Argentine Argentina.
I saw them playing in College Station. But they're not

(22:46):
staying in college Station. They were playing in the football
stadium like a friendly. It's just weird to see all
the videos and it's fun because they're experiencing American culture
where they're going. Can you believe they had this thing
called nerds in the boxes? This big or looking at
this huge slow like just all the excess that we have.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
What do you see? They're in Kansas City, Argentina.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
Think about that, like one of the most famous people
in the world, Messy But I mean he lives in Miami, Yeah,
but he's in Kansas City right now, and I don't
think he live lives there. Stay there the season? Where
is Lunchbucks? What Ronaldo is he?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
What that's Portugal.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Where are they playing Portugal?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Where they stay? I don't even care what they're playing,
but where are they living? But it's a good blow
of your mind. They're in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
No way, I was looking at the airport. Paul Beach
Gardens is a separate place. Interesting that services the same airport.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Right now Ronaldo is having the same Are we in.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Nod That's fun?

Speaker 5 (23:50):
Yeah, Look, Lunchbarks knows a lot more about soccer than
I do. I've had I've had a couple of soccer
players on certain shows that we've done, even a guy
that played on the last World Cup team. So like,
I'm very, very like entry level when it comes to soccer.
But I care until we're out. Well, then you won't
watch it, don't give up crap?

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Yeah no crabs.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
So lunchback say you don't like it even if it's
by the Gay and Argentina.

Speaker 6 (24:15):
Right, Yeah, Like last night I stayed up and watched
you know, the South Korea versus Chechia. I mean, I
don't care about any of those teams, but.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
I watched it. That wasn't Czechoslovakia, No, it was Chechia.
Man the Czech Republic.

Speaker 6 (24:29):
When they spelled it on the screen, it was c
z e c h I A, And I was like,
I guess that's Chechia.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
Right, Like when Mexico was playing I thought they were
playing Russia because it was RSA.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
That's how it's spelled. But it's Czech Republic ya okay.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
Yeah, which is I don't understand the different Why they
don't just put Czech Republic?

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I agree.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
I thought Mexico was playing Russia because it was RSA.
Who are they playing South South Africa? The Republic of
South Africa. Oh, just write it out. They don't have
to fit to your standards. Everyone's everyone, but everyone thought
they were playing Russia.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
RSA.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
What do you think immediately? Raisins although there's no a,
there is at the beginning. I just be written in
the wrong order. Yeah, rh yah Russia. I guess would
there be a sickle?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
There was no? That's ussr Uss All right, there you go.
That has tell me something good. That's what it's all about.
It's time for the good news, Bobby.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
In twenty eighteen, this guy Fergus suffered a spinal injury
workplace accident. Five percent chance of regaining some movement, even
like walking, five percent chance that you have any movement
at all. He had an emergency surgery. He was paralyzed
from the rib cage down, unable to feel his legs.
He says the surgeon told him if the movement did

(25:49):
not return in seventy two hours, his chances would drop
to zero. So that was a pretty intense seventy two hours,
lots of visualizing, just as toe. He said, it was
just focused on his toe, toe, toe toe. Twenty one
days later, not in the seventy two hours. Twenty one
days later, his big toe started to move. He then
went to a rehab hospital where he continued and he

(26:13):
just worked on his other toes in his feet and
they started moving from his feet, his ankles, and we
could play the game where I go all the way up.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
There's no need. He now is setting a challenge for himself.
He wants to walk all the way across the United States.

Speaker 6 (26:27):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
He has completed several endurance events. He's wrote seven marathons
in seven days. I don't know about rolling a marathon
what that means. I wonder if it's it doesn't matter,
it's still going to be a lot.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
If that's twenty six point two miles rolling. But he
is now going to start a three thousand mile walk
across the United States. It should take seventy five days,
starting at the Brooklyn Bridge and finishing in Santa Monica.
The journey will support spinal injury organizations, including the Refoundation.
That's from people. That's a crazy story where it's he
have seventy two hours and if nothing thing, twenty one

(27:01):
days later, ist toe move and now he's walking across.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
It's all free. That is a great story. That is
what it's all about. It's time for the good news.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
Amy.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Okay, So this woman was a john Way airport in
California and she saw an airport worker struggling to walk
on the tarmac. So she decided to video him. He's
an older gentleman, a Navy veteran, and his knees aren't
working as well his bodies aching. Again, he's older. She
puts up this video on TikTok. It gets six million views.

(27:37):
I think people start pouring in like how can we
help this guy? So she sets up a gofund me
and one hundred and sixty thousand dollars has been raised.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Turns out.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
He's also caring for his nine year old mother who's
in hospice care, so they have bills and he is
so grateful.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
For the help.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
It just kind of crazy that one video of him
struggling to walk across the tarmac people wanted to rally
together and support it.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
I love the story, I love the ending. It's just
weird people video people. I know, it's like, hey, videos
this old guy, they can't walk, he's working.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I like, hey, look at that.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
No.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I think it was more like, wow, this guy is
clearly struggling, but he's still out here getting his job done.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
And I think people sympathized with that and just we like.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
Hopefully there's a call to action on the video right
when you do that, and you're not just looking, because
if there's not, it's just a weird world.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
And then like the algorithm, Like how does the algorithm
catch a video like that?

Speaker 5 (28:38):
So there really is no right answer on that because
they hide what makes an algorithm do its work, generally speaking, though,
it's engagement or sharing. So it's not so much that
an algorithm is looking for an old man walking Let's
find one of those today, it's people commenting on it
people sharing it, people liking it. It's those factors all

(29:01):
different at different times.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
So maybe it's it's got a slow start and then
it starts building momentum. Then the algorithm just take.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
And then I guess I'm wondering. I don't have all
of the details. But she's a passenger at the airport
he's working. She's filming him, like did she know or
find out somehow, like oh, he's served in the military, And.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Now look like, why are you shooting this video? I'm
glad here. I just feels like there's some other videos
being shot that I don't agree with. Yeah, they don't
come across the.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
News here, Yeah, but obviously this one.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Hopefully you shoot it and you go talk to them
and you go, yes, do you care about post this? Hey,
what's your story?

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Or did she find out yeah before or like maybe
one of his co.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Worker on the airplane? How do you know what they're
doing down there?

Speaker 3 (29:40):
It doesn't say she was filming from the plane or
from the window inside the airport.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It just says I'm glad this story worked out.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
A lot of questions, a lot of questions though, Yes,
all right, there you go, that's what it's all about
that was tell me something good.
