Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time for the good news.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
By no lunchbox for this segment, but we do have Brent,
our program director, and our friend from Bakersfield, California that
was just dropping by.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
What are you doing in town?
Speaker 4 (00:14):
We have meetings for an event, a big country industry
event that happens every February or March, so we start
planning it this week.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
That's exciting. You can't have the meeting on zoom.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
You know, they do some of the meetings on zoom,
but they like to do some in person, and I
kind of like it in person.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
You know, you get to see everybody face to fit.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Sometimes I think that's better for coming up with ideas
and collaboration.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I completely agree. But how long is your flight here?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
I took a red eye Saturday night into Sunday, so
I mean about four four hours.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
There's a NonStop Bakersfield in Nashville. No, I had a
fly out of LA. So you had a fly at Bakersfield, LA. Yeah,
we drove drove.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Bakersfield to LA and then how long is that about
a little less than two hours?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
You got to drive.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Get on wait for an hour in the airport. Anyway,
we're gonna make you come up with it. Tell me
something good just a second, okay, okay, am you want
to go first, Sure.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
I have a tell me something good and suck in one.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
So same event my friend and podcast co host Kat
her baby shower was on Saturday, and so that was
the good Like, it was a lot of fun. It
was a couple shower. It was really great to celebrate
her and her husband. It's their first baby all that.
Everything's great. Well, I was in charge of games, which
because it's a couple shower again, we kind of just
(01:31):
did a little bit kind of what we did for
Caitlin's baby shower, nothing like too crazy game wise. But
also I saw Bobby interact with someone and I was like,
this went overwhell with Bobby. It should be fine with
like twenty guys.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
There were twenty guys there, well there was.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
It was her she's from here so they have a
lot of family. There was probably almost seventy people there.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Wow, it's a big one. Yeah, it sounds like a wedding.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
It wasn't my house, yeah yeah, no, her parents were
took care of the venue and all that.
Speaker 6 (02:01):
So we were there and.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
So it's kind of loud and I need I couldn't.
I couldn't speak, like I felt like trying to get
everybody's attention.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
It just was so I was like cringing.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
And then everybody had fun with the games. That was great,
but I had to read some stuff and I print
I'm the one that printed it out, but I forget
my vision.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
So not only am I having trouble.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Just keeping everybody's attention and speaking loudly, but like I.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Can't see when I have to read.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Well. I didn't take them to the baby shower because
I didn't think that I was gonna need them, but
I was like, why did I print it in this
font like or this font size?
Speaker 6 (02:40):
Like I needed to go up aside.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
So that was the sucky part is that you know,
I needed to keep it like sharp, like this is it,
and everybody it had a good time, like games were good.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
Even people afterwards.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
They don't have to come up to say anything. I
feel like if the game sucked, they're just like, hey, cool,
good to see you, you know, but they're like, hey,
this was Actually I wasn't expecting that to be fun,
but I actually enjoyed it. Whatever, okay, fine, but it
just was awkward and it sucked because like, yes, either
I should have had my glasses or now I need
to just go ahead and print things in bigger fonts
because I was like this the whole time and trying
to read, and then I would mess thing up and
(03:11):
I'm like, wall, wait, that's not what I meant. It's
not I meant the word is actually this?
Speaker 3 (03:15):
So do you need to print larger? Yes?
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Like I just it sucked because I'm mad at myself
that I printed.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Twenty pages but it's like twelve words.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
I'm like, so it just was fine, but I just
made the font too small. And one of them was
like these cards I had printed out from FedEx for
one of the games and people had to fill it out,
but even the font on the card, Like I was like,
can other people see this?
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Like whey is wrong?
Speaker 5 (03:42):
I just feel like it's my vision's really gotten bad
the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
Like something's changed. It was bad, it was getting bad.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
But now it's like getting worse. So then I'm like,
is this If it's progressing this.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Way, it could be something though we would say cute
specific that is making it temporarily weak getting back.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
I don't know that it's.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Fully they say, I googled it, They said.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Trying to make you not freak out because I wake
up sometimes in my vision is like, oh I have
bad vision anyway, but my one good eye, I'm like, man,
it kind of sucks. But if I didn't get like
the right sleep, if I didn't eat just right around,
I'm just trying to You're not dying.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
And maybe my eyes are just watering alergies out.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
It could be any of that.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
A really good thing that because Amy threw my wife's
shower with some other friends, but it was at Amy's
house and a really cool thing that was done was
everybody wrote a message inside of a baby book. Now,
we didn't ask for gifts, so I guess that was
the gift. But and we're going through the books now
and reading the books to Billy, and it's cool to
see all the messages people wrote inside the books. Because
(04:46):
we didn't look at them the next day. There were
I don't know, forty baby books, so we didn't read
them all, and our plan was not to but to
kind of read and discover them as we read the
books to Billy.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
So that's been fun.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
We had Like's Wife's book out the other night and
Kelsey had messaged me like.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
To see my book. I see my book on the
ground and made rotation.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
So yeah, no, that's a really cute idea, whether you're
doing gifts or you want like a little extra special thing.
But y'all, Caitlin is really specific, like we're y'all didn't register.
Y'all bought everything, which is great, but then people want
to bring something. On the invitation, it said and lieu
of gifts, bring your favorite baby book with a special note.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
And the note is really cool. I think that's what
made it special because we're just now experiencing those notes
and that was before Billy was even born.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
So I'm glad.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
I went, well, I'm sorry for your vision, but I
think it'll be okay.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
I know it's like next time, I need a little
microphone and a speaker like stuff up.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
So I don't feel like I should have brought your karaoke.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Machine was going to be so large.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
I guess you made I did because we knew the
head out, but you picture that. But then once you
once you get in the room, you're like, oh, shoot,
this is bigger than I kind of thought. And then
getting everyone's attention to do the glass with the knife
and the knife. Oh please don't break Eddie.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
I did one for you last week, but you can
do it again and talk more about it if you want.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Do you know the one I did for you? I do.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
I think you did that. I got the okay to
do yoga hot yoga. Yeah, talk to the doctor, she said.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
You want to elaborate on that.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
Yeah, the doctor. I mean I didn't call her or anything.
I do the portal, which is amazing the fact that
you have a portal and you can just text the
doctor at any time. That's legit. So I just text
her like, hey, my friend wants to take me to
hot yoga. I've never done it before. Am I okay?
With this high blood pressure? She said, yeah, yeah, you're
on your borderline high blood pressure. So if you were
really high and this was consistent, I'd be worried about it.
(06:48):
But you're good. So I'm looking forward to it. I
can't believe we're gonna do this.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, so we have an afternoon session. It's just us.
Scuba is the one that has made all the all
the plans, right Scuba.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
Yes, Yeah, that's me.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
And they know we're bringing cameras. Yeah, they know it's
a whole content thing. Yes, yeah, it's a close off session,
which is you and Natty.
Speaker 7 (07:10):
Yeah, that's my question because we're not with other people.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
No, just three yeah, And I wouldn't mind doing it
with other people, except we can't record other people.
Speaker 7 (07:17):
I get it, but i'd be embarrassed.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
But remember what I said, you'd be embarrassed. But everybody's
embarrassed the first couple of times, but then you realize
after about your third time, there was no reason to
be embarrassed because you're not paying attention to anybody who
probably feels embarrassed right now, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
But like, is she gonna say or he? I don't
know if it's the yoga instruction.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Oh yeah, girl or guide. You know, I believe I
have a call here in thirty minutes.
Speaker 7 (07:39):
I believe it's a guy. Okay, is he gonna make
me like touch my toes? Because I can't know that.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
They don't make you do anything right, right.
Speaker 7 (07:46):
But I mean, there's no point in me even doing the.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Exercise of like, I can't touch my toes.
Speaker 7 (07:51):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I can a little more. Now, I'm used to saying
that from a whole life. I've not being able touch
my toes maybe right now in the morning, but I
can get there. But no, they don't make you do anything, okay,
but that's probably want you to do it. Yeah, yeah,
One it's so hot and then two if you've never
done yoga, it's hilarious.
Speaker 7 (08:06):
What about grunting? Is grunting allowed?
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, you're gonna grunt a lot.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
Okay, because I mean I grunt just get out of bit.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Oh yeah. School. But we also can't play music, okay,
so it's a silent class. Well because we can't record
it and play it back at it'll be a silent class.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
And that's we only do London bridges. Yeah, yeah, all
royalty songs from over one hundred years ago.
Speaker 7 (08:27):
And yeah it's not royalty free.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
No, they do good music.
Speaker 7 (08:31):
Y can you do rain?
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Sound like like you can do whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
But a lot of times there's a theme when you
go in, at least the ones that i'd been in.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
What do you mean like this?
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Sometimes it'd be like fun nineties pop and they play
nineties pop music while you're doing Sometimes it would be
nature sound. It depends on a teacher and how much
aren't paid hair they have?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
I mean one you're agree.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Kind of like the Morgan Old they are the more
traditional they wanted it to be.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Yeah, I've had everything from no music at all to
like Bobby said, hip hop.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
Those are fun, Granola.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
There's a guy that walks my neighborhood and like, I
just I want to meet him so bad because he
seems like such an interesting person. He walks with like
yoga poses, but like walks, you know, like.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Like he's like doing a walking meditation.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah. Yeah, And then he goes to the like if
he just has a hand problem, dude, and no.
Speaker 7 (09:21):
Because it changes. He changes. He goes from like above
the head to like out, Oh that's good. Yeah. But
then he hits the major road and I'm like, how
do you how's he meditating? Like there's so much sound
out there.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I don't I don't know if you can meditate while walking.
Speaker 6 (09:35):
There is a thing called walking meditation.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
You can hit by a car. That's what he's gonna get.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
You don't have your eyes closed.
Speaker 7 (09:41):
It looks like he has his eyes closed and he
has a man bun. Dude, he looks like the most
interesting guy ever.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
He's our teacher. We find out that'd be awesome.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
I have a sneeze. It's so right at the edge
of my nose. I can't get it under the light.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Look at the light.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
I can't know.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
What does the light do if you if you have
to sneeze, if you look up at light, it will
make it the go away.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Oh no, I didn't want it to go away. I
wanted it to come out.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Oh well, isn't it all the same.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
And now I've repressed it.
Speaker 6 (10:05):
What if it goes away or comes out, it's the same.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
You No, she's saying, you feel the same regardless.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
Yeah, if you sneeze, okay, and then if it goes away, okay,
it's the same.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
But he stopped it from sneezing.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
But if you sneeze that the reason you would sneeze
is there's something foreign inside that's creating.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
No, I get that part and not come back. But
I'm just saying, if it goes away, and then there
is that nice feeling after you sneeze.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Yeah, like a release.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
After Billy sneezes every time. She's because she'll never sneeze one.
She does three sneezes. How do you hit you and
then you go it's the funniest sound was that you're
telling me something good.
Speaker 7 (10:49):
I had a bigger tell me something good, but I
mean that's a good one.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
No, No, I just wanted you to know we did
that one. What your other one?
Speaker 7 (10:54):
My big, big one is that my mom had surgery
last late last week and she is seventy seven. So
she went in and it was like supposed to be
a two hour surgery and ended up being a four
hour surgery, which was very stressful.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Just when did they tell you that there's gonna be
a change in the middle of it before it starts?
Speaker 7 (11:15):
No, so they said, So when she goes in, they
were like, okay, it's it's gonna be a two hour surgery,
So just a lot for two hours. Okay, great. That
two hour time came and went, and then we started asking,
like what's going on? She okay, They're like, no, everything's fine,
they're just still working. And then like hour three, like
what's going on? Everything? Okay, yeah, they're still working. That
(11:35):
there's no reason to be alarmed, and like, but that's
two hours more than you thought. But anyway, what you
worry about at seventy seven is how she's gonna how
her body's going to react to surgery, and like, man,
she got out of surgery. She was out of it.
She was out of it for almost the whole day
because the surgery was really early in the morning, and
(11:56):
then like just the two days after that, it was
just up and down. She would wake up some days
and be like, hey, I feel good. She would walk
to the kitchen, and then some days her knees wouldn't
even would buckle, like they couldn't even hold her up.
So the last couple of days have been really hard
just to kind of monitor mom and how she's doing.
But dude, she's doing great now. I would say yesterday
(12:18):
was amazing. She did everything on her own. She was
in good spirits. She was talking normal, because that was
something that was really scary, Like after surgery she wasn't
making any sense, and then the day after surgery, still
not making any sense, asking for my dad. My dad's
been dead for two years, so stuff like that. So
we're calling the doctor, like, what's going on with that. Yeah.
(12:38):
So apparently older patients that go under anesthesia they have
this thing called post up delirium, and this is kind
of a fifty to fifty deal where like most of
the time they get out of it, most of the time,
you know, you kind of like just tell them like no, mom,
dad'sn't dead. You know, like it's daytime, it's breakfast time,
it's dinner time. Then it usually goes away, but half
(13:00):
of the time it doesn't go away, and they just
kind of live like that and they end up, you know,
having amnesia and so that stresses out too. But now
she was making sense on Sunday, Like she's making sense now.
So everything is good. That's my tell me something good.
She made it through surgery. Everything was successful, and she's
on the road to recovery, which is awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
It's good.
Speaker 6 (13:21):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Yep, scary, scary, better, much better.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Mine is going to be that we're so close to
college football starting is I have my first college football
coach interview today that'll be on twenty five Whistles. We're
talking to Colin Klein, who's the head coach of Kansas State.
So it's been just such a beast to have to
figure out content to do when there's no sports going on. Yeah,
and I'm such a big college football fan, and when
(13:48):
we start getting our coaches on that kind of is
the indicator that we're getting close. So that's my tell
me something good. Had a fine weekend. We didn't do much.
It rained and.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
We just hung out with the baby and baby napped,
and I did watch a bunch of movies.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I think I watched three Court and The Odyssey, which
I mentioned earlier. But I watched The Odyssey and three
more your film guy, mister cinemas.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
But I'm JV movie min What else am I gonna do?
Speaker 7 (14:18):
Yeah? Yeah, it's just so what about the video games? Like,
have you just abandoned video games?
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Well, mostly because the video games are up where the
baby naps, so, Caitlin, the baby, you're up where the
baby naps, and then the video games are right there.
And so I also just haven't felt the entry and
I forgot the room where my three TVs are.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
The ground is all baby Matt. Oh no, yeah, I
think that's probably why think about it. Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
My chair is not even able to roll in front
of the screen right now because it's baby Matt.
Speaker 7 (14:46):
You're gaming chair, I know, so, uh, yeah, you're growing up.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Let's telling me something suck. I didn't think about that really, Brent.
What about you give me to tell me something good?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
We are about two months away from my oldest daughter
getting married. Wow. Yeah, paying for that one, I am wow.
And I mean, look, my wife Julie is. I mean,
she's doing a lot of the planning with Gracie and
they just tell me what to pay when.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
But it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
I mean, and she and her fiance, I mean, her
fiance is great. No, I do, they're just they're they're
both young. I mean, I'm not saying anything I haven't
said to that. I mean, because they're both nineteen. Wow,
holy moly. Wow they started dating when. Yeah, they're middle
of high school. So I mean they've been together three
(15:35):
years and are getting married with October.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
No.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
I definitely I didn't think you were.
Speaker 5 (15:40):
Because if he was, he wouldn't. He would be like,
this is so great, this is everything we've wanted. But
right now he's like, they're young. If he was Mormon,
I don't think. Is there a comment about you being young?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
No? I think no. I didn't think he was.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
But I have Mormon friends and they all get married
really young, right, and he lives West Coast, so maybe
I thought maybe I just didn't know Brent was Mormon. No, well,
yeah we're Christian, but yeah we uh yeah, we're getting ready.
They're getting married at a friend's families property, so we're
doing that and just all the things you don't think
about because it's outdoors, so you have to get restroom
(16:13):
trailers and yeah, figure out the catering. And I mean,
and my she's nineteen, Like she wanted no salad at
the I was like, Okay, they're going to be adults.
Speaker 8 (16:22):
We're not.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
We're not doing chicken tenders and fries for everybody at
the wedding.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
There's there's going to be salad. Sorry, that's fun. That's fun.
It's fun. Yeah, so we're excited. Nineteen I don't know
about that, But what are you going to do?
Speaker 6 (16:38):
Well?
Speaker 4 (16:39):
And that's what Julie and I talked about. You know,
they don't need our permission. You know, they're they're both adults.
So you know, we can choose to be supportive or
we can just you know, give them lectures all the
time that they're not ready. But you know, I mean,
like Gracie is amazing. I mean she's studying to be
a teacher, and I mean she's always gotten great grades
and I mean she's really responsible, Like that's that's all
(17:00):
in her mom. Like I mean It's just awesome and
and Logan's great. Logan's kind of studying to become a contractor.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Did he ask you? He did? Yeah, so back in March.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
Yeah, he took Yeah, but that was your chance to
say no, Brent right there.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Well okay, So even that I kind of got wrong
because I mean, Julie and I talked about this going
into it, and I was like, okay, do you want
me to tell them.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
You know they should wait a year? Or like, what
what do you want?
Speaker 4 (17:29):
And and we were totally on the different because I
was like, should we just be super supportive what they
want to do, because I mean it was in my
daughter's head she wanted to do it this fall and
so yeah, so Logan's like, you know, are you okay
with this fall? Do you think we should do this spring?
And I said, we support you no matter what ends.
Like as soon as we left the dinner, Julie was like,
(17:50):
I thought you were going to tell them maybe they
should wait.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Well, did you know he was going to ask you
to it? Yea was your daughter with you as well
when he asked no? So it was you your wife
and him yes.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
And he took us to dinner and he wanted to
be super respectful and paid for dinner. And yeah, I
know he's he's a very respectful young man. I mean, honestly,
we we hit the jackpot with him. He's he fits
in great with our family. He loves to play games
like we love to play games. Yeah, he's a hard worker.
He's he's awesome.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
You're right, though, what are you gonna do? Say no?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
And right, Like, they're adults. Yes, they're adults, and hopefully
you've readed a really responsible adult. Yeah, it is going
to make a lot of decisions. Hopefully most of them
are right, and the ones that aren't hopefully you learn from.
And yeah, if you feel like he's good, I gotta
support it. Yeah, Eddie, that's one year away from your son.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
Yeah. But I mean I have boys and kind of
like I feel it's funny like I look at them
now and I know which ones are gonna get married
early and which ones are gonna get married later, or
maybe one that's not even gonna get married, you know
what I mean. I can just kind of see the
way they interact with the people, or just kind of
how they are emotionally. I kind of know how they're
gonna be but a question for you, Brent. Yeah, when
(19:07):
they're planning the wedding and since you're paying for it,
do you ever tell them like that's too expensive, like
let's go cheaper.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
I mean we we definitely told her like what we
could afford and Relia, yeah, like we so we said, hey,
here's what we can do. And so yeah, we try
to stay within that.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
She was trying to save your money.
Speaker 7 (19:25):
Salad and then your friends, your friend's place.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Yeah, so I mean we we definitely got lucky that
we don't have to pay for a venue.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But yeah, just then, but then all the other things
you don't think about.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
So you have to bring in a dance floor, and
you know you have to you know, right, bring in
bathrooms and just all those different things.
Speaker 7 (19:43):
But you're doing an open bar.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
We we are not. They can't even drink. Yeah, so
that's a good point.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
We'll probably do champagne for toasts and we've talked about
maybe putting wine on the tables for the adults. But yeah,
I mean all their friends are the same general age,
so yeah, we're not.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
About the cops all come because they hear that the
raid and yeah, they raid and arrest everybody. F under
age drinking, or even better, Brent temps them off before
the actual Yeah, so they arrest them before the wedding,
they can't get married.
Speaker 7 (20:12):
That's the play right there.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Well, that's exciting. Yeah, I hope it all goes great.
What's the weather situation at that time of year?
Speaker 4 (20:19):
So we have looked, I mean it it's I know,
lall find something. It shouldn't rain like, we should be
good like October outdoor Saturday. It's Bakersfield doesn't rain a
whole lot anyway, but we should be good and it
shouldn't be too hot. Triple digits are over at that time,
so we should be good.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
That's exciting.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Yeah, what are you gonna wear? That's that's one thing
I have not figured out yet. So I'll have to
go find a tux or a nice suit or something.
And we're still figuring out the father daughter dance. She
told me she wanted to do Cane Brown backseat Drivers,
so maybe that's what we're gonna do.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Is that her only choice so far? Or she changed songs?
You know, we haven't like fully.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
I mean, I asked her, do you want to do
like go somewhere like do a choreographed thing. I mean,
if you thought that would be fine, I would do it.
Or she like, Dad, that's lame.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Yeah, Dad, that's lame. Brent.
Speaker 7 (21:10):
You should have you're connected, like Bobby had Ronnie Dunn
at his wedding. You should have Caine just come sing.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
It just right, like no problem, text it. Hey, hey, buddy,
what are you doing? You want to come to Bakersfield
in October? Congratulations? How long are you take? You till Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
And so you do all those meetings till Wednesday? Yeah,
do you do your morning show while you're out here?
Speaker 3 (21:30):
From here? No? So my co host is doing it
alone these next few days. How do you feel about that? Good?
Speaker 4 (21:36):
She's she's great, I know, so, I mean we're our
situation is, you know, I I do what Rad is here,
and like I do the board and and uh so,
I know she's a little nervous about pushing the buttons
because she doesn't normally do that on our show. But
she's great, she'll she'll do a good job. I mean,
she's already texted me a few times this morning, like, hey,
where's this.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
We're good. She's gonna tell her wrong a.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Little right, So then she messes up and respects and
appreciates how much you do.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
You know what, that's the that's the play.
Speaker 7 (22:04):
It's smart.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
Yeah, freak her.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Out, then she'll really appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Okay, everybody, good, Congratulations, everybody, Congratulations, Addie, good job, Thank you,
Amy Brent.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Here's you don't need to congratulations.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
Oh yeah, No, mine wasn't just like yay, you have
bad vision.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
No, you do hang up a.
Speaker 7 (22:24):
Party, then that's the party. Is the good one?
Speaker 3 (22:26):
You think you organized all that stuff?
Speaker 6 (22:28):
Well, I mean there was other hosts too. I was
in charge of games.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
We're going to go now to speaking of games, Amy
and I doing a celeb on the head game at
the end of this. We will definitely let you know
in case you missed who it was. We're trying to
name the celebs on our head I won last time.
I'll go first, my guy.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
Yes, am I a singer?
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah? Am I an actor?
Speaker 6 (23:01):
Uh? Guys, I mean the answer is yes, right.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
There you go, Okay, yeah, am I in a band?
Speaker 3 (23:12):
No?
Speaker 2 (23:15):
So I must be somebody that acts. But it's not
the main thing. If you're having it, consider the yes
or no? Uh?
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Am I over forty.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
No, But.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
You have to you just have to answer.
Speaker 6 (23:35):
I don't think so, but.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Let's fact check because I don't honestly.
Speaker 6 (23:42):
Know your age.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
I also think as much as we play this, we
should have a fact check role that we can only
go to the fact checkers, not this time, like one time,
because because if we're.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Just wrong, everybody, yeah, and then the comments.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
So stupid he's so stupid that doesn't count as fact check.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
But are you okay with that rule? We get one
fact check?
Speaker 6 (24:04):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Two fine? We get two fine.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
Okay, because I need to fact check this one. No,
he's not over forty. You're not over forty.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
So I'm a man actor under forty?
Speaker 6 (24:14):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (24:16):
Am I a woman?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Yes? Am I American?
Speaker 6 (24:23):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (24:28):
So do I sing solo professionally? Because I'm not in
a band?
Speaker 6 (24:36):
All right? So I sing, but it's not my main job.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I haven't said anything.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
Well the way you're thinking, I mean we should also
have a rule to answer.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I'm mostly thinking about tents.
Speaker 6 (24:46):
What do you mean tent?
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Huh t E n s E.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
Time frame in which I asked the question again, am
I a solo singer?
Speaker 6 (24:57):
That for money?
Speaker 3 (25:00):
That's not what you say. That's not what you said.
You can't change change the question after that was your
question of mind.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
I don't remember exactly how I asked, so.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Why I was struggling is the tense of it?
Speaker 6 (25:09):
Okay, got it?
Speaker 3 (25:11):
But what was your question?
Speaker 5 (25:13):
No?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
I forgot.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
Okay, is singing my profession? That's what I'm asking.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
And so my mind, I'm going no, but this, I'm
just going to talk tell you what I'm thinking. Just
kind of against the rules. But it has been Okay, okay,
but that's what thing. So I asked it wrong, But
I singing what I'm known for.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
That's my job.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Okay, so you'll come back.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
My answer is to your question when you said, is
singing my parentheses current profession?
Speaker 3 (25:47):
No?
Speaker 6 (25:48):
Got it?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Male actor under forty American? Am I fictional? Yes? Am
I such a big one?
Speaker 6 (25:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:02):
No, Okay, you.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Know I don't currently sing. But it took you that
long to answer. If I'm dead or alive.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
I'm just thinking about stuff, Okay, pregnant pause for no reason?
Speaker 6 (26:18):
No reason.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
If I'm a male actor and I'm fictional, but I
gotta be acting as the fictional character. It's not like
I'm a real person that's an actor playing a fictional character.
Because I would think i'd say, somebody like Zach Morris,
but he's not an actor. Zach Morris is not an actor.
He's a musician, but he's not an actor. Mark Paul
Gossler is the actor. So I can't guess that. So
I got to guess an actor, a fictional actor under forty,
(26:46):
like who would be acting? Who is a cartoon or
as a character on a show that acts? Somebody from Glee?
Do I also sing.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Am I? Out of fact checks?
Speaker 3 (27:02):
No, you haven't used one yet.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
Okay, you might. You may dabble, but but.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
You don't know me as singing.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
No, fair enough, let's see am I over.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
Fifty? No?
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Okay, am I animated?
Speaker 6 (27:33):
No?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Weird way to answer that, because you don't have to,
because just word way to answer that.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Am I fictional?
Speaker 7 (27:43):
No?
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Dan it? Am I in literature?
Speaker 5 (27:49):
No?
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Am I married?
Speaker 2 (27:59):
I would fact check that, but I'm just gonna row
on it and guess and maybe be wrong. Okay, I'm
going to fact check this. It's important. I would have
said no, but my answer she's married.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
She's married. Okay, Okay, glad I did thank you? Am
I on a TV show?
Speaker 6 (28:25):
Yes? Am I an actress?
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yes? Do you know hood?
Speaker 7 (28:33):
Is do you have it?
Speaker 5 (28:36):
No, but I'm getting I get where Like you know,
I'm an actress that sings. I get we're singing as
a profession.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Am I?
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Or was I in a popular sitcom?
Speaker 6 (28:56):
Sitcom?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Thirty minute comedy? Laugh track is an audience.
Speaker 6 (29:03):
I don't think there's a laugh track.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
But that's how we define sitcom.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
I don't think it's called a sitcom.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Okay, so no, is it a sitcom?
Speaker 6 (29:14):
You need one of your fas you said, the rule
doesn't reply today, it's not today.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I said that one the first question you asked.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Oh, I thought you said just this round. I thought
you meant the first one you asked.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
I said, we're not going to count that one as
a fact. That's a free one.
Speaker 6 (29:27):
That's all I got.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Okay, I have a question on that.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
If if somebody says something that's false, you have to
just let us Okay.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
What do I say that's false and let the comments
just eat us up? Okay?
Speaker 5 (29:38):
Noah, what what could I have said that's false?
Speaker 3 (29:42):
He didn't even say it was you that sits on
the false. I'm just saying, in general, if somebody says
something and it's like yeah, you have to let us
go okay and just get eaten.
Speaker 6 (29:49):
Alive by the comments like, am I not a woman?
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Okay? My turn, No, it's your turn. You did sitcom?
Speaker 6 (29:58):
Yeah? Okay, let's see. Was I a child star?
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Yeah? Okay, under forty, I'm a dude. I'm an actor
a television show kind of a sitcom and not really
it's a show. What show had people acting? Am I
(30:35):
from the nineties?
Speaker 5 (30:39):
I mean, you were in the nineties, but I don't
know that you start. You didn't start in the nineties,
is my Okay?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
What was the biggest thing that I am?
Speaker 3 (30:47):
I based in the.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
Nineties, You had some fame, you were peaking.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
It's a yes or no.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
Yes, you were well known in the nineties.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Okay, yes, So.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
It has to be more than the nineties, and it
has to be like a version of something that was
brought back and.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
It was also big enough.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (31:13):
In my turn, I feel like you're gonna get close
and I want to just go for something. Have I
recently toward.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I don't actually know the answer, but I'm not gonna
use my second challenge because I don't think it's important enough.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
It's important enough to me.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
But if I'm wrong. I'm wrong, but I'm gonna go.
Speaker 6 (31:47):
No, that's a waste of a question. It's not because
if you could fact check it in your I.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Don't think I need to fact check it.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
I feel pretty confident about this really that you haven't
recently toured eighty eight percent.
Speaker 6 (31:59):
If you, then I'm not who I think I am.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Okay, I'm fictional, so I gotta be. I'm not a
cartoon I'm on a show in the nineties. I act
like who was on a TV show in the nineties
that was a TV show?
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Like that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
It's like, I have to be somebody that was on
a TV show inside of a TV show, or it
could be a movie star inside of a TV show.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
So am I a movie star inside of a TV show?
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Am I? But the nineties that would be something like Entourage,
But that was like two thousand's because Vinnie was an
actor and they'd show him American is the actor that
(33:01):
plays me? Really famous? No, No, I have no clue.
As you can tell, I must have no clue. It
is because I mean, I'm somewhere. I'm in a neighborhood
I never been before. I got no GPS.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
Do I have blonde hair. You don't know.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
I'll go yes, but hair's weird because one one.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
Can you fact check this? No, you can't.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Just I'm gonna say I'm wasting a lot of questions.
You're not wasting. I'm gonna say yes, but people's hair
change colors. No, traditionally, I've traditional Okay, is your question?
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Traditionally?
Speaker 6 (33:41):
My question is.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
The person I'm thinking of has always had blonde hair? Okay,
ask the question, have I always had blonde hair?
Speaker 6 (33:52):
I would say no, what I am, not who I
think I am.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
I keep clinging on to her and I need to
let it go.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
But it also could be the person you're thinking.
Speaker 6 (34:02):
No, because you would say, yeah, that blonde hair.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
So yes or no, Okay, I'll fact check, guys, I've
always has she always had blonde hair?
Speaker 3 (34:12):
No, Okay, she doesn't.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
I just I struggle with hair colors and colors in general.
So I don't want to send you up that creek
without a pound.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
Now I have. Now I I'm back to square one.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
I don't even have a square.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Because when I said, does the is the actor famous
the plays where you laughed like it couldn't even be
a because it's a fictional character, fictional person on a
television show.
Speaker 7 (34:35):
Is it a.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
It's not a sitcom, but it's something And I was
thinking like nine oh two one oh, but they don't act,
so it can't be like Brandon Walsh or Brenda Walsh.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
They're not actors.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
I mean, we might be here all day.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
I always suck at this game. Whenever I win, it's
because you go completely off track and you.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Can't, which is back on where I feel today. Okay,
so no one plays me.
Speaker 7 (35:12):
Am I?
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Am I an animal?
Speaker 5 (35:16):
Oh a, Colleen, I don't think so.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
Is he an animal?
Speaker 3 (35:30):
Any fact checking?
Speaker 6 (35:31):
Yes, this is You're not an animal. You're not an animal.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
No, why would that even be something you have to
think about?
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Well, you had to think about if I was.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
Dead, I'm thinking about I'm under fifty.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Okay, I don't even know how many fact checks we
have left, if any?
Speaker 6 (35:56):
Oh, okay, that's your question. Am I in? Am I?
Am I? In movies?
Speaker 7 (36:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Okay, if you're even wondering if I'm an animal like
Teen Wolf was eighties, I'm not animated. Dinosaurs was not
t g I F. I don't even know the name
(36:34):
of the the baby and dinosaur God Love me, Yeah,
but alf didn't act alf huh nothing. I'm thinking of
things aren't human that you maybe think. Maybe you think
(36:57):
Alf is an animal?
Speaker 6 (36:59):
How would I not be an actor? It's a character.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
But he's not an actor in his fictional version. He's fictional,
but he's not an actor. He's an alien, just lives
in the house. He's a job's not acting.
Speaker 6 (37:10):
Oh, who see?
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Am I alf?
Speaker 2 (37:19):
My whole thing what you told me was I'm an actor,
so I have to a fictional so I have to
be acting in the fictional But now.
Speaker 5 (37:25):
I'm wondering if this is why Mike was asking God.
But I would think actor, and I can back this up.
I'll bring receipts. Let's see, because I would say Alf's
an actor.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Alphi's not an actor. Alf Alfice lives in the house.
He can't leave the house.
Speaker 5 (37:47):
Did Alf ever act in any other things other than
the TV show he was on?
Speaker 6 (37:51):
Was he in commercials?
Speaker 3 (37:54):
That's a good that's a valid point. I don't know
the answer to that. That's a valid point.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
Uh so, did I have a wild party phase?
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Yeah, I'm Oscar the Grouch, No son of a gun.
Speaker 5 (38:10):
You know, I'm about to get it. Lindsay Lohan, Yes, okay,
big Bird are close?
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Am I Big Bird?
Speaker 2 (38:21):
No Bird Ernie, no Cookie Monster, no uh count count Dracula,
no count count the count. Okay, it's a not Sesame
Street Rover tick on me, Almo.
Speaker 6 (38:36):
Out of a gun.
Speaker 5 (38:40):
I almost asked you, I have a lot of freckles,
but such a good one on my head. That is
a great you know who I thought I was for
the longest time and I couldn't shake it.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
Hillary Duff same, Yeah, so Lindsay Loman has songs. But right,
you're right.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Never really was much the hair thing. I bet it's
really blonde right now, but I'd think of her is
like having brains.
Speaker 6 (39:01):
No, you're right, she has red hair.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Was her acting thing, the one that you get actors
because I don't know if Elmo is being an actor
and anything.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
No.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
Elmo has for sure performed in other things beside Sesame Street,
so therefore he's an actor.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
No, no, no, you have to be an actor on You
have to be an actor on something, not acting things.
If you're playing yourself as a fictional role, you're just
being yourself. If Elmo had a role and a show
on a show, that would be Elmo was an actor.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
But is but Elmo's acting as Elmo. He doesn't really act.
Speaker 6 (39:37):
I'm sure he yeah, I'm sure he had to perform for.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
All his Tickle uh this Tickle group when well, I'm
sure when he was advertising.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
For that it was okay, partial protest. But you win,
thank you? All right, good job. It's time for the
good news.
Speaker 5 (39:59):
Already.
Speaker 7 (40:03):
There's a marching band from Mississippi and they're gonna go
on a huge trip to Honolulu, Hawaii. They're gonna go
see Pearl Harbor and all that stuff. But while they're
in Hawaii, they go to Waikiki. They're on the beach
and one guy named Griffin, he's a band member. He
hears someone screaming, like three hundred yards away in the water.
There's a dude drowning. Hey, so he gets his buddy Mason,
(40:24):
let's go save him. So Griffin's a lifeguard back home.
He goes in the water, doesn't think twice, saves this
guy from drowning. Here's the crazy.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Part that was already crazy. They're on Trump and he
saves somebody. I know, it's even crazier.
Speaker 7 (40:36):
The guy that they saved was the travel agent that
booked the whole trip.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 7 (40:45):
He was so grateful that they saved him. He goes,
you know what, I'm wanna book your next one for free.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
His fee A good one. That's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
That tell me something good.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
It's time for the good news.
Speaker 8 (41:08):
Disney and Starlight Children's Foundation are helping kids around the
world see Toy Story five. And I'm not talking normal kids.
I'm talking kids getting medical treatment that are stuck in
the hospital, can't go to the movie theater. So what
they do They linked up to four hundred different hospitals
around the world and brought Toy Story to them, set
(41:28):
up special screening rooms, magical places. They even had the
characters show up and greet the kids and have fun,
and they gave them away eighteen thousand toys about Toy
Story five to these kids.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
That's really cool. I like mascots, though it doesn't matter
the mascot. I don't love a mascot as an adult.
I love a mascot came out to being a kid.
The Toy Story character show up.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
Yeah, and then when you're in the hospital, you know,
get those boring gowns. It's like, oh, this is so cool.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
Cringey.
Speaker 8 (41:56):
Oh no, they donated thirty four thousand toy Story five
gowns of the kids so they can dress in style.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
That's pretty neat. Good job by Day. Oh way, you
think it's over. I thought it was over. I really
thought we were about to end it.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
Oh no.
Speaker 8 (42:08):
You know those people that play Woody and Buzz.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
And all them, they're A listers, right, the people that
play them to Tallon. I'm yeah. Oh.
Speaker 8 (42:16):
They set up video calls with the kids with the
A listers, so they chimed into the little screening said hey,
enjoy the movie. Really, hope you guys get better keep
fighting things like that.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
Bam, now they're done.
Speaker 7 (42:27):
Okay, all right, they're done. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
I'm afraid if I get out something else, he's gonna
do it again. See I would pause.
Speaker 8 (42:32):
You guys like, wow, that's amazing, but it just kept
going and going and going.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
That's cool for those kids us on aside, So it's
nothing to do with that. That's an amazing story.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
That's twice very five good, Mike.
Speaker 7 (42:43):
Really good, one of the best movies of the year.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
That's crazy that A five could still be that good.
Speaker 7 (42:48):
I know.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Usually by about three, it's over home alone. Three not
it sucked. Yeah, Four wasn't great, but five was good.
What happened in what was the theme in five?
Speaker 7 (42:58):
It's essentially a Jesse's story, so of like what happened
in part one, but from Jesse's perspective.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Is Jesse the cowgirl?
Speaker 4 (43:03):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (43:04):
And who plays Jesse Joan Cusack.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
Okay, well, boys like it even even though it's about
because you know, as a kid boy, you don't want
to watch anything that's girl.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
Hold on. John Cusack plays a chick.
Speaker 7 (43:14):
No Joan Jones.
Speaker 3 (43:16):
I don't know who that is.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
It's a great story, that's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
That was telling me something good.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Okay, if you missed who it was, I had Elmo
and Amy had.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Hold On. I have it on my sheet here because
we did that on Friday. We recorded on Friday after
the show. Have Linda lindsay.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
We said those we tried to say, I'm now in
the actual video, but sometimes if we don't, listeners get.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
Really mad at us.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
Two redheads.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Okay, all right, there you go.
