Uh So I went to visit my daughter at work

see her look at another girl that she's working with,
and she didn't have to do anything, you know, like
she could have acted the whole time like I'm just
a normal customer and I would have done the same thing.

But then she turned to the girl and she smiled,
and she goes, that's my mom, and then the girl
smiled and then she smiled again, and I don't know,
there's something in that moment that it just filled me
with joy, like I can't even tell the story now
without smiling, like from ear to ear, because it just
felt good that she acknowledged me to someone else that

she worked with and she didn't have to, and maybe
just something inside me also likes to hear like, that's
my mom.

loved it. Great memories. Well, yesterday my son got called up.
He's not playing basketball this year, this over the summer,

but a team called him up. They were short one players,
so like, can he play Sunday morning at eight am?
So he was like, yeah, sure, I'd love to. So
it's just me and him. We woke up early, we
played the game, and I was like, hey, look Shipley's Donuts.
I didn't know we had one in Nashville, so We
stopped in there and I was He's like, Dad, what
do I get here? He's like, my order was always
cinnamon twist and chocolate milk, and he got the same thing.

It was great. We sat there for like an hour.
We ate the donuts and we talked and it was
just good one on one time with me and my
son loved it.

how the ball's flow and stuff like that.

So we went to Gary, Indiana, and that's where we
met the nice lady who was a little bit infatuated

know if that was my tip or not, but I
brought it back. I wanted to make sure you guys
had this one dollar bill, and we're like, oh, we
were gonna give it to you, but put it in

booked for next year, So they're true friends of ours.

Now new people are coming in. He's like, I can
hang out with us, but you got a book last year.

And then I also went to a coffee shop that
looks like Star Wars. So I felt like a tourist
in Nashville for the day.

know if that was my tip or not, but I
brought it back. I wanted to make sure you guys
had this one dollar bill, and we're like, oh, we

saw his wife say that you guys been on the cruise.

Yeah, in their book for next year.
Speaker 9 (14:27):
So trying to found out, I was pissed.
Speaker 12 (14:29):
I was like, we're leaving Chicago early to go hang
out with people you knew for three hours.
Speaker 9 (14:33):
This is stupid.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
No, it's not stupid.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
It is they already planned for friends to come to town,
regardless of you're not the friend gatekeeper if they had
planned for friends to come to town and he's and
that had been planned before.
Speaker 12 (14:47):
But this is way. We've been doing Papa shot since
December of last year. This is so you want to
look at before you have.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
You weren't even going until a week ago.
Speaker 9 (14:54):
We've been talking about it since December.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
All came about and going. You were not going?
Speaker 9 (14:57):
Did I have been telling emails and everything I don't
want but you.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Again, you weren't even going until a week and a
half ago.
Speaker 12 (15:05):
Officially, yes, but we had been planning a version of
a trip for six months.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
So you wanted him based on your light planning to
not have these friends down and once they're already scheduled
for him to go. Well, we've kind of been light
planning this, so I really won't be back in time
to see you.
Speaker 9 (15:20):
But like he could have shut up later in the
afternoon or something like, hey, you guys have no.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
You're trying to dictate his day, he committed.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
That's my problem is that that he only knew these
friends for a few hours. Yeah, and then now they're
at his house.
Speaker 13 (15:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (15:32):
It just kind of like the Soldier's Convention. I remember
in Vegas the one time you're like, who are these people?
I knew I made him three minutes ago.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
But he's known as wife forever and he needs to
be there with her as these people come to town.
Speaker 3 (15:42):

Speaker 9 (15:43):
Okay, you talked to those people or is it more
your wife talks to him.
Speaker 11 (15:47):
We hung out with them the entire week, bro, I
was on that cruise for seven days. We did lobster
dinner with them one night. We went to the pool
three times. You don't have to defend yourself. We did
espresso martini knights like four times. I guess what they're
booked for next year, So they're true friends of ours.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Now new people are coming in. He's like, I can
hang out with us, but you got a book last year.
Speaker 11 (16:05):
You will meet them next year, and you're gonna hang
out with them, and you're probably gonna become friends with
them too.
Speaker 9 (16:10):
I'm sure they're nice people. But we were in Chicago,
you know.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
But that's a you selfish thing because your family's not here,
your family's gone, and so you're like, I have nothing
to do, and it's almost time for you to get sad,
which is about this point where you get sad, and
so you didn't want to come home to sadness.
Speaker 11 (16:25):
If it was a Wrigley Cubs game, I would have
done it. But when you said White Sox, that wasn't
a great pitch I needed. I needed to know more
about the lake. I need you to tell me about
the beach. I didn't know the beach was going to
be rocking. You're from that area, you should know about this.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
From wild We're not giving them both.
Speaker 9 (16:44):
I thought he went to college like an hour outside
of Chicago. I went to college there.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
I did.
Speaker 9 (16:48):

So he's summer there, Okay, Morgan.
Speaker 13 (16:54):
H Yeah, I was like a tourist in Nashville on Saturday.
Speaker 8 (16:57):
I went and tried three new places that popped up here,
and I had so much fun. I got to try
a gluten free for Kasha bread at a new sandwich shop,
and then there's this new frozen yogurt restaurant that had
really healthy like ingredients and.
Speaker 13 (17:10):
Stuff and it was the line was insanely long.
Speaker 8 (17:14):
And then I also went to a coffee shop that
looks like Star Wars. So I felt like a tourist
in Nashville for the day.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Town.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (17:21):
They were all in the area of Wedgwood, Houston, which
has just blown up over the past year, and they
were like.
Speaker 13 (17:26):
All within a few blocks of each other, so we
just kind of walked around and.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Tried new spots.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
Is that Star Wars themed?
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Kind of?
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (17:32):
It really felt like you walked into Star Wars.
Speaker 8 (17:35):
And it's called Cafe Babu, so it has like a
funny name, which makes me think it's Star Wars.
Speaker 13 (17:40):
But I felt like a tourist for a day.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
What about the you went to Culture Club?
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Right?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Yeah, okay? Is that I always see the longest line?
Is it worth the wait?
Speaker 13 (17:49):
So thankfully when we went, it was right after I
think the lunch rush.
Speaker 8 (17:53):
We only had to wait about fifteen minutes, but we
heard people in mine that had waited an hour and
a half the night before. Crazy, and we would not
have waited in that line. But it was worth it
for a fifteen minute wait.
Speaker 13 (18:04):
It was really good.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
I can see that I've always seen the line is
so long. I'm like, okay, I know.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
And Culture Club is it's a.
Speaker 8 (18:10):
Frozen yogurt and they have like a bunch of toppings.
They even have dairy free and gluten free options. It's
all sourced locally to all their ingredients.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
The toppings are supposed to be the next level though,
and there are the next level uh more gourmet, not
just like your typical like open up a candy bag
and dump it in the ball sprinkles.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
There's nothing. This is just elevating.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
Yah, I said, not just your typical, which I am
okay with typical. But there that's the reason why it's
people are coming and waiting.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
You can give it like what four months, and then
we can there's no one.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Well, there's a coffee place in town that people wait
an hour for. Oh yeah, la la land and I've
had coffee from there. It's fine, it's even fine, pretty good.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
It's time for the good news, Bobby.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Do we like stories where people leave teddy bears behind
and they reunited the teddy bear with the kid?
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Yeah, okay, you do like those? Yes, okay.

So a teddy bear was left behind at Dallas Fort
Worth International Airport, and so the employees and American Airlines
they know that it was this kid's because they saw
the kid with it. And so Patrick Webb of Fort
Worth was with his family that were going on vacation.
The bear, whose name was Bobby, was quickly located in
the Admiral's Club lounge because the family did report it missing,
(19:31):
and so they basically tracked down the family and got
them the teddy bear.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
That do we like that?
Speaker 4 (19:38):
Yeah, it would be weird if you were like, nah.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Well you could just ignore it.

I think a lot of people are saying, just throw
it away.

I think that's the good part of the story, right.
A lot of people do probably go.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
Or see the bear and they just don't do anything
with it.

Yeah, they took pictures of Bobby the bear and treat.
It's weird to say my own name, guys, and third person,
it's bizarre because I never say.

An honorary Airline team member, was photographed visiting airport operations here. Yeah,
like that Stanley assisting baggage activities, greeting customers, and they
got him back with the kid.

Yeah, because teddy bears are really important to kids, Like
some kids have an attachment to some teddy bears for
a long time.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Wait until my kid gets older. AI teddy Bear, I've
heard about it. I think it's a great thing happening.

Jake Brockmeyer is a fire captain in the Saint Louis
Fire Department. He's sitting at home when he gets an
SOS alert to his phone from his daughter, who's seventeen
years old, a mile from the house. He rushes to
the scene. She had lost control over car on the
wet ground, crossed the line, boom, hit another car. She
was unconscious, not breathing. He pulled his own daughter out
(20:55):
of the car, performed CPR on.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
His own kids. Terrible All because he got that alert.
Speaker 10 (21:01):
Yeah, all because he got that alert. She went under
emergency surgery for a punctured lung, broken femur, pelvis, and jawl.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Do you know what the alert was like? Because I
know my some family members have like a Life three
sixty and it tells you immediately when there's a car accident.

It's the Apple so Os, it's Apple watch.

I that's crazy. It was his own daughter, Like what
I would. I'm glad he got there. I'd rather it
be a trained paramedic. If you're the only one there,
you got to do it. I'd rather be a trained
paramedic that doesn't have an emotional connection with the person,
because I think I would just be such a mess
that I'd be not able to perform in a way

that's probably needed to perform.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Right, Am I even making sense that I was so crazy?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
No, I think like, yeah, you kind of like I
would freeze up.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
It's like, you don't want to have to be emotional
in a situation where you need to do everything exactly right.
I won't want my doctor if I'm going in for
a brain surgery or something, Oh, my doctor, it's another
day at the office. I don't want him to be
his heart rate up. I don't want them to be like,
oh boy, here we go. I needed to be another
day at the office. Something he's done a hundred times
that he's good at that's it. Or she's good at yes.

Anytime you've worked with brain people, they've been men.

Yeah.
