Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for the good news. Yeah, around the room,
let's switch it up. How do you go first?
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Man? I forgot about this, but last week I was
playing golf and I saw my first goldfinch.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
I don't know what that means. It's a bird, a.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Bright yellow bird. And I was like, oh, my goodness.
I've seen these in books, I've seen them online, but
I've never seen one in person.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. There
were about ten of them and they were all flying
around the tree. They were being loud and they're so bright.
I took all these pictures. I loved this.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
That was like, neon, I'm looking at one now. Yeah,
an American goldfinch, very yellow. I would think it was
a tweetybird with like a little black on a little
on black.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It does look like tweetybird.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yes, it's also got a little black on the head too,
a little bit. Yeah. Is that what tweetybird is? I
don't think so tweety or a canary.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I feel like it's a canary because I feel like
Sylvester I said, I want to get that canary.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
It's a yellow canary. Okay, are canaries goldfinches, and.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I've never seen a canary. I feel like canaries you
get at like bird stores.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Canaries you send it to coal mines to make sure
that people aren't going to die when they go on
there and breathe.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I've heard about that.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, yeah, they're closely related, though really, goldfinches and canaries
are distinct birds, though both belong to the same scientific
bird family, the finch family, also called the fringaladai.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
And I've seen housefinches. I've seen I've.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Seen son of a finches. Okay, a couple of them
here right, n of us. That's exciting. Do you just
see that?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Dude, is so exciting. Like I was playing with my
kids and I was like, guys, guys, look, look, look,
look that is a that's a goldfinch, and they're like, cool, Dad,
let's keep going.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
That's fun that you have that.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
What love for birds?
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Well, so who had it first?
Speaker 1 (01:53):
This is not a competition, because I would say that
for both of you.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Wait, I don't remember when I was bringing my obsession
of birds.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
I don't remember anybody ever saying I love that you
have that.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
I don't have that, and I feel like I would.
I don't care. But I'm saying it's fun that you
guys have something that you enjoy that you could just
like look up and be like, oh that's cool, my
days brighter. What's up today?
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Nothing?
Speaker 5 (02:16):
I know. If you want me to be honest, take
a breath. I feel like I was made fun of
for my.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Bird more than birds, like a little bit like.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Wait what No, I haven't No, that was just me
reacting like today.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Making up this story.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Here's the thing. I think your bird thing where we
were a little like we made funny as you you
thought the birds were talking to you airport that.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
They're not talking to me. I just think the doves
my dad.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
It's also crazy, but I can't prove you're wrong.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
That's the thing. I can't prove you wrong. It feels crazy,
but I can't prove you wrong. Like I moved, but
what I meant was for both of you.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Thank you for clarifying.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
That's cool that you have that.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
No, I'm gloody clarified. That helps.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I mean, have you seen a goldfinch?
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Good you have?
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Okay, she seen one. She catches them, talking to them,
freeze them. They land on her shoulder on a summer day.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
It's all good.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
That's good, Goldfinch, it is okay, let's go to Morgan.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
I'm feeling really good today.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
I got my hair done, got her hair done. Baby,
how are you feeling good? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (03:33):
I got my eyebrows wax.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
I get a facial today.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Like, I am just feeling really good right now. It's
crazy how much like resetting just makes you feel like
yourself again.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
How much you cast you to get your hair done?
Is that normal?
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Oh my gosh, shave it off?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, oh, shave it okay. To be fair, you don't
do it as much as guys get haircuts.
Speaker 8 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I go every six to eight weeks, so I would say, guys,
go whatever, three weeks.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I don't know that.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
It's still one hundred fifty bucks a haircuts.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
So she's getting it cut in color.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
It's a different world. It's expensive, but it's a different world.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Do you guys ever go to the hairplace just to
get it done, like just to like it, like a.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Blow Like I know I shouldn't jump in, just let
the girls talk about that. Yeah, girls, what do you
guys know?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Definitely a blowout? Yeah, you can totally go and do that.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Okay, it's so costly, probably one hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
And that's just for the day, right, Like you just
look good for the day.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Well, the blowout will last you several days.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, if you don't wash it, sleep on it.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Yeah, if you take care of it.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Would you explain to them what a sorry? Would you
explain to all of us what a blow out.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Is because we don't getting it professionally blown out so
you don't have to do it and styled and it
like lifts the hair.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
Off of your head too, so it feels more styled
than like what you do at your house.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Wow, that is amazing.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I did not know.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Hey, you learn something near.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I learned something new every day. Wow, lunchbox, tell me
something good.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Oh yeah, I got me email last night. My seven
year old has been selected for the seven year old
All Star team for baseball. We thought baseball season was over,
but nah, boom. Practice starts tomorrow. So he is an
All Star and he's really excited.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
That's awesome, dude, what is your excitement level?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
No, I'm excited for him. I mean, I think it's great.
I'm I'm just thought we were doing baseball and so hey,
here we go. If he likes it, I like it.
I'm glad that they recognize that he's good.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
So none of you is like, oh crap, more baseball. No, okay,
that's good.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
No.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Kind of sound like that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, that's why I asked.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
No, no, because we had put the baseball stuff, you know,
in the shed, and we were like, all right, here
we go, like it's time for you know, pool season,
and now we have to juggle pool season and baseball season.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Like are they swimmers or do you mean just like
hanging at the pool?
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Well, going to the pool?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Can you be an all star at pool season?
Speaker 7 (05:48):
Well?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I think you can, but you know, sometimes like when
he has practice, you know, and the other brothers want
to go to the pool, it's going to be divide
and conquer.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
That's cool. It made all start. It just did sound
like your initial approach was, oh, man.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Oh that's my fault. I know, I'm super excited like
I was, and I was, but I was nervous that
maybe he might not want to do it. You don't know,
And so you go to him like, hey man, it's
not gonna be the same team. It's gonna be different
kids that you don't know. And he was like, oh,
I want to play dad, all right, let's go.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
That's a cool position as he played. Do they not
really have They don't really have They switch every inning? Really, yeah,
at least in the regular seas. I mean maybe on
the All Stars they'll be have set positions. But he'd
play shortstop, second base, left field, catcher every inning they changed.
I feel like that'd be confusing. Yeah, they switched to
every inning. Feels like a recipe to not win. Well,
like every three innings. I get it because you want
kids to play and get experienced everywhere, but I think
(06:36):
I would just get lost.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Yeah, well he was the problem every three innings. Games
only last about three innings because you get about an
hour other times. Yeah, and so you don't get that
many innings.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
We get an hour and a half. Whoa yeah older though,
no seven seven yeah, seven and see. So he told
me this, and he was like, hey, I.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Guess the kids are gonna playa my.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Son what made the All Star team, but different league,
so they won't face I won't play each other.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
You're in the hour and a half league.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, I guess in the league where you stay in
your position for most of the time.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Just got to be like the rules of that area,
I guess yeah, or coach preference. Yeah, I think it's
coach's decision, like there's every team doesn't have to do that, right.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Oh oh are you you're not the coach?
Speaker 3 (07:20):
No, I coached by two younger ones, broh, coach, let's
do like three?
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Oh, but you're right if they if they only played
three innings, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Yeah, two two, same position, then you can change the
last one.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Up if it were seven or nine five even that
would take all day. Amy, tell me something good.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
So with all of our blood work talk going on,
like I got mine done a few months ago, then
Eddie and Lunchbock's got their.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Bobby, you got yours.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
So then my daughter started talking about her blood work
and wanting to get it done and she just started nineteen.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
So I was like, okay, it's probably a good idea.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
To like, let's see where your hormones are, what's going on.
And we booked it appointment and she was going to
go by herself because that's what she want to do.
And then I got a text from her last night
saying will you go with me? And that just warmed
my heart because I feel like I still have opportunities
to be a mom even though she's feeling very grown
up an adult. And I thought it was it was
(08:16):
just like a feel good mom moment that she texted
me last night asking if I could go.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
So now when it's not it's doney, it is today.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Y, it's today at two fifteen.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Well, I don't need that part. I just I don't
want to like the time. No, I just want to
what doctor's office happen?
Speaker 5 (08:33):
Well, no, I'm just glad she didn't make it for
you know, if she said nine thirty, I would have said, oh, shoot,
I have work, like either we can reschedule it or
just or I would have to say I can't go.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
But because she had made the appointment for two fifteen,
I can go.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
That's good.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Sweet Mine's I think pretty small. I found a show
and my wife put me on it. But we started
watching it. Did you know, Mike will No, there's a
new Spider Man out? Oh yeah, yeah, more and you
know who Spider Man is? Amy No, Nick Cage.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Really.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
So here's the thing, though, you can watch it in
color black and white. What are you gonna do from what?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Well, we've already started watching it in color.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Yeah, but go, is he elderly?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, okay, it's Spider Man as an older man who
stopped being Spider Man because some crap happened, and so
he's just a private detective, but he he's Spider Man
and like the town's gone, but he's sixty That sounds cool.
It's so interesting, Mike, is this a real story of comic?
Speaker 8 (09:30):
It's a comic, but it was also in the animated
Spider Man movie into the Spider Verse, Nicholas Cage voiced
the character, and.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Then they made no way.
Speaker 8 (09:37):
Yeah, so it started as an animated character and now
they're like, let's make a real live action show out
of it.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Oh and so in real life Nicholas Cage is only
sixty two. I'm sorry, I thought he was way older.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
In real life Nicholas Cage though also Spider Man.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yes, that's why he's playing him, because he really is him.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
I'm glad you like it.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah. My wife said, hey, I've been hearing about this
show on Amazon that I think you'll like, and and
she pretty much nails recommendations, especially when it's for me.
And I said, well, what is it? She goes, I
don't know, something Marvel and I said, is it the
new Spider Man spider Noir? Because noir means black, I'm
pretty sure, and I think that means because it's dark,
you can watch it dark.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (10:14):
It's also like a style of movie.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah, the nineteen forties nor movies. They're all crime movies.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Oh, I thought, because you could pick to watch a
version black and white, and because it tells you pick
which one you want, color or black. My wife goes,
who's going to pick black and white? I said, called
book nerds me. Yeah, like, I'm going to watch it,
and I want to watch it in black and white.
It's shot very nineteen twenties feeling, but it's really it's
a really cool idea that Spider Man is older and
(10:40):
he quit being Spider Man, and so now I don't know,
he might have to be Spider Man again.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
How many episodes have you watched? I've only watched the
first one.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Are they all out?
Speaker 1 (10:49):
I don't know. We finished the first one and it
said I want to go to the second one, so
we just hit yes and got about halfway through and
then my wife fell asleep, So I don't know. I
don't think they're all out now, it's I don't want
to say it's purposefully a little bit hokey.
Speaker 8 (11:06):
Yeah, just that time period is kind of like yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Yeah, like it's purposefully that. But I love Spider Man's
I love I love superheroes. Morgan, how many of you.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Watched I haven't watched it yet. It was on my
watch list.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
I was so when you said that, I was like
curious to know if it was any good. I'm kind
of nervous to watch it, just because it is different
from typical Marvel stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
The only reason I know what noir means is black
noir and the boys.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Is that a character?
Speaker 1 (11:31):
And black black Noir means black black black black?
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Really, and what's noir? Is that like French or something black? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Yeah, yeah, established that.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
I know it from pantyhose?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Is that is that what they say when you're yeah,
do you want your what it?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
It's a weird word to say. I don't think I
say it right.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Either on the pantyhose. That's so I remember, how.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Would you say? Like it's a w That's what I'm
sad you.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Okay, but it's also weird You've determined. I guess I
have some speech impediment. What do you want to call it?
Speaker 4 (12:16):
What is?
Speaker 5 (12:16):
It's either my hearing is off or my speeches off.
Where I think I'm saying, no.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
One judging you.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
We just wanted to know it again.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Job.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
I mean, maybe I'm about to start my.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Period, but I don't hold on speaking of you know,
like have you heard her headphones?
Speaker 1 (12:32):
How would I have heard her headphones?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Like somebody put her headphones on and they're like, oh
my gosh, how does she hear with these? And she's
never complained about them one bit?
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Who put on my headphones? Who put on my headphones?
Speaker 2 (12:47):
That you used your jack, not your actual headphones.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Oh, you have to wiggle it. You have to wiggle
the jack.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
What does that have to do with anything?
Speaker 5 (12:56):
If you wiggle it just right, you don't hear the
I get what he's saying.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
For my outlet.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
If if it's like not in there properly, or it's
in there too much, it's a weird south so you
have to.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Pull it out.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
What you're doing is listening to it the wrong way,
because if it's in all the way and it's loud,
that's what it's supposed to do.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
No, it's not too loud.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
It's like it's like overmodulated.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Yeah, it's like cuts in an out.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
I can't figure Amy's headphone jacks.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Well, I just made it work, Like why would I
come like what it? Probably it would take forever, Like I.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Just haven't felt like say anything, Like I figured out
how to make it work and catall.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
A new one, like I have my almost broken two
weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
They gave me a new one okay.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
And a new one. Yeah, both my ears work if
I have wiggled it into the right position.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
You shouldn't have to do that that.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Hey, sure, but I've been wiggling like this.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
For a year. There's been enough data over it even
the past year that shows you're kind of second dangling
around here. So you need to have your stuff fixed.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I don't want to be a pain, Like it's fine if.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
You just go a pain to get the equipment that
you use every day.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
If you come look at my headphone, it's like pugged
in Yeah easily.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah, our engineer is back on Monday. You'll have a
new one.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Then as long as you just barely slid in there,
shouldn't have to do that.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
It works just fine.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
But occasionally sometimes I don't have time to mess with it,
Like right when I get here, if someone has been
in my seat and I have to replug it in.
I'm trying to get it situated, and you and I
will already start working on things, and sometimes you'll be
like you'll be if you ever are wondering what's going
on with me or why maybe I can't hear it's that,
but I just let it. I just like pretend like
everything's fine.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Also as soon as Amy walks in the room, because
I'll be in here and sometimes every once in a while,
fairly she does beat me, like once a week she'll
beat me here, and but so it's not every day,
but I'll be in I'll work and then she'll come
in and as soon as her butt hits that seat,
I just have the expectation that we roll like commercials anything.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
So I just have to roll with it.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
You flip her computer up every day, and it's like,
don't think it's making every sound possible, because so that's our.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Morning, right, right, But I've never told you so if
that's if you're if something's ever off right when I'm
sitting down and you're like, what the heck, I'm just
trying to roll with it.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
We did get our studio. Here's the one. Our studio
is fixed from the glass room where that big thing
was hanging down blocking half the glass.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
How much did that cost? I wondered what what? I wondered?
How much that cost?
Speaker 1 (15:23):
You can ask someone because I would think nothing.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Really, it was like hanging seemed costly.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
But they had to take that whole window.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
They had to remove.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
I couldn't get in there. Oh I didn't know all.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
That like fabric fell.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
I'm like, didn't staple that?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, that's what That's what I was thinking. They used
like glue or like two way tape to hold it up.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
And so this time they went and pulled the frame off,
pulled the glass off, and they stable gunned it in.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
Like I had to break to you, there's still a
little bit of it hanging down.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Take away again. We're trying to get Amy's headphone jack fixed.
At this point, Amy, will you say the word again?
The color of the panteos New York? Okay, So I
looked it up. It's no war.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
No war. Nobody says no.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
War, no war. Would you play it? Please?
Speaker 5 (16:09):
No war?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Don't argue it, don't say you have a speech impediment
and then.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Argue for you this like I'm just never gonna say
it that way. It was no one's asking you to
ye yeah, okay, cool. I'm saying y'all are right.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Obviously I am wrong, and I don't think I'm gonna change.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I'd like to do a little more good news that
has nothing to do with this room. Hey, Abby, would
you bring the microphone down to your mouth?
Speaker 9 (16:34):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (16:34):
How are you?
Speaker 7 (16:35):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Here, here's some good news. Abby doesn't know we're going
to talk about this. But Abby did not break up
with her fiance. Remember her lunchbox is like, oh, they're
broken up. She's not talking about And.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Then she was acting weird about it a little bit.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
She was like, noir eddie.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So my source said they saw Abby and her boyfriend
Ryan a scooter together. Yeah, fiance Ryan a scooter together.
He was driving, and she was like holding on so
all lovey dovey.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
I've never done a scooter by myself. I always do
one dual.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
But but I think the story here is, you guys
are good.
Speaker 7 (17:15):
We're good. Yeap, Ryan scooters together downtown. We're great.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
It's weird again, like, go back to it being weird.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
No, I don't know why I get like this, but
everything's peachy.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Any update what I know? This sounds weird, guys, any
update on you guys.
Speaker 7 (17:35):
No, there's not really any updates. I mean, he was
honored the other night, so that was cool.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I saw that like a veteran.
Speaker 7 (17:42):
Yeah, a veteran of the night at the rodeo.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Wait, he's a veteran.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
Yeah, he was in the navy.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
How did he get picked for that?
Speaker 7 (17:50):
Well, it was like one of the sponsors. It was
like a veteran organization and they pick one for each night.
They just like called him, They're like, do you want
to be honored? And at first he was like no,
he doesn't like spotlight on him. But I was like,
oh my gosh, you should do it.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
That's so cool.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
So it was that the rodeo and they took.
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Him down like on the field and he was on
the big screen.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
That's pretty cool. That's awesome.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
It was really cool. I almost cried because I was like,
this is so cool.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
He doesn't like spotlight, no, not at all. So he
How did he get into accounting? Is he an account
or is he a financial financial plan?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Okay, Eddie, what.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
What's the difference A big difference?
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Really?
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Is there a difference?
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Okay, I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Oh yeah there is.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
A financial planner is creating strategies to make more money.
That's what he does, to put your money in places
to make more money, to optimize. An accountant definitely is
figuring out your money. But an accountant and a financial strategist,
right what you says? It was a planner different? Yeah? Okay, yeah,
I'm sorry. So he how did he get to do
(18:55):
that after the Navy?
Speaker 7 (18:56):
I really, I don't know. I think like he wanted
to go into the navy, like because he didn't really
know what he was doing in life. And then he
got out and he went back to school to be
a financial planner. But he loves it like a lot.
He loves his job.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I saw your Instagram story of the veteran of the night.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
Pretty cool, it really was.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
Everything's good, right, yep, it's great.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Okay, even when she says that's great, it feels weird.
Speaker 7 (19:25):
I know, I don't know why when I'm put on
the spot. But it's cool. But no other updates. It's
cool as planning.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Anything good in your life going on?
Speaker 9 (19:34):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Good? In my life, good in my life.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
We did these awesome interviews at the softball game last night.
For it was a celebrity softball game and usually Bobby
Bone Show plays in it. We had no representatives, so
usually in Lunchbox and Morgan playing. That's why he's been
mad for the past two months. Yeah, I played in
it before, but they gave us a new twist. So
now apparently we're the interviewers. They say, you guys aren't talented.
(19:57):
Why don't you guys just talk to all the players? So,
I mean, I'm still riding high. We met Travis Pastrana,
We met Roger Clemens, who interviewed you just you me
and lunch Oh, I mean unprepared as heck, just on
the field.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
And so Lunchbox went to the softball game. Yeah, where
he used to play, and now he's doing it now.
He just did interviews.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
D Yeah. We sat down the right field line in
the bullpen and the players would come out and sit
with us for ten minutes and talk and then they'd
have to go play.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
Did they ever go like, you should get in and
we remember how good you are back in the day, No,
no one did.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
Oh, so wait, what do they do with this audio
or sword losers.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
I sent also, like my video guy out to shoot
with them.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Yeah it was you set this up.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
No, I set it up. But I sent the part
like Dylan, who's my video guy. Yeah, I sent him
to shoot. And Morgan went out there too.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Oh cool.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Yeah, it was really cool because we had no control
over who came out there, because we're all the way
out there in right field and we're like, man, we're
gonna get no interviews. This is gonna be We're just
gonna be sitting here and doing nothing. But the Folds
of Honor people actually like brought people out there, like
they hey, can you come out and do an interview?
And they all came out there and sat and hung out.
And Roger Clemens it was even his turn to bat,
and he goes, no, I just let the next person bat.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Oh, because y'all were having such a good job.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Because he was having such a good time with us.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Oh cool, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
So you talked to the Folds of Honor people.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I talked to one guy and he is because he
was helping Ashley Cook get in the right position, and
I was like, great coaching. He looked at me like
who is this guy harassing me? And then later he
brought someone out there and he goes, oh my god,
that was you. He goes, I was wondering why someone
was yelling at me from right field.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Did they know that you've been yelling at them for
months or not?
Speaker 3 (21:37):
And no, no one mentioned that. Yeah, and I totally
forgot that. Uh and Morgan hit us up over the weekend.
Another Morgan was like, hey, remember the Folds of Honor
wants you to go do these interviews And I was like, oh,
I forgot all about that. I was more concentrated on playing,
but I felt like I could have played an interviewed
in between.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
But whatever, it was awesome. I was surprised you said yes, yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, I would expect you to be like kicks.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
You want me to play? You said, no, to be playing,
I ain't doing the interviews.
Speaker 7 (22:03):
Oah.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
I think he was just happy to be there.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
There were a couple there were people on the stage
was like, hey, hey, lunch, why aren't you playing this year.
I was like, oh, no, they got us doing this
this year.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
You know, happy to be there, right, I would think.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
So he's at the stage of his whatever it is
that he doesn't expect to play anymore. He's now they've
lowered him a level to just doing on field talk.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
We don't have to consider it lowered.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
He's just happy to be there, Okay, lunch, it's however
you look at it.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
I mean, just just be happy to be there. You went,
You're happy to be there.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
He wasn't happy for a week leading up to it,
but but he went.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
He was happy to be there.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
I mean, it was cool to meet some of those people.
Like to sit down with Roger Clemens house pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
What if he'd played with him, though, that would have
been pretty cool too, because, like I mean, back in
the day, we did want in Austin and I got
to play catch with Nolan Ryan, so then I could
have played catch with Roger Clemens.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
So I mean that would have been but didn't do it.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Did the rocket pitch no?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
He played catcher in first base.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Did they put a mask on the catchers?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
No?
Speaker 1 (23:08):
And slow pitch offball no, no chance take one of
the teeth so quick.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Well, I'll tell you what, Zach top He was playing
second base and there was a ball to right field
and they hit the cut Parker McCollum threw it to
him and he threw it so hard at home. I
mean he didn't come close to the catcher, and I
mean there's people standing all on in the back. I'm
surprised someone to get I mean, he has a cannon.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
And who was surprisingly a good athlete, Zach Top.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Zach Top actually a pretty good athlete. Yeah, she had
a rough go of at one inning, she made like
two errors in a row at second base, and.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
But she's also awesome.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
But she's also awesome going.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
To national championship at Alabama Softball. Awesome second base. Golden
Tate was an incredible athlete. There was one he was
playing third base and there was a ball to center
field and he caught it. Oh really Golden Kate. Yeah,
played wide receiver for the Lions and other teams.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
He lives here, but he was playing third base and
ran to the center field and caught the I.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Mean that's amazing.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
It was like, oh, Chris Lane was running towards it
because he was playing shortstop and Colden Tate passed him,
and Chris Lane living like, where'd you come from?
Speaker 1 (24:19):
I saw Chris Lane home run anybody over the fence.
It No, it's hard because his baseball stadium softball. Yeah,
I've only ever seen one person do that.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
I think Golden Tate hit the warning track.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Wow yeah, Raymondo Yeah fine, Yeah, it was an absolute blast.
Speaker 9 (24:36):
And I just think he was just a good thing.
I mean, they all look cool playing softball. Like Golden
Tate's a football player. He looked awesome out there, Chris
Lane's a baseball player. I just don't think Lunch really
looked cool playing softball. So I think it's better. I
love what fulls of honor did. I mean props to
them for not letting Xbox play. Yeah, put a mic
in front of his face. He doesn't have to have
(24:57):
a glove on, and it actually worked out. I mean
props to the entire team would put it together. I
made predictions beforehand. I said we get no good interviews.
I was dead wrong. We got only good interviews. They
didn't give us any scrubs. Do you want to play
next year?
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Good to not set yourself up for.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Yeah, exactly. I don't want to say yes, and then
when next year comes around, everybody make fun of me
because I.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
Didn't get spot now like happy to be there.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yeah, So like, why, so what if instead they picked
like Morgan's podcast to go out and do it interview
people instead of yours.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Oh, that'd be a slap in the face.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Okay, just making sure that would.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Be that would be that'd be very fun to it.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
That's cool though. I'm glad you guys did that. If
you thought it was great, awesome, Yeah, the power of podcasting.
Speaker 9 (25:40):
I mean, hey, man, brother, the Rocket's like, let me
sneak out here and see what's going on in this
podcasting world. What are you guys doing with these mics? Well,
it goes into the ether and then people listen to it.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Rocket, you explained it to him like he was five now,
But I was wondering why he even came out there
in the first place. But uh, good John, Yep, glad
you guys got some good stuff out of it. Content
for store. What does it go up today?
Speaker 9 (26:02):
Yeah, well Wednesday, but we've been doing some videosday Wednesdaynday
there were editing videos.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
We're not editing.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
We are you editing?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
No, I said, we're not editing there. They did have videos,
So they're going to give us some videos to put up.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Who the full of honor people?
Speaker 4 (26:20):
No, probably Morgan Morgan.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Oh yeah, Dylon.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Morgan does dal with Dylan edit him.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Took Dylan, Dylan will do all the editing.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Yeah, Morgan's a good editor too.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Yeah yeah, shout out Morgan number one. Yes, all right,
there you go. That's what's all about. It's time for
the good news.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
An eighty seven year old door dash driver in Vancouver,
Washington got some unexpected financial help after he accidentally delivered
food to the wrong address. His name is Joe and
he showed up to the home of Alana Dicky and
he was trying to make a delivery. She was like, oh,
(27:00):
I didn't order food. She's like, where are you trying
to go? So struck up a conversation with him. He
talked about how he's been working for door dash for
like a year and a half to help with medication
and other unexpected financial.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Things, and she said he seemed disoriented.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
He talked about how he had fallen delivering food sometime,
so she gave him a hundred bucks. Then she made
a little video and asked if it was okay if
she posted it, and he said sure, that'd be fine.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
What's a video?
Speaker 5 (27:29):
A few hundred dollars started to come in.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
Through the donations. Then it went to forty five thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
That's awesome from people all over the world that saw
Joe's story and then wanted to help. He said, he's
just shocked that strangers wanted to help him out.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
It's a great story. Also, I'm sure the guy has
no idea what TikTok or Instagram.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
But he knows he knows what doordashes.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Yeah, he's doing it, I know, I know, but so
like he has he didn't know what DoorDash was. He
just thinks he's getting voices through his phone sand to
pick up food. Now, that's a great story. I do
love that. Awesome when people come together to help, that
is what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
There's a family in Florida. They got their family dog
gets out of the backyard and they go looking for
it one day, two days, seven days later, they can't
find it, and someone's walking and they find a sink
hole and it's forty feet down and they look and
the dog is down there in the sink hole forty
feet below. So they call nine to one one. Hey,
(28:31):
fire department, we need you to come rescue this dog.
Fire department lowers themselves down and brings up the family dog.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
The dog was alive, too alive dog.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
So I don't know if it was in there the
whole week, but they found it in the sinkhole.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Sink holes are wild.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Yeah, that's weird.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
What even is it? Where did it come from the
fact that it was that deep, not just as the
dog fell down it. That's a forty what is my feet?
Guess that's a long way down. That's four stories. That's crazy.
Good story, that's what it's all about. Tell me something good.
