Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the best bits of
the week for the Bobby Bones show. I am Kickoff Kevin.
Thank you for listening. If you tuned in last week
to the relaunch.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Of the best bits, I really, really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
I got a lot of DMs, got a lot of
comments of support, people happy that the best bits are back.
people happy that I am being more involved in the show.
So I really, really appreciate your support. And I've said
it multiple times to Bobby on the show, but without
your guys' support, I wouldn't be here and this wouldn't

(00:36):
be happening. So I can't thank you enough. I can't
thank Bobby enough. I know it can get repetitive thinking
and thinking.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
But it's just the way I feel. So thanks again.
Last time. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Now let's get into what you're here for. The best
bits of the week. First up this week is a
segment I'm going to call Lunchbox's Latest Beef. Now, I
feel like I could do all kinds of different segments
for Lunchbox. Lunchbox's Latest Beef, his latest disease, his latest anger,
his latest make a celebrity awkwardly upset segment, but... I'm

(01:08):
going to try to stick to as few as I can,
but this one we're going to call Lunchbox's Latest Beef
because he always seems to be mad about something. And
this week was him being mad at our work Christmas party. Now,
I know you might be like, wait, it's only October.
You're talking about a Christmas party? But the invite got
sent out about a week ago, and in true Lunchbox fashion,

(01:30):
he's upset at the plans of the party itself. because
he thinks the show, Bobby Bones Show, and the company
that we work for should have a much bigger and
more glamorous party. So without saying any more, let me
play Lunchbox's latest beef, this one being about our work

(01:51):
Christmas party.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Number seven. Have you guys heard the company Christmas party
story yet?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Oh, yeah, man. Lunchbox?

Speaker 4 (01:58):
It strikes again. Congratulations, guys. We're going to... Jenna's house.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Why do you say that?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
It's already planned. It is on a Monday night from
5 to 8 p.m. in her living room.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 4 (02:13):
It's absolutely insane. I mean, there is no way like
the shows that make the company money. The Breakfast Club,
Ryan Seacrest, The Bobby Bones Show. There is no way
Ryan Seacrest is having his Christmas party at a sales
lady's living room.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
You don't have to go. It's not a party for
Ryan Seacrest or for us. It's a party for the
local cluster here. It's not a party for us.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
And you don't know. So, like, Scuba worked for Seacrest, right? Like,
so were those Christmas parties ever?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
They were awesome. They were downtown. They were on rooftops.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Santa Claus was there.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Different time, though. Scuba worked there when people did parties.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
We used to have big parties, too. It was really weird, though.
In the email, they said, but you can get a
discount at the W if you type in our code.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
What? What?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Why would we get a room at the W if
we're going to someone's house?

Speaker 6 (03:01):
That's interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Like, why wouldn't we just have it at the W?
If we got this connection at the W.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Why do you keep saying W?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
That's what it is. The W. Yeah. Okay. You know
what I mean? Like, it just seems kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What, Amy?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
So what are you mad about?

Speaker 4 (03:15):
I just don't understand. Having it at someone's house seems
very weird.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Well, it's different than the other years having it at
Rick's house.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah, but for a couple years, they at least moved
it to the high rise here.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You're not owed a Christmas party.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I know I'm not owed it, but.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No, you're acting like you're owed it.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
It just feels weird sitting on her couch where.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You don't have to go.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Where what?

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Where what?

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Finish. This is where he says she sits in her underwear.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
And watches TV. I mean, that just seems weird.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Oh, have you heard this before?

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Yes, he said it at Rick's house. I'm not going
to go to Rick's living room where he sits in
his underwear and watches TV.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Yeah, I mean, come on, dude. That's kind of a.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
We're not owed a Christmas party? You don't have to
go to the Christmas party?

Speaker 6 (03:50):
He'll be there. Free food, free drinks. He'll be there.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Here's the problem with the food. It's always frozen chicken tenders.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
And here's the deal. You eat them.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
No, I don't.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
Yes, you do.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
No, I don't. Every year I'm like, oh, it's going
to be warm. I take one bite. I'm like, well,
can't eat that. It's frozen.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
It just feels weird to be upset about something that
you're not owed. That's not yours. That they're doing probably
out of the goodness of their heart.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I just think they could do better.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Why don't you tell them? Reply all.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
The alcohol selection is great. Every year.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Yeah, Monday, 5 to 8 p.m. Great. Get crazy.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
No, I'm just saying that the options are all there.
They have all kinds of liquor.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Why don't you have a party?

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
At his house? Yes, at his house.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
No, no, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
It shouldn't be at our house.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
And then invite us.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
It shouldn't be at the house.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
That's according to you.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
It shouldn't be anywhere. We should have clients that say, hey,
come to our restaurant.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Then reach out and do it and talk to the client.
All the clients that you work with.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I mean, goodness.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Get one of the clients that you work with. Who
are some of your bigger clients?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I don't have a restaurant.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
You don't have one restaurant?

Speaker 7 (04:51):
No.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
So I'm saying, like, we don't have connections. Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Sorry, dude.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
It's crazy to me.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Sorry, dude.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
This next segment coming in at number six is going
to be the wild story of the week. We do
a lot of news stories on this show, and this one,
I mean, when I read it, when I read the headline,
I couldn't believe it. It has to do with somebody
getting a body part amputated, but it's the wrong body part.
And it seems like it's something out of a movie,

(05:23):
not real life. I don't know how you make that mistake.
And it truly is just wild. But that is why
it comes in at this week's wild story segment of
the week on The Best Bits.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Number six. There's a 74-year-old that had the wrong leg
amputated during surgery. Oh, no.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
So now he has no legs.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Now she has no legs. Yeah, she went to the
hospital to amputate one leg. They amputated the wrong leg
first and then had to go and amputate the other leg, obviously.
It is for sure a medical error. Hit that from
WTOL11 Toledo.

Speaker 7 (06:01):
74-year-old Sharon Jacks went to a hospital in Marietta, that's
southwest Ohio, last September to have her right leg removed
below the knee. But according to the lawsuit, she woke
up to find her left leg missing. Her attorney says
the correct leg had even been marked before surgery. The
hospital says its own review found the mistake was avoidable

(06:22):
and that operating room procedures were not followed, adding those
involved are no longer in their positions and new safety
training is in place.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
When I had to have ankle surgery, and we're talking
about a minor ankle surgery where they had to go
in and put cadaver cartilage in place of a hole.
So nothing like this. I went in, they said, point
to the leg with the ankle. I put my finger
on the leg. They said, great. They marked that leg.
They said, point to the leg again. I pointed again.
They said, I confirm it's the mark. They said, point

(06:52):
to the leg again. And I pointed again and they
put a wrap on that leg. They said point to
the leg again to prove that we put the wrap
on the correct leg. I did four points. They continued
to check. There was a mark. There was a wrap.
There was everything so they wouldn't work on the wrong ankle.
How do you not do that when you're amputating a leg?
That is insane. What do you mean you messed up?

(07:16):
Do you just go in and go, I'm not sure, Sean.
Flip a coin.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Pick one.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
If for any reason you're not 100% sure, you go
hold up. Maybe we don't do this surgery now. And
there has to be multiple people that mess up.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
She lost a leg.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
That's terrible.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
A whole leg. Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
I wonder what the lawsuit is. Like, does she get
the hospital named after her? Something.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I mean, millions.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Well, I would rather have money than a hospital.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
For sure, money. For sure, a lot of money. And
the thing is, she's not going to get to spend it, really.
Not much of it. She can die in 15 years.
If not before that, she's 75 years old.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
74, 75.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
That is terrible. That's a bad one.

Speaker 8 (07:58):
Man.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I just don't know how you can mess that up.
If it's like, hey, this happened in India, I go like,
I get it. I've never been to India, but I
figure stuff like that happens every Tuesday or something. They
do guess a leg. Next up is.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Going to be our debate segment of the week. The
show likes to debate different things, whether it's something to
do with kids, with sports, with music.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
There's a lot of.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Disagreements, agreements. You know, you got four or five people
on the show. That's just naturally going to happen. And
this week's debate of the week had to do with
pulling your kids out of school to go on vacation. And,
you know, Amy and Eddie and Lunchbox, their kids are
a little bit older, so this is something that they
have done or would do that they talk about. But
Bobby had a different angle saying, you know, I don't

(08:43):
know if you would do this. And I have young
kids as well. I have 18-month-old twins. My first reaction is,
heck yeah, I would do this. But what would you do?
Let us know in the comments, DMs, in this week's
debate of the week.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Number five. Would you pull your kid out of school
for a family vacation?

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
Not even thinking twice about it.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
You? Yes, did it.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
For a full week. Oh, full week. Yeah, that's a
family vacation. It's not two days. No, no, no, no.
It's a full week.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
I mean, yes. And that's going to, a full week
is hard. But yes, if that's when we have to
take family vacation, then yeah. And we can't do it
during spring break, fall break, winter break.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
All the other breaks. Yeah, there's a lot of breaks.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
So many breaks.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
That's one of the arguments is now there's so many breaks,
you can't find it during a break. Because a week
is a long time. Again, our child is not in
school yet. So only six months old. Hard for me
to have an idea here, but I would say no
right now.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
Really?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
A week is a long time.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
A day or two. A day especially is fine.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
Yeah, like a Friday.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Because I think you can get some real core memories
from that. But we're talking about a vacation.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Would you take your kid out for a whole week
during school?

Speaker 5 (09:52):
If that's the only time we could do it, I
think the experience and the memories and the togetherness as
a family trumps whatever they would learn in school that week.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Your thoughts?

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Because it depends on what we're doing. Like, if we're
going to Cincinnati, maybe not worth it. Nothing against Cincinnati.
But if we're going to go to, like, Hawaii, yes.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
You have four kids. They all have to catch up
for a week.

Speaker 9 (10:14):
I know.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
It's tough.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
But you would do it.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
I think it'd be worth it. For me, when I
look back at my childhood, what do I remember?

Speaker 9 (10:20):
School?

Speaker 5 (10:20):
No.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Vacations? Yes.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Do you think if you'd have cared about school more,
you'd remember school more?

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Maybe, but really, the vacations are core, core, core memories
in my mind, and I'm 47 years old.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
I just come at it from a different place and
never went on vacation. Enjoyed learning at school, and I'd
hate being behind. I do think whenever Billy gets older,
I'll probably be like, of course, we'll take a month off. Heck,
we'll homeschool for a semester if we go abroad. I'll
be down with this dump here. I'll be just traveling
the world, taking her places. But I was reading stories

(10:55):
about that, if it's good or not, take your kid
out of school for a whole week. A couple days,
I think that's fine. Yeah. Man, it's so hard to
catch up, though, if you're behind a week.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Well, I think what you can do is work with
the school and the teachers.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
That's not a vacation.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
No, no, you don't do work on vacation. That's not
a vacation.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Vacation is like there is no school.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
And you just say you missed a week. You know
what I mean? Like in the long run, is that
really going to kill you? Not really.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Well, you might eat up all your absences, though.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Oh, who cares?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
And all of a sudden you're truant and in jail.
You're like, how'd you get in? My parents took me
to Cincinnati.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
It depends, too, on the grade. Like, second grade, you
don't need it.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Does it depend on how good a student your kid is?
Because if they're a really good student, it's probably easier
to take them out for an extended period of time.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
Oh, interesting. I thought the other way. Like, if they're
a bad student, it doesn't matter if they're missing school anyway.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
No, no, no. I'd say it'd be easier the other
way because they're completely caught up. They're good at their studies.
It's not as big of a deal if they do miss.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
That's interesting.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
But they might be like you, where they might fight
their parents and be like, what?

Speaker 2 (11:49):
I don't want to miss school for a week. You
guys go. I'll stay home and take care of myself.
Next up is a game of the week.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I have a feeling, like I said last week, that
this will probably be a reoccurring segment pretty often because
there's a lot of games being played on this show
and a lot of them are just great. Now, this
one is great because Bobby gets to play in it.
He doesn't play in a lot of games. He has
to play host of most of the games. Now, Ray
was doing first line of a country song game. And
if you've heard Ray sing first lines of anything, he

(12:19):
likes to put his own.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Little spin on it.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
And that's exactly what he did for this game called
the first line of a country song game.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Number four. All right, what's the game, Ray? So I'm
going to sing you guys the first line of a
country song. Okay, and we have to name the song
by you singing it.

Speaker 7 (12:35):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Okay, go ahead and give us an example.

Speaker 10 (12:40):
Last night we let the liquor talk. I can't remember
everything we said, but we said it all.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
He kind of nailed that one.

Speaker 6 (12:48):
That's not bad, Ray.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Morgan Wallen, Last Night. Correct.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Everybody in?

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
All right. Give us five of these, Ray.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Number one.

Speaker 10 (12:58):
My baby wanna burkin', but she's been tellin' me all
night long.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
I'm in.

Speaker 7 (13:09):
I'm in.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Are we doing the name of the song?

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Song, right? Correct. Hit it again. My baby wanna burk in.
She's been telling me.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
Why are you doing extra?

Speaker 2 (13:22):
All night long.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
Mark, I am. I'm in.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
All right.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Around the room. Lunchbox.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Tipsy, a bar song.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
That's also what I have. Wow.

Speaker 8 (13:35):
Eddie?

Speaker 6 (13:35):
I'd put a bar song. That's what it's called, right?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Tipsy is.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
I have tipsy, parentheses, a bar song. Amy?

Speaker 8 (13:44):
Oh, shoot.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
I have a bar song.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
What's the answer? It's a bar song, Tipsy. Oh, then
I think you guys got it and we didn't. Really?

Speaker 6 (13:52):
You get it wrong?

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Well, we said it wrong.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
I put Tipsy, parentheses, a bar song. That's wrong.

Speaker 7 (13:59):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
That's shaboozy.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
Dang it.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
It goes, my.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Baby wants a Birkin. She'll never need it all night long.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Yeah, no, we missed it, dude.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
We should have kept our mouths shut.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I got to be honest with me, too.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Would you say we should have kept our mouths shut?

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Yeah, why?

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Why?

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Because we shouldn't argue. I was like, oh, Eddie got
it wrong, but then we went.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
All right, Ray, next one up.

Speaker 10 (14:21):
Head down south to the land of the pines.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
You sound like Creed.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
A little bit.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Can you do it again?

Speaker 10 (14:36):
Head down south to the land of the pines.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
I'm in.

Speaker 7 (14:42):
I'm in.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I'm in.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
All right, three seconds.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
I'm in.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
I'm in for the win.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Lunchbox?

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Homegrown.

Speaker 8 (14:49):
Amy?

Speaker 5 (14:50):
Wagon Wheel.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Wagon Wheel.

Speaker 6 (14:51):
Yeah, yeah, that's Wagon Wheel.

Speaker 8 (14:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Heading down south to the main of the pines.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
And I'm out there out of North Carolina. All right,
go ahead. I was feeling the blues. I was watching
the news.

Speaker 9 (15:10):
Oh, man.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
What?

Speaker 2 (15:14):
What? Wait, do it again. I was feeling the blues.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
I was watching the news.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Got it.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
What?

Speaker 6 (15:23):
Gosh, I believe you there, Ray.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Got it.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Feeling the blues.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, he's not on with this one.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
I'm in.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Do you have it?

Speaker 6 (15:34):
Yeah, I'm in.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Wait, I was feeling the blues. I was watching the news. Yeah.
I was feeling the blues.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
All right, three seconds. Dang it.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
I have it in my head.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Lunchbox?

Speaker 5 (15:47):
I do not.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Live like you're dying.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Amy?

Speaker 5 (15:50):
Where were you when the world stopped turning?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh, interesting. Is that what gave you the blues? Context, yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:54):
Yeah, the news.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
You were feeling the blues watching the news. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
9-11.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
How about if I sing it like this? I was
feeling the blues. I was watching the news. That manala
came on the TV.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Two pina coladas.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I have two pina coladas.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
I have two pina coladas.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Good job. Dang, Eddie, you may win this. You're in
the lead.

Speaker 6 (16:14):
Well, no, it's still early.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
No, I think you got it. You're the favorite. DraftKings
has you right now as a favorite. Next one. Got
a girl from the south side. Got braids in her hair.
Got it. You sound like a robot. Let me know.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Got a girl from the south side.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Do you have it, Eddie?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Hold on.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Ray, do it again. Got a girl from the south side.
Got braids in her hair.

Speaker 6 (16:42):
I'm in.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Are you sure you have it?

Speaker 7 (16:47):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (16:48):
I'm about 90%.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Then you got it.

Speaker 8 (16:51):
All right.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Lunchbox?

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Body like a back road.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
That's it.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
Amy?

Speaker 5 (16:54):
Oh, dang. I have a house party.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Where would you in the world stop turning?

Speaker 5 (16:58):
I knew it was Sam Hunt, but.

Speaker 8 (16:59):
Eddie?

Speaker 6 (17:00):
I have body like a back road.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Me too.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Got a girl from the south side. Got braids in
her hair.

Speaker 9 (17:06):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
I got the south side.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
All right, last one. Give it to us.

Speaker 10 (17:11):
She put him out like the burning end of a
midnight cigarette.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
I'm in.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
What the?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Huh?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Go ahead, Raymundo.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
She put him.

Speaker 8 (17:29):
Out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Nailed it.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
You nailed it?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
I mean, that is perfect. I can't believe you guys
don't think that's the recording of it.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
I'm in for the win.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
All right. Hands down.

Speaker 8 (17:50):
Eddie?

Speaker 6 (17:52):
I have You and Tequila Make Me Crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
You missed it. You missed it. It's a great song
like that.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
Did it sound just like Ray sang it?

Speaker 2 (17:59):
She put them out.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Like the, what is it?

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Is it Brad Paisley?

Speaker 7 (18:04):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
What do you have, Lunchbox?

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I have Mama's Broken Heart.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
What do you have?

Speaker 5 (18:08):
A Ring of Fire.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Whiskey Lullaby.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
Whiskey Lullaby!

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Tie game. How many more you got?

Speaker 4 (18:17):
We got... We can go to tiebreakers.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
I got... Okay, we'll do one Eddie Normal tiebreaker and
then one speed if we don't get a winner.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
All right.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Oh, man, you had it.

Speaker 6 (18:25):
Is it just you and me?

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
All right, go ahead.

Speaker 10 (18:28):
Sunday morning, man. She woke up fighting mad.

Speaker 8 (18:34):
I'm in.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
You're in?

Speaker 5 (18:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
That easy?

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, based on the first two words. Hopefully I didn't
give it to you by saying that, but say it again, Ray.
Sunday morning, man. She woke up fighting mad. What do
you have?

Speaker 6 (18:58):
I have when it rains, it pours.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
It is?

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Sunday morning. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Okay. Let's go. I knew it was Luke Combs. I
just didn't know which song.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Ready for speed round? Last one.

Speaker 10 (19:11):
Ready.

Speaker 8 (19:12):
Go.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Go.

Speaker 8 (19:14):
Just when I thought I got him to fall in
love with tennis.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Oh, I got it.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Choose in Texas.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
No!

Speaker 6 (19:23):
You didn't have it for them.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Who knows? Choose in Texas. Hey, for real, for real.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
What were you thinking it could have been?

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I was just buzzing in to take whatever clues I
heard from the words. Dang. Sing that again, Ray.

Speaker 8 (19:39):
Just when I thought I got him to fall in
love with Kermit.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Kermit the frog. Good game. Eddie, you had that one, man.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
That was cool.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
You had it. Good job, everybody.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Next up is going to be something I was originally
calling the comment section of the week. Something that got you,
our listeners, our viewers going on social media, leaving a
lot of comments, opinions. You know, whether it was agreeing, disagreeing,
or just having an opinion in general. I'm actually going
to call it the get the people going segment. And

(20:13):
this one did not disappoint. I mean, you go on
the show's TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, it doesn't matter. A lot
of views, a lot of comments on people who couldn't
believe this happened to Bobby.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
He had a mishap, I would say, on his food
being delivered from a food delivery service.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
If I were to have this to happen to me,
I would probably cancel right away because I just don't
trust anybody that does this.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
With my food.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
It's hard for me to get food delivered in general
just because it's hard for me to trust people with
my food.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I know it's sealed and all that, but hey, just
the way I think, okay? It's just the way I am.
And so I.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Probably would have canceled this right away, reported it, tried
to get my money back and moved on. But Bobby
went through with it and it's pretty crazy.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
And this is our gets the people going segment of
the week. Number three. So I ordered some food last
night from Uber Eats and I'm waiting for it. And
I get a message from the delivery person that says, hey,
I'm a couple blocks down the road. Can you come
get the food? And no, because it's a delivery service.

Speaker 7 (21:17):
That's weird.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
And so I respond and I say, hey, you're two
blocks from my house. I can see you. Can you
just drive to my house and drop it off at
the door? And they wrote, no, I'm camping here until
you come get the food.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
So I screenshot it and send it to my wife.
I'm like, I think they're holding my food hostage. And
so I said, no, I can't. I have the baby.
Not that that matters, but I was just trying to
then like guilt them into coming. Can you please bring
the food to my house? And I could see the
car starting to trickle forward, trickle, trickle, trickle. So, and

(21:55):
this is about 10 minutes and it was really weird.
And I was just on constant communication in the app.
With the Uber Eats driver. Who refused to drive and
drop the food off at my house. And so finally.
After about 15 minutes of going. Please just come and
drop it off. I see the car come up the driveway.
Very slowly. And they stop way before they got to

(22:16):
my house. And they get out of the car. They
have the bag of food. And they're like walking in
the front yard with the bag of food. I don't
know what's going on. I don't know if they're drunk.
If they're up to no good. They're. I have cameras.
And so they're walking. They have the bag of food
in their hand. They're walking all around the front yard
looking around trees. So I yell, hey. And they walk
the food up. At this point, I'm not going to

(22:37):
take the food in hand because I don't know what
they're going to do. And so they drop the food off.
And then they just kind of are walking around, looking around.
They just sit in their car for like 10 minutes
before they leave. The whole city.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
I'm scared.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
This is bizarre.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
So I then, I get my burner, which is my
gun type situation, my launcher. Just, I don't have it out.
I'm not waving it in the air, but I walk
out and I'm like, Hey, you guys need to go.
And so, cause there were two people in the car,
but only one was getting out. I didn't see the
second person. And so they finally drive out. And about
15 minutes later, I hear someone walking on the front porch,

(23:16):
the steps. And like, I see a little movement and
Stanley starts barking and I'm like, okay, here we go.
Somebody's about to get hit or shot or hurt. And
I go up and I run up and it's the
Amazon driver dropping off a package. It wasn't even the
weird Uber driver that was bringing my food. But that
Amazon driver almost suffered because the weirdo Uber Eats driver

(23:38):
was at my house.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
But why was he not originally going to bring you
the food? That's so perplexing to me.

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Why were they walking in your yard?

Speaker 2 (23:46):
I was also worried that my food was tampered with. Oh, yeah.
But everything was still sealed. So I ate it. But
my wife was even freaking out. She's like, what's even
happening right now?

Speaker 5 (23:57):
I would be freaking out, too. I'd be like, just
forget it. Food's not worth it.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
It was.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
I was so hungry.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
Or place another order. But also, you need to report
that somehow.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
The fact that they sat two blocks away and they
wanted me to come get the food from the car.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Weird.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Because they wrote... And this is the text because I
screenshot it. The thing about in the app, it goes away.
Once they drop the food off, all your communication goes
away with them. But I sent Caitlin this last night.
I was like, bring the food. Am camping. And then
I wrote, keep driving. I can't come out.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Am camping. What does that even mean?

Speaker 4 (24:32):
I am.

Speaker 6 (24:33):
I am.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah. I'm camping. Come get your own food.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
But, like, literally, like, that's where they camp?

Speaker 6 (24:40):
No, Amy, they're not at a camp site.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
No, they're, like, camping down on the side of the road,
and they wanted me to come get their food.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
You think they're doing s'mores, Amy?

Speaker 5 (24:47):
I just didn't know that was, like, the verbiage for.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
It was bizarre.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
When you're a food delivery person, and you're refusing to
drop it off at the house, that it's considered camping.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
Is it normal for them to be in twos, like
somebody else in the car?

Speaker 5 (25:01):
Yeah, I've seen that.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
That happens sometimes, because people will just turn on their Uber...
And they'll go pick up food if they're with somebody.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Yeah, I've seen that.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
It's sometimes the whole family drops off my food.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
Oh, all right.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Oh, you need to never get that person again.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
You can't control who you get.

Speaker 6 (25:18):
So you didn't report them or anything?

Speaker 2 (25:21):
No, and not because I didn't want to be like, oh,
who knows if they're having a bad day. I should have.
I was just shocked. And then two, I think I
thought about it again, but then someone was on my
porch and I thought it was them again. And it
was the Amazon driver. No more Amazon deliveries at night.
That shouldn't happen either. But yeah, it was a weird...
Weird night.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Next up is going to be the wild card of
the week. Now, I'm going to throw this in there
every now and then as a wild card because I
don't really have a label for it. And it has
to do with Amy this week. And is she possibly
going on a date? if you're listening to this on Saturday,
when it comes out tonight, we are going to Morgan's
wedding celebration. Morgan already got married. She was on the show.
She used to do the best bits. Shout out to Morgan.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
She's awesome. She's great.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
So we're going to celebrate her tonight at her wedding celebration.
And Amy told the guys that she's going with a
guy now in natural lunchbox. Eddie reaction is, Oh, Amy's
going on a date. Amy's bringing a date, but we
don't know who this is. So we'll, You hear Lunchbox's version,
Eddie's version, Amy's version. Bobby kind of plays mediator. And

(26:29):
it's pretty funny. I'll leave it up to you whether
you think this is a date or not. But this
is our wild card segment of the week.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Number two. Morgan, who used to work here, her wedding
party is tomorrow. Word around town is you got a date.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
No.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
You're taking a date to Morgan's party?

Speaker 10 (26:46):
No.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
I'm going with somebody, but they're, they're, they're invited.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
These guys.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
I know.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
They've, Bobby, you would have my, you would, you would have,
Bobby will have my back when he understands.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Why do you keep saying my name? It feels, something
feels weird.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
I feel like you're the only person because I've been
listening to them.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
No, it's a talk in the town.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Braid me.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
What? Braid me?

Speaker 6 (27:06):
What have we said to you?

Speaker 4 (27:08):
No, we were excited for you. How did you guys
get together? How did you guys decide you were going?

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Let's do this.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Around the room.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Eddie, what's your version of this before I'll let Amy finish?

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Go.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
Yeah, my version is she was casually talking to someone. Oh,
and I asked. I said... Hey, are you taking someone? Because,
I mean, I didn't RSVP, and if you're having a
plus one, you're not taking anyone.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
She could take you.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Right, I thought about that being a good option, and
then she was like, I'm taking someone.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
No, that's not what I said.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Oh, did you gasp like that?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
And I went, what?

Speaker 8 (27:35):
Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
And then I said, oh, it's a friend of yours,
like a girlfriend? She's like, no, it's a guy.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Whoa. And that's what I did.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Lunchbox.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Yeah. And so I walked up on the conversation and
she's like, oh, you know, and she said his name.
I was like, I don't know that. And she goes, well,
we were in the same, we went out a couple
of weeks ago with a group and we were in
the same group. And then we decided we're going to
go to the wedding together. I'm like, oh, so you
guys talked about it that night. And she goes, no,
he slid into my DMS.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
No, that's not how I said it.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
And I was like, whoa.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
And then she said, I said, so you guys just
meeting there? Is he picking you up? She goes, we'll
probably ride in an Uber together. And I'm like, what?
Like the fact that they didn't have each other's number,
that they slid into DMs to arrange this, yelled date.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
So that's their version of the story. What happened?

Speaker 5 (28:20):
They have both taken liberties with the story for sure.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Did he slide into your DMs?

Speaker 5 (28:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
It's Amy's turn. She has the talking stick. Go ahead.
So what happened?

Speaker 9 (28:29):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
A couple of weeks ago, he was like, I don't
know if I'm going to Morgan's wedding.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Do I know this guy?

Speaker 5 (28:37):
I didn't know he was even friends with Morgan, but
they were close.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
You didn't answer my question.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
I don't think. No, I don't know. I thought they
would know him or Lunchbox at least because he acted
like he had met Lunchbox.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Maybe I have.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Maybe when I see him, I'll recognize him.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
He's a man about talent.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
He doesn't know who he meets.

Speaker 8 (28:53):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
I meet a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
So I don't know that you ever met him because
I had never met him.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
You're acting nervous right now. You're acting nervous and weird.
Because they're gaming up on me. That happens every day, though.
So anyway, continue. I'm going to block them out.

Speaker 5 (29:05):
Thank you for blocking them out.

Speaker 8 (29:06):
Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
So then he wasn't sure if he was going to go.
So then when he DM'd, he's like, hey, I'm going
to Morgan's wedding now. Save me a seat because I'm
coming alone.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Save me a seat means I like to sit by you. No, no, no.
It's not like that. As a dude, save me a
seat means I would prefer to sit by you.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
That's a flirt.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
I understand where he's coming from because I was going
to be arriving alone and I felt weird about that.
So he was going to be arriving alone. He felt
weird about that. So perfect. I'll save him a seat.
So then how did- So then I replied back and
I was like, well, I'm going alone if you want
to just go together because- that's better. And he was like, oh, down.

(29:43):
But it's not being bold because it's just a friend.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
If it were just, just a friend, you would just
save him a seat.

Speaker 6 (29:50):
Correct.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
No, I don't want to go by myself.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
But you're going to know most everybody there.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (29:56):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Still arriving by yourself. That's not fun.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
When do you care about that?

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (30:02):
Let me think how many weddings I've arrived to by myself.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
This is not a wedding. This is a wedding party.
They've already been married.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
And no one is going to notice you walking in
that barn by yourself. Nobody.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
I have felt weird about going by myself this entire time.
And I didn't RSVP for a plus one. It's not
a date. We're friends.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I'm Bobby.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
I'm looking at you straight in the eyeballs.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Why do you keep calling me Bobby? This is so weird.
It's so weird.

Speaker 8 (30:23):
You're acting weird.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Also, I don't care if it's a date. I think
that's good.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
It's not a date.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Unequivocally, you're going out with a guy. There's no chance
it could be a date after? Unequivocally, it is.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Not a date. There's not a chance it's a date.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Could he think it's a date? Correct.

Speaker 9 (30:38):
No, no.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
If I were a dude and I said, hey, save
me a seat flirting. And they said, hey, why don't
we just go together? I'm thinking date.

Speaker 10 (30:45):
No.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
No.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
I can tell you off air why it's not a date,
but I'm not telling you.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
His wife doesn't know?

Speaker 4 (30:53):
What?

Speaker 2 (30:53):
I don't know. I don't know who it is.

Speaker 6 (30:55):
Wait, he doesn't like girls.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Okay, that's two.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
If he was gay, I would tell y'all right now,
he's gay.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Okay, but he's not.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Okay, Lunchbox is raising his hand. I appreciate that. Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
So, Amy, so there is no chance that this could
lead to future things after the wedding.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
Correct.

Speaker 10 (31:14):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
You're saying that line in the sand.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Never date him.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Line in the sand. I'm saying this is not a date,
nor has it been.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
She's going politician on us now. I don't want to
press you on it. I don't want to press you
on it. No, I just wanted to ask. These guys
are running around like they have hot goss. They're like,
we got the gossip. Amy's got a date.

Speaker 6 (31:35):
You heard what we heard. Didn't you kind of jump
to that too?

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Can you show me his Instagram profile? Let me see
who it is.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Let me see if I know him.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
And don't you think when she says they DM'd, he
didn't even have her number.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
That's because we had just met two weeks before. We
have several mutual friends, but we had never met.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Also, if you want to go on a date with somebody,
that's amazing. It's great.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
We support you, Amy. Always.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
We'll cheer you at the wedding.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Is it weird that we had this conversation on the
air because he might hear it?

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Green jacket.

Speaker 6 (32:06):
Green jacket? He's a Masters winner?

Speaker 5 (32:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
I don't know him.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
It's Tiger Woods.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
How would I know? Yeah, I don't know. Is this
his profile? I don't know him.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
Ah, interesting.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I never, I don't know him at all. I thought
maybe he like worked here or something.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
But Amy, you thought that we all knew him? You
thought that?

Speaker 5 (32:24):
I could have, when I met him and he was
talking about knowing Morgan, he acted like he had met Lunchbox,
but maybe I have that wrong. Maybe he just like threw,
or maybe it was at an event he was at
with Morgan. Maybe he didn't, they just... met casually. It's
not like I was picturing them hanging out, but I
guess they didn't.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Well, I hope you have a great time.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Yeah, have fun.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
And I hope that you don't need to save the
seat because you're going together and if it's not a date,
still have fun with a friend.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
So are you Ubering to his house? Are you driving?

Speaker 8 (32:49):
Nope.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
He's going to come to mine and we're Ubering from there.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Uber's taking you to one location?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
He's driving his car to your house.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
Because of the.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
So then he gets back late at night to your house.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
Exactly.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
After drinking.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
My house is the.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
From where he lives... to my house. He's further out.
That way my house makes sense.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Have fun.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Oh, guess what? We have other mutual friends that we
may all meet up after the wedding.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Have fun.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
Who cares?

Speaker 9 (33:17):
I know. Have fun.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
So you're going to go out to other places with
him after the wedding?

Speaker 5 (33:21):
I mean, maybe with our other friends.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
I love it. Amy, live your life.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Live your life. Just live your life. Just update us
on Monday. Or Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (33:37):
Oh, I'm sure everyone here will have stories.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
I will be watching.

Speaker 6 (33:41):
Be careful about Devil's Elbow, though, on the way back.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Yeah, Ray said there's a turn going into Morgan's wedding
party that you can have a crash and die. Yeah,
Devil's Elbow.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Now, number one this week, and this will be recurring
every single week at number one, is going.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
To be Bobby's pick of the week.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Now, every week I ask Bobby before I record Best Bits, Bobby,
what was your favorite segment this week? He lets me know,
and that will be number one on the countdown for
each week. And this week is Bobby doing something or
debating doing something and not doing something that we've probably
all possibly thought about doing because we've been in the predicament,

(34:19):
and that's honking at a police officer's When you were
in traffic, if they're not paying attention to the green
light in front of them, can you honk?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Can you not honk? And Bobby goes through all that.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
And then some cops call in and let Bobby and
the listeners know what they should or shouldn't do. So
if this ever happened to you or if this is
something that does happen to you in the future, listen
to this segment and then maybe you'll honk or maybe
you won't. But this is number one and it's Bobby's
pick of the week.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Number one. So yesterday I'm at a traffic light. I'm
one car back. The car in front of me is
a cop. Love police officers, but it gives them the
green arrow to go left, and the cop's not looking up. Uh-oh. Okay, well.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
Citizens arrest.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
I'm right behind the cop, and the green arrow, and
traffic is, it's like 4 p.m. Oh, gosh, yeah.

Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Green arrow, yellow arrow.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Nothing. Back to red.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
No way.

Speaker 5 (35:24):
So you didn't honk?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
I didn't honk. What would you have done?

Speaker 5 (35:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I don't think you would have honked, right? It's a cop.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
Yeah, probably not. I'm going to assume he could be
on a mission.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
A mission? He needs to go.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
No. What if his job was to block that traffic
for some reason?

Speaker 8 (35:40):
Well, no.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
We waited until the next one, and then he went.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Oh, well, maybe it was just for that minute. I
don't want to interfere with police business.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
I also didn't honk, but I just think he was
looking at his screen.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
Oh, man. Yeah, his computer.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Or his phone. Or his phone. Or eating a nugget
or something. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (35:56):
Guys, cops are human, too.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I just didn't know if I should honk.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
If you honk, it has to be the short and
quick double tap.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
But even then, yes, that's what I would have done,
but I did not do that because I never want
to even short, quick double tap a cop.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Yeah, I'm with you. I probably would have done nothing.
I don't think you did the wrong thing. I mean,
people behind you were probably annoyed.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
I'm glad no one behind me honked, though, so the
cop thought it was you. Could have possibly thought it
was me.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
You put your hands up.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Would anyone... Does anyone think they would have honked?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
I think I would have.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
You guys are out of your mind. You're so full
of crap.

Speaker 9 (36:28):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
You wouldn't have honked at a cop. You wouldn't have
honked at a cop.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
What is he going to do?

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Famous last words.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
Can he pull you over backwards?

Speaker 5 (36:35):
No.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Nobody can let you get ahead and then look and
see if anything's going on and find a reason you
touched the white line.

Speaker 6 (36:42):
See, I think that if you do the little like
short beeps.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
With a little wave. Yeah, that's cute to say now.
There's no way you would have done that.

Speaker 6 (36:51):
I think I would.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
If there are any police officers out there that would
like to lend to this, what would you like us
to do in this situation?

Speaker 6 (36:56):
Oh, that's good.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
We need to know. And be honest about it. Because
I think if someone did that to me and I
was a police officer, I'd be like, oh, is that right? Well,
let's just see how you drive the next five miles.
I think I'd probably track them a little bit. You
would do that? Yeah, I'd probably abuse the badge a
little bit. And that's that case. Our number is 877-77-BOBBY.
Call us. I want to go over and talk to

(37:19):
Sean in Massachusetts. Hey, Sean, you're a police officer?

Speaker 8 (37:23):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Morning, studio. Morning.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Would you want me to honk at you if you
don't see the arrow?

Speaker 5 (37:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
In that situation, I think that's totally innocent. Like I
think what Daddy said, we're all human looking around, daydreaming,
scanning the computer, the phone, what have you. So I
think in that situation, that's totally innocent and no hard
feelings whatsoever. On the flip side, I'll just say it
is extremely frustrating when somebody tries to let us go

(37:53):
and they have the complete right-of-way, and then when they
let us go, that just destroys traffic. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
What about what I said, though?

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Does that make any sense?

Speaker 6 (38:01):
It does.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
And what about what I said where I'd have used
the badge, and maybe other cops would do that, too,
if they'd get irritated that someone honked at them and
then follow them for a while just to see how
they drive?

Speaker 3 (38:11):
No, I think that's fine. It's a little tap. Oh,
you know what? Thanks. I wasn't paying attention. Then carry
on our way.

Speaker 7 (38:17):
All right.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Well, Sean, I appreciate that. I appreciate what you do
as well.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
Hey, listen, I've called a million times. I've called for
teacher stuff. My wife's a teacher. I've called to get
on Lunchbox. I've never gotten in, so I appreciate the opportunity.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Oh, this is the first time to get in.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Oh, that's awesome. Let me send you something.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Yeah, I've been listening for like 16, 17 years.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
You're calling on duty?

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Don't get him in trouble, Amy.
I'm going to sign a book and send it out
to you. You may not want it. You may want it.
I don't know. I'll send you my second book, Fail
Until You Don't, and I'll write a note in it
for you and your wife. And if you throw it away,
that's fine because Eddie did.

Speaker 6 (38:51):
Eddie gave it to you. Well, I did not throw
it away.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
But it's the least I can do, Sean.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
All right. Stay on hold and get your address.

Speaker 7 (38:58):
All right.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (39:00):
All right.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Let's go over and talk to Steve in Tallahassee. Hey, Steve.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Hey, what's going on, guys?

Speaker 2 (39:07):
You're a police officer?

Speaker 9 (39:09):
I am.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
What if I honked at you and you're sitting at
the green arrow and you didn't see the green arrow?

Speaker 9 (39:14):
I'm totally fine with it because that's me not doing
what I'm supposed to be doing, right? So something that
happens a lot is we'll be going to a call maybe,
and when we stop, we take the opportunity to open
our computer and if there's like updated call notes that
we need to get before we get there, and we'll
be looking at it. So we may be completely oblivious
to to the light because we're trying to look at
something we're going to and so give it a tap

(39:36):
it's not a big deal like you guys said earlier
we're human just honk at us man we'll go it feels.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Easy to say i think i'm just gonna wait through
the cycle even even here i think he was looking
at a screen not his phone screen.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
The computer screen.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
The big screen that they have. I wish I had
one of those in my car. I've asked. A laptop? Yeah,
I want that built in. You asked who? If I
could have that put in like that, a police officer.
And they said no.

Speaker 10 (39:58):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 6 (40:00):
But what would you have on there? Like games and stuff?

Speaker 2 (40:01):
I wouldn't play games. I would just have it running. Scores.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
Scores, right.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
News stories. That type of thing. Ah, Steve, I appreciate
that call.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
And that'll do it for the best bits of the week.
Thank you again for listening. If it's your first time...
your second.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Time, third time, even.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Though this is only my second time, but maybe you
listened before. But either way, whether it's your 100th time,
your second time, first time, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Thank you for listening.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
I hope you have a great weekend, great Saturday if
you're listening on Saturday, Sunday if you're listening on Sunday.
I hope it's getting cooler wherever you're at. I know
here in Middle Tennessee, in Nashville, it's starting.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
To get cool. It feels great. We're getting a little
rain for the first time in a while. We got football.
We have colder weather. We got leaves falling.

Speaker 5 (40:51):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
I'm ready for it. I hope you are, and I
hope you have a great, great weekend. Thanks again.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Make sure you follow on social media. I am at kickoffkevin,
the show at bobbyboneshow, and that'll do it. I'll talk
to you next weekend.

Speaker 5 (41:08):
Peace.
