Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Bobby Bones Show, everybody roll, yeah. Something that we're
going to get to maybe in a little bit because
Scuba Steve is not in the room right now, is
that he walked up on a dead body yesterday and
he's like, I just saw a dead body. And I said,
what do you mean? He goes, yeah, it's right by
your parking spot in the building. I said, what? Oh,
you don't know someone was killed here?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
No.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Oh, Amy.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Wait, what?
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
He just walked in.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Ray, can you tell them we're talking about him? He's
got a backpack on. Yeah, there was a murder shootout
right here.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
I saw on the news a shooting in a parking
garage downtown. I'm like, well, that's sad. Then I saw
the address. I'm like, that's our address.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Wait, what time?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
It was yesterday morning.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
9 a.m.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
It was at my parking spot.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
But that's so limited access.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yes. Scuba, did you see the body?
Speaker 6 (00:52):
Yeah, so I was here getting ahead on stuff with
some other shows and recording stuff.
.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
.
Speaker 6 (01:02):
.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
The guy
sees me. He's like, what'd you see? And then I
get shot.
Speaker 6 (01:29):
So I was like, let me just stay here for
a little bit longer. And I shot some videos, recorded videos.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
No pun. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
And then I was like, okay, well, now I got
to go. And I go downstairs and I come downstairs
out of the stairwell and I see two girls crying.
And then I see this caution tape right in front
of my truck. And it says, police line, do not cross.
And so I'm thinking, are they shooting like Nashville 911?
Or is this a music video?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, like a TV show. I would have thought the
same thing.
Speaker 6 (01:54):
So immediately I'm desensitized to that, having lived- you know,
here in LA and other places. And I was like, well,
let me just go across the caution tape. So I
go underneath the caution tape, I turn around the corner
and within like two steps, I'm looking at a dead
body for five seconds. And I see like 30, 40
cops with notepads and like cameras and they're assessing the situation.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
They're like, Hey, what are you doing past the caution tape?
And I was like, oh, I'm sorry. I didn't think
this was real.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I had no idea.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Are you Leanne Rimes? From Nashville 911? Where is she?
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Yeah, and so then an officer pulls me over to
the side and he starts questioning me and he's like, hey,
what are you doing here? And I was like, well,
I work upstairs and I was getting ahead for tomorrow.
And he's like, are you the only one up there?
I'm like, I'm by myself. And he goes, you're by yourself?
I was like, yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
And he was like, is anyone else up there? And
I said, no. And he goes, let me see your ID.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
And so he takes a picture of my ID and
starts questioning me, like asking me where I was at
certain times and what was going on.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
I'm like, am I getting questioned for the murder right now? Dude,
what if they would have pegged him as a murderer?
Speaker 6 (02:49):
So I was already thinking about time stamps and recordings
and things to put me not there to be over here.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Your alibi.
Speaker 6 (02:54):
My alibi. I have recorded alibis. I'm like, okay, my
MP3s were saved at 845, 9. And I recorded a
video at this time, so it wasn't me. And the
guy was asking a bunch of questions. And I was like, man,
I got to get out of here. I have to
go to a kid's birthday party and stuff. He's like, well,
your truck is pretty much going to be parked here
for the entire day. You're not going to be able
to leave. And I was like, well, can I get
my wife to pick me up? And he's like, yeah,
you're free to go, but you can't drive out of
(03:16):
here because you can't go past the scene. So I
called my wife. She came, picked me up, and did
the rest of my day. And then throughout the whole
day yesterday, I couldn't leave. My truck was stuck there
until this morning.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
So it's on a dead body. There was a shootout here,
right beside. It's where we get out of our cars.
And it was up right here at my.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Well, so do we know what happened?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Let's ask Scuba.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
So from what I saw, it looked like, I don't
know if it was a resident or a homeless person
because he didn't look, I mean, it's hard to tell
because it was so early in the morning if he
was wearing like, he was wearing basketball shorts and a t-shirt.
So it could have been somebody coming down to the
garage to meet somebody, like a drug deal gone bad
or a domestic violence type deal. Cause then they were like,
when I came back later to leave, leave, they had
like a crime scene guy out there, like putting all
the numbers down and they're talking about, yeah, I think
(04:00):
the shot came from over here. Look at this blood
spatter over here. And they're going through the whole thing.
So I think it was a two person shootout. Cause
then I asked, I was like, should I be concerned?
for my staff to come in tomorrow, is there like
a shooter on the loose? And they said, well, we
haven't caught the shooter.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
He's gone.
Speaker 6 (04:14):
He or she is gone, but you should be safe
to come into work tomorrow. And I was like, well,
that doesn't seem really safe. You don't even caught the shooter.
So then I'm wondering if it's like, if it was
an officer involved shooting and they, someone stepped in to
shoot or it was somebody.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I can read you the news. It sounds like we
don't know. Well, I know that's knowing, but, and we
were recording 25 whistles, our sports show yesterday. And, Right
when we're starting, Eddie goes, somebody was shot in our
parking garage. And I say, yeah, I talked to Scuba.
He saw the body. And so, is this the most
updated one? Yeah. Okay, this is from WSMV. According to police,
(04:48):
two male suspects drove into the garage prior to... What
is that word? Is that the person's name?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Arrival in his vehicle. Police said shots were exchanged between
this person and the suspects. A handgun was recovered near...
His right hand and police said that person died. Police
said six pounds of marijuana was recovered from his vehicle.
During a search of the apartment linked to him, police
said they recovered more than 200 pounds of marijuana. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Drug dealer, okay.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
Sounds like a drug deal.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Oh, my. We're just amongst this?
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Amy, I think it's everywhere.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Amy, it's everywhere you go. I know.
Speaker 6 (05:24):
But the scary part is even when we moved here,
I was like, this kind of sucks. We live and
work in a building where it's also a residence. I've
never worked in a place where it was like half.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
But it's like nice. It's just been just the work. Yeah,
and it's, There's multiple gates to get through certain places.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
That's what I, like.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
But they tailgated in is what the police are saying
is that a car had to come in the gate
and they followed them in.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
They are ballsy because I'm always scared that thing's going
to fall on me.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Come right down.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Guillotine your car?
Speaker 5 (05:49):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Like, even if I'm following, like, Bobby out of your lunch, like,
if y'all were ahead of me, I would be like, nope,
I need to back up and wait because I would
be too nervous.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Lunchbox, what else do you see?
Speaker 3 (05:59):
I've been told that they showed up. They knew that
he had the marijuana and.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Who's they?
Speaker 3 (06:04):
The two suspects.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
And you've been told by who?
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I'm not talking about it, but they said that they
waited for him to get home.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
They were waiting for him.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
So he lived here?
Speaker 3 (06:15):
He lived here.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
And when they say apartment, it was here.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Yes, he lived up there, and they said, hey, you're
going to give us all that up in your apartment,
and that's when the shootout occurred.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Well, why don't you just say, okay, like.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, if you have a gun.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Go take it.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
And also, I'm from the streets. You don't do that
to me.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
I mean, when you're... Dealing with 200 pounds.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
All the weed I have back there.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
So I don't understand 200 pounds. Like, is there a
monetary amount to that so I can have a better
understanding of what we're dealing with?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Well, with inflation and also the straight of Hormuz that's covered,
things are different right now.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I don't think those two things are related, but.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Can you see what the street value of 200 pounds of.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Weed would be between 160 and 600 000 i'm so.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Glad i didn't go downstairs and check it out because
i could have been shot by those people who've been
trying to buy it yeah and then.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
No they would have been gone by the time you
heard those shots they were in their car and.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
Gone gone yeah that makes sense because they i mean
the weird part is when he when he died i
guess in that moment my whole day it was off
yesterday it's almost like because i was i looked at
it position wise where he was laying and where i'm
at in that studio he's literally where his spirit would
lift is right where I was sitting.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
Oh, no.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Where his spirit would lift. So you think he came
through the building and what he got into?
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Ever since he died, I've felt like a different person,
and I don't feel like myself. Are you doing a joke? Yes,
he is. No, I'm 100% serious.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Somebody died.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
That's why I'm asking Scuba, because he does believe stuff
like this.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Well, I know. He had a ghost under his body
in San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yes, it's not the first time.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
No, I have felt completely different to the point where
I don't want to be in this building anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I feel weird.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Well, could it be because you feel weird that that
all happened here?
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yeah, it all happened right underneath me.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
You heard it.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
You heard it.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
You felt it.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Imagine how I feel coming into work today all happy
to see y'all for the first time, like walking through
the parking garage like it ain't no thing.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
You're not the victim here.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
You're not the victim here.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
I know I'm not.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
I know.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
But I'm saying I was freely, I had to get
dropped off because I don't have a car. So I
walked the entire parking garage just by myself like this
is safe.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
This is normal.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Well, you didn't have any cocaine in your pockets or anything, right?
Speaker 3 (08:12):
You didn't get in the elevator?
Speaker 5 (08:13):
It's just a normal day for you, Amy.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
No, I know.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Also, why didn't you get in the elevator instead of
walking all the way around? That's interesting.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
That's a great point.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Unless you just wanted to walk.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Here's why. You know the thing we're supposed to have
on our phone to access the building a different way?
I don't have that. So I have to only use
that key fob and it only works on the staircases.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, weird day yesterday.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
That is very weird.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
And this feels so bizarre. I'm sorry you saw that, dude.
That won't leave your mind ever.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
No.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
When Eddie was doing the news, he would see that.
And he still talks about how traumatizing it was. Yes.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I saw multiple dead bodies. And I can tell you
exactly what they look like right now.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
That's so terrible.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
That's burning in my brain. That's all I see. So
that was yesterday. And I thought Scuba was kidding when
he told me that at first. And then I said, really?
Speaker 5 (09:06):
He goes, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I walked up on it. Here's what happened. And then
I didn't want the ghost to come to me, so
I ignored him for a few hours.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
And look at Lunchbox with the inside information.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Dang.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
So the police go probably to that apartment, and now
they've seized all the drugs?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
That I don't know. Now, my question is— Do you
know that, if they went and seized the drugs?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I mean, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
According to the news, that's how they— Also.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Once you see there's two and you're only one, I
think that's when you're like, you know what? You guys
got me.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Unless you feel threatened. No, no.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
I'm saying that's when you're like, man, I don't think
I can get shots off to get both of them.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Unless you feel like you're going to get shot anyway.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, I guess even if you give them the weed,
they may.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Are there any other drug dealers in this building?
Speaker 1 (09:48):
You know, you should go do a sweep. Just ask people.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Go door to door.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
I think now is a fair time to ask.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Well, now that they've made marijuana even more illegal in
our state, this is going to continue to happen as
you take it out of stores and online.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
The streets. So this is the repercussions. Well, no, it
was never legal here.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
But they had a version of it, though.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
No, I do. They had a version of it. And
July 1st, they cut off DHCA. But that's not the same.
And listen, I'm pro-legalization for many reasons, and I've never
even touched it, but it's not the same. But when
you move in.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
That direction, you've now taken a step back further and
you're going toward the streets versus the stores.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I can understand fundamentally why that could be an argument
in states where something was there and then they removed it,
or even prohibition time. Like we could get into prohibition
and how they shut down alcohol. This is not that.
But they were there. It was THCA, dude. They had
a version of it. I feel you. And they were
moving towards the right direction, and we went backwards in time.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Even if it was legal, you could still have dealers
that have a large amount in their house and cheaper.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
There's less of them.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
When you go to places where they have it, it's
in the stores versus on the streets.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I am not going to judge Scuba for his feelings
right now. A little distraught, so maybe thinking not the best.
Even though I feel he's wrong, but I do understand
why you would say that, and that does happen on
a bigger level for sure. What, Eddie?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Okay. Yeah, so it happened. Did you stop? 25 feet
from where we sit.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
That is crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Do we know how old he was? Does he have
a family?
Speaker 1 (11:17):
He looked like he was in his 40s, maybe. Oh,
that's true. Scuba saw it.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
I think he was in his 20s.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I was going to go, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
You say 20s? I think so.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Oh, he didn't look good for 20s.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Lunchbox, where?
Speaker 5 (11:27):
I'm so curious where he got all his information.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Running drugs can be stressful. I think I.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Okay, what? Running drugs can be stressful?
Speaker 3 (11:33):
You think?
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Well, Scooby.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
scuba said he looked older than 20 and i'm like
well maybe he was stressful oh stressed out so you
look like you age faster with stress this.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Has gone to an area of i just the segment
i didn't think we would go but uh okay let's
uh let's all catch our breath everybody good good we
can talk about our vacations next do you guys want
to do that.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Sure he was 26 to be exact.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Okay let a rough life though it.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Was a stressful Rough life, nice house.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, it's a nice complex.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
He's living.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
If you have that much weed, you're trying to afford it.
He was making money.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yeah, a lot.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Yeah, making a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
But making a lot of money is stressful. It is.
I can tell you.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
And it makes you look older.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Hey.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
You know.
Speaker 1 (12:12):

Bobby Bones.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Hope everybody had a good, hopefully, three-day weekend. We had
all new shows last week, but we were on vacation.
One of the reasons that I don't share we're going
on vacation is we're going to do all new shows,
so it really doesn't matter. But two, and it's something
that we've talked about a few times, is I don't
want people knowing we're not at home to come and
rob our house. So sometimes people online will be like,
why don't you say when you're going on vacation? I'd
(12:40):
rather not get robbed. So it's as much a safety
thing as it is anything. So that's why we never say, hey,
but we work really hard to not do reruns. And
we had all new podcasts and We did a 90s
country special for every year of the 90s that you
guys can. But we went on vacation last week. And me,
my wife, Billy, our baby, and Caitlin's parents, we all
(13:04):
went to East Tennessee, the Smoky Mountains, rented a cabin,
and spent a few days there. The thing about a
vacation with a baby.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
This is your first vacation with a baby.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Yeah. It's not really a vacation.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Well, the baby has to wake up. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
And it doesn't just get up and make breakfast and
hang out. So it was really the first vacation that
was not restful. We knew that going in, but we
also learned a lot because the last vacation, we just
stayed home because Billy was two months old. This one,
she's five months now. And so, you know, she can
drink a beer and stuff, so she's good. She's older. Yeah.
(13:47):
But we didn't do things like bring blackout curtains. So
when we put her in, like, a small room and
when it gets light, she just wakes up. Oh yeah.
So we had a great time and I'm telling you, I,
not just because Billy was, was there, but when Caitlin's
parents go anywhere with us, I love it. They're just
the best and I love having them around. So we
did that and I did a whole Q and a
(14:09):
that'll go up on today's Bobby bone show podcast and
you'll hear it. And I do talk about that more,
but our vacation was good.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
It was good.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
And I won't say that I came back rested, but
I came back a little more, uh, cup full, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
That's a good way to put it.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
So we'll talk more about it in our part two
podcast if you guys want to hear that. Just go
Bobby Boncho podcast, hit subscribe. Amy, your vacation?
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Fantastic. I went to Ecuador to visit my cousin.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Ecuador, Texas?
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Oh, Ecuador, Tennessee.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Yeah, I went to Cuenca, Ecuador.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
The country.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
The country. And who knew I was going to experience such–
elevation sickness, like altitude sickness.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Is that from the mountains?
Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah, we were very, very high up, which I mean,
my sister's place in Colorado were like 7,000 square feet
or 7,000 feet. Sometimes I get a little, but I
was at over 9,000 and live in life.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
That's almost two miles.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
And sometimes we'd go up even higher for various things.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
What was your elevation sickness? Headaches?
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Nausea. I was restless. I woke up in the middle
of the night multiple times thinking I got food poisoning.
And then my cousin was like, no, no, you're adjusting
to the altitude. My heart felt weird.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Did you do any oxygen? Did you go find any?
Did you do any IV or anything?
Speaker 4 (15:27):
No, I just powered through. Her husband ended up giving
me some meds, but it was a little too late.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Ecuadorian meds?
Speaker 1 (15:33):
I don't know what they were.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
But what I should have done is I should have
started taking something before I even left for the trip.
And then I would have been probably better. But I
was trying to play catch up. So that was the
only downfall. But other than that, it was so relaxing
and amazing.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Eddie?
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Well, it was cool. I went to New York because
my son had turned 13 years old. And every time
they turned 13, I'd take my boys wherever they want
to go. Like, you pick it, you go. And so
my son picked New York City. We went. It was great.
And then somewhere in the middle of the trip, I
was like, oh, my throat hurts so bad. I don't
know what it is. It feels like razor blades in
my throat. I come back. I go to the doctor.
(16:11):
I got COVID.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
He got sick with COVID.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
So I had COVID the whole break.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Oh, no.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
It was terrible. I know.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
That sucks for him. I text him. I was like,
what's up? How's the trip going? Because I would text
him during the trip because I needed to check in
with Eddie every hour. I don't feel myself.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
I'm like, hey.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
And so he's updating me. The trip's awesome. We're going.
And then he said, oh, I feel terrible. I have COVID.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Yeah, I knew something was up. We were at Little
Italy and I was eating my pasta and I was like, ooh,
something's just not right in my throat. And then sure enough,
but it's funny when you go to the doctor now
and they're like, we have to break it to you. Like,
they're still very sad about it. Like, you have COVID.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
No, it's okay.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
It's not 2020. We're good now.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Did you get most of your... New York trip in
before COVID hit?
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
It was the last day.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Oh, that's good.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
It was the last day when it kicked in.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
I'm sorry that happened to you, man.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
No, it's okay, though.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
You didn't deserve that.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
It's all right. It's fine. I was going to do
a staycation anyway. It just happened to be one where
I was kind of laying low most of the time.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Lunchbox?
Speaker 3 (17:10):
We went to St.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Louis.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Tell them what happened.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
My wife was in charge of planning our trip, and
I don't want to call her an idiot.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Then don't. Don't.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
I don't want to. But we wanted somewhere where we
could drive so it wouldn't take that long. So it's
only about a four and a half hour drive and
go see a Major League Baseball game. She's like, we
can go see the Cardinals. They're in town because she's
the planner. So we drove to St.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Louis.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
The Cardinals were in California.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
So there was no game.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
No game.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
So she probably looked at the schedule and it just
said St. Louis at.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Were they the Angels?
Speaker 3 (17:43):
I think they were playing the Dodgers and the Giants.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
That would have been good.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
And so she just saw St. Louis versus whatever, and
she thought, oh, they're in St.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Louis.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
So we went to St. Louis because the boys love baseball,
and we thought, oh, we'll go to a Major League
Baseball game. There was no game.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
So we walked outside the stadium and said, hey, guys,
this is where they play Major League Baseball.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
On the other side of these walls.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Yeah, on the other side of these walls, they play baseball,
but they're not here.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
No, I'm sorry. But.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
There was other stuff to do in St. Louis, so
it was fine.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
What was the best part of it?
Speaker 3 (18:16):
There's this place called City Museum. It is a jungle
gym for kids that is the coolest thing I have
ever seen on this planet for kids.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Did your parents let you do something like that when
you were a kid?
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Good question, Amy.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I don't think my parents knew that existed. I hit
up Dusty from the Bowl in St. Louis, and he
told me, you've got to go to City Museum.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
Free tickets?
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Free tickets.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
He definitely hooked me up, you know what I mean?
And I walk in and everybody told me this place
is so crazy. It's so busy. You cannot take your
eyes off your kids. You will lose them. It's four
stories plus an outside and the roof of climbing on
things and tunnels and caves. And we had the place
(18:59):
to ourselves. There were only 50 people there because it
was a school day.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Oh, that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah. And so we had the play and it was,
you go on the rooftop and you're climbing on school
buses that are hanging over the edge of the building.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Did you like it more than they did?
Speaker 5 (19:11):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Dude, it was so cool. And there was like, there's
one place where there's tunnels and caves and you, there's
just crevices and you crawl and you go in and
out and you could spend three days there and not
climb through everything that they have.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Would you go back to St. Louis because that's there?
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
It is a must take your kids to.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
So it was fine. There was no baseball game.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
It turned out.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
Okay, good.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Do you know if they're a client to the local St.
Louis station?
Speaker 3 (19:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
They should be after that endorsement. You should send them that.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
It is the coolest place to take your kids. It
is worth a trip just to St. Louis to go
to the city museum. I tell you, unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Title of the file, guy that hates everything. loves something.
Hit him with the website, Lunchbox. You know the website?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
I don't know the website. City Museum. That's dusty.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
I would think City Museum's a museum, though.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
It is also a museum. They have old buildings, the
fronts of them. It's like, oh, this building was built
in 1800, and they tore it down in 1915. Citymuseum.org. Dude.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
That's easy.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
It was amazing.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
We'll go into a little more detail. I want to
hear more about Amy's Ecuador trip for sure on the
Bobby Bones Show podcast.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Well, and the fact that I even made it in
the country because it was dicey.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Oh, yeah. Amy comes back a member of the cartel.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
What'd you have on you? She's a mule.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Okay. It's the Anonymous Inbox.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Anonymous Inbox. If there's a question to.
Speaker 6 (20:34):
Be had, send it in to the mailbag.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Hello, Bobby Bones. My wife says every vacation should include relaxing.
I want every vacation packed with activities because I feel
like I'm wasting time otherwise. What side are you on? Signed,
booked every minute.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Both can be true. Yeah. My relaxing is doing fun
stuff that is just fun. So I like to be active.
I like to have a schedule. I like to know
where I'm going, when I'm going to be there, how
long it's going to be. I like to look forward
to things. I like to check things off when completed.
I like, but it's fun stuff. So it's the same
way I live my life, but instead of work stuff,
(21:14):
it's fun stuff. That's vacation to me. Being active. My wife,
the opposite. She loves to just relax and read a
book and sit on the beach.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
So for serious question, when you're on vacation, you, you,
do you physically go to your notes app and check
off on things?
Speaker 1 (21:28):
Serious answer. Um, yeah, I, you know, we, our last vacation,
I showed you my app.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I know, but that was you, you, you creating more.
I'm talking like you were creating stuff cause you stayed home.
But if you were to go, if you're on one
of your trips that you've gone on, do you, when
you've got a day book, do you have them in
your notes app and you, you physically check it off
after you complete it?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
It depends. I'll put it on my calendar if it's
something that I know we're going to do at a
certain time. If I need to get certain things completed
during the day or the trip, I put it in
my notes app. And you can do now the bullet
points and hit the circle and it fills it. Yeah.
I don't know what that's called, but does that make sense?
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
And you push the thumb and it goes, boom, completed.
I do that if I'm on vacation for a week
and I need to work out four times. I'll put
workout four times and I'll do one, then two, then three,
then a four, boom, completed. If it's like read as
much of a book, don't forget to send these emails
to these people during vacation because I'm not going to
do a ton of work. But yes, that stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
I just didn't know because you just said I like
to do fun things and cross them off the list.
And so I was picturing you being like Eiffel Tower.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Well, mostly it's like signing up for things and then
doing them. So I want something every day that I
can do. And so I'll create a list before the
list of things that I want to do. And then
once I get it scheduled, click, done. So I have
a list of things that I'm going to do and
want to do so I don't forget to book them.
(22:56):
It's a list for the list.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
For the calendar.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Man, my calendar does not get open during vacation at all.
Or my list app. None of that.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Or my notes app.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
But that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
But I like it.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
I know you do.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Yeah, that's fun for you. My relaxing is doing fun
things on a schedule.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Instead of not fun things on a schedule. My wife
is no schedule, laying on a beach, reading a book,
whatever that is, pool.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
So would it feel better to you if on your
schedule you put like, relax.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Ooh, do that.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Then you get to check it off.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
I jump off the building.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Do nothing on the beach.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I put as one of the things on my thing,
jump off the building.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Lay around and do nothing.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
If I did, I would do this. Lay on the
beach with Caitlin for one hour.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
And you set a timer.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
And I would do that just to make sure that
I prioritize doing something that maybe I don't enjoy that
she does.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Right.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
So that I go and do that and I don't
blow it off by going, no, I'm going to go
do this. I want to make sure that I do
get enough of those in as well. And that's vacation.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
We vacation differently.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Nothing more relaxing, right?
Speaker 3 (24:02):
This story comes to us from Brevard County, Florida. A
man was busted going 117 miles an hour on the highway.
Police pull him over and go, what's going on, man?
He's like, I really got to go to the bathroom.
I'm just trying to get to the bathroom. They're like, well,
there was a lot of gas stations on that last exit.
And he said, no, no, no. The Buc-ee's is a
(24:22):
few miles ahead. I want to go to their bathroom.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
It's clean.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
It's the best one.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
A lot of clean bathrooms.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Also, I think the cops are like, hey, what's going on, man?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (24:32):
You were going 117. What's going on? What's happening with you?
You know, they came out, maybe even guns drawn. Somebody
going 117. Okay.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. All right.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
According to this poll, 64% of people do this right
after a vacation.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
64% of us do it right after a vacation. So
think about that. 64% of us do this right after
a vacation. What is it? All right, we're going to
play Never Gonna Get It. Hit that.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
No, you're not gonna get it. Never, never gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Not this time.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
No, you're not gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Never, never, never, never.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
All right.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
64% of us do it right after vacation. We have
Nick on the phone right now in Ohio. Nick, what's up, man? Hey,
how's it going? Going pretty good. Here's what we're going
to do. We're going to give you, if you win
this game here, we'll give you some prizes here from
the studio. And we're also going to give you a
gift card for $ 500 to Airtasker where you can get
anything done. If it's like mounting a TV, moving help, whatever,
(25:32):
we'll talk about that. But $ 500 gift card to Airtasker
and also some crap from the back here at the studio.
The question is... 64% of us do this right after
a vacation. What is it? So, Nick, you get to
answer first, and if you miss it, that's okay, but
what do you have?
Speaker 5 (25:48):
64% do it after a vacation is what you said.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
That's correct.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Do laundry.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Great guess.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Did anybody have do laundry?
Speaker 2 (25:55):
I did.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Who did?
Speaker 3 (25:58):
I did.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Amy and Lunchbox did. Did you guys feel good about that?
Speaker 4 (26:00):
I felt like it was higher than 64%, but it's
all I have.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
It is not. It's not do laundry. Do laundry. But
that is a great guess. So Nick, you're still on.
You got two more chances here. So think about another answer.
Amy and Lunchbox, you can redo your answers.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Got it.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Eddie, you still have yours?
Speaker 5 (26:16):
I still have mine.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Okay. 64% of us do this right after a vacation.
So Abby, sorry, Abby's a new player. Abby, you good? Yeah,
I got it.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
So Nick, you get to pick two players here. If
either one of them get it right, you win. You
can pick from Abby, who's new. Amy, Lunchbox, or Eddie?
Let's go Amy and Lunchbox.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
There you go, my man. Nick, do you listen to
the show, dude?
Speaker 4 (26:41):
I do.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
The last time I played it, I picked you and Lunchbox. Oh,
Nick's been on before.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Okay, okay, got it.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Okay, we just reached back in the bucket here.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
My bad.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Okay. All right, Nick, good luck, buddy.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
All right, here we go. Here we go. Who do
you pick?
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Amy and Lunchbox?
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Abby, what do you have?
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Go grocery shopping.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Anybody else have that?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Nope.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
No, but that's good.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Eddie, what'd you have? Guys, I think I got it. Like,
for the first time ever, I think I got it.
You've never got it?
Speaker 5 (27:08):
I mean, maybe once or twice.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Okay. But I put down. And why'd you yell at
Nick about picking?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Yeah, exactly. Really weird.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
Because it's just my thing. You know, make him feel
bad for not picking me. Post on social media. You
got to post the whole trip on social media.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
That's not it.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
Yes, it is.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Got it, got it, got it. Amy with the hate
right there. Amy, what do you have?
Speaker 4 (27:25):
Get sick.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
What? You don't choose that.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
64%.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
That's interesting.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
I always get sick on vacation because my body finally
allows time to go.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
You talked about that. So your answer is?
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Get sick.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Lunchbox?
Speaker 3 (27:36):
It's post those pics.
Speaker 6 (27:38):
Hey!
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Post those pics. Post those pics. Post those pics.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Post those pics.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Post them. Got to post those pics.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
We got it.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
And guess who's right? Nobody.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
What?
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Okay, okay. We can start over.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
You got one more round here.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Not post those pics.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
All right, Nick, so you can have one more shot,
and you can either pick if one of the group
gets it or if everybody misses it. So will someone
get it at all, any of the four, or will
everybody miss it? What do you think?
Speaker 5 (28:10):
I think everybody misses it. Oh, Nick, I think I
got it. I think I got it.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Man.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
All right. I don't know which one to go with, but.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
Oh, yeah, multiples?
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Yeah, I got multiple great answers.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
Yeah, I have a couple.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
All right. Okay.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
What are you laughing at?
Speaker 1 (28:34):
This is how stupid this game is. Okay, let's go
first over to Amy. Amy, 64% of us do it
right after vacation.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
What do you have?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Get food to go. Okay.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Abby?
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Abby?
Speaker 4 (28:46):
Unpack your bag, like your suitcase.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Right when you get in.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
That's 100%. This is right after.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
I know. I'll leave mine for three days. Don't be
a hater.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Don't be a hater.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
I guess that could be good, I guess.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Lunchbox.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Yeah, take a day off for recovery. Take a day off.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Eddie. Guys. Guys, you go on vacation, and what did
you just do? You blew a bunch of money. So
you start saving money.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Okay. What?
Speaker 5 (29:14):
You start saving money.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
That's what you do.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
Yeah. Yeah, he looked at Mike. Yeah, that was the
right answer.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
He looked at Mike and it was like the dumbest
answer ever. It was like, how ridiculous is that?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
So according to 64% of us, and Nick has selected
that nobody gets it, one of you got it.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Yes!
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Let's go!
Speaker 1 (29:34):
So Nick, that sucks for you because you didn't win.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Bam.
Speaker 5 (29:38):
Darn.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
I know.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Who got it?
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Oh, Amy. I mean.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Is it Abby?
Speaker 5 (29:45):
I don't know. I feel like.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Because the other 36%, we don't unpack right away.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
The answer is.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Same way.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Colin to work.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Yeah!
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Amy, it's call in sick. You said be sick and
we couldn't give.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
It to you.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
It had a double meaning.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
It could have been be sick. Because you can sometimes
call in sick if you are sick. And then he
didn't even say call in sick. He said call in.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
Dang, because I almost said get sick. I know.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
People do that?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Nick.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Bad luck, man.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
That's all right.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I'll tell you what, I'll give you a Hail Mary here.
I'll ask you one straight up, and if you get it,
you win the prize. It's a different one, okay?
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
All right, here we go. Just about all Americans have
one of these, but 100 years ago, only about 10%
of people had one. This is just for you, Nick.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
A refrigerator.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
What do you think?
Speaker 4 (30:46):
A phone.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Nah.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
A phone, 100 years?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
It can't be technology. It's not technology, but... A house phone.
I mean, it's like in 1920... Six.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Something.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
I'm not even sure.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
I was going to say a vote.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Automobile.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
A middle name. Oh.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
Yeah, middle name.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
All right, Nick. Apparently you've played before, so better luck
next time. We'll get you on again some point.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
Is he going to have another next time?
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Why not? We didn't know he had a first time.
We got him up here.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
All right, Nick.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
No win for Nick.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Thank you for playing. Eddie keeps saying over and over
he can't read and he won't read, and so I
bought him a book. And it's a very small book.
It's called The Four Agreements. And you now have it
in your bag.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I have it.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
What we're going to do is we're going to give
Eddie 15 minutes each day to go in my office
and just read the book. Must be nice. During his
work time.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Must be nice. What are you talking about, Amy? This
is hell.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Good time off, man.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Did you say this is hell?
Speaker 5 (31:42):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
What?
Speaker 1 (31:43):
To read?
Speaker 4 (31:43):
I would love a little 15-minute reading break at work.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
You guys must have liked school, too, huh?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
No.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
No, actually.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Not particularly. I was pretty good at it, but I
didn't like it.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
It's just like 15 minutes. If you ask me, you
can do anything you want in 15 minutes. This is
the last thing I would pick. But cool, I'll read it, dude.
I'll read it.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
So today, when we finish the show, because we stick
around and we do a whole podcast that is only
on the podcast feed, when we start doing that, you're
going to take 15 minutes, and you're going to go
into my office, and you're just going to read for
15 minutes. And you're going to do it every day
until you finish the book.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Yes, sir, you got it.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Is he going to come back in and recap what
he read?
Speaker 1 (32:22):
No.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Thank goodness.
Speaker 5 (32:24):
Because what if I come back and I'm like, I
read half a page, dude. I got distracted.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
You shouldn't be distracted because there's nothing in my office.
Don't take your phone with you.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
My mind.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Good point. No phone. Okay. You go in. You sit
down on the couch in my office, and you just
read for 15 minutes. And if you finish a page,
and you're like, I don't know that page.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I need to read it again.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Read it again.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
No napping.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
Are there four chapters in this thing? Or is it
just four agreements?
Speaker 1 (32:45):
There's four agreements. Okay.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
And that's the chapter?
Speaker 1 (32:48):
And the reason that I picked that book, I read
that book about once every year, maybe a little more
than that. I love it. Really?
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
And it teaches me a lot about myself. A lot
of the values that I hold and things I need
to work on. And it's also really short.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
You know, I will say my wife is like, she
saw it in my bag and she's like, are you
reading that?
Speaker 1 (33:07):
You already filmed it.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
And I said, yeah, I'm going to read it. She's like, what,
like for fun? I was like, no, for work. And
then she said, that's a really good book. I read
that in college. So maybe we'll talk about it.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
And she's already going, oh, a book. She's probably like
thinking you're hot.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
I know.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
I know.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
You can be that guy. Cool. So today you're going
to start 15 minutes a day until you finish a book.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
All right. And you think I can finish this in
how long?
Speaker 1 (33:32):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
That's not important.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Probably six months.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
If we're here in 2029 and you still haven't finished
that book, you'll still be taking 15 minutes. I just
want you to prove to you that you can read.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Okay. No, I can't read.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
No, you have so many excuses. You're like, I can't focus.
I can't read. You talk more about what you can't
do than what you can do.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
All right.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
So today you're going to do that.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Thank you for allowing me to do that, by the way.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Amy, do you want 15 minutes of reading time at work?
Speaker 4 (33:59):
That would be great.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
She was like so jealous.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
That would be such a nice, relaxing break.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
It is kind of weird what you guys whine about
and then get. Like, you get free time at work
to read. Lunchbox got a free flight to Vegas. You
just whine about stuff.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Am I doing this all wrong?
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Amy doesn't whine about anything and doesn't get anything.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
Oh, Amy doesn't whine about anything?
Speaker 5 (34:14):
Don't compare me with him.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
No, it is.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
No, it's not the same.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
It is.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
You guys cry about stuff.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
And say, well, you can't do.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Well, Lunchbox seems to think I whine about something he can...
Let us know what that is.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Yeah, what does she whine about?
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Oh, she whines about everything.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
He has no answer. He has no answer. He has
no answer. Okay, we're going to start today, okay?
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
All right, now time for the morning corny.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
The morning corny.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
How did God cure Moses' headache?
Speaker 1 (34:46):
How did God cure Moses' headache?
Speaker 5 (34:52):
That's why you say it.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
No.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
You tell us the joke right there.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
That's when you fill in the blanks.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
He gave him two tablets.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Oh, funny.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
That was the morning corny.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
All right, voicemail.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Lunchbox is talking about having no car, and I just wondered,
is the pallet that he got from The Price is Right,
the gym equipment, Is it still sitting on his patio?
Speaker 5 (35:24):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Lunchbox one, a gym set, like weightlifting stuff. And Price
is right. It's been sitting on his front porch.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Is it still there? Yeah, that's breaking news, guys. I
was able to stand it up on its side and
roll it into the house.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
So you haven't sold it yet.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
No, my wife hadn't listed it yet, but it is
in the house and the door does kind of hit
it every time you open it because it's so big.
But I was able to finally somersault it into the house.
And so now there's like a hole in the box,
but it is still unopened. Do you plan to sell it?
I plan to sell it.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
But you're blaming it on your wife?
Speaker 3 (36:05):
Yes, because she is the social media director for like
Facebook marketplace and all that. Like, she knows how to
do all that.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
What?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
The social media director? In his house? Yeah, of your house,
she's the social media director.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
Got it.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
All right, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
And how much do you want for it?
Speaker 3 (36:18):
$ 9. 99, I believe, because you said don't put $ 1, 000. $ 9. 99
is a little more attractive. But when I talk to
the people, I'll be like, you know, if you're going
to pay cash, just give me $ 1, 000.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
What's the suggested retail price?
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Like $ 1, 400, I believe.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
That's a $ 500 discount. Wait, what?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
$ 500 discount.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
You said $ 1, 400? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Yeah, maybe it's, yeah, yeah. That'd be a $ 400?
Speaker 4 (36:45):
$ 401.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
My bad. Did you ever get your computer from Price
is Right?
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Computer. It's in my house.
Speaker 5 (36:51):
With the webcam?
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Open? With the webcam, no, it's sitting under the kitchen table.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Under the kitchen table?
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Are you going to use any of this stuff?
Speaker 4 (36:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
I kind of want to put up the computer just
so I have something that I got on the Price
is Right, but that's a $ 2, 000 computer. Sell it. Who cares?
Who cares? Sell it.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Take a picture of you from Price is Right.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Put that on the wall.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
I mean, that might be cool to keep.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
A computer?
Speaker 4 (37:14):
Keep the computer and you can have it forever.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
I got a question.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
It's technology.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
It's going to keep changing. It's going to evolve.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Just put a picture of you up on Price is Right.
I have a question.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Serious question. And you're going to call me stupid.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
So I was on Price is Right, right? How do
I get a professional photo of that? How do you
get it from the TV, like a professional photo, so
I can hang it on my wall?
Speaker 1 (37:37):
You don't have any? They didn't send you like a
Dropbox link of anything they took of you?
Speaker 3 (37:42):
They had videos.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Okay. You could probably get in a video and take
a high resolution, but I don't know how high the
resolution the videos are.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Maybe I'll email them and say, hey, do you have
any pictures of me?
Speaker 5 (37:52):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Just say that only. Hey, do you have any pictures
of me? Just do what they say back. But I
would want a picture of that. Yeah, I'd really want
a picture of me and Drew. Did you guys stand together?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yeah, guys, when I was on the stage and I'm sitting-
But did you take one together? No, no, I figured
they had cameras going the whole time, right?
Speaker 1 (38:10):
A video camera. If the video they sent you is
high resolution enough, Mike could grab one from it. Okay.
But we could see. I'll check that Dropbox, see if
it still works. What about your shoesy one?
Speaker 3 (38:22):
I haven't got Jimmy Choo yet. That's weird.
Speaker 5 (38:25):
It's been a while.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Well- I figure they had to specially, because Jimmy Choo's
aren't just sitting around in a warehouse. They got to
make them. They are.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
They're absolutely sitting around. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
They're not making them specially for you.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
Dude, how long has it been?
Speaker 3 (38:38):
March 31st. So March, April, May, June, July, August.
Speaker 5 (38:43):
September.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
September. Almost six months.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Dang.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Man, we're coming up on the year anniversary.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
Are you surprised they haven't called you back for a
greatest of?
Speaker 5 (38:51):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
When they aired the rerun, did you think you.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Were going to get calls? I thought I was going
to get something.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
And?
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Still sitting here.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
Do they ever rerun a thing a third time?
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Probably. I figure around Christmas time they'll probably play me again.
Speaker 5 (39:06):
Re-air yours again.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
That could be your big break.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
100%.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
So to the caller, he still has the gym equipment.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
It's not on his porch anymore. It's in his house.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
And let me tell you who is thankful for that.
The mailman. He tells me, man, it's like a tripping
hazard over here, man. You're trying to break my legs.
Because we have the mailbox where it's up on the porch.
And he has to go. crawling across everything. He was
really annoyed by that.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
But we still have baseball bats, soccer balls, you know,
all that on the front porch.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
Cool, cool, cool.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Okay. Leave us a voicemail at any time. 877-77-BOBBY.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
All right.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
A little Giving Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Okay. Welcome back.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I went into my DMs. I just randomly pick people
and then help them out if they need it. And
then Lunchbox usually makes fun of me for giving them money.
So Lunchbox, you tell me how you feel about this one.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
I listen to Giving Tuesday. I think it's great that
you help people who need. I'd love to ask for
a little help for something really special to me. My
husband serves in the Army and is being awarded the...
I don't want to say because I don't want to
kind of dox them at all. But there's a military
ball coming up and it'd be so meaningful for us
to go. I'd love to have a little makeup, a
(40:25):
little hair, and I'd love to feel extra confident for
the evening. It would be to make that possible. Thank
you for even taking the time to read this. Okay.
And so I Venmo'd her the money for that.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
Why?
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Because she wanted to feel confident and get hair, makeup,
a little makeover.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
She can't go in the mirror and put makeup on?
Speaker 1 (40:46):
You're asking me?
Speaker 3 (40:47):
I'm just saying, like, most women have been putting makeup
on for most of their life. I'm pretty sure paying
the extra $ 200 for makeup.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Is more than that.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Well, I mean, then the hair. Like, I understand you
want to get a haircut.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Cool. No, hair is not a haircut.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
All right, blowout, whatever you call it. Don't they have those,
the blowouts?
Speaker 1 (41:06):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
But the makeup, like, you can literally do that in
your mirror. Like, I don't understand paying all that money.
What difference does it make?
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Amy, will you answer that one?
Speaker 4 (41:15):
I think this is a really special occasion, so if
she wants to take it up a notch and have
a fun evening and feel really confident and spending a
little extra on that, like a special night like this.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Would help her confidence.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Yeah, and you know what she should have done if
she knew this ball was coming up? Instead of going
to Starbucks every morning and getting coffee, put that money
in a kitty.
Speaker 5 (41:39):
You don't know she drinks Starbucks.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Okay. Okay. I guarantee you she has something where she
goes and gets something at a store or a restaurant.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
You can't guarantee that. Cause you don't know if you can.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
90% of people do that. And then they always, they complain. Oh,
I don't have any money. Well, you go get that
$ 12 sandwich every morning. That's probably why you could have
put that in the kitty. You'd have money for the
makeup and hair instead of begging Bobby.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
She didn't beg.
Speaker 3 (42:04):
She just kind of told me her story. And so
another thing of, Oh, If you can't afford it, then
you don't need it. This is a need. This is
not a need. It's a want. She wants this. It's
not the bare necessities. Bare necessities, I'm okay with.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
And I'm only supposed to do bare necessities with my money?
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
I didn't realize those were the rules.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
That's what it is. That's what frustrates me. Is you
give the glitz and glamour.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
This is literally glitz and glamour.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
I'm about to get evicted. I broke my leg and
I haven't had to work in a month. Okay, I
get it. Help them pay their rent, but.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
But, like, bring them a little extra joy in their
life for a special occasion. You're just anti that.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
Her husband serves.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
Oh, my gosh. Yes, I'm grateful for her husband. He serves.
But she can still put on her makeup herself.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
So one to ten, ten being a ridiculous waste of money,
where do you rate this?
Speaker 3 (42:53):
Six and a half.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Oh, well.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
Lower than I thought it would be.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Usually he just goes nine or ten regardless of what
it is.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Maybe the military service helps.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
He doesn't want to get beat up.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Beat up?
Speaker 1 (43:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
By who? Her husband.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
Her husband.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
Then he'll lose his demotion. Or his promotion. Whatever that
is called.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Okay, so six and a half on the ridiculous scale.
Speaker 5 (43:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
Okay, and so.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
I guarantee you she has a friend in all of
her friends that can do her makeup.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Dude, you gotta stop saying stuff like I guarantee you.
I guarantee you.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
You don't know that. No, I guarantee you she has
a friend that can do makeup.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
But you can't guarantee.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Every woman has a friend that can do their makeup.
Speaker 5 (43:33):
Every woman.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
Every woman. She can go to the cosmopolities.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
What?
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Cosmetology. There we go. The school. And they'll do it
for free. Those are people learning. They have to do
enough hours.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
That might not help her confidence, just in case.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
And guess what? Here's the cool part. It was free,
so wash it off and try again. Okay. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
Okay, so anyway, that's giving Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Up to an eight.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
So now it's even more ridiculous. You've talked yourself into
cosmetology school?
Speaker 4 (44:01):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Yeah, okay. All right, well, that's giving Tuesday for today.
Have fun at the ball. They should have fun at
the ball.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
And every time her dude is staring at her face,
she's going to be like, oh, Bobby did this. And
he's going to think about Bobby instead of her.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
What?
Speaker 1 (44:18):
She doesn't even have to tell him.
Speaker 3 (44:18):
No, he's going to be like, where'd you get your
makeup done? Oh, I went to this place.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
What?
Speaker 3 (44:24):
And, oh, did you save up for that? No, I
asked Bobby. And then the dude's going to be like, really?
Bobby has to pay for my wife to look nice?
Speaker 1 (44:32):
This thing has really spiraled. Okay, that's a Giving Tuesday
for today. Okay, so what we're going to do is
basically take a 15-minute break or so. Do you know
where I'm going with this? No.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
I do.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
You do?
Speaker 4 (44:50):
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess, is Eddie going to
go read?
Speaker 5 (44:52):
I'm going to get my reading glasses.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
Yeah, okay, got it.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
So, Eddie, you'll go to my office.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
Yeah, and I'm going to read.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
You're going to read.
Speaker 5 (44:59):
I have my book.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
For 15 minutes.
Speaker 4 (45:02):
I mean.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Dude, it's not miserable.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Yeah, what a gift.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Why are you treating it?
Speaker 5 (45:05):
No, because it's hard for me, guys. Like, reading is
hard for me.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
Okay, a lot of things are hard for a lot
of people, and if you keep saying that, it's going
to remain hard.
Speaker 4 (45:11):
Thank you, Bobby. Like, the more you keep saying that.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
Eddie can't yell correct. I said that, and thank you
for backing me up. Eddie goes, yep, correct. He fought me,
and then he said I was right.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Yeah, no, I was about to say exactly what Bobby said.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
It's just hard, guys. Like, y'all don't understand the energy
it takes for me to read.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
That's anybody. It takes energy.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
It does?
Speaker 1 (45:32):
And I think a lot of people have to give
different energy for a lot of things, even running, working out.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
Like, I hate running. For me, I would complain about that,
and then I'd go, man, but Lunchbox, he's good at it.
But you know what? If I really wanted to do
it and get better at it, I would go, yep,
it's hard, but I'm going to do it.
Speaker 5 (45:49):
But when you're putting your running shoes on, you're like, ugh.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
I got to go read.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
Yeah, but then I still do it.
Speaker 5 (45:53):
That's what I'm doing.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
But you're at work and you're getting 15 minutes to
go read.
Speaker 5 (45:56):
That's true.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
Right.
Speaker 5 (45:58):
For my intelligence.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (45:59):
For my education.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
So the book is?
Speaker 5 (46:02):
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
And I picked him because I thought you would really
relate to where he comes from.
Speaker 5 (46:10):
I'm interested.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
I have no idea. I just.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
You're just saying.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
I have a question.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
No, you picked it because it's a short book.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
But if I say, Eddie, his name is Ruiz, you
guys would relate. It may give him a reason.
Speaker 5 (46:18):
Oh, for sure. Now I'm in.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Now you're in.
Speaker 5 (46:19):
Like, I want to hear what Mr.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Ruiz.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
And it's full of wisdom.
Speaker 4 (46:21):
Like, so many people have that as, like, top three
book of their life. I know.
Speaker 5 (46:25):
My wife even said, like, ooh, that's a good book.
You're going to like that. What does toleko mean?
Speaker 1 (46:31):
I would imagine either you're not saying it right or
I don't know what it is or maybe both.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Maybe you're reading it backwards.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
Oh, no, no.
Speaker 5 (46:36):
I'm reading it wrong.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
Toltec.
Speaker 5 (46:38):
It says, the four agreements... A Toltec wisdom book.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
It's probably either a region or a part of philosophy.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
Spiritual teachings and philosophies of the ancient Toltec civilization in Mexico.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (46:55):
Did you know this was Mexican?
Speaker 4 (46:57):
Well, he just said.
Speaker 5 (46:58):
No, he's a Latino.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
I knew it was written by someone of Latin, but no, no, no.
Speaker 5 (47:03):
Dang, dude, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
No, I don't.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
These are from your people, Eddie.
Speaker 5 (47:07):
Yeah, I'm interested now.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
I love it. So go, take 15 minutes. Okay.
Speaker 5 (47:12):
How far do you think I'm going to get?
Speaker 1 (47:14):
It doesn't matter. Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Four pages.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Don't do that.
Speaker 5 (47:17):
Do I have to read the introduction? Or can I
go straight to chapter one?
Speaker 1 (47:20):
No, read the introduction. Don't make this harder than it is.
You have to get through nothing.
Speaker 3 (47:25):
I know.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
So, no, leave here.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Introduction, the smoky mirror. Okay.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Okay, give us a little bit.
Speaker 5 (47:31):
All right. 3,000 years ago. There was a human just
like you and me who lived near a city surrounded
by mountains.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
We're not four. You have to show us the page
and talk to us like a kid.
Speaker 5 (47:40):
I show you guys a little bit. The human was
studying to become a medicine man to learn the knowledge
of his ancestors, but he didn't completely agree with everything
he was learning. In his heart, he felt there must
be something more.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
You're a good reader. You're a good, hey, you're a
pretty good outward reader.
Speaker 5 (47:57):
You know what's gotten me, gotten better? It's gotten me better.
Gotten me better at that?
Speaker 3 (48:01):
Huh.
Speaker 5 (48:01):
Is reading for that podcast, that podcast drama.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Just act like that's a podcast. Heck, read it out
loud if it helps you.
Speaker 5 (48:08):
That might help me.
Speaker 1 (48:09):
Okay, go to my office.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
And I'll put you on the top. For those that
are listening to this, you're not going to hear the
break because we're going to just go off.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
No, we don't need cameras.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Because I'm just going to shut everything down to let
you read.
Speaker 5 (48:18):
All right.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Sounds good.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
All right.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
No, go.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
I'm going.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
Well, you got to put your headphones down.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
You think we're kidding. And turn the light on and
no phone. Leave your phone.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
He left it.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
Okay. I left my phone.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
We're good. And said, we'll come get you. You read
till we come get you.
Speaker 5 (48:36):
15 minutes.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
You read till we come get you.
Speaker 5 (48:38):
Don't wait 30 minutes or an hour.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
Oh, my God. It's going to feel like 30 minutes
to him, though. Okay, so we're going to start our
experiment until Eddie reads the book.
Speaker 4 (48:47):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:48):
All right, that's it. Did Lunchbox buy more salsa from
you recently?
Speaker 5 (48:54):
He did.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
How many jars?
Speaker 4 (48:56):
Two.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
He'd like to review them.
Speaker 5 (48:59):
Oh, my gosh. See, this is why when he asked,
he texted me and said, hey, can I order two
jars of salsa? I thought about not doing it because
I don't want him to get on here and just
trash it because Lunchbox is going to trash it.
Speaker 3 (49:12):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (49:12):
If he doesn't like it, great. He doesn't like it.
But I feel like he's doing this for show.
Speaker 1 (49:15):
So his thing is the trash thing.
Speaker 3 (49:17):
Yes. No, it's not. It's about consistency. I told you.
when I reviewed the first three, the first jar was amazing.
The second jar was so freaking hot I couldn't eat it.
The third jar tasted like nothing but tomatoes. So you
said you'd got your consistency a little bit better. So
I was like, let me taste it. What if I
get two jars from the same batch? Do those even
(49:37):
taste the same?
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Okay, now time for Lunchbox's Salsa Review.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
The first jar. I pop it open. Fantastic! Back to
the original. It's so freaking good. And I am like, wow,
this is really good. Eddie was right. He has figured
it out. Salsa is amazing. Jar number two. I pop
(50:01):
it open.
Speaker 5 (50:02):
It's too hot.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
And I eat it. Oh, my God, my mouth is
on fire. And I told you. No, this is what happened. Afterwards,
he tells me. He goes, oh, if it has an
H on it, it means hot. He didn't communicate that.
He just told me, hey, the jars are in the fridge.
Grab them out of the break room. So I did.
He didn't mention that, hey, I made two different kinds.
So I was like, all right, cool.
Speaker 4 (50:23):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
No.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
On fire.
Speaker 5 (50:25):
It's not what happened. I said, don't leave without getting
your salsa. He said, don't worry, already got them. No,
because I knew there were two different kinds.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
Never said anything about it.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
But if they're two different kinds, then it wasn't inconsistent.
You just had two different kinds.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
No, but he needs to communicate to his customers. He
told me just grab it out of the fridge. That's
all he said.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
I never said grab it out of the fridge. I'll
show you my text.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
I said, don't leave without your salsa.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Oh, you two should just kiss.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
No, I'll punch him first.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
On salsa jars at the store, they have like a
hot meter- And Eddie needs to start adding that to
his jars.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
He put an H, he said.
Speaker 5 (51:04):
I put an H?
Speaker 3 (51:04):
He signs his name. I had no idea.
Speaker 5 (51:07):
Amy, Amy, you guys are missing the point. I hadn't
given him his salsa yet. I said, don't leave without
getting your salsa, which means I'm going to give you
your salsa at some point today.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
So when he said, don't worry, I already got it,
can't you say no, no, no?
Speaker 5 (51:21):
I did. That's what I said. I said, no, you
took a hot one.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
No, you didn't call me until later that afternoon after
I'd already tried it.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
What's your review?
Speaker 3 (51:30):
Way too hot. You've got to communicate with your listeners
or your customers, whatever you want to call them. Because
I went in there, I could have been allergic to spice.
I could have been to the hospital like Amy Spice.
It was so freaking hot. So the first jar, amazing.
Second jar, bad communication by the seller.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
Then what did the B mean on mine?
Speaker 5 (51:52):
Bobby.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Oh, I didn't mean like little B.
Speaker 4 (51:54):
No.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
See, that's what I'm saying. Like you have all these
letters and you don't know.
Speaker 1 (51:58):
Because I don't like he's.
Speaker 5 (51:59):
I'm a little B. No, yours is just B for Bobby.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
So then he needs to order two more of the
same and review this.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
No, no, no.
Speaker 5 (52:04):
I already gave him one that's normal. I gave you
a normal one.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Yeah, review that one.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
That one was fantastic.
Speaker 1 (52:10):
Okay, so Eddie Saul says officially fantastic.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
That one.
Speaker 5 (52:13):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
The second one, oh my gosh. It'll light your mouth
on fire.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
I didn't know that you were doing different kinds.
Speaker 5 (52:18):
It was special request. If somebody says, hey, I'd like
mine really hot.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
I didn't want hot.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
You got it.
Speaker 1 (52:23):
But did he tell you to grab yours? Yeah.
Speaker 5 (52:24):
No, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
That's it for today.
Speaker 5 (52:27):
Thank you. I'm not making out with him.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
Why did you bring that back up? We had already
moved on.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
Did you want me to revisit it in my head?
Speaker 3 (52:32):
All of a sudden you're like, oh, can we spin
the wheel?
Speaker 4 (52:34):
No, Eddie.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
The Bobby Bones Show.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
Bobby Bones.
