Clancy trial, which is very sad. So for those that don't,
I give a bad explanation and you can fix my explanation.
So she killed her kids, but she went to the
doctor over and over saying, Hey, I am suffering like psychosis,

like I need help because I'm having all these thoughts,
very dangerous thoughts. Please help me. There are multiple instances
of her going to places for medical care for medical
help and them either ignoring her or doing the wrong
things to her, or giving her medicine that didn't didn't
go well together. And then she killed her kids. So
she's on trial for that. And so how old were kids?

There was three young children? I don't know, they are
exact ages.

Yeah, So she strangled them, yes.

And then tried to take her own life, which has
left her paralyzed.

So she jumped out the window. Her husband finds her
like in the snow, out the window. And the question
to me at first was Eddie, do you know the story?

Okay, I mean I heard you guys talk about it

But the question to me at first was man if
everybody ignored her cry for help or plea for help.
If all the doctors ignored or gave her wrong, how
much liability is there on a person, just generally speaking,
if you go for help and they say we can't
give it to you or we give it to you wrong,
Like what is that liability? But now all of a

sudden they start to go, did the dad do it well?
Because there was no DNA on the bands at all
from her Yes, and he's the one that discovered her
in the snow and she doesn't remember anything.

Is that conspiracy or is it stronger than conspiracy? I'm

I'm new to the watching. I just went on court
TV because my friend had been watching it, so I
pulled it up and then I got sucked in because yeah,
this week is the doctors and the psychiatrist's therapist are
on trial. So again it's in its third week, so
this is what's happening this week. And like nurses that

treated her, So it's not anything I've seen in the courtroom,
it's what I'm seeing online from people that have been
following it closely for a long time that are then
saying like, all these things don't add up with the husband,
and my friend, by the way, yes, and by the way,
my friend who's very she's like, I will never say this.

Publicly, but you'll say it for her publicly.

Sure, And because I'm not saying who she is, if
she says it publicly, then she's saying yeah, she's like,
I think he did it. And I'm like, what because
so far I had just seen people online that I
don't even know who these people are, and they seem
like they could be grasping it's But then I did
see one one woman popped up in my account last
night that she's like, I get it. I totally get

where people are coming from. Thingies, the husband, she goes,
But I'm following it so closely, and I still think.

That she did it, but she doesn't remember it.

Yeah, you can.

You can admit something and not remember it. But fingerprint evidence,
the Fitz attorneys highlighted during the trial that investigators did
not recover usable fingerprints belonging to Lindsay from the exercise
bands or the knife. There's another DNA evidence point, though,
where crime lab analysts tested the DNA profile and it

was identified on the exercise bands, but that also could
have been from being used as an exercise band.

Yeah, like days prior.

You know what throws a wrench into it, especially with
my lack of knowledge of it. I've known about it
for a while and I've been just seeing clips of
it and my wife has told me about it is
that when the husband's having an affair and then something happens,
it doesn't matter the situation. I'm like, oh, yeah, the
husband did it for sure.

And then aren't like what are the odds you're having

Situation having an affair, it's like they don't they're not
happy with their marriage because they're in the affair right,
so they're like, how can I be with this woman
without having to divorce my wife? And sometimes in their
irrational mind they're like kill my wife.

Well, yeah, that happens for sure. I think in this
case there are way more layers to it, and with
Scott Peterson. Now it's like, wait a second, is he innocent?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
And did we just really think he was for sure guilty?
One because they're only three channels, and then two because
he was having an affairs.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Having an affair and with this guy. He moved that,
this particular husband, he moved on, he had the affair. Yes,
But then when she was committed hospitalized because I think
she she went before jail like she's a psychiatric hospital,
he was already moving on with this other person and
he has since married her and had a child with her.

And then I'm like, imagine if you're that person and
now you've got the world thinking that your husband is
now a part of it, and they're all thinking you're
acting weird on trial and you're creepy.

Yeah, whenever we find out the dude had an affair,
we go, if he can do that, but there's other
activity that he can do, and I don't know that
he did it or didn't do it. I just start
to hear more people talk about that, and I've just
heard the band's thing talked about a lot that there
were no fingerprints and if she were. But then really,
for me, the internal struggle is if you go and

ask for help so many times to people that are
obligated to help you, and you can't get help either
because they ignored it or couldn't. I just feel like
we're like, I don't know, what's the penalty if you

tried so hard for not to happen and it still
happened because she would talk about these intrusive thoughts about
killing her kids and she needed help. So that is
a limited understanding of the trial through hearing it from
my wife, watching clips of it, and then reading a
little bit about the DNA stuff. But on the day
of the killings, Lindsey Clancy said she heard voices say,

this is your last chance. Killed the children so you
can kill yourself. If convicted a murder, she faces life
in prison. Her husband is testifying for her. I did
watch him. He's like, she's a great mom. She's singing
to him.

Yeah, but wouldn't you say that?

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, I'm just saying I watched him say that. But
wouldn't you say that. You're saying, wouldn't you say that
if you did it? I'm just saying, regardless, let's say,
before I even knew that he was in play by
the conspiracy theorists of the internet. I just thought if
I were the husband and my wife killed our kids.
And it's very complicated because she said, I have these thoughts,
I need help, and they couldn't help her, and they
didn't help her, and the medicines didn't match that they

gave her and actually made it worse. Yet you're there
advocating for her, and she was the one that killed
your kids. It is so many layers and so complicated.

Is she the one that said that she had the thoughts?

Yes, even after the fact, she's saying I had all
these thoughts.

So well, who's who's got the evidence of her saying
I had these thoughts?

Doctors, they're on trial right now, okay, and they're having
to go through.

So she told the doctors that she's having these thoughts,
and the doctors are testifying. We heard her say that.

I mean, I mean, then the husband's like, why we
prescribed her this because of these anxious thoughts?

I have a question where have you guys got that
he had affair. I've never seen there's no evidence whatsoever,
like in the trial, nothing that he had an affair.

Well, they're not going to have that evidence and he's
not up on trial.

third day five of testimony in the second week of
the trial, it was revealed that Lindsay Clancy sought to
change her health care proxy from her then husband Patrick
to her parents. She wanted to change it because it doesn't.

That but also, okay, hold on, that is very circumstantial
of that, Why would you change it from your husband
to your parents? And again it's straight circumstantial there.

But yeah, well he got remarried pretty quickly, and allegedly
to the woman he was having an.

Affair with more circumstantial evidence, not not real evidence, but
not really.

He met her when he moved to New York, like

It sounds like the husband is just pure theory theory

had been having this these thoughts, right, and she said, hey,

she had been having these thoughts, he was like, you
know what, I can drive to the restaurant, get the
food and come back leave them. Yeah. And I was like,

it seems crazy to me that you would risk that,
you would risk that, Like, if she's having these thoughts,
I feel like she should never be left alone with
the kids ever. Ever, that's what I thought when it
first happened. That was years ago, and then I kind
of forgot about, you know, the story. And then now
that the trial is going on, I've kind of dialed
in a little bit, but I haven't been all in
just because I'm like, it's so terribly sad.

It's so terribly sad. That's why I think, like just
watching the nurses and the psychiatrists testify yesterday it wasn't.
It was more clinical, like it didn't seem you know,
if I had watched Week one and two, probably been.

But just her sitting in the wheelchair, like just sitting there.

Like terribly sad.

I can't have been down.

Oh yeah, did have you seen the questioning of the.

looks down. And I didn't know if it's because she's

be thinking rationally about the proper way to cut.

and confused because again this was an episode.

And then I don't know if she's medicated now, so

this is a totally different type case. But the love
trapped one that's going on right now with the bachelor
dude and the woman that said I'm pregnant with your baby,
and she had done it to more people. It was
the people on Reddit that really started to put things together,
even for the lawyers, like they were going to these

people for their intel. And so it's like, you can't
discredit people online that are.

I know, but a lot of people are saying a
lot of things.

I totally agree with that, but it is kind of
wild how people that this is their hobby or they
get really into something and you hear them interviewed on
these podcasts, they're like, well, I had some free time,
so I just started doing some research and digging, and
then I decided to post about it. And they're one
post that caused someone else to add their thoughts then

help put a bow on something that otherwise maybe wouldn't
have gotten solved or taken way longer to solve.

Yeah, it's sort of like the Idaho murders. When they
were still not announcing that they had a suspect, people
started doing on loan sleuthing and there was someone on
TikTok that said, I saw that. Look, here's all the evidence.
It's a professor at the University of Idaho put their
name out there. They were just ordered to pay ten
million dollars. They're wrong because they were wrong.

And there was a guy too, outside of a food
truck who looked suspicious. People were like, that's him, that's it, dude.

Okay, well following the people are wrong, I'm just saying
sometimes they're right, and we are all just allegedly even

And how long it was this tragic twenty twenty three.

Yeah, the time five or six pm, Lindsay takes Patrick,
asking him to go to CBS to pick up takeout
from a restaurant. Five point fifteen. Patrick kisses the children goodbye,
says I'll be right back. Five point thirty two. Surveillance
cameras capture Patrick inside the CBS. He calls Lindsay to
clarify the medication order. Five point thirty four. Lindsay returns
his call. They have a normal, fourteen second conversation about

the medicine. Patrick later testifies she sounded entirely stable, and
text record show she was smiling earlier in the day.
Five fifty four Surveillance footage captures Patrick picking up the
food man. That's a long time to be gone.

But he just picked yeah, medicine and food. That's when
he was going, like, I think twenty five minutes is
what it was, or thirty five, and I just like,
oh my gosh.

Six o nine. He gets back home, finding the house
unusually quiet six'. Ten he goes upstairs in the, bedroom
finds the door. Locked after forcing his way, inside he
discovers the blood on the FLOOR i won't continue to.
Go but it's six on nine when he got. Home
will you go back to the top of the. Timeline
at five oh, six she texts him saying get. Food
where was he?

When, yeah it looks sounds like it wasn't there or he.

WAS i don't know which.

WORK i had to figure out which one's the one

phones it shows a general.

that your phone is connecting.

online speculation and friends social media theories have questioned various
digital timeline markers from the day of the, tragedy but
authorities and prosecutors are firmly established That patrick's movements tracked
to be a surveillance, video pharmacy, records and actual phone

logs corroborate his alibi and. Innocence, okay Well i'm a.
