Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get Your Bones the Bobby Bone Show. So I thought
that's gonna be pretty low key week. But now it
turns out Morgan's leaving and Ray's going to play mini
basketball on ESPN. So what a week we have here?
I was just gonna be chilly. How did you feel
about today? It feels crazy, Honestly, I just don't.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I have so many emotions excited, nervous, scared, sad, happy, I.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Mean I'm feeling all of them at every moment right now.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Are you getting a lot of messages from people? Yeah,
a lot. A lot of people are sad, a lot
of people.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Are excited for me.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Of course, there's still many ones in there, which justifies. Oh,
there was one that was like, how ignorant that somebody?
Uh you think that that's like not a dream job
or something. And I was just like, my guy, bean
soup theory, it wasn't meant for you, It was meant
for me.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
That's my my thing.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
What was being?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Bean soup theory means that you're basically inserting your own
thoughts into somebody else's story because you want it to
relate to you.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Okay, got it?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
And how is that bean soup?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
He was clearly very internalizing that experience of me saying that,
because you know, I get it. This is a dream
job and it was, and I have to honor what
my role looks like next and what that looks like
for me. And I hope whoever sees this as a
dream job comes and gets it. I hope they chase
after it. That's that's what it's all about. That's what

(01:28):
everybody should be doing.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Are you having to handle social media now?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Oh god, let me tell you something. At this point,
Oh god, I'm asking Morgan a million questions and my
head is about to explode, Like I don't, dude, I
don't know, Like do you want me to, dude, I'll
start posting selfies, you.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Know, I don't think that's it, Like I'll give all
Eddie selfies across the board. So, because we don't have a.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Plan right right, and once you're leaving.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
Her last day's we have a contractor helping out starting Monday,
a contract that a contracted person to help us out
with social until we figure out what we're gonna do
long term.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I was hoping it was like a real contract to
come to build us.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
We're gonna build us, our Instagram.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Cool built, Yeah, it shows it.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
Now the work remote for a couple hours a week
to help us out.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Okay, a couple hours a week, like remotely from where
from nothing, New York.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
But a couple hours a week, well, I think twenty
I a part time person twenty hours, but their sole
focus will be that. And I'm also looking for somebody
that's gonna help edit videos for Eddy as well.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Are you okay?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I saw you throw something this morning?

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Oh dude, it's been a freaking week. And then I
forgot my backpack today, which has my laptop, my lunch,
my water, and my phone charger, and so now I'm
like behind on everything. So it's just like, oh my god,
have you.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Ever forgotten your backpack? Yeah, Like that's a nightmare of mine.
Or like I hit the road and I'm like all
my way to work and I look in the back
sea and like make sure I have it because it
may not be there.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
You know, I was five minutes away. I'm like, well,
I can't really turn around now, so I just got
to suck it up.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
That's sucks generally, Like what's the deal.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
Oh, I'm also depressed and my family's been gone for
like five six.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yes, that's why that was finally hitting. It's hitting you.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
I'm sober to the point how I'm start to get angry.
I'm so I'm over.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I saw you throw something as soon as you got here.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
Yeah, because I was like, I was like, mam, I backpack.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Oh that's why you threw something.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Yeah, And I was like, that's just another frickin thing.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
We had a fire alarm go off a minute ago,
and so it starts blinking and then that voice comes
over to the speaker and goes danger, danger whatever it
says like fire, and we're in this massive building and
it's just cried wolf a lot of times where there's
been no fire, and we did it. Tell me something
good that the half hour version, we had to stop
the end of that recording because the fire alarm was
going off. You can hear it if you go listen

(03:41):
to it. And I mean, this has happened many times
where it's nothing. So we're just kind of moseying about
and I can't tell anybody to not run for safety. Now.
I walked outside for a minute and I'm gonna go
back to work, And so I'm in here recording stuff
and Amy walks by now you I'm not telling you
to work. You have to go save yourself. We know

(04:02):
it's not a fire, but just in case it is,
I can't be the one going, all right, guess we
have to work, you know, fight to fight the temptation
to run from fire. And scoobas running around going this
is not a drill, This is not a drill.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
He's like, I smell smoke. Yes, I smell smoke, smell anything.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Well, this time, there's a bunch of people downstairs. Normally
there's nobody downstairs. There's a bunch of people. I heard
sirens in the background. I'm like, oh, this is probably
a real one. This is the one where if we
stay and we're gonna die.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, but you were saying that out loud, and I
didn't hear you yell I smell smoke. It turns out
there was no smoke.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
That was a broken sensor.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
It's a sensor.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
But then I feel like, you know, your your your
you know, you paint pictures in your heads and it
becomes the reality. But it's not a reality.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah, he told me. He's like, do you smell it?
And I took a big whiff and I smell like
cocing up perfume, like, well.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Abby too.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
I was like I smell smoke, and I was like,
maybe I smell smoke too, And then I don't know,
just was here we are.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
So you're having rough to go over the t Oh
my god?

Speaker 6 (04:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
When do they come back?

Speaker 6 (04:58):
They come back next. I I pick them up next Friday.
I fly out here after the show this Friday. Not
this Friday. Next week. Friday, I pick them up. Well,
I fly there to go. I basically fly there Friday
evening and then we fly back together Saturday as a family.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Are you looking forward to that?

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Oh my god? Yeah, because every time I call, my
kids are crying like we missed no. And they're fine
because they're with family and they're hanging out, they're doing
all kinds of fun stuff. But for me, the only
time I talk to them, they're sad, and so I'm
just like, oh my god, this sucks.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Scoop. But they do this every year, every year, but.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
This one's the longest, and usually it's just three weeks.
But my wife now works from home, and it's you know,
school is out, so there's no one to watch the kids.
So she's like, I can't work from home full time
and watch the kids. So I'll just extend my trip
in San Francisco because she has help there, because we
have no help here with the kids when they're out
of school. So it's kind of like, oh.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
You went back to at one point?

Speaker 6 (05:48):
Did I did? Because I well, because originally we bought
plane tickets for me to go back to pick them
up the weekend the fourth of July, and that's when
she hit me up a week in advance and was like, hey,
I think I'm considering staying. I'm like, I have to
swallow my pride, like I understand it makes sense, please
stay longer. But then I went out there anyways for
that time to see them and then like reset myself
and then come back and get depressed again. So yeah,

(06:11):
it's been awful because usually she's like my support, SYSTM stuff,
I need something, you know, I talk to her, she'll
give me a hug or something, and I haven't had
that for six weeks. It's been kind of rough. So
I feel for military families. I don't know how they
do that kind of stuff where they're going for months
on end. That must be rough.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Glad this is what it is, and it's not something
far more serious.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
No, it's pretty serious to me though, like I not
be with my family and.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Not vitimizing it at all. I'm saying you have been
acting at a heightened state, and then when I saw
you throw something this morning, I thought maybe something is
really going wrong. Because this happens every year where they
go away.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
Yeah, it's usually fine. The first week is like wooh,
second week is like, a third week is like, man,
I can't wait to go pick them up. But with
this extension, it's like it's like, oh my gosh. Now
I'm I'm just like in a dark place. It sucks. Sorry, man. Yeah,
and she's supposed to be home like I stay at
home mom, and none of that worked out. So just
and then all of its spirals and I think about
all these things and just like oh my god.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
So it's more than them just being gone.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Oh yeah, if you want to keep peeling the layers,
you'll find all kinds of things out. But that but
then being gone sucks the most because they don't have
that support system in that release and someone to be
here to like, you know, be there for me.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
And you didn't want to go with Ray this weekend.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
But yeah, well one, financially, it doesn't make sense. The
plane tickets are over fifteen hundred dollars to get there,
and so just thinking about fiscally and the budget of
the show and everything, that's just a lot of money
to send a second person.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
The budget of the show. The show has paid for anything?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Well, I mean like, well your budget, Yeah, I personally
paid for saying oh yeah what I'm saying. So it's
expensive and so I'm thinking responsibly. The convertible, like who
paid for that? Yeah, I was on my Costco credit card.
It was one hundred and fifty bucks nothing, okay.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Danging, okay, okay. Costco.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
Yeah, Costco does an amazing trout. If you have Costco
uh yeah, if you use costco travel dot com, you
could both cruises, airplane, airlines. But I use it for
rental car because they always have the best deal, Like
it's like hella cheap ray.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
How are you feeling good? Still a lot of training
to go. We're running and we're playing at least two
hours every day, just kind of perfecting my shot, seeing
the things I can develop during practice that I can
actually use during the tournament, which is the endurance, which
is when your shoulders burn, how can you get that
mph out of them? Stuff like that that other guys

(08:40):
aren't doing. How long is a game? Fifty five seconds?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Oh cit endurance?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, so it's non stopping. I mean, if you think
about it, in that amount of time, you're getting up
seventy shots.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
He was sweating his face off when we were there
last weekend. It's a lot because you're having to move
that ball over and over and over and over.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Doing multiple rounds. This is not you're in multiple, this
is one and if you're done, yeah right yeah. But
also last weekend, did I get the high score? Yes,
but I was also training for this weekend because I
don't have that machine. So I thought it was gonna
be very good for me to understand the balance, how
the ball comes to, which side would be better left
or right, How I can make my hands quicker. And
I think, out of all the guys, just because I'm
a baseball player, I have a quick twitch and I

(09:18):
run a national radio board unlike any guy out there,
so good. They can be good shooters, you can be
Steph Curry, but it's all about the quick twitch, and
there's I don't believe in all the video I've watched
on YouTube, there's one guy in this thing that has
quick twitch like me. Good point, man, So you feel
like you're the favorite. Oh no, no, I'm the biggest underdog.
But once I put up my first score there, I

(09:39):
think it'll start to spread. And that two hour span. Hey,
watch out for the Sissa y Munda dude from Nashville.
Watch out. Hey have you seen that season?

Speaker 8 (09:45):
Dude?

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Have you seen him? So you're the underdog because nobody
knows you. Nobody has any idea who I am. It's
just some random virtual qualifyer in Vegas? Who is this
Sissa ray Munda that put up one sixty eight? There's
no video footage of me. Maybe they see the YouTube
and they're like, oh, anybody can fake for ten seconds.
So yeah, there's It's not like there's any game tape
on me.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Can Was there a bracket?

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
You have your schedule yet they're not going to post
it until day of So what are you looking at?

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Can we bet on him?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
It's not available. I don't think so, because I mean
I would put.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
A dollar on it for sure, A dollar. Yeah, if
he's a heavy heavy underdog. A dollar could be like
one hundred bucks.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, just because all the guys that have done it
the years past, they're all going and they have all that,
you know, they all pump their scores. Oh hey, how's
it going. I'm Shitski, I put up one hundred and fifty.
And there's some other there's Papa shot or a noo,
there's Papa he spells it. He's Huntington Beach. He's like
one thirty five. But I mean, all these guys go
around to these things. Yeah, how's it going. I'm the

(10:45):
guy that got one sixty. Yeah, I'm pasch Cow. I
don't care about Paschcal. I'm sissing a mundo. But I'm
not going to talk to any of them. Bringing headphones
good dude. Yeah, they said there's no dress code. Cool
putting on headphones, not talking to a person. And I'll
see at the end of the tournament.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Don't wear a shirt ray that press code.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
That would be hilarious.

Speaker 8 (11:06):
May do that.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I gotta win at first. I can't lose the first
one shirtless. But also, I mean, I mean I've explained
to my wife like this, like you guys want an analogy. Yeah,
I would love it because she was wondering, you know,
are you gonna brunch out there? You're gonna have some emosis.
And I told her this is the same thing I
told her. I said, a shark. They have said when

(11:28):
a shark, a shark has black eyes, but right before
a shark kills it, it's eyes turned white. And I said,
when I'm in Vegas, my eyes are white. I'm not
there to party. I don't even care about the hotel.
I'm standing, I'm training, I'm winning, I'm leaving. I don't
want to learn any of their names. Most of them
will say, didn't even talk to him. Who was he?
I will talk to the Papa shot people, But those

(11:50):
guys that walk around, how's it going, mister one five? Yeah,
yea yeah, they call me Lionelli. I will not meet
any of them. Business trip business, and my eyes will
be white. They're black. This week on Saturday, blood in
the water and I'll be watching. And I hope they
show his game. I hope they show every game and

(12:10):
only fifty five seconds, like run them run one run
the next.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
This is gonna be cool.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Yeah, I hope you get on TV because I mean
they're doing it on ESPN Plus, so.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
He will be within the company of Papa Shot. He's
a favorite. They love this whole ray plane and everything.

Speaker 8 (12:27):
So you think they're gonna give an easier draw.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
No, No, because he's he's a dude. He's a tough
he's a heavy competitor because he's getting one sixty eight
and he averages around one fifty. And most of these
guys get one thirty, one forty. And when they get
there in front of the pressure in the audience, in
the stands, they choke every time.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Gotcha, because there's this what it's there's the one guy.
I don't turn white guys.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
I know you're right, that's a good point.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
This one kid, he's like twenty one, This young buck,
he's called Onions is his screen name. I believe they'll
be showing on TV the screen names. You're maybe not
even gonna get birth names, but Onions. He's ambidextrous. This
Onions dude shoots with both hands, tapes his thumbs. I mean,
dude's an animal. And then he got in the tournament
and he put up like one thirty. He was putting
up one sixties and then he just choked. He choked.

(13:09):
So they they're and I told the lady, I was like,
I mean we were, We're live every day. I don't
care that we're on ESPN Plus.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
So oh, the scores are.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Going to continue to be high. It's not that you
don't put up a dud. Onions hit one sixty one
in Chicago. Yeah yeah, I mean the guy was so
annoying walking around. I mean, rais creating feuds here within
the Papa Shot community. Well, no, Scuba and me, if
I wish school would have made it because he was
gonna make his name Onion rings making fun of the
guy because he was so annoyed in the tournament, in

(13:41):
the Vegas tournament. Yeah oh yeah, yeah, he because he was.
He made the If you made that region, if you
were top twelve, you made the Papa Palooza.

Speaker 6 (13:49):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay, well written for you anyway, Thank you, Scuba's dad.
Morgan's leaving raised fighting with Onions. I don't even know
what's happening while going on and again, thanks for the
true up. Yeah, so I very appreciate it as well.
Make me proud, make us proud, That's what I'm talking about.
That's what he's talking about. I want to see Susan
Ramondo flap that board man.

Speaker 9 (14:11):
These guys have Papa Shot jerseys. Do they give you
one when you get there.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
If they give me a jersey, I'm throwing it on
the ground. I'm not going to be some dork middle management.
That's Balding wearing a jersey. I'm wearing it. They said
was in a jersey and bald in these pictures?

Speaker 6 (14:27):
Yeah, do what the hell's wrong with them?

Speaker 1 (14:28):
But these guys have their names on the back of them.
Grant Hill, that's okay. Stop, this is a fun community.
Then you give me a jersey with my name on it,
I'm throwing it on Vegas.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
I know.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
I'd love to have a frame it and put in
your house. Big you made it to the championship.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
Big Bad Brad was one of them.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Oh that's the NFL player. Hey, why don't you here
in town.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
They don't have a machine here, but we're working on that.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
There's not a single machine, a single one like a
regulation machine.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
Yeah, they're trying to get him here in Nashville, but
the bars haven't taken them yet.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Streaming Live seven on ESPN Plus. Just looking at the
image here, all right, Ray, good luck, buddy, Are you
amy your story.

Speaker 10 (15:07):
So have y'all heard about going to the library to
book flights?

Speaker 1 (15:11):
No, you get them cheap or something.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
That's what they say.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
Well, that's what they say, but we need to test
this out. It was they people Vegas or a nickel
he books at the on the internet.

Speaker 10 (15:22):
Well, so some people have seen people post about it,
and I've read articles, but again it's just people's experience.
Like I've never tested this out myself, but someone I
just saw a video last night and they're like, I
tested this out.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
I went to my local library, like the public library.

Speaker 10 (15:41):
Got on the computer there, booked my flight and their
flight was five hundred dollars cheaper than it was when
they were looking at it on their home computer or
on their own laptop.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Or is this people knowing they're going to get a
lot of clicks and likes because they just say.

Speaker 10 (15:55):
That I know I was looking for you to poke
holes in it, or if anybody else tried this, sir
had experience with it. But what it is is is
they're collecting data on us, all the data on us
all the time, and they know essentially what you can afford.
But if you're at a public library, they don't know
anything about you.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Imagine if you book from a homeless shelter, then oh wow,
how cheap that would be.

Speaker 7 (16:19):
Do they have computers?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Maybe just go to the place where they expect people
have the least amount of money. I bet you it's
pure fiction. If I'm betting, I bet this is a
complete lie. If somebody probably got lucky at one point
or made the story up. And then sometimes people just
jump in and say it's happened to them because they
know it'll get streams, views, flicks.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
Okay, well I do that, but I bet it's I
would prefer.

Speaker 10 (16:42):
Let's be honest and transparent and legit, like not not
for clicks, not for views, because you know, I guess
I'm gonna have to go to the local library and
check it out. My book of flight.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
So there was Mick Jagger was on the Conan O'Brien
pot and he was talking about I guess. Conan asked
him like, have you ever did you ever meet Elvis?
And Mick Jagger's talking about like, no, I never met Elvis,
which is crazy because he's one of my heroes. But
he said the reason he didn't meet Elvis was because
John Lennon told him, don't ever meet your heroes back

(17:17):
in sixty four when the Beatles came to America, Like,
that's all John Lennon want to do.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Meet Elvis? Meet Elvis?

Speaker 5 (17:23):
Where's Elvis at? They go to California and they finally
meet Elvis. He was like, it was terrible. Elvis didn't
talk to us. Really, it's not what I expected. So
he told Mick Jagger, don't ever meet Elvis, and Mick
Jagger's on the podcast being like, why did I listen
to John Lennon? Like now, I lived my whole life
and I could have met Elvis one hundred times and
I never did. So it reminded me of you how
you always say like, oh, it's tough, like like, don't

(17:45):
meet your heroes.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
I don't say that, Yeah, haven't you. No, I don't
say that. You're atually in social media world now people don't.
They're not jerks for the most part, they can't be.
You just don't meet them because they hide. But no,
I don't know. I don't say that most people are nice.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Part see part of me. I love Eddie Vedder, favorite dude, like.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
You might be disappointed that he's not so nice to you, yes,
but no one's going to be a jerk. I just
find people are generally pretty nice. But I feel like
celebrities are just like normal people. They might be having
a bad day.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
Yeah I know, And I think in our heads we
build them up to be something based on their art
or whatever they're known for, right, and so like, if
it's just not what I've been building up. Like Eddie Vedder,
i feel like I've known him since I was, you know,
fifteen years old.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
I won't say that to him, I know, but I'm
sure so many.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
People feel like that with actors, Like I feel like
I know him, you know, because I've watched every single movie.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
I think you can say that if you don't want
any sort of even friendly relationship with them. If you
want some sort of friendly relationship with them, and there's
the opportunity for that, the last thing you want to
say is I'm a super fan. Case in point Lunchbox
and Johnny Banas, Yeah, I mean he had a chance
to actually I won't say a friendship, but have some
sort of communication, but then he just freaked out so much.
Johnny Bananas was like, I don't why would I want

(18:57):
to be a fan or a friend with a super fan.
So there's that line. But no, everybody's the same, meaning
across the board. Some people are jerks, some people aren't.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
So you haven't met David Letterman.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
No, but it's not because I haven't. I've chosen not to.
So you you would, sure, but I would have no
expectation of it at all if it didn't go great.
I didn't go great, But no I haven't, but I
would go right I go right now.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
And then Sting, you haven't met Sting the wrestler, what I.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Would, but you would, But also all say he's not
my hero. Sting, he was my favorite wrestler back in
the day, but it's not my hero. But I never
met Gandhi.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Gone is gone? Is still with us?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
No, no Jesus. Also, before social media, I bet everybody
was just a jerk. Everybody famous there was really yeah
for the most part, because it would never got out. Now,
the risk is if you're a jerk to somebody, or
you don't tip somebody, or you.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
Because people can film everything and.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Like or just a stade.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
I was thinking, because they're just on it.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
You could just be awful. Back in the you could
be a serial killer at the same time and nobody
would even catch you. So I think those two go
hand in hand. Celebrities were more jerks and more serial
killers got away with stuff. But uh yeah, all right,
un trucks.

Speaker 9 (20:14):
Guys, What was one thing I hate? It's the self checkout.
I don't work at the grocery store, so you won't
catch me in the self checkout. Well, that could change.
In New York they are trying to introduce a bill
that if you have self checkouts, whoever uses that gets
a ten percent discount on what they're buying. So if
stores are going to implement self checkout to reduce costs

(20:37):
by not having workers there and your customers are using that,
you would be automatically deducted ten percent.

Speaker 8 (20:43):
From your bill.

Speaker 9 (20:44):
And the reasoning is they're saying, you are putting the
work onto the customers, like you are lowering your overhead
to get a bigger profit margin. If they're going to
be doing the work, they're gonna get ten percent off.
It's wherever they sell groceries. And it was introduced in
May and so now it has to go to a
vote in the whatever.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
However, you do a bill, No that I agree with
that oh, because a business has taken a risk by
having these self checkouts, meaning people can't work it and
it's slower, and if it's slower, you're not selling as much.
It's also technology you're investing in. Now, if I were
a business and I said we're going to do self checkouts,
the good is you possibly don't have to hire as

(21:23):
many workers. The bad is the equipment you got to
pay for When it doesn't work, you still have to
have some workers that stand back. They're one for probably
every three lanes, because when people inevitably can't figure out
how to ring up lettus.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
I always have to get help.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, or how slow it is, which slows down the
people going through, which creates less overall sales. So if
that's a risk a place wants to take, I don't
think they should be punished by it. I'm a capitalist
for sure, so that's that seems a bit odd to
me that it would be a law that we have

(21:56):
to charge ten percent less when you're investing time, energy, space, money.

Speaker 7 (22:02):
Do they know something we don't know of, like how
much the grocery store is actually saving not having the
employees After the technology is paid off.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Everybody knows everything. I don't know. I don't know anything,
but I just feel like we're penalizing businesses because they're
making strategic decisions. And self checkouts have not gone well
in a lot of places where they're taking them out.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
Yeah, like we miss people human interaction will.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Well, they just go slow. It's more so about business.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
I thought it was also that we wanted to see.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
I think that's a great thing to say, but I
think a lot of businesses are putting them back in
more humans because there have been issues with people not
understanding them.

Speaker 7 (22:36):
It's just stressed. Self checkout stresses me out.

Speaker 10 (22:38):
The only time I do it is if there's only
teenage boys working the checkouts and I'm buying tampons, I'm
like self checkout because I do not I am mortified
to go through a line them knowing all my feerios.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well, the one that works is there's one in the airport.
But there are also a few stores where you don't
even go through a checkout. You put all your stuff
in a basket and it knows what you have in
there and you walk right out.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
That's crazy.

Speaker 7 (23:00):
That's like at the airport.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yes, yeah, I said, oh, there's a store at the
airport and then they're yeah, okay, sorry hard and that's
how we use it. But in like Seattle, Amazon has
a massive store like that. I'm sure in other big
cities they have if you as well. And the Chicago
has one where you can put yourself in a basket
is walk out because it's tracking in your cards already
on file, so like that's the self checkout, that's legit.

Speaker 10 (23:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
The others I try to buy an avocado, I'm like,
where the heck is a sticker?

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I know? And then you're like punching the name. How
do you spell avocado? Avy?

Speaker 10 (23:29):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (23:29):
I never?

Speaker 3 (23:29):
I never.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
I just put my hand up. I never punch in
a name. I just go ah. Also, I don't when
do I do that?

Speaker 5 (23:35):
And while isn't it funny though that like like limes
have the same code universal code. It's like three zero
five five or something.

Speaker 9 (23:41):
Ye, banas are four zero one one they do.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Yeah, yeuniversal.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
If you buy enough of something, you kind of remember
the code and be like, oh yeah, four zero five five,
Oh how about that?

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Then you feel like a checker.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
That's cool.

Speaker 7 (23:54):
I had no idea. That's fine, this could maybe change
my experience.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
You remember the numbers.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I understand why that would be good for the consumer
to get a ten percent yes, but as someone that
would be running a small business, I wouldn't like the
government telling me I have to charge the less based
on what I'm investing in trying to improve inside of
my store.

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Yeah. I just think it's probably more for like the
big box places.

Speaker 9 (24:21):
Yeah, and it's so frustrating when you go to one
of those big box places and they have fifteen self
checkouts and they have one person working a regular register.

Speaker 8 (24:31):
It is like what, Oh, it's so annoying, so frustrating.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
What is a big box place?

Speaker 8 (24:36):
Change?

Speaker 6 (24:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Oh, like Cogar okay, Walmart.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, Target, Target. But you can't just go We're only
going to do the big boxes like that. It's got
to be across the board. If it's a bill law
type thing. Uh Morgan, all right.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
So there was this Texic, Texas woman in her apartment
and she has a poll because she's a poll dancer.
But she was dancing on it and it got loose
and hit her ceiling sprinkler and flooded her apartment.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Okay, hilarious, hilarious. Oh there's a video yea, so great. Yeah,
because those picture in my head was pretty funny. But
if I can watch it, let's go over here to
the screen. You guys, I mean you're listening. Go over
to our YouTube page and follow at Bobby Bone Show.
Who knows. It's gonna be all eddie selfie in a
few days, But for right now, you can still watch this.

Speaker 8 (25:26):
Look at the taking the class.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Okay, she's watching on TV. She does have a pole installed.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
Okay, here she goes.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Right, arm up, she's going around the pole. Oh, she's
not installed. It's not installed. It was just it was
just like it was just pushed up to the top
of the roof. And now here comes to sprinkler.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Oh my what that's terrible. Uhh, that'll ruin your day.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
To release that video herself, she had to make the decision,
I'm going to put this video.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Out, and I wonder how much time, and like she
she had to kind of like decide, you know what,
it's time to pick it.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
The camera or the phone up. Oh no, so that's yeah,
you got it. I can't believe she thought that that
would support And she's not a big woman. It doesn't matter.
I would say seventy eighty pounds or more. With just
that metal. It's not even it's like it's even suctioned.

(26:24):
It just like it's up against the ceiling.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
It's like the shower rods, you know, like whenever you
put the shower rods and you twist it and that
makes it push.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Yeah, like that, there's no way. Also, if that's my apartment,
I'm not pushing it against the ceiling. They're gonna get
my deposit back. There's gonna be a ring up on
the ceiling. Oh that is tragic.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
So she and her dog are okay, but the apartment
definitely got flooded.

Speaker 8 (26:46):
It's so funny.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Dang, you guys want to pull in your house now?

Speaker 5 (26:50):
No, I did, dude. One of my neighbors had a
poll in their house. Like we went over just like.

Speaker 7 (26:55):
Like the dance or like a fireman.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
I didn't ask. I didn't ask.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
It was like their game room and it was like
there's a poll on there.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
The kids, older kids. I would think though that most
people that do poll things are doing it for exercise
though not stripping.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Oh really yeah, Oh I thought like they had crazy
parties and they would just like strip maybe.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
In the eighties maybe, but I think now I'm so
normal or it's normalized a bit that there are so
many workouts that you can do and that's a version
of a workout.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Yeah, I just it's it's funny, like it was back
in Austin when we lived in Texas, but like we
would walk by the house and every time my wife
would be like, it's crazy they have a pull in there.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I did take one of those pole dancing classes one time,
just to see what it was about, and it was
so hard. It was so hard, a very humbling experience.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Scooby, you know what I'd like to do. I was
thinking about this yesterday and this pole dancing reminds me
of it. We should call one of these hot yoga
studios and see if we can get someone to just
have Eddie and I in there do a workout. We'll
pay them and let us record it. But do a
workout private, yeah, because we can't do it with people. Yeah,

(28:06):
in a normal class, because it's not gonna if I
were doing a class, I wouldn't want someone to come.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
In recording and signed stuff and all that.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Yeah, but we can do it, and I can have
brand income shoot it with good cameras and we can
do Eddie's never done hot yoga. I think that would
be funny.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
Yeah, I'll get a studio set up where we can
do it.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
We'll pay them for a private lesson we just have
to have and we could do it in my house
and like the gym there, but I don't have the
ability to make it hot enough.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
No, they make it hot something.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
You want the visual of the studio versus your house.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
I want to be in my house. Yeah, we have
a gym okay off FLEs but still separate building.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
I have a dumbbell set in my house. Small flex.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
I got to do.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
I'll get some set up for you.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Yeah, I think that would be That's the kind of
stuff I think about when I go home, And the
only person who has to suffer from that's Mic, me
just sending him stuff. Got this idea, Hey, what do
you think about?

Speaker 4 (29:00):
Wait?

Speaker 1 (29:00):
So all day long and after I give myself a
window to not message Mike, it's about a four hour
period in the evening where I will not message Mike,
and then I just keep all my notes in a
note app and then I send them all at once
when I'm done, Like last night I messaged him.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
At Those are always interesting.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
What about just that's always something, some content piece, some story,
something that's in my head. And yeah, yeah, I think
that'd be good tho, because that he's never done it,
I think it'd be I'm bad too, but I know
enough of it to not start at zero. But I
think that would be fun content.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
That would be fun.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
And I've just never thought of doing it, like I
just because I'm not flexible at all, and then it
just sounds miserable.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
So it's that'd be really fun.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
But and I'm not good enough to make it uncomfortable
that you're bad, Okay, good, like Amy's good. I wouldn't
want her there because she's good enough that she'd be
doing crap.

Speaker 10 (29:53):
You've been doing it for a while, right, Well, I
haven't done it in a while, but I did it
for so long that some of the moves I can still.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
She knows the move. Yeah, she's like, oh gorganzola chicken. Yeah,
I know that that's where you take your knee. And
so I'm just good and bad enough that you wouldn't
feel uncomfortable. Okay, So yeah, Scoob, that'd be awesome. We'll
pay them, just let me know, all right, cool, I
saved a bunch of money on your plane ticket to Vegas.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
I got little extra money.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
All right, let's take a break. The grandpa that got
chunked in the air by that bison is talking. He lived.
I mean, what a stud because that guy got thrown
and he was old. Two things. You might die just
from being thrown. You also might die from just being old.
But he got thrown way up there.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
And he said.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
This is from CBS Mornings, saying he was trying to
lure the bison away from his grandson.

Speaker 11 (30:39):
McDaniel is recovering after surgery, and in a social media post,
McDaniel wrote, thank you everyone, I am okay, followed by
a thumbs up emoji.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
We like to see that.

Speaker 11 (30:50):
McDaniel told CNN he tried to lure the bison away
from his grandson. McDaniel also said he was grateful the situation.

Speaker 7 (30:59):
Was not worse.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
They said a car honked at the bison. We didn't
hear that because we didn't have the audio. We just
saw the video. But they were still out messing around
with that bison. There. They were taking pictures of the bison.
What we can learn here is wild animals move away.
These kids that were petting the alligator yesterday or the
day before. Did you guys see that story? So obviously

(31:22):
they were doing it for social media, and they were
petting the alligator. The alligator by them, no, but like
days before wanted eaten somebody. So this is in Florida.
A couple of days ago a swimmer was killed by
one of these alligators, and so the TikTok person was like,
come with us to pet alligators. Feels like it's to
get ready for me. Come with us, Come with me

(31:45):
as we get ready. But they go and they called
their summer stever win summer. Now the irony is, you know,
he died an animal. So one clip shows the young
woman paddling on soil over Spring State Park in a
small clear canoe when one of them puts their hand
in the water, rubbing her hand along the alligator's back.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
Idiots.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
The clip was seen twenty one million times.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Yeah, because that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
That's why they're doing it. But if you mess with
animals and you get hurt or die, you shouldn't expect
a lot of sympathy. If an animal comes out of
the woods and you don't expect the animal like going
on a hike and a bear agaets you. Sympathy, a
lot of sympathy. That is very unfortunate. If you're petting
an alligator and an alligator bite you or eat you.

(32:32):
I don't know that. I'm gonna go. Oh, I can't
believe it. How tragic.

Speaker 7 (32:36):
Yeah, I hate to say, it's like you.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Oh, but nothing happened to them, and now here we
are talking about it, so other people are going to
do it. Yeah, so that bison won't be euthanized, by
the way, Thank God good. That would have been terrible
had they killed that big, beautiful creature for doing nothing.
He didn't want to have his picture taken. We all
saw that, obviously, Sometimes you just taken. And the grandpa
that survived he got thrown so high. The fact that

(33:03):
he didn't come down on his neck or his head.
He was also like a unit of a man. I
think that probably helped as well in big.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
Big in stature. Yeah, yeah, a unit of a man.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
I've never heard that. That sounds cool.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
You never heard someone called a unit? Well, like other parts,
I don't know what you're watching. Maybe all right, you
can rent someone to come and barbecue with and for you.
Sixty five bucks a day. Rate's pretty low.

Speaker 7 (33:28):
Oh like, if they come to do it with you,
are they training you or.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
No, it's not for a skill.

Speaker 7 (33:32):
It's just like a buddy.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Yeah, this this is how it works. This will eventually
be some sort of prostitution. We turn everything into prostitution
of some sort. But yeah, right now, you can hire
someone to barbecue with you if you're lonely. The unusual
service has been gaining traction with dozens of ads.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
Dozens of ads like asking for it or ads like.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yeah because people people offering and then people saying, oh, yes,
I'll come and barbecue with in for me.

Speaker 7 (34:03):
I don't know what I think, I'm with you? What
does barbecue mean?

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Right?

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Yes, even if it is, even if the first couple
of people had good intentions, it turns into prostitution real quick.

Speaker 7 (34:13):
Yeah, they figured out like a loophole.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
They come to your house, I'm here to barbecue.

Speaker 7 (34:22):
Say what I have in my head?

Speaker 1 (34:23):
It's it's twice. Amy's just perman out.

Speaker 7 (34:26):
I just thought they might jump on the hot dog.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Oh wow, you went there is happening right now, that's
what barbecue. What did you watch last night? He did Rivalry?

Speaker 10 (34:38):
What?

Speaker 7 (34:39):
No, I don't have a desire to watch that.

Speaker 8 (34:41):
Okay, Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
There is a new phone from Samsung. It's a it's
a foldable. These foldable phones are the coolest things because
it's a flip phone. But then you flip it up
and it's got a massive screen. How do you even
fold a screen like that? To me is crazy? And
I saw the exclusive trailer. There's a Samsung brand new
generation foldable, new foldable shape, reinforcing their foldable superiority with

(35:07):
the eighth generation of foldable devices. Dang, they've done that.
Many these phones look awesome. And also as a Spider Man,
there's another Spider Man coming out, Mike, Oh yeah, you're
looking forward to this one?

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yeah, buy my ticket is like a month ago.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Oh it's that that good?

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Yeah? One of my most anticipated movies of the year.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Who's the Spider Man?

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Tom Holland, he's great.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Did you guys see where he tried to message the
the soccer player Holland and Holland didn't message him back.
I ghosted him.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
No, no, but that's funny.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Yeah, looks that story up. I get all the Spider
Man mixed up.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Though.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
There's Toby Maguire, there's Tom Holland. And there's the other
guy that's kind of the middle of those, Garfield Andrew Garfield, right, yeah,
it had to be Tom Holland because he's in Daya's guy.

Speaker 8 (35:46):
Right.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Look, they're married right now, they are. Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's that good.

Speaker 7 (35:51):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
The New Spider Man, Oh yeah, I haven't watched really
them since Toby maguire. I've watched spider Man, Spider Man
like Peterman from Seinfeld. I watched uh, Spider Man and Avengers. Yeah,
he's good in that, that's him, right, Yeah, Holland. Is
that you see the story about the soccer player?

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Yeah, that was him.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Uh. So A brand New Shape is coming Reserve the
Next Galaxy on Samsung dot Com today, and Spider Man
Brand New Day is exclusively in theater is July thirty.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
First.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Did you feel like if you didn't get tickets to that,
you wouldn't get tickets to that for a while.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
I gotta get my seat.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Is it because you wanted a good seat or maybe
no seat?

Speaker 3 (36:29):
I mean the time I want is the seat I want?
You gotta get him early.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Yeah, we're going to watch Odyssey.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Mm.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Yeah, Friday, I told.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
You guys that three hours.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
That's why I told my wife yesterday. I said, hey,
you know, movies three hours. He's like, okay, cool, no problems, Like,
you're alright, I'm glad I picked the earlier when that
since it's gonna last with previews and everything, is this
gonna be a three minute, three hour and forty minute movie?

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Right?

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Nah?

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah, I guess total from the start time because I
have to get there at the start time because I
feel like if I don't, I'll be late to the movie.

Speaker 8 (37:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Then credits are seven minutes, so you can take off
seven minutes.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
You're not staying for credits, right, No, but he's saying
you can pull it off the total time.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Oh got it?

Speaker 10 (37:11):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Yeah. So all right, Spider Man is coming out July
thirty first, so that's not this weekend or next with
the one after that.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
Yeah, and the Punisher is in it.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
I love the Punisher. That's one of my favorites. He's
not an Adventures though, is he?

Speaker 3 (37:24):
No, probably will eventually.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
John Burn thought was awesome.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
He's great. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Check out the new phone and check out Spider Man
brand new day.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
All right, there you go.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
So the house yesterday passed the daylight saving time will
be permanent. Okay, now it's still got to get through
the Senate, but the House did say, all right, thumbs up,
we're going daylight saving time. I think this might be
one of those instances where we need smart people to
protect us from being dumb, because I'm someone who goes man,

(37:55):
let's just commit to daylight savings time because it stays lighter, darker,
because we all know I like to play in the
cul de Sac late at night, right before the street
lights come on. Of course, but I did a lot
of research last night. The science community says we should
not go to permanent daylight saving time for a couple
of reasons. One, we will not sleep as well. Our

(38:17):
bodies do not line up with the times whenever it's later,
lighter later, and darker earlier. Secondly, in the winter, it's
going to be so dark all through the morning and
some places not getting light until nine am. Where you
got kids at bus stops, you got driving basically at
night in the morning. So science says not the best idea.

(38:42):
Normal dumb dumbs like us go awesome idea because I
like light later. So this might be one of those
instances where we need smart people to save us from ourselves,
because I'm totally down for daylight saving time all the time.

Speaker 7 (38:57):
Yeah, I have never taken to consideration these other things
you're mentioning.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
They tried this in the seventies and they flipped it
in ten months.

Speaker 7 (39:05):
Really, I didn't know that part either.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
So I've been very vocal about why we flip in times.
It seems now there was a reason. Yeah, I've never
quite dug in. And I spent probably twenty minutes last
night one reading what the House said and what happens next.
It may not even pass the Senate. Then secondly, I
was reading a lot of people in the science community

(39:29):
writing articles about why this is not good for our bodies.
So take that for what it is. It's still got
to get to the Senate.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
Did it barely pass or no?

Speaker 1 (39:38):
It passed pretty I don't have the numbers, but it
was like one eighty to seventy or something like that.

Speaker 7 (39:42):
Okay, well, so they are just not taking into consideration.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
No, it's just a very populous thing, and right now
nothing like distraction from the things that really suck, Like
we're about to have oil prices go back up, because
what's happening and or on. So why don't we pass
a bill that's, hey, let's do light savings time because
people like that and they'll talk about that for a minute. Okay,
that's why I think, because everything else kind of sucks
right now. But I think we need the smart people

(40:09):
to protect us from ourselves.

Speaker 8 (40:11):
Here.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
If that's the case, it passed. Here's the actual numbers,
three O eight to one seventeen that still got the Senate.

Speaker 6 (40:18):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
I still feel like daylight's good and fun. Later, I'm
still even though I say that, like protect us. You
gotta protect me from me because it sounds awesome. Yeah,
but that's what's up. I don't really know how to
feel because it does sound fun. But you got kids
that if they're riding the bus, You got people driving
to work, complete darkness. You got our bodies not lining up.
It's still daylight. Later, we're trying to go to sleep
and it's still light, I mean nine pm.

Speaker 10 (40:41):
I've always wanted it to happen, but I don't want
it to happen because of a distraction.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Well, also, what I don't want to happen is all
the states to do their own thing because they can.

Speaker 7 (40:51):
Well, Arizona doesn't have it, and that's.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Great, but that's one state. I think maybe Vegas sometimes
doesn't flip Vegas nevadi. I think they don't have time
that I'm clocks there, and that may not even be
true either. But if every state starts to be different,
then it's hard to keep up with. It's not so
hard to go. Arizona rocks. They have their own thing.
But if Iowa was different than Florida's different than Arkansas.

Speaker 7 (41:13):
Now, you like never know what time it is when
you're going.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
So it's not even all of Arizona. It's Hawaiian most
of Arizona, OHI is most So I.

Speaker 5 (41:21):
Wonder what they're saying about it, like is their sleep bad?
You know, like are their kids getting.

Speaker 1 (41:26):
I didn't ask anybody in Arizona. I feel like they
should speak up because they've been doing they committed to
it a long time ago. And I'm not sure because
there are two versions as well. You can do permanent
standard time or permanent daylight savings, and daylight savings is
the one that rocks, okay, because we get to play
golf later, work out on the driveway later daylight.

Speaker 7 (41:47):
To stay up later.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, rocks save us from ourselves.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
Please.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (42:00):
Here's a question to becaud.

Speaker 7 (42:05):
The well man.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
Hello, Bobby Bones. I've been married eleven years. I love
my husband, have no interest in cheating. But every once
in a while, when my friends and I go out
to a bar or restaurant, I take off my wedding ring.
I don't flirt, I don't give my number, I don't
accept free drinks. I don't lead anyone on. I just
enjoy the compliments and attention. It makes me feel attractive
again in a way that I haven't felt in a
long time. My husband has no idea I do this.

(42:31):
I think you'd be heard if you knew. So my
question is, is taking off my wedding ring just to
get hit on considered cheating? Is it harmless? Signed miss invisible,
So it's not considered cheating, but it's also not harmless.
I think where the conversation needs it to happen is
between you and your husband, and that you don't feel

(42:53):
desired anymore. I think that's why you're wanting to do this.
I think it's a symptom of the actual problem, which
is at home, you're not getting the attention that you
probably need. It sounds like you for sure need so
this is not healthy. I would not continue this behavior,
but it's not cheating. And if he were to catch you,

(43:17):
he'd be mad.

Speaker 7 (43:18):
Yeah, isn't that one of her questions? Like if he
knew about this, would he.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Be He'd be so irritated and then you would have
to eventually get to the conversation. Well, only do it
because they don't feel like at home, I'm desired. So
I think the question is how do I fix this?
And how I would say to fix it is to
let your husband know he may not know you feel
this way, and if he doesn't know, how can he
do a better job. A lot of times we will

(43:42):
assign blame on someone and go, man, they're not giving
me this, they're not allowing me to do this, and
they don't even know what they're how you feel because
of what they're.

Speaker 10 (43:49):
Doing exactly, if you do not express what you're feeling, yeah,
you have to share that with your partner and then
they have the opportunity to fix it.

Speaker 7 (43:59):
Then if they choose not to, then you have another
decision to make.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
We're not victim blaming here, We're just saying if you
don't share the problem, he may not even know there
is a problem, and this may be something that has
grown over time and he doesn't know. But I definitely
would not be out at a bar taking your ring
off so you can get free drinks or just the
compliments or yeah, yeah, do.

Speaker 5 (44:20):
You tell him that that you've been doing that because
she's not feeling the love from him? You can, you can, oh,
because I mean, I think that will send the message
like I've been doing this because I don't feel wanted
by you.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
I don't think I would lead with that. Well, I
would go, hey, here's how I feel, and this is
why I feel this way. And I think if it
elevates to a point, you could go, it's gotten to
the point where it's feels so unhealthy that I've.

Speaker 6 (44:47):
Been doing this.

Speaker 10 (44:47):
Yeah, and where I think you know a better place
to start before you resort to that method would be communication.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
So you got to share it, because it's hard to
be mad at somebody whenever they don't know what they're
doing to create that. And then again, like he says,
he doesn't react or respond in a way that is healthy,
then you have to make other decisions. Yeah, maybe you
go a little further next time. Yeah, I need to say. Now,

(45:16):
you got to tell your husband. He may not even know.
Good luck. That's a real thing. Thanks for emailing us,
all right, close it up. Earlier Lunchwalk said that he
missed out on his trip for the most part to
Temecula from Prices Right because he didn't read that he
had to go and pursue it himself within thirty days.
Any update there? Oh no, no yet, so you might

(45:38):
miss out on the whole trip.

Speaker 8 (45:39):
Correct, still waiting.

Speaker 9 (45:40):
I reached out to Prices Right to see if there's
any way, like if they can grant me something like,
let me pick a date whatever.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
You want a gym And it's still in your porch.

Speaker 8 (45:52):
So I'm a porch.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
He's not a very motivated person.

Speaker 9 (45:55):
Huh No, No, no, I am motivated. I went out
and made it up. And it's just like getting a
three hundred pound thing off your porch is hard, my wife,
How long has.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
It been on your porch?

Speaker 8 (46:07):
Probably a month?

Speaker 3 (46:08):
No longer, maybe longer.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
So this computer because you want a computer as well.

Speaker 9 (46:13):
Correct, And they said it was being shipped. Never came,
never came. The other day, I see my kids playing
mail they like act like they're the mailman. They deliver stuff,
and they have a little sticky one like a little
and it says the UPS tried to deliver this to
your house. You have to come to our facility to
pick it up. I'm like, guys, and they're like, well,

(46:35):
it's mail, So we were delivering the mail. I don't
know how long it's been there. So I'm like, give
me that thing, and I go to the UPS store
to get my computer.

Speaker 1 (46:45):
And I go to pick it up, and here we go.

Speaker 9 (46:48):
I'm just here to pick up I guess a package
I missed. I'm not sure what it is, but maybe
one of my prizes from prices right.

Speaker 12 (46:55):
Or something, you know, says the package those returns descenders
what because they exceeded them.

Speaker 1 (47:14):
So your gem is on your porch. Your trip is
not happening because you forgot to read the rules and
then you didn't see that they tried to deliver your computer.

Speaker 4 (47:24):
Correct, Because your kids play a game called Mail.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Did they get it immediately and start playing mail? Or
was it up there for a couple of days.

Speaker 9 (47:31):
No, No, they must have seen it on the door
when they got home and I wasn't there. They were
the first you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
How long ago? Because it set there forever, I don't
know how long.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
The sticky thing.

Speaker 9 (47:40):
They took it off the door right when they saw it, obviously,
and they just put it somewhere and then they started
playing mail. And that's the only reason I saw it.
They didn't say, hey dad, this was on the door.

Speaker 8 (47:51):
Do you need this?

Speaker 9 (47:52):
They just saw something on the door. It was like, oh,
that's cool. It sticks to stuff.

Speaker 8 (47:56):
And so I got it.

Speaker 9 (47:57):
In the day I got it. I went to ups
and they return to Cinder not even a hey man,
we're gonna try to deliver it again, or do you
want to come get this? They just straight up send
it back.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
So, now what do you do?

Speaker 10 (48:14):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (48:14):
You know what I gotta do.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
No, that's why I asked.

Speaker 9 (48:17):
I gotta reach out to Prices right again? It look
like the biggest idiot of all time? Yeah, for sure,
And say, hey, guys, I know I hit you about Temecula,
But now is there anything I can do about my computer?

Speaker 8 (48:31):
Boy?

Speaker 1 (48:34):
How in the world?

Speaker 9 (48:36):
Like this is a prime example of the world just
works in a weird way.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
No, No, you messed up the Temecula trip. That's not
the world working in a weird way. You have the
box in your ports that you haven't moved, correct, but
that hasn't But this is just like, man, it just
piles up. I mean when this guy I'm sitting there
trying to be all like, oh man, I'm from the
Price is Right, you know, sound all cool, and he
types that dumb number in the computer.

Speaker 8 (49:03):
And he goes, oh, man, was return to cender?

Speaker 5 (49:05):
Oh did you expect for him to say something after
you said, like just picking up maybe my computer from
prices Right.

Speaker 1 (49:12):
Yeah, I'd be like, oh, dude, that's so cool, tell
me more about it. Yeah, something, You're so cool. He
didn't say anything, And the people.

Speaker 8 (49:18):
Around me that were in like, they didn't say anything either.
They didn't care. So I'm gonna be reaching out the
Prices is Right and I'm I don't even know what.

Speaker 7 (49:29):
At this point he needs one.

Speaker 8 (49:31):
I just emailed the general.

Speaker 4 (49:33):
Did you need a name and number?

Speaker 1 (49:36):
Yeah? Info at prices Right dot com. Is that how
you're emailing?

Speaker 9 (49:39):
That's who I email? Like, whoever emailed me like my
tax form? I just reply to them be like, hey.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
You think he gets this stuff?

Speaker 1 (49:46):
I don't know when do the shoes come in?

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 9 (49:48):
I have not heard a word about the shoes, like,
not even a peep. But I know that like Marilyn,
my my girl, she U was telling me she hadn't
got her camera yet, so I figure maybe the nicer
stuff takes.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
A little bit longer.

Speaker 8 (50:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (50:01):
I would say the computer's nicer than the shoes. No,
shoes are a thousand dollars a pop. Three pairs computers
on a couple of thou built in webcam.

Speaker 6 (50:12):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 7 (50:16):
Are you sure it's even a couple of thousand?

Speaker 1 (50:18):
It was on the show. Okay, Yeah, sorry about that, dude.

Speaker 8 (50:22):
Oh man, it's tough. It's a tough day.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
Hey, Raymundo. Those casino chips that amy that you gave you, Yes, did.

Speaker 8 (50:31):
They work.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
You?

Speaker 7 (50:36):
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (50:37):
We took him to Aria when we went there for
Papa shot me and Scuba. I split him with him
just because he took me in the rental car. I
wasn't gonna make it over to Aria. We were across
town and it wasn't even a bat of the eye.
The lady just took him in totally a different style
of chips that they had on the plane for that.
All they said was Aria didn't even think twice about him.
Gave us a hundred bucks. Why did you give him

(50:59):
those chips?

Speaker 10 (51:00):
I traded him the chips for some of those plants
he was selling in the fall, the big months that
he gets from some mum vendor on the side of
the road or farmer seasonal.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
Yes, and very large.

Speaker 7 (51:14):
They were very large. They barely fit in my car.
And so instead of paying him cash, I said, I
have these chips from Vegas like pre COVID. They're old.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
But you gave him more in chips than you would
have given him in cash.

Speaker 7 (51:29):
I think it was the right amount.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
Why would he ever accept the chips then if it's
the same amount, I have no idea. I don't know.

Speaker 10 (51:37):
I've taken them with me to Vegas multiple times, but
then I don't always have time to go gamble and
cash it in, so I just or we're not always
at the Aria.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
So mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Uh did you guys get a convertible rental car? Mm hmm.
We thought it'd be good for the content since we
were doing the YouTube stuff. It's hilarious if you go
watch the video of them, because it's up on the
Bobby Bone Show YouTube page. It says Ray and Scuba
in Vegas. They get out of the plane, they act
like they got off a private jet yep, and then
they jump into a convertible blue convertible. We're about to

(52:09):
hit the strip, and Scuba was like, hey, let's jump in.
And I almost ripped a head off on one of
the seats.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Yea, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
I've never rented a car in Vegas, nor if I.

Speaker 6 (52:19):
That was my first time ever, but I figured it
was cost effective to have a car versus paying for
uber uber Uber Uber.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
I saw you guys went to the Vegas Sign. I've
never been to the Vegas Sign. I don't even buy it.
But first for me, were there a lot of people
standing out there trying to take pictures?

Speaker 6 (52:33):
No, we were there late at night, it was like
around eleven pm.

Speaker 1 (52:35):
And there's even a parking lot there for you. Yeah,
like on the other side of it, right the park Yeah, yeah,
I thought the convertible. But then you were in a
different car. Did you switch cars?

Speaker 6 (52:44):
So then when we went to Papa Shot, we did
have taken Uber because I didn't want to be faced
with a dui, so we took an Uber.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
To good thing.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
So if we were drinking the whole time, why did
I just get an uber Originally? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (52:54):
Because original, Well, we were't drinking the whole time. We
were only drinking that one particular moment of the trip.
We weren't drinking before and after.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
Yeah, the night that we did all the set right
on the strip stuff, and then we went to the sign,
we were in drinking, so we were like, hey, let's
get all this knocked out now. Next day is when
we do the Uber Black when we were gonna have
unlimited drinks.

Speaker 6 (53:11):
Yes, and now Uber ended up getting pulled over anyway,
so I should have just drove. Oh, we're leaving the
freaking Thomas Max Center and the guy goes in another
lane and makes an ilegal left turn right in front
of a Las Vegas police officer, and we immediately get
pulled over. And we're sitting there for like thirty minutes
while he's getting a ticket.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
And then we'll let you guys out of the car
if that out we're stuck, And then then we got
charged for it too.

Speaker 6 (53:30):
My bill went up like twenty dollars because of the
extra time for the drive.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
No way, Yes, you can't dispute that right.

Speaker 6 (53:38):
Yeah, I've had the time to dispute it.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Yeah, wasn't it just push couple buttons?

Speaker 6 (53:42):
Well that's funny because when we're in the car and
I got a phone call from Wichital, Kansas and it
was like, Hi, this is Uber checking to see if
you're okay. You've been stalled for X amount of minutes,
and then it just said press one if you're okay
or if you're not down nine one one, and I'm like, okay,
but we were fine, so.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Yeah, and then the cop like asked us. He's like, hey,
are you guys all good and everything. I'm like, isn't
it okay to be drunk in the back seat? The officer,
I've had five drinks, but.

Speaker 6 (54:09):
I'm in the back seat and we're we're reviving over
and chopping up on Papa shot and he's having a
good time. And then I think because our energy was
so positive and we heard it happens a great time.
The cop comes back and he's like, look, I'm not
going to give you the ticket you would have got
for you I legal turn no to the driver. Oh,
He's like, but I'm just going to give you cause
a lesser ticket. No turn signal use, And so I

(54:30):
worked out for that guy.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
Did you give that guy a worse rating? No?

Speaker 6 (54:34):
I still gave him a five because I felt bad
for him. He was like a you know, father with kids,
and I'm sure he just had a long day and
trying to you know, we've all done that where we
made an I leegal turn?

Speaker 4 (54:43):
Well did we?

Speaker 1 (54:43):
I was hoping we didn't accidentally say when we hopped
in the vehicle, get his home fast. What if you're
going to the airport and that happens and you're pretty
close to time, but then you have to sit the
whole time. You can't get out and get a different
car to get you there own time.

Speaker 6 (54:57):
I would get out if I was pressed for time,
I would definitely get out. But we were not in
that situation.

Speaker 1 (55:02):
So they didn't say you can't get out. You just
chose not to.

Speaker 6 (55:04):
We just chose not to, Yeah, because we didn't care.
We're just chilling. We're drunk, and we're sitting in a
nice escalade, just relaxing.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
And so you went from renting a car because it's
gonna save you money to getting an Uber black. It
was only twenty dollars.

Speaker 10 (55:15):
That was it.

Speaker 6 (55:16):
Now forty forty Well now, well, yeah, yeah, I went
up to like I think twenty seven, and you're not.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
Going back with Ray?

Speaker 6 (55:23):
No, I'm not now.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
I told him his road has ended. It was a
heck of a journey, but I'm going to continue to
torch from here on out. Are you sad you're not
going to It's his third trip, you guys have been
on two together.

Speaker 6 (55:34):
I mean, I definitely wanted to go, but I'm also
burnt out from traveling all a lot because I've been
flying back and forth to San Francisco to drop my
family off, to see my family to leave him there,
and then Vegas twice and not to fly again in
San Francisco in two weeks. So I'm kind of burnt
on flying.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
Will you watch Ray on ESPN Plus?

Speaker 6 (55:49):
Oh my gosh, yeah, I'm I'm so excited. I'm gonna
have a watch party myself, just.

Speaker 8 (55:54):
Like you.

Speaker 1 (55:55):
And me.

Speaker 4 (55:56):
I'm gonna have a watch party in my house.

Speaker 1 (55:58):
Okay. But the chip to work?

Speaker 6 (55:59):
Oh yeah, money a lot.

Speaker 8 (56:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (56:02):
And that video is on YouTube too, of them of
Ray cashing the chips.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
We cut you a short wait wait wait wait wait,
so you gambled? What'd you play'd we split it, so
fifty dollars at fifteen dollars minimum tables. Yeah, and how
much did you go cash in for? You had fifty
to start, well, we each did fifty. We split one
hundred and a half, so both had the same. But
I did terrible. I mean I lasted maybe ten minutes.

Speaker 6 (56:25):
I gambled for almost an hour, and we were playing
roulett at one table, and I always play my same numbers,
and there is one number that if it hits, I
immediately cash out. And it's my ex wife's birthday. That
number hits it is a sign to kick rocks and
go to another table, or just be done with gambling.

Speaker 1 (56:41):
So you don't bet it, but if it hits, you leave.

Speaker 6 (56:42):

Speaker 1 (57:25):
No, it was a clean split. I didn't want any

Speaker 6 (57:28):
His money, though, so I feel like he should at

Speaker 1 (57:32):
They were sitting on my table at my house for

Speaker 6 (57:38):

Speaker 1 (57:39):
