Today in Provo, Utah. In a courtroom, prosecutors laid out
more of their case against Tyler James Robinson, the twenty
three year old man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk last
September tenth at Utah Valley University. This is day two
of the preliminary hearing. The state, by the way, doesn't

have to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt yet, just

Christopher Bagley testified yesterday described what he found when he
got up there right after the shooting. Gravel markings consistent
with someone lying prone, elbow impressions, knee marks, foot positioning,
with a perfect sight line to where Kirk's tent and

podium were set up. Hull called it a sniper pad.
No shelcations were recovered on the roof, consistent with a
bolt action rifle that ejects to the side or is caught,
but the murder weapon itself, a bolt action rifle with
one spent round still chambered, was recovered in nearby woods,

wrapped in a towel. DNA on that towel matches Tyler
Robinson and his romantic partner and roommate, Lance Twiggs, who
is cooperating with investigators. DNA was also found on a
screwdriver left behind on the rooftop. Prosecutor say Robinson confessed

in his own words. They've referenced a note he allegedly
left for his roommate that reads, I had the opportunity
to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it,
and a text message in which Robinson reportedly said he
targeted Kirk because he had enough of his hatred. That's
a quote. That's not vague political disagreement. That's motive targeting

a man in this case, Charlie Kirk for his political expression.
State is also highlighting aggravating factors that could support the
death penalty they're seeking. Shooting occurred in front of a
large crowd that included children, and Prosecutors argue Robinson specifically
targeted Kirk because of his conservative views and because of

his founding of Turning Point USA. A statement from a
Turning Point USA board member describing the organization's political and
religious principles was provisionally admitted today over defense objections. Prosecutors
say it helps establish why Robinson chose this target. Defense
attorneys are doing what defense attorneys do, questioning video identification,

poking at chain of custody issues, noting the absence of
shell casings, and challenging some of the DNA interpretation. They've
tried to suggest other people were on or near that roof.
But so far Judge Tony Graff has been allowing the
state's evidence in Robinson sat in court watching the videos

the target of the venue, shows a prepared firing position,

the accused himself about why he did it. It was

a political assassination. This was to take somebody out because
the Left cannot handle people who make arguments peacefully, lawfully
against their demonic ideology. And that's really what this comes
down to. This individual was particularly outraged about Charlie's positions
(06:07):
on trans identity, in part because it is believed the
individual has a or I think this has confirmed, had
a sexual relationship with a trans female or a non
binary trans or something like that. And he decided that
he would silence a voice who was reaching out to
(06:28):
the youth of America very effectively, so that they would
not believe these lies anymore, so that they would no
longer just be hearing constant propaganda in the media demanding
that we all acquiesce to the most extreme aspects of
(06:50):
the gender identity madness out there. And this is the
justice system at work. It's also deeply sad. It's a
reminder Charlie was just thirty one years old. He built
Turning Point into a powerhouse, which was changing campus culture
(07:12):
towards the Constitution and patriotism. He helped President Trump get elected.
He was a husband and a father, and he was
murdered in broad daylight on a college campus just for
exercising his First Amendment rights and wanted to have an
exchange of ideas with anyone who wanted to show up.
So the preliminary hearing continues this week. Prosecutors still have more,
(07:36):
including reportedly a statement from Robinson's roommate and additional digital evidence.
But what we've heard so far is more than enough
to send this case to trial. That much is clear,
and justice for Charlie Kirk isn't just about one man.
This is about the country and the soul of the country,
(07:58):
and whether we will hold those to account who seek
to stain our First Amendment with blood, seek to undermine
our civic discourse, and look to tear us apart based
upon differences of opinion, using the most heinous violence to
(08:19):
do so. The evidence laid out in that provo courtroom
says the state believes, beyond any reasonable doubt they know
who pulled the trigger, They know the motive behind this,
and I think that much is that much is obvious
at this point. We'll never forget what was stolen from
(08:41):
us as a country and as a conservative movement on
September tenth, twenty twenty five. We can't bring Charlie back,
but there can be an attempt to get justice such
as it is possible in our system. And I do
think the death penalty here would be entirely appropriate, and
(09:04):
I hope the State of utahsites that through and upon conviction,
will carry it out expeditiously. I also will just say
I hope that people who have been misled on this,
and I can't speak to people who have been doing
the misleading, but people who have been misled on whether
(09:26):
or not this was the likely assassin of Charlie kirk
And I only say likely or alleged because it's a
legal necessity. This is the guy. It's very obvious this
is the guy. There is not some grand conspiracy out
there of hundreds of law enforcement officers and investigators and
(09:47):
reporters and prosecutors and President Trump and President Trump's son
and Charlie kirks Wood and all these people all in
cahoots to cover up the real person behind this or
anything like that. That is crazy and to believe that
is to be a part of a deranged lie. And

I hope no one would seek to be part of
a deranged lie. The evidence already presented, Oh sure, we
can wait for it to be tested in court. Yes,
of course, Tyler Robinson should have his day with his defense,
and he will. But was everyone sitting around waiting to
say whether they believed oj Simpson was guilty when he
went to trialt No, of course, not because he was guilty,

even though of course he was found not guilty. But
that's a whole other conversation. This is that level of
obviousness for the guilt of the individual involved. They have
they have, they have him confessing to other people about this.
We don't even know what his alleged defense is supposed
(10:50):
to be. Don't get caught up with people who are
manipulating you, you know, I mean, this is this is
why I wrote this book. This is why I wrote
manufact delusion, and this is the book was submitted to
the publisher long before Charlie's assassination. Delusions can happen on
the right as well, and Unfortunately some have taken hold.

The left lives on delusion and the manipulation of people's
emotions and their minds and leads them astray, leads their
souls astray. That shouldn't happen among people who are on
the right, who believe in in history as it existed,
in reality as it exists today, and in morality and

some presentation of facts or evidence to completely undermine everything
that we have already seen presented in a court, everyone
needs to be smart and think this through and be

his soul if he is found guilty. That's where we
are on this situation. And anyway, anyone who's going to

any contempt that they have for my thoughts on this
as a badge of honor. There is nothing that people
