Hour 1 of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show focused on a wide-ranging discussion of politics, immigration enforcement, military readiness, testosterone replacement therapy, media coverage, and the latest sports headlines. The hour opened with commentary on the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal, as Clay and Buck reacted to England's loss to Argentina, debated coaching decisions, and discussed the success of the tournament's U.S. venues, including strong attendance, television ratings, and America's growing role in international soccer.

The conversation quickly shifted to national policy and immigration enforcement, one of the dominant themes of Hour 1. Clay and Buck examined reports that ICE had briefly restricted certain traffic-stop enforcement tactics following recent confrontations involving illegal immigrants and federal agents. The hosts argued that such restrictions would undermine deportation efforts and create incentives for suspects to evade law enforcement. They praised President Donald Trump's decision to restore traffic-stop authority for immigration enforcement operations and discussed broader border security, deportation policy, illegal immigration, sanctuary politics, and growing tensions between federal immigration authorities and Democratic elected officials. The hosts also highlighted remarks from Border Czar Tom Homan, who warned that anti-ICE rhetoric could contribute to additional violence against federal agents.

Another major topic was President Trump's upcoming primetime address concerning alleged Chinese interference in the 2020 election. Clay and Buck previewed the expected speech, debated whether major television networks would carry it live, and discussed the potential political ramifications of any new information regarding election integrity, foreign influence operations, and U.S.-China relations.

A significant portion of Hour 1 centered on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's announcement that the Department of Defense will begin screening service members for testosterone deficiency as part of annual health assessments. The hosts strongly supported the initiative, framing it as part of a broader effort to improve military readiness, combat effectiveness, recruitment, fitness standards, and overall warfighter performance. The discussion expanded into the science of testosterone, aging, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), men's health, physical performance, strength training, recovery, and the role of fitness in military culture. Clay and Buck argued that maintaining optimal health and performance among service members is critical to national defense and contrasted the policy with what they described as previous Pentagon priorities focused on diversity initiatives rather than combat readiness.

The hosts also explored cultural and political implications of declining testosterone levels among American men, discussing modern masculinity, fitness trends, political identity, and broader debates surrounding health and wellness. They referenced media culture, Hollywood casting controversies, elite military units, and the relationship between physical strength, performance optimization, and military effectiveness. Listener calls later in the hour further expanded the discussion, with callers sharing personal experiences regarding testosterone replacement therapy, medical monitoring, aging, energy levels, and overall quality of life.

Additional topics included the launch of Clay and Buck's new live YouTube video stream, audience engagement across digital platforms, and discussion of a Houston immigration enforcement case involving a suspect allegedly found with methamphetamine while attempting to evade authorities.

Overall, Hour 1 was dominated by discussions of immigration policy, ICE enforcement, border security, President Trump's agenda, Chinese election interference allegations, military readiness, testosterone replacement therapy, men's health, fitness, masculinity, and defense policy, while also touching on major international soccer news and the evolving media landscape.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to the Thursday edition of The Clay Travis
and Buck Sexton Show. Congrats to you Argentina fans out there.
Very sad day for those of us who were on
the Jolly Old England train. Very sad for us. They
were defeated right after the show yesterday, and so I

(00:23):
think there'll be a lot less World Cup talk on
the show because I no longer am going to be
in a position where I can say that I have
picked an amazing team to win the whole thing. So
we can just forget all about my prediction, which was Clay,
you were at the game. I was at the game,
your boys, Jolly old England. That's one of the weakest,

(00:48):
most cowardly conclusions to a game that I have seen
in a very very long time across all sports England
for those of you who didn't watch, and it was
an amazing game. England got a one to zero lead and
basically went into uh like a fetal position and just
tried to protect that lead. They're playing against the greatest

(01:09):
soccer player of all time and they just they had
what and probably the best offense, the best offense of
all time.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
This would be to.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Put it in football terms for everybody, this would be
you're up one touchdown, not five touchdown. You're up one touchdown,
and for the second half of the entire football game,
You're like, I have this amazing idea. Let's just run
a prevent defense the entire time and not try to
score ourselves. We're gonna to them every on every play,

(01:40):
and we're gonna run prevent on defense. Though it was
clay the fact that coach makes eight million dollars a year,
it was the single most. It was the worst malpractice
from a coaching perspective in sports I've ever seen. But
a lot of you don't care. So we're not gonna
spend much time on this today. We will just say
the World Cup is pretty much over as far as
I'm concerned. Spain's playing Argentina Iron a rock war. For me,

(02:03):
I wish they could both lose. And there you go.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I I it was an amazing scene, great event. Atlanta
has done a fantastic job. I do think President Trump's
going to be interviewed before the World Cup for the
conclusion on Sunday, and I do think you have to
give a tremendous amount of credit to Andrew Giuliani, who
we've had on this program quite a lot. There are
two games left. They play a third place game, which.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Is like the that's absurd, the saddest game they should
put us, They should put us in there, just for
the lols.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And but the championship, the game in New York is
going to be awesome. And I do think this summer
we have used soccer to establish American exceptionalism in the
eyes of many people around the world. Everybody has come
and visited. It has been very safe that we're on
track to have the greatest attendance, and the television viewership

(03:00):
for those who haven't been able to go to a game,
has been outstanding. So all that is good. But Bucks
beloved England has gone down. It was, like I said,
the Battle of Yorktown in many ways for the.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
For the British boys.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, it turns out well, it turns out refusing to
fight back is not a brilliant strategy when you were
in a fight, so I could not.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Do you'll appreciate this historical analogy I have Pere's Morgan
is in hiding. I think as one of the foremost
English soccer fans on the planet, I texted, tweeted him
that basically the second half for England was like Dunkirk
if no one had come to rescue the British Army.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Which I think is a pretty good historical analogy. Yeah, yeah,
now that that is. It was rough. Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I know some of you, you're gonna be so happy
because we're done. I don't care about the World Cup
now anymore. A lot of you didn't care the whole time.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I was just going to do a victory dance if
England won the whole thing, because that would have been
an incredible prediction that I would have made from the
very start of the tournament. On the least, they ripped
my heart out. I'm very sad. Let's talk about America, Okay,
Let's dive into what we got going on here. First
of all, I love this new policy in progress from
the DoD. It's gonna be the TRTDD testosterone replacement.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
We were texting about this. This is incredible.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Secretary of Warhegsath who I'm gonna tell you, when I
met Pete fifteen years ago, there was zero chance he
could bench three hundred and fifteen pounds, just gonna tell you.
This zero chick e bench fifteen years ago. I mean
I would have get I would have bet money that
I could have benched more than him fifteen Okay ago,
So that's you tell you something. So he's benching three
fifteen now he is, I can tell you a fan

(04:46):
of hormone replacement therapy.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
All right, that's very obvious.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
And those who have gone down this pathway have an
understanding of this.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
It is. Well, we'll be joined. Do we have Rut
guys with us on this one? Ah, he's on vac.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
I think he's on he's actually literally on safari right now.
I think he's he's chasing lions, hopefully not actually wrestling
them with his bare hands, although with Rutt you never know,
but he is.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
He is overseas.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
The point here being guys, they're they're looking at doing
a testosterone check as part of the annual medical eval
for men in the military, and they're going to change
the approach to HRT. We will talk more about that later.
I absolutely love this though as an idea, it makes

(05:35):
a lot of sense. It's not a mandate for anybody,
and if your testosterone is healthy, there's no one's going
No doctor is going to say, you know, oh, you're
thirty years old, you're twenty five years old, your testosterone
level is seven fifty or eight hundred nanograms a deca leader.
I think that's what the you know NGL. Yeah, no
one's gonna say, oh my gosh, we need to start

(05:55):
doing more. But if you're a guy in the military
and you're forty or forty five and you want to
be operating at your.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Best, makes a lot of sense. Okay, there is that
part of it.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
But Clay one thing yesterday I talked a bit about first,
so do you hear the discussion on the squatting I
got a lot of response on that one, the squatting show.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Well, I saw that you were tweeting about this. In
the context of this is you being in a hotel
room and just scrolling through on the guide and you
just picked the random show to watch, and you've been Yeah,
you've been obsessed with this show.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Now I love this I love this show. I'm not
the only one. We've invited this guy on. We can
get to that later. But the squatting thing has really
taken off something else that I talked about. We talked
about the top of the show, which was they can't
back off of this policy on immigration. Let's get into immigration.
Let's get into some top line items here. Clay, we
were discussing immigration yesterday and the first hour of the program,

(06:49):
and I was saying, and you agreed, and saying, look,
you can't give in to these communists and say we're
not going to do vehicle stops anymore, because there's been
two incidents where people tried to ram ICE officers with
their cars and they got shot. By the way, if
you tried to ram your local sheriff with your car,
you were likely to get shot.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
And that is a lawful shooting, right.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I mean, this is not a complicated matter, assuming the
facts line up in that way. Some people were saying,
why are you being so hard? I don't know if
you saw some of this. It was a little bit
of chirping. Why are you complaining about this? It's fine,
it's fine, it's fine. It's not fine. And we know
that because Trump himself has come out with the following, Clay,

(07:30):
the men and women of ICE this was on truth
are doing a great job. Crime is way down. The
open border policy of Sleepy Joe allowed twenty five million
oh people to pour into our country. Many were criminals.
We have to get them tough, et cetera. The traffic stop.
We cannot give up on one of ICE's most important

(07:50):
and effective crime fighting tools, the traffic stop. He's saying here,
I won't read the whole things, it's pretty long, but
Clay Trump came back, overruled this decision that was in
an internal memo within DHS.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
The traffic stops are back.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
I just want to say, Clay and bucket results the
President agrees with us.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You can't. I mean this to me is just very basic.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
You cannot tell bad guys what they can do to
avoid consequences for being bad guys. Because some people are
going to be surprised by this, many of you who
worked in law enforcement or not. The bad guys often
know exactly what the law is and will use the
law to their advantage when it comes to are how
much drugs are they carrying? They'll know mandatory minimum laws,

(08:36):
They'll know they'll sometimes have people who are underage be
doing things for them because those guys have less significant
consequences if they're caught. You can't tell people, hey, if
you get in a car and flee, we're no longer
going to be pursuing you, because the worst thing you
could do is actually create more of these situations, Buck,

(08:58):
which is exactly what this will do, because it encourages
people to know exactly what they have to do to
avoid being taken into custody by ice.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
So I think this was a mishap.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I do think the design Buck, the fact that this
happened in Maine.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I do think.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Politically there was a concern that this was going to
be difficult for Susan Collins to reconcile, and if this
had happened in like we saw happen in Texas, I
don't think there was any rapid try to address that situation.
I think the fact that this happened in a battleground
location where a Senate race is ongoing made the politics

(09:37):
of it particularly fraught, and I think that's the underlying
basis upon which this decision was made. But I think
they got to the right result after twenty four hours
a bit of confusion.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I would just note though, that for anyone who was
who was emailing in shut up, it's fine, Well, no, actually.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Was that actually happening? Were people upset that we were.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Calling the hours there were some we're saying we're being
don't be critical of the administration on this.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
No, we absolutely should be critical of the administration on this.
Trump knew.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
I mean when I see the administration, that's not just Trump.
He has all these people who have to do things.
This was a decision made below, you know, the Trump level,
and he as soon as it was brought to his attention, obviously,
he was like, guys, what are you doing. We got
to keep doing this so cause and effect, right, you know,
you got you got to bring these things up to
get people to see what's happening, because the deportation issue

(10:30):
is absolutely essential. By way, do we have Tommy Laren
on later because she wants to weigh and all this.
We got her at one o'clock. We got Tommy Laren
joinings at one o'clock. We've also got another blonde who
will be on at one o'clock, Caroline Levitt. Back from
uh that's what we call it, transition back to a
White House Press secretary role.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Yes, so back to maternity lee for baby number two.
So she will be having a press availability. And I
would say the biggest news that is out there is
President Trump is going to have a time address tonight
where reports are that he is going to address Chinese
interference in our election, particularly twenty twenty, and how it

(11:10):
might have impacted the overall results of the twenty twenty election.
So are the networks going to cover it? That is
one question. There's been a lot of pushback. I haven't
seen the official determination, but this morning as I was
doing my prep, there was pushback against the idea that
they were going to cover it. And what is the
fallout going to be of these of these comments and

(11:34):
how detailed are they going to be from the President
as it pertains to the election.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I hope that this well, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
I'll just I'll wait and see.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
How about that, Let's see what it's presented here, But
it will be China collusion instead of Russia collusion, it
sounds like, so we'll be entering a new phase of
that discussion. And here's by the way, Tom Holman has
waited on this is specifically on the Ice shootings. And
you guys all know, and I say it just so
I'm on the record. I'm a Tom Holman fan. The

(12:07):
guy is the real deal and is totally dedicated to
the mission.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
This is cut twenty four listening to what he had
to say about the Yes shooting.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
I'm scared to death because social vehicles are sky high.
There's been a lot of shootings. I'm scared to death
that one of these days are RICE officers aren't gonna
be quick enough, the bad guys gonna be quicker, and
I'm going to hand another foll of flag to a
spouse for a child. So you know, President Trump's clear
this policy is not going away. But it all goes
back to the Dems who want to continue attack ICE

(12:35):
and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply,
tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn't a
real long enforce. Says you and I talked about this
year and a half acre, Laura. I said the April
reddick didn't stop. There will be bloodshed, and I'm saying
that right now there's still gonna be more bloodshed unless
they shut their mouth play.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
This is the critical point of many things that that
Homan said there. But Democrats encouraging people to resist so
they can get some political issues, so they can maybe
get something on video or even just news reports in
the preliminary for their own political purposes. They're sending people
into lethal force situations on purpose.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Yes, yes, the goal is to create more renee goods,
more alex Pretti's. They want there to be deaths, they
want there to be violence, because if that occurs, they
get their viral video, which to them is representative of
why what ICE is doing is abhorrent. I do think

(13:36):
this kind of ties in with your Manufacturing Delusion book.
It is worth constantly reinforcing that Democrats have come to
the position that they must risk life and limb to
keep people who are illegally here from being removed from
our country, and that that is a position that virtually

(13:58):
no Democrat in America would have had as recently as
what two thousand. I mean Obama ran on deportations in
two thousand and eight and even twenty twelve. This is
a radical change in the Democrat Party. That orthodoxy now
of their entire left wing guys here is that they
have to stand up and prevent people illegally here from

(14:20):
being taken out of the country. It's really radical that
this has become mainstream in any way.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
All right, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, as you know,
announced this new screening program for testosterone deficiency for service members.
He talks about the science in this that as we age,
our te levels naturally declined.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
This is just a fact.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
You can do something about it though, with Chalk Supplements.
Set yourself up with a subscription to Chalk's Mail Vitality Stack.
It's their best selling product and the solution to not
having enough energy. Like Pete says, men over forty start
experiencing diminished testosterone levels, which is your body's primary energy source,
the hero ingredient, and Chalk's Mail Vitality Stack has been
proven to restore twenty of your body's testosteron levels within

(15:01):
three months. So you're not gonna feel like some NPR writer.
You're gonna feel like a great American mail perhaps even
you're a member of the Armed Forces.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Welcome back in.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
I want to remind everybody that we are now live
on YouTube. This is the very first week that we
have been doing this. The kids are impressed. And by
the kids, I mean my kids. They actually he said
this is pretty good, dad, and you can now watch.
I asked them, I sent them there. They're the experts.
They spend all day on YouTube. If you have kids

(16:08):
or grandkids and you ask them right now what's their
favorite media platform, I would be stunned if their answer
is not YouTube. That's how popular it is with them.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Impressed though, with your you know, dad is looking pretty cool, huh.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
And I'm the link.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
I said, hey, do you have any feedback anything we
can do? And they were impressed. So you can watch
all three hours. You can comment in real time as
well in there, and the audiences have been very, very good.
We're going to continue to refine it get it better
and better. I am waving to you U you go
search out Clay, Travis, Buck, Sexton, Clay and Buck. You

(16:43):
type it in on YouTube Boom, you can go easily
subscribe and you can hang out with us for all
three hours on video as well. And we love those
of you that are continuing to listen on audio two. Yes,
and Rob in Houston, by the way, is pointing out
one of the shootings in the in Texas. I believe Rob,

(17:04):
you can hit us with the details quickly. I saw
this headline that the individual who was shot in Houston
had drugs in the car, right, a lot of them.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
Yes, the esteemed illegal alien apparently had met themseetamines in
the van when he was picked up.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
So that would also explain why somebody might try to
evade cops. Additionally to their status, they're an alleged drug dealer,
so you're not just facing deportation, you're facing a possible
prison sentence.

Speaker 6 (17:34):
Or maybe why the FBI or the or I slue
following him anyway also true. You know also we have
a Soros funded DA down here that wants to do
an investigation. Of course, the distreturning has no authorization over
federal agents, but it's not stopping him. Thank you for
us to trying to whip up the people to have
another George Floyd moment. I don't think people in Houston

(17:56):
are going to have any part of it.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Thank you for the call.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
I don't think this is going to play in Texas
because Texans buy and large support the deportation of illegal immigrants.
But again, I think the main political tension is different,
and I think that's one of the reasons the response
was so rapid. Look, I rely on pure Talk to
stay in touch with my family. I was just mentioning
my kids. My two oldest eighteen and fifteen years old.

(18:19):
They have Puretalk phones and I rely on it to
stay in touch with them. Right now, we've got the
best offer that pure talk has ever put out there.
Fifteen dollars a month for your first three months. That's
the savings of up to one hundred and fifty bucks
when you make the switch again. Fifteen dollars a month
for your first three months. That's how much they believe

(18:39):
that you will love their products. Switch and you get
awesome deal. Pound two five zero, say Clay and Buck
to be connected to Puretalk's US customer service team, same
phone and same phone number, pound two five zero say
play and Buck.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Talking a little bit today about.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Chemistry.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Chemistry is very important to those of you who are
fans of the TV show Breaking Bad know that that
was probably the most famous chemist in pop culture of
our of our lifetime.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Heisenberg was what he called himself in the show. It
is a great show.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I would argue it's on almost every top ten list
of the twenty first century for television shows. I've ever
seen a lot of people put it at number one,
number two, So it's a fantastic show. Chemistry matters a
whole heck of a lot. And there's a couple of
ways we could come at this conversation today. One is
certainly the heg Seth announcement about what's going on now

(19:43):
with d O D Now this is a number of
things coming together at one time. One is just the
the Secretary of War heeg Seth focus on a mentality
of lethality for the DoD and return it to the
roots of fighting.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
This is we don't.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Want to be fighting all over the world, we don't
want to be in wars, but preparing for that it's
not a social Justice experiment. It's not a place where
we park people who couldn't do jobs elsewhere in the
government or in the private sector. It is about efficiency
in fighting and lethality, and that is what the whole

(20:28):
ethos shift has been. I mean, Clay, I think about,
not only did you have before this the Secretary of
Defense who was walking around with the face mask and
the shield out in front.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Remember this under the Biden administration.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
It was humiliating, which was I mean preposterous.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
And by the way, then remember he also vanished and
was in the hospital, unable to be able to be reached,
and didn't notify anybody he was being treated for a
relatively serious I think medical condition that required hospitalization, and
he didn't even tell everybody that he was in the hospital.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
They didn't know where he was.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Think about how much of a gerontocracy we have become
a rule by the old in a society. When you
have our senators now and a former president essentially aging
out with either sudden illness or dementia. This is a
broad This is a two party conversation. By the way,
this isn't just Democrats. Biden was the and it's particularly

(21:29):
egregious for a president to have dementia. But are we
have senators who are too old. We have too many
people who are not in fighting for mentally, who are
in positions of power and authority. That was certainly the
case before with the Biden DoD but we're changing some
of the policies now under the Dow Department of War

(21:50):
and Secretary of War Hegseeth made an announcement here about
testosterone levels play cut six.

Speaker 7 (21:56):
Today, I'm authorizing a new screening program for testosterone deficiency
for our service members, ensuring you have the right testosterone
levels to operate at your absolute best, because it's well
established science that as we age, testosterone levels often naturally drop.
Under the supervision of our world class medical professionals, warfighters

(22:20):
age thirty and older are going to be tested annually
as part of their periodic health assessment. It's a health
assessment that happens every year. We're just adding this test.
Those under thirty can voluntarily choose to get the test
as well. If treatment is recommended. It's entirely your choice
to receive testosterone replacement therapy.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
So let me give you some stats. Everybody again, AI
one of my favorite things. It's so good at polling
stats data really quickly, and unlike Google, it's not, first
of all, left wing propaganda, and second of all, it's
not just endless ads and nonsense. Clay, roughly twenty to
forty percent of American men over thirty over thirty have

(23:07):
low testosterone. Twenty five percent is a widely accepted figure.
Now we're going to start making all these jokes, like
just turn on CNN, or listen to the guys at NPR,
or go listen to most left wing you know podcasters
out that are out there, and you'll immediately notice that
there is a difference between the prevalence of low testosterone,

(23:33):
like apparently from their attitudes often from their appearance low
testosterom on the left and on the right. It's not
obviously a one to one comparison. There are you know,
left wing bodybuilders and I get it, but there is
a significant correlation that is becoming increasingly apparent.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
We can get into that a little bit, Clay. I
would also just point.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Out that this is now where we're all talking about
the odyssey and you have, uh, what's Ellen Payton now, Elliott,
Ellen Page, Elliott, elliotts to now so sad El Elliott
Elliott Page playing a man in the Odyssey a A.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
I guess a Greek soldier.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
We're in a running an armor and this clip is
now circulating everywhere. It doesn't work and it looks like
a teenage girl running in a suit of armor. You
know why, because of the difference in male chemistry and
the testosterone building period of adolescence that men have. My
point of bringing that up is not we can get
into the woke stuff, Clay. It makes a huge difference,

(24:38):
a huge difference in how you can function, in your
strength and everything else. So I think the d O
D is spot on with this. I love this first
of all. I just think it's helpful.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Right.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
We we need our baddest ass guys on the planet
to be as badass as possible. You actually took a
step further, which I think is super interesting and said
it's almost like Captain America style. Our foremost door kickers
out there right the seals of the world, the most advanced.
Many of those guys are already taking all sorts of supplements,

(25:15):
legal and the illegal that take them to the next
level because they're competing to be the baddest ass people
on the planet, and they have advanced knowledge on how
to maximize their performance. Right, that's what their job requires.
I mean, if you're in a frontline combat unit of
any kind where physical strength, endurance, and recovery are about

(25:38):
life and death, I would make I'm not just making
this case out of Thanaa. I've talked to guys from
the most elite special operations teams about this, and I've
never heard any of them say we shouldn't be able
to optimize our again with under doctor supervision. And I
mean people will say, oh, but what about all these
side effects and stuff?

Speaker 1 (25:58):
How old does Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's like eighty now, isn't
he him? Mean he's like late seventies or something. I
mean he's seventy six or so. I think he's eighty issue.
I think he might be eighty years old. Okay, he's fine.
And he was the governor of California. That guy was
taking enough steroids to kill an elephant. But he actually
knew what he was doing and he understood, you know,

(26:19):
the process for bodybuilding and stuff. People are made to
think that these things, like like so many things played,
the poison is in the dosage, so to speak.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
If you don't know what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
You can really you can give yourself a heart attack,
you can have terrible side effects, all kinds of things.
But with medical supervision you would just be enhancing. So
I know I'm going a step.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
People, I no, no, I would just go to this point, Buck,
The guys are getting shot at right the immediate threat
to their life is that someone is trying to kill them.
If you gave me a choice, and I think most
of those guys out there listening right now, if you
gave me a choice, and I could be optimized when
people are trying to kill me, to make it more

(26:59):
likely that I am going to live through the intense
combat situations that I may well be involved in, but
thirty years from now there might be a consequence to
my health. I'll take that risk because I want to
be at the absolute apex of my ability when I
am in the absolute most danger. And I just think

(27:19):
this is a no brainer. We should want our troops
to be as healthy as possible. Or remember Buck, and
I think this is this is important. Remember when they
did the T level testing of the NPR radio guys. Well,
this is where this is where the Democrats. You'll have
like the like the Pods Save Bros, for example, get
very angry if they hear people on the right talking

(27:41):
about this. And those guys actually seem pretty like they
don't seem like the NPR guys. To me, they seem
like normal guys. But most left wing guys that you
come across in the media seem like they have the
testosterone of a fourteen year old girl.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
That's just reality, and they can people can get angry
about this, but you know, and then there's like if
that Turkish communist that they're foisting on us all the
time in the media from the left, this guy, I mean,
he's clearly taken stuff in the past. So it's like,
I get it. Not everyone is going to be in this,
you know, in this mold. But the reality is there's

(28:15):
a difference between man right and left when it comes
to tesosterone levels. You could do the randomized trial that
you could do on this or the randomized testing I
should say you can do this, Clay would be hilarious.
Another point, if you actually addressed low tee and a
lot of these men in the media, they would start
being more conservative. Everyone who understands hormone therapy replacement would

(28:35):
be like, yep, the data would support that.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Here's an easy way, I'll kind of sum it up.
I continue to travel and be blown away by the
number of people wearing masks every time I go to
New York, every time I go to la If I
said to you, how many Republicans, how many Trump voters
do you think are wearing a mask anywhere in America?
Are there any that are still like wearing masks regularly?

(28:59):
And here's another so I think if you were trying
to decide how somebody voted entirely just based on looking
at them, I think you could largely say that someone
wearing a mask almost assuredly voted for Kamalo.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Right. And if you just start walking through an.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Airport, I would bet the number of guys that can
bench press buck two and twenty five pounds or more.
That's two plates on the side for those of you
out there and lift and vote for Democrats is almost
non existent.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Right.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
A lot of these guys would just not vote right
because they're young, typically and athletic. They may not be
particularly plugged in. But I do think strength is going
to be characterized as a Republican virtue in general for
men and I think weakness is going to be a
democrat of virtue or lack thereof for men too, And
I think a lot of that has to do with testosterone.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Loves. I would love to see this study.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
If you just went to men and you analyze their testosterone,
I bet you could almost definitively predict how they vote.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
I think it's yeah, I think it's true in a
lot of cases. I mean meaning that I think it
would be statistically significant. And again, you know, we don't
have to get hate tweets from like some left wing bodybuilder.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
I know they exist and everything.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
This is about what is true on average, but in
a way that is meaningful, which affects the way that
people think in groups and on you know, kind of large,
large scale Arnold will be back seventy nine years old
this month, right and on the I can tell you
from my own experience just seeing active duty a lot
of activity duty military guys in the g Watt era

(30:35):
and then some of the contractors, the Blackwater esque guys,
if you will.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Some of those guys were.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Juicing like crazy because they weren't being you know, nobody
was drug testing those guys, and they look like he
man and you.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Know, I don't think that they were upset about it,
you know, I think that they felt.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Like it was helpful for their jobs carrying around seventy
pounds of gear and the you know, plate armor and
and and also here here's here's here's a real test
for you. You are in a humvy that has been
hit by an ied and it's on fire, and every
second counts, and you're either going to get out of there,
you know, okay, or you know, God forbid something You're

(31:14):
gonna you know, we all know what's gonna happen. If
you're staying there. Do you want the guy who's reaching
to grab you? Are you going to be upset if
you find out that he's been biochemically enhanced with pentagon
oversight to be basically super physiologically strong. I wouldn't be
upset about that. I'd be like, I want the strongest
guy on the planet if I can, to be grabbing

(31:35):
me out of that humvy that is on fire. And
so I just I don't understand what the objection to it.
And now that, by the way, that's a step up.
PiZZ just talking about hormone replacement for people who have
a medical deficiency and also there's all kinds of stuff.
You know, we can we invite doctor hoven on guys.
She wrote a book on testosterone which I've read, uh

(31:58):
and is fantastic. And you know what the best part
of the book is Clay. It is pure undisputed science.
She got hate from the left, including scientists, for writing it.
Of course, it's just about what testosterone does. She wrote
a factual book about testosterone, and she was maligned for
telling people the truth about it. And it has to

(32:21):
do with so many things, your mood and everything else.
So I love that the Dow is doing this. And yeah,
I don't actually think that we want soldiers running around
who feel and look like they're in an Ellen Page
situation where they can't carry their armor. Like that's not
a good thing. That's not helpful for anybody. So yeah, uhh,
there we go. It's important. I know, I know, fired

(32:43):
up about this. I'm also fired up about supershore business owners.
Who do you rely on for business insurance? Probably a friendly,
smiling broker who shows up once a year. But guess what,
you don't just work once a year. Your business operates
year round. So what's covered? What's an what coverage you need,
what enhancements did you add on to it? This is
where supershore comes in. So look, I'm talking to anybody

(33:06):
involved in getting business insurance. So yeah, that's owners CEOs,
but it's also CFOs HR directors from any company with
more than twenty five employees. Okay, because then you absolutely
need to get super Short. Supersuore is license in every
state for your business insurance and employee benefits, all with
year round support for you and your team no additional cost.
Supershore also has a fine print facts tool translates your

(33:29):
current policy into play in English. See see what's covered
and what's not. Go to supershore dot com slash buck
see why growing businesses are moving beyond traditional brokers. That's
supershort dot com slash b Uck paid for by super
Short Insurance Agency LLC, a license insurance agency.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Looking for normal in a world of crazy playing Buck
have your back.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Welcome back in Clay and Buck. Where are rolling through
the Thursday edition of the program.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
We got a bunch of callers who want to weigh
in variety of different topics. Tommy Laren's going to join
us top of the next hour that should be fun
to talk about a wide variety of topics with all
of us. But let's play a couple of these people
are reacting to the conversation we just had about the
testosterone therapy TEA level checks for the Department of War.

(34:17):
Jeff in Connecticut, fire Away.

Speaker 8 (34:20):
Hey, sixty six years old. I get testosterone replacement therapy.
Get monitored every three months. They also monitor for the
high estrogen levels. And it's been great. Feel great. You
can keep up in the gym, and it's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Thanks start, you said, we may have lost him, So
Jeff's with us. Jeff, when do you start?

Speaker 8 (34:46):
I started five years ago and it's been terrific. I
get monitored every three months. They checked for my levels
and then they also checked for the estrogen level because
that can call it. That can get high if you're
on replacement therapy.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yeah, the doc might put you on an estrogen blocker
for that. For those of you out there, there's ways
they can handle it. It's actually anyway that's going to work.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Dog, you're an expert. We should say this because check
with your doctors as always. But if you're a young guy,
you got to be careful because if you want to
have kids, this can factor in. I just want you know,
some of these people out there, if you're thirty five
and you're listening to us and you don't have kids yet,
it's different than if you're fifty five and you've already
had a bunch of kids. That's a very different worldview.

(35:28):
You need to be aware of that if you're trying
to have kids or want to have kids.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
There's something that again, talk to your doctor, not medical advice,
just sharing information here. There's something that some people take
with great efficacy knducer testosterone fifty to one hundred percent
called human choreonic anatotropin. It's actually a female pregnancy hormone
and your doctor can prescribe this for you and it

(35:53):
does not affect it should not affect fertility. If anything,
can actually increase this fertility. But so that's another option
for people. I'm just going to tell you this. If
you have low T as a guy, you are going
to have, it's gonna make your mood worse. You're going
to gain fat, particularly gain fat in the chest area,
which is really not fun because your.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Staging level is going to be high.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
So you're gonna start getting man boobs, you're gonna have
less energy, You're gonna need to take naps in the afternoon.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
You you go down this whole list, you don't have to.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
There's you know, you don't have to go down that
pathway if you don't want to, and certainly if you're
in the military, there's no reason for you. And people
who say, oh, just change your diet, they don't know
what they're talking about. If you're fifty years old, changing
your diet is not going to turn this stuff around.
If you have super low te so they're just they
don't know anything. Anyway, this is a conversation we could
continue to have the second hour. People passionate about this stuff.

(36:41):
But Tommy Laren will be with us, and I'm sure
she likes a high TRT DoD so. I saw Lisa
Booths say, can we make high testosterone mandatory for all
men
