edition of the program. We are rolling into the Senate
primary season, the midterms in general, and one of the
nominees that is going to be we believe in the
United States Senate starting in January of twenty twenty seven

is our friend Ken Paxton, who is on the program. Now, okay,
let's start with some of the numbers that are out
there and let you kind of dive into them. I
understand there is skepticism of polls. Fox News has James
crazy Man taller Rico leading you, Ken. I also saw
another poll from a Texas location this morning as I

was doing prep for the show, which had James Tallerco up.
Do you believe you're behind right now? And what do
you think the average Texan knows about James Tallerico as
we start to enter official campaign season. Do you believe
that they're much still? That you have to be done
to make the average text and aware of just too

but James Tallerico actually is.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah. I think it is close.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I don't know whether the numbers are. I've seen polls
where I'm up a few points. I've seen polls where
I'm down a few points. I think this is a
close race, but we came out of the primary on
May twenty sixth and had I had no money. So
we've been trying to raise money so that we can
we can compete on all forms of media.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Obviously he didn't have the run off.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
He had three extra months to raise money, so he
accumulated through at Blue and through some very liberal donors
from California, like thirty million dollars, and so he's been
up on TV and that obviously is helpful to him.
At some point, though, we are going to be explaining
to the voters what he actually believes. He's running from
every position that he hauled over in the Texas House,

everything he talked about. He's running away from those issues.
And I get it, his issues are not popular with Texans.
He wants he wants to fool the Pew Texas about
what he actually believes, what he's actually voted for. But
we highlight that I cannot believe that Texas will support
this guy.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
We have been talking on this program quite a lot.
You may have seen that I put ten million dollars
on the table for a boys high school team to
be able to play against the WNBA. There's been a
lot of controversy since Sophie Cunningham came out and said
men should not be able to compete in women's sports,
which is a crazy thing that anybody would have to say.
(02:31):
But James Talerico guys cut twenty. He says men and
women's sports is just a culture war fight to tear
us apart. I want to let you react to it,
cut twenty.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
I think people are really tired of these culture war
fights that are designed to tear us apart, designed to
get us angry. I mean, are there are difficult issues
trying to figure out trans athletes in sports? That's an
issue where we could actually come to a policy solution.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, what are your thoughts? Is this a difficult one?
Do you think that it's very complicated?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Not difficult for me?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
I mean, as a father of three daughters who competed
in athletics, I certainly would have been opposed to boys
men in the locker rooms. I would have been opposed
to them competing against my daughters.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's not a fair fight.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
And this is a guy that doesn't obviously have children,
doesn't have daughters, so maybe he doesn't understand what it
means to say that this isn't complicated.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
We should be able to come to some compromise. There
is no compromise.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Men need to compet avast men and women need to
compete against women.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
And those two should not cross paths. It's just not
fair to women.

Ken, thanks for being here with us, wondering if you
could give us a sense of the difference between you
and your opponent, mister tell Rico on immigration issues and
what kind of things has he been saying about that,
because not only is Texas a huge state, so there's
just a lot of population to deal with the illegal
immigration issue, you guys are along the border, so what

where are you and wear is he on this?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
We couldn't be more different, And I would say that
about every issue.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Obviously, now he's changed his position.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
On some of these issues, like the one which had
the transgender issues.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Suddenly he's not for that.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
He's changed his position on the border, saying he wants
a secure border. But the reality is, I sued I
think Joe Biden and Barack Obama almost twenty times trying
to protect our border.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I'm still in, you know, finishing some of those lawsuits trying.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
To protect our ability to build a wall and have
border security and protect our people. He voted against every
single bill that would have protected our border, whether it
was money for border security, our own, our own border patrol,
whether it was for helping federal order arrest people for
state law crimes, whether it was building detention centers, whether
(04:47):
it was building a wall, anything that would help prevent
illegal immigration. James Tallerico voted again. So that's the reality.
He can say what he wants now, but the reality
is he fought us as I was over there fight
the Biden administration to protect and work with the Texas
led such or protect our borders.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
He was doing everything within his power to stop that
from happening.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
The President endorsed you. You were drastically outspent in the
Republican primary by John Cornyn. You just mentioned that you've
been outspent already early. Tall Rico has been running a
lot more ads. He's raising money mostly from outside of Texas.
Do you expect President Trump, who has a huge war chest,
(05:30):
to come in and be able to help you fight
back with these ads? Curious what sort of conversations you
might have had about that, because you've been one of
his staunchest allies in all of politics. I know you
went to some of the criminal trials that he was
facing when a lot of people were running away from him.
You've been defending him. And what sort of support do
you expect from the Republicans and for people out there
(05:52):
that are listening to us right now and know James
Talerico is a crazy left wingers, what can they do
to help you be able to make sure that Texans
are aware of the stakes of this race.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Let me just start off with saying I am a
huge fan of President Trump. I think he's done an
amazing job, and.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I know what I love about him the most is
that he cares so much about the American people and
he's fighting to make things better for Americans and it's
the whole American First agenda, and I love that.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I love that attitude, I love that fight.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
And yeah, I'm obviously would love to have financial support
from as many sources as possible, from donors, from people
all over Texas, from the President, from our Senate Leadership fund,
all of it would be helpful. Given the fact that
my total time to raise money from May twenty six,
so the election is only five months it's a challenge
(06:43):
in the summer to raise money in Texas because a
lot of people are gone on vacation trying to avoid
some of the heat, as you know, and so we
have a limited amount of time and it will take
us a while to accumulate that You said we're running
limited as we're not running really any ads at all
because we are accumulating to spend that money more like
mid September on, assuming we raise what we want to raise.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
So we need help before that to compete with James.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Talerco who had the extra three months, plus has the
Act Blue network, plus has these huge liberal out of state.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Donors from California that popp money in them.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
So't ken, That's what I was going to ask you, Actually,
can you give us a census to the scale and
how much money is California and New York pouring into
Texas to try to help pall Rico.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I think more than half his money's coming from out
of state.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I'm would have to go back and look at the
last report June thirty that I know you've received ten
million from a California liberal tech guy and then of
his thirty million total rays there was you know, most
of it was an Act Blue, which was mostly out
of state. So I would say a very high percentage
of his money is coming from.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Out of state, and I think that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I think Texans don't necessarily believe in James Salrico, and
they're not going to once they know the truth.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
So he is being.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Bolstered by out of state liberal socialist Democrats because that
is effectively what he is.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
He's trying to act like some moderate Democrats.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
He is much more in the Mondani wing of the
party than he is some moderate Democrat.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
He says they're six genders. We've played that audio before.
He believes that people are being too cruel when it
comes to shutting down borders. He's not even a guy
that enjoys eating meat. That seems like a really difficult
proposition for Texas, And again, I think it comes back
to a large extent on do you have the ability
(08:35):
to get all of those statements out for the average
Texan to see? In particular, as you well know, a
lot of people just start paying attention right now, and
the Democrat crazy wing is so committed to their side
that making everybody understand the stakes is sometimes one of
the biggest aspects of this right.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yeah, you have no doubt about it. First of all,
I'd love to know what the sixth changers are. I'm
still waiting for him to tell us this idea that
he somehow loves meat. Now, when he was running a
vegan campaign and he announced at wearing a mask saying
that it was you know, meat was hurting you know,
climate change problems.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
So this idea now suddenly he eats me. It's just
it's typical.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
He's doing the flip flop because he knows that those
positions were popular with leftist Democrats socialist Democrats in the primary,
but they're not popular with most Texans, and so he's
changed his positions. But there's no doubt that there is
a challenge of convincing people that we do have a
close race, and it's it's largely about, you know, funding
the race people. I truly believe we have the resources to,
(09:39):
as you said, highlight what he actually has said, his
own words, his own votes, his own videos, his own interviews.
I think we win the race by not actually won't
be a close race. We will win by a very
decent margin. It's just a matter of getting people to
pay attention, and as you know, where mid term elections
tend to favor the party not in power and the motivated.
(10:00):
We need to make sure every single Republican gets out
of vote. If they don't, then we've got problems.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Wondering what your senses for the Texans that you talk
to the everyday text in the rank and file about
how are they feeling about this economy and how is
that affecting how they view your Senate race the GOP
more broadly, because President Trump is in charge, stock market
is an all time high today, but there's a lot
(10:27):
of chatter online about people feeling the heat or rather
feeling the pinch from high prices for groceries, high rent prices.
So how do you describe the feeling of the average
Textan about the economy and what do you think could
be done when you're in the Senate to help?
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah, I do think it's a legitimate issue.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Obviously, the Biden administration when they were in an office,
spent a lot of money. They created a lot of inflation,
drove up the cost of housing, drove up, the cost
of groceries, drove the cost of gas.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
If whatever cast was very high.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Bide administration so you know, they did it on purpose
by borrowing money and spending it and giving it away
to all kinds of different projects.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
But it hurt the American people.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
And of course with this war going on with Iran,
we now have high gas prices again they come down,
and so it is definitely having the impact is gas prices.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Energy prices affect the entire economy.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
They increase the cost of goods in all kinds of
different environments, including groceries and other things that people care about.
So we definitely have some things to deal with. And
I'm certainly hopeful that this thing with Iran can come
to an end successfully. And of course I don't have
the intelligence on how that's working, but I'm very optimistic
that President Trump understands this situation, he understands where American

what Americans are dealing with, And when I have the opportunity,
we're actually going to announce an economic plan that I
think will help. We're going to do that later today,
so stay tuned on that.

the state of Texas. The coaches poll just came out
for college football. I'm not sure if you've seen this yet,
so nobody's been able to maybe get you breaking news.
All right, So here's breaking news for Texans out there.
This is the Coaches Poll. Texas Longhorns preseason number four,
(12:14):
Texas A and M preseason number eight, Texas Tech pre
season number twelve, SMU preseason number twenty, Houston preseason number
twenty four. So for state of Texas, five of the
top twenty four teams in the nation are right now ranked.
Buck will have no idea on this, but for you,
(12:37):
I'm putting you on the hot seat here. Which of
the Texas top twenty five football programs I just ran
through is going to have the best season this fall?

I am going to guess that.

It looks like the rankings have Texas with Arch Manning,
I guess going to be.

Their quarterback this year.

Think they have a pretty good chance of having a
really good season. I was a little more optimistic for
him last last season. They didn't perform like I think
we all hoped and expected. But I think Texas got
a really good chance. And I would never count A
and M OL They always are recruiting well, they have
a big reach, and any of these schools in Texas

that are ranked, as you know, have an opportunity to
finish very well this year.

I feel a little a little better about the situation
in Texas despite the polls that have come out that
are making it seem very close. Ken Paxton's confident he
can get it done. He does need the resources, he
needs a support of the Texans who can show up
and make sure that Talla Rico, because I'm gonna tell
you something, it's bigger than just one cent seat. If

you have somebody as just bizarre in so many ways
and kind of if emininely left wing in so many
of his positions, and as James Tallerico and he is
a senator from Texas, it's going to really, in a

bad way energize Democrats for the twenty eight election. I
can tell you that they really they've wanted a Texas
Senate seat for a long time, and the money they're
going to pour into this is going to be tremendous,
and it's you know, it's a right now. Republicans are
can feel a little complacent. I think Clay. I think
you can feel a little bit like, oh, you know,

Trump's in charge in the White House and we have
a majority and we're we're doing pretty well.

This that can change very quickly. Yeah, I think all
of that is one hundred percent accurate. I also think
this is a sign Democrats are pouring money in right now,
and he is. If you're in Texas, it's the hottest
time of year. This is when you're on vacation. What
really matters there is Labor Day, right when everybody pivots

from summer breaks. High school football season is underway, college
football season is underway. People start paying attention. But I
do think the committed cadre of left wingers is going
to show up and vote for their guy or their gal.
And this is where having resources matters. And that's why
I was asking the question about President Trump. I believe

accounts right now that he could theoretically be deploying. I
suspect that he is in some way. Also, Elon Musk
is going to start spending money. All of these things
I think are going to factor in in a big way.

trajectory of the government, and Texas is one of them,
and Democrats cannot be allowed to win in that state

respond to absurdity is by layering another level of absurdity

on it, Buck. A ton of high school boys basketball
state championship teams have reached out wanting to play in
this game. The WNBA Las Vegas Aces have been completely silent.
That kind of tells you everything, right, The boys and
their coaches are aware that they would dominate these girls,
and these grown women would lose to a team of boys,

and so it illustrates perfectly the absurdity of trying to
allow men to compete in women's sports.

I actually think, Clay, I think the first part of
your proposition for me is far more poignant mockery or
satire or whatever, because we've already had we mentioned the
women's national soccer team playing against the U sixteen. I
think it might have even you fifteen youth fifteen.

From only Dallas, and they crushed the women's World Cup
winning championship team. So we know that, I mean, we
know that a team of adolescent of skilled adolescent athletes
who are men or you know, young men soon to
be men, whatever, would beat the best women's teams in

the world in these events because of strength and speed disparity.
What I find so interesting about the Nashville Balls, and
of course beyond even just its fabulous mascot and the
many other merch opportunities that it presents, by the way
we're I think we're really just scratching the surface here.
As a matter of commerce, the Nashville Balls would do

phenomenally well, and I think it would become kind of
a lifestyle brand. But the other part of this is
on what basis would the w NBA, given its current
leadership decisions and policies, on what basis would they allow
or exclude somebody from being a self described trans player,

as in, could you have Charles Barkley put on a
wig and be like, yeah, I'm a woman, now let's play.
You know how could they say no? What would the
They're not going to do like testosterone testing or any
of these things. So I think that you would run.

What you'd run into is what is the current Well,
first of all, what are the current regulations for whether
somebody would be considered a trans player who could play
in the w NBA. And really, really what we need
We need a trans player in the w NBA who
is completely dominant and makes a mockery of that. We
just need one. The team thing is fun, and I

get why everyone's enjoying talking about that, including us, but
all you need is one entirely dominant player. Because we
saw this in mixed martial arts and there was a
there was a male to female mixed martial arts competitor
and it was dangerous for the women.

We were being extremely severely harmed and beat up in
a way that was not normal for women fighting against
other women, and that kind of brought an end to that.
I'm somebody who doesn't enjoy women in mixed martial arts
personally at all period. I don't think women's women's physiology
is meant for that. People can get mad at me,
I don't care they're wrong, but nonetheless that's the only

Women's the Women's Tennis Association, has come out and said, hey,
we're not going to allow men to compete in tennis.
The NCAA because Trump won the election and issued an
executive order in the wake of Leah Thomas winning a
women's title as a man tucking his penis into a
women's bathing suit. Somehow. I don't even know how that works.

It's just a patently absurd situation. Riley Gaines has talked
a lot about that. All of these women's organizations that
actually want to fight against it, including the Olympics, have
just come out and said, we're not going to allow
men who identify as women to be able to do this.
All they have to do, all they have to do
in the w NBA is say the w NBA is

for women. They won't say it. Here's cut five with
Arena Sabolinka, who is I believe the number one women's
tennis player in America courag the wrgeous book in the world. Sorry, yes,

in line behind Sophie Cunningham and saying, yes, this is
the right thing to do for women's sports. Cut five.

The WTA recently announced that players will take a one
time gender test.

How do you feel about that, first probab league to
go in that direction.

I think it's really important to keep the fairness in
our tour, and it's always the biologically right. The man
way stronger than women, so I feel like it would
be not really fair for that woman to compete against
biological men. So it's I believe it took them a
little while to make the decision and I support it.

But for me, I'm focusing on myself on my goals.
You know, whatever it takes they want to test of us, all,
I'm happy to do that. It's pretty fair and let's
keep it that way.

And she's Russian, so she's not you know, she not
subjected to the same kind of nonsense left wing wokeism
on a regular basis. And also they've been they've been
blacking out the flag next to her name for years.
I think they still do that, as if that's going
to teach putin a lesson. It's not her fault that

I think it's even more important for tennis to draw
this line, or rather more urgent, because okay, if you're
going to allow men to compete against women in tennis,
first of all, it's very similar to if you have
a high level male college tennis player, he's going to

pretty much smoke all but maybe the top twenty or
thirty women in the world.

Would smoke them. We had this discussion. I talked to
a bunch of tennis players. They said, any starting male
college tennis player would beat Venus and Serena Williams at
the ampex of their ability, beyond a shadow of a down.

Yet, I mean, because they just they move faster, they
hit harder, all the balls have more weight behind them,
and yeah, the whole thing. But so think about this.
You could be I think the men's purse and the
women's purse, by the way, which are equal in tennis. Now,
I will say women's tennis is actually unlike the WNBA
A I think, an excellent spectator experience like you can

and I think it's even better in some ways than
the male experience of tennis, because people can get mad
me for this too. But the serve is such a
if you're a tennis player, the serve is such a
big deal in men's tennis, and the points are much
shorter in women's tennis. To serve is much less of
a thing, so you can appreciate the crafting of the
points and and you can kind of watch a little
more and you can follow it a little bit better

than men. I would have not hitting one hundred and
forty mile an hours, sir.

I would also add in Buck, I mean two out
of three tennis sets is actually for most viewers way
better than three out of five, because I would agree
with that watch a five hour Most people don't want
to watch a five hour tennis.

Match, so women's so women's tennis having equal perse that. Actually,
I have no problem with women's tennis gets great ratings
and women's tennis is a great watch. But I just
think that if you were off, if you're a guy,
you could make. You could show to the US Open
and you could just beat all the women and make
three million bucks, which is I think what the purse is,
three million dollars.

That somebody at some point would be like, I'm gonna
grow my hair long, say my name is not you know,

give credit to Sabolinka and others and for brave women

the league should make that decision. That would protect all

the players in coaches from having to take the heat.
This should be a commissioner based decision where the commissioner

I went to college, we had girls volleyball. And I

don't know who came up with the idea that girls
have to play volleyball in tiny spandex shorts. It doesn't
make any sense to me, Like, I don't know why
they couldn't play in basketball shorts, for instance, or you know,
like normal pants. I just remember thinking, this is whoever
came up with the idea that girls basically play volleyball

in bikinis, even when you're like talking about indoor volleyball.
I remember as a teenage boy being like, that person
is the greatest genius in the history of mankind. And
the fact that that has now moved to bikinis for
beach volleyball is certainly doesn't hurt their popularity.

nominees that is going to be we believe in the

let's start with some of the numbers that are out
there and let you kind of dive into them. I
understand there is skepticism of polls. Fox News has James
crazy Man taller Rico leading you, Ken. I also saw
another poll from a Texas location this morning as I

was doing prep for the show, which had James Tallerco up.
Do you believe you're behind right now? And what do
you think the average Texan knows about James Tallerico as
we start to enter official campaign season. Do you believe
that they're much still? That you have to be done
to make the average text and aware of just too
(01:06):
but James Tallerico actually is.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah. I think it is close.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I don't know whether the numbers are. I've seen polls
where I'm up a few points. I've seen polls where
I'm down a few points. I think this is a
close race, but we came out of the primary on
May twenty sixth and had I had no money. So
we've been trying to raise money so that we can
we can compete on all forms of media.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Obviously he didn't have the run off.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
He had three extra months to raise money, so he
accumulated through at Blue and through some very liberal donors
from California, like thirty million dollars, and so he's been
up on TV and that obviously is helpful to him.
At some point, though, we are going to be explaining
to the voters what he actually believes. He's running from
every position that he hauled over in the Texas House,
(01:51):
everything he talked about. He's running away from those issues.
And I get it, his issues are not popular with Texans.
He wants he wants to fool the Pew Texas about
what he actually believes, what he's actually voted for. But
we highlight that I cannot believe that Texas will support
this guy.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
We have been talking on this program quite a lot.
You may have seen that I put ten million dollars
on the table for a boys high school team to
be able to play against the WNBA. There's been a
lot of controversy since Sophie Cunningham came out and said
men should not be able to compete in women's sports,
which is a crazy thing that anybody would have to say.
(02:31):
But James Talerico guys cut twenty. He says men and
women's sports is just a culture war fight to tear
us apart. I want to let you react to it,
cut twenty.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
I think people are really tired of these culture war
fights that are designed to tear us apart, designed to
get us angry. I mean, are there are difficult issues
trying to figure out trans athletes in sports? That's an
issue where we could actually come to a policy solution.

Okay, what are your thoughts? Is this a difficult one?
Do you think that it's very complicated?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Not difficult for me?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
I mean, as a father of three daughters who competed
in athletics, I certainly would have been opposed to boys
men in the locker rooms. I would have been opposed
to them competing against my daughters.

It's not a fair fight.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
And this is a guy that doesn't obviously have children,
doesn't have daughters, so maybe he doesn't understand what it
means to say that this isn't complicated.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
We should be able to come to some compromise. There
is no compromise.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Men need to compet avast men and women need to
compete against women.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
And those two should not cross paths. It's just not
fair to women.

Ken, thanks for being here with us, wondering if you
could give us a sense of the difference between you
and your opponent, mister tell Rico on immigration issues and
what kind of things has he been saying about that,
because not only is Texas a huge state, so there's
just a lot of population to deal with the illegal
immigration issue, you guys are along the border, so what
(03:59):
where are you and wear is he on this?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
We couldn't be more different, And I would say that
about every issue.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Obviously, now he's changed his position.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
On some of these issues, like the one which had
the transgender issues.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Suddenly he's not for that.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
He's changed his position on the border, saying he wants
a secure border. But the reality is, I sued I
think Joe Biden and Barack Obama almost twenty times trying
to protect our border.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I'm still in, you know, finishing some of those lawsuits trying.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
To protect our ability to build a wall and have
border security and protect our people. He voted against every
single bill that would have protected our border, whether it
was money for border security, our own, our own border patrol,
whether it was for helping federal order arrest people for
state law crimes, whether it was building detention centers, whether
(04:47):
it was building a wall, anything that would help prevent
illegal immigration. James Tallerico voted again. So that's the reality.
He can say what he wants now, but the reality
is he fought us as I was over there fight
the Biden administration to protect and work with the Texas
led such or protect our borders.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
He was doing everything within his power to stop that
from happening.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
The President endorsed you. You were drastically outspent in the
Republican primary by John Cornyn. You just mentioned that you've
been outspent already early. Tall Rico has been running a
lot more ads. He's raising money mostly from outside of Texas.
Do you expect President Trump, who has a huge war chest,
(05:30):
to come in and be able to help you fight
back with these ads? Curious what sort of conversations you
might have had about that, because you've been one of
his staunchest allies in all of politics. I know you
went to some of the criminal trials that he was
facing when a lot of people were running away from him.
You've been defending him. And what sort of support do
you expect from the Republicans and for people out there
(05:52):
that are listening to us right now and know James
Talerico is a crazy left wingers, what can they do
to help you be able to make sure that Texans
are aware of the stakes of this race.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Let me just start off with saying I am a
huge fan of President Trump. I think he's done an
amazing job, and.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I know what I love about him the most is
that he cares so much about the American people and
he's fighting to make things better for Americans and it's
the whole American First agenda, and I love that.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I love that attitude, I love that fight.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
And yeah, I'm obviously would love to have financial support
from as many sources as possible, from donors, from people
all over Texas, from the President, from our Senate Leadership fund,
all of it would be helpful. Given the fact that
my total time to raise money from May twenty six,
so the election is only five months it's a challenge
(06:43):
in the summer to raise money in Texas because a
lot of people are gone on vacation trying to avoid
some of the heat, as you know, and so we
have a limited amount of time and it will take
us a while to accumulate that You said we're running
limited as we're not running really any ads at all
because we are accumulating to spend that money more like
mid September on, assuming we raise what we want to raise.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
So we need help before that to compete with James.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Talerco who had the extra three months, plus has the
Act Blue network, plus has these huge liberal out of state.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Donors from California that popp money in them.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
So't ken, That's what I was going to ask you, Actually,
can you give us a census to the scale and
how much money is California and New York pouring into
Texas to try to help pall Rico.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I think more than half his money's coming from out
of state.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I'm would have to go back and look at the
last report June thirty that I know you've received ten
million from a California liberal tech guy and then of
his thirty million total rays there was you know, most
of it was an Act Blue, which was mostly out
of state. So I would say a very high percentage
of his money is coming from.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Out of state, and I think that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I think Texans don't necessarily believe in James Salrico, and
they're not going to once they know the truth.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
So he is being.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Bolstered by out of state liberal socialist Democrats because that
is effectively what he is.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
He's trying to act like some moderate Democrats.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
He is much more in the Mondani wing of the
party than he is some moderate Democrat.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
He says they're six genders. We've played that audio before.
He believes that people are being too cruel when it
comes to shutting down borders. He's not even a guy
that enjoys eating meat. That seems like a really difficult
proposition for Texas, And again, I think it comes back
to a large extent on do you have the ability

to get all of those statements out for the average
Texan to see? In particular, as you well know, a
lot of people just start paying attention right now, and
the Democrat crazy wing is so committed to their side
that making everybody understand the stakes is sometimes one of
the biggest aspects of this right.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yeah, you have no doubt about it. First of all,
I'd love to know what the sixth changers are. I'm
still waiting for him to tell us this idea that
he somehow loves meat. Now, when he was running a
vegan campaign and he announced at wearing a mask saying
that it was you know, meat was hurting you know,
climate change problems.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
So this idea now suddenly he eats me. It's just
it's typical.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
He's doing the flip flop because he knows that those
positions were popular with leftist Democrats socialist Democrats in the primary,
but they're not popular with most Texans, and so he's
changed his positions. But there's no doubt that there is
a challenge of convincing people that we do have a
close race, and it's it's largely about, you know, funding
the race people. I truly believe we have the resources to,
(09:39):
as you said, highlight what he actually has said, his
own words, his own votes, his own videos, his own interviews.
I think we win the race by not actually won't
be a close race. We will win by a very
decent margin. It's just a matter of getting people to
pay attention, and as you know, where mid term elections
tend to favor the party not in power and the motivated.
(10:00):
We need to make sure every single Republican gets out
of vote. If they don't, then we've got problems.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Wondering what your senses for the Texans that you talk
to the everyday text in the rank and file about
how are they feeling about this economy and how is
that affecting how they view your Senate race the GOP
more broadly, because President Trump is in charge, stock market
is an all time high today, but there's a lot
(10:27):
of chatter online about people feeling the heat or rather
feeling the pinch from high prices for groceries, high rent prices.
So how do you describe the feeling of the average
Textan about the economy and what do you think could
be done when you're in the Senate to help?
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah, I do think it's a legitimate issue.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Obviously, the Biden administration when they were in an office,
spent a lot of money. They created a lot of inflation,
drove up the cost of housing, drove up, the cost
of groceries, drove the cost of gas.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
If whatever cast was very high.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Bide administration so you know, they did it on purpose
by borrowing money and spending it and giving it away
to all kinds of different projects.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
But it hurt the American people.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
And of course with this war going on with Iran,
we now have high gas prices again they come down,
and so it is definitely having the impact is gas prices.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Energy prices affect the entire economy.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
They increase the cost of goods in all kinds of
different environments, including groceries and other things that people care about.
So we definitely have some things to deal with. And
I'm certainly hopeful that this thing with Iran can come
to an end successfully. And of course I don't have
the intelligence on how that's working, but I'm very optimistic
that President Trump understands this situation, he understands where American
(11:43):
what Americans are dealing with, And when I have the opportunity,
we're actually going to announce an economic plan that I
think will help. We're going to do that later today,
so stay tuned on that.

This is the Coaches Poll. Texas Longhorns preseason number four,

Texas A and M preseason number eight, Texas Tech pre
season number twelve, SMU preseason number twenty, Houston preseason number
twenty four. So for state of Texas, five of the
top twenty four teams in the nation are right now ranked.
Buck will have no idea on this, but for you,

I'm putting you on the hot seat here. Which of
the Texas top twenty five football programs I just ran
through is going to have the best season this fall?

needs a support of the Texans who can show up

you something, it's bigger than just one cent seat. If

you have somebody as just bizarre in so many ways
and kind of if emininely left wing in so many
of his positions, and as James Tallerico and he is
a senator from Texas, it's going to really, in a

bad way energize Democrats for the twenty eight election. I
can tell you that they really they've wanted a Texas
Senate seat for a long time, and the money they're
going to pour into this is going to be tremendous,
and it's you know, it's a right now. Republicans are
can feel a little complacent. I think Clay. I think
you can feel a little bit like, oh, you know,

Trump's in charge in the White House and we have
a majority and we're we're doing pretty well.

This that can change very quickly. Yeah, I think all
of that is one hundred percent accurate. I also think
this is a sign Democrats are pouring money in right now,
and he is. If you're in Texas, it's the hottest
time of year. This is when you're on vacation. What

from summer breaks. High school football season is underway, college
football season is underway. People start paying attention. But I
do think the committed cadre of left wingers is going
to show up and vote for their guy or their gal.

accounts right now that he could theoretically be deploying. I
suspect that he is in some way. Also, Elon Musk

trajectory of the government, and Texas is one of them,
and Democrats cannot be allowed to win in that state

noise because we can sit here and say, well, the
chromosomal abnormalities, the average muscle mass, like you can run
through all the factual reasons. Sometimes the best way to
respond to absurdity is by layering another level of absurdity

on it, Buck. A ton of high school boys basketball
state championship teams have reached out wanting to play in
this game. The WNBA Las Vegas Aces have been completely silent.
That kind of tells you everything, right, The boys and
their coaches are aware that they would dominate these girls,
and these grown women would lose to a team of boys,

and so it illustrates perfectly the absurdity of trying to
allow men to compete in women's sports.

I actually think, Clay, I think the first part of
your proposition for me is far more poignant mockery or
satire or whatever, because we've already had we mentioned the
women's national soccer team playing against the U sixteen. I
think it might have even you fifteen youth fifteen.

From only Dallas, and they crushed the women's World Cup
winning championship team. So we know that, I mean, we
know that a team of adolescent of skilled adolescent athletes
who are men or you know, young men soon to
be men, whatever, would beat the best women's teams in

the world in these events because of strength and speed disparity.
What I find so interesting about the Nashville Balls, and
of course beyond even just its fabulous mascot and the
many other merch opportunities that it presents, by the way
we're I think we're really just scratching the surface here.
As a matter of commerce, the Nashville Balls would do

phenomenally well, and I think it would become kind of
a lifestyle brand. But the other part of this is
on what basis would the w NBA, given its current
leadership decisions and policies, on what basis would they allow
or exclude somebody from being a self described trans player,

as in, could you have Charles Barkley put on a
wig and be like, yeah, I'm a woman, now let's play.
You know how could they say no? What would the
They're not going to do like testosterone testing or any
of these things. So I think that you would run.

What you'd run into is what is the current Well,
first of all, what are the current regulations for whether
somebody would be considered a trans player who could play
in the w NBA. And really, really what we need
We need a trans player in the w NBA who
is completely dominant and makes a mockery of that. We
just need one. The team thing is fun, and I

get why everyone's enjoying talking about that, including us, but
all you need is one entirely dominant player. Because we
saw this in mixed martial arts and there was a
there was a male to female mixed martial arts competitor
and it was dangerous for the women.

We were being extremely severely harmed and beat up in
a way that was not normal for women fighting against
other women, and that kind of brought an end to that.
I'm somebody who doesn't enjoy women in mixed martial arts
personally at all period. I don't think women's women's physiology
is meant for that. People can get mad at me,
I don't care they're wrong, but nonetheless that's the only

way this goes away. Yeah.

Look, I think that is a certainty that it needs
to happen. Here's another fun thing we're gonna do, Nashville
Balls merchandise. In fact, I'm texting about making Nashville Balls
merchandise during the course of this program. Let me hit
you at this buck if we brand the Nashville Balls
WNBA champions, well, the WNBA sue and how amazing would

that lawsuit be if I would then get to depose
the WNBA commissioner about trans related issues in the sport.
I'm basically just telling you that I'm going to set
a legal trap for the WNBA to sue me and
argue that my Nashville Balls team is not actually the

WNBA Champion, which will set up a series of profoundly
absurd legal situations if they elect to sue over Nashville
Balls WNBA Champion merchandise. Here's the other thing, buck let
me I think we have. Do we have Arena Sabolinka?
Do we have the audio of this? The WTA, the

Women's the Women's Tennis Association, has come out and said, hey,
we're not going to allow men to compete in tennis.
The NCAA because Trump won the election and issued an
executive order in the wake of Leah Thomas winning a
women's title as a man tucking his penis into a
women's bathing suit. Somehow. I don't even know how that works.

It's just a patently absurd situation. Riley Gaines has talked
a lot about that. All of these women's organizations that
actually want to fight against it, including the Olympics, have
just come out and said, we're not going to allow
men who identify as women to be able to do this.
All they have to do, all they have to do
in the w NBA is say the w NBA is

for women. They won't say it. Here's cut five with
Arena Sabolinka, who is I believe the number one women's
tennis player in America courag the wrgeous book in the world. Sorry, yes,
in the world. Also in America. Here she is getting
in line behind Sophie Cunningham and saying, yes, this is
the right thing to do for women's sports. Cut five.

The WTA recently announced that players will take a one
time gender test.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
How do you feel about that, first probab league to
go in that direction.
Speaker 6 (29:23):
I think it's really important to keep the fairness in
our tour, and it's always the biologically right. The man
way stronger than women, so I feel like it would
be not really fair for that woman to compete against
biological men. So it's I believe it took them a
little while to make the decision and I support it.
(29:45):
But for me, I'm focusing on myself on my goals.
You know, whatever it takes they want to test of us, all,
I'm happy to do that. It's pretty fair and let's
keep it that way.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
And she's Russian, so she's not you know, she not
subjected to the same kind of nonsense left wing wokeism
on a regular basis. And also they've been they've been
blacking out the flag next to her name for years.
I think they still do that, as if that's going
to teach putin a lesson. It's not her fault that
her country is embroiled in a very nasty war with Ukraine.

She didn't start the war. But anyway, Clay, this is all.
I think it's even more important for tennis to draw
this line, or rather more urgent, because okay, if you're
going to allow men to compete against women in tennis,
first of all, it's very similar to if you have
a high level male college tennis player, he's going to

pretty much smoke all but maybe the top twenty or
thirty women in the world.

I mean, if you.

Would smoke them. We had this discussion. I talked to
a bunch of tennis players. They said, any starting male
college tennis player would beat Venus and Serena Williams at
the ampex of their ability, beyond a shadow of a down.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Yet, I mean, because they just they move faster, they
hit harder, all the balls have more weight behind them,
and yeah, the whole thing. But so think about this.
You could be I think the men's purse and the
women's purse, by the way, which are equal in tennis. Now,
I will say women's tennis is actually unlike the WNBA
A I think, an excellent spectator experience like you can
(31:19):
and I think it's even better in some ways than
the male experience of tennis, because people can get mad
me for this too. But the serve is such a
if you're a tennis player, the serve is such a
big deal in men's tennis, and the points are much
shorter in women's tennis. To serve is much less of
a thing, so you can appreciate the crafting of the
points and and you can kind of watch a little
more and you can follow it a little bit better
(31:40):
than men. I would have not hitting one hundred and
forty mile an hours, sir.

I would also add in Buck, I mean two out
of three tennis sets is actually for most viewers way
better than three out of five, because I would agree
with that watch a five hour Most people don't want
to watch a five hour tennis.

Match, so women's so women's tennis having equal perse that. Actually,
I have no problem with women's tennis gets great ratings
and women's tennis is a great watch. But I just
think that if you were off, if you're a guy,
you could make. You could show to the US Open
and you could just beat all the women and make
three million bucks, which is I think what the purse is,
three million dollars.

I think I think that.

That somebody at some point would be like, I'm gonna
grow my hair long, say my name is not you know,
is not is not Tony, It's Tanya, and I'm gonna
make that three million bucks and laugh at everybody about it.
I think you would have that problem.

So yeah, look, I think at one is necessary. I
give credit to Sabolinka and others and for brave women
who are speaking out, but again, all the WNBA would
have to do. This ties in with the clip we
played yesterday Buck of Caitlin Clark, and you said, hey,
you know her deciding not to weigh in. She said
the league should make that decision. That would protect all

the players in coaches from having to take the heat.
This should be a commissioner based decision where the commissioner
should just say, hey, biological women only, peer, we're putting
this to the rest. We're never going to consider this
any further. They won't say it. That's significant. I believe if.

a former teenage boy. This is me speaking as a
former teenage boy here. Did you have a girls you
went to? Your school did not have a girl's volleyball team?
I didn't. I didn't have girls in a classroom with mechell.
I went to college, we had girls volleyball. And I

don't know who came up with the idea that girls
have to play volleyball in tiny spandex shorts. It doesn't
make any sense to me, Like, I don't know why
they couldn't play in basketball shorts, for instance, or you know,
like normal pants. I just remember thinking, this is whoever
came up with the idea that girls basically play volleyball

in bikinis, even when you're like talking about indoor volleyball.
I remember as a teenage boy being like, that person
is the greatest genius in the history of mankind. And
the fact that that has now moved to bikinis for
beach volleyball is certainly doesn't hurt their popularity.

There was a spandex for the women's heavyweight crew team
in college, too, but I could tell you not the same.
